‘I’ve tested the theory’: Florida husband keeps putting Lululemon clothing in the dryer. So he comes up with a creative solution

Lululemon fans to the front. This Florida woman’s husband has a message for everyone who has an item from the athleisure brand. His message might just add some years to your favorite leggings.

Lululemon, founded in 1998, has become a top competitor in the athleisure game. Coming into the industry at least a decade before many of the other well known athleisure brands like Fabletics, Athleta and Alo, the Lululemon brand and product has some aspects that make it stand out.

The company brands its products as giving performance returns and has several proprietary fabrics that make it stand out amongst the competition, according to Healthline

Recently, a woman living in Florida posted a video of her husband’s effort to make sure he’s taking care of her Lululemon items.

Florida Husband’s Hack for Keeping Lululemon Out of the Dryer

“My husband put this on the dryer to remind himself,” TikTok creator Amanda (@dramandadelivers) writes in the caption to her video. The video then shows a dryer with a sign that says “Do NOT Put Lululemon Clothes in the Dryer.” Amanda’s video has 437 comments and 1,100,000 views.

In the comment section several people weigh in about their Lululemon care routines. Some are surprised to hear this advice, others, not so much.

“I have so much Lululemon and it all goes in the dryer and never had an issue,” wrote one viewer.

“Guys, I’ve tested the theory and they pill either way!” a second viewer said.

“My LuLu always goes in dryer. It’s fine,” a third argued.

“Lululemon, Aritzia, anything black, anything with cotton. The list goes on and on,” says another person seemingly exhausted by all the laundry care steps.

Lululemon themselves responded to this video stating, “Our version of a haunted house.”

In another video, Amanda shows a pair of her tights with lints and shriveled up after the dryer. “Never will I ever again,” she captions this video.

Should You Avoid Putting Athleisure in the Dryer?

Athleisure, things like tights, sports bras and stretch workout clothes in general, tend to be made from elastics. Whether that’s the elastic in the band of a sports bra or the waist band of leggings, elastics give your athleisure pieces the snap it needs in the right place.

Overtime, the dryer can diminish that snap. “The heat of a dryer is not good for performance fabric; it can diminish its look, feel, and stretch which will interfere with your yoga practice and other exercise routines,” says Heritage Park Laundry.

Dryers use high heat temperatures and friction, created by clothes rubbing against each other, air drying gives your garments a gentler route to be water free.

To extend the life of your garments, Lululemon’s product care instructions page recommends the following:

  • Wash product in cold water with similar fabrics and colours (avoid cotton fabrics and towels)
  • Avoid using fabric softeners as they can interfere with the technical capabilities of our fabrics
  • Hang items to dry

North West Continues Social Media Assault With IG Debut

North West launched her personal Instagram account on Friday, marking a controversial milestone that reignites the ongoing debate between her parents over children and social media exposure.

The 12-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West posted her first image wearing a black Balenciaga jersey and ribbed miniskirt.

She captioned the blurry photo simply “first post” while flashing peace signs. The account launch comes despite years of public opposition from her father.

The Instagram bio states the account is “managed by parents,” but Kanye’s level of involvement remains unclear. His previous statements suggest continued resistance to his children’s exposure to social media.

Kanye’s concerns have intensified as North’s online presence grows. He previously claimed North was “being put on TikTok against his will” and criticized the platform’s influence on young users.

In 2022, Kanye expressed his opposition to his children’s use of social media.

“I told Kim to stop antagonizing me with this TikTok thing,” he said. “I said, ‘Never again.’ I am her father. I said, ‘I am not allowing my daughter to be used by TikTok.'”

Kim has faced mounting criticism from parenting experts and social media users about North’s online activities. Recent controversies include North posting videos with fake face tattoos, nose piercings and grillz that sparked debates about age-appropriate content.

Critics have questioned Kim’s parenting decisions, particularly after North’s finger piercings and bleached eyebrows generated backlash.

Kim defended her approach in 2022, writing on Instagram: “As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision.”

The account gained thousands of followers within hours of its launch, demonstrating intense public interest in the lives of the Kardashian-West children.

EXCLUSIVE Jay-Z Lawyer Launches $25M War Over Conspiracy To Ruin Her Reputation

Marcy Croft, a lawyer who works closely with Jay-Z, has filed a $25 million defamation lawsuit accusing Houston trial attorney Tony Buzbee of launching a social media smear campaign that falsely branded her a criminal and tried to destroy her legal career.

The lawsuit claims Buzbee, his law firm and an alleged collaborator orchestrated a coordinated attack that accused Croft of felonies, including illegal client solicitation, bribery, intimidation and obstruction of justice, allegations she says are flatly false and malicious.

Marcy Croft is not just any attorney.

She is closely associated with Roc Nation’s criminal justice reform work and has publicly collaborated with Team Roc, the philanthropic arm of Jay-Z’s company, including efforts related to prison reform in Mississippi.

The complaint argues that Buzbee weaponized that visibility to amplify the damage.

According to the filing, the dispute dates back to December 2024, when a former Buzbee client, Jose Maldonado, contacted Croft seeking a free evaluation of concerns regarding the Buzbee Law Firm’s handling of client funds.

Croft says she reviewed limited materials, declined to pursue claims and ended contact. Shortly afterward, Maldonado allegedly aligned himself with Buzbee, setting the stage for what Croft describes as an entrapment effort.

The complaint alleges Buzbee blasted Croft on Instagram and Facebook to more than 100,000 followers, accusing her of running an illegal scheme using “agents” to solicit lawsuits and offering former clients up to $10,000 to sue him.

Croft says those statements were repeated in letters sent on Buzbee Law Firm letterhead to former clients. Her lawsuit alleges the accusations were not only false but also timed to distract from scrutiny of Buzbee’s financial practices.

The filing references other lawsuits and court records questioning the handling of client funds and alleges Buzbee lashed out publicly as pressure mounted.

The complaint sets forth six causes of action, including defamation, defamation per se, false light invasion of privacy, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, and civil conspiracy.

Croft seeks at least $25 million in compensatory damages plus punitive damages, arguing the alleged campaign caused immediate reputational harm, emotional distress and loss of professional standing.

Buzbee has not yet filed a response in court. The lawsuit stems from a previously dismissed lawsuit that fell apart in New York after Jane Doe accused JAY-Z of abuse.

‘Professional baker of 15 years here. I was today years old when I learned this’: Tennessee man figures out right way to use parchment paper. You’ve probably been doing it wrong your whole life

A Tennessee man shocks the internet when he reads the instructions to a parchment paper box and discovers that he had been removing parchment paper from the box the wrong way for his entire life.

On Nov. 22, TikTok user Keni Henderson (@keni_noelle) posted a viral video showing users the correct method, per the box’s instructions, to remove the parchment paper from the roll. The video has amassed over 5 million views.

“My entire life I’ve been digging my little fingers in here, pulling it out and squeezing the ever-loving crap out of the sides to try and get it to rip, only for it to gotta pull through like this,” says the man in the video. “When literally on the box are some gosh dang instructions where you open the box.

Is This the Correct Way to Remove Parchment Paper?

The man explains how he normally removes the parchment paper. “So normally you kind of clamp down, hold it tight, and then pray slides out,” he says. “No, you’re not supposed to do that.”

He then reveals that the method listed on the box’s instructions is much simpler. “There’s a sharp part,” he says, showing the box to the camera. “You tuck the lid into the box like this, and then you just pull.”

“I’m 34 years old, and I’m just now figuring this out,” the man says in dismay.

Viewers React to the Parchment Paper Demonstration

This TikTok user was not the only person to be surprised by these simple instructions, as the comments were similarly shocked.

“Professional baker of 15 years here,” mentioned one user. “I was today years old when I learned this. I just came into my kitchen to try it out, and now I’m sitting at my table questioning my career choice.”

“This is actually life-changing information,” added another.

“At this point, I’m just gonna assume I’ve been breathing wrong, too,” joked a third comment.

This video is part of a larger genre of viral videos on TikTok where a user highlights seemingly simple instructions to an everyday product that many consumers were completely unaware of.

“Sinners” Sweeps Black Film Critics Circle Awards, But Other Great Movies Elevated 2025

Sinners silenced any doubt about the power of Black storytelling by sweeping the Black Film Critics Circle awards in New York City. The movie and others emerged as celebrated films of 2025.

The Ryan Coogler directed drama was named “Best Film of the Year” by the Black Film Critics Circle and led the organization’s annual honors with wins for “Best Director,” “Best Actor” for Michael B. Jordan, “Best Supporting Actor” for Delroy Lindo, “Best Original Screenplay,” “Best Cinematography” and “Best Ensemble Performance.”

The results followed BFCC’s year end voting process recognizing achievements in theatrical motion pictures across 13 competitive categories.

The announcement was delivered by BFCC co-president Mike Sargent, who framed the film’s success within a broader cultural context that extends far beyond awards season.

“We live in a time of cultural erasure for Black folks in America and people of color in general. Books are being banned and achievements are being erased. Yet somehow a film like Sinners can come out and remind not just the importance of Black stories, but how a genre like a horror-vampire movie can speak to the human condition and have social relevance,” Sargent said.

Sargent pointed to industry data to underline the magnitude of Coogler’s achievement, citing a recent industry analysis.

“The stories we consume as a recent article in Hollywood Reporter pointed out. 92% of the Top Scripted Streaming Series Come From white creators,” he continued. “If our creations ( non-white creators) make up only 8% what is actually getting produced, it makes what Ryan Coogler achieved here even more monumental. They may try to erase our past, but they cannot erase our future.”

Co-president Wilson Morales echoed that sentiment, noting that this year’s BFCC honorees reflected a refusal to retreat amid political pressure and industry gatekeeping.

“What we saw this year is a community of filmmakers refusing to shrink in the face of political headwinds or industry gatekeeping. From Ryan Coogler’s vision to the range of performances recognized by BFCC, these films demonstrate that Black stories are not a trend or a niche; they are a vital part of the cinematic conversation,” Morales said.

Beyond Sinners, the BFCC honored Tessa Thompson as Best Actress for Hedda and awarded Best Supporting Actress to Teyana Taylor for One Battle After Another, which also won Best Adapted Screenplay. Chase Infiniti received the Rising Star Award for her breakout performance in that film. The Perfect Neighbor was named Best Documentary Feature, K Pop Demon Hunters earned Best Animated Feature and It Was Just an Accident took Best Foreign Language Film.

Coogler also received the BFCC Pioneer Award recognizing his sustained influence on contemporary Black cinema. The honor cited his ability to balance scale, ambition and authorship while merging spectacle with social consciousness.

Sargent concluded his remarks with a direct appeal to audiences that doubled as a statement about the strength of genre filmmaking.

“I could go on, but I’ll just say if you haven’t seen the film see it if you’ve seen the film see it again. The beauty of genre storytelling is that it’s disarming. You can speak about things in a genre film be a comedy science fiction or horror that may seem heavy handed in a straight drama that’s the power of genre. That’s the power of storytelling and that’s the power of Sinners.”

After years of peaceful coexistence, Alabama woman’s male dogs start fighting. She can’t believe the reason the trainer’s explanation

A woman from Alabama recently noticed her dogs fighting, even though they never used to. She could hardly believe her dog trainer’s explanation for the sudden change.

“I’m on my period. So I asked the trainer, ‘Is this part of the reason why they’re fighting?’ And he goes, ‘Abso-freaking-lutely,’” said TikTok creator @alabamaradio, the host of the “Alabama Radio Show.” Her video has since reached 107,000 views, with many commenters agreeing with the trainer’s claims.

But does science actually support the idea that dogs become “territorial” because they see their owners as their “girlfriend”?

Alabama Woman’s Dogs Randomly Start Fighting

@alabamaradio noticed that her dogs began fighting constantly during her time of the month. “My period has become a problem with my dogs,” she said. “I have two very large dogs that have recently started fighting. They have lived together carefree without a problem for the past two years.”

She hired a new trainer to help correct their infighting, as she isn’t able to break up two 100-pound dogs once they’re in the middle of a brawl. Eventually she asked the trainer whether her period might have something to do with their behavior, and he agreed.

“They think you’re their girlfriend because you have not become their alpha,” the trainer told her. “So they are definitely fighting over you, and they know that you’re on your period.”

He then told her she was a “[expletive] in heat” to her dogs.

Many commenters agreed with @alabamaradio’s trainer, saying they have noticed similar issues. “My trainer told me the reason my male dog listens to me better than he does my husband is because he’s hoping to have puppies with me one day,” one commenter wrote. “It took a while to get over that comment.”

Another added, “My female Irish wolfhound will not let our male collie in the bedroom… while I’m on my period.”

Can Dogs Detect When a Human is Menstruating?

The simple answer is yes, a dog can tell when a woman is menstruating. Animals often have heightened senses of smell, making them more aware of slight changes to odors around them.

According to an animal behavior professional cited in Vet Explains Pets, that allows them to understand slight changes in their environment. “It’s possible that they can detect the hormonal shifts that occur during a woman’s menstrual cycle,” the behavior specialist said.

But, the evidence that dogs can “tell” that women are on their periods is generally anecdotal. It’s not 100% verified by studies or scientific evidence, and is more so discussed amongst professional dog trainers and the animal behavioral community.

Why Dogs are Territorial Over Their Owners

Dogs can tend to be territorial over their owners, as domestication hasn’t entirely removed their inherent territoriality.

While a dog might not necessarily consider their owner a “girlfriend,” they can be strongly bonded to their owners and consider them their “territory.” Canine territoriality can be influenced by the animal’s natural instincts, their emotional connection to their owner, their environment, and their overall socialization and training.

If dogs can truly detect and understand hormonal cycles and changes to a woman’s menstrual phases, it’s also likely that they can become more territorial during certain periods.

Drake Curse Strikes Again: Jake Paul Knocked Out By Anthony Joshua In High-Stakes Bout

Drake watched his $200,000 bet crumble Saturday night as Jake Paul fell short against Anthony Joshua in a widely anticipated boxing match that once again breathed life into the infamous “Drake curse.”

The Canadian rapper had posted a screenshot of his wager on Instagram ahead of the fight, captioning it, “Jakeyyyyy boy. Lock tf in.”

But the gamble didn’t pay off. Joshua overwhelmed Paul in a lopsided contest, adding another name to the growing list of athletes who’ve stumbled after receiving Drake’s public backing.

Anthony Joshua edged the early rounds on the scorecards, but the fight unfolded as a slow, awkward mess with little clean action. Jake Paul relied on movement, light jabs and occasional right hands to survive, repeatedly circling and keeping distance while avoiding major damage.

Joshua applied pressure and landed sporadic body shots, an uppercut and a few glancing blows, mostly in the clinch, but struggled to track Paul or assert control. Both fighters missed frequently, slipped to the canvas multiple times and spent long stretches tied up. A brief stoppage followed when Paul claimed a low blow, with the replay showing

Joshua’s knee made contact during a fall. Despite holding a points lead, Joshua’s inability to dominate or produce meaningful offense left the bout difficult to score and aesthetically ugly, with Paul’s survival through the rounds already feeling like a moral setback for Joshua.

Jake Paul was knocked down twice in a brutal 5th round, but he managed to survive. However, round 6 brought the end for Jake Paul, who was TKO’d.

Drake’s betting history has become something of a running joke in sports circles, with many pointing to his track record of high-profile losses.

The rapper’s hometown team, the Toronto Blue Jays, was a recent victim of the curse. After Drake publicly backed them during the 2025 World Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers came back to win Game 7.

The Toronto Sun bluntly noted, “The dreaded Drake Curse is being partly blamed for the Toronto Blue Jays’ loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7 of the World Series.”

The so-called curse gained traction after Drake backed Conor McGregor in his 2018 UFC bout against Khabib Nurmagomedov.

McGregor was submitted in the fourth round, despite being one of the sport’s top draws at the time.

Since then, Drake’s support has coincided with a string of defeats across sports. From Alabama football to the Golden State Warriors and even Serena Williams, the rapper’s endorsements have often preceded unexpected losses.

The trend has become so consistent that some gamblers now use Drake’s bets as a reverse indicator.

Paul himself has felt the sting before. After losing a split decision to Tommy Fury in February 2023, he learned Drake had put $400,000 on him to win. His reaction was blunt.

“F**k. This is Drake’s fault,” Paul said at the post-fight press conference. “Drake, bro, why did you do this to me? It’s my fault. $400,000 is nothing to him. He has won a lot more money betting on me before. He’s probably about even now.”

Paul later joked that he owed Drake an apology for the loss. But with Saturday’s defeat, the curse appears to have struck again.

The odds were stacked against Paul from the start. Joshua, a former two-time heavyweight champion, entered the ring with 25 knockouts in 32 wins and a towering 6-foot-6 frame.

Paul, at 6-foot-1, was a massive underdog at +800, while Joshua sat comfortably at -1200.

Paul entered Saturday’s fight with a 12-1 record. Both of his losses now share one thing in common: Drake’s money riding on his shoulders.

Young Buck Denies Fat Joe’s Beatdown Story In Scathing Diss Track

Young Buck dropped a scathing diss track aimed at Fat Joe after the Bronx rapper claimed his crew beat up the Tennessee artist years ago during their G-Unit feud.

The beef reignited when Joe told the story on his “Joe and Jada” podcast. “I never told nobody this story before,” Joe said during the podcast episode.

He claimed his crew caught Buck after a Chicago festival performance during the height of the G-Unit versus Terror Squad rivalry.

The two-minute response track samples G Herbo’s “Went Legit” and directly challenges Joe’s recent podcast story. Buck wasted no time calling out both Joe and Jadakiss for their podcast antics.

View this post on Instagram

“These rappers need to stop teaming up on these podcasts and making these lil skits,” Buck rapped on the track. Buck flat-out denied that Joe’s version of events ever happened.

“No hands was put on anybody, even though I attempted/I don’t know if this is you Fat Joe, or the Ozempic,” he fired back, taking a shot at Joe’s recent weight loss

The former Terror Squad leader claimed he threw a water bottle at Buck and dared him to step up before his crew allegedly jumped the Nashville rapper

Buck initially responded with humor, posting an AI-generated news report on Instagram.

“Young Buck finally released from Nashville ER — 20 YEARS after a Fat Joe whooping! Witnesses say \@buckshotz rolled out the hospital confused, iced up, and ready to hit the studio after what doctors are calling “the longest hospital stay in rap history.”

He followed up by mocking Joe’s story, saying he expected to “make a full recovery in 4-6 more decades.”

Buck’s diss track marks his most direct response to Joe’s claims.

Lil Zay Osama Shines Light On New Chicago Rappers With Release “YN Tape”

Lil Zay Osama released his new project, YN TAPE, on December 19, bringing together Chicago’s emerging drill artists for a 15-track collection that showcases the city’s next generation.

The Chicago rapper explained his vision for the project to AllHipHop.

“The YN tape is really a tape of me just going back to my younger self, bringing the drill style back: hard beats, dark sounds, and rapping about street stuff,” he told AllHipHop. “But it’s also to shine the light on the younger artists, the new generation coming up in Chicago for those who don’t know em. I just wanna see Chicago win over all and sticking together, and hopefully this tape can do that!”

The album features collaborations with rising Chicago talents, including Pretty Liyah, Fastmoney Ant and Star Bandz. Lil Zay Osama also brought in artists from other cities, such as OT7 Quanny and YTB Fatt, to round out the project.

When discussing his collaborator selection process, the rapper was direct about his choices.

“I chose these specific people because artists like Pretty Liyah, Fastmoney Ant, Star Bandz — they all from Chicago. They the new up and coming who music I f### with,” he explained.

He noted plans for additional features in a deluxe version, saying he wanted to spotlight young artists with whom he has genuine relationships.

The release comes during a period of increased visibility for Lil Zay Osama, who recently made headlines for showing support to a Chicago mother and child who were attacked by a group of students.

The rapper offered to fly them to Los Angeles for dinner and Christmas shopping.

The YN TAPE tracklist includes standout collaborations like “YN’S” with YTB Fatt, “Turnt” featuring Star Bandz, and “Hood B****es” with Fastmoney Ant.

The project closes with both the original and remix versions of “Dog S**t Records,” with the remix featuring OT7 Quanny.

EXCLUSIVE: Pras Fighting Like Hell To Stay Free While Appealing 14-Year Prison Sentence

Pras Michel is fighting to stay free while appealing his conviction, asking a federal judge to grant bail as he challenges what his lawyers call a deeply tainted trial.

The former Fugees rapper was sentenced on November 20 to 168 months in federal prison after a Washington jury convicted him in a sweeping political influence case.

His legal team filed a motion seeking bail pending appeal, arguing that his conviction is vulnerable on multiple fronts and that he poses no flight risk or danger to the public.

Michel was allowed to remain free following sentencing and is not scheduled to surrender to the Bureau of Prisons until January 27, 2026. His lawyers say forcing him into custody now would be premature given the scope of issues already headed to the appeals court.

Michel’s attorneys argue the trial was riddled with errors that improperly swayed the jury. They contend jurors repeatedly heard that federal judges and FBI agents believed Michel was guilty, a situation they describe as unprecedented and profoundly prejudicial.

“Rather than testify about the subject matter of the FBI’s investigation, Agent Heuchling testified about his conclusions after reviewing all of the evidence,” Pras’s lawyer Peter Zeidenberg said. “Agent Heuchling also expressed his opinions about then strength of the evidence, including based on hearsay, such as when he testified that he traced funds to entities associated with Michel.”

The motion claims that the trial judge allowed jurors to learn that a separate judge had found probable cause that Michel committed crimes, and then reinforced that message through repeated courtroom rulings labeling him a “co-conspirator” before the jury.

The defense argues that no meaningful instruction ever told jurors to disregard those impressions.

Michel’s attorneys also take aim at the testimony of an FBI case agent, arguing he was improperly allowed to act as an overview witness while repeatedly offering opinions that Michel committed crimes. The filing claims the agent described alleged conspiracies and illegal conduct dozens of times, crossing lines the D.C. Circuit has already warned against.

Beyond courtroom conduct, the appeal attacks the evidence itself. The defense argues prosecutors stretched federal statutes beyond their limits, including bank fraud and campaign finance laws.

One key argument says no court has ever upheld convictions for false statements to banks when no funds were at risk and no loans were involved, yet Michel was convicted under that theory.

Other challenges target counts tied to political donations, foreign agent laws and alleged lobbying.

Michel’s lawyers argue that prosecutors failed to prove essential elements, such as intent, direction or control by a foreign government, and actual causation of the false filings. They claim several counts should never have reached a jury.

The motion also levels harsh criticism at Michel’s trial representation. It alleges his former lawyer, David Kenner, of Death Row Records fame, was unprepared for a complex white-collar case, failed to object to damaging testimony and even made statements during closing arguments that effectively conceded core allegations.

The defense argues that ineffective assistance alone warrants a new trial.

“Michel’s trial counsel, David Kenner, was ineffective and incompetent. He failed to object when the Government used Agent Heuchling as an overview witness, or to Heuchling’s repeated testimony that Michel was guilty of the offenses charged, betraying a lack of familiarity with the rules of evidence,” Zeidenberg said.

Under federal law, a defendant must be released pending appeal if he is not a flight risk, poses no danger and raises substantial questions likely to result in reversal or a new trial.

Michel’s lawyers say he meets all requirements, noting that he has remained on release without incident since his 2019 arrest. If bail is denied, the defense is asking the court to at least delay surrender until the appeals court weighs in.

They argue that rushing Michel into prison before that review would serve no purpose and could not be undone.

Michel was convicted in a case tied to Malaysian financier Jho Low and international lobbying efforts that prosecutors said crossed legal lines. His appeal is now pending before the D.C. Circuit, with the bail decision expected before his January surrender date.

Stevie Wonder Scraps Holiday Benefit Shows In L.A. Due To Time Crunch

Stevie Wonder pulled the plug on his planned four-night House Full of Toys concert series in Los Angeles after realizing there simply wasn’t enough time to pull it off.

The Grammy-winning icon had hoped to expand his long-running holiday charity event into a multi-night celebration at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood. The shows were scheduled for December 18 through 21 and were intended to mark the 26th year of his annual fundraiser, which supports children, families in need, and people with disabilities.

But in a message aired on his Los Angeles radio station KJLH, Wonder explained why the ambitious plan had to be shelved.

“A week and a half ago, I came up with the idea of doing four nights at the Fonda Theatre to raise money for House Full of Toys. Big idea. Little time,” he said. “So because of that little time, I’ve decided to cancel all four shows.”

Despite the cancellation, the 75-year-old music legend pledged to continue supporting the cause financially.

“Yet still, I will this year put my money where my heart is by giving a substantial donation for the children for House Full of Toys,” he said. “And next year, we will again do House Full of Toys with the big idea and enough time to put it together.”

The annual benefit, organized through Wonder’s nonprofit, We Are You Foundation, typically asks attendees to bring an “unwrapped toy or unwrapped gift of joy” as part of admission.

Over the years, the event has featured surprise performances from artists like Lionel Richie, Queen Latifah, Anderson .Paak and Jon Batiste.

Ticket holders will receive refund information via email, organizers said. Wonder’s statement aired the week of November 27, less than a month before the concerts were scheduled to begin.

Jam Master Jay Murder: Judge Overturns Karl Jordan Jr.’s Conviction In Run-DMC DJ’s Killing

Nearly two years after a jury delivered its verdict, U.S. District Judge LaShann DeArcy Hall overturned the murder conviction of Karl Jordan Jr., one of two men found guilty in the 2002 killing of Run-DMC’s Jam Master Jay.

In her ruling, Hall concluded prosecutors failed to establish that Jordan had a motive to kill the legendary turntablist, born Jason Mizell. During the trial, an eyewitness testified that he saw Jordan shoot Mizell—his own godfather—inside a Queens recording studio on October 30, 2002.

Prosecutors argued the killing stemmed from a dispute over a failed drug deal, but Jordan’s defense maintained that the evidence did not support that claim.

“We are really happy for Mr. Jordan and his family that justice was served,” attorney John Diaz wrote in an email following the decision.

Jordan, who had not yet been sentenced, remains in custody awaiting a separate trial on drug charges that date back to years after Jam Master Jay’s death.

Judge Hall, however, denied a request from co-defendant Ronald Washington for either an acquittal or a new trial.

Mizell, the influential DJ behind Run-DMC’s rise, helped propel Hip-Hop into the 1980s pop mainstream with tracks like “It’s Tricky” and the group’s genre-blending remake of Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way.” His slaying has long stood as one of Hip-Hop’s most notorious unsolved cases.

Jordan Jr. and Washington were arrested and indicted for Jam Master Jay’s murder in August 2020. According to case histories, both men were taken into federal custody after a grand jury returned an indictment charging them in connection with the 2002 killing.

Donald Trump Signs Executive Order To Reclassify Marijuana As Wiz Khalifa Faces Romanian Prison

Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday directing federal agencies to reclassify marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III, a move that highlights the stark differences in global cannabis laws, just as Wiz Khalifa faces nine months in Romanian prison for smoking weed on stage.

The president’s directive calls on the attorney general to expedite the federal reclassification process that began under the Biden administration. Trump’s order aims to reduce barriers for medical marijuana research while maintaining federal prohibition on recreational use.

“This executive order will increase access to medical marijuana and cannabidiol research,” the White House stated. The reclassification would move cannabis from the most restrictive drug category to Schedule III, alongside medications like ketamine and testosterone.

Trump’s executive order reflects changing American attitudes toward marijuana. Twenty-four states have legalized recreational use, while 38 states allow medical marijuana. The federal reclassification would align with this state-level momentum without full legalization.

Cannabis stocks surged following Trump’s announcement, with companies like Tilray and Canopy Growth seeing significant gains. However, some Republican senators oppose the move.

They warned Donald Trump that reclassification could increase youth access and undermine public health efforts. The senators cited concerns about impaired driving and workplace safety.

The timing creates a striking contrast with Wiz Khalifa’s legal troubles overseas.

A Romanian court sentenced the Pittsburgh rapper to nine months in prison this week for lighting a joint during his July 2024 performance at the Beach Please! Festival. Romanian authorities arrested him immediately after the show for illegal drug possession.

Wiz’s case demonstrates how marijuana laws vary dramatically worldwide. Romania maintains some of Europe’s strictest cannabis policies, treating possession as a serious criminal offense.

The country’s zero-tolerance approach stands in sharp contrast to neighboring Germany, which legalized recreational marijuana in April 2024. Global cannabis laws create a patchwork of regulations that can trap travelers.

Countries like Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines impose death penalties for drug trafficking, including marijuana. Malaysia and Thailand also maintain harsh sentences, with Thailand only recently decriminalizing cannabis for medical use.

Meanwhile, countries such as Canada, Uruguay, and several European countries have legalized cannabis. Germany’s recent move made it the largest European nation to legalize recreational cannabis, allowing adults to possess up to 25 grams and grow three plants at home.

The Netherlands tolerates cannabis through its famous coffee shop system, while Portugal decriminalized all drugs in 2001. Spain permits private consumption and cultivation, creating cannabis social clubs throughout the country.

Trump’s order requires the Department of Justice to complete the pending reclassification process by May 2024.

“The Breakfast Club,” which marked its 15 year anniversary this month, has evolved into one of the most powerful platforms in modern Hip-Hop and R&B radio.

Drywall Repair Cost in DC, Maryland & Virginia

Need drywall fixed? Here’s what it actually costs in the DMV area—no guessing, no national averages that don’t apply here.

2026 Drywall Repair Prices in the DMV

Small hole repair (fist-size or smaller): $150-$250

Medium hole repair (up to 12 inches): $200-$400

Large hole or multiple holes: $300-$600

Ceiling repair: $250-$1,400

Water damage repair: $500-$2,500+

Full wall replacement: $2.50-$4.00 per sq ft installed

Minimum service call: $150-$200 (most contractors)

These prices include labor, materials, and basic texture matching. Get an exact quote for your job—estimates are free.

Why Drywall Repair Costs More in DC, MD & VA

If you’re comparing to national averages, DMV prices run 20-35% higher. Here’s why:

Labor costs. Skilled tradespeople in the DC metro earn more than the national average. That’s reflected in every quote.

Parking and access. DC and inner suburbs mean permit parking, tight spaces, and sometimes hauling materials up multiple flights. All adds time.

Finish expectations. DMV homes have higher property values. Homeowners expect Level 4 or 5 finishes, not visible patches. Quality costs more.

Licensing and insurance. Legit contractors in MD, DC, and VA carry proper licensing and insurance. That overhead gets built into pricing.

Drywall Repair Cost by Job Type

Hole Repairs

Doorknob holes, furniture damage, accidental impacts—these are the most common calls.

Small (under 4 inches): $150-$250. Cut, patch, tape, mud, sand, texture match, prime.

Medium (4-12 inches): $200-$400. Requires a proper patch with backing support.

Large (over 12 inches): $300-$600+. May need to cut back to studs for proper support.

Ceiling Repairs

Ceilings cost more—overhead work is harder, and imperfections show more in flat lighting.

Crack repair: $150-$400 depending on length and cause.

Hole repair: $250-$500.

Water-stained ceiling: $300-$800 (assuming leak is already fixed).

Sagging or damaged section: $500-$1,400.

For ceiling work, get a professional assessment—DIY ceiling repairs rarely look right.

Water Damage Repairs

Water damage is unpredictable until you open the wall. Expect:

Minor water staining (cosmetic): $200-$400.

Saturated drywall needing replacement: $500-$1,500.

Water damage with mold present: $1,000-$3,000+ (includes remediation).

Flood damage (multiple walls): $2,500-$10,000+.

Water damage restoration should be handled quickly—mold starts growing within 48 hours.

Texture Matching

If your walls aren’t smooth, matching the existing texture adds cost:

Orange peel or light knockdown: +$50-$150

Heavy knockdown or skip trowel: +$100-$250

Popcorn ceiling texture: +$150-$300 (or consider removing it entirely)

What Affects Your Final Price

Location in the home. Stairwells, high ceilings, and tight spaces take longer.

Number of repairs. Multiple patches in one visit = lower cost per patch. Don’t call for one hole if you have five.

Finish level needed. Garages and closets can be Level 3. Living rooms need Level 4 or 5.

Painting included? Some quotes include primer only. Full paint match adds $100-$300.

Emergency timing. Same-day or weekend service typically adds 25-50%.

How to Get Accurate Quotes

Phone estimates are guesses. For accurate pricing:

1. Take photos showing the damage with something for scale (phone, hand, tape measure).

2. Note the room location and ceiling height.

3. Mention if there’s water damage or if you need texture matching.

4. Get at least 2-3 quotes, but compare what’s included—not just the bottom line.

Red flag: Any contractor who quotes over the phone without seeing the damage is guessing. Lowball phone quotes often double once they show up.

EXCLUSIVE: Jam Master Jay Conspirator Loses Bid To Get A New Trial

Ronald “Tinard” Washington lost his latest bid to undo his conviction in the 2002 killing of Run-DMC icon Jam Master Jay after a federal judge ruled the jury verdict was firmly supported by the evidence and the law.

A judge in Brooklyn denied Washington’s motions for acquittal and a new trial, rejecting claims that prosecutors failed to prove an ongoing drug conspiracy or a drug-related motive for the murder of Jam Master Jay inside his Hollis, Queens, recording studio.

The ruling keeps intact Washington’s February 2024 convictions for murder while engaged in narcotics trafficking and a firearm-related killing.

The court found ample proof that Jam Master Jay, whose music career had slowed in the late 1990s, was operating as a cocaine middleman at the time of his death.

In 2003, AllHipHop’s Grouchy Greg Watkins uncovered the conspiracy and over 20 years later, trial testimony showed Jam Master Jay obtained cocaine on consignment from a supplier known as “Uncle,” then distributed it through associates.

Federal filings and trial evidence linked Jam Master Jay’s cocaine supply to the Black Mafia Family, with BMF co-founder Terry “Southwest T” Flenory identified as the source behind “Uncle,” the supplier referenced at trial.

Investigators said JMJ was moving cocaine tied to the BMF pipeline, placing him squarely inside a high-stakes distribution network that extended beyond New York. Prosecutors argued JMJ’s killing stemmed from a drug dispute after Jam Master Jay failed to secure a lucrative Baltimore distribution arrangement that Washington expected to join.

Police Seek To Question Man In Regards To JMJ Murder

The judge agreed a reasonable jury could infer retaliation as at least one motive tied directly to the drug operation, which is all the law requires. That context undercut Washington’s argument that the conspiracy fizzled before the murder.

The judge pointed to evidence that Jam Master Jay was still arranging meetings with his supplier’s associates days before he was killed and had not paid for the cocaine he already received, reinforcing the finding that the drug operation remained active.

The ruling also revisited the violent scene inside the studio on October 30, 2002. Witnesses testified that Jay Bryant, a man, permitted Washington and Jordan to enter his studio through a fire escape door.

Jordan then approached Jam Master Jay as if for an embrace, then fired the fatal shots, while Washington blocked exits at gunpoint.

The order leaves Washington facing mandatory life sentences tied to the narcotics-murder convictions, closing another chapter in a case that took more than two decades to reach trial.

Tyler, The Creator Surprises Hawthorne High Seniors With iPads After Apple Music Honor

Tyler, The Creator handed out iPads and inspiration at Hawthorne High School in California, surprising 371 seniors with tech gifts instead of attending the usual celebrity-packed celebration for being named Apple Music’s 2025 Artist of the Year.

The Grammy-winning rapper skipped the red carpet and champagne to return to the same hallways where he once skated as a teenager with big dreams. On December 12, what students thought was a regular school rally quickly turned into a once-in-a-lifetime moment when Tyler walked on stage.

“They wanted to throw some crazy party, dinners and all that,” he told the crowd, according to the LA Sentinel_._ “I was like, no, no, no. Forget the dinner. I could eat at home. What I wanted to do was come back here.”

Instead of flashing lights and industry speeches, Tyler delivered Apple iPads and Apple Pencils to the entire senior class, along with a dose of real talk about his roots and the road to success.

Tyler reflected on growing up in Hawthorne, a city wedged between Inglewood and Manhattan Beach, but often overlooked in the conversation.

“Being from this city, man, it’s kind of a weird place,” he said. “It’s not Inglewood, it’s not Manhattan Beach. It’s just its own little world. And I always told myself, one day I’m really gonna make it out of this place and make something of myself, because that was not the norm for Hawthorne High. That just was not heard of.”

Tyler’s visit came weeks after Apple Music announced he racked up more than 4.5 billion minutes of streaming between November 2024 and October 2025.

His album Chromakopia broke his personal records for first-day and first-week streams on the platform. He also dropped Don’t Tap the Glass mid-tour, a surprise, stripped-down rap project that reached No. 1 in over 55 countries.

During the school event, students rotated through hands-on stations featuring Apple’s creative tools, such as GarageBand, Image Playground, and Apple Intelligence. The event was powered by Free Lunch, a creative agency led by Tyler’s longtime collaborator Tim Hinshaw. Crenshaw Juice kept the crowd refreshed.

Tyler is set to receive Apple Music’s physical award, a custom Apple silicon wafer encased in glass and aluminum, later this year.

The Most Durable Gold Chain Types for Everyday Wear

Jewelry has shifted from something people save for special events to something they use daily. Chains, in particular, help complete casual, work, and weekend outfits with little effort. If you plan to wear one every day, the style you pick matters just as much as the design. A durable gold chain stays strong, holds its shape, and keeps its shine, whether it is yellow gold, white gold, or rose gold.

Many buyers explore gold chains for men when searching for reliable everyday options. The right chain style can handle constant movement and still feel comfortable. This guide breaks down the best gold chain designs that offer durability, strength, and long-term value.

Curb Chains

Curb chains rank high for people who want a bold gold look that also lasts. Each link lies flat, which helps the chain rest smoothly against the skin. This shape prevents twisting and reduces pressure on weak points. Many wearers say curb chains feel dependable, even after long hours of daily use. A heavier curb chain usually holds up better than lighter versions. Its wide gold links resist dents and maintain their structure well.

Key reasons people choose curb chains

  • Links stay strong under regular tension.
  • Flat design keeps the chain comfortable.
  • Easy cleaning with simple tools

Figaro Chains

Figaro chains bring visual interest to an outfit through their alternating gold-link pattern. A typical layout uses two or three small links followed by one long link. This pattern adds character without affecting durability. Many see it as a good everyday option because it keeps its shape during movement.

The chain’s layout allows weight to distribute evenly across the gold links. This prevents certain areas from wearing down faster than others. Figaro chains offer an appealing choice for anyone who wants strength with a subtle design shift. Pairing them with gold chains for men creates a clean, polished look.

Rope Chains

Rope chains give a textured, braided look that stands out in any gold finish. Their twisted links lock together tightly, which creates strong support across the entire chain. This design reduces breakage because no single link carries the full pressure. Rope chains also reflect light well, giving yellow gold, white gold, or rose gold a bright, eye-catching shine.

Why do many consider rope chains dependable

  • Balanced weight across the chain
  • Good resistance to tangles
  • Strong link structure

Box Chains

Box chains use square-shaped gold links that form a clean, geometric pattern. The shape keeps the chain firm, which reduces stretching or bending over time. Many people pick box chains because they work well with almost any style and pair easily with gold pendants.

This chain holds small pendants well, especially lightweight gold ones. The structure helps the chain stay flat and maintain its shape through regular wear. Box chains succeed when you need a subtle, strong, and reliable everyday gold option.

Mariner Chains

Mariner chains, also called anchor chains, feature oval gold links with a bar across the center. This added support prevents bending and protects the chain’s structure. Mariner chains have a sturdy appearance that suits heavier gold pendants or solo wear.

People appreciate the balanced feel of this chain. The design spreads tension evenly, so it does not weaken quickly. Mariner chains work well for everyday use, especially for those who prefer a gold chain with a confident presence.

A durable gold chain becomes a dependable part of your everyday look instead of something you worry about. Strong designs such as curb, Figaro, rope, box, and mariner chains tend to outlast more delicate patterns. Each one brings its own mix of gold design and strength, so the best option depends on the look you want and how active your days are. The right gold piece stays comfortable, resists wear, and pairs effortlessly with everything you wear, making it a long-term staple.

Jelly Roll Pardoned After More Than 40 Arrests In His Youth

Jelly Roll received a full pardon Thursday from Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, clearing the chart-topping artist’s decades-old robbery and drug convictions after a year-long review.

The decision, which follows a unanimous recommendation from the state parole board in April, wipes the slate clean for the “Son of a Sinner” singer, whose legal record had previously limited his ability to travel internationally for concerts.

Now 41, Jelly Roll can tour abroad without seeking special travel permits.

“His story is remarkable, and it’s a redemptive, powerful story, which is what you look for and what you hope for,” Gov. Lee told reporters during a meeting at his home, according to The Associated Press.

While Jelly Roll has not yet released a statement about the pardon, he spoke to the Tennessee Board of Parole earlier this year about the potential impact of the decision.

“I want to be an inspiration for people who are now where I used to be – to let them know that change is truly possible,” he said. “One of the reasons I’m asking for your recommendation for this pardon is because I’m looking to take my message of redemption through the power of music and faith through the rest of the world… I’ll still be using this same pardon, God willing, to go do missionary work in my 50s and 60s.”

The Nashville native has been open about his troubled youth, revealing he was first arrested at 14 and jailed over 40 times before turning his life around through music. His rise from incarceration to country and Hip-Hop stardom has made him a vocal advocate for second chances and criminal justice reform.

The pardon applies to convictions in Davidson County prior to 2010 and grants him formal clemency from the state of Tennessee.

Anti-Gay MAGA Republican Says He Can Out-Twerk Nicki Minaj In Latest MAGA Weirdness

Tim Burchett boasted about his twerking skills in a bizarre social media exchange with Nicki Minaj that highlights how MAGA politics keep getting stranger.

The 61-year-old Tennessee Republican congressman discovered on Thursday that the rapper follows his X account. He tried engaging with her about his annual 15-minute Christmas party.

“Ma’am, if you had followed me on X earlier, we could have sung a duet at our 15 minute Christmas Party,” Burchett posted. “My mic would have been turned off. We’ll get it next year.”

That’s when things got weird. The Gays For Trump account replied with a GIF of Minaj twerking from her 2014 “Anaconda” video.

“Can you twerk Congresswoman?,” they asked Burchett, who has long opposed LGBTQ rights.

Burchett didn’t back down. “I can. I am gifted. But I’m Baptist so I don’t brag about it.” When another follower bet he could “out twerk Nicki Minaj,” Burchett doubled down. “I can. It’s uncanny actually.”

The congressman also posted an Instagram drawing of Minaj dabbing next to Paddington Bear. He captioned it “NICKI IS BASED.”

Burchett’s twerk boasts come as Minaj completes her transformation into a MAGA ally. Last week, Minaj praised Vice President JD Vance as an “assassin” who’s “quick as a computer.” She said he’s “the best blend I’ve ever seen of us&them.” Minaj also attacked California Governor Gavin Newsom over transgender children’s policies.

“Imagine being the guy running on wanting to see trans kids,” she posted. “Haha. Not even a trans ADULT would run on that.”

The rapper called Trump and Vance “Heroes” and “The Good Guys” in recent posts. She even spoke at the United Nations about Nigerian Christians, later calling it a “MAGA Flex.”

This marks another surreal moment in MAGA politics. A congressman known for opposing gay rights is now bragging about twerking skills to court a rapper who’s embraced conservative talking points.
