Fat Joe Responds To Irv Gotti: “Sometimes Brothers Check Each Other”

The fallout from Irv Gotti’s viral Drink Champs interview continues, with Fat Joe chiming in to speak on his relationship with the music executive.

The Murder inc. founder had the internet in a frenzy following his comments about his alleged relationship with Ashanti. During the Drink Champs episode, Irv Gotti shared intimate details about their rumored dalliance and suggested the singer was a dime-a-dozen.

The backlash was swift, and Irv Gotti was dragged on the internet for discussing the alleged affair. Fat Joe called him out for his remarks and went as far as calling him a “sucker” for airing out 20-year-old gossip. He also went in on Ja Rule, who joined Gotti on the podcast.

Irv Gotti then responded and was clearly upset, claiming he felt “fooled” by Fat Joe. “He’s not my friend,” he added. “In life you get fooled. Forget Joe, because they don’t want me to talk about Joe.”

However, Fat Joe addressed Irv Gotti’s comments and said the two share a bond more than friends; they are family.

“Irv Gotti said I’m no longer his friend and he’s correct, because I’m his brother,” Fat Joe said during an Instagram Live. “I love him. I love his entire family,” he said adding he loves Irv’s mother, sons and sisters. He continued, “I love them all. And so, sometimes brothers check each other. that’s the furthest I’m gonna go.” Check out the clip below.

Meanwhile, Ashanti has remained silent and has said nothing about the rumors. Nonetheless, it’s clear whatever relationship she had with Irv Gotti has soured. When asked earlier this year if she would be appearing in the Murder Inc. docuseries, the songstress found the suggestion laughable. “No,” she replied before bursting into laughter.

From Da Projects to Private Jets, Cadillac Shorty Shows Why He’s a Champion

It’s not easy to remain relevant in today’s competitive music industry. With thousands of aspiring artists fighting for the top spot, one-hit wonders are not uncommon. That’s why it is essential to pay attention when you see an artist like Cadillac Shorty consistently dropping high-quality albums and songs that connect with listeners.

The artist’s raspy vocals and catchy hooks are one reason he’s scaled new heights in his field, but he says that’s not all there is to his impressive career. Cadillac Shorty is a prime example of how anything can happen with the right attitude and consistency, from his humble beginnings to private jets and success.

Cadillac Shorty‘s ascent to stardom began with his first music video. The song received 5 million views on streaming platforms and retained the top spot on World Star Hip Hop for over a week. Cadillac also beat others in that category and won the Best in Florida awards for the same video of the year. Following that success, Cadillac started doing more significant events and festivals. He performed at the 2nd annual Forgiato Festival alongside fellow Miami rappers Currency, Stally, Ball Greezy, Brisco, Briana Perry, and others.

His talent and ambition saw him quickly climb the local rapping ranks and firmly cement his place in the industry. In 2019, Cadillac performed his single, “No Visits,” at Papa Keith’s star-studded People Matters Festival. Cadillac shared the platform with other big names in Miami’s rap scene, creating networks he has greatly benefitted from in his career. The rapper has also been featured on two of Miami’s most prominent radio stations, 99 Jamz and 103.5 The Beat.

Cadillac Shorty understands the importance of unique personal branding as an artist in a highly competitive space. Though the “Habitual Hustler 2” hitmaker always aims for the top spot in the rap scene, he does not conform to the typical rap star lifestyle. “What stands out like a sore thumb for me is not the typical ‘I’m living what I’m rapping’ bs,” Cadillac shares. “But I really do live how I rap and make a living off my rap. Ya know, life and death are in the power of the tongue, and I manifested my lifestyle through my lyrics.”

From his music to his personal life, Cadillac has never let his environment stop him from dreaming big. On the creative side, he has made his mark by releasing raw and unapologetic lyrics that are relatable and inspirational. His music inspires listeners to keep grinding until they achieve their dreams, even when it seems like they are facing insurmountable odds. Cadillac admits he often feels like he hasn’t done enough, which is why he’s always hustling.

“From da projects to private jets, hate it or luv it, da underdog’s on top,” Cadillac captions one of his photos on Instagram. Overcoming the odds and living the life of his dreams is just one achievement Cadillac has made so far. The hitmaker continues to create music and live out his dreams as if there were no limits on what can be accomplished, and that’s precisely what he believes. With a resolute and determined mindset, Cadillac plans to continue living his life with ferocious intentionality and inspire other hustlers to go for it.

Dr. Dre Reveals How Jay-Z & Nas Helped Save Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show

Dr. Dre revealed that he almost backed out of the historic Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, and it took a couple of fellow legends to convince him to perform.

The super producer orchestrated a historic Hip-Hop show featuring Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, and Anderson .Paak at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium. The event was one of the most talked about events of the year and one of the most celebrated Super Bowl performances. The performance was even nominated five times at the 2022 Primetime Emmy Awards.

However, The Compton native was apprehensive and was about to nix his performance until he spoke to a couple of friends. Dre called Jay-Z and Nas, and they literally saved the show.

“I was absolutely concerned about that,” he admitted During a recent appearance on fitness entrepreneur Dolvett Quince’s Workout the Doubt podcast. “I actually called a couple of close friends and said, ‘Listen, I’m gonna pull out.’”

Dr. Dre had concerns he might be seen as a sellout. ‘I’m not going to do the show. Because I don’t know if I want that smoke,” he added. “I don’t know if I want the backlash after doing the show and potentially looking like a f###### sellout or something like that.’”

Jay-Z & Nas Reassured Dr. Dre

However, Jay-Z and Nas convinced him he was doing the right thing. “I got on the phone with Nas. He called me up and said, ‘Yo bro’ — you know, Nas has that voice — ‘Yo bro, you gotta do it. You have to do this. It’s going to be so powerful for f###### Hip-Hop, for the culture, for you, for L.A. and the whole nine.’”

He continued, “We were on the phone for like 10 minutes, and he talked me into doing it. Nas and JAY-Z were big reasons why I decided to do the show.” Watch the clip below.

Rick Ross Responds To Labor Violations At His Wingstop Locations

Rick Ross reacted to the U.S. Department of Labor fining his company for labor violations at several Wingstop locations in Mississippi.

“When you’re running a business, there will be mistakes,” Rick Ross said on Instagram Stories. “But as the biggest boss, you never make the same mistake twice. You see, accountability—taking accountability is big when you the biggest. And remember this: most successful people don’t take stumbling as a setback but actually a stepping stone to greater things, ya heard me? Let’s be great.”

The Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division discovered multiple violations at Wingstops operated by Boss Wings Enterprises LLC, which is owned by Rick Ross and his family. The company wrongfully deducted the wages of 244 employees.

Boss Wings forced Wingstop workers to pay for their own uniforms, safety training, background checks and cash register shortages. Boss Wings also failed to maintain a record of employee hours worked and wage deductions.

“The law prevents Boss Wings Enterprises LLC from shifting operating costs to workers by deducting the costs of uniforms, cash register shortages or training expenses, or to allow a worker’s pay to fall below the minimum wage rate,” Wage and Hour Division District Director Audrey Hall said.

Rick Ross’ family business must pay $114,427 in back wages, liquidated damages and civil penalties.

Kid Cudi Reveals He Suffered A Stroke While In Rehab

Kid Cudi disclosed a past health scare in an interview with Esquire.

The Republic Records artist said he suffered a stroke two weeks after entering rehab in 2016. He had to be hospitalized.

Kid Cudi checked himself into rehab for depression and suicidal urges. He dealt with slow movement and speech following his stroke.

“Everything was f#####,” he told Esquire.

Kid Cudi spent months physically rehabbing. He said he felt like himself again during an audition for a play in 2017.

The Esquire story also featured Kid Cudi’s mother Elsie Mescudi. She spoke about him going to rehab and how much it helped him.

“It was the best thing that could have happened to Scott,” she said. “It was. There is no saying, ‘My child won’t do this. My child won’t do that.’ If you’re a parent, you can’t say that. You don’t know what they’re going to do from moment to moment, and certainly, when you get to the point where your career blew up overnight, it’s a very difficult thing.”

Kid Cudi concurred, noting how good he feels in terms of his mental health.

“I actually can say, at 38, that I love myself,” he said. “And I couldn’t have said that six years ago. I can say that with confidence now and truly believe it, and it shows.”

Jurors To See Videos Of R. Kelly Having Intercourse With A Kid

Jurors in R. Kelly’s Chicago trial will view videos of him allegedly having sex with a then-14-year-old girl.

R. Kelly is on trial for child pornography and obstruction of justice charges. Opening statements began on Wednesday (August 17).

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Julien said R. Kelly recorded multiple tapes of sexual acts involving children. Prosecutors plan to show jurors three videos featuring their star witness, who is identified as “Jane.”

“The videos are difficult to watch,” Julien told jurors. “But it’s important for you all to watch those videos to understand what happened.”

R. Kelly was acquitted of child pornography charges in 2008, but prosecutors accuse him of rigging the trial. “Jane,” who’s now in her 30s, didn’t testify in the 2008 trial but is expected to take the stand over a decade later.

“Jane is going to testify it’s her on the videos, that it’s Kelly having sex with her,” Julien said. “Kelly had sex with Jane hundreds of time, at Kelly’s home, in his recording studio, on his tour bus and in hotels. Kelly told her they would get in a lot of trouble if anyone found out he was having sex with Jane.”

Two of R. Kelly’s former employees, Derrel McDavid and Milton “June” Brown, are also on trial. Prosecutors say McDavid helped R. Kelly fix the 2008 trial. Brown is accused of receiving child pornography.

Buzzing Rapper Azchike Says 2 Live Crew Isn’t Credited Enough In The Rap Game

You can’t have a conversation about buzzing Los Angeles artists without mentioning Azchike

A true originator and innovator of his own sound, the West Coast rapper boasts a cult-like following, unleashing banger after banger after banger as he continues to navigate and find his way to the forefront of the rap game.

Hailing from South Central Los Angeles, Azchike is the definition of unapologetic, and holds anything back when it comes to speaking his truth.

As seen and heard in his visuals and music, Chike lives his life to the fullest, always guaranteeing a good time whenever he graces you with his presence. Putting on for his AzCult any chance he can, it was in 2017 when his “Burn Rubber Again” record went completely viral, clocking in at over 16 million views on Youtube (just audio).

Fast forward to today, Azchike is back and better than ever before after proudly taking a month break off drinking alcohol. And for his birthday on July 28th, he shut down a headlining show at the legendary Roxy on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles.

On the 39th episode of Shirley’s Temple, filmed at the ENCORE studios, Azchike discusses his healthy lifestyle, his love for tequila, his forthcoming project, falling in love with 2 Live Crew, attending the Grammys, making reggae songs, new video with Mike Sherm, performing “Surf” at HARD Summer, mental health check-in, discovering his voice, and more!

AllHipHop: You aren’t drinking this month, how’s that’s going?

Azchike: Wonderful. I’m eating right, I only eat baked salmon everyday. I bake my own salmon with the broccoli, asparagus, red potatoes. I get down when I gotta get down. Got me a lil NutriBullet, shout out Stella. Got the good cilantro with the super greens with the antioxidants, lil frozen fruit packs. It goes down. Just doing some healthy s###, I’ll be back and spring into action in about a week. Back on my b#######. It don’t feel right to be honest.

AllHipHop: You should keep it going!

Azchike: Nah, it don’t feel right. I don’t feel like I’m doing enough. For me to even eat this healthy and keep it up, I have to stay in the house. If I’m tempted a lil bit, y’all talking about “we got some drinks!” — that second night you offer me drinks, I’m gettin tore up. So I stay out the way, but I literally got 2 patrons sitting in my kitchen just waiting. Don’t worry about nothing.

AllHipHop: Do you get hangovers when you drink?

Azchike: Nah, not really. If I do get a hangover, it’s because I went all out. Like I threw up that morning, I was going crazy. But if I don’t throw up, then I’m not getting no hangover. And I got my own concoctions that I do: I take vitamin C and BC Powder before I drink. I do it so I can drink more, it makes me drink more. When I take the vitamin C and BC powder, I promise you I’ll drink till 8 that morning. I have no problem.

AllHipHop: What is your alcohol of choice?

Azchike: Tequila, let’s talk about it. I got some preferences for tequila, but if it ain’t what I like in the building and it’s just tequila, I’m drinking it guaranteed. Brown gives me hangovers fast, unless I have me a fat meal. I got enough in the stomach, because I like to drink. I feel like tequila is made for alcoholics personally.

AllHipHop: My s### was Captain Morgan in college.

Azchike: See that brown s### is abusive husband drink right there. You drink that s###, go home, two piece your wife, and go to sleep. Nah, we ain’t drinkin that.

AllHipHop: What is Chike up to? I know you just dropped that project.

Azchike: I did, I’m finna drop another one. Hoes Over Bros, B###### Over Homies. Ya hear me? I would lose every friend and not give a f###, but I need my b######. That’s a fact. I’d prefer to have b######. I don’t gotta be f###### them, they can just be my b######.

AllHipHop: Y’all be f######…?

Azchike: I mean, you know what it is? N*ggas be f###### with the wrong b######. If I’m a w####, then I needa get a w####. Or someone in that realm, she gotta be some type of w####. N*ggas like to be w#####, but can’t deal with w#####. If she go f### somebody else, I know what to do. I’m not worried about none of that. Mind ya business, everybody mind their business and everybody will be straight.

AllHipHop: I interviewed Guapdad 4000 and he said he was in an open relationship with his girl for like 10 years.

Azchike: See, and they 10 years strong. Aye, the kings in Africa have 10 wives. Sign me up man. Give me the 10 wives. Overall, females or women are better than n*ggas. You ain’t ever heard a girl say that? “I link better, I got better relationships with dudes than girls.”

AllHipHop: Yeah! I say that.

Azchike: Exactly! I feel the same way. The realest n*gga I know is a woman, put it like that. Why not? I should make a project dedicated [to them]. Of course I’m a get disrespectful, but we gon’ have some respect. Lil affectionate, and I’m a reshoot an Uncle Luke cover.

AllHipHop: I know you fell in love with 2 Live Crew early.

Azchike: Yeah absolutely, random as f###. I was searching Apple Music for the songs I heard at the party, and I was early on Apple Music. When you couldn’t upload your card to Apple, you had to go to 7-Eleven, buy a card, scratch the back off. Upload your lil Apple money, then buy you an album. I been f###### with Apple, so that’s when I started f###### with 2 Live Crew.

Who got these b###### going crazy in the party? That’s how I looked up on ’em. Once I heard the song, I’d go play the song on YouTube. You know the references, one thing lead to another. Now l know everything about they ass. They had to go to court, they got sued for how they was rapping, all types of s###. They really a big reason why we got freedom of speech in rap.

AllHipHop: Someone paid for Uncle Luke vocals and said that was the best session he’s ever had.

Azchike: That’s fire. He did legendary s###. I don’t think he’s credited enough, but I’m a come around and do something for ’em.

AllHipHop: Thoughts on the new Kendrick album?

Azchike: That s### nice. I knew it was going to be crazy. I f### with that s###. I like that he put BLXST on there, that was super hard. The BLXST and the Kodak song, he went yay yay on that.

AllHipHop: Was there a moment in the Grammy’s where you were like “Wow, this is beautiful?”

Azchike: I think I had got left out. I was at the bar between commercial breaks and if they go live while you still at the bar, you have to wait like 10-15 minutes till the next commercial break. So I got stuck out there drinking but I ain’t give a f###. I was drinking, they opened the curtain to come back in before they go live again. Everyone was switching out, but I’m so drunk I’m on the other side. I’m on the other side and that s### was looking so crazy. I called the person I came with and said “raise your hand!” I had to walk through everything and that s### was crazy. The J Balvin performance was crazy as f###. He had the blue mans group.

AllHipHop: Somebody asked if you’re going to make a reggae song?

Azchike: On me I am. I f### with it. I really like that culture. I’m gon’ do something. I’m a fan of that whole thing, Jamaicans and everything. I don’t have nobody particular, I just like everything they do. The slang, how they talk, the food! Come on, let’s not talk about the food. If it was up to me, I’d be eating jerk salmon everyday. With the cabbage and plantains, on God.

AllHipHop: What’re you most excited for?

Azchike: Right now, the new project and the summer. I’m excited man. I dropped a video with Mike Sherm, that’s crazy. I’ve been watching that s### everyday on my phone. That s### gon’ be crazy.

AllHipHop: Y’all made a banger before right?

Azchike: Yeah, we got some s###. We lowkey an undefeated duo nobody know about. I perform at the Roxy in Hollywood on July 28th. On my birthday I got booked for a show, so that s### gon’ be fire. This is my first headline show in LA ever. I only ever did joint headlines or I came out with somebody else. Or it was me and 1TakeJay headlining, but never a Chike show and I can bring out whoever I wanna bring out. It’s gon’ be crazy. I’m a call Haiti Babii up, Bravo The Bagchaser, MoneySign Suede. Gotta call Christian, King Combs.

AllHipHop: “Surf”! That’s my s###.

Azchike: Yeah, that’s gonna go crazy. We haven’t performed that in a minute. We performed last year at the HARD Summer Fest, that was cool. Nah, we gonna go up this summer.

AllHipHop: Y’all played at the HARD Summer Fest in front of thousands of people?

Azchike: Yeah, that s### was lit. It was lowkey the evening so it was stupid hot, dummy hot in San Bernardino.

AllHipHop: Did you use to go to those raves?

Azchike: Hell nah, I used to have raves in my room. Pop an ecstasy and calling me the nearest b####. That was my rave right there.

AllHipHop: A huge part of the show is mental health, how are you doing? How’s your mental state?

Azchike: I’m straight. I’m tryna get used to not doing s###. I only got a week left, but I been eating right. Not eating nothing processed, drinking clean water. Staying in the house. I ain’t been doing s###. I ain’t even got a haircut. It’s purposely though. I’ve been saving money, I ain’t going nowhere. It gave me a good start on planning out the next few months, so that’s why I’m truly excited because I know what the f### to do. Got it all planned out.

AllHipHop: I admire your discipline.

Azchike: That s### ain’t easy, but you gotta make it make sense for yourself. I’ll put it like this: I’ve been drinking how I’ve been drinking (since) the end of 2018. The longest I went without liquor for the last 4 years is probably 3 weeks. 3 weeks out of 4 years, I can recall not drinking liquor straight. That’s crazy! That’s madness. You gotta give your body a break. I’m wondering why I’m not getting drunk like I used to. Once you give your body a break, do some time — some healing n*gga, come back crazy. I’m a be smacked all summer, just off this month.

AllHipHop: Do you feel you’re making better music? Or more clear-headed when you’re making music?

Azchike: High key, yeah. And because I just put that project out. Any artist who hoards music, you won’t get better until you let it go. Just the universe and the energy work like that. You could be a hard ass n*gga and not drop any music and you won’t grow. You won’t know what your people like, what they gravitating to because all your s### from two years ago stupid. You not even that same person no more. Everybody changes every 6 months. Something’s going to be different about that person, every 6 months to a year. Roughly.

AllHipHop: In the music industry, you gotta stand out nowadays and your voice is very distinct. How old were you when you discovered your voice?

Azchike: I didn’t even like my s### at first. It’s still some times where I get on my Story and hear my voice like “delete, delete.” I have to really take my time with that s###. That’s the real hard part about rapping n*ggas don’t talk about. Certain n*ggas will start rapping and got a voice for it. I had to train myself to at least know what tone, because I knew what I wanted to do and how I wanted to sound. And it wasn’t sounding how I’m sounding, so I’d say about 2016/2017. 2016 was when I was in the studio all the time, but 2017 I found me something I like enough to keep this s### rocking. Now, it’s just developing on its own.

Talented Composer An2an Reveals His Secrets to Creating Perfection

Music is not just a profession. It’s an art. The question then becomes, what makes an artist successful? There is no secret one-size-fits-all recipe to becoming a star, but there are ways to increase your chances of success. An2an is perfect proof of that. A man of many talents, An2an is currently one of the most respected up-and-coming musicians in California. As a musician and contemporary composer, he brings to the table unique styles that make him stand out from other artists in this space. His music style is best described as an exciting mix of multiple genres, including rap, hip hop, and electronic dance music.

For over five years, An2an has made a name for himself for his ability to attract and engage audiences from multiple genres. That skill has earned him recognition and respect in the California music space and allowed him to share the stage with some of the biggest names in the game. His music has also attracted hundreds of thousands of views on social and music streaming platforms, making An2an a rapidly rising star. So how did he do it?

Talent is the first thing An2an possesses. Creating music has always been something he enjoys doing. Still, he acknowledges that it is not enough to make you successful in the ever-changing music industry. In this highly competitive space where talented people are a dime a dozen, An2an says you need something more than an innate ability to do something if you want your voice to be heard above the noise.

“Talent is a secondary thing; every second person is talented in something,” An2an shares. “But not everyone can develop talent;  work on it.” For him, the goal has always been to challenge and improve himself daily. That belief pushes him to perfect his skills in one genre and then move on to another. This way, he has the edge over musicians who can only write or perform songs in one style and genre. But that didn’t happen overnight.

Persistence is the other quality An2an has cultivated. Every day, thousands of talented people wake up determined to succeed in the music industry. They create songs, release them to the world, and then watch with bated breath for them to become international hits that will catapult them to stardom. Unfortunately, that rarely happens. An2an points out that only a tiny group will succeed on their first attempt. The rest must continually try until they get it right, which is why they need to cultivate patience and persistence. An2an’s secret is that he keeps experimenting with new sounds and evolving his style until he gets it right.

Discipline is the third factor in An2an’s success. In music and other industries, talent and creativity can only take you so far if you don’t have the discipline to stay on course and become better than you were when you started. An2an believes that hard work and willpower trump talent any day, and everyone should strive to develop more of it.

Discipline enables him to create more music even when he’s not motivated to do it, learn new skills when he’s shining in one genre, and consistently work until he gets the sounds he’s going for. Because of his willingness to embrace challenges, An2an is now on his way to the top. His dream is to inspire more musicians and composers to do the same.

Kid Cudi Over Kanye West Friendship – “Not My Problem You Lost Your Woman”

Kid Cudi believes it would take “a miracle” to patch up his former friendship with Kanye West.

The two rappers used to be close friends and frequent collaborators. However, they engaged in a public feud earlier this year when Kanye cut Cudi from his Donda 2 album over his friendship with Pete Davidson, who was dating his ex-wife Kim Kardashian at the time.

The “Day ‘n’ Nite” star subsequently declared on Twitter in April that they were no longer friends and would never make music together again.

Opening up about the state of their friendship in a cover interview for Esquire magazine, Kid Cudi insisted it would take a lot for him to go back on his word.

“With all due respect, I’m not (Kanye’s former rival) Drake, who’s about to take a picture with him next week and be friends again, and their beef is squashed. That’s not me. What I say, I mean. I will be done with you. It’s gonna take a m############ miracle for me and that man to be friends again. I don’t see it happening. He gon’ have to become a monk,” he said.

The 38-year-old claimed that the rapper is constantly forgiven by his close friends for doing “f##### up s###” – but he won’t get forgiveness from Cudi, as he now has “zero tolerance for the wrong energies” and has decided he’s better off without Kanye.

“The twisted thing is that I love him, but I love you so much that I can kick you the f### out of my life and be done with your ass. ‘Cause you are not good for me,” he stated, addressing his former friend directly.

He also noted that his public feud with Kanye has less to do with him and more to do with the “Stronger” hitmaker’s split from Kim.

“It don’t matter if I’m friends with Pete or not friends with Pete,” he explained. “None of this s### had anything to do with me. If you can’t be a grown man and deal with the fact that you lost your woman? That’s not my f###### problem. You need to own up to your s### like every man in this life has. I’ve lost women, too. And I’ve had to own up to it. I don’t need that in my life. I don’t need it.”

Florence Pugh Addresses Buzz Surrounding Harry Styles Sex Scenes

Florence Pugh has insisted she won’t be discussing her sex scenes with Harry Styles while on the press circuit for “Don’t Worry Darling.”

After the trailer for the upcoming psychological thriller was released in May, fans quickly commented on the intimate scenes between Florence’s housewife character Alice and her workaholic husband Jack, as played by Harry.

But in an interview for the September 2022 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the British actress noted that she would avoid discussing the sex scenes in the future as she wants to focus on the broader themes of the film.

“It’s not why I’m in this industry. Obviously, the nature of hiring the most famous pop star in the world, you’re going to have conversations like that,” she said. “That’s just not what I’m going to be discussing because (this movie is) bigger and better than that. And the people who made it are bigger and better than that.”

Initially, Florence had been set to play Bunny, Alice’s best friend in “Don’t Worry Darling.”

However, Olivia Wilde – who also directed the film – ended up taking on the supporting role, with the 26-year-old agreeing to take on the lead.
“It was a different beast,” she added of the intense part. “I love playing a distressed woman.”

“Don’t Worry Darling” will premiere at the Venice International Film Festival and open in U.S. cinemas on September 23rd.

A$AP Rocky Appears In Court For Arraignment, Pleads Not Guilty To Shooting At A$AP Relli

A$AP Rocky appeared in court today (August 17th), where he pleaded not guilty to felony assault with a firearm.

The rapper, real name Rakim Mayers, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon at Los Angeles International Airport in April in connection with a shooting in Hollywood on November 6th, 2021.

On Monday, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office charged the 33-year-old with two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm.

“Discharging a gun in a public place is a serious offense that could have ended with tragic consequences not only for the person targeted but also for innocent bystanders visiting Hollywood,” District Attorney George Gascón said in a statement. “My office conducted a thorough review of the evidence in this case and determined that the addition of a special firearm allegation was warranted.”

According to The Associated Press, prosecutors claim that A$AP Rocky pointed the handgun at his former friend during a heated argument in Hollywood.

In a subsequent confrontation, the rapper allegedly drew the weapon again and fired twice in the man’s direction before he and two associates fled the scene.

The victim, whose name was not released, sustained a minor injury.

The news comes just days after Rocky’s former high school best friend Terell Ephron, also known as A$AP Relli, a former member of the A$AP Mob hip-hop collective, came forward as the victim.

He said he intends to file a civil lawsuit over the incident.

Robert De Niro To Star Opposite Himself In New Mob Movie “Wise Guys”

The “Goodfellas” star is returning to the gangster drama genre that made him a star with “Wise Guys,” to be directed by his frequent collaborator Barry Levinson.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Wise Guys” tells the story of Italian-American crime bosses Vito Genovese and Frank Costello, who ran their respective families in the middle of the 20th century.

In 1957, Genovese tried and failed to assassinate Costello, who was wounded and attempted to retire from the mafia. De Niro is expected to portray both characters.

The Warner Bros. mob drama was written by Nicholas Pileggi, who previously co-wrote De Niro’s films “Goodfellas” and “Casino” with Martin Scorsese. He also wrote the non-fiction books on which the movies were based.

Levinson, who is known for “Rain Man” and “Good Morning, Vietnam,” first worked with the veteran actor on 1996’s “Sleepers” and they subsequently reunited on films such as 1997’s “Wag the Dog” and 2008’s “What Just Happened.”

Their most recent collaboration was in 2017 with the Emmy-nominated TV film “The Wizard of Lies,” in which De Niro played disgraced financier Bernie Madoff.

Irwin Winkler, best known for the “Rocky” franchise, has joined “Wise Guys” as a producer.

He has been in the news recently as the franchise’s creator and star, Sylvester Stallone, called him out on social media to ask for some of his ownership rights back.

Nicki Minaj Defends Britney Spears Against Attacks By Rapper And Ex-Husband K-Fed

Britney Spears has a new champion who is stepping up and snapping on her ex-husband Kevin Federline for his recent antic to embarrass the pop star and make her look like a bad mom to her fans.

During a Queen Radio conversation with her friends on Tuesday, August 16th, Nicki Minaj aimed the former background dancer who came up when he bedded and wedded the former Disney star.

“Do you understand what kind of a clown you have to be to be a whole, grown f###### man, and as soon as you see somebody happy … and getting married … and moving on … and being free … and feeling good in their own skin … to do the very thing that you know is going to attempt to break them down?” Nicki Minaj said.

But she didn’t stop there.

Mrs. Petty continued saying, “Only cowards use the media against a famous person who they once loved, they procreated with, they’re being taken care of by, they once were being taken care of by, using the person’s fame as this constant ‘gotcha’ moment.”

Kevin Federline and Britney Spears have two children, Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline, who are 16 and 15 years old.

In 2019, Britney was granted 30% unsupervised visitation with her children. The father says he doesn’t let her see the boys because she sometimes posts nudes on her social media, and he doesn’t think that’s appropriate, according to Capital FM.

Federline said he has spoken to his boys, saying, “I try to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself.’ But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough. I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school.”

Britney hit back, saying, “It concerns me the fact that the reason is based on my Instagram, it was long before Instagram. I daringly would like for the Federlines to watch the Big Booty video!!! Other artists have made much worse when their children were extremely young!!!!!”

Without getting into the details, Nicki chimed in on the live stream and challenged the attack on her fellow famous mom, saying directly to Federline, “You think it’s OK? You think that anybody’s going to feel sorry for you?”

“She loves her kids more than life itself,” Nicki said.

“You wanna take your little goofy ass to do some m############ interview? How dare you. How dare you encourage this woman’s children to be a part of your nonsense,” she said. “When they look back, they’re gonna say, ‘Why, why, why did we do this?’ They’re kids. They don’t know how detrimental this is. But you know, c#########.”

Ultimately, the rapper told Kevin Federline to back off, saying, “leave her the f##k alone.”

Zoe Kravitz Regrets Commenting On Will Smith’s Vicious Oscar Assault On Chris Rock

Zoe Kravitz has expressed regret over the way she called out Will Smith for slapping Chris Rock at the 2022 Academy Awards in March.

The “Men in Black” star stunned the world when he slapped the comedian onstage after he made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, and went on to accept the Best Actor Oscar for “King Richard” around 40 minutes later.

Following the controversy, Zoe took to Instagram to post a snap of her wearing a white backless Saint Laurent dress as she posed at Vanity Fair’s annual Oscars after-party and added the caption, “Here is a picture of my dress at the party after the award show – where we are apparently screaming profanities and assaulting people on stage now.”

But in a new interview for The Wall Street Journal, the “Big Little Lies” actress admitted that she wished she had handled the situation “differently.”

“I’m torn about what to say right now because I’m supposed to just talk about it; I have very complicated feelings around it,” she said. “I wish I had handled that differently. And that’s okay.”

Zoe went on to note that the vast online response to her comment led her to reconsider how she uses social media.

“It’s a scary time to have an opinion or to say the wrong thing or to make controversial art or statements or thoughts or anything,” the 33-year-old continued. “It’s mostly scary because art is about conversation. That should, in my opinion, always be the point. The internet is the opposite of conversation. The internet is people putting things out and not taking anything in… I think I’m in a place right now where I don’t want to express myself through a caption or a tweet. I want to express myself through art.”

Zoe is working on her directorial debut, “P#### Island,” which stars Naomi Ackie and Channing Tatum.

Will apologized to Academy members and his peers during his acceptance speech for Best Actor at the film event and followed it up with a lengthy apology on Instagram the next day.

Later, the 53-year-old resigned from the Academy and was banned from attending the Oscars for ten years.

Fredo Bang Gives His Location And Dares Opps To Pull Up

Fredo Bang is different. He is a rapper that has had some hits like “Oouuh” and “Top”. Coming from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, you already know he’s real. But these days, he moving in ways that could be seen as very dangerous. Dangerous for who is the question.

Homie got on live and gave out exactly where he was and essentially dared his opposition to pull up on him.

“Pull up on me.. I give y’all 5 minutes to pull up,” Fredo Bang said. Needless to say, nobody showed up and he’s still alive.

Some people called him our for this. Some said this was just Fredo being stupid and risking his life. Others claim he was just BSing because there is no way anybody could get to him within five minutes. Regardless, I am sure that that rapper has whatever one could need to defend against such aggression.

See folks, Mr. Bang has already been charged with attempted murder in the past. He did the time and came home. Last year, he got out of jail after a parole violation. Remember him and Lit Yoshi were arrested shortly before Rolling Loud Miami.

There was also that shooting at NBA Youngboy. A lot of stuff, people.

Here’s the latest from Fredo.

Black Thought Talks Being Perceived As An Underrated Emcee

Many diehard Hip Hop devotees view Tarik “Black Thought” Trotter as one of the greatest rappers of all time. However, some mainstream rap fans may not be as familiar with The Roots frontman.

Throughout his four-decade career, Black Thought released projects as a member of The Roots and as a soloist. The Philadelphia-raised wordsmith recently teamed with producer Danger Mouse for the Cheat Codes album.

Both Black Thought and Danger Mouse joined Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 to discuss their new collaborative project. Thought was asked about being perceived as an underrated emcee.

“I think over the years I’ve definitely felt like, yeah. I mean, people, everyone says that. Everyone I meet, ‘You’re so underrated. You’re so underrated,'” responded Black Thought.

The 50-year-old Grammy winner added, “Or you’re in interviews and it’s, ‘How do you feel to be so underrated?’ But yeah, I don’t know. The people whose opinions matter to me have always properly rated me, so it’s never really been a huge deal for me.”

Black Thought and Danger Mouse’s critically-acclaimed Cheat Codes collaborative LP includes features by Raekwon, Kid Sister, Joey Bada$$, Russ, Dylan Cartlidge, MF Doom, A$AP Rocky, Run The Jewels, and Conway The Machine.

“It was all really organic. Everybody that’s on the album is somebody we knew or worked with before in some kind of way, but we didn’t really add any of the rappers until our part was done at the end,” Danger Mouse told Zane Lowe.

Danger Mouse’s discography contains The Grey Album as well as two albums with CeeLo Green as Gnarls Barkley. As a member of The Roots, Black Thought took part in the creation of numerous LPs since the early 1990s. Thought dropped his debut solo album, Streams of Thought, Vol. 3: Cane & Able, in 2020.
