Drakeo The Ruler: His Child’s Mother Speaks Out On His Murder And The $20 Million Lawsuit

By: SlausonGirl (@slausongirl)

Since the murder of rapper Drakeo The Ruler a few months ago, Tianna Purtue has been left with the burden of trying to get their 5-year-old son to understand that his father is never coming back.

Drakeo The Ruler, born Darrell Caldwell, 28, was set to perform at the Once Upon A Time in L.A festival on December 18th, 2021, when he found himself involved and outnumbered in a melee before he could hit the stage.

The incident happened in an alleyway adjacent to the Banc of California Stadium in South Central near the University of Southern California (USC).

Drakeo died a few hours later at a local hospital after suffering stab wounds to his neck.

There are currently no suspects in custody for his death.

The Cochran Firm filed a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of Drakeo’s son, Caiden. C3 Presents, The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC), Jeff Shuman, Live Nation, and Bobby Dee Presents were named in the lawsuit.

Drakeo The Ruler’s murder questions the measures taken by venues to ensure the safety of both talent and patrons at large rap concerts.

Ten people were killed one month before Drakeo’s death after attending Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival in Texas.

His death also highlights the trend of violence that surrounds African-American rappers in the U.S. This energy not only cuts short the lives and artistic expression of these Black rappers – but it also threatens to affect the healthy development of their loved ones who also are traumatized by their murders – especially the children they leave behind.

AllHipHop: How have you been coping during this time?

Tianna Purtue: It has been hard, honestly because I just think of Caiden. My main concern is him. He will see me crying and ask, “Mommy are you ok?” And I don’t want to cry in front of him so I’ll say, “yeah I’m just thinking.” Then he’ll ask me what I was thinking about. When I’m thinking, I’m like, wow, he’s five. How many times am I going to have to repeat this before he actually understands ok, my dad is really not coming back.

AllHipHop: How Did You Meet Drakeo The Ruler?

Tianna Purtue: We met on Instagram and were not together at the time of his death. Before we had Caiden we were together a little over three years, and that is when we brought our beautiful son into the world. I met him when I was getting out of high school. He’s 28, and I’m 26. I know what the public sees, but he really has a sweetheart for his family and loved ones and takes care of what he needs to take care of. He was big on that, making sure everyone who was around him and supported him, they got that in return. That’s how Caiden came to be because the love between us was strong.

He always took care of me, especially since he was older than me. He knew what was going to happen. I do appreciate that, and that is why there will always be love in my heart for him because, at the end of the day, we brought Caiden into this world together.

AllHipHop: The family hired The Cochran Firm to announce the wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of your son. Why is this important to you?

Tianna Purtue: It is important to me because I think of what happened to Darrell and also now our 5-year-old he left behind—and that was not by choice. It was a major tragedy on how this happened and the lack of security at the venue. No one has any answers for his son. I’m sitting here constantly trying to talk to my son and let him know that everything is going to be ok even though you won’t see your dad again. The last things that we have to hold on to are our memories with him and his music which is one of Caiden’s favorite things to listen to all the time. He is always asking to watch his dad on youtube performing.

I have to deal with the fact that he asks me sometimes daily when he is going back to his dad’s house, or is his dad still gone, or is he coming back. He’s not really grasping that his dad is actually gone and he is never going to be able to see him again. It is a big challenge for me and I feel like this is a real big deal for me today. Especially for Caiden because we are going to step up and we are going to let them know that no one is able to bring Darrell back or give him an answer on why his dad is gone and he can’t come back to him.

AllHipHop: How did you feel watching Drakeo The Ruler being railroaded by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office and fighting for his freedom?

Tianna Purtue: If we bring it back to the beginning, the day that I was giving birth to our son he was getting his home invaded by the police and he actually had to miss our son being born. That was really hard. After that he was released, only to be put back in jail, with the D.A’s coming after him.

All I wanted was for him to be there with his son. While they were spending time railroading him, trying to accuse him of things, he is missing out on valuable time with his son. That’s what hurt the most is they didn’t get to really have that connection but we always tried to keep it over the phone or through Darrell’s mom to make sure it never failed just because he was away.

He always took care of Caiden while he was in jail and made sure he got whatever he needed although he wasn’t physically there to give it to him. Before Covid started we would go see him to make sure he had those memories. It was different when his dad was incarcerated because he was still here on this earth.

AllHipHop: What is your biggest hope and wish for your son?

Tianna Purtue: I always pray for him. I pray that he finds peace and the Lord just watches over him and answers all his questions if I feel like I am not answering them correctly. I get repetitive questions daily from him asking can I go back to my dad’s house now? Or is my dad still gone? It hurts and then I start crying because I have to repeat myself like yes, he is not going to be here anymore. But it’s ok because you still have your grandmother, you still have your uncle and cousins.

Caiden still tells me sometimes, I’m going to my grandma’s house and my dad is going to pick me up, because that’s what he is used to. A father and son have the closest bond and I feel that was just ripped away from my child. When he goes to middle school and high school or his first football game he is not going to be able to say my dad is here to support me. It is just going to be me and the rest of the family.

Every son needs his dad and that is a major thing today where the dads are being taken away from their families. It’s really hard. There are things his dad can teach him that I can’t show my son but I will try my best to make sure he is always on the right track.

Kanye West Subpoenaed To Testify In Former Employee’s Fraud Trial

Kanye West might end up on the witness stand in a Chicago courthouse.

According to the Chicago Tribune, ‘Ye has been subpoenaed to testify in a federal trial involving one of his former employees. Arjun Dhillon faces fraud charges for allegedly trying to scam a philanthropist out of $250,000 by using Kanye West’s name.

Dhillon’s trial begins in a matter of weeks with jury selection scheduled to start on April 4. Dhillon’s attorney Sheldon Zenner admitted ‘Ye hasn’t personally received notice of the subpoena at a hearing on Wednesday (March 9).

Kanye West’s presence at the trial must be settled soon with jury selection quickly approaching. Prospective jurors need to be screened about their perceptions of ‘Ye. Court security also must prepare for the arrival of a high-profile celebrity if he ends up testifying.

Prosecutors claim Dhillon manipulated a philanthropist to wire $250,000 to a bank account supposedly affiliated with Kanye West in 2019. The account belonged to Dhillon, whose bank flagged the transaction.

Dhillon allegedly crafted fake emails to convince the victim of his close ties to Kanye West since he stopped working for ‘Ye in 2018. Dhillon’s scheme failed when the victim alerted a bank to the potential fraud and stopped the money from being transferred.

Tory Lanez Disses Megan Thee Stallion’s Boyfriend Pardison Fontaine On “Cap” Song

Tory Lanez continued his public war of words with Megan Thee Stallion and her boyfriend Pardison Fontaine a.k.a. Pardi.

The controversial artist dissed Pardi on a new song titled “Cap.” The track leaked ahead of its official release on Thursday (March 10).

Tory Lanez took aim at Megan Thee Stallion’s boyfriend on two lines in the song. One featured wordplay involving Pardi’s name while the other referenced his work writing for Cardi B.

“Only party that we know is next door,” Tory Lanez rapped before targeting Pardi a few lines later. “He would say something back, but he need Cardi B for that.”

After the diss track surfaced online, the Canadian rapper/singer wanted to clarify his intent on Twitter. Without explicitly mentioning Pardi, Tory Lanez made sure no one misconstrued his lyrics.

“Before my new song #CAP even drops TONIGHT … there’s one thing in the song I don’t want no one getting confused,” he wrote. “I am not dissing @OffsetYRN or @iamcardib. That’s family.”

Tory Lanez is currently awaiting trial in an assault case. He’s been accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled to take place in April.

Kim Kardashian Dragged By Jameela Jamil Over Work Ethic Comments

Jameela Jamil has blasted Kim Kardashian over her comments about working hard.

In an interview with Variety published on Wednesday, the reality TV star insisted people needed to do more to achieve their goals.

“I have the best advice for women in business,” she said. “Get your f###### ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.”

A short time after the article made the rounds on social media, Jameela took to Twitter to call out Kim for her “tone-deaf” viewpoint.

“I think if you grew up in Beverly Hills with super successful parents in what was simply a smaller mansion… nobody needs to hear your thoughts on success/work ethic,” she wrote. “This same 24 hours in the day s### is a nightmare. 99.9% of the world grew up with a VERY different 24 hours.”

Jameela went on to give credit to Kim and her family members for launching some “super impressive” business ventures.

But she also argued that the Kardashian-Jenner family started from a point of privilege.

“They shouldn’t be asked about their secret to success. They shouldn’t answer those questions. It’s all obvious to everyone, and I hope nobody holds themselves to the standards of people who were raised by millionaires,” the 36-year-old continued. “Just take the money, use it for good and chill the f### out when lecturing others about grind and hustle. And learn how to brag without putting others down who have less… This is not just a Kim problem. This is a general problem of the media allowing/encouraging celebrities who grew up wealthy to ‘give advice’ to people who have 100th their opportunity, it comes off every time anyone does it as extremely tone deaf, elitist and patronising. We just have to stop altogether with everyone. She isn’t the first one to say this stuff: but she should be the last.”

Artist Tima Marso’s Gay Aliens Society NFT Project Has Hip-Hop Stars’ Attention

Tima Marso, a highly acclaimed artist, created 10,000 NFTs for the Gay Aliens Society NFT project. Tima Marso was born in Strezhevoy, Russia, on August 6, 1992. The most efficient way for Marso to present and express feeling and personality is through art. Consequently, Tima created the Gay Aliens Society NFTs, a unique collection of NFTs.

The purpose of non-fungible tokens (NFT) is to create a feeling of unity and community. The Bored Ape Yacht Club, for example, is home to a multimillion-dollar collection of NFTs. The current owners of Bored Ape NFTs are the only ones eligible to attend their extravagant in-person get-togethers and events. The Gay Aliens Society NFT collection may rival many other well-known NFT collections in the foreseeable future.

Beyond the sense of community, Marso is introducing new concepts to the project. You can have your Gay Alien Society NFT included in the TV show Gay Aliens in Metaverse.

The TV series will incorporate 20 characters, each of whom will be represented by a different NFT from the collection. Any of the collections NFT’s may be swapped for one of the main characters depending entirely on their corresponding zodiac signs. Given these features, anyone may have the opportunity for their NFT to appear in the TV show.

The show is produced and developed by Archstone Entertainment, of Hollywood. Beyond the TV show, the developers of the project are also including an estate in the metaverse on the Decentraland platform. In the metaverse, Gay Aliens Society NFT owners will be able to interact and participate in the live performances and gatherings that are offered like screenings, fashion shows, shopping, sushi, and much more.

As a result of their roadmap, the Gay Aliens Society has garnered a significant amount of celebrity attention for both their NFT collection and their new in-development TV show. Gay Aliens Society has a wealth of sponsorship and royalty opportunities thanks to this unique and rare opportunity to see one’s NFT featured on television. Creating a TV series based on an NFT and inviting other successful NFT projects to co-star on the series will unify several NFT projects into one giant community.

A pre-sale of NFTs offered by the Gay Alien community has been completely sold out, which consisted of 1,000 aliens. In addition, several celebrities, such as Brooklyn Beckham and DJ Diplo, have favored the idea. They have shared videos that were on the Gay Aliens Society’s Instagram feed, and each of these stars publicly endorses and owns at least one Gay Alien. Another celebrity who publicly supports the Gay Aliens NFT effort is David Beckham’s younger brother, Cruz Beckham. Diplo’s public wallet “Diplo. eth” owns at least two NFTs of the Gay Aliens Society.

As you can see, Tima Marso’s humongous reputation and ambition for the Gay Aliens Society has a dedicated community and mainstream support; they have all committed to helping this group succeed and evolve. This garnered public support and interest, as well as the features associated with the Gay Aliens Society NFT project, are all part of the reason why there is so much celebrity interest. Jason Derulo can even be seen commenting on Gay Aliens Instagram page here! Their Discord eagerly awaits the public sale, with over 10,000 members!

FMB DZ Talks Detroit Roots, Relationship with Sada Baby, & ‘Back On Track’ Project

Everybody who listens to hip-hop knows how poppin’ the Detroit rap scene is. From Eminem to Big Sean to Royce Da 5’9″, it seems the city continues to bear fruit to endless legends.

FMB DZ, who is next to rise out of the underground scene, showcases hard-hitting punchlines, gritty bars, and exquisite storytelling in his rhymes.

In describing himself, FMB DZ states, “[I’m] the biggest ape in America. Hungry! That’s what I’m pushing. If you ain’t got the heart of the ape, you ain’t nothing. No snakes, no nothing else. Only the apes. When I’m in the zoo, I go visit the apes. Spend time with the apes.”

Speaking his truth with each release, FMB DZ exploded onto the scene with his breakout mixtape titled I Ain’t Gonna Lie. The project hailed standout features from Sada Baby, Babyface Ray, BandGang Lonnie Bands, and more, showcasing strength in unity when it comes to putting on for the city. If there’s one thing you can count on from DZ, it’s that he’ll take care of his people.

Fast forward to today, the rising star unleashes his brand new project titled Back On Track, giving fans his newest effort after taking 6 months off from rapping. Released via EMPIRE/Fast Money Boyz Entertainment, the 16-track project is spearheaded by lead singles “FMB DZ 2k22” and “Letter From Vegas,” with features from Sada Baby, Louie Ray, Skilla Baby, and more.

AllHipHop: What does Detroit mean to you?

FMB DZ: Detroit means everything to me. Detroit made me, Detroit is everything to me.

AllHipHop: What makes you stand out?

FMB DZ: What’s most unique about me is I’m a sit around and speak on some s### that’s really occurring at the moment. That’s what’s really unique with me. I don’t rap about the fairytale, I really rap about s### that’s really occurring in real life: in my life and people’s around me lives. That’s what makes me unique, it makes me stand out.

AllHipHop: When did you think you could do music for a living?

FMB DZ: Probably 2015, when I first got my lil $500 for a show. It felt good. I felt like I could put some money in my pocket, and I was doing something I like to do. I said if I keep going, this $500 gon’ turn into something else. So that’s what I did.

AllHipHop: What were you doing before music?

FMB DZ: I had a few jobs, I was doing the regular s### that ay n*gga would do tryna get money. I had a couple jobs, sold a lil weed. You know how that s### go. But other than that, I was rapping.

AllHipHop: “I Ain’t Gone Lie” was a big moment for you, debut mixtape. What’d it do for your career?

FMB DZ: Aw nah, see I Ain’t Gone Lie was everything to me. I Ain’t Gon Lie really put me where I needed to be as far as a rapper. When I dropped I Ain’t Gone Lie, when me and my team put that together, it really made me feel like a rapper. S###, I’m a rapper now! I have a whole tape out. I have copies of CDs I’m passing out in the hood. It was over with, you couldn’t tell me s###. I felt like Master P.

AllHipHop: Obviously, Master P did it independently…

FMB DZ: Exactly.

AllHipHop: How does it feel to be doing this on your own?

FMB DZ: That’s cool. I think the people respect the grind more, when they feel like they’re growing with you and they understand where you’re coming from. That’s what it is.

AllHipHop: I’m sure you’ve had labels calling.

FMB DZ: Most definitely. Shout out to EMPIRE. I got a lot of s### getting distributed through them. As far as the label stuff, we’ve talked to a few people a while back. But I don’t really be tripping on that, I just be working.

AllHipHop: You had Sada Baby on the first tape, you have him on the project Back On Track

FMB DZ: S###, that’s my brother. He’s on that tape, he was on the tape before that. He’s gonna be on the tape after that, after that one.

AllHipHop: How’d you guys meet?

FMB DZ: Me and bro, we got together — I record on the East side. Studio 17. We both had to record in there so at the end of the day, if you working in the same building as the n#### daily, y’all gon’ eventually build chemistry. That’s just how It was. Me and bro locked in off rip. We were in there every day, chasing the same s###. That’s how it happened, we were elevating at the same time.

AllHipHop: How did it feel to see his career go up?

FMB DZ: That s### felt good. If you ain’t happy for your dawg, I don’t know what you doing. It felt good seeing that s###, no cap.

AllHipHop: How did “The Whoop Family” come about?

FMB DZ: I sent that song to him. Really, Barry (manager) sent that to him. Barry really be doing that. I’ll send Barry some s### and he’ll send me that b#### back with all types of verses on that m###########. That’s how this s### go.

AllHipHop: Did you know you wanted Sada on it?

FMB DZ: You know B, he be in his own zone. He’ll hear him on there already and he’ll send it to them like “aye bro, do this verse for me.” Bro put the b#### on there. He’s gon’ do it anyways, but B knows I don’t think about that type of s###. He’ll think about that type of s###. That’s how it goes.

AllHipHop: You just dropped Back On Track!

FMB DZ: Back On Track, hottest s### in the streets right now! Go get that s###. I’m back on track. I took a m############ ride down I don’t know what type of lane I was on, but s### I’m back now. In the zone, we back baby.

AllHipHop: How long were you out for?

FMB DZ: I was chillin’ for about 6 months to a year, but it felt like forever.

AllHipHop: Was there any reason? Pandemic?

FMB DZ: Yeah, the pandemic. I was chillin’ through Covid, in the house getting fat. Wasn’t s### going on, what the tf I’m about to be talking about. I’m in the house chillin, eating, getting fat, trying to learn to play Call Of Duty. Learning how to drown myself on the music. Getting into art, all types of different s###. I was really like “s###, I’ll get to rap in a minute.”

But I like pleasing the fans too though, that’s what made me really get back on it. They’re like “damn, you don’t f### with us anymore?” Let me drop something for y’all to let y’all know I still f### with y’all. But I be in all types of s###, I have fun with my life. Just because I wasn’t rapping for 6 months, doesn’t mean I was under a rock. I was doing all types of s###, I just wasn’t thinking of rapping. I got a whole studio in my house, I just wasn’t rapping.

AllHipHop: The whole 6 months, you weren’t motivated to rap at all?

FMB DZ: Hell nah. I was in that b#### watching TV series, all types of s### you can think of. The Bumpy Johnson series “Godfather of Harlem”, all the “Powers.” I watched all the “Powers,” all the “Kanan” s###. I was watching everything.

AllHipHop: What inspired you to pick back up all of a sudden?

FMB DZ: My fans were on some give us new music or we gon’ go listen to these n#####’ music. We don’t want to listen to these n#####’ music, but then you gon’ make me listen because you ain’t dropping your music.

AllHipHop: You be playing Call Of Duty?

FMB DZ: Bruh, I’m weak as hell. I be practicing by myself. My n*ggas don’t like me playing with them, they be booting me off. Kicking me off and s###.

AllHipHop: People be getting features from playing Call Of Duty.

FMB DZ: That’s cool, I’ll get on that m###########. I’m a get killed, but I’ll get on that b#### to get some feature now. They want to spend some money, I’ll be on that b#### all day. S###, don’t tell me that.

AllHipHop: What’s FMB DZ feature price?

FMB DZ: $5K for the verse, $5K for the video. I ain’t gon’ lie, I be doing a lot of sweet s### for people. I’ll do $2K verses. Between me and you: if you really taking your s### serious and your s### hot, I’ll do it for free. I don’t care. Only reason I’ charge is because you about to make money off this s###. If you weren’t gonna make no money off this s### bro, I’m damn near not even gonna give you the verse. Only reason I’m a charge you is because I know you’re serious and you’re about to make money off of this s###. If you’re serious and you don’t really got it like that, I’m a do that s### for you. I pray you blow, don’t forget about me. That’s all it is.

AllHipHop: Was there anyone who took you under their wing coming up?

FMB DZ: No, I just had my big brothers with me. Hell nah, I ain’t learned s### from no rap n####. Mm-mm, I haven’t had none of these n*ggas school me on s###. My n#### Kook The Kashcow, he’s one dude. I don’t look at him like a rapper, that’s like a big brother. He’s the reason I get royalty checks till this day. N##### like him I’m a always have respect for. When this s###’s all said and done, he gon’ always have a spot at the table with me.

AllHipHop: “Letter From Vegas,” who or what inspired this record?

FMB DZ: S###, man no telling. I be feeling one way 5 minutes, feeling the next way 10 minutes later. Ain’t no telling what I was going through, I be having mood swings. I’ll tell you what: whatever I was going through, I needed to be going through that s### to say… you know?

AllHipHop: How was shooting the video?

FMB DZ: It was cool. I really hate videos forreal. I really don’t like shooting them. I only like shooting videos with certain people. My n#### Keefer, I had fun shooting for Keefer. Certain people gon’ make s### feel alive. I be doing more work than them, I don’t like that s### sometimes. Bro, you’re supposed to make me look good, because I be seeing a lot of people that are pure booty. But their video, they looking sweet as hell. How the f### they looking this sweet bro? They ain’t even doing s###. Ya feel me? My n#### Keefer, he got that test from me so I enjoy shooting with him when I’m shooting. But I don’t always enjoy shooting videos.

AllHipHop: What’s your favorite song on the project?

FMB DZ: “2k22” is my favorite joint. All of the “2k” is my favorite though. From “2k17,” that’s Sada. “2k19,” that’s me. “2k20,” that’s Sada. “20k22” is me. I love all the “2k’s.” You a f###### clown if you don’t like no “2k’s”. You have to like all them b######. I think we need to make an EP, call that b#### 2k with all them b###### on there.

AllHipHop: One thing you want fans to get from the project?

FMB DZ: No matter what the f### is going on, stay focused on what you need to be focused on. ‘Cause this s###’s just like school. You get sidetracked for too long, you miss too many days, then you’ll be behind on s###. Stay on your s### with this s###. Don’t let s### get away from you. Everyday, you need to be in tune with something. I don’t give a f### what’s going on.

AllHipHop: What motivates you? What inspires you?

FMB DZ: S###, my n##### I got around me on an everyday basis. My family, my everyday lifestyle. Spending money every day knowing I have to get this s### back. All types of s### motivates me.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio at all times?

FMB DZ: Weed, waters, sodas, some ice, some cups. I need some candy Jolly Ranchers.

AllHipHop: Who’s in your Top 5?

FMB DZ: 50 Cent. I like Jadakiss. I like Wayne too, I was a fan of Wayne. Wayne in there. Who else I like? Oh Guwop right now, I like Gucci. I like what he stands for, how he carries himself. I got one more. Oh Scuba, Sada. He’s the coldest, that boy. That’s my boy right there, he’s talented.

AllHipHop: Best encounter you had with a fan?

FMB DZ: When they be crying, that s### makes my day. It’s crazy.

AllHipHop: Goals yourself as an artist at this point of your career?

FMB DZ: Hell yeah, I keep goals for myself. Losing weight, eating healthy, all types of s###.

AllHipHop: You be working out?

FMB DZ: Yeah, I be in the gym but I’m not consistent enough.

AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let us know?

FMB DZ: Back On Track out now. Go get that s###, you gon’ love that s###. TheWhoop way!

Singer-Songwriter Julia Klochkova Is An Artist On Our Radar In 2022

The way a few industries have evolved and grown on a consistent basis demonstrates how effectively they have adapted to technological advancements. However, one must dispute the fact how well a few individuals contributed greatly to them via their persistent hard work and distinctive abilities. Doing the same in the world of music, which continues to develop with each passing year, can be a more difficult and scary endeavour, but a few people, particularly among the younger generation, have done it and done it well. Julia Klochkova is one of them, and she has worked hard to carve out a niche for herself in the music world.

Julia Klochkova, like her name, stands out in the industry for more than ‘one’ reason. As a young and upcoming musical talent, he has given it her all to ensure that she improves her musical craft while also raising the standard for others in the industry. Realizing her actual purpose in life at the early age of 10 and ensuring that he worked hard to achieve her musical objectives helped her generate a lot of interest in herself and her work.

She says “ Hardest thing would be am I making music because I really feel this way or because I heard something that sounds similar. Unless I truly feel a certain way I can’t really put that music out there. It’s just not right and I think every artist should hold that accountability.”

No one in the industry can compare to the way he sings and the true passion she has for music. She explains that she is obsessed with music, which has kept her going despite the fact that she is up against a lot of competition. Drake Obtains Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker Following Threats

A judge granted Drake’s request to issue a restraining order against his alleged stalker.

According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, a judge approved a temporary restraining order to protect Drake from a woman named Mesha Collins. The OVO rapper’s alleged stalker must stay 100 yards away from him, his home and anywhere he works.

Drake first encountered Collins when she trespassed at his Los Angeles mansion in 2017. He didn’t press charges against her, yet she targeted him again years later.

The 29-year-old woman filed a $4 billion against the diamond-selling artist in 2021, accusing him of invasion of privacy. The lawsuit was dismissed, but Collins unsuccessfully tried to pursue it again earlier this year.

Drake said Collins sent him threatening emails as well. In one email, she allegedly told him to “put a bullet through your head.”

“Ms. Collins is a stalker,” Drake noted in his petition for the restraining order. “I have no relationship whatsoever with her. I am concerned that giving notice would prompt Ms. Collins to attempt to come to my home or harm me, as her behavior is escalating from merely suing me to wishing me dead.”

Drake will learn the full extent of his protection later this month. The court will decide if the restraining order becomes permanent at an upcoming hearing.

Young Roddy Drops the Video for “Weed & Women” Ahead of the Release of New Solo Album, “Never Question God,” Tonight at Midnight

Babygrande Records releases Young Roddy’s video for “Weed & Women” ahead of his latest solo album, a delicately curated collection of the soulful sound for which he is known.

Young Roddy has been releasing music at a prolific rate. He’s released ten tracks as of December of last year, including singles with Killer Mike and Conway The Machine, as well as a seven-track EP. With the release of the Sergio Lorenzana-directed video for “Weed & Women,” Roddy keeps the momentum going as he gears up to drop his new album, “Never Question God.” Young Roddy is uniquely positioned in the rap game: he’ll release a slew of tracks with fast flows and hard-hitting drums, then tone it back to deliver heartfelt lyrics over slower, more melodic production. It is this balance that makes Young Roddy such an exciting artist to watch, which he exemplifies in “Never Question God.”

From front to back, the album paints a vivid picture of Young Roddy’s coming up. Despite Young Roddy discussing the hardships he’s faced, each track empowers its listeners – encouraging and motivating throughout the album. He experiments with different production, yet also delivers the patented soulful sound he created with Curren$y as they built the Jet Life movement from the ground up. Young Roddy steps into the limelight with his new album, and as such, he has tapped a few of the hottest artists in hip-hop for dynamic collaborations.

An exclusive album release party will take place tonight at the House of Blues in New Orleans, where Young Roddy will be performing alongside special guests Conway The Machine and Stove God Cooks. It is the first of several upcoming performances for Young Roddy, which also include SXSW and two shows with Curren$y on April 1st and 2nd in Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.

Across his career and within his music, Young Roddy has always maintained a level of authenticity that is refreshing and genuine, and it’s no different on “Never Question God.” The album shows that Young Roddy still has the same penchant for irresistible flows and uncanny ability to create anthem-like hooks.

Kim Kardashian Will Tell All About Pete Davidson Romance On New Reality Show

LKim Kardashian has confirmed viewers will find out “all the details” about her relationship with Pete Davidson on her family’s new reality show.

The 41-year-old began dating the “Saturday Night Live” star in October after she hosted the sketch show, and has kept the relationship private.

However, in a cover interview with Variety, she spoke about Pete for the first time and revealed fans will get to learn about how they got together on the upcoming series, “The Kardashians.”

“(They’ll see) how we met and who reached out to who and how it happened and all the details that everyone wants to know,” she shared. “I’m definitely open to talking, and I definitely explain it.”

She revealed that the comedian will not appear in the first series of the Hulu show but she is not opposed to it in the future.

“I have not filmed with him,” she stated. “And I’m not opposed to it. It’s just not what he does. But if there was an event happening and he was there, he wouldn’t tell the cameras to getaway. I think I might film something really exciting coming, but it wouldn’t be for this season.”

Kim also revealed that her ex-husband Kanye West filmed scenes for the show before their divorce turned acrimonious and he features in a major arc in the first episode.

However, fans will not see her criticizing the rapper as she is conscious of what their four children might hear.

“I believe in championing publicly and criticizing privately. I don’t think I would ever criticize the father of my children on my TV show. That’s just not really what I’m about, and I just don’t think that would ever make me feel good,” she explained. “I’m always really respectful of what the kids will see. The reality is, we’re always a family. We always will have a love and respect for each other.”

“The Kardashians” launches on Hulu on April 14th.

Are The NBA YoungBoy And Lil Durk Billboards Pushing Beef?

On the whole, it appears as though the war of words continues. So, are the NBA YoungBoy and Lil Durk billboards pushing a burgeoning beef? Well, the respected artists are certainly making their beliefs known.

Thus far, social media has been circulating photos of the respective billboards. Earlier this week, on Tuesday (March 8), several people discuss how Durk may seemingly be sending a message to Top. As a matter of fact, these advertisements have been sighted in Baton Rouge.

Of course, Baton Rouge is the hometown of the Neighborhood Superstar. In addition, the message is clearly spelled out using cash. Previously, when YB was in Utah serving house arrest, he revived the trend of using currency to send out a message.

Next, it is certainly apparent that “Durk better,” is a definite spin on the Southern spitter’s popular motto. Also, last year, the BR wordsmith’s team used billboads to help promote, Sincerely, Kentrell. Be that as it may, Louisiana lyricist has more to say and he does not hesitate to hop into action.

Rather, than sending out wifi shots, Mr. Grim Reaper allegedly gets activated. Out of nowhere, an NBA YoungBoy billboard pops up in Chicago. Imagery from his recent mixtape, Colors, is on ardent display. Additionally, its message rings out, “YB VS EVERYBODY,” cannot be missed.

Above all, it is best that this perceived animosity remain in the creative realm.

Judge Says Officer Lied On Rapper C Blu … As Report Drops Showing NYPD Has Paid $1.7 BILLION In Settlements For Police Misconduct

NY Supreme Court Justice Naita Semaj publicly stated that an NYPD officer lied on drill rapper C Blu when he testified against the artist.

The cop implied that the teen rapper was not cooperating with the police, but “clear” video footage proves that he was.

According to the Washington Post, this type of police misconduct has cost taxpayers across the nation over $3.2 billion in settlement claims from 2011, to 2021.

Research released by the outlet showed that 7,600 officers are responsible for “40,000 payments at 25 of the nation’s largest police and sheriff’s departments” within the past decade.

The officer’s conduct in C Blu’s case is an example of misconduct and violation of rights that could potentially cost the city of New York City a hefty bag.

According to the New York Daily News, on Tuesday, March 8th, the Bronx judge called the cop’s testimony “incredible” and “self-serving,” later adding it “had no value.”

C Blu, who also happens to want to be a good student in high school with a desire to become a biochemist in addition to his rap career, is accused of shooting an officer on January 18th.

Semaj recognized that the 16-year-old did have a firearm on her person, but there was “no apparent reason” for Bronx Officer Taulant Gjonbalaj, or any other officers to have approached him and escalated the confrontation.

Semaj, who serves in the New York Supreme Court 12th Judicial District, said in her ruling on the case that “there was absolutely zero reason for any of those officers to approach this individual.”

“They approached him, they detained him, they searched him, and no officer even bothered to come up with a halfway legitimate reason for any of that,” she emotionally said.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, the officers reported that the artist, who was part of a “disorderly crowd,” refused to obey the cop’s command to take his hands out of his pockets.

This act of defiance launched the fight between Officer Kaseem Pennant and the child.

It was alleged that the teen shot at the officer and struck himself in the leg in the process.

C Blu’s lawyer Dawn Florio stated in January, “My client never touched the gun. You could hear the people saying that they thought the police officer shot my client.”

Video footage supports the defense and draws questions to the officer’s recollection about the shooting or firing.

It showed that as Officers Pennant and Gjonbalaj illegally searched the minor, the gun that he had on his person went off, which caused both injuries. The officers made up the other story.

“While there is no disputing the fact that Mr. Williams had a gun on him that night,” Semaj stated, “he literally does everything you tell your child to do when they’re approached by cops. He literally kept his hands up. He literally tried to record to make sure there was proof. He answered questions he had no obligation to answer.”

The judge addressed Officer Taulant Gjonbalaj’s blatant misrepresentation of the facts.

“I cannot state how absolutely incredible his testimony was,” she said. “It was inconsistent with the video, it was inconsistent with his fellow officer’s testimony, it was self-serving, it had no value.”

She further stated that the prosecution did not demonstrate that shot caused Pennant to have “significant physical injury,” a factor crucial to determine if this case should be moved to Family Court, considering the age of the defendant.

This is important.

C Blu, who has pleaded not guilty, was charged as an adult with criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree assault, and other weapons charges.

If the case is heard in Family Court, he will not be prosecuted by the Bronx District Attorney, but the city’s Law Department.

The rapper will also not have a trial by jury, but as a juvenile, he will have the case decided by judges — a possibility that will have less harsh penalties.

As the judge pointed out, the child’s rights were actually violated as there was no reason to approach him or his group in the first place.

Should this case be thrown out, and C Blu file his own civil rights lawsuit, he could potentially add to the number of recipients who have settled with the city because a cop was moving funny.

Over the last decade, the Big Apple has dolled out a total of $1.779 billion (a whopping $1,779,045,901) in police misconduct lawsuit settlements. The report notes that 46% by officers are named in multiple payments.

New York City Police Sgt. Edward Riley responded to this statistic, “The numbers have been, for a few years now, on a continuous downward trend indicating that members of this Department are acting with courtesy, professionalism, and respect and in accordance with the trainings and policies of this Department… Notices of Claim are allegations and are sometimes paid by the City prior to litigation as a business decision, without the benefit of evidence or officers’ testimony.”

Most police officers are upright and serve honorably … it is those rotten apples that spoil the who bunch.

Kanye West Unleashes Monkey Attack On Pete Davidson

Kanye West cannot get Pete Davidson off of his mind.

On Wednesday, Kanye and The Game released a new music video for their collaboration “Eazy.”

In the new animation, the rappers appear as video game-style characters and are frequently accompanied by skinned monkeys.

As Kanye raps, “God saved me from that crash/Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s a*s,” a skinned monkey beats up a man with a pixelated face wearing a “Skete” hoodie.

Ye refers to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s new boyfriend Davidson as “Skete.”

The new promo comes after the “Touch the Sky” hitmaker deleted the original version featuring clay animation figures.

In that controversial video, Kanye’s clay self kidnaps and buries Davidson. He recently defended the video, insisting he meant no harm or ill will.

Meanwhile, the rapper celebrated Donda 2’s being ruled ineligible for the Billboard charts.

Earlier this week, Billboard officials announced that Ye’s latest release won’t appear on any of their charts in America because it violates their policy against merchandise bundles.

Albums sold with merchandise are ineligible for inclusion and Donda 2 was only released via West’s Stem Player device, which most fans had to purchase to hear his new music.

Reacting to the news, the 44-year-old wrote on Instagram on Wednesday, “Big win for the kid We can no longer be counted or judged We won we won we won we won We make my own systems We set our own value aaaand yesterdays price is not todays price baaaaabeeeee (sic)!!!!!”

Kanye claims that he made over $2 million in sales of the Stem Player in the 24 hours after he revealed fans could only listen to Donda 2 on the device.

Jussie Smollett Sentenced To 150 Days In Prison For His 2021 ‘Lying To Police’ Conviction

Former “Empire” star Jussie Smollett has been sentenced to 150 days in jail – roughly 5 months – and 30 months of probation for his December 2021 conviction after he lied to police about being attacked by white MAGA-Loving Trump supporters, who allegedly targeted him for being Black and gay.

On Thursday, March 10, Cook County Judge James Linn sentenced him to a little under five months of incarceration and two and half years of probation.

This hearing was different than the closed trial, as Linn allowed press, photographers, and a television camera inside the court. This was the first time the public could hear or see Jussie Smollett’s response to his legal woes in front of the judge.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, a Chicago judge ruled after a trial that the actor orchestrated the attack. Smollett continues to deny that he made up the January 2019 attack, a debacle that cost him his job on the hit Fox music-industry-driven soap opera.

Still, the guilty conviction had him facing up to three years in prison for five felony counts of disorderly conduct, including the charge for lying to the officers.

The Associated Press wrote that there were several factors that played into Linn’s sentencing decision.

Chief among them is Smollett’s criminal history. The 39-year-old has never been in substantial trouble with the law and his conviction of lying, though embarrassing, costly, and elaborate, is considered a low-level nonviolent crime.

Experts had predicted that he would be placed on probation and ordered to complete a number of community service hours.

Currently, there is another lawsuit filed by the City of Chicago for $130,000 pending trial. If he loses, the actor would have to repay the cost of police overtime used to bring justice to him since they believed he was a victim of a hate crime.

The sentence of x is unfortunate, but is not the greatest penalty for Smollett. His career, which once had him as one of Hollywood’s hottest stars, has been severely damaged.
