Meek Mill and Michael Rubin’s REFORM Alliance teamed up with Hire! Philly to help Philadelphians get jobs.

The REFORM Alliance and Hire! Philly will host a job fair at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on June 9. Meek Mill and Rubin’s organization previously worked with Roc Nation to hold a similar event at New York’s Madison Square Garden in 2021.

“Jobs mean strong families, safe communities, and a healthy economy,” REFORM Alliance CEO Robert Rooks said in a press release. “System-impacted people constitute a ready and willing workforce but face significant barriers to employment. With this job fair, we want to empower people with hope, dignity, confidence, and access to opportunity so that they can thrive.”

Employers will offer full-time positions primarily based in the state of Pennsylvania. Meek Mill and Rubin’s REFORM Alliance will also provide attendees with opportunities to join their organization.

“People need jobs to provide for themselves and support their families,” REFORM Alliance’s Chief Advocacy Officer Jessica Jackson said. “Yet too many Philadelphians are locked out of the economy because of their criminal history or other barriers. This job fair is an opportunity to break down those barriers and help anyone trying to get back on their feet. We have an amazing group of partners, volunteers and employers ready to make this a one-stop shop for a better future.”

Paul Wall Presents Food Truck To Olympic Gold Medalist’s Mom, Gets One Of His Own

Paul Wall received a surprise while presenting a gift to an Olympian’s mother.

Cameron Davies’ Cruising Kitchens donated a $250,000 mobile kitchen to Olympic gold medalist Tamyra Mensah-Stock’s mother Shonda Wells on Saturday (May 21). Paul Wall handed over the keys to Wells before Davies unveiled another food truck for the Houston rapper.

Davies brought out Paul Wall’s Grill, which was built for the People’s Champ under a licensing agreement. The San Antonio-based Cruising Kitchens previously built food trucks for celebrities such as DJ Khaled and Gordon Ramsay.

Cruising Kitchens created a food truck for Mensah-Stock’s mother after learning about the wrestler’s plans during the Olympics. The gold medalist intended to use $30,000 of her prize money to fulfill her mother’s dream of owning a food truck.

Davies was inspired by Mensah-Stock. He decided to donate a $250,000 food truck to the family.

“When I saw the story I knew this was something we could do for her mom, that it would change her life,” he told USA Today.

Paul Wall made his way to Cruising Kitchens over the weekend and presented the gift to Wells. An overjoyed Mensah-Stock hugged him, Davies and others.

“There should be more nice people like [Davies],” Mensah-Stock told USA Today.

Eminem To Release Expanded Edition Of ‘The Eminem Show’ For 20th Anniversary

Eminem is celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Eminem Show with a special release.

Slim Shady announced an expanded edition of the diamond-selling album on Tuesday (May 24). The deluxe version of the LP will drop on Thursday (May 26).

“‘Well, if you want Shady, this is what I’ll give ya,’” the rap star wrote on social media. “#TheEminemShow 20th Anniversary Expanded Edition drops Thursday 5/26.”

Eminem didn’t reveal what will be included in the expanded edition of the album. The original version of the LP was released in 2002.

The Eminem Show debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It went platinum roughly a month after it dropped and attained its diamond certification in 2011.

Earlier this year, the album received a 12x multi-platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. Several tracks from the project, including the singles “Without Me” and “Cleanin’ Out My Closet,” earned multi-platinum status as well.

The Eminem Show expanded edition announcement happened a day after he was confirmed to appear on the upcoming Elvis movie’s soundtrack. Slim Shady will be one of several rappers featured on the project.

Eminem collaborated with Goodie Mob’s CeeLo Green on a song for the Elvis soundtrack. A snippet of the track emerged on Monday (May 23).

UPDATE: 18 Children, One Teacher Dead In Mass Shooting At Elementary School

At least 14 children were murdered after an active shooter went into a Texas elementary school with a firearm, killing them all and a teacher. There were numerous other injuries reported at a the crime location.

The incident happened at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas, a city with a population of about 16,000. The suspected gunman is an 18-year old high school student from a nearby city. The shooter, reportedly Salvador Ramos is dead, after being killed by law-enforcement that came to the horrific scene.

The shooter entered the school around 11:30 AM on Tuesday with a handgun and also a rifle. There are very few additional details at the moment, but initial reports are saying there is only one gunman.

Ramos was a student at the local high school, Uvalde High. Furthermore, the student reportedly murdered his grandmother with a firearm before going to the school for more carnage.

In a press conference, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said, “He shot and killed, horrifically, incomprehensibly, 14 students, and killed a teacher.”

The incident is the latest in a series of mass shootings that has claimed numerous lives.

One of the most recent, and most reprehensible tragedies was a shooting in Buffalo, New York which claimed the lives of 10 Black people in a largely African-American area. The killer, an admitted racist and White Supremacist, reportedly drove hours after researching the region for a dense area of Black people.

His advice is to take baby steps and keep going because, in the end, nothing’s impossible.

Verzuz Books Southern Showdown: 8Ball & MJG Vs. UGK In Atlanta

The long-discussed 8Ball & MJG vs. UGK battle is finally coming to Verzuz.

Verzuz announced a matchup between the Southern Hip Hop legends on Monday (May 23). The battle is set to take place in Atlanta on Thursday (May 26).

UGK’s Bun B started campaigning for a Verzuz battle with 8Ball & MJG in 2020. Two years later, the respected rapper got his wish.

8Ball called the Verzuz battle a “family affair” in an Instagram Live session with Timbaland and Swizz Beatz. 8Ball & MJG collaborated with UGK’s Bun B and Pimp C multiple times during their careers.

One of their notable collaborations appeared on 8Ball’s 1998 solo album Lost, which included the aptly titled “Ball & Bun” featuring Bun B. Another noteworthy song was the late Pimp C’s “Bobby & Whitney” featuring 8Ball & MJG from 2006’s Pimpalation LP.

Bun B contributed to 8Ball & MJG’s 2004 album Living Legends and their 2010 effort Ten Toes Down. He also enlisted their help on his solo albums. The duo joined him on the posse cut “You’re Everything” in 2008 and a track titled “Grow Up” in 2018.

It features production from Lil’ C Gutta (of Grand Hustle Records) whose music portfolio includes collaborations with T.I., Lil’ Wayne, Chris Brown, Jeezy, and Meek Mill, among others. More recently King has released a number of records that future his artist Prove earlier this month titled “ Losing my mind” and “ Gone tomorrow”. After a recent entry into the music scene, the artist known as Champkennelmack is starting to prove that he belongs in the scene. With three big releases under his belt from this year alone, he’s rocking radio waves and making a scene in the local and even global music strata. Hailing from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, all Champkennelmack wanted to be a musician and a respected artist from a young age. Popular Rapper’s Dad To Take Stand Against His Own Son In Upcoming Murder Trial

Ksoo’s father will testify against his son when the rapper stands trial for first-degree murder.

According to First Coast News, the Jacksonville artist’s dad, Abdul Robinson Sr., will be working with prosecutors who are trying to put both of his sons away for several murders. 

Hakeem “Ksoo” Robinson, 23, is charged with first-degree murder. Abdul Robinson Jr., 27, is charged with second-degree murder. What makes this worse is that the dad is also charged in this case.

Poppa Ksoo is charged as an accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.

As AllHipHop.com, Ksoo allegedly killed Adrian Gainer (aka Bibby) in February 2019 and Charles McCormick (aka Lil Buck) in January 2020. The rapper has been locked in the Duval County jail for close to two years after being charged with Buck’s death in 2020.

The rapper has pleaded not guilty.

Law enforcement officers and the prosecution are going after Ksoo since he is believed to be the trigger man. But his father, the agencies believe, is the leader of the gang that the rapper reps, Ace’s Top Killers (ATK).

While New York and Chicago have drill and Atlanta is the home of trap, it seems that the Florida boys, like Ksoo and others, are popularizing the genre called “murder rap,” where they rhyme about offing opps in rival gangs.

As related to this case, “Who I Smoke” mentions Bibby directly.

In this case, songs like these may be brought into question as ATK vs. KTA are rival gangs who use their rap music videos to detail their street beef and killings. 

ATK counts rappers like Yungeen Ace and Ksoo as members, while KTA has rappers like Foolio, Spottem Gottem and Y&R Mookey, who was just found guilty of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in a large scale operation of the gangs the Feds called “Operation Rap Up.”

Y&R Mookey is awaiting sentencing. During his trial, prosecutors used his rap lyrics, and videos to convict the rapper. 

This would align with the headline-grabbing case of two other rap stars, Young Thug and Gunna. In the two Georgia natives’ RICO cases, the prosecution will use their lyrics as evidence against them in the court of law.

Experts suggest Florida will most certainly follow suit.

Court records show Abdul Robinson Sr. has agreed to testify as a witness for the state in the case about Lil’ Buck’s brutal murder. Eyes are on him, and the police know it. 

The father has been moved out of the Duval County Jail for his safety.

Vladimir Putin Bans Morgan Freeman From Russia

Morgan Freeman has been named one of 963 U.S. citizens banned from Russia thanks to Vladimir Putin.

The “Shawshank Redemption” star found himself at number 840 on a new list of people not allowed in the Russian Federation.

The Ministry of Affairs of the Russian Federation released the list over the weekend, and it mostly contained names of government officials,

U.S. President Joe Biden, his son Hunter Biden, former United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House of Representatives, are a few “U.S. citizens under personal sanctions, including a ban on entry into the Russian Federation.”

The Ministry’s statement calls Freeman a “well-known film actor who in September 2017 recorded a video message accusing Vladimir Putin and Russia of conspiring against the United States and calling for a fight against our country.”

Freeman lent his voice to a public service announcement in September 2017 for the Committee to Investigate Russia. The clip accuses Russian President Vladimir Putin of using “cyber warfare to attack democracies around the world,” including his “sworn enemy, the United States.”

Nick Cannon Says The Mothers Of All His Kids Don’t Have To Get Along

Nick Cannon has insisted the mothers of his children “don’t have to” all get along.

The T.V. host is expecting his eighth child with Bre Tiesi and shares 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with his ex-wife Mariah Carey, son Golden and daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell, and twins Zion and Zillion with Abby De La Rosa. Sadly, his son Zen, whom he shared with Alyssa Scott, died at five months following a battle with cancer in December.

Nick was asked whether “all the baby mamas get along during a recent appearance on The Big Tigger Morning Show.”

“They don’t have to. They all get along with me,” he replied. Nick explained that he didn’t initially imagine having such a big family.

“I just want to be responsible as a father … I didn’t set out (for this to happen) … I just want to be the best father I can possibly be and lean into it,” the 41-year-old continued. “I embrace all my children; I love children, but I wasn’t setting out to be Father Abraham. I just embrace it. A lot of people have a lot of children as well, and they kinda keep it quiet, or they don’t talk about it. I lean into mine.”

However, Nick insisted he had no desire to get married again.

“Absolutely not. I mean, I love the romance of it. I could see myself with a life partner but (not) putting the government in my relationship,” he added.
