Polo G Arrested After His Record Release Party

Buzzing rapper Polo G was busted early this morning and sent to jail in Miami on a slew of charges.

While details are still emerging, the rapper was arrested after his release party in Miami.

The Chicago rapper was involved some sort of altercation with the police, according to booking information provided by the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, as well as his mother.

Polo G’s mom Stacia Mac demanded answers from the police, implying that both of her sons had been collared. Polo G has been charged with battery on a police officer, firefighter, resisting arrest with violence and criminal mischief.

“None of these charges would be possible if the POLICE did not make contact with my son Polo G!!! He was NOT the driver. He was a PASSENGER in a professionally licensed vehicle with security. He was moving smart and correctly. What more could he have done,” his mother fumed.

Polo G was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center around 8:45 this morning (June 12) and being held on a $20,000 bond.

The unfortunate arrest comes on the heels of Polo G’s critically acclaimed album Hall of Fame, which was released yesterday (June 11). The album features guest appearances from a variety of high profile artists, including Lil Wayne, DaBaby, G Herbo, Lil Durk and Nicki Minaj.

He performed his new single “RAPSTAR” on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” prior to his arrest.

Swae Lee Robbed Of $300,00 Worth Of Jewelry In Miami

Rae Sremmurd group member Swae Lee’s birthday weekend started on a sour note – he was robbed of a fortune’s worth of jewelry in Miami.

Swae Lee was staying at The Mondrian Hotel in the city when $300,000 worth of pricey jewelry went missing from his hotel room.

At some point, Swae left the room and his necklaces and bracelets went missing. The hit rap star reported the theft to hotel security, and an employee eventually turned in one of the bracelets.

However, his necklaces were never returned. And because one of the employees turned in his bracelet, Swae Lee believes hotel employees could be responsible for the theft.

Swae filed a report with the Miami Police Department in hopes of getting his jewelry back.

So far, there are no suspects in the theft.

A representative for The Mondrian released a statement to TMZ, saying they were working hard to help recover Swae’s jewelry.

“The hotel is working in full cooperation with the police and authorities. As always, the safety and security of our guests and colleagues remains our top priority,” a representative said.

Jay-Z Backs Company Making The “Most Advanced Chicken Nugget On The Planet”

Jay-Z and his superstar wife Beyoncé have been known to be vegan-curious, which might be a motivator for his Marcy Venture Partners firm’s most recent investment.

According to Bloomberg.com, MVP has joined other investors in a round of funding for the faux-chicken company Simulate and with their contribution pushed the food manufacturer’s value up to $250M.

Simulate claims to make the most “advanced chicken nugget on the planet.”

SIMULATE Nuggets

Two years ago, Jay-Z joined a band of investors that included Katy Perry and Serena Williams in a funding round for Impossible Burgers and along with Oprah Winfrey and Natalie Portman, jumped on the Swedish oat-milk maker Oatly brand before it went public.

If we know anything about the “Blueprint” mogul it is that he a beast when it comes to sniffing out “wins” and seeing the wave, even if it is far out on the proverbial sea.

Vegan food … basically is a tsunami and he has a surfboard ready to ride.

Grand View Research’s study, “Vegan Food Market Size, Share & Trends Analysis Report By Product (Dairy Alternative, Meat Substitute), By Distribution Channel (Online-Offline), By Region (APAC, CSA, MEA, Europe, North America), And Segment Forecasts, 2019 – 2025,” stated that “the global vegan food market size was valued at USD 12.69 billion in 2018 and is projected to expand at a CAGR of 9.6% from 2019 to 2025.”

Saweetie Explains Her “Masculine Energy”

Saweetie admits quarantine made her rethink her career.

The 27-year-old rapper released her debut single “ICY GRL” in 2017 but, after its success, she took the time in lockdown to consider the kind of music she wants to make and to become a different role model.

“After ‘ICY GRL’ hit, I was in such high demand, and it really was like night and day. I had no artist’s development. I realized that I never equated attention with happiness, so all that attention I was getting was overwhelming for me and I didn’t know how to handle it,” she told Teen Vogue magazine.

“Which is why – fast forward to last year and this year in quarantine, I had a lot of time to reflect, and that made me want to take back my power of being confident and made me want to rethink my career.”

Saweetie, real name Diamonte Quiava Valentin Harper, actually recorded
‘ICY GRL’ in her car and was renting rooms online at the time, but its release quickly transformed her lifestyle.

However, the “Best Friend” hitmaker wants her debut album to reflect who she is and where she came from, as ‘ICY GRL’ only gave a glimpse at her style.

“I went from only wanting to write freestyles to having to create a hit. Now I know how to make the hits,” she explained. “I need to let people know that I’m a West Coast girl. I’m tri-racial. I come from a poppin’, big, male-dominated family, which explains my masculine energy at times. People were only seeing ‘icy girl,’ but who was the girl under the blonde wig?”

Rapper Pras Accused Of Working With China To Pressure Former President Trump To Drop Money Laundering Charges

Fugees group member Pras Michel is in more trouble with the Feds – he was just charged with working with China to have an ongoing embezzlement investigation dropped.

According to the Department of Justice, a grand jury in Washington D.C. just returned a superseding indictment against Pras and a Malaysian national accusing them of “orchestrating an unregistered, back-channel campaign beginning in or about 2017 to influence the then-administration of the President of the United States and the Department of Justice both to drop the investigation of Jho Low.”

Pras and Jho Low were already charged with conspiring to commit money laundering. Two years ago, the Feds claimed Jho Low embezzled billions from Malaysia’s 1MDB fund.

Working with Low’s stolen money, Pras allegedly dumped millions of dollars to support the 2012 presidential campaign of then-President Barack Obama, by using at least 20 straw donors to conceal the true source of the money.

Now, Pras is accused of running a “back-channel campaign” in an attempt to get President Donald Trump’s administration to drop the entire investigation.

The pair conspired with Elliott Broidy, who was paid $9 million by Jho Low, Nickie Lum Davis, and others to engage in undisclosed lobbying campaigns at the direction of Low and the Vice Minister of Public Security for the People’s Republic of China, where the Feds believe Jho Low is currently hiding.

Pras is also charged with witness tampering, conspiracy to commit money laundering, and conspiracy to make false statements to banks.

The rapper is facing between 5-20 years in prison if he is convicted.

Ja Rule Strikes Agreement With IRS Over $3 Million Tax Bill

Queens rapper Ja Rule has made an agreement with the IRS to pay off his tax debt with a blanket check of $3.1 million.

The Murder Inc. frontman, whose real name is Jeffery Atkins, and his wife Aisha have been in hot water with the government for a minute now over the unimaginable amount of unpaid back taxes.

But court documents prove that they are doing what they can to make this right, avoiding jail time.

The Feds have petitioned a judge to “enter a judgment” of $3,139,237.76,
stating in the filing, “as of October 12, 2020, plus statutory interest and additions to tax accruing after that date for 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 tax years.”

The IRS asserts that the Atkins owe for ten years, five between 2005-2010 and five between 2012-2017.

The breakdown came out to $357,421.23 (2005), $518,700.88 (2006), $348,087.49 (2007) $267,193 (2008), $198,817.99 (2009), $47,901.53 (2010), $128,926.37 (2012), $116,720.65 (2013), $229,577.62 (2014), $212,270.42 (2015), $526,431.46 (2016) and $187,188.52 (2017).

They signed the deal on May 21. A judge has to approve it, now.

There is no word on whether or not the high school sweethearts will need a payment plan for the 7 figure bill.

The “Put it On Me” rapper is gonna have to sell a whole lot of NFTs to knock this jawn down.

EXCLUSIVE: R. Kelly’s Lawyers, Prosecutors Fight Over STD’s And “Rock Singer” Label

A battle is brewing between R. Kelly’s lawyers, and prosecutors, over – as crazy as this may sound – STDs.

Last week, R. Kelly’s lawyers submitted a questionnaire which will be presented to an anonymous jury, who will be tasked with deciding the disgraced singer’s innocence or guilt.

A number of the questions potential jurors will have to answer are very personal.

One of the questions R. Kelly’s lawyers sought to have on the questionnaire asked prospective jurors if they had ever had a sexually transmitted disease.

“Have you, a family member, or close friend, ever contracted or been exposed to a sexually transmitted disease? Please explain who (but not by name), and indicate how this impacted you?” reads one of the questions.

Earlier today (June 11) the government protested that question to Judge Ann M. Donnelly, labeling the question as “unduly and unnecessarily intrusive.”

“The government objects to this request on the basis that it is vague, overly broad and unnecessarily intrusive as it may elicit responses regarding the potential jurors’ medical history,” said Mark J. Lesko, Acting United States Attorney.

While the government is not asking for the question to be stricken in its entirety, they are asking the judge to reword the question as followed:

“The charges in this case involve allegations regarding exposure to one or more sexually transmitted diseases. Is there anything about such an allegation, without more, that you believe would affect your ability to serve as a fair and impartial juror?”

Prosecutors also scoffed at the notion R. Kelly was a rock star and asked to have a question asking jurors if they had ever attended a rock concert to be completely stricken from the questionnaire.

Prosecutors Object To R. Kelly's STD Question
Prosecutors Object To R. Kelly’s STD Question

“The defendant is not a ‘rock’ singer. As a result, the question, as currently phrased, is unlikely to result in any useful information.”

The government asked to have that question rephrased to: “Have you ever attended an R. Kelly concert?”]

While it might sound outrageous, these questions could prove pivotal for the prosecution and/or the defense, since R. Kelly is accused of knowingly transmitting herpes to one of his alleged victims and using his concerts to find victims and groom them.

R. Kelly is facing a RICO trial for allegedly running a sexual enterprise, which allegedly engaged in bribery, kidnapping, sexual abuse, exploitation of minors, transportation of minors and other individuals for the purpose of engaging in illegal sexual activity, production of
child pornography, and forced labor, and other crimes.

Earlier this week, R. Kelly, born Robert Sylvester Kelly, suffered a major setback. His longtime attorneys Steve Greenberg and Michael Leonard resigned – or fired – from representing the singer during his trial, which will start on August 9 in New York.

Greenberg, Leonard, and the remaining attorneys representing R. Kelly differed as to who should be trying the singer, resulting in their departure from the legal team.

“We refused to try a case with lawyers who don’t have the appropriate level of experience and skill because that is not in the client’s best interest. It is a shame that lawyers can’t suppress their own egos or self-interest and do or act in the client’s best interest,” Greenberg and Leonard said in a statement.

Kim Kardashian Divorcing Kanye West To Find “True Happiness”

Kim Kardashian ended her marriage to Kanye West because she wanted to experience “total happiness.”

The 40-year-old star announced in February that she had split from the rapper after almost seven years of marriage and she revealed seeing a therapist made her understand she wasn’t satisfied with their relationship anymore.

In “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” scenes filmed in October that aired on Thursday, Kim told her mom Kris Jenner: “I just want total happiness.

“Obviously, I know complete bliss is not a full reality but if I can have it more the majority of the time, that’s all I want to do. Wherever that takes me I just want my pure happiness, so that’s what I’m working on: figuring out how to get there.

“I just feel I’ve worked so hard in life to achieve everything that I wanted to and I lived up to my expectations and achieved 10 times more than I even thought was humanly possible but I don’t have a life to share that with.”

Kim – who shares children North, seven, Saint, five, Chicago, three and two-year-old Psalm with Kanye – admitted turning 40 made her examine her life and realize she wasn’t happy about the fact she and the Stronger hitmaker were leading separate lives as she was still based in California while he was living on their ranch in Wyoming.

“I never thought I was lonely, and I always thought that’s totally fine, I can just have my kids, my husband moves from state to state and I’m on this ride with him and I was OK with that,” she said.

“And then after turning 40 this year I realized, no, I don’t want a husband that lives in a completely different state to me. I thought, ‘oh my God, that’s when we’re getting along the best’.

“But that is sad to me and that’s not what I want. I want someone that we have the same shows in common. I want someone that wants to work out with me.

“Like every single day Khloe (Kardashian) and Tristan (Thompson) and I would work out at 6am three of us and I was third-wheeling it for a good eight months in quarantine, and I was so envious of that.”

Although Kim was grateful for the “extravagant” experiences she enjoyed with Kanye, she explained she is now ready for the “smaller experiences that I think will mean a lot”.

And when Kris grew emotional, Kim tried to reassure her.

“I’m numb like, I’m tired of that, but I do know that I will be happy. I didn’t come this far just to come this far, and not be happy,” she said.

Lori Harvey Explains How She Ignores Future’s Attacks

Lori Harvey has had a string of consensual relationships and for the most part they have been mature.

While many have been devastated after breakups (some mad salty), no one has been as disrespectful as her ex-beau, rapper Future.

On an unreleased version of “Holiday” by 42 Dugg, Future spits a rhyme that targeted Harvey’s uber-popular and rich step-pop saying, “Tell Steve Harvey I don’t want her.”

What was meant to embarrass her, possibly because she moved on or possibly because still has been calling him, actually gave her fuel to check his weird-making-babies-and-not-claiming-or-paying-child-support ass in the classiest way.

She doesn’t say anything. Why? Hit dogs holler.

Instead, she mentions, in a new Bustle article, that she is focused on vibrating higher and not being public about conflict her in her life.

“I think they get from me that I try to just not let any type of negativity or rumors or anything like that make me stoop down to that level and go back and forth with it or whatever,” Lori Harvey said. “Just maintain my position of I know who I am, I know what’s going on.”

“I just try to stay up here and take the high road in every situation,” she continued. “So I think that would probably be what they get from me because I am private, so I like to just give enough.”

Is Pooh Shiesty On Suicide Watch?

Pooh Shiesty.

Pooh Shiesty.

Pooh Shiesty is one of the hottest rappers out right now. I am not familiar with his work, but younger people are. One thing I do know is that he cannot seem to stay out of trouble. Pooh allegedly shot somebody at King of Diamonds over the Memorial Day weekend at a strip club in Miami. The 21-year old now sits in a Miami-Dade jail on an aggravated battery charge. Pooh reportedly shot a security guard in the leg and then went for a walk outside. Well, they caught up with him rather quickly.

HERE IS THE RUMOR.

There’s a rumor it says that homeboy is possibly suicidal. There has been no grand revelation on that just as yet, but some people are speculated that they are preemptive moves being made. Apparently there’s a certain type of prison suit that is assigned to people that are high risk or likely to commit suicide while in jail. And that is what they have put him in. Now, again that could be a preemptive move to make sure that he is flagged as someone as such. They also say that celebrities may be flagged “just in case.” At any rate, it just seems like he may be in some form of jeopardy. If that man is willing the bus is gone out here in the world, and allegedly shoot someone, then he should be OK in the Bing after a few days. Certainly I hope he’s innocent and certainly I hope he does not commit suicide.

By the way, there’s a man that shot a six-year-old kid that happens to be Asian. The kids survived, but the man is already out of jail on bond pending the trial. How in the world did he manage to get out of jail so quickly and so cheaply? I’m not suggesting in any way shape or form that Pooh Shiesty should be out of jail, but I am saying that that man that shot that little kid should be in a jail or perhaps under one. Or maybe even dead. Ha ha Ha ha ha! Just kidding!

Kanye West Ditches The Kardashian Clan On Social Media

Kanye West seems to not have only divorced his famous ex-wife, Kim Kardashian but has severed ties with her celebrity sisters also.

At least … social media ties.

Days after his birthday, it has been discovered that the “Gold Digger” rapper has unfollowed the other Kardashians and Jenners on Twitter https://twitter.com/kanyewest/following.

This comes days after social media made a big deal about Khloé wishing her former brother-in-law a “Happy Birthday.”

On Instagram, the youngest of the Robert Kardashian daughters posted a picture of the two couples (she and Tristan and Kimye) in the ocean.

It was captioned, “Happy birthday to my brother for life!!! Have the best birthday Ye! Sending you love and endless blessings!! 🤍”

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Khloé Kardashian (@khloekardashian)

Her sister Kim cosigned it with a red balloon, but fans went ham.

Many believed that it was inappropriate for her to say anything to Kanye since he and her sibling are broken up. If you know anything about Khloé, the clap back was inevitable.

“Why are you even commenting on something you know nothing about? You don’t think me and my sister’s talk about one another’s feelings? We are with one another every day. This is MY FAMILY. Not yours! Don’t comment as if you in the know unless you are actually in the know. Weirdo!!”

Kanye has not weighed in at all … outside of unfollowing them.

He seems to have moved on with a new love, model Irina Shayk with whom he is currently vacationing in Provence, France.

Though he has unfollowed the reality show clan, some things have stayed the same.

Yeezy is following only one person in IG, and that’s his baby mama. And she is still following him. She even wished him the happiest of birthdays on the social media platform.

“Happy Birthday Love U for Life! 🎈”

They got the cash the cars the women. You got the Offset and Cardi B situation, you had the Saweetie and Quavo drama and Takeoff mostly just stays out of the way like a Ringo Starr.  But, regardless of the drama and relationships, these fellas came with a solid effort for Culture III. Sound off below and comment with your thoughts!

Saweetie Explains Why She Never Violated Her “Morals” When She Was Broke

Rising rapper Saweetie has no problem rejecting lucrative offers in order to maintain her morals and integrity.

The “Tap In” hitmaker recalled a time when she was given the chance to make some big money, but it required her to “violate” her values, and she was unwilling to compromise them.

She shared: “When you are a young woman in L.A., sometimes you’re put in situations that can help you financially but will take a jab at your soul, your body.

“I remember basically just having the opportunity to get some money, but in doing so I would have violated my morals and my values. I was broke but I was like, I will never do anything to disrespect myself… no matter how desperate I get.”

Saweetie stopped short of sharing specifics about the situation, but told Teen Vogue: “That’s a story within itself, but I think it was a moment where I was like, ‘It’s OK. You’ll eventually get what you want out of life as long as you’re praying and working hard.'”

Now things are on the up and up for the rapper, who split from Migos star Quavo earlier this year, and she is optimistic about the future after settling into a new home.

“I just got a new place. I feel refreshed. I feel like it’s a new chapter. I just want to be a good person and help people while being a pretty ass b####,” she smiled.

Polo G Releases Triumphant ‘Hall of Fame’ Album

Today Chicago bred rapper Polo G has released his highly publicized new project Hall of Fame via Columbia Records. With his viral single, “Rapstar” earning the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, it’s no surprise that this is one of the most hyped projects of 2021 so far. You have to say that it’s a sign of the times when the lead single to 2021’s most popular rap song, “Rapstar” was birthed out a viral moment that got millions of views on IG and TikTok, but it works for Polo G and the fans love it.Collaborating with social media personality Einer Bankz the two took to Instagram to release a snippet of “Rapstar,”  it found its way to TikTok and the rest is history.

From “Rockstar” to his epic song, “Gang Gang” with Lil Wayne this project his full of big features and songs that show the emotions behind battling drugs, the streets and living in a war torn city where few make it past the age of 21 due to gang violence. Silento Deemed Too Dangerous To Be Released From Prison After Allegedly Killing His Cousin

The rapper responsible for the 2015 hit song “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae),” won’t be getting out of jail no time soon.

Stone Mountain native Silento is currently incarcerated on a murder charge. He went before a Dekalb County judge during a bond hearing to petition for his release.

However, the court deemed him too mentally unstable to be let out.

Silento, whose real name is Richard Lamar “Ricky” Hawk, has a history of mental health challenges and is known not to take his meds to help regulate his psychological wellness.

The 23-year old’s lawyers acknowledge that he suffered from bipolar disorder and has been struggling for years. His lawyers also argued that he has also urged kids to say no to drugs and alcohol as a part of Georgia’s Blue Ribbon panel.

Despite this attempt, the courts ruled that for the safety of the larger public he should remain locked up, four months after initially being arrested for allegedly killing his cousin, Frederick Rooks.

It was at that time that his publicist, Chanel Hudson, asked for fans to send him “positive vibrations.”

She also called him a “beautiful soul” and stated that he and his family, during this troubling time, needed to be “lifted in prayer.”

Jana Haynes Is “Infecting Change” In Television

The business of a television executive is typically a man’s world, but as the funk legend, James Brown, stated, “It would be nothing without a woman or a girl.”

Jana Haynes, known as JP, is breaking multiple barriers and is infecting change within the realm of entertainment as the visionary of one of the first black woman-owned digital streaming platforms, Infecting Change TV, or simply ICTV.

Black women have always been in key leadership positions, and Haynes is in that number!

She has made a name for herself that still resonates beyond the reach of her small hometown in Mississippi. Inspired by her mother, who is a presiding judge, Jana’s leadership and tenacity to bring diversity and change to a stagnant industry has been anything but easy.

After many failed contracts and disappointments, Jana found success after adapting the stage play “Selma: The Untold Stories” into a mini-series for television. It was pitch meeting after pitch meeting and rejection after rejection until Jana and her team’s TV show gained the interest of well-known streaming platform executives. They quickly rejected the offer upon discovering they’d lose all ownership rights. This experience birthed the idea behind ICTV, highlighting the realization of a great disconnect between creators and Hollywood.

“I’ve wanted to quit so many times, but I know this journey isn’t only for me; it’s for all of the creatives, actors, artists and musicians who want to showcase their art without sacrificing their ownership. I’ve built my own table where others can not only sit, but OWN their seat as well,” said Haynes.

When asked about the network’s future, Jana revealed,

“IC is more than television. We have IC Broadway, IC Music, IC Films. I want kids to dream big and expose them to something they might not have had an opportunity to see growing up. I want creatives like me to know they have a home here; I believe in integrity and if I take care of those who bring their art to this platform, they’ll continue to come back again and again. Ownership over censorship.”

Breaking the mold in diversity and shifting the paradigm in media and entertainment, ICTV is certainly the streaming platform the world desperately needs.

SB SurfsUp- “The One”

SB SurfsUp has been making music and igniting movements for the past decade. His name is a combination of his former moniker, Skool Boy, which comes from his ability to school others and his desire to surf over the obstacles of life.

SB SurfsUp’s distinct sound is a blend of R&B vibes and trap music. His laser-like focus, hustle, and undeniable talent has allowed him to reach new heights and walk in the brightest of lights.

Born in Memphis, TN, SB comes from humble beginnings. As a youth he sought out music as a way to avoid the dangerous street life. He wanted something different, and his love for music drew him to the mature adult clubs where artists like Michael Jackson, Teddy Pendergrass, Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, and others were being played. For him these musical influences curated a mix of melody, harmony, and soul. He decided to see what it sounded like if he added trap, and his version of soul trap was birthed.

SB first came to prominence in 2013 with his breakout record “Be Her Man.” His hustle and unique sound lead him to gaining the attention of several record labels and ultimately signing to Asylum/Warner, and later with Drought King Music with a distribution deal with Sony/The Orchard.

The soul trap artist’s latest release is titled “The One.” Check out the video below!
