JFK Fetti shows his Lyrical Prowess in his latest release “Mood”

There is no doubt music has a profound power. It is dubbed the universal language to the soul due to its power and influence over many people. Music enables artists to express their thoughts and emotions to the rest of the world. It’s through music that the artists can communicate to and about society.

Hip-hop is one of the revolutionary music sounds with a massive fan base across the globe. This musical genre enjoys one of the most loyal fanbases. These fans are enthralled with the hip-hop sound and the artists and are always looking forward to new releases.

However, the major challenge with the genre has been on delivery. Many of the artists are capable of rapping but not everyone is capable of a clear and smooth rap delivery. Success in the hip-hop world is somehow measured by the artist’s ability to deliver and connect with their audience.

JFK Fetti, a lyrical wizard and delivery master, has taken command of the hip-hop world with his unmatched rap skills. He is considered one of the most skilled rap talents with insane vocal delivery today. JFK Fetti’s fans love him for his full of life lyrics and infectious melodies.

With several years of experience in the industry, JFK Fetti is gradually cementing his position as one of the most talented hip-hop artists to watch out for in the near future. He has made a name for himself in the hip-hop industry with his new and old, unique hip-hop sound.

JFK Fetti latest single “Mood” has a whole new vibe. The trackis a fusion of good old rap with modern beats. It’s a classical masterpiece that has distinguished the rapper from the other hip-hop artists. In the single, JFK Fetti has stretched himself to the limits, experimenting with various aspects of rap music.

From the onset, “Mood” sets a mood with its beautiful blend of past and modern sounds. The scintillating electronica and brap-brapping rap harmonies combine with dexterous lyrical flows to make the song timeless.

With the trendy drill beat, “Mood” is arguably the most dynamic hip-hop track released this year. The beat hits harder than Jake Paul and you are entertained by every aspect of this hip hop track. The lyrics will energize you, set you in the mood to explore your inner potential, or even motivate you to do a few more reps at the gym.

What’s outstanding about the single is that JFK Fetti has not only sampled the various aspects of hip hop but has echoed classic sounds of old while making music for the modern hip-hop fanbase. Cutting edge, comfortable and fresh yet familiar, Fetti produces a futuristic sound.

“Mood” by JFK Fetti is the perfect track for explosive drill music enthusiasts. Be on the watch on his next release. The track is available on JFK Fetti’s Spotify.

Walter Weekes, a Fast Rising Talent in the Music Industry

At 20 years of age, Walter Weekes is already establishing a name for himself in the highly competitive music scene. A songwriter, singer, and record producer, Weekes is moving many in the industry with his unique and raw musical talent. His lyrical prowess and captivating songs have helped him build his reputation, and he is steadily gaining massive traction among music enthusiasts across many U.S. states.

Weekes is a promising musical phenomenon working to find his niche in the music industry, learning, and getting a better understanding of the industry’s dynamics. His passion and love for music have driven him to unlock his potential. A multi-talented individual, Weekes is also exemplary in music production. He possesses unmatched skills in his approaches to production, which highlights his musical ability.

Weekes was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, one of the musical cities in the U.S.. From a young age, Weekes shared a passion for music. He loved singing along to melodies and any good music that caught his attention, a habit he has never lost. Music sounded magical to him, and all he wanted to be was a musician. In high school, Weekes spent most of his free time writing music and singing for his friends who eagerly listened to his songs.

Right from high school, Weekes was sure that he wanted to pursue music. Growing up in a city with a massive pool of award-winning music talents and recording personalities also played a significant role in nurturing his talent. There were lots of talented musicians to look up to and also to learn from.

However, growing up in such an environment, it was not a walk in the park to enter the music scene. He has faced numerous challenges and obstacles in his musical journey. He came from a humble background where things were tough. There were days his family would sleep hungry or sleep out in the cold after being thrown out of their rented house. As the firstborn in a family of 4, he had to do manual jobs most evenings to help support his family as well as keep himself in school until he finished. Being a singer in a hip-hop-dominated city made it hard for him to feature in the limelight. All attention seemed to be on the buzzing hip-hop scene, but he did not relent.

Instead, he capitalized on his creativity to create his unique musical sound that is a fusion of soft rock and jazz with a special hip-hop touch. Essentially, the widespread hip-hop culture in Atlanta somehow influenced his decision to feature rap in his songs. He wanted to create a unique sound for a broader music audience.

His inspiration comes from some of the most prominent names in the industry: Lionel Richie, Fetty Wap, Toni Braxton, and UB40, the legendary English band.

Weekes is still an independent artist, working hard to push his music. It’s just amazing how he has been able to break through the industry as an independent artist and gain visibility. For many artists, working under a music label is the perfect way to be introduced to the industry. And it can be a challenging journey working as an independent artist.

The future is bright for Weekes as he aspires to establish his own record label. He wants to scale his career as a musician and also diversify as a music producer. A record label will help him exploit the full potential of his music production skills.

There is undoubtedly more to come from Weekes, and he promises his fans that he will continue to amaze them.

SGE Kash: Here To Represent For Baltimore

SGE Kash describes himself in one word: rare. Hailing from East Baltimore, the rising star is the definition of someone who came from the trenches and turned his life around for the better, using music as his therapy and escape from reality. At only 19 years old, the singer, songwriter, and rapper is determined to become a household name… and he’s well on his way.

Releasing his debut EP titled Urban Legend speaks for itself, spearheaded by lead singles “Endless Pain,” “Who’s Bad,” and “Drippy.” His lyrics are inspired by real-life experiences, similar to the artists he grew up listening to such as Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, and Young Scooter.

Raised by a single mother who supported him and his two siblings on her own, it was his older brother’s run-ins with the law that pushed Kash to shift his entire focus to the music.

Fast forward to today, Kash has since won the WorldStar $100K competition, and even collaborated with Toosii on “Romantic.” Kash is here to let his music speak for himself.

AllHipHop: What was it like growing up in East Baltimore?

SGE Kash: Same sh-t, different city. It’s cutthroat, but there’s some hope there. There’s some promise there.

AllHipHop: What was a young Kash like growing up there?

SGE Kash: Lost. Lost, lost, and dumb. I wasn’t dumb, but you know…i wasnt giving a f###, no logic, you feel me?

AllHipHop: Do you remember when you fell in love with music?

SGE Kash: Since before I could remember, I was Young. My mother told me I started walking to a 50 Cent song.i gravitated to this thing called music.

AllHipHop: At what point did you realize you could pursue music as a career?

SGE Kash: I didn’t, until I found my purpose. Music is my purpose. I’d say that it was around 2 years ago, 3 years now. I hit Instagram with it. The s### I’d be doing if you were around me, like the regular lil freestyles, playing around, f-cking around for Instagram. As I started getting moving, a lot of sh-t started happening. All the blessings, that sh-t came down, then it became a whole other passion. I took that s### serious, life made me that that sh-t serious.

AllHipHop: Did something happen…?

SGE Kash: Life! Ups and downs, all that sh-t. Everything, just life.

AllHipHop: What’d it mean to win the WorldStar $100K competition?

SGE Kash: Man, it was crazy. The acknowledgment was crazy. The acknowledgment was beautiful

SGE Kash: Hell yeah, I got bigger dreams though. I want to be the best version of myself and all this is what comes wit it.

AllHipHop: What are your bigger dreams?

SGE Kash: I want to be the best. Being the best me and knowing myself for real, because I could have a big impact. I’m not talking about just music, but people, life, everything.

AllHipHop: How is music a coping mechanism for you?

SGE Kash: It’s therapy for real. If you’re around me, you see my social side. Other than that, I‘m socially awkward. I don’t like to talk, so music really be that. I mean I talk, but it’s my language. It’s me, that sh-t is me. I didn’t realize it, but I was born ready for that sh-t.

AllHipHop: How was it linking with Toosii on “Romantic”?

SGE Kash: We were in Raleigh, North Carolina. We shot the video, the vibes were lit. He’s cool as sh-t. Workflow was lit. We’re vibing, it was like I knew him already for real. The process of it and the energy of it, I knew it was going to come out to be something great. F-cking with it.

AllHipHop: How did that collab happen?

SGE Kash: My peoples knew his peoples, and they connected us, and we made it happen.

AllHipHop: New single “Nasty B######” arriving July 30th, what can we expect?

SGE Kash: A whole lot of crazy sh-t. I’m trying to set the summer up forreal. Sh-t, we were in Atlanta. Got to lock in with 2 producers: Chichi and section 8. It was lit. I was drunk. [laughs] We were in Atlanta, it was litty.

AllHipHop: Where do you stay at?

SGE Kash: Baltimore, I’m still in my home city.

AllHipHop: How’s your hometown presence compared to elsewhere?

SGE Kash: Man, I feel it. I get to talk to people. I get to interact with them because I know them, I’m familiar with them. It’s the love. Ain’t nothing like the love you do get from them, [compared to] the love from anywhere else. Even though it’s mainly hate, the loe you do get, keep it close .

AllHipHop: Being only 19, what do you like to do for fun?

SGE Kash: Sh-t, everything. I like music, and my son. I’m just living.

AllHipHop: How old is your son? How’s fatherhood been?

SGE Kash: One. [It’s been] crazy, but I like it for real. I could put a couple of words together, but it’s everything. At the same time, it’s a different love. A different understanding, it’s a different outlook on everything.

AllHipHop: How did it change your outlook?

SGE Kash: Life in general, it’s another purpose. It’s everything.

AllHipHop: What’s the inspiration behind your compilation, LoVe Velli? There’s Bad Summer, Loverboy, and Heartbreak

SGE Kash: It takes you through a journey for real. I’m dropping a series, with 5 songs each series. Each 5 songs, it’s a different thing, different vibe, different feel. This summer, I’m on some ratchet sh-t. Not going to lie.

AllHipHop: What’s your favorite part?

SGE Kash: I love them all. It’s a different feel. You go through heartbreak, you go through love, you go through all the changes of life. Everything.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?

SGE Kash: Water, weed, and a mic. That’s it, I don’t need nothing else. I came to make music, I don’t need no other sh-t.

AllHipHop: Anyone you want to collab with?

SGE Kash: Tory Lanez, Rihanna, Wayne, There’s a lot. I love this sh-t, I love the culture. I love all of this sh-it, it’s a lot. I want them all to be really meaningful. If it happens, it happens.

AllHipHop: Goals yourself as an artist at this point of your career?

SGE Kash: I want to be the best version of me for real. All the other awards and the “approval” is going to come with it. It’s going to come with it if I’m being the best artist that I can be: the Grammys, the BETs, the performances, all that.

AllHipHop: Something that fans may not know about you?

SGE Kash: I don’t like amusement parks. Nah, I don’t like rollercoasters. I don’t f-ck with heights. I don’t like heights. [laughs] I like music for real. I like being in the studio geeked, that’s what I like.

AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let us know?

SGE Kash: July 30th, “Nasty B######.” I’ll let the music talk.

City of Selma is Lifted in New Civil Rights Movie, ‘Through Her Eyes’

Selma, Alabama is the setting for many accounts of America’s Civil Rights era. The greatest one that is often recalled is the cross its bridge and legendary conflict that almost left our great leader John Lewis bloodied and close to death.

Through Her Eyes, though fictional, takes its audience on a familiar trip towards justice. The film shadows the Wimbush family as they work to get their Black 15-year-old daughter into an all-white high school.

The lead character, played by Rayven Simone Ferrell, is Rosalee who comes of age right before everyone’s eyes. The shy girl is forced into the movement, by bravely becoming one of her city’s first trailblazers, leaping over hurdles set before her by racist adults trying to maintain the purity of their school.

Ferrell might be recognized from several other films such as  All Eyez on Me and The Bobby Brown Story.

Written and directed by filmmaker Trent Lumpkin, Align Entertainment, LLC., Triauric, in partnership with 1091 Pictures, the indie film has received raved reviews and featured as one of USA Today’s Summer of 2021 Movie Picks.

“I wanted people to experience what Rosalee had to go through simply for wanting to better herself,” Lumpkin said. “History is not Fiction …  If we’re going to create a better future, we have to learn from our past.”

Through Her Eyes is currently available on multiple digital platforms, including Amazon Prime.

Lil Durk To Make Some Big Changes In OTF!

Lil Durk is making some BIG changes. As you already know, Lil Durk and his girlfriend were involved in a shoot out after some men tried to run up in his house in a home invasion. Luckily, both Dirk and his girl India were well equipped and blasted back fending off the attack. I guess they are in it for life at this point.

It looks like the OTF crew is going to be going through some major changes, as Durk has reportedly kicked people out of the collective to remove snakes from the camp. Lil Durk posted a cryptic message that wasn’t so cryptic. Here it is:

And here’s another one:

Basically, what I am hearing is that Durk and the close pals are tired of dealing with the beefs and conflicts of those that are not that closely affiliated with the OTF crew. They also have apparently started issues with opps out of nowhere. However, Lil Durk and them have to deal with it as if those people put in work in the crew. Essentially, Durk is learning some tough lessons that a lot of rappers have to go through as they grow and expand their respective brands and terrain in this game. Jay Z had to do it, Nas had to do it, Snoop Dogg had to do it, and just about every other superstar in Hip-Hop had to part ways with members of their family, crew, or even neighborhood homies. That’s just the way it goes! And if you don’t know how to act, you already know it’s going down.

As you already know, Lil Durk rolls very deep when he’s out here, sometimes 100 guys are with him. And anytime you have that many people with you, especially if they are cut from a particular cloth, that is going to lead to problems every time. So, as it relates to the home invasion, it is not strange that it is being seen as an inside job. Betrayal is a whole b#tch! One would expect it to be an inside job! Durk was really putting folks on notice with that message, because it could’ve been a very quiet and private maneuver. He was letting the world know that people are getting their walking papers.

Jason Lee Accuses Karen Civil Of Paying A 17-Year-Old Hacker To Take Down His Blog

Hollywood Unlocked founder Jason Lee had a lot to say on the latest episode of his Gagging internet show. In particular, the former Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood cast member took aim at Karen Civil for allegedly using a teenage hacker to attack his outlet.

“When Karen Civil was running around talking about ‘Black excellence’ and supporting Black women and Black people and being all ‘Black’ and running around here trying to garner respect from m############, Karen Civil was also the same m########### paying people to hack Hollywood Unlocked, trying to put my Black employees out of business,” said Jason Lee on his YouTube channel.

The California-bred media personality also stated, “[Karen Civil] paid this 17-year-old and told him she was going to put him in the rap game. The reason why I found out is because she lied to him and then he called me. But guess what? I want to interview that kid now.”

The apparent bad blood between Jason Lee and Karen Civil stems from the longstanding feud between Hip Hop artists Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. Jason Lee is a friend and supporter of Cardi B, and Karen Civil was heavily involved in promoting Nicki Minaj.

“Karen goes to work for Nicki Minaj in the social media world, trying to get the blogs to talk about her. Karen called me and said, ‘If you post these positive things about Nicki, she’ll like all your stuff and comment on your page,'” stated Lee. “I’m like, ‘What the f### is a comment and like going to do?’ I’m not f###### doing that because Nicki’s paying you to make the blogs speak for her. F### that! I said, ‘No.'”

Previously, Nicki Minaj’s ex-boyfriend, Meek Mill, also blamed Karen Civil for being involved in Minaj allegedly paying blogs like Baller Alert to post negative stories about him. In 2017, the Philadelphia-raised rhymer wrote on Instagram, “By the way Karen, I got the tapes of ya corny ass saying Nicki paying y’all for this geek s###.”

Karen Civil responded, “It’s a business. Websites, blogs, Instagram – all these things are businesses. I’m not going to stop Meek from doing anything or be a part of trying to harm him. Anything people have been posting about him, it’s things that he posted on his own page.”

In addition, Jason Lee mentioned Harlem rap star Cam’ron having a problem with Karen Civil in the past. Back in 2016, Cam alleged Civil stole $60,000 from fellow Diplomats member DukeDaGod. That accusation was a response to Karen Civil publicly stating the “Oh Boy” emcee’s beef with Jay-Z was partially over a parking space at the Def Jam label offices. Cam’ron insisted that story about Jay-Z was untrue.

The latest edition of Gagging also included Jason Lee saying, “And [Nicki Minaj,] you’re letting these loser-ass b###### ruin your relationship with a n#### like me, the king of this m###########. People like Karen Civil who prey on 17-year-olds’ hopes and dreams of becoming rappers.”

Lee continued, “This kid cried on the phone because he thought [Karen Civil] was going to get him a record deal and get him out of the ghetto… She lied to him and took his $20,000 and never called him back. I saw all the receipts and got them all.”

Snoh Aalegra Addresses Debate Over Her Ethnicity & Nationality

Singer/songwriter Snoh Aalegra appears to be tired of social media users constantly questioning her ethnic background. The Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies album creator took to Twitter to address the situation.

“I’m just seeing the usual bi-weekly debate on Twitter about my ethnicity. My heritage and bloodline is not a philosophical topic. I have hard facts for you all,” tweeted Snoh Aalegra on July 19.

The No I.D. protégé added, “I am 100% IRANIAN, I am a part of the population from south of Iran where people have darker complexion. I was born and raised in Sweden as a second-generation immigrant. I have zero Swedish blood but I do consider myself Swedish since that is the country I grew up in. 🙏🏼.”

Snoh Aalegra was born in Sweden to Persian parents. She was raised in the Swedish cities of Enköping and Stockholm. The R&B vocalist, now based in Los Angeles, was signed to her first label deal at the age of 14 before later joining the ARTium Records roster.

“[In Sweden] it’s ingrained in our minds from an early age that you’re not allowed to compete and think you’re better than anyone. At least, you’re not allowed to verbalize it,” Snoh Aalegra explained to AllHipHop.com back in 2014.

The “Bad Things” performer continued, “So that was a thing that really hit me in the face when I came to the States where everybody has this different attitude like ‘I’m the s###.’ They really show it. I walk in a room kind of reserved, and people are like, ‘What’s wrong with you? Why aren’t you owning it?’ Swedish people are reserved and maybe more humble than people over here in the States.”

Swizz Beatz To Lead Special DMX Tribute At Summer Jam 2021

Hot 97’s Summer Jam is back after missing a year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The upcoming Hip Hop concert will include a tribute to the late legendary emcee Earl “DMX” Simmons who passed away on April 9.

“Hot 97 Summer Jam is traditionally the official start of summer, but this year it’s the official return of Hip Hop,” said Ebro Darden, host of Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning radio show.

Darden added, “We’re excited to present historic live performances for the culture and make iconic historic moments in Hip Hop.”

Longtime DMX friend/collaborator Swizz Beatz will be leading the performance at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on August 22. The other official performers for that particular set have not been announced.

Swizz Beatz, The Lox, Method Man, Busta Rhymes, Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher, Conway The Machine, and Michael K. Williams honored DMX at the 2021 BET Awards. They ran through DMX songs such as “Get at Me Dog,” “Slippin’,” and “Party Up (Up in Here).”

DaBaby, Migos, Meek Mill, MoneyBagg Yo, Polo G, CJ, Saweetie, Rowdy Rebel, and Bobby Shmurda are listed on the Summer Jam bill. New York City-bred rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is set to close out the event.

“We definitely gonna show up to Summer Jam. I normally wouldn’t speak on my brother’s behalf, but I know my brother ain’t gonna miss Summer Jam. Certain things are just mandatory… and Summer Jam is mandatory,” declared Rowdy Rebel in February.

The Summer Jam Festival Village stage will present performances by Roc Marciano, Sleepy Hallow, Dream Doll, Coi Leray, Yung Bleu, Morray, and more. Additionally, Brooklyn’s Fivio Foreign also hinted that he could be part of this year’s Summer Jam.

“I need to be on Summer Jam. I need [the] main stage. I need lit. I need turn up. This is what I need to do,” Fivio Foreign told Hot 97’s DJ Drewski earlier this month.

The original Jackass television show ran on MTV from 2000 to 2002. Paramount Pictures is set to release Jackass Forever on October 22 after being delayed last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fifth film in the Jackass franchise follows 2002’s Jackass: The Movie, 2006’s Jackass Number Two, 2008’s Jackass Presents: Mat Hoffman’s Tribute to Evel Knievel, 2010’s Jackass 3D, and 2013’s Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa.

The Jackass Forever trailer has amassed more than 1 million views on Steve-O’s verified YouTube channel. Plus, Tyler, The Creator shared the teaser on his Instagram Story.

Besides Tyler, The Creator showing up in the latest Jackass motion picture, the Odd Future founding member recently let loose his Call Me If You Get Lost album on June 25. The project debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Kanye West Previews ‘Donda’ Song “No Child Left Behind” In Beats Ad

It looks like Kanye West season is almost here. The Chicago-raised Hip Hop recording artist is set to release his next studio LP, Donda, this Friday (July 23).

Kanye West teased his fans on what to expect from the project. A new Beats Studio Buds commercial features the song “No Child Left Behind” off the Donda album.

U.S. track and field star Sha’Carri Richardson stars in the video. The ad ends with an announcement about the “Donda Listening Event” taking place on Thursday at 8 pm ET on Apple Music.

Reports of a Kanye West body of work dropping in the near future began circulating earlier this week. On July 18, Respectfully Justin show host Justin Laboy posted about attending a listening party for Donda.

“Kanye [West’s] album is really done. When it drops this week, we probably not going to listen to anything else for a while. Let me go enjoy all the current [artists] I’m listening to until then. God bless ✌🏾#Respectfully,” tweeted Justin Laboy.

There were then rumors that Kanye West dissed his estranged wife Kim Kardashian on a Donda track titled “Welcome To My Life.” However, sources associated with the Yeezy brand founder claimed West did not refer to his marriage as being in a prison.

“Kanye actually played the song for Kim personally before the listening party,” stated an alleged insider connected to Kanye West. “It’s emotional and personal. Not negative at all.”

Najim Mollou Shares Why He Became A Musician

“Music is my best friend”, Najim says whenever someone asks him the reason behind his career. For Najim, music was never just a profession or a job. It was his passion. It was a way for Najim to express himself. And most importantly, it was something that always had his back no matter what.

Just like every other child, he dreamed of becoming famous for what he did. He found his passion in music. The music industry was a source of comfort to Najim where artists inspired him to do better. Every time he couldn’t understand anything and needed a break, he would play some music and just quietly listen to it. And luckily after a while, he would be able to gather his emotions and see things from a different perspective. At times when he had a tiring or difficult day at school, music would be there for him on the ride back.

Whenever he felt bored during math homework, the idea of listening and practicing music once he had completed his work motivated him to perform better and quicker. As Najim states, “I could look up to music to help me out whenever I needed something. It was there 24/7. Right by my side.” Thus, in a nutshell, Najim knew that whenever he needed something or someone, music would be there by his side.

Najim had a very different perspective from other artists when it came to making music. He believed that music was a special art that needed full attention because it serves a different purpose to every individual who listens to it. Tory Lanez Says He Was “Framed” In Megan Thee Stallion Shooting

Tory Lanez dropped a Funkmaster Flex freestyle on Hot 97 on Monday that addressed the Megan thee Stallion shooting controversy.

The Canadian rapper spit his rap to vindicate himself (again) publicly and throw a little dirt on his ex-girl’s name.

He shouted in his five-minute freestyle, “On Twitter, ‘Oh he canceled,’ now I’m back here.”

“Shout out to DaBaby, Roddy Ricch, and Lil Baby/What I’m about to say is gon’ sound a little crazy/but it’s true so don’t flame me /Y’all all would have got your awards if they didn’t frame me,” he rhymed.

According to his logic, during the last award season, those three artists lost their biggest nominations (i.e., GRAMMYS, American Music Awards, iHeartRadio, BET and more) because they all had songs with the “What’s Poppin” rapper.

DaBaby was also featured on Jack Harlow’s “What’s Poppin” with Tory Lanez in 2020, as well as the troubled artist’s freshly dropped “SKAT” single.

The video is slow-moving and though it was released a month ago, despite having those two big names, has only garnered a little under half a million views.

Lil Baby appears with Chris Brown and Tory Lanez on the 2018 song, “FlEXiBle.”

While there is no official song with Roddy Ricch and Lanez, there is a popular mashup on the ‘net to the Nipsey Hussle protégé’s song “Ricch Forever” that includes “Watch for Your Soul.”

In a comment that has since been deleted (but snapped by The Shade Room), Roddy Ricch said, “You can’t bite no harder than this. I thought you was better than this.”

Back then, Tory Lanez responded.

“I made this song about my dead homie … Idgaf what y’all n##### is talking bout right now . It really means nothing .. I went on @roddyricch beat cuz I got luv for his music.”

“And his song . I even did certain things in the song to pay tribute/homage to his song and show love .. not for y’all to tell me Im biting someone who ain’t been in the game making PLATINUM records with THIS style for even half the time I have …. One thing I want y’all to stop doing tho . Is acting as if my voice ain’t been the same for the last 9 years .. and that I don’t play a part in a lot of these new n##### sounds and styles . First time I met him he told me I inspired him . Y’all n##### can be funny man . But f### it … let’s just enjoy the music …”

Tory’s freestyle seems sparked some attention. For the most part, people believe that it is fuego.

“I was havin a f##### up morning, but that s### don’t even matter now @torylanez These bars lifted my WHOLE spirit”

Some also think that he should stop worrying about Megan and other rappers and focus on hair care.

“Tory Lanez keep on talking about Megan he need to worry about his quick weave not falling out how you been in the music industry for 10+ years ain’t got no hit song or awards”

Ex-Drug Dealer White Boy Rick Sues The FBI For $100 Million For Ruining His Life

White Boy Rick, the drug-dealing-child informant to the feds from the late 80s, is now suing the FBI agents and Detroit police.

Richard Wershe Jr., the young man who made history as the longest-serving nonviolent juvenile offender in Michigan history, served 32 years for his sentence for trafficking in 1987 when he was 17.

A movie about his life starring Matthew McConaughey showcased his life.

Wershe, now 52-years-old, filed his lawsuit asking for $100 million in damages insisting that he was coerced as a kid to snitch.

His attorneys at Ayad Law, PLLC released in a statement, “Having worked undercover for the FBI and Detroit Police starting as a child at the tender age of 14, Wershe is the youngest FBI informant in this history of this nation.”

In 1988, their client was sentenced to life in prison under Michigan’s “650-Lifer Law.” This anti-drug dealing law was a statute that basically mandated that if you were in possession of more than 650 grams of cocaine or heroin, you would be sentenced to life in prison without parole.

The remarks continued, “The government used Wershe as a child from age 14 to 16, putting him amongst gangsters, killers, drug dealers and thrust him into the world of drug trafficking, and then all turned on him to cover up the illegal and embarrassing nature of their conduct.”

Wershe, despite the law he was sentenced under, was paroled in 2017. He was then turned over to U.S. Marshals and sent to Florida for a crime he committed in 2006 while locked up.

According to him, he and his sister and mom were involved with an illegal operation that dealt with stolen cars. He took the wrap so that his family members would not go down.

At a press conference on Tuesday, July 20, Wershe personalized his lawyer’s statement for the public on his lawsuit regarding his original case.

He said, “The justice system hasn’t been fair to me over the last 33 years. I’m hoping now that this is the last book, where I can close this chapter, go on with my life. But I think this needed to be done. I think the truth absolutely needed to be told. I think the people that did this to me need to be held accountable.

“I’m not blaming the people that are in office now. I’m not blaming the U.S. Attorney’s office that’s here now. I’m blaming the people from the past, the people that did it to me — the retired FBI agents, the retired (Detroit Police Department) officials, the retired U.S. attorney that released my grand jury testimony,” he concluded.

Wershe filed the lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Eastern District. He was released from prison after serving over three decades in prison, compromising more than half of his life.

This story is developing.

Jon Boogz Lil Buck & Samantha Long Speak On Dance Competition At Lil Wayne’s UPROAR Festival In L.A.

It’s almost that time!

The UPROAR HIP HOP FESTIVAL is slated to take over The Torch at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on August 13th, headlined by Lil Wayne, Young Money, and surprise guest performers.

The first of its kind, the one-day festival will be livestreamed worldwide via official partner Mandolin, producing an immersive and interactive experience for all those attending physically, as well as those who can watch from the comfort of their own home.

Beyond the all-star performances, there will be an official UPROAR Dance Competition, with choreographer and movement coaches Samantha Long, Lil Buck and Jon Boogz.

The competition is open to anyone in California or those willing to travel to the Golden State, entering to show off their dance moves to audiences worldwide and a chance to win $5K in prize money. This aligns directly with Lil Wayne and his lifestyle brand GKUA’s ongoing mission to discover and support creators and talented artists, creating life-changing opportunities while supporting up and coming dancers.

AllHipHop: First off, introduce yourselves for those who don’t know.

Samantha: I’m a choreographer, dancer, and movement coach and owner of A THREAT, which started off as a dance studio in North Hollywood and is now a full-on media company for women and allies of women. I’m super excited to be a part of this project, and can’t wait for the festival to start.

Jon: I’m a director, dancer, choreographer, writer, and producer. I do a lot of different things, I wear many hats. I’m looking forward to the festival. I’m happy that UPROAR, Lil Wayne, and their whole team are giving a platform for dancers. Dancers are always low on the totem pole when it comes to artistry and things of that nature. It’s really great when other artists recognize the difficulty of the craft that we do and try to give it as much prestige and respect as it deserves, because it deserves to be up there with every other art that exists on the planet.

Lil Buck: I’m a dancer, movement artist, producer, and choreographer. I’m happy to be on this call with all of you lovely people.

AllHipHop: How did each of you get into dance?

Samantha: I got into dance when I was about 4 years old. I grew up in a little town called Fisherville, Tennessee right outside of Memphis. I started with classical training first, more into ballet and contemporary. When I turned 7, I started training in other styles like hip-hop. It has been my passion and love ever since, it has really changed my life. I’m doing a lot of different things in my career now, but it’ll always be the heart and soul of who I am. .

Jon: I started off dancing when I was really really young, before I was 10 years old. My mother used to have these VHS tapes of Michael Jackson’s movie Moonwalker and The Making of ‘Thriller’. She’d put those tapes on for me to try to keep me busy. Michael Jackson tapes were babysitting me in a way, I became obsessed with how he moved. My uncle schooled me on how Michael’s style was called poppin’, had a bunch of these old Soul Train videos from legendary street dance groups like The Lockers and The Electric Boogaloos, all these icons that helped Michael. Icons who taught Michael.

I was very lucky to have an uncle that knew his stuff already, and introduced me to the iconic street dance groups when I was very young. I became obsessed with it, it has become the pillar of who I am as an artist now. I’m always constantly trying to take dance, particularly street dance and dances from Black and Brown communities to the next level. That’s always been the fabric of who I am. It started really young with an obsession with Michael and Michael introducing me to the pioneers of these dances, then me trying to find myself through those art forms.

Lil Buck: I’m from Memphis, Tennessee. I was raised there, I was born in Chicago and my family moved to Memphis when I was very young. This is when I stumbled across Memphis Jookin, a style that’s very native to the city culture of Memphis. It was the diamond in the rough for me. I’ve always been deeply inspired by Michael Jackson, I thought he was the pinnacle. This was before YouTube, before we could see what else was going on out there in the world. My family was too poor, we didn’t have a television so I couldn’t watch Soul Train, I had to use my imagination.

We’d stumble across these old VHS tapes of Michael Jackon. My older sister and I loved the way Michael Jackson moved so we religiously watched these tapes until we learned all his tour choreography. This is how I grew that love of dance. We didn’t have a lot of toys to play with, keep us busy or to inspire us, so watching my older sister in love with dance and loving what she did so much helped grow my passion and love for dance. I always thought of Michael Jackson as this mythical being that nobody could move like. You had to be at a certain level in life. Where I was in life, I didn’t see myself being there for awhile, I just appreciated it so much.

Moving to Memphis as a young kid, and then to be able to see these kids out there dancing like professionals was inspiring! Back then, we were wearing baggy jeans and big baggy tall t-shirts. Seeing these kids dressing like me, looking like me, and being able to move and glide and slide across concrete like it was nothing. Moving just as good as Michael Jackson in the parking lot, it was amazing to see. Especially Memphis Jookin and that street dance vernacular coming out of that city, I made it my mission to learn this because it was something accessible for me. I knew if I was to get in touch with the right person here or just living in the city, it’s deeply rooted in the culture so it becomes a part of your life. Whether you’re a spectator or you want to indulge into it, I had to be a part of that Memphis culture. I learned as much as I could and stuck with it for a long time, still doing it to this day.

AllHipHop: How did you all get involved with the UPROAR Hip Hop Festival?

Lil Buck: The UPROAR Festival is being presented by GKUA; Baqi Kopelman, GKUA’s Creative Director and UPROAR Producer, reached out to me about being a judge for the dance competition. He has seen my work, his wife has seen my work and they’re big fans. He told me Samantha Long was a part of it. He asked me if I wanted to be a part of the festival, come and hang out at the festival and have a good time. It was a great opportunity.

It’s always a good thing when artists give movement artists a chance to have a platform to be able to do their thing. Especially to have fun doing what they love, and also the chance to win $5K. This is a no-brainer, I’d love to be a part of this. The GKUA team asked if I knew anybody else and I immediately told them about Jon Boogz; we both share that passion for dance in the same way.

Samantha: There have been a couple things throughout the years. Young Money’s social media, it started with them reposting a lot of my videos. Our teams started to build a relationship, this came about and it was perfect. GKUA reached out to my team, telling us about the whole competition and their idea for it. I was so excited to be a part of this and help give dancers a platform which I know me, Buck, and Boogz all feel the same. It’s so important to give dancers that spotlight because for such a long time, it’s been so neglected and they haven’t.

Jon: Buck introduced me to the GKUA team planning UPROAR. Before I was directing and choreographing and doing all these other things that we’re doing now in film and television, I used to host competitions in Miami. I’m from Miami originally. I used to throw battles and dance competitions all the time from when I was 17 years old to the last one I threw in 2019. Obviously the pandemic hit in 2020, which impacted live events. But I always like to try to do something in the community I come from at least once a year to give back. Even if we’re really busy with a lot of different things, I always want people in the street dance and hip-hop community to feel we’re tangible, we’ll always try to find ways to give back to them. I came in through the backdoor but I’ve been helping the GKUA team a lot with ideas and how we can go about throwing these particular types of events because I’ve been doing them for a very long time.

AllHipHop: What are you guys most excited for as August 13th approaches?

Samantha: I’m personally super excited about the UPROAR Dance Competition. My company A THREAT is co-producing it and the dancers that have made it through are absolutely incredible. So many are viral across social platforms like TikTok, you have amazing dance icons. It’ll be super exciting to watch the duos and pairings, see what they come up with and how they interpret the choreography. It’s going to be amazing and iconic, seeing everybody perform and the energy surrounding the competition.

AllHipHop: What do you look for as a judge?

Jon: It’s really who’s expressing themselves honestly. Like any other art form, it’s self-expression. A lot of dancers are technically great and can execute steps really well, but I try to look to see who they are inside the movement. I’m really looking for individuality, I’m looking for musicality. I love when people are inside the music, not just dancing on beat. Really inside the music, where the music’s taking them for a ride. Getting lost in the music. I’m really looking for creativity, individuality, and musicality. Even if I’m watching a battle or choreography, all those elements still relate in both categories.

You still want to see who’s in the music the best, who’s being themselves in that moment in time. Ultimately, who’s being lost in the music. Those are things I look forward to and enjoy. Of course with street dance, there’s certain styles. I know technical things go with certain styles so you’re looking for technique to some degree, but technique isn’t everything. Sometimes I’ll take a person who’s got more character or charisma over someone who’s super technical. That person can be super technical but no character or charisma, so it’s about finding a good balance between the two.

Lil Buck: Same with me, it’s about finding that balance between the two because I’m looking for it all. I’m looking for their technicality, but also their rawness and how you can move. I’m looking to be moved, that rawness, that killer instinct in you. I want you to show me you want it. I’m looking for all the basics that judges normally look for: that musicality, that heart, that technicality and that rawness. I’m looking for people to give it their all on that dance floor, have no regrets and leave no stone unturned. I want them to be able to say they competed to the maximum level.

Samantha: We have such a diverse group of dancers, so many different genres in the competition. We have hip hop and all these different alternate styles. Putting them back to back for me, I’m really looking for the hunger and creativity, and seeing their drive. Everybody can do choreographed moves, but it’s the emotion that you put behind it. Letting other people read that from you and the feeling that people get from watching is what’s most important. I want to feel that when I watch the performers compete. I want to feel what they’re feeling, that drive is what I’ll be looking for from all the contestants.

AllHipHop: What does it mean to you to be in collaboration with Lil Wayne?

Lil Buck: It’s great, I’ve always been a fan of Lil Wayne and his music. It’ll be amazing. It was a blessing to get the call to be a part of this festival because we get to do our thing with this UPROAR Dance Competition, but we also get to enjoy the festival and everything that comes with it. It’ll be very fun seeing Wayne in his atmosphere and all the people he’s bringing on board to make this festival what it is. I’m excited for the dancing, for the performances. I’m excited because they announced that Polo G is performing there; there’s a lot going on. I’ve never been to a hiphop festival like this. I’m excited for the overall experience in general that Wayne’s providing, a very cool thing he’s doing for the culture.

Samantha: I’m super excited to be working with Wayne. I’ve been working with the Young Money camp, I’ve done choreography for Nicki Minaj. But being able to work with him is such an iconic moment because he’s really birthed this generation. The hip-hop scene wouldn’t be the same without him and his imprint, so being a part of this show really means a lot to me. I’m very honored to be finally working with the man himself.

Jon: Ditto to both of the things they said. I’ve been following his career for a long time. I’m 33 so I remember being in high school when Tha Carter 1 came out, the whole transition from him going from Tha Block is Hot and the whole Hot Boyz era to him being his own individual artist. Him finding his sound, of course No Ceilings and all those legendary classic mixtapes that buzzed around in hoods all over America. Wayne got that pass everywhere, in the commercial space and in hoods everywhere.

If you’re not a fan of Wayne, you’re probably not too much of a fan of rap music. He’s a pioneer, one of the GOATs. It’s dope he’s even open to say “Yeah, let’s do some dance s### at my festival.” That’s cool. Our goal is to try to make it great so they continue to do these things in the future. We continue to give dancers platforms. Our goal is to do it the best and most authentic way we can possibly do it.

Hassan Campbell Blasts Back At Styles P, Jim Jones & Mentions Alpo & Tekashi 6ix9ine

This is turning into something else! Hassan Campbell starts calling people “b#tch a## ni##as” and…it goes into another space. Hassan Campbell and Styles P seem to be on two different sides of the same coin.

Tough Space.

So, it is Hassan Campbell’s time to speak his peace. And I think I understand where he’s coming from. I understand, that rappers are more popular than bloggers and critics but he has some clear points to what he saying. Basically, in a nutshell, Hassan Campbell maintains that rappers, most notably gangster rappers, half perpetuated various sorts of ideologies into the youth. Those ideologies happen to be of a counterproductive nature to some.  Most times we are talking about things that are detrimental to the community and more specifically, black people. 👴🏿

I think the main difference is that Hassan Campbell is now someone that has the year of the people, but he’s not in the industry in any way shape or form. He is not selling music, he is not in business as far as I can see and he seems to be someone who speaks from the purest place possible. Now, he does have some business, and that is YouTube. YouTube is some thing that turns a profit for those that are able to garner thousands and thousands of people in one place and thousands of views. Imagine the money he’s making off of beefing with one of the most popular rappers out. Styles P! And then you throw in Jim Jones, Maino, Tekashi69, and other rappers and you have some money in the bank. 💰

I am not seeing that is the motivation, but I am saying that it can be very lucrative to beef with notables of this caliber. Anyway, Hassan went on for two hours. And he, in his own words, systematically broke down what Styles P‘s argument was, which was posted earlier on this site. I am not here to take sides, because I happen to believe these guys fundamentally agree. I think, that they simply have different viewpoints and approaches on how they want to fix the community. I also happen to think that Hassan Campbell wants to hold artist accountable for what they have done in the past. However, I think that is a losing proposition, because no one is perfect. Also these guys were much younger and also just trying to get their name out there in their success in place. Most people weren’t walking away from Bad Boy Records in the 1990s.😮

So, we are playing the blame game. Styles is blaming Hassan Campbell and Hassan Campbell is blaming Styles P. But that is so much miss guided energy I can’t even imagine! These guys are really taking their eye off the ball! Fighting each other takes the devil off the hook! Hassan would like to believe that Styles P is an agent of the devil, but I disagree wholeheartedly! This is for too serious to be beefing in front of people. 👀

I just wish they could find a room and talk it out privately. All of this, simply makes me think that they just want views and likes and not solutions! 🤷🏾‍♂️

Virgil Abloh Sells Majority Share Of Off-White To LVMH

Louis Vuitton has bought 60% of Virgil Abloh’s Off-White brand.

In less than 10 years and after his departure from his career-launching stint with Kanye West, Abloh has sold the majority share of his company to Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) and will now working on making luxury products in a variety of categories within the new parent company’s offerings.

The Rockford Illinois native started working in 2018 as the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear collection and the new deal will not change that.

When asked about the acquisition, Abloh said in a corporate statement “For nearly a decade, we’ve been building Off-White to be a brand designed to empower our generation and challenge the status quo. LVMH brings to the table the additional firepower and scale to accelerate our momentum and evolve Off-White into a truly multi-line luxury brand.”

The Chief Creative Director and Founder of Off-White, and Men’s Artistic Director at Louis Vuitton continued, “I’m also honored to use this partnership to deepen my longstanding commitment to expand opportunities for diverse individuals and foster greater equity and inclusion in the industries we serve. This is an incredible new platform to take the disruption we’ve achieved together to a whole new level.”

It seems that LVMH has been doing a lot in their diversity and inclusion missions, including recently hiring Shona Pinnock as their Vice President Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Louis Vuitton Americas.

During her acceptance of this role, she said that she was excited to work “closely” with the “DEI Advisory Committee and the entire LVA team to make the necessary practical and cultural shifts” that are aimed to move everyone “closer to the goal of access and belonging for all.”

Abloh’s deal will be completed by the fall, with the LVMH team’s goal to finish up the particulars in 60 days.

“I’m incredibly excited to work together with LVMH on other possible,” says Abloh.

We are excited to. Congrats.
