Lauryn Hill Quietly Cancels Tour With Fugees Days Before First Date

Lauryn Hill has abruptly canceled her tour with Fugees just three days before the first gig without any explanation.

On Tuesday (August 6) ticket holders for the tour set to kick off this Friday, August 9, began receiving notifications that the tour had been canceled. Ticketmaster removed the tour dates and informed fans that refunds would be issued at the point of purchase.

No reason was given for shelving the tour, which was also set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her iconic album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. It’s unclear if the overseas shows will also be scrapped and tickets remain on sale.

Lauryn Hill Fans Reacts To Canceled Fugees Tour

Frustrated ticket holders flocked to social media following the news, with some posting screenshots of a Live Nation message: “Your event has been canceled. A refund will be on its way to your account soon.”

Other ticket holders and fans expressed disappointment in the latest in a series of cancellations for Lauryn Hill and Fugees in recent years.

“ITS SO DISHEARTENING BEING A FAN OF LAURYN HILL,” one person wrote on X (Twitter). “Last October, a hour before the show in Dallas, it was cancelled with no warning. I tried again this run even when EVERYONE clowned me saying I was foolish for trying. Cancelled AGAIN. I love Lauryn man. But damn yo. DO BETTER.”

“Every time I have heard Lauryn Hill’s name for the last decade and a half it was because she was not showing up to a show. That is not an exaggeration. Those are the only times I’ve heard her name,” another disgruntled fan noted.

Last November, strained vocal cords forced Lauryn Hill to cancel the remaining dates on the 25th anniversary tour of her only solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill

“As many of you may know, I’ve been battling serious vocal strain for the past month,” she wrote on Instagram. “I made it through each show by taking prescribed prednisone, but this can be detrimental to the body when taken in large amounts over long periods of time. In order to prevent any long term negative affect on my voice and my body, I need to take time off to allow for real vocal recovery so that I can discontinue the medication completely.”

Saweetie Dodges “Barbie World” Question—Says Ice Spice & Nicki Minaj Fans Will Drag Her

Saweetie is proof that the saying “time heals all wounds” only applies to certain situations, especially if Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj’s fans are involved in the instance.

During a recent interview bit for Cosmopolitan, Saweetie was asked about her New York rap counterparts cinematic collab “Barbie World.” The premise of the segment warranted that the “NANi” rapper either answer the question on the cue card or take a shot.

Considering Ice and Nicki’s collab dropped over a year ago in-tandem with the “Barbie” film, one would think this wouldn’t be a controversial topic at all. However, it is definitely still a messy topic, especially considering they were asking which version of the song was and Saweetie’s reaction to the question is evidence of such.

“Girl, why do you want to have all the fan bases fight me,” Saweetie teased as she questioned the interviewer’s interventions. “For political reasons [takes shot]. Girl, you gone have two fan bases—one dragging me and one punching me.”

Jason Martin, the rapper formerly known as Problem, claimed Nicki Minaj stole Saweetie’s idea to sample Aqua’s single “Barbie Girl” for the Barbie movie. According to Martin, it was Nicki who ran of on the plug with the song after it was allegedly proposed to her as a collaboration with Saweetie.

“As a writer on this, I can confirm this song and idea was sent to [Nicki Minaj] last year to submit for the Barbie movie,” Problem wrote. “It’s sad to see that the original artist has been pushed off a song that was her idea and was meant for both of them. I have no side in this, but I will be compensated.”

At this point, we all just need to be able to hear both versions of the track to decide once and for all.

For now, though, check out the cheeky clip above.

Wiz Khalifa Recorded His Latest Feature “Within A Few Hours” Rapper Shwayze Says

Shwayze says Wiz Khalifa is working at the speed of light when it comes to cooking up his guest verses.

The Malibu-bred, alt-rap sensation recently teamed up with Pittsburgh’s rap superstar for his latest single and music video, “Smoke Too Soon.”

Known for his hits “Corona & Lime” and “Buzzin,” Shwayze continues to push the boundaries of his sound with this new alt-rap/reggae-infused track. The music video, directed by Nicholas Jandora, offers a fun, laid-back vibe set at KH Cinnamon Donuts in Los Angeles.

It also features appearances from artists such as GaTa from the FX series Dave, Bryce Vine and, of course, Wiz Khalifa himself. Shwayze spoke about how the collab came together, remarking on the astonishing rate Wiz Khalifa brought his verse to life after they began work on the record.

“Wiz [Khalifa] and I have crossed paths for years,” Shwayze explained in a press release. “I sent him a few demos, and he sent me his vocals within a few hours. I’m glad we could finally make this collab happen.”

The new single captures a perfect blend of Cali Reggae and Hip-Hop, which Shwayze describes as “combining both genres effortlessly. Feel good vibes only.”

The synergy between Shwayze and Wiz Khalifa is evident in the smooth, relaxed flow of the song as well as the cinematic video, which has a plot that teeters somewhere between Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s “The Wash” and Method Man and Redman’s “How High.” The record alone is a testament to what Shwayze says is a truly high-level work for himself.

Shwaycation, my eighth studio album, drops on September 13, and I truly believe it’s my best work yet,” he said. “Collaborating with Wiz and GaTa on the music video for ‘Smoke Too Soon’ was an incredible experience. I’m thankful for the continued support that allows me to share my passion for music.”

Shwayze first burst onto the scene with his breakout hit “Corona & Lime,” a track that encapsulated the laid-back, sun-soaked vibes of Malibu and quickly became a summer anthem. His unique blend of alternative, indie pop and alt-rap has continued to evolve, earning him a dedicated fan base and a niche spot in the music industry.

As of recent years, Shwayze has branched out into film and television after landing recurring roles on the shows Abbott Elementary and Lincoln Lawyer. With Shwaycation on the horizon, Shwayze is poised to make a significant impact once again. He’s set to embark on the 21-date headlining live circuit dubbed the Permanent Shwaycation Tour.

Kid Cudi’s Classic ‘MOTM’-Era Music Video Was Shot For $5K By His New Co-Star Josh Hartnett

You can’t make anything like this up; the only way to describe the big screen reunion of actor Josh Hartnett and rap sensation Kid Cudi is as an amusing twist of fate.

In a story that sounds like something out of a feel-good movie, the pair of creative collaborators, who became fast friends, recently joined forces in M. Night Shyamalan’s new thriller, Trap. The Cleveland rapper both cut a record for the film’s soundtrack and got some screen time alongside his Hollywood pal. Hartnett recently dished to The Hook about the serendipitous start of his friendship with Kid Cudi, recalling their first meeting in New York.

“Cudi was doing his first concert at Terminal 7, opening for a band called Ratatat,” Hartnett began. “I knew Ratatat, so I was sidestage. He came off stage and was like, ‘Hey, you’re Josh, right?’ and I was like, ‘Yeah, man, great show.’ He said he just moved to New York and wanted to be friends, and I was like, ‘Yeah!’ So, we became friends.”

The casual backstage introduction blossomed into a solid friendship and about a year later, the two found themselves collaborating on one of Kid Cudi’s most iconic music videos. As Hartnett shared how the opportunity arose when Cudi was gearing up to release his album, he revealed he pitched him the idea they ended up using after he needed a video for his hit song “Pursuit of Happiness.”

“We shot that in one night for five grand,” Hackett recounted with a chuckle. “Unbelievable.”

Kid Cudi caught wind of Hartnett’s interview and promptly responded fondly on Twitter (X): “Life is crazy sometimes. Love Josh forever. Homie for life. make art with your friends.”

Kid Cudi and Hartnett’s late-night, low budget shoot resulted in a visually captivating video that perfectly complemented Cudi’s introspective and euphoric track. The DIY nature of their project didn’t just save costs; it captured the raw, authentic energy that resonated with fans worldwide.

Kid Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness” has since become an anthem of a generation, contributing to the success of his debut album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day, which was released nearly 15 years ago.

The album soared in popularity, achieving RIAA platinum certification, while “Pursuit of Happiness” itself also earned platinum status. The song’s enduring appeal is a testament to Kid Cudi’s unique artistry and the magic that can happen when two creative minds collide.

Chris Brown Associate Lo’s Alleged Killer Arrested After Landing On Most Wanted List

U.S. Marshals apprehended the man accused of killing Chris Brown’s collaborator and friend Lowell “Lo” Grissom. Deshawn “Thorobread” Davis was captured in California on Monday (August 5).

“I commend the men and women of the Marshals Service and our partners for the capture of Deshawn Davis,” U.S. Marshals Service Director Ronald L. Davis said. “It is our hope that this apprehension brings justice to his victims and safety to the community.”

Davis was added to the U.S. Marshals’ Most Wanted Fugitives list on August 1. U.S. Marshals offered up to $25,000 for information leading to the 36-year-old man’s capture. Davis was allegedly involved in a kidnapping in addition to Grissom’s murder.

Authorities accuse Davis of fatally shooting Grissom during a party at Miami Beach’s GALA Nightclub in May 2023. Two women were injured in the incident.

Grissom, also known as Young Lo or EverybodyKnowLo, was a talent scout for Chris Brown Entertainment. Brown mourned his friend’s death on Instagram in 2023.

“Love you bro,” Brown wrote. “Rest up MY BROTHER.”

Davis was a wanted man in Canada at the time of Grissom’s murder. Authorities believe Grissom was the victim of a targeted attack “with a gang nexus.”

Grissom’s alleged killer and others were charged with kidnapping in February 2023. Canadian officials said Davis was involved in the January 2022 kidnapping of Elnaz Hajtamiri.

The victim is presumed dead. Her ex-boyfriend Mohamad Lilo was charged with murder by way of direct indictment.

Ontario Provincial Police and York Regional Police are offering a $100,000 reward for information regarding the whereabouts of Hajtamiri. Canadian investigators are collaborating with U.S. law enforcement in their investigation of the kidnapping.

Drake Drops 100GB Of Content—Including New Songs—Following Kendrick Lamar Beef

Drake surprised fans by unleashing 100GB of content on a website called 100gigs.org on Tuesday (August 6). The release initially appeared to be a leak as it emerged from a seemingly random Instagram account, now speculated to be Drake’s burner.

“100 GIGS FOR YOUR HEADTOP,” the account declared.

Drake’s label OVO Sound confirmed the content was not a leak on X (formerly known as Twitter). It shared a link to the website and tagged Drake in a post on Tuesday afternoon.

The 100GB release included three new songs. Latto, who appeared on one of the tracks, shared a snippet with a video of her riding a horse on her social media platforms.

Drake enlisted Latto for a song called “Housekeeping Knows.” Frequent collaborator 21 Savage and the incarcerated Young Thug contributed to a track titled “It’s Up.” The third song was a solo cut called “Blue Green Red.”

The rest of the content was filled with behind-the-scenes footage of Drake from music videos, studio sessions and more. The 100 gigs site made every folder available for download.

Drake’s unexpected drop was his first batch of new music since his much-discussed battle against Kendrick Lamar. Drake was the last person to release a diss track in their beef, but K. Dot was widely declared the winner thanks to the hit single “Not Like Us.” Drake’s “The Heart Part 6” largely became a footnote following its release in May.

Lamar’s “Not Like Us” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, achieving a level of popularity that few diss tracks do. K. Dot took a victory lap when he performed the song multiple times at his Juneteenth concert The Pop Out: Ken & Friends in June. The event was livestreamed on Amazon Prime Video. Lamar released a music video for “Not Like Us” in July.

Young Thug Trial: Witness At Center Of Controversy Suggests He May Not Testify

Judge Paige Reese Whitaker informed Kenneth “Woody” Copeland he would be held in contempt if he refused to testify again in Young Thug’s RICO trial on Tuesday (August 6). Copeland claimed he wasn’t sure if he would testify when the trial resumes next week.

“Depend on how I wake up,” Copeland responded when asked if he’d testify, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Jozsef Papp.

Copeland was the key witness who spoke with the case’s former judge and prosecutors in a secret meeting that derailed Young Thug’s trial. Defense attorneys believed Judge Ural Glanville and the prosecution coerced Copeland into testifying in June.

The secret meeting created legal chaos, resulting in Judge Glanville’s recusal from the case. Judge Rachel Krause ordered Judge Glanville’s exit in July.

“This Court has no doubt that Judge Glanville can and would continue presiding fairly over this matter if the recusal motions were denied, but the ‘necessity of preserving the public’s confidence in the judicial system’ weighs in favor of excusing Judge Glanville from further handling of this case,” Krause ruled.

Judge Shukura Ingram was assigned to take over the case from Judge Glanville. She quickly recused herself due to a potential conflict of interest. Judge Whitaker was tasked with handling the complicated case following Ingram’s decision.

The defense sought a mistrial, but Judge Whitaker seemed determined to push forward with Young Thug’s trial. Judge Whitaker planned for testimony to resume on August 12. The trial has been on hold since the first week of July. It started in 2023.

Young Thug has remained in jail since his 2022 arrest. Judge Whitaker denied his renewed motion for bond.

“I’m not going to reconsider any bond issues that have already been considered and ruled upon by another court absent legitimate changed circumstances,” she said in July.

Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel filed a motion to disqualify the lead prosecutors in the RICO case. Judge Whitaker has yet to rule on the matter.

Birdman On Lil Wayne, Hot Boys Solo ESSENCE Fest Sets & Rick Ross Fake Jewelry Jab

Birdman has finally cleared the air on the separate Essence Fest performances of Lil Wayne and the Hot Boys and managed to air out Rick Ross in the process.

In a recent live stream, Birdman opened up about the drama surrounding Lil Wayne and the Hot Boys’ sets at Essence Fest, in addition to addressing lyrics from Rick Ross suggesting he wears fake jewelry.

The Cash Money mogul started off with the former, seemingly remarking that fans’ perception of a full-blown Hot Boys reunion was skewed from the beginning. Birdman explained by detailing the behind-the-scenes dynamics, revealing that Lil Wayne’s solo set was always part of the plan.

“N###as was talking about ‘Wayne [Lil Wayne] and won’t do this and do that,'” Birdman said. “Wayne wasn’t going to even do Essence. I called my son and asked him to do it because I was doing Birdman and Friends, and he did it. I asked him to do it right.”

He continued, emphasizing that Wayne having his own set was pre-planned.

“So we always knew that Wayne was going to have his own set because me and Juvie, Geezy [B.G.] and Fresh [Mannie Fresh], we rehearsed together every day and we had our own set together,” he said. “But we all knew that Wayne was going to have his own set because Wayne was.”

Birdman also showed love to artists such as 2 Chainz and Bun B, who also appeared along side the Hot Boys members whom he performed with at ESSENCE.

As the interview continued, Birdman didn’t hold back when addressing Rick Ross’ claim that he wore fake jewelry. In case your memory has served you better in the past, the “Stuntin Like My Daddy” hitmaker was referring to a diss made in Ross’ track “Idols Become Rivals” from his 2017 album Rather You Than Me. Birdman vehemently denied the allegations, recounting his lavish lifestyle from a young age.

“I was 14 years old wearing two Rolexes uptown, in NOLA, 15 years old with 10 cars,” he said. “By the time I was 16 years old, I had 16 cars playing with a few Ms.”

As he continued fiercely defending his reputation, Birdman essentially disowned Ross, claiming it has been more than 20 years since he had a relationship with him.

“I ain’t never been no man in my life that will fake jury blood,” he said, adding, “Cap talking, n###a b###h made to say I wore fake jewelry. N###a p#### to say I wore fake jewelry. I ain’t never wore no fake jewelry. But that just showed me a n#### don’t know me. N#### you met me, met a n#### in ’96, stop f###### one of ’em in 2000.”

PnB Rock’s Mother Reveals Shocking Way She Learned Murder Trial Was Underway

PnB Rock’s mother Deannea Allen found out the two men charged in connection to her son’s shooting death were on trial like most people did. Allen told Rolling Stone she discovered the trial was underway via social media, prompting her to go to great lengths to travel from Philadelphia to Compton to attend the final day of testimony on Monday (August 5).

“I’m here to get justice,” Allen said. “I want justice. This was my son, my child. I want the jury to know he has a family who loves him and wants to support him. I learned a lot today.”

Freddie Trone and Tremont Jones faced multiple charges for their alleged roles in PnB Rock’s 2022 murder. Prosecutors accused Trone of sending his 17-year-old son into a restaurant to rob the late rapper with a gun and serving as the getaway driver. Jones allegedly tipped off Trone to PnB Rock’s whereabouts and supplied the weapon. Both suspects denied any wrongdoing.

“I understand you’re trying to put together your story,” Trone told prosecutors during Monday’s testimony. “I never had nothing to do with it. I wasn’t there. I didn’t tell nobody to do nothing. I didn’t hand nobody no gun.”

PnB Rock’s mother was unconvinced by Trone’s denial.

“His lies are ridiculous,” Allen said. “That is ridiculous. The surveillance should speak for itself.”

Trone and Jones are the only suspects on trial in PnB Rock’s murder case. The alleged shooter was deemed incompetent to stand trial by a juvenile court judge. Two women pleaded no contest to accessory after the fact.

“The women in this case, at least they took responsibility,” Allen said. “But the men, they’re not trying to deal with it. They’re trying to say they had nothing to do with it. It’s unacceptable. My son was a beautiful person. He tried to take care of everyone. Our last conversation was a half-hour when he was on his way to California. He told me about all the good things he was doing. He was just trying to be better, a little more conscious.”

PnB Rock is survived by his fiancée Stephanie Sibounheuang and two children. He was 30.

Bossman DLow Fans Troll Him With His Own Lyrics After Old Video Of His Alleged Arrest Goes Viral

Bossman DLow fans are both devastated and entertained by the news of his alleged arrest and took their reactions to social media accordingly.

The “Get In With Me” rapper began trending on social media platforms such as Twitter and more after a short video surfaced in which he appeared to be in handcuffs.

According to the caption of the video, DLow was allegedly raided by either federal agents or Florida state law enforcement officials, who can be seen with their guns drawn and instructing the rapper to walk back to them with his hands up.

The individual recording the video of his alleged arrest shouts “Bossman” as authorities walked DLow to a vehicle. He seemingly obliges the shoutout before being escorted out of the frame.

Almost immediately after the video began trending on Twitter, users started using bars from DLow’s songs to sum up the situation as it unfolded.

“They heard him say, ‘You ain’t gone keep it P, alright bet/Stand on that’ and took it very personally,” one user tweeted. Another user remarked, “Lmao dumb ass n#### called his self the dope man.”

One user pointed out that one of DLow’s most popular songs could also be to blame for his alleged run-in with the law. “They must’ve just heard ‘Mr. Pot Scraper,'” the user tweeted.

Another user trolled DLow over his catchy ad-libs, tweeting, “Guess dawg was riding around with that …..YEAAHHHH.”

Users eventually went on to speculate the validity of the video of DLow’s arrest once the lyrical Tom Foolery was all said and done.

Several individuals claimed the video was old and related to a raid on one of the Florida rapper’s friend’s residences. Others denied the allegation that it was the feds that apprehended DLow and rather state officials. No official response has come from DLow yet confirming the news either way yet, either.

Megan Thee Stallion Endorsed Kamala Harris: Is Flau’jae Next?

LSU women’s basketball star and Roc Nation-signed rapper Flau’jae hoped to perform at a Kamala Harris campaign rally like Megan Thee Stallion. Flau’jae eyed a gig in her hometown of Savannah, Georgia, which Harris intended to visit on Friday (August 9) before a weather-related postponement.

“She’s coming to Savannah, Georgia, so I would’ve definitely popped out,” Flau’jae told AllHipHop’s Chuck Creekmur. “But it’s crazy. I got my song ‘Ready or Not.’ I’m like, ‘It’s crazy, I’m the one they want to represent/Young black girl, I could probably be the president.’ But I do think it’s important that rappers are taking the initiative to [help the campaign]. So, you got to think Megan Thee Stallion has a gajillion kabillion fans. And she has a lot of influence. And so anything to just get into the youth, that’s what I think Kamala’s trying to do is get in touch with the youth.”

Flau’jae discussed more than politics in her interview with AllHipHop. She also reflected on her duty to champion Hip-Hop culture and the art of rapping.

“I feel like it’s a kind of a dying sport right now,” she said. “Anybody could just go to the studio or record on their phone and call it Hip-Hop. And I think we’re getting further and further away from the core values of what Hip-Hop really is. I don’t think it’s enough students of the game. ‘Cause me, I like to go back. I studied all—you could ask me any questions just about Hip-Hop in general. It deriving from New York, DJ Kool Herc, everybody. So, I know about Hip-Hop and I feel like a lot of kids—when you want to be great, you got to study the greats. That’s what I always thought. So, me being a Hip-Hop connoisseur is kind of just like, I feel like I got a kind of responsibility for people to understand what Hip-Hop and how it’s changed throughout the years. Don’t make it wrong, but it’s about just going back to the core.”

Pitbull Drops Millions On Naming Rights To FIU Football Stadium

Pitbull just made a major purchase, buying the naming rights to Florida International’s football stadium (FIU).

On Tuesday morning (August 5), news surfaced that Mr. 305 was finalizing a multi-million-dollar deal. According to ESPN, the FIU Board of Trustees approved a five-year contract for the naming rights. Pitbull will pay the school $1.2 million annually for five years, with the option to renew for another five years at the end of the term.

FIU Stadium will become Pitbull Stadium and reportedly the first college athletics building named after a musician.

The outlet reports the rapper and singer will breathe new life into the stadium with a fresh anthem. Additionally, Pitbull is contractually obliged to post about the school on social media and attend at least one fundraiser annually.

The deal also offers some perks for Pitbull, including two private suites for home games. He can also use the stadium on at least 10 days during the year, and his vodka brand, Voli 305, will be distributed in the stadium. Pitbull will also receive the title “Official Entrepreneur of FIU Athletics.”

The school celebrated the new deal on Instagram, wishing Pitbull a warm welcome. “Mr. 305 is HOME,” the official FIU account wrote, announcing the newly crowned Pitbull stadium.

Nicki Minaj Blasts “Mooch” Relative In Scathing Rant, Sister Ming Luanli Responds

Nicki Minaj seemingly shaded her younger sister, Ming Luanli, calling her a “mooch and a clown” for doing interviews about her, sparking a response from her sibling.

On Monday night (August 5) the NYC rapper ranted about a mystery person, slamming them for speaking on “a person they love.”

While she did not name her sister Ming Luanli, Nicki Minaj hinted she was talking about a relative.

“Why would a person speak openly about a private person? Why would a person do that?” she questioned during a talk on StationHead. “Who would you speak about in your interviews if someone wanted to interview you? Yourself, right?”

She continued, declaring, “It’s always a bad sign if a person who’s not even in your line of work or has never been successful in your line of work is doing interviews with people in your line of work.”

Minaj then gave the strongest indication she was referring to a family member. “I think y’all think talent, like you could catch it like a cold,” she added. “Or maybe people could pass it through the genes. Even with blood relation, what God has given to me is mine. You have to go and get your own. You have to discover whatever it is that you’re great at. Being a mooch and a clown don’t run in my DNA.”

The clip soon circulated online, and fans speculated that Nicki Minaj was shading Ming Luanli following a recent interview with the We In Miami podcast.

Ming Luanli On Growing Up As Nicki Minaj’s Sister

During the episode, Luanli shed light on growing up as Nicki Minaj’s half-sister, among other topics.

“It was kinda hard,” she admitted. “I used to be bullied a lot because people used to say like ‘Oh if this person was your sister, why didn’t she do this for you?'”

The budding rapper continued, “I just needed her to see that I can do it, and she can be proud of me without having to think that I needed to have a easy way to get to the top.”

While Luanli explained that they were never close and would often argue, she did look up to her. “I used to have this urge of wanting to impress my sister,” she explained.

The Game Announces “The Documentary 3” Plans: “It’s Gonna Be Tough”

The Game is gearing up for a special celebration to mark the 20-year anniversary of his first major label release by dropping The Documentary 3

The Compton native let news of his upcoming album slip during a recent interview on the Tacos & Shawarma podcast. “I’m definitely gonna start the new album and I ain’t told anybody that,” The Game revealed. “But yeah, The Documentary 3, I’m gonna go in hard. ”

The Game continued, announcing, “I’ma drop it the same day that the other one dropped.” He added, “I’m up for the challenge. It’s gonna be tough.”

The Documentary arrived via Dr. Dre‘s Aftermath Entertainment and 50 Cent‘s G-Unit Records back on January 18, 2005. According to The Game, fans can expect The Documentary 3 to land on the same date in 2025.

The Game first hinted he was working on The Documentary 3 during an Instagram Live earlier this year. He teased the project while addressing his absence from Kendrick Lamar’s epic The Pop Out: Ken & Friends concert.

“We coming up on the 20th muthafuckin anniversary of The Documentary,” he shared. “I’m about to start putting in work on The Documentary 3 and I’ma give that s### to my fans.”

The Game made headlines during the Drake and K. Dot battle for attempting to rehash his beef with Rick Ross. However, Rozay refused to bite and then trolled The Game over his legal struggles. The pair exchanged jabs on social media before The West Coast rapper accused The MMG honcho of reporting him to Instagram.

Janet Jackson Gearing Up For Las Vegas Residency Following World Tour

Janet Jackson is fleshing out the details for a Las Vegas residency to round out the year.

The iconic singer is reportedly putting the finishing touches on a deal with Resorts World, per TMZ. The short residency is set to begin in December with a special New Year’s Eve performance to ring in 2025.

The outlet reports Janet Jackson chose a Vegas residency over London because the bigger bag was Stateside. It’s not the legendary entertainer’s first residency in Sin City after headlining “Metamorphosis” for three months at the Park MGM in 2019. At the time, the 18-date deal ranked as one of the most lucrative Vegas residencies, grossing around $13 million.

Janet Jackson’s Las Vegas residency is set to kick off shortly after she wraps her Together Again tour. Jackson began the tour last April in Florida, and she’s set to conclude in Glasgow, Scotland, in October. She wrapped the North American leg at the end of last month and is scheduled to begin the European leg in September.

While it’s important for her to keep “his spirit with me,” she recently revealed the song reignites memories of their bond.

“Listening to him every night, seeing him, remembering us,” is deeply emotional,” she explained to the BBC last month. “I relive that whole journey, listening to him sing it and remembering what he was going through at that time. And just me being his little sister, always by his side, and being that support system. That’s always been my role.”

Donald Trump Continues Attacks On Kamala Harris’s Name With “Kambala” Moniker

Donald Trump is continuing his attacks against Vice President Kamala Harris, referring to her in social media posts as “Kambala.”

Trump caused outrage last month by revealing he doesn’t care if he mispronounces the name of his political rival. Now he’s upped the ante by addressing her by a new name altogether.

The moniker appeared to stem from a typo in one of his many posts on his Truth Social platform Monday night (August 5). In the first post, Trump claimed, “Food is now at an all time high because of Kamabla/Biden INCOMPETENCE.”

In every subsequent post, Donald Trump called the Vice President “Kambala.”

“Kamabla Harris is afraid to Debate me on FoxNews,” Trump wrote in his final message of the evening. “She will be easier to defeat on the Debate Stage than Crooked Joe Biden, just watch!”

During his speech at Turning Point USA Believers Summit last month, Trump denied mispronouncing Kamala Harris’ name. He claimed there are more than half a dozen ways to say her name.

“There are numerous ways of saying her name. They were explaining to me, ‘you can say Kamala, you can say Kamala’, I said, ‘don’t worry about it. It doesn’t matter what I say. I couldn’t care less if I mispronounce it’,” Trump told the Florida crowd. “Some people think I mispronounce it on purpose, but actually, I’ve heard it said about seven different ways.”

Cardi B Clarifies NYC Apartment Verbal Spat: “I Was Defending Them”

Cardi B is clearing the air after getting into a heated argument with a New York apartment resident last week.

On Monday (August 5), the New York Post shared footage of the verbal fisticuffs. The clip includes Cardi B yelling, “I’m recording you, b####! I’ll f### you up for real,” to a resident she accused of harassing a group of people.

However, Cardi B took to X (Twitter) after making headlines to share her version of events. She also posted a video she recorded of the incident, clarifying that it happened in the early hours of July 28, and not a day later, as the outlet reported.

According to Cardi B, she was actually looking out for the group, defending them from the resident.

“Why y’all trying to make me sound bad??” she wrote alongside the video. “This was July 28th and I was defending them but ok.”

In the footage Cardi B shared, she is seen leaning out of her car window, yelling, “Why you touching their s###,” repeatedly. “Why you talking to them like that? They not even bothering you,” she adds.

The publication reports the argument began after a resident yelled at a group of people to leave the apartment driveway.

Cardi B also reported a longer video of the incident, accusing the resident of bullying the group for simply taking photographs. In the footage, Cardi B can be heard in a lengthy exchange with the heated resident. The “Wanna Be” rapper berates the woman for “touching their s###” and tells her to leave them alone.

“Btches trying to be funny and make this something it’s not but I don’t care,” she said. “I don’t like when people think they can bully people for no reason.. like how you gonna do all that yelling, hit their car, AND call the cops all because they taking pictures in front of a building?!”

The footage surfaced just days after Cardi B filed for divorce from her husband of nearly seven years, Offset. She also confirmed that she was pregnant with their third child.

Later in the day, Rihanna and friends, including Ayra Starr, partied on a float, waving to fans as the truck made its way around the festival route.

Before meeting up at Barbados Crop Over, Rihanna and the Nigerian-bred singer hooked up earlier this year in London. During an interview in May, Starr gushed over the meeting at the Fenty x Puma Creeper Phatty Earth Tone launch party.

“I was like, ‘Wow! Rihanna!’” Starr said of meeting the Fenty mogul for the first time. “We got to hang out after the event. Just spending time with my idol, the person that inspired me to do all of this, was the most amazing thing. She gave me so many pointers and advice.”

Days before Crop Over, Rihanna and partner A$AP Rocky celebrated a major milestone as their son Riot Rose turned one on August 1. Rocky paid tribute to the little boy with an adorable trip down memory lane featuring precious moments from the little boy’s first 12 months.

Machine Gun Kelly shared his triumph over addiction during an appearance on the Dumb Blonde Podcast Monday.

The 34-year-old, known offstage as Colson Baker, disclosed he has been sober from alcohol and drugs for an entire year.

“I’m completely sober from everything. I don’t drink anymore. I haven’t drank since last August,” Machine Gun Kelly told listeners, marking a significant milestone since his battle with alcohol, cocaine, and heroin addiction began.

His struggle with substance abuse had been a recurring theme in his life and music, notably explored in his debut album Lace Up, released in 2012.

Songs from the album paint a vivid picture of his turbulent past with heroin and cocaine.

In a candid segment of the podcast, Machine Gun Kelly revealed he quietly entered a rehab facility after concluding his 2023 European tour.

“I didn’t tell anybody outside of the people closest to me. That was my first time I ever went to rehab,” he admitted. “They just gave me so many ways to operate the body and show where this anger is coming from and methods to quell it.”

Machine Gun Kelly’s journey through recovery included extensive therapy where he met with numerous psychiatrists.

“Some gave up on me and many therapists did the same,” he shared. “But I ended up falling into an awareness of what my condition is and have made peace with it. It’s a constant tightrope walk.”

His motivation to embrace sobriety is deeply personal. Machine Gun Kelly previously expressed his desire to turn his life around for his fiancée, Megan Fox, and his daughter, Casie.
