Drake Arrest In Sweden: The Truth Is Revealed on Instagram

Canadian rapper Drake has seemingly confirmed reports of his arrest in Sweden last July after sharing a video on Instagram.

The eight-second clip shows Drake being handcuffed and taken to a police car by two cops. Members of his crew can also be seen walking alongside him.

Speculation about Drake’s arrest began circulating on social media in July 2022, with the hashtag #FreeDrake trending on Twitter. At the time, representatives for the rapper denied that he had been arrested, stating that he was simply in his hotel and not a police station.

Huffington Post journalist Phillip Lewis took to Twitter and said the speculation was false.

“FYI: I talked to Swedish police and they told me Drake is not currently in their custody. (That was the only info they would give),” he wrote.

Lewis also confirmed, “From Drake’s team: “Drake is at his hotel and has not been arrested.”

However, Drake later hinted that the arrest did, in fact, take place when he shared a photo on Instagram of a document from the Swedish National Police Board.

In his latest post, Drake has seemingly confirmed the incident once and for all. Alongside the video of his arrest, he shared a photo of himself and collaborator 21 Savage, as well as a caption that reads:

“The funds are useful/The lyrics are truthful/The suspects are usual/The opps are delusional/The finish line is beautiful/And the disrespect is mutual/ See you in 23.”

It is still unclear what specific charges Drake is facing concerning the arrest.

However, reports have suggested that the arrest may have been related to marijuana-related offenses while Drake was partying at a club in Stockholm.

Blueface Baltimore Battle Royale: Rapper Brags After Insane Fight Leaves A Man Unconscious

Over the weekend, rapper Blueface was involved in a wild and chaotic fight in Baltimore.

According to footage that hit Twitter, the fight occurred after Blueface attended a party at a local club with his girlfriend, Chrisean Rock.

The altercation quickly escalated, involving dozens of people and even two armed officers who could not stop the chaos.

The fight with men and women involved (including one seemingly in her panties) spanned several blocks and ended with one man in a yellow shirt knocked out.

Blueface confirmed the brawl and bragged about the incident on his Instagram stories, posting a screenshot of the man knocked out with the caption, “he sleepy.”

This news comes just a few days after Chrisean Rock’s brother, Mookie, was arrested for attempted murder, adding to the already troubled situation.

Blueface has had a tumultuous few months. He was arrested for attempted murder in July for an incident that took place in October.

Footage of that incident has also surfaced, allegedly showing Blueface drawing out a gun and firing shots at a driver who confronted him outside a Las Vegas club.

According to sources, Blueface’s crew got into an altercation with the driver inside the club, leading to the confrontation in the video.

Las Vegas police arrested Blueface, whose real name is Johnathan Porter, and charged him with attempted murder and other felony charges.

He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and is currently out on bail. A preliminary hearing in his case is scheduled for January 24, 2023.

Gangsta Boo’s Cause Of Death Believed To Be Drug Overdose

Gangsta Boo died on Sunday (January 1) following a concert in her hometown of Memphis. Her body was reportedly found on her front porch around 4 p.m. local time. Anyone familiar with the Three 6 Mafia legend’s career is likely aware she struggled with substance abuse. Sources close to Gangsta Boo tell AllHipHop they are emphatic she died from a drug overdose. TMZ‘s latest update only fuels the fire.

According to the publication, Gangsta Boo attended the concert with her brother on Saturday night (December 31) to celebrate New Year’s Eve. He was later taken to the hospital after suffering an overdose himself. Although he ultimately recovered, the party appeared to continue at Gangsta Boo’s residence. Sources claimed narcotics were found on her person and that a fentanyl-laced substance is likely the cause of death.

Gangsta Boo appeared on the latest season of Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition alongside her then-boyfriend Emmett Flores. During an episode aired last May, a “white powdery substance” was discovered in their room. Resident therapist, Dr. Ish, confronted the couple about it and she denied it was cocaine. She later addressed the incident in a since-deleted Instagram post and trashed Dr. Ish for his perceived lack of professionalism.

In a 2021 interview with AllHipHop, Gangsta Boo opened up about her father’s death, seeking therapy and PTSD. Watch it below.

Kanye West & Kim Kardashian Have Made A Rule About North’s Social Media Use

Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West have made a rule for their nine-year-old daughter North’s social media usage.

The “Stronger” rapper publicly aired his grievances about North being on TikTok “against (his) will” earlier this year, and Kim responded by insisting that North, the eldest of their four children, was always supervised by an adult.

In a conversation with Gwyneth Paltrow on The goop Podcast, Kim revealed that she and Kanye have a rule about North’s social media presence.

“I have made a rule with their dad about it, you know, he’s not happy about that, I respect that,” she shared. “It can only be on my own phone. It’s not something where she can scroll and look at things… We don’t do comments.”

The 42-year-old revealed that she sees their joint TikTok account, which has almost 12 million followers, as North’s “creative outlet” because it gives her a platform to create mini-movies and show off her talent for special effects make-up.

“I take it as more of a creative thing, as long as it’s age appropriate and they’re having fun. It’s so annoying because I just won’t have my phone for so long because she’ll take it and be doing that,” Kim noted. “It’s something they (North and her friends) love to do and as long as they’re monitored, I’m OK with that.”

The SKIMS founder also told Gwyneth that North briefly ran an Instagram account for their dogs but it didn’t work out.

“That wasn’t working for me. I was like, ‘This is just too much access’ so that only lasted like two days,” she added.

Later in the discussion, Kim revealed that she and North make a quick TikTok video every morning before breakfast.

Kim and Kanye finalized their divorce in November.

Kim Kardashian Admits Kanye West Marriage Felt Like Her First “Real” Union

Kim Kardashian has admitted her marriage to her third husband, Kanye West, felt like her first “real” union.

During a conversation with Gwyneth Paltrow on The goop Podcast on Tuesday, the reality star revealed her marriages to Damon Thomas and Kris Humphries didn’t feel as real as her union with Kanye.

“I feel, honestly, my last marriage was my first real (one),” she explained. “The first one, I just don’t know what was happening. The second one, I felt like I wanted to be married so badly because all my friends were at that place and that’s where I should have been and I didn’t accept that that just wasn’t where I was.”

Kim, whose divorce from Kanye was finalized in November, told Gwyneth that she is in no rush to find a new partner but is open to the idea of getting married for the fourth time.

“I have this fantasy in my head like fourth time’s a charm, it’s gonna work out,” she shared. “Now I feel like I will definitely take my time. I would be okay (with) a forever partnership as well. I think I would definitely want a marriage, but I’m so happy to take my time.

“I really do want to be single for a few years. I’m on a good solo mission right now. I have either sisters or friends (who are) all in the same place, and that feels so good, and fun, and I’m going to soak up every minute of it.”

The actress then asked Kim if she feels done having more children and the SKIMS founder declined to rule out the idea.

“So I do (feel like having kids is behind me),” she replied. “I just don’t want to ever say… never say never. I’m at the, obviously, right at the end of that conversation. I said I would have to have someone in my life for a while in order to make that decision, so whatever’s meant to be will be.”

Kim and Kanye share four children; North, nine, Saint, seven, Chicago, four, and Psalm, three.

Gangsta Boo Reportedly Dead At 43

Gangsta Boo, pioneering Memphis rapper and a member of Three 6 Mafia, has reportedly passed away. Fellow Three 6 Mafia member DJ Paul shared a photo of Gangsta Boo to his Instagram account, confirming she died on Sunday (January 1). Rumors circulating online suggest she was found deceased on her porch, but no cause of death has been confirmed. Early reports from Fox13 Memphis state her body was found around 4 p.m. local time. She was 43.

DJ Paul didn’t write anything in his caption. Instead, he simply shared a photo of Gangsta Boo doing what she loved to do most—music. Gangsta Boo recently starred alongside her former boyfriend Emmett on the show Marriage Boot Camp: The Hip Hop Edition. She also collaborated with Run The Jewels on the song “walking in the snow” from the duo’s highly anticipated album, RTJ4 (2020).

Gangsta Boo struggled with substance abuse throughout her career, something that was addressed during her appearance on Marriage Boot Camp. In an episode aired in May 2022, therapist Dr. Ish confronted Gangsta Boo and Emmett about a white powder allegedly discovered in their room.

Gangsta Boo was visibly upset and denied knowing what the substance was, but Dr. Ish encouraged her to get help if she was struggling. After the episode aired, Gangsta Boo called out Dr. Ish via Instagram and suggested he took the wrong approach when broaching the topic.

“You would think that someone like @drish would have a better choice of delivery, when he is trying to be all ‘professional,’” she wrote in the since-deleted post. “Not sure if he just a TV ‘Dr’ when the cameras are on or in real life when they are off.

“This is #mentalhealthawareness month so if you care so much about ppl health, with SO much ‘concern and sincerity,’ why did YOU noticeably allow ppl to be on prescription meds while drinking alcohol in front of you?? Everything was on camera. Don’t pretend like you didn’t know.”

Tributes are pouring in on social media from people who are absolutely floored by the news. AllHipHop reached out to the Memphis Police Department who said: “Victim information will be released once the victim has been identified and NOK notifications have been made. This is an ongoing investigation.”

Serena Williams Struggling To ‘Relax’ After Retiring From Tennis Three Months Ago

Serena Williams is finding it hard to relax following her retirement from tennis.

The former tennis star took to Twitter with an update on her retirement from the game after quitting three months ago.

“I’m currently allowing myself to be tired. Allowing myself to relax. Allowing myself to just be. It’s harder than I ever imagined,” she wrote. “I’ve never allowed myself to do any of that before.”

Serena announced her retirement from tennis in a Vogue essay in August, ahead of the US Open.

“I have never liked the word retirement. It doesn’t feel like a modern word to me,” she wrote at the time. “I’ve been thinking of this as a transition, but I want to be sensitive about how I use that word, which means something very specific and important to a community of people. Maybe the best word to describe what I’m up to is evolution.”

Rihanna Took Inspiration From “Everyday Life” For Her Savage X Fenty Sport Collection

Rihanna took inspiration from everyday life for her latest Savage X Fenty offshoot.

The pop star recently expanded her lingerie line to include activewear with the help of designer Adam Selman, who was appointed executive design director of the collection.

Discussing the brand’s first foray into sportswear with British Vogue, Rihanna explained what inspired her to create the pieces.

“I was inspired by everyday life. Everything is a sport. Being pregnant is a sport,” Rihanna, who welcomed a son with A$AP Rocky in May, said. “For me, it was about fit and fabric, and I let Adam play with everything else. The pieces are sexy and snatch you, but it’s functional, and that’s what describes the whole Sport collection. Sexy. Functional. Fashion.”

For his part, Adam didn’t want the designs to become too “techy.” And while he used technical, breathable fabrics which allow the wearer to get the most out of their sportswear, Adam made sure the essence of Savage X Fenty was still at the forefront of the clothes.

“Sometimes, when innovation and technology are used in activewear, it gets very techy – I wanted to keep it invisible and sexy, so you feel it, but without noticing it visually,” he explained. “It has all the things we know and love from Savage X Fenty – it’s disruptive, inclusive, bold, and sexy, while still being powerful and playful at the same time.”

EXCLUSIVE: Mannie Fresh Opens Up About “Vax That Thang Up” Backlash

Once the COVID-19 pandemic began its rampage across the United States in March 2020, the race to find a vaccine was on. Some people were vehemently against it, while others couldn’t wait for any kind of protection from the coronavirus.

Producer Mannie Fresh—well known for his work with Lil Wayne and producing Juvenile’s 1998 hit “Back That Azz Up”—fell in the latter category. In fact, he was so in favor of the COVID-19 vaccine, he made a video about it. In July 2021, Mannie Fresh, Juvenile and Mia X convened for a remake of “Back That Azz Up” called “Vax That Thang Up.” As the title suggests, it served as a pro-vaccine anthem solely created in hopes of convincing people to get the shot.

Speaking to AllHipHop, Mannie Fresh reflected on the backlash he received after its release. He admitted he was baffled by some people’s reactions, considering the lyrics to the original song weren’t exactly “cancel culture” friendly.

“When we did the ‘Vax That Thang Up’ song or whatever, it wasn’t a song—it was just a parody telling people to get vaccinated,” he explained. “But it was something that I believed in and I was saying to folks, ‘If you don’t, it’s OK. You don’t have to go and do this. It’s not that serious.’ But there were people saying, ‘You destroyed the song and this song was the greatest song!’ And I’m like, ‘Do you know the title of the song?’ It’s called ‘Back That Azz Up.’ I’m like, ‘Did you listen to the lyrics of this song?'”

Seeing people lose their minds over “Vax That Thang Up” taught Mannie Fresh a valuable lesson about cyber-bullying, something he didn’t really experience until the video was released.

“I never understood cyber-bullying until that came out,” he added. “It didn’t mess with me because I feel like I’m a strong person. But I know kids got to go through this s### sometimes with people. If you got to go through that, it’s tough because folks was going crazy. They really felt angry. They were saying stuff like, ‘You ruined my childhood by doing this’ and blah, blah, blah. You need therapy if this ruined your life [laughs].”

A post shared by Mannie Figgie Fresh (@manniefresh)

But that’s all in the past—Mannie Fresh is focused on the future, which includes his upcoming collaborative album with The Cool Kids, more work with Lil Wayne and his own project.

“I’m working with Lil Wayne, of course, 2 Chainz,” he said. “I’m actually going to put out some music again, just some Mannie Fresh stuff. It takes a long time for you to get the confidence to say, ‘You know what? I’m not really doing this for the masses or for money.’ It’s just like, if I like what I’m doing, then it’ll take itself.

“I know what happens because I’ve been in deals where I have to walk away because of creative differences, where the label was trying to tell me what to do and I’m just like, ‘You’re killing the art. You can’t tell me this is what’s going on right now and the way I should do it.’ That’s not me. It took a while for me to realize Mannie Fresh don’t belong with a record company. It’s just Mannie Fresh has got to put records out.”

Kim Kardashian Drinking More Liquor In Wake Of Ye Controversies

Kim Kardashian has started drinking alcohol more frequently.

The reality TV star has famously never been a big alcohol drinker, with her sister Khloé once declaring in an interview that Kim “does not drink alcohol whatsoever” because she has “just never been into it.”

Kim, who occasionally makes exceptions at parties and on holidays, revealed to Gwyneth Paltrow on The goop Podcast that she enjoys alcohol more frequently now.

Detailing her routine, the SKIMS founder said, “And then I go to bed early or, you know, I started to drink a little bit at the age of 42… I feel like I’ve just got to let loose a little bit… Because, why not?”

The Kardashians star explained that she works so hard running her businesses and looking after her four children every day that having a drink with friends is sometimes a fun way to decompress.

“I just don’t ever feel comfortable laying around doing nothing so my version of that has been to spend some time with my friends and have a drink and stay out a little bit later when I probably wouldn’t have done that before. Even if I’m a little bit tired the next day in my workout, just that time has been so much fun,” she smiled.

Kim noted that she wouldn’t drink booze on a daily basis because her go-to beverage is hard liquor.

“Just tequila, (it) just has to be a little shot of pineapple and a shot of tequila. Two shots, and I’m so good,” she added.

Babyface Recalls Mediating Recording Session For Mariah Carey And Whitney Houston

Babyface has recalled how he once served as a mediator between Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston in the recording studio.

The superstars recorded a pop version of “When You Believe” from the 1998 animated movie “The Prince of Egypt,” with the ballad winning widespread acclaim.

But during an interview with Vulture, Babyface – real name Kenneth Edmonds – recounted how there was tension between the two women, and they ended up recording separately.

“Well, they did not record together. It was done separately. The one great thing that came out of that, more than anything, is that I was asked to be the producer because they both asked for me, and neither of them were going to do it, from what I understand, unless I was the producer,” the legendary R&B producer shared.

“Mariah’s producer was Walter Afanasieff at the time and did most of her stuff, and Whitney’s was David Foster. So neither one of them trusted those producers; Whitney wouldn’t have trusted Walter, and Mariah wouldn’t have trusted David.”

Before the collaboration, Houston had worked with Babyface on her album, My Love Is Your Love.

Accordingly, the singer-songwriter felt like he was the neutral voice on set.

“I was Switzerland, and I was able to go in there, and they both felt safe that I would do the best for them. It was a little bit of work to get to that point,” he added. “We had a photo op together where they were in the studio together, but they did not sing together that time.”

Houston died at the age of 48 in 2012.

Chuck D: “Public Enemy Were Harassed By The Police More Than Anyone In Music”

Chuck D believes Public Enemy got a tougher time from law enforcement than any other artist. The politically focused hip-hop group rose to fame in the late 1980s alongside gangsta rap originators N.W.A, who were also periodically in conflict with law enforcement due to their own uncompromising lyrics tackling police brutality and racism.

However, in a fan-led interview with The Guardian, Chuck D said his group faced the worst of the government backlash to music that was critical of American society.

“I don’t know about intimidation, but, yeah, probably more than anybody in music,” he said when asked how much “police harassment and FBI intimidation” Public Enemy received.

The “Fight the Power” legend went on to say he’s not bitter about his treatment as it helped fuel his creativity.

“It’s nothing to be annoyed by,” the 62-year-old added. “It’s what it is. The most I could do was to make songs about it. On Public Enemy’s first album, Yo! Bum Rush the Show, we said the governments are responsible. Governments plural because governments like to split up human beings, but music likes to unite people.”

Despite Public Enemy’s success, hip-hop acts have generally taken a less political path since their heyday, a shift he sees as down to the nature of the music industry.

“The revolution can’t be sold,” he added. “It can’t be marketed the way other music is marketed; it has to be given to the people. We had the blessing of right age, right place, right time.”

Yo Gotti & Angela Simmons Make Their Romance Instagram Official

Yo Gotti has tried for years to woo Angela Simmons into his arms, but she repeatedly rebuffed his advances. Now, it looks like the Collective Music Group founder can finally celebrate—the two are officially an item. On Saturday (December 31), Simmons shared a series of Instagram photos to her account showing the couple celebrating New Year’s Eve.

Dressed to the nines in all black and dripping with diamonds, they drank champagne and posed with a black Rolls-Royce. In one of the photos, Yo Gotti holds an umbrella for Simmons to shield her from the rain. The caption on the post says it all: “You are all I need and more.”

Yo Gotti has been carrying a torch for Angela Simmons since at least 2015 when he released “Down In The DMs.” As he raps in the song: “And I just followed Angela (Simmons) / Boy, I got a crush on Angela Simmons/ They like, ‘Damn, Gotti, you bold’ (bold)/ F–k it, I’m gon’ let the world know (goals).”

Rumors the two had finally linked up started swirling in September when they celebrated Simmons’ 35th birthday together in Miami. The following month, the budding couple enjoyed a trip to Dubai where they rode camels and ATVs in the desert.

To commemorate the occasion, Yo Gotti shared a video of their New Year’s Eve shenanigans to his Instagram account and bragged about his apparent “victory.” In the clip, he can be heard wishing Simmons a “Happy New Year” and telling her she “looks good.” He added in the caption: “Ain loss a crush since High School.” In a second post, Yo Gotti is photographed grabbing Simmons’ rear, making it crystal clear they’re more than friends (finally). Master P & Son Romeo Miller Make Peace Following Vicious Public Feud

Master P and his eldest son, Romeo Miller, have made peace following a vicious public feud. The two shared matching photos to their respective Instagram accounts on Saturday (December 31) explaining they’d had a long, fruitful conversation that resulted in a truce.

“In order to be used, you have to be willing to be misunderstood and humiliated sometimes,” Miller wrote in the caption. “Noah was mocked for building the boat, Jairus showed us that sometimes we have to be willing to walk through the dead places so that God could show us how he can use every situation. No one ever thought little David could defeat the giant, and we all know the mistreatment of Jesus. My point, I’m willing to fall on my sword for mines!

“It was never about parent vs child, or this false narrative or that, it was about doing whatever had to be done for the growth of my family. Today, December 31, me and my father @masterp had very hard conversations; ironically outside in the rain. In order for any generation to grow, that communication has to be had and reciprocated on both sides. The good, the bad, and the ugly. No matter the journey ahead, our family can truly begin to heal and I believe many others will use our story as an example to learn from. What a way to close the year! Vivre (live) l’amour (love) et pardonner (forgive).”

He ended his post with the hashtag #ForTyTy,” a nod to his little sister Tytyana Miller who died of a drug overdose earlier this year.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm2kU5wvEGR/?hl=en

Master P appeared relived he and Romeo Miller were finally able to move forward with more clarity. As he wrote in his caption, “Happy New Years 2023 is all about ‘forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.. Pressing toward the Goal.’ Philippians 3:13. As a parent, I’m growing, taking self-accountability and educating my family and the next generation. Love takes growth and forgiveness. Seek God first, and everything else will fall into place. @romeomiller and to all of my kids We All We Got!”

A post shared by Master P (@masterp)

Master P and Romeo Miller indicated they were having problems earlier this month. On December 18, the No Limit boss admitted he hadn’t spoken to his son in months in a since-deleted Instagram post.

“I wouldn’t wish this on no parent, especially when you try to do everything you can for your kids,” he wrote at the time. “@romeomiller What’s the plan? You are either part of the problem or the solution. I love you and the door is always open for you but I won’t tolerate disrespect. I haven’t talked to you or seen you in months. God knows I’ve tried to do my best.”

Miller fired back with numerous social media posts, suggesting Master P has had a habit of lying to him. He wrote: “This year I will get my first Rap Snacks check and finally start receiving my earnings from my bags. I was told as kid that we owned Rap Snacks, and that my payday would come after put in work and sold company, silly me! I promoted a company for free for 15+ years based on the word of my pops, without being allowed to see any contracts or even meet with the team, and I stayed loyal … but I’m entitled and ungrateful now?”

Master P later accused Miller of treating him like an “ATM machine” as the fight dragged on. For now, it seems the two are back in each other’s good graces and ready to conquer 2023 as a family unit.

Uncle Murda Disses Gunna, Megan Thee Stallion, Freddie Gibbs & Will Smith, Drags Ye & Calls Kim K. A “B####” On “Rap Up 2023”

Uncle Murda trashed a number of rappers during his annual 2023, which clocks in at 15 minutes. This might be his best one yet!

Rapper Uncle Murda released his annual year-end review song, “Rap Up 2023,” on Sunday (January 1). The Brooklyn rapper provided a street perspective as a year-end review of the events that occurred in the past year, starting off over Jodeci’s “Can I Talk To You” by Jodeci.

This year’s song, “Rap Up 2023,” is a long 15 minutes since so much happened in 2022!

First and foremost, Uncle Murda tackles the elephant in the room: Will Smith’s infamous Chris Rock slap at the Oscars. After apologizing to Will Smith over 2021’s “Rap Up,” Uncle Murda was back on Smith’s head.

He even brought up Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett’s battle with alopecia again, but the real bars were directed at August Alsina. Uncle Murda found it ironic Pinkett had an affair with the singer, who ended up admitting he was gay in 2022.

Last year, Uncle Murda predicted Lil Nas X would get AIDS and this year, he claims Alsina will catch Monkey Pox after the disease spread through the gay community.

Uncle Murda also claimed Kanye West lost his mind after Pete Davidson stole the rapper’s “b####” Kim Kardashian—and that’s why Ye went off on Jews and blew his $2 billion fortune by losing deals with GAP, Balenciaga and Adidas.

Freddie Gibbs ended up getting dissed by Uncle Murda for getting beat up and robbed in Buffalo by Griselda members. Irv Gotti caught some strays and was accused of being “corny” for blabbing about his affair with Ashanti.

Uncle Murda also trashes Gunna and calls him a snitch for taking a deal to gain his freedom as Young Thug sits in jail. He also clowned Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez and Pardison Fontaine for not knowing his lady slept with the other rappers.

He then calls T.I. a snitch and makes fun of the Atlanta rapper for trying to be a comedian while claiming the U.S. lost to Russia for trading “Juwanna Mann,” aka Britney Griner, for Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout.

Uncle Murda had a few bars for Benzino too, after he was supposedly caught in a controversy with a transvestite after a phone call leaked.

Overall, “Rap Up” is a must-listen for anyone looking to laugh their way through the craziness of 2022. So go ahead and give it a spin, and let Uncle Murda help you wrap up this wild year with a smile and a few laughs.

Mystery Surrounds Removal Of PartyNextDoor’s Music From Spotify And Apple Music

Fans of PartyNextDoor were left disappointed and confused on New Year’s Eve because his entire discography was inexplicably removed from popular streaming platforms Spotify and Apple Music.

The news made #PartyNextDoor trend on Twitter as fans tried to figure out what was happening.

Some suspected it was due to a dispute with the musician’s record label, OVO Sounds, while others speculated that it was all part of a marketing ploy.

However, for PartyNextDoor’s fans, the news was a terrible way to end 2022.

Many took to social media to express their dismay and frustration, saying they felt “betrayed” by the sudden removal of the musician’s music.

Earlier this month, Diddy surprised fans with a new single with PartyNextDoor titled ‘Sex in the Porsche,” which is still available.

However, the issue is more than just with PartyNextDoor’s music.

Fans of OVO Sound artists were left scratching their heads as albums from dvsn, Roy Woods, and Majid Jordan also suddenly vanished.

The disappearance of the music, which occurred for no known reason yet, has caused mass confusion.

Despite the removals, there has yet to be an official statement from OVO Sound or the artists regarding the disappearance of the music.

Drake formed OVO Sound after the release of Drake’s third studio album, Nothing Was the Same, in 2012.

The rap mega-star joined forces with long-time collaborators Noah “40” Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib to officially launch the record label.

Until more information becomes available, fans will have to continue to wait and wonder about the reason behind the sudden removal of their favorite artists’ music from streaming platforms.

EXCLUSIVE: XXXTENTACION Murder Suspect Demands Drake & Akademiks Testify At Trial

XXXTENTACION murder suspect, Dedrick Williams, wants Drake to testify at trial. According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Williams and his attorney, Mauricio Padilla, filed a motion requesting Drake’s participation.

The docs read, “The testimony of the said Aubrey Drake Graham is material to the case, and it is
necessary to take the deposition of the said Aubrey Drake Graham to prevent the failure of justice.”

While Padilla acknowledges Drake is a “international celebrity” who may be difficult to serve, he wants the Honorable Court to enter an order for Drake’s testimony to be taken before an official court reporter.

But that’s not all. Padilla is also requesting the testimony of one Livingston Allen—better known as Akademiks. As the court docs explain, multiple attempts have been made to haul him in for a deposition to no avail.

“Mr. Allen was properly served for a deposition and failed to appear on October 26, 2022,” the paperwork states. “Defense obtained a CNA for said date. Mr. Allen was properly served with a Trial Subpoena in this case. The undersigned has taken steps to serve him with another subpoena for January 5, 2023. The process server has indicated that despite there being cars outside the home and people inside the home, they are refusing to open the door.

“Mr. Allen, who goes by the stage name ‘DJ Akademiks’ posted his podcast on December 21, where he openly discusses the case, acknowledges being served and states, ‘I am not showing up to court to talk to y’all n****s’. It is clear that nothing short of a court order will ensure Mr. Allen’s participation in a deposition.”

The paperwork concludes, “The defendant is indigent and further attempts to serve Mr. Allen would be an unnecessary financial burden as he has already indicated publicly that he will not voluntarily be part of the process.”

As for Drake, Padilla believes he’s somehow connected to XXXTENTACION’s 2018 murder outside of RIVA Motorsports. Earlier this month, Padilla filed paperwork suggesting Drake raps about it in some of his lyrics. He cited “On BS” from Drake’s latest album Her Loss in which he raps: “Maybe I should break that 10, do a five, then if it gets live, do a five again/If he held his tongue on that live, he’d be alive again, damn/I never put no prices on the beef until we end this s###.”

Williams and his legal team allege the beef between XXXTENTACION and Drake started in 2017 after the OVO Sound founder released the song “KMT.” XXXTENTACION accused Drake of stealing his cadence and began harassing him on social media, a possible motive for Drake to get involved.

Singer Rasheeda Wallace Takes Her “Street Soul” To The Masses After Playing The Background

Rasheeda Wallace is a modern-day Renaissance woman. She is well known to play the background, behind many of the biggest names in music, entertainment and social media as a public relations and branding consultant. Recently, she has yielded to her calling as a singer-songwriter leveraging her work with Chaka Khan and a host of other Grammy winning artists and producers. Now, she moves forward into her own greatness with a new single, “Rafters.” We chatted with the very grown and very sexy New York native to gather how she found her way after helping so many on their journeys.

AllHipHop: Tell us how you transitioned into an artist.

Rasheeda Wallace: Well, first I was born to sing . I discovered my own talent at the age of 12 . I then pursued my music endeavor when I hit 13 years of age.  I, then won the Apollo show 3 times and I knew then that I would be rocking stages everywhere and this is what I really wanted to do.  I stepped in the Marketing and branding world because I wasn’t getting the support I needed.  I learned what was needed to be successful in the business so I started seeing others who needed help so I started putting my energy into their careers when I wasn’t receiving it for myself.

AllHipHop: Have people accepted this new version of you?

Rasheeda Wallace: Yes, I’m getting alot of love from new people that I’ve met recently and a few fans from back in the day but there are alot of people that didn’t know that I sing because I was putting my PR/ Marketing executive hat on and doing my thing in that arena.  But, now I’m back baby and showing every creative and business part of me.

AllHipHop: What resistance have you encountered?

Rasheeda Wallace: I have encountered some hateration from people that found out that I blow it down on the mic and it’s weird.  I have also encountered people that didn’t fully believe in me in the early 2000s are now more supportive because they see thicker and fuller women in the limelight. Shout out to Lizzo and other emerging artists.  It’s sad that I had to encounter prejudices in this business when I started.  There were always words that were said to me like “you’re cute in the face,” and “you’re a pretty girl but..you gotta lose the weight” and stuff like that.

AllHipHop: How do you explain your singing style?

Rasheeda Wallace: My singing style is what I call “Street Soul,” which I started that in 2003/2004 when I first started recording my first EP.  The sound is a raw edgy, but sultry feel.

AllHipHop In your opinion, is R&B dead? Do you feel like you will help push it forward?

Rasheeda Wallace: No, I don’t believe that R&B is dead at all.  I believe if artists stop copying the new trappy non-singing sound and labels keep pushing the same ol’ sh#t, we can do amazing things.

AllHipHop: Who are your top 5 Dead or Alive singers?

Rasheeda Wallace: My top 5 – not in order – are”

Mary J. Blige, because of her grit and feeling in every word she sings.

Chaka Khan for her sultry range is second to none.

Ledisi, people sleep on her soulful voice.

Lauryn Hill. I love her tone and her vocal runs, her writing style and versatility.

Jazmine Sullivan is just getting her respect for her her down-to-Earth relatability and forwardness

AllHipHop: What are your ultimate goals?

Rasheeda Wallace: You seem like you are hustling in many directions?

My ultimate goal is to create a world that I can have people live in through my eyes, sounds and experiences.  That’s through creating good dope ass classic music, inspiring and motivating others by teaching how to Get into Land buying and developing while owning and also helping other progress in their careers such as I did through my marketing branding and Public relations services over 8 years ago.   So my hustle is not a hustle itsa a lifestyle.  I make sure whatever I do I manifest it, believe it and walk in my purpose just knowing that it shall be done.  So it’s music, Acting, modeling, land developing and opening up essential businesses, producing TV shows etc.

Westside Gunn Reveals Eastside Flip—Who Graces The “10” Album Cover—Overdosed

Westside Gunn is undoubtedly impressed by a particular Buffalo native who seems to have at least nine lives. On Saturday (December 31), the Griselda mastermind revealed Eastside Flip—the man who graces the 10 album cover—had overdosed. While Flip survived, his saga was evidently just beginning. As Westside Gunn explained in a tweet: “Flip OD’d on the Block, took to the hospital brought back to life, was released. Then got locked up and already out since last night #LEGEND #EASTSIDEBUFFALOSHIT.”

Speaking to AllHipHop last month, Westside Gunn talked about Eastside Flip’s penchant for drugs and debauchery.

“He’s been on a lot of my projects as skits,” he said at the time. “He’s my guy. He’s just the neighborhood fiend, a bit of a crackhead, but he’s a cool dude. I took him down to Miami Art Basal last year. He got arrested and everything. He hit a cop. He’s crazy. I’m actually going to see him today. He’s crazy as f### though. We shooting a video today and he’s just a loose cannon. Everybody in my whole city knows Flip.”

In fact, Eastside Flip has his own Instagram account and apparently raps. As one person noted in the comments: “I wish flip could get clean and take rap serious and rap with Griselda as a lil career for him, have him become a motivational speaker to the fiends in the hood of Buffalo and all over! He could start programs and shelters for the homeless and former drug addicts.”

Whether Eastside Flip will take another route remains to be seen, but it appears Westside Gunn is ready for a change. On Friday (December 30), Westside announced he was retiring in a series of tweets.

“23’ def my last year doing this s###,” he wrote. “I don’t have nothing else 2prove, I put my team on, I put my city on, I worked w/everybody I ever wanted to work with, plus MFs still don’t even understand 1-10, FLYGOD, Awesome GOD, or Pray for Paris(mind u Virgil did the cover) im the [GOAT].”

He continued: “I know I say I’m a retire all the time so ppl might be like he always say this,” he wrote. “Seriously I been thru so much with this s### behind closed doors y’all would never know, it’s brought more pain than joy I’m just so G that I make it look super easy but I fight these devils everyday.”

Before Westside Gunn officially bids adieu to rapping, he has a few loose ends to tie up. In honor of Eastside Flip, he decided to post a snippet of his forthcoming video for “Super Kick Party,” which stars—yep!—Eastside Flip. Watch it below.
