Anita Baker Thanks Chance The Rapper For Helping Her Acquire Her Masters

Anita Baker owns her masters, and according to the legendary soul singer, it’s all thanks to Chance The Rapper, who helped her acquire them.  

Chance The Rapper was in the audience at a recent show when Anita Baker called him up onstage to thank him.  

“You should say hello to a friend of mine by way of the music industry and by way of helping me, helping me to get a hold and ownership of my master recordings,” Anita Baker said in footage circulating online. Chance then stood up and thanked the cheering audience for their praise.  

He later retweeted the video of Anita Baker thanking him and celebrated the singer and her incredible show.  

“I saw one of THE greatest performances of my LIFETIME last night,” Chance wrote. “Thank you so much @IAMANITABAKER for being an inspiration and an icon to so many of US.” 

Then, in response, Anita revealed her surprise that Chance was at her show. “Had no idea you would be in our Midst. Such a nice Surprise. Brought Tears, to my eyes,” she admitted. “Hope Ms. Essence enjoyed her Birthday ABXO.” 

However, their exchange continued with Chance thanking Anita Baker for her personal touch in remembering his friend. “WOW the fact that you remembered my friends name AND that it was her birthday just echoes what an INCREDIBLE PERSON you are on top of all that you’ve given artistically. Honored and blessed to call you friend miss @IAMANITABAKER.” 

Anita Baker Says “Impossible Things Happen”

Anita Baker announced she regained control of her master recordings last September. She celebrated the achievement on social media, though she never mentioned the assistance from Chance.  

“All My Children Are Coming Home,” the icon tweeted. “Impossible Things Happen… Every. Single. Day.” 

She shared an image of her first five albums, 1983’s The Songstress, 1986’s Rapture, 1988’s Giving You The Best That I Got, 1990’s Compositions, and 1994’s Rhythm of Love. 

Alezo Valentino Is Ready To Take On The World

Alezo Valentino released his song last year 2021. The morning after Alezo Valentino released the song he checked the stats and noticed the song had thousands of views on YouTube. He was reeling from the excitement. “There are so many people that drop songs on YouTube every second and for my song to go viral was really big for me, I’ve just been really happy celebrating,” he says, calling from his vacation hotel. “I’m still a little out of it because we went out and celebrated now, I’m back at the hotel.

The whole past year 2021 was somewhat of a whirlwind for Alezo Valentino. He began doing live shows 2020 and when he was starting to get more comfortable on stage his manager booked a bigger venue but it was cancelled because of the pandemic, so he ended up recording the single Cae La Noche instead. The record has no feature on it and has done well on the YouTube charts. It is now at over 106k views on the social media platform.

Now, Alezo Valentino is ready to make more moves. Growing up, he had dreams of being a Hockey or Football player; he even made a bid to play on a college team in the U.S. because he was offered scholarships at several Universities before an injury cut his career short and he pivoted to music. Some of his early work made it seem as though he would be at the forefront of a PoP/R&B wave in Spanish-language music, with lighter, melody-driven songs drawing on his love of performers like Michael Jackson.

But he also played with trap, an early indicator of the eclecticism he wanted to indulge in, and his recent songs have continued to spotlight Pop and reggaeton.“I couldn’t do reggaeton,” he says. “I’ve always been listening to Pop and Reggaeton music, and when I released my latest reggaeton track, people went crazy.”

Alezo Valentino prefers home studios where he can hole up for days and come up with ideas. That’s mostly how he spent the last few months of 2021, apart from hanging out with his friends and occasionally jet-skiing with his friends. The better part of his hours are spent on music, and he already has some track ideas lined up for 2022. “I have Electro mixed with Pop and R&B even music that’s a bit more classic because I’m a huge fan of that kind of music, thanks to my parents,” he says. Both of his parents were really into all kind of music genres, and would always play loud music in their home. Music such as Michael Jackson, Rock music, electro music. Alezo Valentino says he love to explore different genres of music. “Fusing modern styles with past roots is something that to me is really beautiful and innovative,” he adds.

He’d also like to collaborate with other artists, But the most important thing is to keep the momentum he has going. He can feel the gears shifting now: His music is resonating with people and he gets a lot of messages on social media about how much people loves his music. “We’re in a different position, where people know my music more, I have a lot of songs stored on a hard drive on the list that will be released very soon’’ he says.

Mo’Nique & D.L. Hughley Continue Calling Each Other Out Over Headline Dispute

Mo’nique and D.L. Hughley have continued their contract disagreement online after a dispute over who was the headliner for a comedy show the weekend.  

AllHipHop reported the initial back and forth after Mo’Nique blasted the comedian onstage at The Comedy Explosion in Detroit, Michigan, on Saturday night (May 28). She claimed she was due to headline the event, although D.L. Hughley said he was always the headliner. 

Mo’Nique Says “Show Your Contract Or Be Quiet”

However, Mo’Nique claims he used ticket stubs as evidence he was the headliner because he doesn’t have a contract, “like I do.” 

“Either show your contract or be quiet,” she said on Instagram, sharing D.L. Hughley’s post, adding he is “the reason why I fight for my people like I do.” She also claimed him thinking he should close the show over her “is a prime example of the bias that black women have to deal with in this business.”

D.L. Hughley Posts His Deal Memo

In response, D.L. Hughley posted some receipts of his own, declaring, “After this… I don’t want hear no mo’ about this✌🏾here it is in black & white!!” he penned, posting his deal memo.  

He called attention to a few details of the agreement which support his claims. According to the comedian, the deal stipulates he is the “headliner,” and the “highest paid artist on show.” Additionally, the document grants him “approval of lineup” and lists him as the closing act.  

“Receipts > opinions,” he continued. “I got everything that was stated in my contract… everything. But let’s say I didn’t, my beef wouldn’t be with anyone but the promoter and/or my team and I damn sure wouldn’t make it personal. If you have a problem, take it up with management and by that I mean yours✌🏾”

Mo’Nique Asks Where’s The Signed Agreement?

Nonetheless, Mo’Nique fired back, calling him out for posting his “’Deal Memo,’ versus his ‘Performance Agreement,‘“ before posting her own. She also shared “emails and texts confirming that as per usual I’m going to always keep it real and honest with my people.” Mo’Nique then questioned the absence of signatures on his agreement, saying it is further proof it’s not a genuine agreement.  

Furthermore, she said she checked with management as he instructed her, “and this is what I came up with,” before accusing him of “trying to pass a deal memo off as a contract.”  

She continued, “the promoter already told my team before the show that you didn’t have a signed agreement.” she also challenged him to post his “signed agreement,” before listing the evidence to support her claims before asking, “Can you say receipts? LOL”

Still, D.L. Hughley came back with another response questioning Mo’Nique’s“Hick’s Media Inc” contract. “Hold up!! That’s you!!! You reallly showing everyone a contract you submitted from your own company🤣🤣🤣🤣” he asked. “I smell b####### and I wouldn’t pick it up with the old ass birth certificate paper it was written on!! “ 

He added, “Stop the 🧢!!” before relisting his own deal stipulations. “Now explain to me how my s### was delivered on and yours wasn’t?? Sounds to me like your problem is with “hicks media inc”. Can we please implement the 3 knockdown rule?? 💥🥊 “ he concluded.

Joe Budden Finds Himself In Another Rap “Beef”

Snoop Dogg Cancels European And Australian Tour Dates

Snoop Dogg has cancelled all of his upcoming 2022 concerts outside the United States.

On Sunday, a statement on the rapper’s social media accounts announced Snoop would not be able to make any of his upcoming 2022 concerts unless they were in the United States.

A representative for Snoop wrote, “Dear friends and fans, Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, including family obligations and upcoming tv and film projects, Snoop Dogg regrets he is cancelling all upcoming non-US tour dates for the remainder of 2022.”

The statement continued, “He was excited to see all his fans around the world and apologies to all that had already made plans to see his show. He looks forward to rescheduling dates in the future.”

No new dates for any of Snoop’s scheduled non-U.S. concerts have been announced.

After clarifying that refunds would be available for affected ticketholders at the point of purchase, the statement concluded, “Snoop Dogg is still committed to his remaining US tour dates for the rest of 2022.”

The “Gin and Juice” hitmaker was scheduled to perform at locations across Europe from August 26th until September 19tg and in Australia between October 26th and November 1st.

Tai Dinero is a 19-year-old hip-hop music artist from Philadelphia, PA whose songs are making an impact in the rap underground. Ever since the age of 8, Tai has aspired to fulfill his musical dreams by following in his older brother’s footsteps and entering the music industry. Since he was young he was taught to write poetry and turn it into song. The Kid LAROI Says Scammers Are Targeting His Fortune

The past two years have been groundbreaking for the career of rap star, The Kid LAROI.

The Australian rapper’s release F**k Love hit the top of the charts in August of 2021, while the song “Stay” with Justin Bieber also shot to the top.

The rapper, who recently partnered with McDonald’s, is back In his home country of Australia on his “End Of The World Tour.”

Like many artists, The Kid LAROI is dealing with the fallout of his newfound fame and wealth.

During an interview on “The Fitzy and Wippa Show,” The Kid LAROI revealed being famous has brought all kinds of people out of the woodwork.

“I’ve had all types of f**kers come out the woodwork,l. You don’t speak to these people for years and all of sudden it’s like, “I’ve always believed in you,” and it’s like, “No, you didn’t,”‘ he told local radio Fitzy and Wippa during an interview The Daily Mail reports.

The Kid LAROI, who was mentored by late rapper Juice Wrld, revealed people have also been begging him for money.

Thankfully, the 18-year-old seems to have his head on straight and appears to be handling his money wisely.

“I’ve had people come out who I have known for three weeks [saying], “Bro, you just gonna leave me?” And I’m like, “I don’t have to give you anything. I don’t even know you like that.'”

Last week, the rapper was hit with a multi-million dollar lawsuit by his ex-managers, who claim they were cheated out of their portion of the prophets from The Kid LAROI’s uber-successful career.

The rapper recently struck a deal with power manager Scooter Braun, who has handled the careers of artists like Kanye West, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, and others. 

The Kid LAROI is currently on the Australian leg of his “End Of The World Tour,” which has already sold-out.

Lil Durk recently paid her to his fall and homeboys, King Von and D Thang. It’s very sad to see that these young guys are dying so fast. But Durk spared no expense or paying his respects.

First of all he got his legs tatted up in homage of both of his men. And then on top of that, he put language underneath some of which was in Arabic. Both sang rest in peace to those gentlemen.

And then, on the back he did some thing that looks extremely painful. He tattooed a huge skull on the back of his body. The skull reportedly took a full work day – eight hours!

This is a skull of the heavy-metal variety, not something pretty. It is a tellin condemnation of the music in which makes these guys so rich and famous and yet also result in so much pain and death. John Legend Explains How Kanye’s Success Prepared Him For Fame

John Legend felt prepared for success as he witnessed his good friend Kanye West skyrocket to fame in the early 2000s.

The “All of Me” hitmaker moved to New York in 2000 to try and get a record deal and his roommate introduced him to Ye the following year.

They worked together on each other’s demos for their debut albums and John Legend stood by as Kanye West found critical and commercial success with The College Dropout in early 2004.

Reflecting on their early friendship in an interview with The Guardian, John Legend explained that watching West’s rise helped get him ready for his own.

“Me and Kanye were working on each other’s demos – mine, which would become Get Lifted, and his, which would be The College Dropout,” he said. “Being with Kanye and witnessing him blow up in the early days helped prepare me for what would happen. When success finally happened for me, I felt like I was able to not be overwhelmed by it.”

John Legend recalled how having writing credits on The College Dropout made him immediately more attractive to record labels who had brushed him off before.

“I would get told ‘no’ by a lot of people in the industry,” he shared. “I’d get really lowball offers for record deals or people would tell me to work more on my demo.

“Finally, The College Dropout came out in 2004 and it just took off. That’s when the music from “Get Lifted* started to sound a lot better to all the record execs.”

Legend signed with West’s G.O.O.D. Music label and released Get Lifted later that year.

He declined to comment on the current state of friendship with the rapper following their feud over political differences several years ago.

Kendrick Lamar Has 500 Unreleased Songs On A Hard Drive…His Plan!

Kendrick Lamar has over 500 songs in a hard drive that he can’t seem to fix.

In an interview with Big Boy, the West Coast interview OG, he talked about having a vault of songs. At first he said he had thousands of songs that have been unreleased. And then he switched it up to say there were about 500 songs. Either way, yes!

He said the songs are lost in a hard drive that has some issues and they cannot retrieve the data. But, Big Boy said that he could get it off for him and begin to negotiate immediately. He said that he would do it if K-Dot gave him a free concert for his kids. Kendrick did agree to that.

I don’t know how far they’ll take this, but imagine a bunch of new songs from Kendrick Lamar! I can’t imagine! I am still buzzing off Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, but I will certainly take that.

By the way this was done in a live feed on Kendrick’s own YouTube page, so I believe it is actually an older interview that was re-released. And he expanded on a number of things surrounding his music, but the new album was not mentioned. This is an amazing interview, and really allows him to expound on the depth of his artistry. BUT, it seemed like it was an oldie, but goodie!

I wonder if Top Dawg will claim ownership of those songs? Either way, I am sure they will work it out.

ASSASSINATED: Punjabi Rapper Turned Politician Sidhu Moose Wala Killed In  India

Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala, who dropped the mic to make laws for the people in the Mansa district of India’s Punjab state, was shot and killed on Sunday, May 29th around 5:30 p.m. at the age of 28.

According to CNN, two cars pulled up on the raptivist’s vehicle from the front and opened fire.

Punjab police chief Viresh Kumar Bhawra said typically Moose Wala, who has 8 million followers on Instagram, rolled with four commandos.

However, on this day, two had been reassigned to cover the anniversary of a Sikh massacre. He also had access to two armed security guards and a bulletproof car but chose to move without them.

The shooters emptied out dozens of shots, as approximately 30 casings were found around the crime scene. Reports stay the bullets were fired from at least three different weapons including a 9mm handgun.

After being shot, he was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead.

Police do not know who the unidentified suspects are but believe the murder can be linked to gang violence. A gang member from Canada is said to have claimed responsibility for Moose Wala’s death.

But many believe a rival political party, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has something to do with it.

India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party said in a statement, “Sidhu Moose Wala was gunned down in a state-sponsored murder. The AAP government is totally responsible for this,” 

AAP denies having any connection to the assassination.

In a tweet, Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab chief minister for the AAP, declared, “I am shocked and deeply saddened by the gruesome murder of Sidhu Moose Wala. Nobody involved will be spared. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and his fans across the world. I appeal everyone to stay calm,”

The artist-turned-politician, whose real name was Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, is being mourned far and wide. Megastar Drake posted on his Instagram stories a picture of the artist saying, “RIP Moose.”

Black Eyed Peas and Pitbull are to perform a concert from an ancient volcanic crater.

The superstars have signed on to headline the first-ever Atlantis Concert for Earth, a nonprofit concert and “global conservation celebration” that will take place in the Azores Islands, Portugal on July 22nd and 23rd.

The pristine venue is a natural amphitheater, nestled along two lakes inside an ancient volcano crater.

“Nature is the true headliner at the Atlantis Concert for the Earth,” said will.i.am of Black Eyed Peas. “It is a surreal other-worldly experience to perform on the rim of an extinct volcanic crater to celebrate the rockstars of conservation while using music as a megaphone to call attention to the need for global conservation.”

The line-up also includes Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, Mod Sun, and Girlfriends, with Sting to appear virtually. Nicole Scherzinger is set to host the event.

“I love Concert for Earth’s inclusive mission of finding balance with our planet and leaning into our passions and superpowers to inspire people to become rockstars for Earth! The world is changed by our actions and not our opinions,” she added.

R. Kelly Tries to Avoid Life Sentence By Denying He Used Aaliyah While Claiming He Was Victimized By “Sophisticated” 16-Year-Old

Prosecutors and R. Kelly’s defense team agree on one thing- the singer is heading to prison for a long time.

However, they are fighting over just how much time R. Kelly will have to spend in prison after being convicted of sexual exploitation of a child, racketeering, bribery, and sex trafficking in September of 2021.

The singer was scheduled to be sentenced at the beginning of May for abusing five young girls dating back to 1994 when an associate named Demetrius Smith bribed a government worker so he could marry late singer Aaliyah.

Prosecutors believe R. Kelly should be locked up for life for these crimes. However, his defense team believes the “I Believe I Can Fly” singer deserves a much lighter sentence under Federal guidelines.

R. Kelly’s lawyer Jennifer Bonjean is asking a judge to sentence the singer to anywhere between 14 years and 17.5 years in prison and specifically denied the allegations related to Aaliyah.

“The government’s evidence failed to show that Defendant knew that Demetrius Smith paid money to influence a public aid officer to produce an identification card for Aaliyah. The record is also devoid of any evidence that Defendant used Aaliyah in connection with the bribery. Of course, the bribery committed by Smith produced a fraudulent public aid card for Aaliyah. But it does not follow that Defendant used Aaliyah in the bribery,” Bonjean said.

The singer also claimed a 16-year-old named Jerhonda duped him into believing she was older and that he was the real victim.

“Jerhonda, a sophisticated 16-year-old, took great pains to get close to Defendant, including by misrepresenting her age. Defendant did nothing to seek out Jerhonda,” Bonjean said.

“Jerhonda admits that she falsely told R. Kelly that she was 19 years of age when they engaged in sexual conduct. It is true that Jerhonda claims that she promptly confessed her real age of 16 to R. Kelly immediately after their first sexual encounter; however, even if this is true, Jerhonda’s testimony does not reveal that R. Kelly used any influence, undue or otherwise, to engage in sexual activity with her,” Bonjean argued.

R. Kelly’s lawyer also continued to deny he infected one of his Jane Doe victims with Herpes, which resulted in him being convicted of fraud during the sensational trial.

“Because there is no evidence that Jane was infected with Herpes when she traveled to California with R. Kelly between April 28, 2015, and May 1, 2015, the government cannot show that any harm resulted from his failure to disclose his herpes diagnosis. Indeed, Jane testified that she did not contract Herpes from R. Kelly during this trip. Thus, the government’s fraud theory is patently ridiculous,” the singer’s lawyer asserted.

If R. Kelly does avoid a life sentence and is hit with the maximum prison term the defense is asking for (17.5 years), he would not be freed until he was over 72 years old.

R. Kelly is still facing two more trials.

In August, he will face a jury in Cook County, Illinois, where he is charged with possession of child pornography and obstruction of justice.

The singer also has a trial pending in Minnesota for allegedly engaging in prostitution with a minor.

In the latest of BS, Blueface has allegedly beat up his mother and sister. These people have been fighting for quite some time. Physically fighting? No. Beefing? Yes.

The latest is Blueface stands accused of fighting his mother and sister – Karlissa and Kali – in an all-out brawl who’s toxicity rivals a nuclear cesspool. Understand, you have to have a special type of beef to get out there and actually fight your own flesh and blood, much less the ladies.

However, the rapper has responded with what he calls facts. In those facts, are that his girlfriend – Chrisean Rock – actually beat them up, throwing all the punches. And she was a savage. It seems like she blacked both their eyes and kept pushing. By the way, she has admitted to this.

Chrisean Rock didn’t seem to be particularly happy about having to beat up the mother, but seems like it was a case of self-defense. Nevertheless, the mother and the sister say it was actually Blueface that assaulted them.

Kali said:

“Got jumped y 7 dudes including my brother then Rock ran up after the gang member jumped me and my husband. As you can see I peed on myself, I ain’t never fought 7 n###as before. All I could do was p### on myself. One thing about it, I don’t play a bout my mama. I’d do it all over again. “My husband dead a## tried to fight 7 men and couldn’t help his wife c## they didn’t give af ran through his pockets and car. We got jumped and robbed at my blood brother’s house and you let [that] b##ch jump on your mom like wtf is gangsta about it. Wack 100 said he and his crew are considering a defamation lawsuit against the mother and sister for saying that the rapper was the one that beat them up.

I find it highly interesting that they are saying so much. They are literally putting the full-fledged onus on the girlfriend. I know that Blueface is the financial cornerstone here, but they could always say very little and let the truth speak in a legal sense. AHHHH-WHY AM I TRYING TO MAKE SENSE OF THIS?

I am not saying this is snitching, but it has a weird sort of energy to me. Now, there is the issue of Kali‘s husband. Apparently he had a gun. Blue faces security handled him and KNOCKED him out and there is a video on circulation of him bloodied. And she is standing over him in a very strange and dramatic matter.

All in all, Blueface stayed out of the fight between the ladies and allowed them to have a fair one if you will. But it seems like a fair one just wasn’t in the cards for the mother and the sister, even if it was only one other person (Rock) against them. But they say Blueface was in on it too.

By the way, the husband is now in the hospital with teeth missing and a severe medical condition. Wack 100 was not there for any of this, but he is pushing the narrative that his artist is innocent. Karlissa and Kali say otherwise.

Game Wanted To Manage A Home Depot Prior To Career As Hit A Rapper

Compton rap star Game appeared on the “All The Smoke” podcast hosted by NBA Legends Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson.

Game gave a wide-ranging interview during the 137th episode of the podcast, where he discussed many subjects.

The rapper spoke on several subjects, including fatherhood, the first time he met Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, and his relationship with Kanye West and Eminem.

During the dialogue, Game chatted about his trajectory and original career path before finding his footing as a rapper.

After he was shot five times in 2001 and came out of a coma, Game realized he had to leave the street life behind and do something constructive with his life.

Game came up with a list of options, and rap music was not too high on his list.

In fact, the top goal Game initially had was getting a gig at the Home Depot, with the objective of one day becoming a manager.

“For some reason, I had wrote out in my mind five things that I wanted to do. Number one was like, go apply at Home Depot cause I would just always drive by Home Depot. It would always say ‘now hiring,’ and I figured, you know, one day I probably can manage this thing, then be district manager. I’ll be running Home Depot. I don’t know why I had that idea in my mind, but that was number one,” Game revealed.

The rap star’s second choice was trying his hand at a career playing basketball. However, one of the gunshots in the previous shooting struck his ankle, which thwarted his career from flourishing at Cerritos College, where he briefly attended school.

Number three on Game’s list was to become an internationally known rap star. And even though he felt that was the most unlikely path to success, the choice to pursue a career in music proved wise.

“So rap was number three, which ended up being number one cause it was the easiest to attain. I felt like cause all I would have to do is get this notebook, study some of the greats, and then I would have me some bars. Well, even though I thought it was that easy, it wasn’t,” Game revealed.

The aspiring rapper attended a Hip-Hop Summit hosted by Russell Simmons in Los Angeles, where he first encountered Snoop Dogg. Game revealed he freestyled for Snoop, who gave him props, but that was about it.

He then met pioneering San Francisco rapper/music executive JT the Bigga Figga of Get Low Recordz and recorded his first demos.

Game, armed with his first official recordings, linked up with associates named Darius “D Mac” Rogers and K-Dog, who first introduced him to Sean “Diddy” Combs.

But Game said he never landed a deal with Diddy because all they did was party together. After a year of touring with Diddy, Game said the Bad Boy founder suggested he take his music to Dr. Dre.

The first time Game stepped into the Aftermath Records offices, Game said he ran into Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Eve, Busta Rhymes, and rap God Rakim, who was writing a verse over the beat to what would become “In Da Club” by 50 Cent.

Cardi B shared a video of a yacht sinking while she was on holiday.

The “WAP” rapper tweeted from the beach, where she was on vacation with her husband Offset and their two children Kulture and Wave.

Cardi captured a sinking yacht on camera, captioning the video: “I can’t believe I’m actually watching a yacht sink.”

In the footage, the boat can be seen becoming submerged in the water as Cardi narrates.

“What the f**k! Oh my God. It’s sinking. Y’all see this? Y’all see this?! Oh my God, they can’t do that. Is there no big boat that can save it?” she said. “It’s gone, it’s gone. Bye bye! Bye! Oh my God. It’s gone. It’s gone. Oh my God!”

Later, on her Instagram Stories, Cardi assured fans no one was on the yacht when it began to sink.

Ashanti Joins Aitch Onstage in The U.K For A Surprise Performance Of “Baby”

Ashanti blessed her U.K. fans with a surprise performance at Radio 1’s Big Weekend on Saturday (May 28). 

While U.K. rapper Aitch rocked the stage with a series of performers, including ArrDee and AJ Tracey, he saved the biggest surprise for his closing number. Ashanti came out to sing his recent single, which samples “Rock Wit U (Aww Baby),” her 2003 hit.

Aitch took Ashanti backstage to teach her a few new moves ahead of the performance. He led her through the simple steps for his “Baby” dance before the pair broke out laughing.

The R&B icon shared the video on Instagram when it was released in March. “Awwww Baby! You hear it… @aitch “Baby” avail everywhere Now!” Ashanti wrote on Instagram before teasing, “I’ll be in the UK Soon 👀😜” 

The singer is currently on tour in the U.K., performing across four arena dates this summer, with support from Trey Songz and Mario. The tour commemorates the 20th anniversary of her debut studio album Foolish.  

Last year, as reported by AllHipHop, Ashanti announced she’s re-recording her first studio LP to own her masters. However, Irv Gotti took exception to the move, claiming he was trying to screw him out of his masters. “I own the Masters. And. I Produced all those great Ashanti Albums,” he wrote on Instagram. “So I also own a good portion of the Publishing.” 

Irv Gotti continued, “She can do this under the COVER laws. But she is basically trying to f### me out of my Masters. 

Meanwhile, Ashanti was celebrating more than the 20th anniversary of her debut project last month. She was given her flowers with a coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “It’s still hitting me and I’m still stunned,” she admitted during the ceremony. “This is proof to everyone out there that dreams really do come true.”
