TikTok Denies Fat-Shaming Lizzo And Restores Her Bathing Suit Pics

(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop star Lizzo has had all of her swimwear videos restored on social media site TikTok after suggesting her posts had been removed due to her size.

The “Truth Hurts” hitmaker, who is known for flaunting her curvy figure, slyly shared her frustration about the deleted clips in a post uploaded to the app on Wednesday, in which she was shown having her hair styled while lip-syncing along to a track which repeatedly featured the words “I know.”

She captioned the footage, “TikTok keeps taking down my videos with me in my bathing suits but allows other videos with girls in bathing suits. I wonder why?”

She then addressed site officials directly, adding, “TikTok… we need to talk,” concluding her post with a single angry-looking emoji.

It appears Lizzo’s pointed complaint caught the attention of TikTok bosses, who have since reviewed her content and restored the footage.

A spokesperson for the company said they have been in touch with Lizzo’s representatives, insisting her body type had nothing to do with her video removals.

Instead, they had flagged her clips for what they believed was the flashing of underwear, a violation of TikTok’s community guidelines, but after revisiting the footage, officials realized Lizzo had actually been wearing a bathing suit, and allowed all of her previous body confidence posts to be restored.

LISTEN: Megan Thee Stallion Drops “Suga” Amidst Label War

(AllHipHop News) Rap newcomer Megan Thee Stallion dropped new music today (March 6th) as promised, after a Texas judge shut down her label bosses’ emergency motion to halt its release.

The “Hot Girl Summer” star has been locked in a legal battle with 1501 Certified Entertainment chiefs over the past week, accusing them of trying to block the launch of any new material because she wants to renegotiate an unfair contract she signed five years ago.

Megan was granted a restraining order against 1501 executives on Monday, giving her the green light to move forward with her planned music release.

Label head Carl Crawford filed a request for an emergency hearing on Wednesday, arguing the MC has no right to take them to court.

He insisted the terms of their record deal – the same one Megan, now 25, is seeking to have reworked – are clear in stipulating that any dispute is to be addressed in arbitration.

However, Crawford’s motion to dissolve the temporary protection order was dismissed, paving the way for Megan to share her latest work, a nine-track project called Suga.

In addition to the new batch of music, Megan dropped a new video for her song “B.I.T.C.H.”

Kendrick Lamar Launches A New “At Service” Company

(AllHipHop News) What do you say when there are no words to say?

Surprisingly, a wordsmith like Kendrick Lamar brings that very question to the forefront as he backs a new project called pg-lang.com, that answers with one resounding visual expression, “You create.”

K-Dot took to social to announce his partnership with friend and collaborator Dave Free to present to the world what they are calling an “at service company.”

The press release states that pgLang “is [an] at service to creators and projects that selflessly speak with, and for, the shared experiences that connect us all.”

But if you watch the visual mission statement, you quickly come to realize that the company is more or less a portal for ideas, creating a hub for creatives to do this very novel thing… create.

Starring artistic influencers who clearly think, like Yara Shahidi, Baby Keem and Jorja Smith, you get to see creation start with the nucleus of all creation, “thought.”

Directed by Dave Free, scored by Florence Welch and Kamasi Washington, the mini-movie pushes you to abandon your notion of a typical campaign roll-out and embrace something new.

Which can be hard for a generation of Hip-Hop zombies that hate embracing “newness,” unpacking “different,” and stopping to “think.”

Lil Uzi Vert Finally Drops “Eternal Atake”

(AllHipHop News) Lil Uzi Vert surprised fans on Friday, March 6 with the release of his long-awaited album, Eternal Atake.

Eternal Atake is the follow up to Luv Is Rage 2, which was released in 2017. It’s been a long time coming for the project.

The first mention of the album was back in 2018 and since then, there have been several delays. At one point sometime last year, Uzi even claimed to have retired and quit music, after dealing with an ongoing battle with his record label Generation Now.

He is currently signed to Roc Nation and Atlantic Records.

Rather than releasing Eternal Atake at midnight like most music projects, the sophomore album drop came on Friday morning. Fans went into a frenzy when the new project dropped without warning.

Earlier this month, the Philly rapper released the song, “That Way,” which is listed as a bonus track on the new album.

Uzi shared a trailer for Eternal Atake titled “BabyPluto” earlier this week, and he also shared the tracklist for the 18-track album on social media the night before.

(AllHipHop News) Amalaratna “Doja Cat” Dlamini is on pace to be one of the top breakout music stars of the year. The Hot Pink single “Say So” continues to climb various charts, and it became the rapper/singer’s first Top 40 hit on the Hot 100.

Besides gaining the attention of TikTok users and Spotify streamers, Doja Cat is also making waves with industry insiders. The major label-owned Vevo service selected the RCA Records signee as the first LIFT artist of 2020.

Vevo’s LIFT highlights and promotes rising performers through special, high-end video content. Commercially successful acts like Billie Eilish, Halsey, Khalid, and Sam Smith were previously chosen for the program.

Fetty Wap’s Baby’s Mother Suggests He Isn’t Doing Much For Their Two Children

(AllHipHop Rumors) Lezhae took to Instagram to vent on her lack of support with raising her kids.

She alleges she can only count on one person to help her with her children. She specifically mentions those who are blessed to have their mothers and baby fathers in their lives to help when they just need a break.

Fetty currently has 7 children with 6 different women. I’m guessing Wap is going through it with all the women in her life because earlier in the day on Thursday the rapper posted he was going to delete his Instagram.

Shortly after, his wifey posted a sub on her Instagram as well.

Megan Thee Stallion Responds To Isaac Hayes III Telling Her To “Get Out” Of Hollywood

(AllHipHop News) “[Megan Thee Stallion]. I am a big fan of your movement but since you moved to L.A. them last 2 records don’t hit like them first 2 records. Now you laid up in the bed with [G-Eazy]. Please #GetOut of Hollywood,” tweeted Isaac Hayes III on February 3.

The son of legendary Soul singer Isaac Hayes offered that opinion after Megan’s recent songs “Diamonds” and “B.I.T.C.H.” did not have the same cultural impact as “Big Ole Freak” and “Hot Girl Summer.” The 44-year-old Georgia resident was also referring to the viral footage of Meg cuddling with Bay Area rhymer G-Eazy

https://twitter.com/IsaacHayes3/status/1224451028885442560

Megan was asked about Hayes III’s Hollywood comments during an interview on The Breakfast Club. The 25-year-old Texan insisted that Los Angeles does not impact the quality of her music.

She also stated, “I don’t know him and he don’t know me. So he can’t say none of that. I guess you just go off what you hear from another guy and you wanna run with that. But I don’t know that man.”

Even though Megan Thee Stallion is in the middle of a legal dispute with Carl Crawford’s 1501 Certified Entertainment independent label over contract negotiations, the Houston rapstress released Suga today (March 6). The 9-track EP features Kehlani and Gunna.

Royce Da 5’9″ Announces “The Allegory US Tour”

(AllHipHop News) Royce Da 5’9″ has already earned widespread critical acclaim for his latest LP titled The Allegory. This spring, concertgoers will get to see the Detroit-raised lyricist perform songs off the album.

“The Allegory US Tour” is scheduled to kick off Tuesday, April 21 at Seattle’s The Crocodile. Royce is also set to hit 17 other cities until the final show in Ann Arbor, Michigan on May 20.

Over 22 tracks, Royce Da 5’9″ addresses pertinent social issues such as political divisiveness, racial tensions, social media toxicity, fame culture, wealth disparity, mental illness, mass shootings, and the opioid epidemic. Nickel Nine’s goal was for the project to positively impact listeners.

The Allegory is a study on perception and secret (and, not so secret) ills that are afflicting our society. I have a desire to give light to these wrongs in an effort to start the conversation and hopefully help the next generation navigate through,” explained Royce.

Joe Budden On Reports “Pump It Up” Was About Masturbation: “Just Blaze Gotta S###”

(AllHipHop News) Was “Pump It Up” really about self-pleasure? Even many longtime Joe Budden fans were shocked to hear producer Just Blaze say that Budden’s 2003 single “Pump It Up” was once about masturbation.

Last month, Just Blaze made an appearance on Sole Collector’s Full Size Run digital series. The New Jersey native born Justin Smith took the time to reflect on the creation of the record that was prominently featured in the dance movie You Got Served.

“Do you know the original version of ‘Pump It Up’ was about masturbation?” said Blaze. “You know how in the second verse he’s like, ‘My jump off doesn’t care if I go out so much. My jump off…’ Originally it was, ‘My hand doesn’t worry if I go out so much. My hand doesn’t worry about… That’s a fun fact.”

While visiting The Breakfast Club this week to promote his State of the Union television show, Joe Budden was questioned about Just Blaze’s comments. The 39-year-old podcaster had some sharp words for his fellow Jersey representative.

“The legend of ‘Pump It Up’ never dies. Sometime when these stories come up, I be like, ‘Damn, man. Why can’t “Tipsy” and J-Kwon – all of those big records back then, why can’t they just keep doing this?'” responded the Love & Hip Hop: New York star.

Budden went on to say, “Just Blaze gotta shut the f*ck up. That’s the bottom line to it. He gotta chill the f*ck out. I’ve told this story. Somebody else has told this story.” In 2013, Joe Budden’s Slaughterhouse brethren, Royce da 5’9″ did tweet that he heard a similar story about the Grammy-nominated single.

“‘Pump It Up’ went through a lot of experimentation. That’s a good way to say that. You’re talking about an 8-bar part in the second verse. In the pre-recordings stages, it was my hand… No, it’s not true because it wasn’t about masturbation,” explained Budden.

Joe Budden Talks Azealia Banks Nearly Being A ‘State Of The Culture’ Co-Host

(AllHipHop News) Love her or hate her, Azealia Banks is a lightning rod of controversy that garners nationwide headlines. The rapper/singer has become known for expressing her opinion about politics, witchcraft, her musical peers, and many other topics.

Apparently, the Broke with Expensive Taste album creator was almost tapped to voice her point of view on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Revolt network. The State of the Culture cast visited The Breakfast Club, and Joe Budden was asked about nearly having Banks on the program.

A post shared by The Breakfast Club (@breakfastclubam)

“The original idea was two, me and another person, and I didn’t like that,” revealed Budden. The Breakfast Club‘s Charlamagne Tha God then reminded the retired emcee that Banks was once in consideration for the talk show.

Budden added, “Oh yeah, we were going to do Azealia Banks. In theory, what an amazing idea… But that’s what I wanted to create. Something where you would say, ‘How long is that gonna last?’ That didn’t pan out for whatever reason.”

Revolt decided to go with a four-person panel. At first, the line up was Joe Budden, Remy Ma, Scottie Beam, and Brandon “Jinx” Jenkins. Former Fox News personality Eboni K. Williams later replaced Beam.

Jhené Aiko Releases ‘Chilombo’ Album Featuring Nas, John Legend & More

(AllHipHop News) At this moment, Chilombo is the #1 trending topic on Twitter in the United States. Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo’s third studio album arrived overnight and quickly took over a lot of social media users’ timeline.

The 20-track LP includes guest features from H.E.R., Future, Miguel, Ab-Soul, Nas, John Legend, and Ty Dolla $ign. Plus, Aiko’s on-again/off-again boyfriend Big Sean appears on the previously released “None Of Your Concern.”

“I’m tired, but I’m fired up,” tweeted Aiko not long after midnight on Friday. The Def Jam recording artist later added, “Overwhelmed w/ LOVE thank you for listening.”

Chilombo hits DSPs three years after 2017’s Trip. That album debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart by collecting 32,000 first-week units. It went on to be certified Gold by the RIAA.

Megan Thee Stallion Responds To J. Prince Claiming Roc Nation Tried To Poach Her From 1501 Label

(AllHipHop News) Thanks to a judge, Megan “Thee Stallion” Pete was allowed to drop her new Suga EP today (March 6). The project’s release comes days after she filed a lawsuit against her independent label 1501 Certified Entertainment.

This week has seen both Meg and 1501 CEO Carl Crawford go back-and-forth in public over the financial details of the rapper’s record contract. Then Crawford’s associate, J. Prince, came out to defend himself from accusations made in Pete’s suit.

Prince wrote on Instagram, “After we do all the hard work together with artists, it’s a known fact that major record labels and established managers attempt to poach the fruits of our labor. One of the first things they do is criticize the deal that raised that artist from the dead.”

The Rap-A-Lot Records founder was referring to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation backing Meg’s lawsuit. Roc Nation was announced as Megan Thee Stallion’s new management back in September 2019, and she later stated that the company was instrumental in informing her about the terms of her contract with 1501.

Meg has now responded to J. Prince’s allegation that Roc Nation was essentially trying to steal her away from Crawford. The “B.I.T.C.H.” performer sat down with Angie Martinez on Power 105.1.

“I don’t know nothing about that because I’m still with the same labels that I started with. All I did was get management,” explained Megan. “My momma was my manager. My momma passed away. Who’s gonna manage me now? Roc Nation stepped in and got all my stuff together, getting everything in order.”

She continued, “Them people ain’t did nothing to me wrong, they ain’t did nothing to nobody. So it’s not that they’re trying to take anything from anybody. They don’t give f*ck about that damn contract. They’re not getting nothing from that, so I don’t understand why that comes up. I feel like you want some clout or something by bringing that up because they don’t have nothing to do with that.”

Nicki Minaj’s Husband Heading To Trial For Sex Offender Charges In April

(AllHipHop News) Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty has pleaded not guilty to charges of failing to register as a sex offender.

Petty is legally required to report his status to authorities following a 1995 conviction for attempted rape, for which he served almost four years in a New York prison.

He had previously registered with officials in his native Big Apple, but he failed to do the same in California after moving cross-country with Minaj last July (19).

The information flew under the police radar until he was pulled over by traffic cops in Beverly Hills in November when the oversight was discovered.

He was taken into custody at the time before being released on $20,000 bond, but Petty still failed to follow the law after the arrest, and on Wednesday he turned himself into authorities after U.S. Marshals indicted him for the same offense in federal court.

The U.S. Attorney’s Los Angeles office since confirmed Petty appeared in court shortly after handing himself in and pleaded not guilty to one count, and he was released on a $100,000 bond.

His trial is set for 28 April.

“Megatron” star Minaj, who wed Petty in October, has yet to comment on the news.

Flavor Flav Denies He’s A Trump Supporter And Gives Bernie Sanders A Pass

(AllHipHop News) Flavor Flav doesn’t blame Bernie Sanders for his firing from Public Enemy despite Chuck D kicking him out following a disagreement over-performing at a rally for the U.S. presidential candidate.

The hip-hop stars argued after Sanders campaign announced last week that his Public Enemy Radio spin-off act would perform a set at a rally in California ahead of presidential primary elections in 14 states on Tuesday.

Flav’s lawyers responded with a cease-and-desist letter, which said that he had not endorsed any candidate and that Sanders was not authorized to use the group’s image without his permission – to which Chuck responded by firing him and insisting he had sole ownership of the Public Enemy name.

However, the rapper turned reality star tells The Guardian he doesn’t dislike Sanders and wants to distance himself from reports claiming he supports U.S. President Donald Trump.

“I don’t have anything against Bernie. I think he’s a good person and I wish him luck. I think they’re all good people. Except Trump. Some people tried to say I did this because I’m a Trump supporter and that’s not true. F##k Trump!”

He adds that his argument is with Chuck, who he believes signed him up to a concert he did not agree to, adding: “Why try to say I’m a part of something I’m not a part of? That was all Chuck D.”

Chuck has also denied the dispute was over politics, claiming it was a product of longstanding tensions.

“My last straw was long ago,” he wrote on Twitter. “It’s not about Bernie with Flav … he don’t know the difference between (American football player) Barry Sanders or Bernie Sanders…So I don’t attack Flav on what he don’t know.”

Flav agrees with his ex-bandmate on that, saying: “I don’t deal with politics. Chuck D, he’s the politician of the group. I’m just the friendly jester.”

Thousands Of Fans Pay Final Tribute To Pop Smoke

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Pop Smoke was laid to rest today in his hometown of Brooklyn, New York today (March 5th).

Thousands of fans lined the streets, as a white horse-drawn carriage carried the rapper’s body through the streets of the borough.

A fleet of luxury cars, including a Lamborghini owned by 50 Cent, joined Pop Smoke’s mother and other family members in the procession.

The funeral procession headed to Green-Wood Cemetery, which will be Pop Smoke’s final resting place.

As previously reported, Pop Smoke, born Bashar Barakah Jackson, was gunned down inside of an Airbnb rental during a home invasion in the Hollywood Hills last month.

Investigators believe at least four men invaded the house on February 19th, and shot the rap star in the torso, fatally wounding him.

The police are still searching for a motive.

As of press time no one has been charged for Pop Smoke’s murder.

Nick Cannon Extends An Olive Branch To 50 Cent

(AllHipHop Rumors) Nick Cannon seems to be ok with being the bigger man, so to speak. The mogul has made his peace with another mogul, 50 Cent. With Eminem in the middle, these kings have been beefing…over what? Who knows! But it seems like Nick is calling it a day with duking it out, back and forth.

Nick has straight-up saluted 50 Cent and said sorry.

“I love what 50 is doing. In a real way, all respect. Yo, he jumped into the television game in a real way,” he said in an interview with 99 Jamz’s Afternoon Get Down. “When I see another Black man getting like that, we put all the jokes and the hip-hop stuff aside, man. I salute him 100 percent with that.”

Of course, Nick invited 50 Cent to his hit show Wild-N-Out, claiming Fif was the “King of Petty.” On top of that, he said he wanted to leave the door open to work with his one-time adversary.

This all started when Eminem took a shot at Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey on a song with Fat Joe. I guess that’s all Nick needed to hear. He recorded a slew of songs aimed at Eminem, which eventually morphed into overkill. The kids are now good with each other. I doubt Eminem and Nick will be cool, but I would like to see that happen too.

By the way, no word from 50 Cent on whether or not he accepted the apology.

Pleasure P Arrested For Food Fight In Checkers Drive-Thru

(AllHipHop News) Reality star/singer Pleasure P was sent to jail early today over beef at a fast-food restaurant.

The day started off bad for the 35-year-old member of R&B group Pretty Ricky when he decided to grab a bite to eat at a local Checkers.

Pleasure P pulled up to the drive-thru window and quickly became irate with an employee who was trying to take his order.

After several minutes of yelling through the intercom Pleasure P allegedly pulled up to the window in a rage.

When it came time to pay for his $60 order, Pleasure P allegedly attacked the worker and threw his food all over the female victim.

When the police arrived, they noticed food all over the floor where several employees confirmed the altercation.

The cops question to Pleasure P, who was allegedly admitting an odor of alcohol.

Pleasure P was arrested and sent to the Miami-Dade county jail, and he was released shortly after being booked.

Pleasure P’s rocky relationship with his Pretty Ricky group members was chronicled on season 2 “Love & Hip Hop: Miami.”

50 Cent Celebrates Transfer Of Infamous NYPD Inspector

(AllHipHop News) 50 Cent celebrated on Twitter on Wednesday after learning New York Police Department Deputy Inspector Emanuel Gonzalez, who allegedly told officers to shoot the rapper “on sight,” had been transferred.

Gonzalez hit headlines last year with the alleged comments, made to his officers on June, 7th 2018, after learning the rapper was scheduled to attend a New York Police Department charity boxing match in the Bronx.

An investigation was launched into Gonzalez, who worked at the 72nd Precinct in Sunset Park, and it was revealed earlier this month that he has now been moved to the NYPD’s Auxiliary Police Section, where officers “observe and report conditions requiring the services of the regular police” – a transfer widely considered a demotion.

The “In Da Club” star, who claimed he feared for his life following Gonzalez’s threat, took to Instagram to celebrate the news, writing: “Remember this guy Commanding officer Gonzalez from the 72 precinct, They bust his ass down to auxiliary no more Strap just a flashlight and badge. LOL.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/B9VeQ8nnO0p

While a source said that the transfer was a “punishment” for Gonzalez, a spokesperson for the NYPD insisted the move had nothing to do with the 50 Cent scandal.

“It is inaccurate to say the inspector was transferred as a result of any issues stemming from the 50 Cent allegations,” a spokesperson said.

Feds Planning To Charge R. Kelly With Molesting Another Victim

(AllHipHop News) R. Kelly’s sex abuse trial in Chicago, Illinois has been postponed from April to October to allow investigators extra time to process new evidence collected in a recent raid.

The singer appeared at an arraignment hearing on Thursday, when he pleaded not guilty to an updated indictment filed last month after another woman claimed she had sex with Kelly in the late 1990s when she was 14 or 15.

The 53-year-old was already facing a multitude of charges, including engaging in sex acts with other minors, threatening his alleged victims, and aggravated sexual abuse.

During Thursday’s hearing, prosecutors revealed authorities had “very recently” executed a search warrant relating to the case, resulting in the seizure of at least 100 electronic devices, including cell phones, hard drives, and iPads.

The location of the raid was not disclosed, but U.S. District Judge Harry Leinenweber ruled the trial, which had been due to start next month, will be moved to the autumn.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Angel Krull also notified the judge that another update to the current indictment is pending, as they are preparing to “add yet another victim” to the sex abuse case against Kelly, reports the Chicago Tribune.

The news means the “I Believe I Can Fly” hitmaker’s criminal counts on racketeering, sexual abuse, and bribery in Brooklyn, New York will likely be the first to be heard at trial this year, as that case is scheduled to be heard in July.

The embattled musician, who has been remanded in custody in Chicago, is also facing similar sex abuse allegations in Minnesota.

He has denied all charges filed against him.
