Kim Kardashian Fears Botox Will Hinder Acting Career

Kim Kardashian is worried that her Botox treatments will prevent her from becoming a serious actress.

The Skims co-founder has been taking on an increasing number of roles, although she never expected to venture into acting. She wants to do a film a year but is concerned the botox in her face will inhibit her ability to make facial expressions.

Botox injections block nerve signals to the muscles, relaxing any lines and wrinkles, but also restricting muscle movement.

Kardashian recently successfully pitched her comedy movie, The Fifth Wheel, to Netflix. She is producing the film and playing the lead role, a daunting prospect for the reality TV star turned actress.

She opened up about her fears during the latest episode of The Kardashians

“Now the pressure’s on because I’m like, ‘Oh s###, this is happening,’” Kardashian admitted. “I’m tripping the f*** out low key because I have to really do this and I have to deliver.”

While Kim is willing to sacrifice sleep to fit the film into her packed schedule, she’s not prepared to give up her Botox injections.

“I’ve got about 10 years where I still look good. So, that’s all I’ve got in me and then I’ll take some time off… that’s my 10-year plan,” Kardashian explained. “I feel like you need less Botox for more emotion, and I don’t have it.”

She added, “How am I gonna cry? How am I gonna be scared out of my mind?”

As well as botox, Kim Kardashian draws the line at method acting. “I’m not going to be gaining 500 lbs for a role. That’s not where I need to be,” she declared.

Snoop Dogg Crowns Kendrick Lamar “King Of The West’ For Unifying Rival Gangs

Snoop Dogg was notably absent from Kendrick Lamar’s unforgettable Juneteenth concert, The Pop Out — Ken & Friends but the significance of the event didn’t escape him.

The Death Row Records boss took to Instagram on Friday (June 21) to give the Compton native his flowers. Heaping praise on K. Dot, for unifying rival gangs at the concert, Snoop didn’t mince his words, crowning Kendrick Lamar “King of the West Coast.”

Sending a Big shout out to K. Dot and all the homies from the West that stood together unified, organized, in peace love,” Snoop began. “That was beautiful. That was fun to watch. Beautiful to see all of my peoples come together.”

He continued, “K. Dot, you are the King of the West. That’s the kinda s### kings do. We unite.”

Before the concert came to a close, K. Dot gathered the various West Coast figures in attendance for a giant group photo.

“This is unity at its finest,” Lamar said, revealing the situation made him emotional. “We done lost a lot of homies to this music s###, to some street s###. For all of us to be on this stage, together … unity from each side of L.A., Crips, Bloods, Pirus. This s### is is special man. We put this s### together just for y’all.”

Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg previously refused to take sides in the Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake battle. He credited the pair for bringing back real rap but remained neutral.

“Those are my nephews,” he explained during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I’m not in the middle of it. I support both of them and that’s personal business, not my business.”

Swizz Beatz Denies Selling Out Amid Backlash Over Verzuz Deal With Elon Musk’s X

Swizz Beatz and Timbaland faced hefty backlash after announcing the new exclusive distribution partnership between Verzuz and X (Twitter).

The super producers announced the deal on Juneteenth (June 19) as Elon Musk faced accusations of racism. The billionaire tech mogul was criticized for amplifying a tweet that falsely compared the rates at which Black Americans murder their white counterparts.

Social media users accused the duo of selling out, but Swizz insisted nothing could be further from the truth.

On Friday morning (June 21) Swizz took to Instagram to share some new photos of their meeting with Elon to seal the deal.

He kept it brief in the caption, stating, “We will show you better than tell you.” However, he acknowledged the controversy and addressed specific concerns in the comment section.

One person said critics “have a valid reason to question this partnership,” and told Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, “don’t play in our faces.” Swizz replied, “but nobody said anything before,” adding, “we been on that platform since Verzuz started.”

Another person said Verzuz should have partnered with another social media platform or a Black-owned one. Swizz claimed, “People want to talk with out doing the homework.” He followed up with, “we’re 100% black owned, [if] that’s not enough we own 100% of the IP and company!”

A third user blasted the duo for selling out, despite promising they never would. “WE the people are not feeling this. This is wild,” they wrote.

Nonetheless, Swizz Beatz denied the assertion and hinted that more would be revealed very soon. “Trust me that was the last thing we did was sell out,” he replied before adding a crying with laughter emoji. “Relax you will understand in 1min.”

Kendrick Lamar Hires Sheriff’s Deputies As Security For Upcoming Compton Video Shoot

Kendrick Lamar isn’t taking any chances for his upcoming video shoot in Compton, drafting in extra security from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department to ensure the safety of everybody involved.

Rumors have swirled all week that Lamar is gearing up to shoot the visuals for his Drake diss “Not Like Us.” Word on the street was that K. Dot planned “something major in Compton this Saturday,” and fans were encouraged to keep an eye out.

On Thursday law enforcement sources confirmed the rumors, according to TMZ. The Sheriff’s Department has arranged to have “deputies for extra security” on hand at locations across Compton throughout the shoot.

Despite the extra security, the outlet reported, “no known threats have surfaced at this time.” However, like most of the planet, law enforcement is aware of K. Dot’s recent battle with Drake and will keep their eyes peeled for any trouble.

There were several security threats related to various players during the diss track war, including multiple shootings. Cops responded to the OVO founder’s Toronto mansion on three occasions within seven days.

On May 7, an intruder shot a security guard who was standing outside the property gates. The same week, two intruders attempted to break into the home.

Additionally, in April, a security guard was shot at the home of The Weeknd’s manager. Both incidents occurred weeks after Drake and The Weeknd traded jabs on wax.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar is believed to have already shot footage for the video at his epic Juneteenth concert, The Pop Out: Ken & Friends. The one-off spectacle was held at L.A.’s KIA Forum on Wednesday (June 18).

Sexyy Red Roasts “Carpet Hair” Haters Accusing Her Of Lying About Natural Locks

Sexyy Red recently flexed her long natural hair, but fans weren’t buying it, accusing her of adding pieces to her hair.

Earlier this week, the “Get It Sexyy” hitmaker proudly showed off her real hair. She shared her hair care process with fans in a series of videos on her Instagram Stories. She recorded her stylist washing her long hair before finally revealing the results of her blowout.

Nonetheless, not everybody was convinced, with some people claiming they could see “tracks” and “tape-ins.” Determined to prove it was, in fact, all her hair, the St. Louis native posted another video clapping back at the haters.

“They said I got tracks,” Sexyy Red said in the video while raking her hands through her hair. “I’m tryna see where.” She continued, lifting sections of her hair as her stylist added, “What tracks? What tape-ins?“

“You carpet hair beanie neck haux could never,” she captioned her post.

However, after her younger sister accused Latto of biting her style, Sexyy Red was forced to clarify she was not talking about the “Sunday Service” hitmaker.

“I didn’t say nun about this girl period,” Sexyy Red declared. “I don’t have ah problem with @latto.”

Icewear Vezzo Slams Amanda Seales Over Donald Trump Support Criticism, Quickly Backtracks

Icewear Vezzo blasted Amanda Seales for criticizing his apparent support for Donald Trump before quickly walking back his statements after a conversation with her.

The Detroit native faced backlash after linking Donald Trump on his visit to the city over the weekend. Amanda Seales was among those critical of the visit and let her feelings be known.

In an Instagram video directed at Icewear Vezzo and others, Seales condemned those who take “pictures with people who have actively harmed us as a community.” She insisted that doing so “is not you infiltrating so that you can be the savior.”

Seales also shut down any notion that cozying up to these figures and acting like “the good Black,” won’t make anybody “the next Martin Luther King.”

She concluded her post with a suggestion: “How about you squad up with real ones and approach them with a real agenda that doesn’t include simping.”

Icewear Vezzo clapped back in a lengthy post via his Instagram Stories, branding Seales a “weirdo” and a “lying little girl.” He urged her to “Stop talking so much and give back,” insisting Seales does nothing for the community “except tear us down in the name of building us up.”

He also claimed Seales is “Fake woke and full of s###,” and demanded “stop lying on Black men.” However, he had a change of heart and quickly deleted his post and walked back his remarks. “I talked to Amanda it’s all love,” he explained, adding that he “should’ve never went that hard” on a woman.

“It’s not that serious she’s entitled to her opinions,” he said. “I just want us to stop thinking the worse about each other before having a conversation and also learn to respectfully disagree.”

Quavo & Lana Del Rey Overcome Storms To Debut New Collab “Tough”

Quavo and Lana Del Rey surprised fans with the debut performance of their new collab single, “Tough,” although hazardous weather conditions almost stopped them.

On Thursday evening (June 20), heavy wind, rain and lightning strikes plagued Lana Del Rey’s concert at Boston’s Fenway Park, and the show was almost canceled. The concert was due to get underway at 8:30, but there was still no sign of the singer nearly an hour later.

Del Ray took to Instagram to inform fans of the delays.” They are holding off the show until 9:00 because of the wind warnings. See you soon,’ she wrote on her Stories.

“They just cleared the stage,” she said in a video a short while later. “Every time the lightning strikes, we have to wait 20 minutes and it just keeps striking.”

Thankfully, the storm eventually subsided, and Lana Del Rey took to the stage, where Quavo would soon join her for the first live performance of “Tough.”

Earlier this week, Quavo joined forces with Vice President Kamala Harris for the first-ever Rocket Foundation Summit in Atlanta.

Held on the official “Takeoff Day“, the event was centered around Quavo’s mission to prevent gun violence following the death of his late nephew.

One Thing The Game Said Everybody Missed

The Game is Working on The Documentary 3.

The Game has delivered classic bars and albums, establishing himself as one of the greatest rappers ever. From a West Coast perspective, he’s one of the G.O.A.T.s, with many impressive moments throughout his career.

The rapper from Compton recently went live on Instagram, discussing various topics, including Kendrick Lamar, Drake and recent events. However, many people missed a significant announcement: he’s working on a new album, which will be the third installment in The Documentary series.

He mentioned that he’s doing this in celebration of the 20th anniversary of his debut album. The news brought a smile to my face, as that was an iconic era. It was a turbulent time eventually, but when he, 50 Cent, G-Unit, Dr. Dre and others collaborated, a classic was born.

Despite the chaos and confusion that followed, The Game showed respect to 50 Cent, Dr. Dre and others like Glasses Malone in his live session. He also acknowledged Drake and Kendrick Lamar, referring to Drake as his “brother” and stating he had no issues with Kendrick Lamar or TDE.

Listen to The Documentary

The Game also talked about his life as a father as part of the reason he wasn’t at all the functions. He didn’t mention calling Rick Ross out in the recent past, which some charged hypocrisy. He was definitely trying to provoke a battle with Rozay. However, he clarified that he wasn’t taking sides with Drake and Dot, but simply staying out of it. Some took his stance as siding with Drake. But I digress.

It was great to see him at home, sharing this album news with us. Check out some clips from our Instagram for more details.

Megan Thee Stallion Beats Copyright Lawsuit With “Savage” Victory

Megan Thee Stallion scored a major win in a battle over her hit song “Savage” after Judge Katherine Polk Failla dismissed the lawsuit due to insufficient evidence.

The acclaimed artist was accused of copying a little-known track by producer James A. Greene, who launched the lawsuit last year, claiming that “Savage” producer J White Did It had access to his 2020 song “It’s About To Be On.”

Greene alleged that Stallion’s track was borrowed from his work, stating that J White Did It had obtained the track through his manager.

However, Judge Failla determined that there wasn’t enough proof to support the accusation and dismissed the suit altogether, pointing out that there was no evidence Megan Thee Stallion or Warner had even listened to Greene’s track.

The judge highlighted the lack of substantial similarities between the beats, drum patterns, and vocals of the two songs.

Greene’s track had not been widely distributed, which played a critical role in dismissing the allegations against the Hip-Hop superstar.

“Savage” exploded onto the music scene in March 2020 as part of Megan Thee Stallion’s EP “Suga.”

It quickly went viral on TikTok, spurring the popular “Savage” dance challenge during its chorus. A remix featuring Beyoncé dropped in April 2020 and became a hit inclusion on Megan’s debut album, Good News, later that year.

This remix soared to number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in May 2020, marking Megan Thee Stallion’s first and Beyoncé’s seventh time securing the top spot.

Justin Timberlake And…HIV Meds?

Hey there! As you may have heard, Justin Timberlake was arrested for driving under the influence. The initial reports were straightforward: he was driving around Long Island, allegedly drunk out of his mind. But slowly, more details began to emerge. Simply put, Justin was allegedly on multiple substances. However, these details are all speculative and likely wrong.

One particularly concerning allegation is that he was taking HIV medication. Now, I’m not sure if people are using AIDS medication recreationally because it’s something new. Still, typically, HIV medicine is taken if someone has been infected by the virus that causes AIDS. This is unbelievable! Literally!

Justin and his representatives deny that he is on such medication or was even driving drunk. While he failed a sobriety test, they did not do any other testing on him. This means they do not know he was on other “stuff.” This is a terrible look for him. Look at his mugshot, though, because it looks crazy. Well, it seems like somebody impersonated a credible site and made these crazy claims. So, there’s that. It seems like it is all the way false.

STILL, my sources are telling me this was a really good clean up job. Either way, god bless him. I don’t know him like that so I’ll wish him well for now.

Big Fendi Apologizes To Whole City Over Canceled “Nuttin But Azz” B-Ball Tournament At High School

Forget the three-point line; a controversial basketball event at West Side High crossed all kinds of lines with its provocative promo.

Chaos erupted over the “Nuttin’ But Azz” celebrity basketball event planned at West Side High School in Newark, New Jersey, which was ultimately canceled due to its provocative nature.

The tournament, which was supposed to be hosted by Hip-Hop manager Big Fendi, faced public outrage after a promotional video depicting women in scanty attire twerking in a school gym made waves on social media.

The flamboyant promotional video misled the school district and the community, suggesting a harmless athletic event when it was far more provocative.

Newark school officials, who believed they were approving a community basketball game, swiftly canceled the July 21, 2024, event.

Tickets for the contentious event ranged from $50 general admission to $500 for premium floor seats, with a hefty $10,000 prize awaiting the top four teams.

Big Fendi, known for discovering Nicki Minaj, apologized publicly, taking full responsibility for the misunderstanding.

Caught in the uproar was Newark Councilman and former Lords of the Underground rapper Dupré Kelly, whose office had been involved in arranging the venue.

Kelly emphasized that his involvement was based on the understanding of a family-friendly community basketball game.

Responding to the backlash, Newark Public Schools released a statement expressing their regret over the situation.

“No school or district official was aware of the video until it was posted on social media,” Public Schools spokeswoman Nancy Deering said in a statement to NJ.com. “This was supposed to be a community basketball event sponsored by Councilman Kelly. No school or district official approved the activity depicted in the video or knew that an event at one of our schools would include such activity.”

They reiterated that the district had no prior indication of the event’s risqué elements. After learning the event’s true nature, the school officials acted swiftly to cancel the booking.

In his public apology, Big Fendi acknowledged that the school and city officials had no prior knowledge of the attire participants would be wearing.

“We were doing an event and then, you know, things went a little left, and out of control, and I take full responsibility for that, cause you guys had no knowledge of what these girls would be wearing in this celebrity game.”

Travis Scott Exploits Arrest With “It’s Miami” Mugshot Merch

Travis Scott turned his trespassing and public intoxication arrest into an opportunity to make money. The 33-year-old artist slapped a smiling version of his mugshot on a t-shirt to sell to fans on Thursday (June 20).

The shirt featured the phrase “It’s Miami,” which he allegedly told Miami Beach police when they took him into custody. Scott’s “Free the Rage” shirt is available for $35 on his website. A portion of the proceeds will go to his Cactus Jack Foundation.

Scott, whose real name is Jacques Webster, was arrested on Thursday morning. Officers encountered a drunken Scott when they responded to a call about a fight on a yacht.

The complainant did not want to press charges but sought Scott’s removal from the yacht. Scott was told he needed to leave “or he would be arrested.”

Scott left but quickly returned. He allegedly ignored police orders, which led to his arrest.

“Once the defendant began speaking to Sergeant Lemus, the defendant began yelling once again, becoming erratic, disturbing the peace of the occupants of the marina and nearby residential buildings causing a public disturbance,” the police report explained. “The defendant also disregarded officers’ warnings to not return to the Miami Beach Marina.”

Scott was booked in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. He was released after posting a $650 bond.

Jonathan Majors Secures His First Movie Role Since Assault Conviction

Jonathan Majors landed a role in filmmaker Martin Villeneuve’s upcoming movie Merciless. The independent film will be Majors’ first acting job since he was convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in 2023.

Villeneuve is Dune director Denis Villeneuve’s brother. Majors will play a CIA interrogator in Merciless.

Merciless intertwines themes of possession, revenge and personal justice within a haunting narrative,” Villeneuve said, per Deadline. “It explores the psychological descent of John, played by Majors, and the supernatural forces challenging his sanity.”

Majors’ assault case derailed his once-promising career. Marvel fired him after a jury found him guilty of reckless assault and harassment in December 2023. He portrayed Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The disgraced actor avoided jail for assaulting his ex. A judge sentenced Majors to probation and ordered him to participate in a 52-week domestic violence counseling program. He was facing up to one year behind bars.

Majors’ ex sued him for defamation, battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress and malicious prosecution in March.

“It takes true bravery to hold someone with this level of power and acclaim accountable,” Jabbari’s attorney Brittany Henderson said in a press statement. “Bravery that Grace Jabbari has demonstrated at every stage of the legal process. We strongly believe that through this action, truth and transparency will bring Grace the justice that she deserves.”

Jabbari claimed Majors defamed her with his public response to the guilty verdict. She accused him of “pervasive domestic abuse.”

“When publicly confronted with Grace’s numerous allegations of abuse, Majors has called her a liar at every turn and very specifically claimed that he has never put his hands on a woman, with the goal of convincing the world that Grace is not a victim of domestic abuse but instead a crazy liar who should be treated as such,” her lawsuit contended.

Majors maintained his innocence.

Lil Uzi Vert Denies Violently Assaulting Man Suing Him & Floyd Mayweather

A 60-year-old man sued Lil Uzi Vert and boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. for an alleged assault in New York. According to court documents obtained by The Daily Beast, Abdullah Ali claimed the rapper and Mayweather’s Money Team beat up Ali for looking at a Rolls-Royce in June 2023.

“Defendants …. without provocation attacked, assaulted and/or battered plaintiff Abdullah Ali while he was observing a Rolls Royce vehicle that was parked in a Money Team LLC labeled trailer,” Ali’s lawsuit contended.

Ali’s lawyers insisted he was “lawfully present” on a public street when the attack occurred. Lil Uzi Vert, Mayweather, their LLCs and 12 John Does were listed as defendants in the civil case. Six of the unknown defendants were Money Team members.

“Contrary to popular belief the streets of New York City are not a boxing ring,” Ali’s attorney Matthew Blit told The Daily Beast. “There are ramifications for laying your hands on a person. Our client was helpless that night, but he has chosen wisely to level the playing field and challenge the champ and musician in court with us in his corner.”

Ali sued Lil Uzi Vert and others for assault, battery, negligence and infliction of emotional distress. A publicist for the Atlantic Records artist denied any wrongdoing.

“Lil Uzi Vert doesn’t know Floyd Mayweather or have any form of affiliation with Mayweather’s Money Team and was not at the site of the alleged incident,” the publicist said.

Ali was the second plaintiff to sue Lil Uzi Vert in June. Last week, a production company filed a breach of contract and unjust enrichment lawsuit.

M99 Studios accused Lil Uzi Vert, whose real name is Symere Woods, of not paying for the company’s contributions to a European tour and festival performances. M99 pursued legal action to collect more than $533,000.

Jermaine Dupri Reveals Why Encounter With Independent Rapper Left Him “F###ed Up”

Jermaine Dupri appeared to have a change of heart after initially denying a rapper’s request to commission some of his time in order to present his music.

The So So Def Recordings label boss is no stranger to eager artists vying for a moment of his time. However, a recent encounter at Lenox Square Mall left the seasoned producer both intrigued and taken aback based on his exchange with an artist. In a tweet that has since gone viral, Dupri recounted a striking interaction with rapper EHeard from Alabama, whom he claims initially approached him ready to spend real money straight from his pocket in order to align with the producer.

“I just met a new rapper at Lenox and he asked what he had to do to get beside people like myself,” Dupri wrote. “He offered me 10k to listen to his music and right then and there I knew he wasn’t from Atlanta.”

He continued, revealing that at this point, the conversation took a morbid turn.

“I asked him where he was from, he said Alabama,” he said. “I said you gotta go turn your city up, he said in these lil small towns they’ll kill you if you look like we look, and that kinda f##### me up.”

This isn’t the first time Dupri has encountered talent in unexpected places. In fact, Dupri says a chance meeting in a shopping mall led to the creation of Kriss Kross’ hit single, “Jump.” Speaking at the Grammy Museum, he said the duo caught his attention with their unique style while peddling their music in a hand-to-hand marketing operation.

“You gotta understand people out there, Kris Kross weren’t rappers,” he said in part. “They weren’t kids walking around with demos. They weren’t trying to be rappers. They weren’t trying to be singers. When I met them I said, ‘What do y’all do?’ [they said] ‘We just cool.’ I was like, ‘Damn. Get these guys a record fast.'”

Though Dupri maintains he didn’t and would never take money from an artist simply to listen to their music, it appears as though EHeard’s harrowing testimony got through to him. Dupri actually ended up sharing a clip of the Alabama rapper’s recent live performance on Twitter (X) hours after tweeting about the encounter.

Check out the tweet featuring Dupri’s plug of the artist below.

Ty Dolla $ign Ignores Kanye West’s Controversial Antics: “One Of The Best People I’ve Ever Met”

Ty Dolla $ign dismissed anyone questioning him for working with Kanye West after brands cut ties with Ye over antisemitism and other controversial remarks. The West Coast singer defended Kanye in a Billboard cover story published on Thursday (June 20).

“Ye is the best artist of this generation, besides me, and I don’t give a f### about what people were talking about,” Ty Dolla $ign said. “I know my n####. He’s one of the best people I’ve ever met.”

Ty Dolla $ign claimed he never worried about Kanye’s reputation affecting their Vulture 1 album’s commercial performance.

“Just with my analysis of how it goes with him, he goes all the way to the top,” he noted. “And something may happen and he’ll say [something people find offensive] — and then people [get] right back, you know. Because this s### is undeniable.”

The Atlantic Records artist’s pre-release expectations proved to be correct. Vultures 1 debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in February.

A sequel, Vultures 2, was originally scheduled to drop in March. Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign delayed the project because they were still figuring out how to release it.

“We got all the songs,” Ty Dolla $ign said. “Basically, it’s just like, ‘How can we get it there? How can we go bigger than the first album?’”

Rumors suggested Ye wanted to avoid streaming services and arrange a direct-to-consumer release for Vultures 2. Ty Dolla $ign confirmed the strategy was a legitimate consideration for the upcoming album.

“Why not?” he said. “Switch it up. [Kanye’s] always got something up his sleeve. I always got some[thing] up my sleeve.”

Vultures 2 is meant to be the second album in a trilogy. But Kanye’s unpredictability makes it hard to believe anything he’s involved in will go according to plan.

Tyler, The Creator Bails On Festival Gigs After Kendrick Lamar Pop Out Performance

Tyler, the Creator canceled two festival bookings less than 24 hours after performing at Kendrick Lamar’s The Pop Out concert. Tyler told fans he was dropping out of Lollapalooza in Chicago and the Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco on Thursday (June 20).

“I hate saying this but I have to cancel lollapalooza and outside lands,” he wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “I made a commitment that i can no longer keep, and that bums me out knowing how excited folks were. that is not sexy at all. please please forgive me or call me names when you see me in person. love.”

Tyler was supposed to headline both festivals. He did not disclose the reason for canceling the gigs.

Megan the Stallion replaced Tyler on the Lollapalooza lineup. Outside Lands enlisted Sabrina Carpenter as its new headliner.

Tyler was one of the many stars who appeared at Kendrick’s epic event in Inglewood, California on Wednesday (June 19). The Odd Future member reflected on the show before announcing his exit from Lollapalooza and Outside Lands.

“It was beautiful to see the whole city come together last night,” Tyler wrote on social media. “my first raps were written at home off crenshaw dr and 82nd, right down the street from the fourm. thank you. shoutout FREE LUNCH.”

The Pop Out proved to be a victory lap for Kendrick in his much-discussed battle against Drake. K. Dot brought out his fellow Black Hippy members, Dr. Dre, YG, DJ Mustard, NBA stars and more in a display of West Coast unity.

Kendrick also added insult to injury by performing his Drake disses in front of a sold-out crowd at the Kia Forum. Amazon livestreamed the concert, allowing a wider audience to witness K. Dot’s memorable set – including repeated performances of the hit single “Not Like Us.”

K Carbon Talks New EP, GloRilla, Pooh Shiesty & Making Her Own Way

Memphis-born artist K Carbon is on a rocket-like trajectory up. An Atlanta resident now, she is hustling on several levels, including her own hair bundle business. She is set to drop an EP titled “Diary of a Hustler” and has the New Memphis over it. Big GloRilla, Glossup and others show up. Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur taps in with K Carbon and she heads for the stars.

AllHipHop: So talk to me a little bit about yourself, your music and you know who is K. Carbon?

K Carbon: You know, I’m K Car, I blew up iHop Boo, big Carbon. Don’t call me Kim, ho. Be doing my music thing. I be doing my hair thing. Okay. I’m an entrepreneur. I own a business in Memphis. Well, it originated in Memphis, so let me not say that, but I got my store in Memphis. I see hair basically like wigs and bundles like this is my hair. Okay. It’s been curled out, don’t even know it’s fine. And I rap. Of course, I’m finna drop an EP, a hard-ass EP. “Diary of a Hustler.” It’s dropping on the 21st.

AllHipHop: Who’s going to be on there?

K Carbon: I got YTB Fatt, I got GloRilla, GlossUp, Aslimeelsa, Big30, Melo Buckzz. But I really didn’t plan on making it an EP at first. I was kind of building up some songs. I was going to drop the singles, but then I thought about it. I have never done a project, I haven’t done a project. So that’s what made me be like, oh, let me construct a lot of this work that I’ve been doing with a lot of my new stuff. Let me make a project.

AllHipHop: Oh, why not a full album?

K Carbon: Well, because I’ve never even done a regular project. So it’s kind of like I want to tease ’em first, get ’em ready for me and then on that.

AllHipHop: So how was it like seeing Glorilla and GlossUp blow up?

K Carbon: It’s great. I learned a lot. We experienced a lot, and had a lot of fun. Just a lot. Experiencing it together was like we all learned what we learned together. So it’s fun. It’s a learning experience.

AllHipHop: Is that something you want to follow in their footsteps or be your own person in terms of being an artist or a star?

K Carbon: Yeah of course. I admire their work always. But when my time comes I got to do my work first.

READ ALSO: BIG30 Proves He’s Still King; Discusses Gucci Mane, Beanie Sigel And Pooh Shiesty

AllHipHop: Now someone told you me that you are cool with Pooh Shiesty. Is that true?

K Carbon: Yeah, that’s my bro.

AllHipHop: How’s your relationship now?

K Carbon: We super close. We still close. We be writing each other and sh#t. He just wrote me and I wish I could just send the music through the mail. He always goes crazy as hell when he hears my music. So recently he heard my songs that I just dropped with Mello Buckzz and 30 and he like you getting harder and harder by the day. He calls me Beno. He was like, “Beno you getting harder and harder by the day.” So I wish I could just send my whole f###### EP through the mail.

K Carbon press picture, used by permission

AllHipHop: I’m glad you’re holding him down. So, what’s your creative process?

K Carbon: I usually like locking in with people that like locking in with me and I think it’s always like that with me. People who I work with, I always admire their work. So that goes from the producers to the features on there. When I hit up producers, I be like, “Yo, send me beats.” I had a few producers come into the studio with me and play beats and I’m like, “Oh that one.” So it was like their relationship with my producers. Sometimes I write, I slick freestyle [some times].

I like being in the studio when I’m making my music because I feel like it…it’s more authentic for me. I don’t be distracted. I’m just in the booth and then I do it like that. Then what else is my creative process? That really is it. I always put my videos together and stuff. As soon as I hear my song, it’s like I know how I want to do the video. I be like, “Ooh, I could see this. I could see that.” And then I just make it happen.

AllHipHop: Who influenced you?

K Carbon: I would say my family, my dad. He was the first person that had me rapping. Then after that, I was influenced by talented female artists like Left Eye. She was somebody I really, really liked. When I saw, especially when that movie came out, it made me like Left Eye even more. They rap style was different back in the day, but at the end of the day it was about her style that I fell in love with, her coolness, her whole little thing about herself.

Giggs Reflects On 10-Year Performance Ban Over Alleged Gang Activity

Giggs went from selling mixtapes on the streets of South London to becoming one of the U.K.’s biggest rap exports and a certified icon of his era.

While he just wrapped his first-ever U.S. tour after legal issues prevented him from entering the country for over a decade, there was a time when Giggs couldn’t perform in his own country.

The Landlord recently opened up about the decade he spent trying to dodge attempts to shut down his concerts and sabotage his music career. In 2003, Giggs served a two-year prison sentence in 2003 for possession of a firearm.

Since his release, Giggs claimed Operation Trident – a controversial specialist Metropolitan Police unit established to tackle so-called “Black-on-Black” crime in London worked to end his career behind the scenes.

He discussed the ban and his attempts to get around it during a recent episode of Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion.

“I was banned from shows for like 10 years,” Giggs said, explaining that he was accused of “gang” related activities. “That’s what they said anyway.”

Nonetheless, Giggs was determined to perform for his fans and would put on “secret shows.” He would bus in coach loads of fans to these private concerts but somehow cops would always get tipped off.

“That’s how they do it,” Giggs said, adding that cops would often cancel his shows the night before.

Earlier this year, Giggs toured America after finally getting his paperwork in order. One of the first things he did on his return was to hit up Jay-Z’s Roc Nation brunch. Hov asked him about his reaction to that infamous shout out on DJ Khaled’s “God Did.” Check out his reaction below.

Travis Scott Released On Bond After Arrest For “Disorderly Intoxication & Trespassing”

Travis Scott is in hot water with the law after getting arrested for disorderly intoxication and trespassing in Miami. The “FEIN” hitmaker was reportedly detained in the early hours of Thursday morning (June 20) after having too much to drink. He was charged with disorderly intoxication and trespassing in Miami, according to multiple reports.

Cops arrested Travis Scott at the Miami Beach Marina at 12:44 a.m. local time. He was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center around 4:30 a.m. Scott appeared worse for wear in his mugshot and looked bleary-eyed.

The Mirror reports Scott was released after paying a $650 bond, including $500 for the trespass charge and $150 for disorderly intoxication. Cops arrested Scott for causing a “disturbance” on a charter boat docked at the arena.

“He was drunk, causing a disturbance and asked to leave multiple times,” Miami Beach Police Department officers said, per the outlet. Cops then hauled Scott off to jail when he refused to do so.

Travis Scott’s arrest comes just over a week before he’s due to hit the road in Europe for his Circus Maximus tour. The tour kicks off in The Netherlands on June 28.

Meanwhile, Scott made headlines after brawling with Tyga and his crew at a Cannes Film Festival afterparty last month. The rapper and 808 Mafia’s Southside clashed with Tyga’s pal Alexander “AE” Edwards.

Edwards, who also happens to be Cher’s boyfriend, later spoke about the fight, describing it as a “healthy fade.”

Edwards said there’s “no hard feelings,” between them, adding, “It is what it is, it went how it went.”
