Chance The Rapper Threatens To Shelve New Music If Fans Keep Calling It “The Album”

Chance the Rapper recently addressed his fans’ anticipation for his upcoming project, emphasizing that Star Line is more than just the album. In fact, it’s not one at all.

The Chicago-based artist expressed a desire for his audience to understand and acknowledge the unique nature of his forthcoming work in a brief Instagram Live. Chance started off the stream by essentially demanding they change the way they’re asking for the music.

“All right, so this was the main point I was trying to make,” Chance started off. “Stop calling it the album. And I don’t mean that in an ungrateful way. I’m grateful that people are putting in my comments, ‘Drop the album.'”

Chance made it clear that the constant reference to Star Line as an album doesn’t sit well with him. He said he wouldn’t release the project until fans start referring to it by its intended name, despite his readiness to share his work.

“I’m not going to drop the album until y’all start calling it Star Line,” he said. “I’m not going to drop the project. I got so much s##t ready. But I hope that y’all understand that. I understand how all this stuff works. ‘Drop the album.’ That’s for all the other artists. That’s for all everybody else, whose work I also appreciate. But what I’m doing is something different. It’s something very specific. It’s called Star Line.”

The Acid Rap lyricist added, highlighting his dedication to the Star Line concept, noting its recurring presence in his discourse over the past few years.

“I’ve been saying one specific phrase for coming up on two or three years now,” he said. “I’ve been saying Star Line. You see the star, n####’s asleep, but he got the star on his shoulders. He carrying it.”

Chance also expressed that the mislabeling of Star Line as an album leads to confusion: “When y’all say the album, it confuses me. It confuses me. It makes me think that everybody doesn’t [know what’s going on].

He believes that proper acknowledgment from his fans will motivate him to release the project sooner. “If y’all say he drop Star Line enough, it’s going to make me drop Star Line,” he hinted.

As Chance concluded his session, he revealed he’s operating independently on this release, underscoring the personal investment and effort he’s putting into Star Line.

“That’s why it’s a rollout, because I’m doing this s##t dolo,” he said. “I’m doing this s##t by myself. I mean, I’m doing it with the team, but it ain’t nobody invested that’s like, gotta make it work. You know what I mean? It’s like I’m that person. So I got Star Line. That’s all I got for y’all. I don’t got the album. Whatever the album is, I don’t know what the album is. I know about a Star Line, you hear me? And that’s on everything.”

The emphasis on proper recognition for Star Line comes in the wake of Chance’s previous project, The Big Day. Released in July 2019, the album was met with mixed reviews and was colloquially dubbed The Owbum by fans, referencing Chance’s enthusiastic pronunciation during promotional efforts.

Despite debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 with 108,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, The Big Day‘s sales and reception didn’t match the heights of his earlier mixtape, Coloring Book.

Critics pointed to its sprawling length and perceived lack of cohesion as factors contributing to its lukewarm reception. This experience may be influencing Chance’s current meticulous approach to Star Line, ensuring it resonates with his audience as intended.

Legendary New York City DJ Chuck Chillout Back Home After Near-Death Experience

(UPDATE) Sources close to AllHipHop can confirm DJ Chuck Chillout is back home and resting after a serious medial emergency put him in the hospital last week. While we aren’t at liberty to discuss what specifically happened, we can say it was related to his heart. We send all our support to Chuck Chillout as he recovers.

Legendary New York City DJ Chuck Chillout, who started his career in 1982 with WRKS 98.7 Kiss FM, suffered a major medical crisis last week. Social media posts that read “prayers for Chuck Chillout” started popping up on Thursday (August 1), the same day he was to host his 40th Radio Anniversary Party in the Bronx.

Those close to Chuck Chillout weren’t willing to go on record to discuss his condition, but Chuck D provided an update on Chuck Chillout’s current status on Friday (August 2). Taking to Twitter, the Public Enemy frontman explained why Chuck Chillout is so important, not only to hum but Hip-Hop at-large. His tweet arrived just a day after Chuck D celebrated his 64th birthday.

“A sincere thank you to everyone on this App that wished me a Happy Birthday,” he wrote. “My phone imploded and a spent a majority of my time with my HipHop hero @djchuckchillout who is going through major surgery today. Prayers up for Chuck a man who first made Public Enemy known and so many others. The first DJ who played us.

“Coincidentally I visited Chuck for 5 hours with another Radio hero Fred Buggs in the very SAME hospital I was BORN in 64 years to the DAY. Booth Mem Queens . Think God DID that . No mystery. Thank you all and im doing a special tribute show tonight for my bro @CHINOXL on AndYouDontStop! Life flows on.”

Further updates on Chuck Chillout’s Facebook page indicate his surgery, which is heart-related, went well, but he’s still not out of the woods. As one person wrote, “Good news. Chuck Chillout is now in the recovery room located within the ICU. We enter the golden 24…. Prayers warriors needed.”

As Chuck D mentioned, Chuck Chillout was instrumental in breaking many Hip-Hop artists during his time as a radio DJ in the 1980s and 1990s. Some of the notable artists he helped introduce to a wider audience include Boogie Down Productions (KRS-One and DJ Scott La Rock), Public Enemy, Eric B. & Rakim, LL COOL J, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, EPMD, A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul, artists who benefited from the exposure and support provided by DJs like Chuck Chillout.

Sauce Walka Accuses Drake Of Appropriating Houston Culture

Sauce Walka is doubling down on his claims that Drake appropriates Houston culture without giving back to its purveyors following the Toronto rapper’s beef with Kendrick Lamar.

The Houston-bred rapper recently aired his grievances on The Breakfast Club and passionately questioned Drake’s commitment to the city that he claims to love, posing the question of why he’s seemingly less willing to work with Houston artists and instead, chooses Atlanta artists.

“You said it wouldn’t be no Drake without Houston, right?” Sauce Walka questioned Charlamagne Tha God rhetorically. “Why did Drake not have no bunch of records with Houston artists? You been doing it with Atlanta. It’s 7, 8, 9, 15 artists that you got songs with in Atlanta.”

In contrast, Sauce Walka feels that Drake has exploited Houston for its “market share” without contributing meaningfully to its music scene.

“It’s a long California, it’s a long list of artists from The Bay all the way to LA—they got Drake songs,” he remarked. “So how did Drake love Houston so much at that time and not have music with artists that you are uplifting from this community? “

Sauce Walka continued to emphasize the need for fair exchange in the music industry, especially when an artist like Drake uses a city’s culture to boost his own career. As a result, he urged for efforts that genuinely uplift the Houston music economy and provide more opportunities for local artists.

“F##k me, I don’t care,” he said. “It is bigger than me. I didn’t care about the song with me. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me what I’m saying, but from then to now, Travis Scott is the only rapper that still got a song with Drake, Travis Scott. Again, what I just said earlier, it makes sense because it’s a equal trade.”

Considering Sauce Walka’s take is gaining traction, Drake’s affiliates are already chiming in with their two cents. Drake’s longtime producer Boi1da became drawn into the discussion in the comments section of a post on Instagram in which a user was defending Drizzy’s commitment to working with Houston artists.

“Travis, Bun B, Pimp C, OG Ron C, DJ Screw, Multiple Houston producers etc…the sense of entitlement is crazy though,” the user wrote.

Boi1da obliged, adding, “Selective memory,” in his reply to the comment.

This isn’t the first time Drake has faced such criticism for aligning with a particular region or cultural sub-pocket of Hip-Hop. During his beef with Kendrick Lamar, the West Coast rapper referred to Drake as a “colonizer” in his “Not Like Us” diss track, accusing him of relying on Atlanta artists to generate buzz and profits throughout his career. And in fact, this isn’t even the first time Sauce Walka called him out, considering he spoke about this same issue on his almost 10 years ago on his song “Wack 2 Wack.”

YSL Trial Halted After Lil Woody’s Lawyer Suspended Over Misconduct In Child Support Case

Another dramatic delay hit the YSL trial involving rapper Young Thug on Tuesday when key witness Kenneth Copeland, known as “Lil Woody,” learned mid-day that his attorney, Jonathan Melnick, had been suspended.

The Georgia Supreme Court issued a six-month suspension for Melnick due to misconduct in a separate 2017 child support case, throwing another wrench in what has become Georgia’s longest-running trial.

Lil Woody was briefed about Melnick’s suspension early in the morning but only grasped the full extent at lunchtime.

Taking to Instagram Live, he aired his frustrations and stressed his need for new legal counsel.

Later, he clarified to Judge Paige Reese Whitaker that he would only continue testifying with proper representation.

Judge Whitaker, acknowledging Lil Woody’s confusion over his immunity deal, preemptively arranged for a new attorney, Mr. Engelberger, to take over the case.

According to 11Alive, the trial adjourned early, with Judge Whitaker labeling the delay as a “scheduling and procedural hiccup” before dismissing the jury for the day.

This minor interruption adds more length to Young Thug’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) trial, already marked by an array of controversies and delays.

The rapper, along with 27 other alleged members of the YSL gang, faces charges of racketeering, gang conspiracy, and weapons possession dating back to May 2022.

Complications have marred the trial from the start.

Jury selection stretched over ten months due to numerous excuses from potential jurors.

Even after seating the jury, troubles continued: one juror was jailed for recording inside the courtroom, and another gaffe occurred when a courtroom camera inadvertently revealed jurors’ faces.

Missteps didn’t stop there.

One lawyer was jailed for bringing drugs into the courtroom. Meanwhile, Young Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel, faced contempt charges after refusing to disclose how he discovered a secretive meeting between a key witness, the prosecution, and Judge Ural Glanville.

The latter issue led to Judge Glanville’s recusal after intense motions and clashes from the defense about handling Lil Woody, who was deemed a hostile and unreliable witness.

The trial came to a standstill until the appointment of a new judge.

Judge Paige Reese Whitaker has since stepped in. These cumulative delays have increased the trial’s complexity and duration to unprecedented levels.

Plies Unimpressed By “Rich White Men” Following Donald Trump & Elon Musk Interview

Plies is essentially not drinking the Kool-Aid when it comes to the lore that’s associated with entrepreneurs like Elon Musk and Donald Trump.

The “Shawty” rapper expressed his opinion while reacting to Musk and Trump’s recent interview on the Teslaf founder’s Twitter (X) social media platform. In a candid Instagram video, Plies didn’t hold back as he shared his unfiltered opinion on the fascination with wealthy white men like Musk and Trump.

“My Response To The ELON TRUMP Sit Down!!” he wrote. ‘I’m Just One Of The Few People Who Isn’t That Impressed By The Rich White Man’…. I Respect It But I Don’t Salivate Over The Rich White Mans Success!! Hope I Didn’t Offend Anyone! Thoughts? #Plies #KingCircleHat.”

In the lengthy video, Plies broke down point for point why the success of these figures doesn’t resonate with him, highlighting the advantages they’ve had from the start — especially in light of Musk and Trump’s recent conversation.

“Ask me what was my opinion on the whole Elon Trump sit down over there on Twitter X last night,” Plies began. “And I don’t mean this in a racial way, it’s just really how I feel. I think I’m one of the few people who are really not that impressed by the rich white man. Whether you was one that dad gave you 25,000 startup money, or in this case over here, your dad left you with 300 or 500 million. And lemme be clear, I ain’t trying to discredit them having successful supportive fathers in their life. I think that’s something we all wish and hope for.”

Plies explained, making it clear that his perspective isn’t rooted in resentment but in a deeper understanding of the factors at play. in doing so, he shifted the focus to the stories that do inspire him, such as NFL quarterback Lamar Jackson, who recently made headlines with a massive contract that his mother negotiated on his behalf.

“I’ve always respected people who look like me and come from where I come from,” he shared. “Whether you Lamar Jackson, the kid from Pompano who had to navigate the system and now is in a situation where you just did a deal for a quarter billion dollars, 200 million. Mom is the one who negotiated the deal for you. They didn’t have that kind of money in their twenties and their thirties. He ain’t go to Stanford, he ain’t go to UPenn.”

A post shared by AllHipHop (@allhiphopcom)

Jackson’s journey, from a public school kid to one of the NFL’s highest-paid players, exemplifies the rags-to-riches narrative that Plies finds truly impressive. However, Plies did go on to admit that recipients of generational wealth do deserve credit in one major aspect concerning their fortunes.

“The only difference between them and us, it’s what you do with the money,” he said. “That’s the only difference I do give them credit for.”

Plies conceded, acknowledging that while billionaires like Musk and Trump might be savvy with their investments, they don’t earn his admiration simply for their financial success.

“It’s not that they have the money, they just have convinced other people to give them their money,” he said. “So for me, I don’t knock what they do, I just don’t salivate over the success of the rich white man because I understand we are ahead of the curve now, and it all boils down to what we do with the money.”

Plies’ criticism of Musk and Trump is not at all unsolicited. He has been outspoken about his disdain for the former president for quite sometime and most recently alleged that Musk purchased Twitter (X) for the sole purpose of influencing the election in favor of Trump.

Flavor Flav’s Bronze Clock Gift For Jordan Chiles Gets Her Mother’s Attention

The bronze medal Jordan Chiles was awarded at the 2024 Paris Olympics was recently stripped from the gymnast over a score dispute. Upon hearing the news, Flavor Flav—the official sponsor for the U.S. women’s water polo team—vowed to gift her a bronze clock.

“Ayyy YOOOO @ChilesJordan, imma make you a BRONZE CLOCK NECKLACE, and that’s something NO ONE else has!!!” he wrote on Twitter (X). “Hit me up my girl, I gotchu!!!” In record time, Flavor Flav delivered on his promise, saying, “USA gonna Fight the Powers that be for our girl Jordan Chiles, but in the meantime between time, I gots ya this one of a kind Bronze clock. Thankx to @ROCK’N STONES for creating this gem so quickly!!!”

Meanwhile, Chiles is justifiably taking time away from social media as she focuses on her mental health. Par for the course, she’s been a victim of cyberbullying since the whole debacle kicked off. Her mother Gina, on the other hand, did happen to see Flavor Flav’s posts and responded kindly, “Thank you. Means the world. She’s not on socials right now, as you can imagine. I’ll share it with her.”

Chiles had initially finished fifth in the competition on August 5 before U.S. coach Cecile Landi successfully lobbied that Chiles’ difficulty score had been undercredited. Officials on the scene agreed and adjusted her score by 0.1 points to 13.766, which elevated Chiles above two Romanian athletes. Consequently, Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said he’d refuse to attend the Olympic closing ceremony in protest.

Nearly a week later, the International Olympic Committee said it would abide by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which ruled that Landi’s protest was made 64 seconds after scores were posted—while the deadline for such debate is one minute.

Chiles’ bronze medal, which she won for her floor exercise routine, was ultimately stripped by the International Olympic Committee and given to Romanian gymnast Ana Bărbosu. The decision caused an uproar on social media, with many calling it “deeply anti-Black.”

The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee filed an appeal, but it was denied.

Flavor Flav’s involvement in the Olympics began when he saw a social media post from the U.S. women’s water polo team’s captain, Maggie Steffens, seeking financial support. Moved by their dedication, Flav decided to sponsor the team for five years, providing both financial backing and energetic support.

In addition to cheering from the sidelines, he joined the team during training sessions, bringing his trademark enthusiasm to boost the players’ morale. His involvement has also helped bring more attention to water polo, particularly among communities that traditionally haven’t engaged with the sport.

Dr. Dre Not Comfortable On Stage Without Snoop Dogg

Dr. Dre explained his “magical” synergy with Snoop Dogg after the iconic duo performed during the closing of the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Dre, 59, expressed to ET Online that his on-stage chemistry with Snoop is irreplaceable, revealing he feels most at ease when they perform together.

“I don’t even feel comfortable performing without Snoop,” Dre said. “Something about the synergy that me and Snoop have is really interesting.”

During the pre-recorded segment, the duo performed their iconic hit, “The Next Episode.”

Interestingly, Dre also disclosed that the performance clip was recorded just a day before it aired, an impressive feat of secrecy managed by the Olympic Committee.

“It was filmed the day before it aired,” he clarified. “So trying to keep that a secret for that amount of time seems like it would’ve been impossible, but they made it happen!”

Dre, always candid, humbly described himself as a supporting act to Snoop’s star power while on stage, a dynamic distinct from their studio collaborations.

“Really, Snoop, he’s the superstar,” Dre mentioned. “I’m the co-star when we get on stage. It’s different when we’re in the studio, you know? I’m the captain when we’re in the studio, but when we go outside, Snoop is the guy.”

Dr. Dre explained his deep relationship with Snoop Dogg after their electrifying performance at the end of the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Lil Woody Admits To Shooting Up Rich Homie Quan’s Dad’s Barbershop

Lil Woody confessed to shooting up the barbershop owned by the father of rapper Rich Homie Quan.

The admission came during his testimony on August 12, 2024, when Fulton County Deputy District Attorney Simone Hylton questioned him.

After he asked Judge Paige Reese Whitaker if he could be charged with a crime, and it was confirmed he would not be, Lil Woody detailed his involvement in the 2014 shooting.

He explained that he and an associate known as “Threat” decided to target the barbershop as part of an ongoing feud.

“Me and Threat shot up Rich Homie Quan’s dad’s barbershop on Bankhead. It wasn’t about him personally, but we needed to send a message that we ain’t the ones to play with…we ain’t the ones to play with, and we wanted to make it clear that nobody should be messing with us or trying to test our loyalty.”

When pressed about the motivations behind the attack, Woody revealed that it stemmed from Threat’s anger toward Rich Homie Quan.

“He was talking like we somebody to play with, and I was ready,” Woody testified. He further admitted that he didn’t question Threat’s decision to proceed with the shooting.

“I don’t ask no questions. I just said let’s go,” Woody recounted, showing his unwavering loyalty to Threat.

The shooting occurred before the murder of Donovan “Nut” Thomas, a key figure whose death has been a focal point in the Young Thug’s trial.

Lil Woody confirmed that the barbershop attack was unrelated to Thomas’s death.

“I had them choppers, and we were prepared to show anyone who doubted us that we weren’t to be taken lightly…the beef was between me, Threat, and them. It wasn’t about YSL or anything larger. It was personal, between us and those who were trying to cross our paths.”

Rumors Of New Kanye West Documentary Emerge

Kanye West is on a roll. Yep, there’s a rumor that Kanye West is going to have another documentary released on his life. As you know, the last documentary focused on his past life and his rise to the top. Since then, a lot more has happened. It’s been more or less a downward free fall. He’s lost just about everything but the public’s insatiable desire to see him.

So, I would love to see a documentary on what his life looks like nowadays. One thing that hasn’t stopped is his ability to garner attention. He has consistently been able to get people to look at him. It’s been increasingly difficult because there are so many more characters in the music business. Like, when Drake and Kendrick Lamar were getting all the attention, he tried to infringe on that. It didn’t work.

Are you interested in seeing another documentary on Ye? I’m not sure I do. But, I know there are some younger people who can still stomach their “G.O.A.T.” As for me, eh! No disrespect, but it just feels like he’s in another space—outer space. Seriously, I’d watch if it was similar to jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy.

It seems like Kanye West gets more attention for marrying a woman who’s willing to walk around completely naked than making music. Am I wrong?

Nicki Minaj’s Former Manager Deb Antney Condemns Female Rappers For Oversexualization

We are in an era where rap is still synonymous with raw talent, powerful lyrics and unfiltered expression, and the voices of women in the industry have emerged as the dominant voices. Regardless, the diversity is in question and veteran mogul Deb Antney believes there are a myriad of challenges.

As the longtime businesswoman and manager promoted her new show, Deb’s House, she opened up about the often harsh realities women face in the music industry. At the same time, being proactive, she also introduced rising star Rocky, her latest protégé.

Deb Antney, who has managed Nicki Minaj, Kash Doll, Gucci Mane, son Waka Flocka and others, didn’t hold back. She delved into the persistent over-sexualization of women in music in a candid interview with Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur.

“I need women to get right,” she said. “I need your legs closed and your pocketbooks open. It’s time for us to get to this business.”

Her call to action was clear: it’s about reclaiming respect and focusing on the business acumen that many women possess.

Antney’s frustration with the industry’s superficial demands was palpable. She lamented, “You’re not pretty enough, your body ain’t good enough, your t###### ain’t big enough, your behind ain’t big enough.”

These are the toxic criticisms that many women endure, even stopping some some from accomplishing their dreams in the rough-n-tumble music industry. Professional challenges aside, Antney pointed out how the industry’s demands bleed into personal lives, affecting self-esteem and mental health.

“Who’s going to protect me?” she asked, noting a lack of support women can feel in a male-dominated field. Antney’s concern also extended to the next generation.

“Look at our babies,” she said. “People [are] putting little kids on the internet cussing like sailors and think that’s cute.”

Antney issued a call-to-action to classic rap acts with Creekmur stressing vets like MC Lyte and Yo-Yo have been leading the charge on their platforms.

“We have to get them together,” she said. “I need all my old-school rappers and singers to come through. These girls need guidance. The call for veteran artists to mentor the younger generation is crucial in fostering an environment where respect and success can coexist.”

Rocky, a rising star under Antney’s wing, shared her journey and the grit it takes to succeed in such a competitive industry. Her decidedly Philly story is one of resilience and authenticity, embodying the struggle many women face in the industry.

“I’ve heard a lot of men talk about it,” Antney said, referring to the industry’s oversaturation with sexual images and messages. Creekmur noted some men are not comfortable talking about the topic but were open to change within the industry.

However, Antney insisted respect must be earned and demanded: “You have to teach people how to treat you.”

Blac Chyna Jokes “Filler Blindness” Had Her Face Looking “Crazy”

Blac Chyna says her face looks so much better now she has ditched the filler and admitted she was blind to the effects of the facial injections.

The reality TV star has undergone a dramatic transformation in recent years, which included removing her facial filler last year. During a recent Instagram Live, Blac Chyna said her face has improved since abandoning the filler.

“Yeah, my face is way better,” she responded to a fan. “Way, way better. I had ‘filler blindness,’’ she added, explaining that she was “blind to the fillers.”

According to Blac Chyna, she kept going back for more facial injections, confessing she was “looking crazy.”

Back in April, Blac Chyna showed off her fresh face in a “no filter” selfie. “Just pure skin, baby…and the sun,” she said.

“This is me now,” she explained during an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show. “So you can see the difference, right here in the cheek area. Yeah, see when I smile, now you can see all of my teeth. I had so much filler in my lips to where as though I couldn’t even barely smile, but you see now when I smile.”

As part of her transformation, Blac Chyna also ditched drugs and alcohol and celebrated 21 months of sobriety in June.

She shared a video of herself dancing around in her backyard and holding a sign that read, “21 months sober.”

Dr. Dre On Upcoming Snoop Dogg Album: “Some Of The Best Music I’ve Done”

Dr. Dre is hyped about his upcoming album with Snoop Dogg, revealing the project is some of his best-ever work.

The iconic duo closed out the 2024 Paris Olympics in a handoff ceremony for the Los Angeles 2028 with a stellar performance of their hit “The Next Episode.”

However, the pair are also cooking up a new album for the first time in over three decades. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dre opened up about the project titled Missionary, which is set to drop later this year.

According to Dre, it was “much more fun” this time around. “It’s been 30 years, believe it or not. I’ve only produced one album with Snoop, which was Doggy Style, and that was 30 years ago,” Dre said. “We’ve done a lot of things in between and songs and performances and films and things of that nature, but this is my first time actually producing an entire album with him.”

Dre reflected on working with a teenage Snoop, stating, ”This one is gonna show a different level of maturity with his lyrics and with my music.”  He added, “I feel like this is some of the best music I’ve done in my career.”

Dr. Dre On “Superstar” Snoop Dogg

The iconic West Coast rapper was one of the stars of the 2024 Games, and so he was an appropriate choice to wrap the event with Dre. While the superproducer was a surprise guest on the night, he gave all credit to Snoop Dogg.

“Really, Snoop, he’s the superstar,” he explained. “I’m the co-star when we get on stage. It’s different when we’re in the studio, you know? I’m the captain when we’re in the studio, but when we go outside, Snoop is the guy.”

Furthermore, Dre admitted, “I don’t even feel comfortable performing without Snoop,” lauding their partnership as “magical.” He continued, adding, “Something about the synergy that me and Snoop have is really interesting.”

Dre also revealed that he and Snoop recorded the clip in advance, with production banning cellphones to maintain the surprise.

“It was filmed the day before it aired,” Dre explained. “So trying to keep that a secret for that amount of time seems like it would’ve been impossible, but (the Olympic Committee) made it happen!”

Joe Budden Sparks Fierce Debate After Claiming Latto Raps Better Than Doja Cat

Joe Buden caused a stir online after his remarks about the top three female rappers in the game.

The topic arose during a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, with the rapper-turned-podcaster claiming Latto is a much better rapper than Doja Cat, who Budden doesn’t rate so highly.

While Budden believes Nicki Minaj is certified at the top spot, he wasn’t so sure about the other places.

“Latto is ill,” Budden declared before adding, “I might have to have her [at] number two.” He continued, “Nicki is number one for me. I think Latto would give Doja a long night.”

Budden doubled down after his co-host said that Doja Cat can rap. “She can’t rap like that,” he insisted. Budden then claimed that while Doja Cat might be the “bigger” and more “well-rounded” artist, Latto is still the better rapper.

“If I’m just talking about rapping, Doja can pack it up if Latto walk in the studio with her notebook,” he explained.

Joe Budden then fired a shot at Cardi B following their recent online spat.

“I love Cardi but I mean, there’s the rumors so I’ll leave that alone,” he added, referring to ghostwriting allegations.“Latto is confirmed, that to be her pen. She really loves Hip-Hop, like she’s one of those girls.”

Doja Cat Fans Debate Latto Comparison

However, Doja Cat fans took to X (Twitter) to defend the singer/rapper, insisting the “Say So” hitmaker can outrap Latto.

“This conversation is extremely tired,” one fan replied. “Doja is one of the best rappers out right now. She can rap circles around most new male and female rappers. Y’all can’t handle multitalented artists, y’all are too used to artists that fit in one box like Nicki.”

“There’s no way to arrive at the conclusion that Latto raps better than Doja Cat,” another person added. “Im sorry.”

“I fw joe budden,” a third person commented. “But for him to say latto is a better rapper than doja???? He’s lost it.”

Latto made her breakthrough by proving her rap credentials on Jermaine Dupri’s reality television series The Rap Game, while Doja Cat has faced criticism that she’s more pop star than rapper

However, Last April, Doja Cat admitted that her “rap verses are mid and corny,” and promised “No more pop.”

Rick Ross Pranks Snoozing Friend With Leaf Blower Wake Up Call

Rick Ross refuses to tolerate laziness, even from his close friends, as one homie found out when he thought he could sleep in while staying at Rozay’s house.

On Monday (August 12), the MMG honcho shared some customary words of wisdom on his Instagram Story to motivate his followers. After discussing the importance of getting an early start, Rick Ross discovered that one of his friends was still fast asleep and decided to prank him.

“You see I’m talking about muthafuckas sleeping late,” Ross said. “I just realized I got somebody under the same roof with me, it’s what 11:30? He’s still asleep. That can’t be tolerated. I got to do something about it, y’all ready? Come with me.”

Ross filmed as another friend entered a bedroom and aimed a leaf blower directly into the sleeping man’s mouth before turning the power on. Now awake, the man suddenly jumped and began swiping with his pillow as everybody laughed off-camera.

“Can’t be sleeping on the money man,” Rick Ross said after pranking his friend. “It’s only going to hurt one person.”

Meanwhile, in other Rick Ross news, the Drake fan who infamously threw a punch at the rapper in Canada has dropped a diss track.

Using the alias Icarus, the man taunted Rozay on “White Boy.” He even featured a chain in the visuals allegedly belonging to Ross’ longtime DJ, Sam Sneak.

The music video also includes footage of the Vancouver brawl, including Rick Ross fleeing the chaos. Watch the “White Boy” video below.

Donald Trump Roasted Over Slurred Speech During Glitchy Elon Musk Twitter Chat

Donald Trump joined Elon Musk for a two-hour interview on the billionaire entrepreneur’s social media platform X (Twitter), but it did not go as planned, with both men facing ridicule over a conversation riddled with technical glitches.

The Spaces chat got off to a very shaky start as over 870,000 users waited for the host to begin more than 40 minutes after the scheduled start time. Once the conversation got underway, Trump spent most of the interview discussing the assassination attempt and illegal immigration, repeating his proposal for mass deportation.

However, in addition to the technical failures, listeners focused on Donald Trump’s speech. The Republican presidential candidate appeared to slur his words at times and had users questioning if he developed a lisp.

“Daffy Duck” was trending No. 1 on X, with people mocking Donald Trump and sharing snippets of the chat.

“I heard people talking about this but I was not ready for how pronounced it is,” one user shared. “This is daffy duck s###.”

Another person called for a “wellness check,” while a third said Donald Trump “sounds like a disoriented, racist Daffy Duck.”

Additionally, users also slammed Elon Musk’s claim that a “massive DDOS attack” caused any technical difficulties.

“There’s no DDOS, you d######,” one user wrote. “This is what happens when you dismantle the infrastructure and then try to host a high profile, highly advertised event. F###### imbecile, I swear to god.”

Another user questions how a cyberattack could “target one specific Twitter Space” yet leave “the entire rest of the platform completely unaffected.”

Despite the disastrous Donald Trump Interview, Elon Musk extended an invitation to Kamala Harris.

“Happy to host Kamala on an 𝕏 Spaces too,” he wrote.

EXCLUSIVE: Kanye West Sued For $1.5M Over Pictures Of Himself & Wife

Kanye West is the subject of a copyright infringement lawsuit filed by BackGrid USA, Inc. and Backgrid London Ltd.

The complaint alleges that he used photographs of a series of snaps featuring Kanye West and his second wife, Bianca Censori.

One image shows West in all black with his face down while Censori strolls in a nude sheer outfit clutching a purple pillow.

“Yall know who ran the summer,” the caption read.

Another picture features West and Censori arriving at Milan’s Nuova Arena Restaurant in February.

A third photo features him entering the Balenciaga store to treat Censori to a shopping spree with the caption “flex.” Some of the pictures were posted on his Instagram feed, while others were shared as posts in his Instagram stories.

In total, West is being sued for illegally posting 10 images of himself and his wife.

BackGrid asserts that Kanye West reproduced, distributed and displayed these photographs without consent on his Instagram accounts and the Yeezy website, thereby violating federal copyright law.

The lawsuit says West engaged in unauthorized use of the photographs, which led to financial gains and increased traffic to West’s online platforms.

BackGrid, having attempted to resolve the dispute amicably before litigation, now seeks substantial damages, including statutory damages of up to $150,000 per work and attorney’s fees and injunctive relief. In total, BackGrid is looking to squeeze at least $1.5 million out of Kanye West.

Ice Cube Says FIBA Is Blocking Big3 Game Vs. Olympic Gold Medalist 3×3 Basketball Team

Ice Cube is figuratively forcing the hand of FIBA, the International Basketball Federation, following his challenge of the 2024 Paris Olympics gold medal-winning 3×3 Men’s basketball team.

During a recent interview at one of his league’s games, Cube provided an update on his recent challenge to the winners of the three-on-three basketball competition during the Olympic games.

While the “No Vaseline” rap OG indicated that the gold medal-winning team, The Netherlands, had agreed to play against the Big3, he appeared convinced the game wouldn’t actually materialize. His reasoning, of course, was none other than what he alleges is interference from FIBA.

“Well, to their credit, they [The Netherlands] accepted the challenge, but it’s FIBA,” Ice Cube said. “FIBA is scared of the Big3. So FIBA is preventing them from playing in our all-star game. So don’t look like it’s going to happen because of that.

“It sucks when politicians get in the way of sports and fandom, but we’re going to still have a great all-star game. Still going to have a great championship celebrity game next week. No sweat off our brow.”

Though it appears as though the Big3 match up against The Netherland’s may not occur this year, Cube seemed enthusiastic about the thought of playing future exhibition games overseas with players from his league.

“We’ll play ’em anywhere they want to play, any rules they want to play with,” he said. “We still think we got the best three-on-three players in the world.”

This isn’t the first time the West Coast Hip-Hop legend has accused a major power in the world of basketball of attempting to foil the success and longevity of the Big3. Last year in July he called on the National Basketball Association (NBA) to drop a bylaw he believes is unfairly hindering his league’s growth. It was then when Cube expressed his frustration with the NBA’s rule that prohibits NBA team owners from investing in competing leagues in a recent interview with JR Sportbrief on WFAN Sports Radio.

“The NBA has a bylaw that states that no one who owns an NBA team can invest in a competing league,” Ice Cube explained. “The Big3 is great. We got some of the best players that ever played the game playing three-on-three. But in no way, shape, or form are we competing with the NBA, so they need to cut that out.”
