J. Cole Pulls Up On Aspiring Rapper In Queens Project For A Listening Session

J. Cole has once again shown how much time he has for his fans, pulling up to meet one in the projects to hear his music.

The Dreamville co-founder linked with an emerging rapper on Wednesday evening (Mar. 22), meeting him in the 40 Project in Queens, New York.

Ty Trilly took to Instagram after the meeting to share a video of his encounter with J. Cole.

“Listening session wit cole in my project Lobby,’ he penned in the caption. Cole is seen listening intently while nodding his head to the track. He offered the young artist some advice after he explained he wanted to add a second verse. While Cole empathized, he told Ty Trilly to drop the track without it.

“You don’t even need it,’ J. Cole declared before adding, “Put that b#### out! Next! Shoot the video, pout that b#### out. It’s gone’ land on the people it’s supposed to land on.”

J. Cole Gives Producer The Stamp Of Approval

This isn’t the first time J. Cole has co-signed a new and relatively unknown artist. Earlier this year he made an up-and-coming producer’s dream come true, sending him a song he recorded after finding his beat on YouTube.

While searching for inspiration one day, he stumbled across the YouTube page of up-and-coming producer Bvtman after searching for a “J. Cole type beat.”

“This song should live on your channel and serve as a thank you to you and every producer out there cooking up and sharing their work with the world,” Cole told the beatmaker. “It’s a million artists out there right now just like me, hungry and searching every day for something to spark a word, a melody, a hook, a verse, a punchline, a way to vent, or a way to CUT THROUGH.”

The song has garnered over 3.5 million views in just over two months. Listen to “Procrastination” below.

Wack 100 is speaking up for Tekashi 6ix9ine after the controversial rapper was seriously injured in a beatdown earlier this week.

6ix9ine was at a South Florida LA Fitness when he was suddenly set upon by several men. The controversial rapper was rushed to hospital after being beaten in the brutal attack, which left his face covered in wounds. He also reportedly suffered extensive injuries, including a blood clot in his eye and multiple fractured ribs.

Wack 100, who’s typically outspoken on anything rap-related, took to Instagram on Wednesday (Mar. 22) to show his support for The Brooklyn-based artist.

“It’s unfortunate what happened to 6ix9ine,” Wack 100 began his post “He’s a good guy. Life is full of lessons. This isn’t about his so called street situation. This is about decision making on both sides. The ones who filmed and posted themselves will remember this day for years to come. And 69 will now know he has to move accordingly. #staydangerous & don’t hesitate.”

A video has emerged showing two men attacking the loudmouth rapper as he writhes around on the ground, attempting to shield his face with his arms. While the video does not show the start of the attack one man is shown stomping on the rapper’s ribs. “Take a picture, I wanna be famous now,” the unidentified man says while holding 6ix9ine by the hair to face the camera after landing the blow.

Another man then lands a vicious kick on 6ix9ine as he protests in pain. Check out the video below.

Another clip shows a shoeless 6ix9ine, bloody and beaten in the moments following the attack. “They jumped me n####” he said to the person recording as he attempted to exit the building.

Lil Yachty, Soulja Boy, Akon & Others To Pay SEC More Than $400,000 In Cryptocurrency Promotion Scheme

Lil Yachty, Soulja Boy, Akon, and Ne-Yo, are among a group of celebrities the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) charged with promoting cryptocurrencies without disclosing they were being paid to do so.

The other stars named in an SEC press release shared on Wednesday (Mar. 22), are Lindsay Lohan, Jake Paul, Austin Mahone, and Michele Mason.

They were charged with “illegally touting” TRX and/or BTT, crypto asset securities Tronix (TRX), and BitTorrent (BTT). The SEC also announced charges against crypto asset entrepreneur Justin Sun and three of his companies “for the unregistered offer and sale,” of the above crypto asset securities.

The companies are Tron Foundation Limited, BitTorrent Foundation Ltd., and Rainberry Inc. (formerly BitTorrent). Justin Sun and his companies faced further charges for “fraudulently manipulating the secondary market for TRX through extensive wash trading.”

The SEC also alleges that Sun violated the antifraud and market manipulation provisions of the federal securities laws. They claimed he planned to artificially inflate the trading figures of TRX in the secondary market. In addition, they accuse him of planning a scheme to pay celebrities to tout TRX and BTT without disclosing their compensation.

All of the celebs, save Cortez Way and Mahone, agreed to pay up more than $400,000 in disgorgement, interest, and penalties to settle the charges. They will not have to admit or deny the allegations.

“This case demonstrates again the high risk investors face when crypto asset securities are offered and sold without proper disclosure,” said SEC Chair Gary Gensler

European Politicians Post Battle Raps On Twitter

The sport of battle rap is one of the most exciting parts of the culture. Now, an unlikely world leader is at the center of diss gaining steam in Eastern Europe.

Daniel Freund, a member of the European Parliament from Germany, is featured on a track aimed to ether Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Freund tweeted, “I asked #ChatGPT to write a rap song about corruption in Hungary. Fascinating.”

The politician posted the rap that said, “He’s been stacking the courts, packing the press; Making sure his critics are silenced, no less; Using public funds to line his own pockets; It’s time to call him out, let’s unlock it.”

“From football clubs to luxury castles; Orban’s empire is built on scams and hustles; It’s time to clean up, it’s time to fight; We won’t back down until Orban’s out of sight,” continued the rhyme made by Artificial Intelligence.

Freund used, according to the BBC, ChatGPT, which has a feature that does everything from writing essays to computing code to writing raps!

When asked about the app’s ability to write a rhyme, Freund said he was “quite impressed how it put widely known accusations against the Orban government into a rap text.”

One of Orbans reps, Hungarian government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs attempted to clap back with his own ChatGPT diss.

The app generated a full song with lyrics and verses regarding his foe— but instead of shredding him, it basically showered the Green party official with compliments.

He tweeted, “Pardon my French, but ChatGPT is nothing more than a b####### generator. Nothing proves this better than the song it gave us about @daniel_freund . Sure, he is a true “fighter for democracy”

“Yo, let me tell you ‘bout Daniel Freund. A German politician that you need to comprehend; Representing the Greens in the Bundestag; Fighting for justice and freedom, He’s got swag,” read the first verse.

The second says, “From transparency to human rights; Daniel Freund’s agenda is shining bright; He’s exposing corruption in the EU; Making sure that the truth comes through.”

Meet Mallio: The Next Rapper Out Of Cincinnati, Ohio

Mallio is here to put on for his city of Cincinnati, Ohio.

On the intro to his recent single and visual, “5pm in Cincinnati,” Mallio is heard saying: “If you can make it out of Cincinnati, man you can make it anywhere.”

Mallio prides himself in his unique sound, blending the old school and new school into one. His music is something anybody can relate to, in any generation. Whether it’s uptempo or universal, Mallio reminds you he just loves music overall.

When asked to describe himself, Mallio humbles it down to the fact that he’s human like the rest of us. “I’m just a cool, loving, caring guy man,” he states. “I’m fun. Very, very, very intelligent. Very handsome.”

Most recently, Mallio unveiled his newest album titled TMFG, a 15-track project surrounding the theme of The Many-Faced God. As evidenced in all his bodies of work: the rising star talks to a wide array of audiences from all around the world, offering a diverse palette and variety of sounds with each release.

AllHipHop caught up with Mallio to discuss his roots in Cincinnati, biggest influences, the new project, his ski mask tattoo, and more!

AllHipHop: I’m so sorry about the Bengals. You good?

Mallio: Hey look man, you leave them Bengals out of this. [laughs] You can’t beat the refs, I don’t care what you doing. To be honest though, they had all these losing seasons. Me for the most part, I think it’s pretty cool to even see him going to the championships. Plus, you know how when a team’s winning? It changed the whole environment, everything around just upped. That’s pretty cool, to witness the unity.

Even going to the little bars and seeing everybody coexisting that’s the major thing to me. It be these little small subtle things people don’t really pay attention to, I observe that when I be out. Damn, that’s cool as f###. There’s normally two different sides of the tracks, we wouldn’t even meet these m############. But here we are in one spot.

AllHipHop: What was that like growing up in Cincinnati?

Mallio: I grew up in West End of Cincinnati, it’s very different now. They did that pretty much everywhere, the gentrification and all that. At this present time, it’s a little different. But when I grew up, it was rough. Project to project, it’s almost the cliche hood guy story. That upbringing, in and out of jail. Went to prison for a while. Got focused on being a newer, better overall person.

Cincinnati, it’s a cool place. It’s a very, very difficult place to really get out of here because of how small Cincinnati is. [laughs] Resourcefully: if you can make it out of here, you can make it anywhere.

AllHipHop: When did you fall in love with music?

Mallio: I was a kid man, little bitty kid. My mom, rest in heaven. I grew up on Anita Baker, Sade, those type artists. Barry White, Ron Isley and Bootsy Collins, all them guys. All the greats, respect to them. My dad on the other hand, he was more rock and roll, Nickelback, reggae music. But we all listened to hip hop. I fell in love with music, I was a little kid man. I used to have CDs, tapes. I had everything growing up.

AllHipHop: What’s your favorite Rick Ross song?

Mallio: The song with him and CeeLo Green, “Tears of Joy.” Huey P. Newton come on the front of it.

I know the words off the rip.

AllHipHop: Who else influences you?

Mallio: Him, Yo Gotti, Jay Z, J Prince. Not Jr., Sr. E-40, them guys on the entrepreneur side. Because even when I sat down and started to look at music as a whole: damn, where can I see myself? That was kind of it. In this lifetime, the Most High put me in a position to be a leader. Seeing those influences in front of me, yeah that’s it. Even now, the guys, Drake and all them, I’m inspired by all them. Anybody makes it out of the circumstances and get to where they going, it’s always a beautiful thing to me. I’m pretty sure you probably got a story too. See, I could draw inspiration from even you.

AllHipHop: How’d you get your name?

Mallio: Mallio is from my last name. My last name was Mallory, you know just being around hood riddling m############. [laughs] They called me B Mallio for a minute. Everybody around me kept saying B, so they started saying Mallio. And it stuck. Once my mom started saying it, it stuck. It was over with.

AllHipHop: New project, TMFG. Talk about the meaning behind the title.

Mallio: TMFG, there’s an assortment of sounds on there. It’s unique. When you hear it, it’s big. It’s theatrical. Talking about Cincinnati, I tap into what’s going on in Cincy. I talked a little bit about some of my exploitations around the country, just moving being me. The actual title is The Many-Faced God, that’s what TMFG stands for. Everybody knows where the inspiration comes from if you watch Game of Thrones. Overall, I’m a universal guy. I’m a universal entrepreneur, into a whole lot of things around my city and around the country.

AllHipHop: What businesses do you have?

Mallio: Right now, just started the trucking company. I’ve always been into promotions. Of course, I grew from being the weed guy. [laughs] Amongst other things, had to grow up. I’m moving moving like that now.

AllHipHop: You’ve collaborated with Ty Dolla $ign. Any recent collabs that you’re excited about?

Mallio: Nope, not on the table right now. Right now, I’m just trying to get my legs up under me. Meeting people like you, this the important thing. In the past, I’ve done features. I got a Nicki Minaj feature early in the game. I’m on a feature with Alley Boy, a couple other artists that I can’t remember off the head. It’s online somewhere, a lot of this s###.

More so now, I’m more focused on the media. Y’all make this work, this the time now. Features? Nah, I’m into the groundwork right now. Really moving around like hey, what’s going on? This is me. I can’t move around like I’m from LA or New York, the big cities. I’m from Cincinnati, I’m from a small city so I got to get in the mix of things. That’s it.

AllHipHop: How’s the independent grind?

Mallio: It’s a journey in its own. It’s filled with education. [laughs] What we put out into the universe, we gotta be mindful of that. I can’t really say “yeah, this hard.” None of that. But when I really sit down and look at the overall picture, it’s a beautiful journey. The ups and the downs. Because through every down, I get progression and I go forward from it. Step by step, baby steps. I’m getting closer and closer to my dreams with it, and that’s the overall thing.

AllHipHop: One thing you want people to take away from the project?

Mallio: Just my overall quality. The sound, the lyrics. Hearing the genuine story from another perspective, on Cincinnati street life. It’s theatrical. I got a big sound. Hearing my side of the story, coming from Cincinnati. Just giving people a little insight  on Cincinnati. We more than just what they think, and what they think they know and the people that they see so far. I’m a real Cincinnati guy. Real Cincinnati love around this m###########. [laughs]

AllHipHop: Do you still stay in Cincinnati?

Mallio: Yeah, at the moment. I’m in between here and LA. In Downey.

instagram.com/p/CmLXLt0tGf9/?hl=en

AllHipHop: Can we talk about your tattoos?

Mallio: Oh my ski mask? Most of my life, in and out of prison. I guess I could talk about it, s### it’s the past. I used to be a robbery boy. After I slowed down on that, I started putting overall life into perspective, and really seeing the beauty in life. Because I remember really being steeped in that mindset. I really didn’t have dreams, I didn’t have a conscience. Go to sleep, wake up, do some b#######. Go to sleep, wake up, do some more b#######. It was just that.

When I first put that on my stomach, it was a reminder of where I came from. My message behind it to myself, my personal Post-it note was: because my belly was big, this what greed look like. I came home… I’m real artistic in that way. All my tattoos got some type of meaning. I branded myself with that. Then I said f### it, I’ma turn it into a brand.

When I came home from the joint, s### I looked like a g###### actual figure. But as time going on, I’m doing hella s###. Just getting back into it, I’m like man f### it. I’ma put the ski mask on my stomach, then I put the note above it that said “take life.” A lot of people don’t admit that. I’m not necessarily proud of it, but I do talk about it.

AllHipHop: Best encounter with a fan?

Mallio: Aw s###, I get that all the time. It’s crazy. I was just telling my guy. Lil bro, I be forgetting that I’m popular. [laughs] So I’ll be somewhere… I went to the Gala last night, just a little bar here downtown. I’m talking about it’s guys like “what’s up OG?” I be forgetting sometimes that I rap. People walking up to me and touching me, I always get hella love man. I always get hella love.

I can’t necessarily say one encounter because I get people that’ll walk up on me. like once in Miami, someone knew who I was. Took a picture with me and everything, that blew me away. I had an encounter in Dallas, an encounter at the airport in Atlanta. Me, I’m looking at my numbers like man, this s### don’t reflect this. I don’t know man, maybe the most I had was putting them people in my way. Giving me little bread crumbs to keep going. I’ve never even looked at that until now, but yeah that’s cold.

AllHipHop: Any goals you have for yourself at this point in your career?

Mallio: Hell yeah, to get in that public eye. That’s the first thing. I’m at the point now, I’m looking for distribution. Because I’m limited on what I can really do. We all know, yeah, this is a financially driven industry, but s###, you only gon’ get so far spending so much money. I don’t give a f### if you got a million dollar budget. If it’s not in the right hands, your ass grass.

AllHipHop: Anything else you want the people to know? Anything you’re excited for?

Mallio: Life! I want the people to know everyday, you got something to wake up and go do man. You gotta wake up and enjoy this m###########. Get up and experience it. No matter how tough things may seem, get your ass up man and go do something. Because there’s a lot of people who can’t experience even what you experienced. There’s a lot of people that can’t go through the struggle, that even you going through. Outside of that, you can follow me on IG:

@mallio_tmfg. All my music, I’m on every platform. Check me out. High quality stuff man!

42 Dugg Faces More Time In Prison After Pleading Guilty To Failure To Surrender

Interscope Records artist 42 Dugg pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody to serve a six-month sentence for illegal possession of a firearm.

According to the Detroit News, 42 Dugg faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

42 Dugg agreed to a deal with prosecutors, who will recommend a six-month prison sentence. The agreement requires him to enter a 30-day inpatient drug treatment program after his prison stint along with a 30-day outpatient program.

The 28-year-old rapper, whose real name is Dion Hayes, is currently in custody at the U.S. Penitentiary Atlanta. He has remained in custody since his arrest in May 2022.

42 Dugg’s legal woes can be traced back to his March 2020 arrest for felony firearm possession. He was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to pay a $90,000 fine in November 2021.

A judge revoked 42 Dugg’s probation, sentencing him to six months in prison. The Detroit native violated his probation by getting arrested in Las Vegas and testing positive for drugs on multiple occasions.

He was supposed to report to a West Virginia prison in April 2022. He never appeared, which led to his arrest a month later.

Midwest Rapper Daiyon Heats Up The Charts with “Purple Pain” Album

Hailing out of the Midwest Daiyon, The Million Dollar Voice, returns with his highly anticipated tape titled “Purple Pain”. This project song for song and beat for beat is an instant classic with Daiyon expressing his experiences and emotions we all go through on a daily basis from life struggles, relationships, losing loved ones, and more. Daiyon delivers passion on each track expressing the hunger and aggression and how to push through these obstacles.

Daiyon’s meaning of the album is “Everything That Glitter Ain’t gold” which is commonly perceived from day to day from the outside looking in. Daiyon’s meaning of “Purple Pain” is everything we see is colorful, there is a gray or dark side to that in which we all face in life. Purple represents happiness and the things all around us that represent the bright side of life. Pain represents sadness and the darkness we all have to balance and face on a day-to-day basis.

This 13-song album is definitely a vibe and an album you can just press play, connect, and listen to each song back-to-back without skipping. You can hear and feel Daiyon’s passion as he displays and illustrates his own encounters while painting vivid pictures and lines that will either motivate you or give you a blueprint of how to balance everything out when dealing with obstacles. Daiyon opens the album with a very powerful infectious song called “Pray for Me” that will have you listening back-to-back before you can even continue listening to the rest of the album followed by tracks that set the mood and bring you further into his world.

Tracks “Ghetto Scarfaces” and “Pain On Me” co-produced by Daiyon take you back to the 80s with “Ghetto Scarfaces” containing a sample from the movie “Scarface” and back to the golden era of hip hop with  “Pain On Me” which is a remake of Tupac’s song “Pain”  that cuts deep and puts you in a trance as he paints a picture with vivid bars. “Drippn Gold 2” is a ball-out anthem for those who flex religiously and “Jealousy” exposes those who hate it.

“Purple Pain” also includes the hit video and single “Get With The Program” featuring independent heavyweight Philthy Rich and Blazo that will spearhead the project. “Get With The Program” has gained over 141k streams organically in the last year and currently sits at 218k streams on Spotify alone and is scheduled for a national terrestrial and digital radio campaign. Daiyon’s previous body of work is definitely buzz-worthy and something to familiarize yourself with as a new listener, but “Purple Pain” is one of Daiyon’s best works of art yet and is just the beginning of new masterpieces to follow and setting the tone for new fans hearing him for the first time.

“If you connected with Prince’s ”Purple Rain”, “Purple Pain” will take you to that same dimension. Classic project and 5 mic worthy for those who are in tune with the culture and get the reference.”

Was Tekashi Beat Up By His Own Security Force?

It’s looking like Tekashi69 was beaten up and pummeled by his security force. As previously reported, the people that beat him up were clearly past acquaintances. They knew him.

And then the Internet went and did its thing, and that result is his security team. Now, one of the guys has actually been identified in the vicious assault. And he is also the guy in the video that commands them to record him as he does the stomping on his alleged former client. He really gives it to him. I will say this, he got up. So, this was not a BROOKLYN mash out or anything like that. But they gave him enough of a message.

Now, the question is why? Why would they beat him up so viciously, personally, and publicly? There are a couple of theories out there, but the main one is Money. MOOLAH! It has been theorized over and over that he did not pay them and they got revenge. If you’re going to have security, it is important to pay them. They know who you are, where you live, and all the little particulars like where you go to work out. They probably know your schedule. So, it’s probably a good idea to pay these people because they’ve been inside your house and around you intimately.

Anyway, it is interesting that we are dealing with someone who has already worked with authorities. The word on the street is that the guy doing the stamping in the video did eight years in prison. I think it is likely that he could go back to prison, because we are dealing with someone who clearly works with the authorities in Tekashi 69. Also, how does this work with future security clients? I don’t think anybody is going to hire him/them, knowing in the back of their mind, he might beat the sh#t out of them!

I wish George Zimmerman owed them money.

What do you think?

Afroman Gets Sued By Ohio Sheriff’s Office

Cannabis advocate and rapper Afroman is being sued by Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

According to TMZ, this was the same agency that raided his Ohio home in August 2022 and whose officers appeared in footage and pictures in his video, “Will You Help Me Repair My Door.”

ACSO claims in the lawsuit the artist is illegally using their likeness to make money.

The footage was shot by his wife’s cell phone and security cameras in the home. The complaint is that the footage made it into the music video but did not have the permission of the deputies featured.

ACSO states by Afroman using the officers’ image and likenesses in his music videos, on merchandise, and flooding social media with it, he has invaded the deputies’ privacy, emotional distress, ridicule, humiliation, loss of reputation, and embarrassment.

Afroman commented on the lawsuit, “My house is my property, my video camera films, everything on my property as they begin, stealing my money, disconnecting plus destroying my video camera system, they became my property!”

“Criminals caught in the act, of vandalizing and stealing money. My video footage is my property,” he continued.  “I used it to identify the criminals who broke into my house and stole my money. I used it to identify criminals, who broke into my house, stole my money, and disconnected my home security system.”

This case is developing.

Questlove Launches New Book Imprint “AUWA” Books With Epic Memoir From Sly Stone

The Roots co-founder Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson is set to launch his book imprint dubbed AUWA Books.

The new company’s name takes its inspiration from Prince’s signature screech.

AUWA Books, which will publish fiction and nonfiction, aims to connect readers with inspiring new stories and help them discover lost voices. Questlove’s interests are diverse, ranging from music to a vast array of topics, and he intends to share his passion with others through his imprint.

The imprint’s first book, “Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin),” will be written by the legendary Sly Stone and is set to hit the shelves on October 17th, 2023.

Sly Stone, known for his exceptional contributions to pop music, created a new kind of music by mixing soul, funk, and rock and is responsible for many iconic anthems from the 1960s and ’70s, including “Everyday People” and “Family Affair.”

“For as long as I can remember, folks have been asking me to tell my story,” explained Sly Stone. “I wasn’t ready. I had to be in a new frame of mind to become Sylvester Stewart again to tell the true story of Sly Stone. It’s been a wild ride, and hopefully, my fans enjoy it too.”

In collaboration with Sly Stone’s manager Arlene Hirschkowitz, “Thank You” was written by Sly and Ben Greenman, who has written memoirs with other music icons such as George Clinton and Brian Wilson.

Questlove is excited to publish his books under the AUWA Books imprint, which he feels is a natural step in his writing career.

“I have been writing books for over a decade,” said Questlove, “so it seemed like a natural step to publish them too. I’m very excited about AUWA Books, from the books we have lined up to the books we haven’t discovered yet. Let’s take it to the page.”

His book “Hip-Hop Is History,” co-written with Ben Greenman, will be published in 2024 and undoubtedly become a seminal book about hip-hop’s first 50 years.

Other books expected to be published under the imprint include Drew Afualo’s inspiring first book, Josh Luber’s Building the Hype Economy, and Derrick Palmer’s urgent Handbook for the Revolution: The Essential Guide for Workplace Organizing.

Latto Does Community Service To Get Gun Charges Dropped

While she has spent a lot of time pushing her new music and rising to the top of the chart, Atlanta rapper Latto has been facing serious gun charges over the two years.

Now reports say, the bombshell has done the stand-up thing, completed service hours, and will maybe get the charges dropped.

TMZ reports Latto was nabbed by law enforcement in May 2021 for carrying a loaded firearm and carrying a concealed weapon at the LAX airport on her way to Alabama.

Latto was boarding a private flight but still was flagged by the airport’s security and police.  Officers detained her for several hours but later released her. The “Big Energy” chart-topper was able to hop on the flight and make a concert later that night.

This is the same case she rapped about on the recently dropped Mello Buckzz’s track, “Boom Pt. 2.”

“I got locked up in the airport, g###### forgot the gun,” she rapped on the track.

Her team negotiated with the prosecutor to have her enter a year-long diversion program. She started her classes in April 2022.

Since then, she is believed to have completed the required gun safety course and knocked out 120 hours of community service. In return, the firearm charge would be dropped. A hearing in April 2023 will decide if the work she did satisfies the court.

Was Tekashi 6ix9ine Set Up In Gym Beat Down?

Tekashi69 has finally gotten got. The Brooklyn-based, loudmouthed, rambunctious, rapper has been beaten up in a Florida gym. He was reportedly in the sauna when the assault happened. Some folks cheered, some folks jeered, and others wer indifferent. The guy looks so small and frail in that video that it’s hard to feel joy, because you can tell that he was beaten up by several bigger men. And, remember, this is all the result of him “snitching” on some bad Blood guys in Brooklyn. But, they say, what goes around comes around. But is this street justice or something else?

You know the Internet is going to do what it does. And, it seems like early detectives are suggesting that the rapper, who does not rap so much anymore, was actually set up!!! The truth is, it would be very difficult for 3 or so guys to randomly come upon Tekashi69 in the gym, and then everybody decides uniformly to pummel him bloody. They stomped him out!

And here in lies the rumor. The word on the street is that he was actually set up. And that those that beat him down were actually notified, or previously knew where he would be. That is very interesting, correct? These guys were brazen! One of them even said “I want to be famous” and “you should put me in this video!” The whole thing is very, very suspicious.

If you notice, when Tekashi69 begins to leave the area of the assault, he turns around and starts to come back. To me, this suggests he knew someone in the crew of assailants. They were not there to kill him, and he knew that, in my opinion. In my opinion, his demeanor was “this is fkd up.” Remember one of them said, “I’m a fan.” I think this was some sort of discipline or a “check.” I believe in order to make it and also be safe, Tekkie had to swim with some bigger sharks than the ones he pi$$ed off and it has bitten him BIG TIME.

What next?!

Lil Pump Calls T.I. A Snitch And A Bum

“Gucci Gang” rapper Gazzy “Lil Pump” Garcia decided to take direct aim at Tip “T.I.” Harris live on social media. Lil Pump’s disrespectful tirade is now spreading across the internet.

“T.I.’s a snitch. So, I don’t ever want to see him pull up with none of them stupid-ass paperworks and s###. T.I., we know you’re a snitch. You even brought the papers to your stupid-ass comedy show that nobody f###### goes to. You’re a bum,” expressed Lil Pump.

The 22-year-old supporter of MAGA leader Donald Trump also said, “[T.I.,] you’re a f###### rat. You’re a straight rat. You’re a snitch. Nobody respects you in the rap game.”

T.I. has faced accusations of snitching throughout his entertainment career. Many people speculated that The Family Hustle reality show star cooperated with law enforcement to secure lessened sentences in several criminal cases.

Despite appearing in a police-backed Crime Stoppers commerical, T.I. repeatedly denied being an informant. Recently, the Atlanta-based rapper got into a public back-and-forth with Boosie Badazz after footage of T.I. telling a hyperbolic story about pinning a drug charge on his deceased cousin resurfaced.

As far as Lil Pump, it is not exactly clear why the Florida native chose to blast T.I. when he did. The Lil Pump 2 album dropped on March 17. 2019’s Harverd Dropout only spent seven weeks on the Billboard 200 chart. Music critics and fans panned that Lil Pump project.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Injuries Revealed By Lawyer After Gym Beatdown – It’s Pretty Bad

On Tuesday, rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, also known as Daniel Hernandez, was rushed to a South Florida hospital after being brutally assaulted by a group of men at an LA Fitness gym.

In a conversation with Newsweek, his attorney Lance Lazzaro revealed that 6ix9ine suffered extensive injuries, including a blood clot in his eye and multiple fractured ribs.

The 26-year-old musician was in the sauna when the unprovoked attack occurred, involving three to four assailants.

Upon hearing the disturbance, gym staff alerted the manager, who quickly called for emergency assistance. The attackers left the scene as staff members responded to the situation.

A video posted on Twitter shows a man beating him while saying “this is they supposed to be treating your b#### ass,” before delivering a thunderous stomp to his ribcage and declaring “take a picture I want to be famous.”

Another video shows a bloodied 6ix9ine exiting the gym and stating, “Y’all n****s jumped me.”

Additional social media footage captures the assault taking place, with one video even identifying the face of an attacker.

The incident comes shortly after the rapper was reportedly ejected from Miami’s LoanDepot Park for getting drunk and creating a disturbance during the World Baseball Classic.

Tekashi 6ix9ine was granted early release from prison in April 2020 after serving a shortened two-year sentence for racketeering, drug trafficking, and firearms offenses.

He received this reduced sentence after agreeing to testify against fellow Nine Trey Gangsters members.

While the connection between the attack and his past legal issues remains uncertain, attorney Lance Lazzaro informed TMZ that he plans to secure protection for his client.

Logic Covers Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s “Weed Song”

It seems Logic may have been serious about doing a project featuring covers of Hip Hop songs from the 1990s/2000s. After remaking “It Was a Good Day” by Ice Cube, the DMV rapper tackled a tune by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.

A video for Logic’s rendition of Bone Thug’s “Weed Song” hit YouTube on Tuesday. The original version of the marijuana-praising track lives on 2000’s BTNHResurrection studio album and 2004’s Greatest Hits compilation.

The visuals for Logic’s “Weed Song” opens with a  steady-cam shot of the former Def Jam recording artist walking through a mansion as he briefly interacts with other people in the house. He eventually ends up in front of a green screen before he starts rapping.

Some critics, including podcaster Joe Budden, blasted Logic for redoing Ice Cube’s “It Was a Good Day” from 1993. While facing social media backlash for covering Cube’s classic song, Logic responded to a fan suggesting he should do a full-length project of cover songs.

“It’s funny you should say that because I thought about doing that. Wouldn’t that be cool? Everybody’s all p##### off at me because I did a f###### Ice Cube cover,” stated Logic in a TikTok video. “Meanwhile, I texted Ice Cube and he’s like, ‘Man, keep on doing you, brother.’ Like, who gives a f###? Who gives a f###?”

The College Park album creator also said, “You’re right. I should do a whole f###### album, and just do a whole album of f###### hard-ass ’90s records and call it Logic Greatest Hits, and get all them paid and publishing, and take care of all the legends and the GOATs and the greats from the ’90s. And f###### do a covers album. Who gives a f###?”

J. Cole Talks ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive’ Not Winning A Grammy Award

Many J. Cole fans consider 2014 Forest Hills Drive the Roc Nation emcee’s best studio album. That 2014 project debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart and earned a Best Rap Album nomination at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.

J. Cole’s critically-acclaimed 2014 Forest Hills Drive did not win Best Rap Album in 2016. To Pimp a Butterfly by Top Dawg Entertainment-backed rapper Kendrick Lamar took home the Grammy that year.

In fact, J. Cole would not win his first Grammy Award until 2020. The Dreamville Records founder received a Best Rap Song golden gramophone for his contribution to 21 Savage’s “A Lot” single.

J. Cole Received 16 Grammy Nominations During His Career

ESPN’s Lead by Example With Bob Myers conducted an interview with J. Cole which included the 38-year-old recording artist discussing the Grammy Awards. He admitted his desire to win a Grammy diminished over time.

“It was so important to me. So had I won it early on, I think it would have validated all those feelings I had for it. Maybe it would have felt like a championship at that point, I’m not sure. The fact that it didn’t happen and then it didn’t happen and then it didn’t happen, it allowed me to even reflect,” said Cole.

The 16-time Grammy nominee added, “After more time to sit with myself, it becomes clear that it’s like, ‘Wait a minute. Those things weren’t for you.’ Then, when it actually came, it was almost like, ‘I’m not in love with this thing anymore.’ Not to mention, I won a Grammy with somebody else. It was me as a feature on somebody’s song. It ain’t for nothing I did.”

2014 Forest Hills Drive Is Cole’s Championship Ring

While J. Cole now appears to be ambivalent about winning a Grammy Award, the St. John’s University graduate does have a positive view of his own work. 2014 Forest Hills Drive came up during his conversation with Golden State Warriors executive Bob Myers.

“That’s nowhere close to a championship to me, the Grammy. But there was an album that felt like a championship,” stated Cole. “The making of this album I got called Forest Hills Drive, and the releasing of it and the tour. That was a championship run in a way I would look at how the [Chicago] Bulls look at The Last Dance or how [the Golden State Warriors] look at winning a championship.”

The rapper/producer continued, “That was the feeling. Guess what? That album didn’t win a Grammy. A Grammy didn’t increase my enjoyment or decrease my enjoyment. If that album had won a Grammy, it wouldn’t have changed my experience. The fact that it didn’t win didn’t change my experience. That was what a championship felt like to me.”

Joe Budden On Slaughterhouse Breakup: Give Me The Blame… I Ruined Everything

At one point, Slaughterhouse seemed destined to be one of the most dominant supergroups in Hip Hop history. However, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, and Royce da 5’9″ eventually parted ways after just two albums.

Joe Budden sat down with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN for an upcoming episode of the Drink Champs podcast. A preview of the show made its way to social media. In the clip, Budden discusses Slaughterhouse’s breakup.

“Come on, give me the blame. I’ll take it. I ruined everything. Everything that you loved, I ruined that s###,” expressed Joe Budden. The retired rapper added, “Even now, ten years long of just stories and talk, I did it. It was me.”

It is not clear if Joe Budden was being sincere or sarcastic, but his latest statements about Slaughterhouse come after the emcee-turned-podcaster had a public falling out with Royce da 5’9″ and Joell Ortiz on Instagram Live last year.

The online argument between the former groupmates seemingly stemmed from Royce da 5’9″ and Joell Ortiz releasing the Rise & Fall of Slaughterhouse in 2022. That album did not include contributions by Joe Budden or Crooked I.

Slaughterhouse released two projects – 2009’s Slaughterhouse album and 2011’s Slaughterhouse EP – via E1 Music. 2012’s Welcome to: Our House studio LP came out on Eminem’s Shady Records. The foursome came together in 2008 before officially disbanding in 2018.
