Rick Ross Shares Close-Up Video Of Face After Being Accused Of Hiding Injuries From Vancouver Brawl

Rick Ross is flaunting his unmarked face after facing accusations that he was hiding his eyes to mask any injuries sustained in the brawl in Vancouver at the weekend.

The MMG honcho appeared to take a blow to the face during the violent altercation. Although he posted a selfie after the brawl, apparently showing he escaped injury, it only made matters worse as Ross covered one eye with a strategically placed drinking glass.

Tia Kemp, the mother of Rozay’s eldest son had a field day following the incident, using it as another excuse to go in on her ex. She shared Ross’ selfie and accused him of hiding his eyes.

However, on Tuesday evening (July 2), Rick Ross decided to drop an extreme close-up of his face to silence the doubters.

“My eye?” he said incredulously while peering into the camera and laughing hysterically.

No doubt Tia Kemp will have something to say about Rick Ross’ dropping receipts. Earlier on Tuesday the reality TV star responded to Ross calling her “granny” on social media.

“Listen here ass-whooping Willie,” Kemp said in an Instagram video. “You better m############ chill. Boy, I don’t know who the f### you calling a f###### granny when you have m############ babies while yo child is having babies.”

On Sunday, Rick Ross and his crew were ambushed by Drake fans during a festival in Vancouver. Chaos erupted after the DJ played Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” during the concert

Bronny James Reveals Decision To Honor Juice WRLD Via His Jersey Number For L.A. Lakers

Bronny James will honor the legacy of late r#### Juice WRLD in his debut NBA season playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.

On Tuesday (July 2), James participated in his inaugural press conference for the franchise alongside his fellow draftee Dalton Knecht. During the presser, James briefly explained his thought process behind picking his jersey number, revealing how the number nine reflects his commitment to keeping the memory of the deceased Chicago rapper alive.

”Juice [WRLD] has just been a big part of me keeping calm through some of the situations I have been through,” James said. “So you know, just paying homage to him especially because he passed is a really important thing for me.

Chicago rapper and Juice WRLD affiliate G Herbo showed his support for Bronny’s tribute by adding a strong arm emoji in the comments section of the original video post.

Prior to the press conference, James and his father LeBron dropped a few Easter egg hints to the meaning of the number he picked for his jersey. In an interview James did amid the NBA Draft Combine, he revealed that Future, and of course Juice WRLD were mainstays on his workout playlists.

Additionally, shortly after James was drafted by the Lakers with the 55th pick in the second round of the draft, LeBron shared a post soundtracked by Juice WRLD’s#### song “Lucid Dreams” featuring a rendering of the design for his son’s jersey along with a photo of Bronny donning his uniform.

James isn’t the only active NBA player who has publicly co-signed the late rapper while highlighting their admiration for his music and influence. Stars such as Karl-Anthony Towns, and Jayson Tatum have shared their love for his hits, with LeBron often citing Juice WRLD as one of his favorite artists.

Juice WRLD’s introspective lyrics and melodic style resonated with athletes, becoming a staple on pre-game playlists and in personal tributes. Tragically, Juice WRLD passed away in December 2019 after suffering a seizure at Chicago’s Midway Airport, reportedly caused by an accidental overdose of oxycodone and codeine, just days after his 21st birthday.

ScHoolboy Q Praises Lupe Fiasco’s New Album “Samurai”

ScHoolboy Q is giving Lupe Fiasco his flowers while he can still smell them following a recent interaction with a fan on Twitter.

ScHoolboy Q recently took to Twitter to express his admiration for Lupe Fiasco’s new album, Samurai in response to a fan’s query on his opinion of the LP. In addition to highlighting what he loved about the record, ScHoolboy Q briefly detailed what he feels makes Lupe a superior MC, in a very literal way.

“Bro tone and pen is inspiring dawg. I love cHoppy raps & awkward sounds but Lupe got tHis super power wit words wHere He writes tHe perfect essay iono. Album dope,” ScHoolboy Q tweeted.

In a reply to ScHoolboy Q’s tweet, Lupe wrote, “tHanx for tHe love my g…” in a tweet stamped with golf emojis.

As if the TDE rapper’s high praises of the project weren’t enough, Lupe further raised the bar by revealing an astonishing factoid about the process of producing the complex and dense album in a follow-up tweet.

ScHoolboy Q and Lupe Fiasco have long shown mutual respect for each other’s craft, though their musical styles are notably different. While ScHoolboy Q’s gritty, street-wise bars capture the essence of L.A.’s gang culture, Lupe Fiasco is celebrated for his intellectual and socially conscious approach to hip-hop.

Their paths crossed in 2015 when they collaborated on the track “No Scratches,” which blended Q’s distinctive delivery with Lupe’s reflective and poetic verses. Beyond their musical collaborations, both artists have frequently interacted on social media, exchanging words of encouragement and praise, showcasing a genuine camaraderie and mutual admiration for each other’s work.

Lupe Fiasco’s discography is a testament to his evolution as an artist and his ability to push the boundaries of hip-hop. From his critically acclaimed debut album, Food & Liquor, which featured fan-favorite tracks such as “Kick, Push” and “Daydreamin’,” to his sharp, lyrical conceptual work Tetsuo & Youth, Lupe has consistently challenged norms within Hip-Hop and rap with his intricate storytelling and innovative production.

It’s no wonder ScHoolboy Q is as hype as he is about the project, considering he is one of the top rap albums curators of 2024, having already correctly called Vince Staples’ recent Dark Times LP as a hit weeks before its release.

Rick Ross’ Ex Drops Bizarre Video Responding To Rapper’s “Granny” Diss

Tia Kemp, the mother of Rick Ross’ eldest son, trolled the 48-year-old rapper for calling her “granny” on social media. Kemp mocked Ross after he was involved in a physical altercation with Drake supporters in Vancouver.

“Listen here ass-whooping Willie,” Kemp said in an Instagram video. “You better m############ chill. Boy, I don’t know who the f### you calling a f###### granny when you have m############ babies while yo child is having babies.”

She continued, “Boy, every baby you been having is aunties and uncles by the time they days old. They can’t even enjoy being a f###### newborn. Please tighten up with that granny s###. You got me f##### up, b####! I am a grandmother, but b####, you are a pawpaw who just got the paws put on him!”

Kemp, who has repeatedly clashed with Ross on social media, captured the attention of Drake on Monday (July 1). Kemp commented on Drake’s Instagram post and received a positive response from the Canadian star.

“My goat,” Drake wrote to her.

Ross reacted to the interaction in an Instagram comment.

“P### vs. granny,” Ross wrote.

Ross and Drake have been beefing for months. The former collaborators exchanged diss tracks, but their feud was largely overshadowed by Drake’s heated battle with Kendrick Lamar.

Rozay’s issues with Drake returned to the forefront on Sunday (June 30). Ross and his team were attacked for playing K. Dot’s Drake diss “Not Like Us” at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver. Footage of the incident surfaced online. Video showed someone throwing a punch at Ross.

Ross ignored the fight when he reflected on the festival in an Instagram Stories post.

“Vancouver it was fun, till next time,” he wrote.

A rep for Ross said he and his team “are all well” when asked about the scuffle.

CVNNON Sees the World Through a Different Lens in 2024

Becoming the best version of yourself demands a unique blend of humility, discipline, vision, and courage. This journey of personal evolution acts as a bridge, distinguishing the unimaginable from the ordinary. Having faith in oneself while navigating life’s constant changes is an almost surreal experience.

Most people often do not push past the initial threshold of discomfort; they let uneasy feelings deter them from reaching their perceived life goals.

In contrast, exceptional individuals handle uncertainty, doubt, and hardship in a manner that sets them apart. They seem to possess an additional mental capacity that fuels their extraordinary drive and understanding of achieving their goals.

Recording artist and entrepreneur CVNNON exemplifies resilience, having emerged from the challenging environment of Detroit’s streets. His resilience is almost palpable, with a toughness akin to rhinoceros skin. Surviving in such a tough environment necessitates unique survival instincts and skills to make it through each day.

CVNNON is a gifted storyteller who captures the essence of Generation Z’s Hip-Hop culture, bringing it to life through his narratives.

CVNNON’s music captures the true spirit of Hip-Hop with its inventive, genuine, and bold energy. Growing up in the harsh environment of Detroit, CVNNON has faced both the deepest lows and the most uplifting highs of life. His personal growth resembles a rose that thrives despite emerging from concrete. His musical repertoire is a diverse array of auditory excellence.

His most recent project, an EP titled ‘The Megalodon’, achieved notable underground digital success. Released through a collaborative distribution deal with MUSICHYPEBEAST/EMPIRE, ‘The Megalodon’ has experienced significant growth on platforms like Pandora and YouTube Music over the last six months.

CVNNON’s forthcoming musical endeavor will be exclusively distributed via Nebula. Founded by Alessandro De Luca, Fuad Hawit, and Startup Incubators, Nebula is heralded as “a groundbreaking platform allowing fans to own rights to royalty payouts for any song available in its marketplace.”

This platform enables fans to invest in music featured on Nebula and earn royalties. The royalties are distributed in the form of tokens, which denote a specific percentage ownership of each song.

CVNNON’s artistic talent captured the interest of Jonathan P-Wright, who serves as a Senior A&R at Nebula and also holds the position of CVO at RADIOPUSHERS. Jonathan P-Wright was immediately struck by the unique blend of freedom, audacity, and exceptional sound in CVNNON’s music. He promptly reached out to Jenna Kadhum, the President of A&R at Nebula, to express his strong endorsement for bringing CVNNON’s project into their fold.

Jenna Kadhum is hailed as one of the most esteemed and influential music executives in the industry. She approved the release of the upcoming track for a July debut. This decision allows fans, friends, and listeners worldwide to potentially witness and own a piece of music history, embodying Nebula’s ethos as ‘The New Music Economy.’

Eminem Rehashes Melle Mel Controversy With Big Sean & Babytron-Featured “Tobey”

Eminem has released a new single called “Tobey” featuring Big Sean and Babytron. The track serves as the second single from Em’s forthcoming set, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), and follow-up to “Houdini.” Contrary to “Houdini,” the latest offering from the project is less kinetic and focuses more on bars than beats.

For Eminem’s verse, he revisits the 2023 controversy involving Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five member Melle Mel.

“Yet here I sit on your list though at five (Hm), which still was fine/But just know inside, to me, that s###’s hilarious, so when I (Haha)/Get dissed though and by a pioneer/Who was one of the reasons why I am here/They tell me I should just let that s### go and slide (Why?)/’Melle Mel shouldn’t get no reply’ (Why?) ‘That man is a legend,’ b####, so am I (Haha, yeah).”

The feud between Melle Mel and Eminem escalated last year, when Em responded to Melle Mel’s previous comments in which he suggested that Slim Shady’s success was largely due to his race. In a scathing verse on the track “Realest” featuring Ez Mil, Eminem addressed these claims head-on, stating that while his skin color has been a topic of discussion, it hasn’t guaranteed his success. He also took a direct jab at Melle Mel, referring to him as a “juice head” whose “brain is half destroyed” due to steroid use.

Melle Mel didn’t take the comments lightly and fired back with his own diss track, but it was met with mixed reviews. Critics and fans alike felt that Melle Mel’s response lacked the punch and creativity needed to effectively counter Eminem’s sharp lyrics. The back-and-forth not only reignited discussions about race and recognition Hip-Hop but also highlighted the generational divide within the genre.

Melle Mel ultimately expressed regret over dissing Eminem. As he wrote in a statement last August, “In light of the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop, my original intention was to contribute an engaging and enjoyable endeavor to enrich the cultural landscape. Regrettably, my response fell short in its execution, and I accept full responsibility for the misjudgment. I acknowledge that my perspective was ill-conceived and I am prepared to take ownership of this oversight.”

Nick Cannon Reveals What Happens To His Balls Insurance Money If “Something Goes Wrong”

Nick Cannon’s kids will potentially benefit from a $10 million insurance policy on his balls. The multihyphenate explained why he insured his testicles in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

“I had to insure my most valuable assets,” Cannon said. “You know what we doing. We know how to make noise out here.”

He continued, “You hear about all these different celebrities insuring their legs, so I was like, ‘Hey, well, I got to insure my most valuable body part.’ Shout out to Dr. Squatch because they understand the importance of a well taken care of manhood. It’s just making sure nothing goes wrong. ‘Cause if something goes wrong, then my kids will divide that up and take it and run with it.”

Cannon partnered with Dr. Squatch, a natural men’s soap and personal care company, for the bizarre insurance policy.

“Haters say it’s time for me to stop having kids and put this super sperm to rest, but I’m doubling down on these valuable balls and my future kids,” Cannon said in June. “Shout out to Dr. Squatch for giving my balls the credit they deserve and hooking me up with the protection I need to keep this family tree rolling.”

Cannon is the father of 12 kids. Bri Tiesi, the mother of his son Legendary, also discussed the insurance policy with Entertainment Tonight.

“I think Nick is just one of those people that loves to mess with people,” she said. “And I think he’ll do anything for shock value. It’s entertaining.”

Tiesi is one of six women who have children with Cannon. He shares two children with Mariah Carey, three with Brittany Bell, three with Abby De La Rosa, two with Alyssa Scott, one with LaNisha Cole and one with Tiesi. Cannon and Scott’s son Zen passed away in 2021.

Sonny Digital Denies Sexism Factored Into His Critique Of Hook’s Viral Performance

Sonny Digital is pushing back after an exchange with an up-and-coming female artist upset some of his followers.

Digital’s dust up occurred after he dealt a harsh critique of rapper Hook’s recent viral live performance. In particular, the “Racks On Racks” producer’s comments targeted Hook’s choice to opt for an avant garde approach and delivery.

”Just because something is different doesn’t mean it’s dope,” Digital wrote initially in a tweet reacting to the performance […] “It literally has nothing to do with being a ‘woman’ this s### is just literally wack. Male or female that s### ain’t it.”

Though Digital made the remarks weeks ago, Hook caught wind of them and did not hold back in a retort of her own: ”Another p###. that can s###.”

In a pair of follow-up tweets, Hook unloaded on Sonny Digital after he explained that he went back through her catalog and broke down why he prefers her older material. Hook met the backhanded compliment with frustration and deduced Digital’s legacy was the equivalent of a one hit wonder, citing his collaborations with artists such as Lil Uzi Vert as the sole reason he is still relevant at this point.

Sonny Digital appeared to be triggered by Hook’s claim he wasn’t on her level and blasted her in yet another lengthy tweet.

“You bring me up because I’m a producer, but you start talking about all the other producers you worked with,” he wrote. “dont target me out….unless you want a direct response….It’s no double standard in this s###, if you s### fire it’s gonna cut thru if it’s ITS NOT GONNA CUT thru.

“Stop blaming everyone and everything else for the success you haven’t got yet. And you are right I cannot be compared to the producers you work with because CLEARLY WE ARE NOT THE SAME….but I definitely respect them.”

Sonny Digital concluded by addressing Hook’s dig that he’s mainly known for his work with other major artists.

“And the one Uzi song you claim you know me for is probably bigger than your whole career honestly….Pipe down and get back in the studio, PROVE ME WRONG. Please ,” he wrote.

As the exchange continued, fans and followers of both rappers chimed in the thread, causing a heated debate to ensue. Hook allegedly ended up blocking Sonny Digital after he continued to give his two cents on the matter. Even though the interaction appeared to cause Hook some distress, it brought some awareness to her live performance. Several of the comments on the YouTube channel hosting the video reference the conversation as the reason they watched the performance.

West Coast rapper Hook, formerly known as ILY Hook, has made waves in the Southern California music scene due to her distinctive style and energetic delivery. She’s garnered attention for her popular collaborations with producer Nedarb, particularly on tracks such as “Everywhere” and “Runnin It Up,” which blend hard-hitting beats with her versatile, dynamic flows. However, as of late, Hook has made a major pivot toward a much edgier fringe sonic pocket, which is both polarizing her audience and listeners who are just discovering her music.

Check out the tweets above along with video from Hook’s recent performance below.

EXCLUSIVE: Priscilla Rainey Targets Game & His Kids’ School District To Get $7 Million Judgment

Priscilla Rainey, a contestant on The Game’s VH1 reality show She’s Got Game, stepped up her efforts to collect a $7 million judgment from the rapper. According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Rainey subpoenaed his kids’ school district for proof of residence, attendance records and more on Monday (July 1).

Rainey sued The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, for sexual battery in 2015. She accused The Game of groping her.

“In May 2015, while the show was filming in the Chicago area, Taylor took Rainey on an off-camera date to Adrianna’s Sportsbar in Markham, Illinois,” her lawsuit explained. “Taylor sexually battered Rainey that night, including by reaching his hand inside her dress to rub her bare v##### and buttocks in front of a crowded room of onlookers.”

The Game initially ignored Rainey’s lawsuit. A jury found him liable for sexual battery, awarding roughly $7 million to Rainey in 2016. The Game claimed he would never pay Rainey.

“Don’t be fooled by these accusations or the dollar amount in the headlines cause I put that on my favorite aunties poodle this broad ain’t gettin s###!” he wrote on Instagram. “Every girl on that show will tell u I never touched this chick or ever desired to be anywhere near her. She got kicked off the show & as a result she filed this lame lawsuit which was probably her intentions before the show was ever even started. She was begging for my attention the entire time we shot the show & was given the ultimate Major League Baseball CURVE ball so that upset her & made her lil wee wee hard so she did what all chicks like her do when life gives them no other options…. They sue you!”

The Game sought a new trial. An appeals court rejected his bid in 2019.

“Taylor did not take the litigation seriously,” Judge TK Sykes wrote. “He evaded process, trolled Rainey on social media, dodged a settlement conference, and did not bother to show up at trial. His attorney asked for a continuance, but the judge denied that request, dismissing Taylor’s proffered excuse as an elaborate ruse.”

Rainey struggled to obtain her $7 million award from The Game, resulting in a second lawsuit. She claimed he was hiding his assets. A court sided with her in 2023.

Lil Mama Blames Nicki Minaj For Inspiring Generation Of “Musical Prostitutes”

Lil Mama condemned Nicki Minaj and other female rappers for sexualizing themselves. Lil Mama called out Nicki after Dee-1 expressed his disappointment with the abundance of “sex rap” at the 2024 BET Awards.

“We can do better as a ‘culture’ @bet + @betawards,” Dee-1 wrote on Instagram. “I mean this sincerely … Deep down, most executives, fans, and artists know we can do better. We just gotta have the courage to do it.”

Lil Mama commented, “Then gave Nicki an award for leading this pack. Corporate ‘BARS’ be going over our head. They laughing at us for sure!”

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Dee-1 (@dee1music)

A fan said Lil Kim should get the credit – or blame – for the rise of women rapping sexually suggestive lyrics. Lil Mama pushed back by saying Nicki directly paved the way for Ice Spice, Sexyy Red and more.

“These young women are not influenced by Kim. Nicki is influenced by Kim,” Lil Mama wrote. “These women are 23. What major musical prostitutes do you remember from the last 15 years. Who do you think they watched corporate give a platform and flowers for slitting out. Be forreal. Like I said they are laughing at us and the award was a ‘thanks to you, now we have 7,8, 9 of em.’”

The same fan said “selling sex” was the only option for women to succeed as rappers in the current landscape. Lil Mama reflected on the state of rap and pictured an awakening of her peers.

“I agree there [were] definitely option[s] in style and content [in the past],” she wrote. “It’s all love, God Is the Greatest and these women are gonna wake up and realize that they are worth more than any price tag. Sometimes we can’t see ourselves. We are just living… so I can [understand] how this can happen and feel normal.”

Waka Flocka Tries To Kick Joe Biden Supporters Out Of His Concert

Waka Flocka Flame stirred up controversy at his concert on Monday (July 1), ordering fans who support President Joe Biden to leave the venue. During the event, the rapper, who has publicly endorsed Trump, abruptly and unexpectedly interrupted his performance to address the audience.

“All Joe Biden voters, get out of my concert,” he demanded during his appearance at Club Sky in Salt Lake City, Utah. The unexpected directive was met with mixed reactions from the crowd—until he launched into his hit “It’s A Party,” which he dedicated to Trump.

Waka Flocka Flame first endorsed Donald Trump in October 2023 via Twitter (X), expressing his support for the former president despite previous criticisms.

Waka Flocka Flame’s ultimatum follows Biden’s widely criticized debate performance against Donald Trump on June 27. A new CNN poll indicated a troubling shift for President Joe Biden, 82, who was widely criticized over his debate performance with his 78-year-old rival.

CNN’s post-debate polling indicates a stark drop in voter confidence.

Pre-debate, 35 percent of voters believed Biden had the mental fitness for the presidency, which has since fallen to 27 percent. Additionally, only 28 percent now think he should run for president, down from 37 percent pre-debate.

Waka Flocka Flame is far from the only rapper who has endorsed President Donald Trump. While he stopped short of endorsing Trump, Snoop Dogg said he has “nothing but love” for the former POTUS.

Artists like Kanye West, Lil Pump, Sexyy Redd, Sheff G, Sleepy Hallow, OT7 Quanny, Sada Baby, Icewear Vezzo and Kodak Black have formally endorsed former President Trump (although Sexyy Red later walked it back).

Meanwhile, Amber Rose recently debuted a new video with “Mayor of MAGAville” rapper Forgiato Blow to remake Vanilla Ice’s#### song “Ice Ice Baby” into “Trump Trump Baby.”

Rick Ross & Drake Warned To Squash Beef Before It Ends Like Tupac Shakur Vs. Biggie

Marlon Wayans shared his reaction to Rick Ross and his crew getting jumped in Canada amid his Drake beef, urging rappers to stop the violence before it goes the same way as the Tupac vs. Biggie feud.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by AllHipHop (@allhiphopcom)

While Ross appeared to take a blow to the face, sparking the chaos, he insisted Vancouver “was fun.”

On Monday (July 1), the comic replied to an Instagram post featuring the brutal beatdown. He penned an open letter to Hip-Hop and warned things could get out of hand, citing the infamous beef between Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G.

“It’s all fun and games until people start getting hurt. Remember this, HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF!” Wayans began. “I knew Tupac, I knew Biggie. I partyed with them, hung out with them, saw them both 20 minutes before they got shot. Violence is real. Everyone can be touched. Don’t entertain the devil.”

Marlon Wayans Tells Rick Ross, Drake & Others “Walk Away”

Directing his remarks superficially to the feuding rappers, Wayans implored them to take a leaf out of J. Cole’s book after he made the controversial decision to back out of the beef and apologize to Lamar. He named Drake, Rick Ross, K. Dot and The Game, professing love for all of them. “I say to all my brothers there’s enough for everyone to eat. Y’all all need to what [J. Cole] did. Walk away from the b#######.”

Wayans concluded, “Life is short… even shorter if you spend your energy on breaking each other down instead of building each other up. Hate seeing any of our kings at war. We are too few. STOP!”

Rah Digga also shared her reaction on the same post, questioning why anybody would play the incendiary “Not Like Us” in Canada amid the Drake beef.

“I’m imagining a DJ throwing on Hit Em Up at The Tunnel circa 95,” she wrote. “Wouldn’t/shouldn’t/COULDN’T HAPPEN. This just wasn’t smart.”

Bianca Censori Denies “Abhorrent” Allegations In Lawsuit From Former Kanye West Employee

Kanye West’s wife, Bianca Censori, is denying allegations she sent p### to Yeezy employees, including minors, following a new lawsuit

The suit claimed staff were subjected to “forced labor and cruel inhuman, or degrading treatment” during their time working for the company. Kanye West and Bianca Censori are both named as defendants. In the lawsuit. Former Yeezy chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, is also listed as a defendant.

On Monday (July 1), Yiannopoulos issued a statement on behalf of Censori via X (Twitter).

“I’ve been authorized by Bianca to stress that any allegation that she showed or caused to be shown any pornographic material to minors is offensive, disgusting, abhorrent and categorically and wholly false,” he began.

According to the filing, West hired a team that included underage teens for the launch of his YZYVSN streaming service app. He insisted they work “insanely long hours” and were sometimes referred to as “slaves,” or “new slaves.” In addition, white managers were accused of using harassing language toward minorities.

However, in his statement, Yiannopoulos claimed the person who filed the lawsuit suit was never employed by Yeezy.

“The tragic, desperate, attention-seeking wannabe Yeezy staffer behind this egregious and repulsive pack of lies, Shemar DaCosta, has never had any kind of access to Ye, his family, or Yeezy, or any information pertinent to the company, and he never will,” he added.

Yiannopoulos also accused DaCosta of “histrionic and absurd race-baiting.” He said DaCosta’s claim he worked with Kanye West is “the most tragic, obvious, thirsty lie imaginable.”

USHER Breaks Silence On BET Awards Tribute After Women-Led Tribute Faced Backlash

USHER received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday following a music tribute performed predominantly by women.

However, the nearly 17-minute-long performance received mixed reviews, with some claiming BET completely missed the mark. Many questioned why organizers opted for a female-dominated segment, citing multiple male singers who fit the bill.

Childish Gambino opened the tribute, followed by Keke Palmer, Summer Walker, Coco Jones, Marsha Ambrosius, Chloe, Tinashe, Teyana Taylor, Victoria Monét and Latto. Others, however, thought the controversial choice was ultimately a fitting tribute and was reflective of the current state of R&B.

USHER – 2024 BET Awards Tribute

USHER remained silent on the topic until Monday evening (July 1). Despite the criticism, the iconic singer loved the tribute. He took to X (Twitter), sharing his appreciation for all the artists.

“My tribute was amazing mannn,” USHER wrote. “Thank U to each and every one involved in the making of this moment.”

In a follow-up post on his Instagram Story, USHER doubled down on his support, thanking BET and giving the “tremendously talented” tribute performers their flowers.

“Y’all did the DAMN thing,” he added. “It was so amazing to witness each of your talents through the eyes of my own journey…thank U”

One of the highlights of the performance was Teyana Taylor and Victoria Monét dance-heavy rendition of “Bad Girl.” Sharing a clip of their duet on Instagram, Taylor revealed they only had 48 hours to pull it off.

“We don’t regret one moment of it knowing that we had an assignment that needed to be OVERstood for one of the GOATS,” she explained. “Believe me when I tell you we’d do it all over again & wouldn’t change a thing!”

Cardi B Vows To “Never Turn Republican” After Critic Claims Rapper “Betrayed Our Country”

Cardi B has never shied away from sharing her political opinion, and despite refusing to back either President Joe Biden or Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race, her stance on the Republican party is clear.

On Monday (July 1), a snippet of a new Cardi B song circulated online, prompting one social media user to make a bizarre claim. “She may have betrayed our country and turned Republican but at least she found a nice tune,” they wrote on X (Twitter).

The post caught the NYC rapper’s attention, and she swiftly rejected the idea. “I will never turn republican lol,” Cardi replied.

Despite backing Bernie Sanders and later Joe Biden during the 2020 election, Cardi B has become disillusioned with the political system.

During a Rolling Stone interview in May, she said Biden’s presidency left her with “layers and layers of disappointment.” However, Trump doesn’t get her vote either.  “I don’t f### with both of y’all n#####,” she said of Biden and Trump.

“I feel like people got betrayed,” she said of Biden’s presidency. “It’s just like, damn, y’all not caring about nobody. Then, it really gets me upset that there is solutions to it. There is a solution. I know there’s a solution because you’re spending billions of dollars on any f###### thing.”

Meanwhile, Ice-T also recently revealed he wasn’t a fan of either candidate. He branded 34-time convicted felon Trump the world’s “biggest con artist,” and said he has “more criminal charges than anyone I grew up with.”  He also was concerned over Biden’s age, joking that “he could sneeze and die at any minute.”

Contrary to Cardi B, Amber Rose has offered her full-throated support for Republican candidate Trump. Her endorsement comes despite previously calling him an “idiot” and a “sexual predator.”

Keith Lee Slams BET’s “Unprofessional” Production After Viral Mishap With Taraji P. Henson

Keith Lee is speaking out following his viral mishap with Taraji P. Henson at the 2024 BET Awards.

The TikTok food critic was sitting with his wife in the front row at the awards ceremony on Sunday (June 29) when three-time host Henson confused him with another social media influencer. The clip was widely circulated online, with Henson catching heat over the faux pas.

However, Keith Lee said Henson was not to blame and faulted BET for rushing the segment. Lee took to TikTok on Monday evening (July 1) to clarify his thoughts on the situation.

“First and foremost, I want to start by saying I am not upset at Taraji P. Henson by any stretch of the imagination. In my opinion, she smoked it last night,” he explained. “I don’t think for one second Taraji had any ill will or any ill intentions behind the situation. The situation happened the way it did. It is what it is.”

He continued, “The entire segment on the production side felt extremely rushed. Not only did it feel rushed, it did not feel intentional. It did not feel purposeful.”

After adding that he appreciated the opportunity to attend the BET Awards, Lee insisted he and his wife would have been “grateful to just sit there and enjoy the show.”

Keith Lee Claims BET Gave Henson “No Direction”

Furthermore, Lee slammed BET for the hurried production and said he and his wife enjoyed the show.

“I’ve always spoken about my social anxiety, and for me just to get out and be in that moment was more than enough for me. So to take me and my wife out of our seats, put us in different seats, give Taraji no direction to who we are and what we do felt extremely unprepared and unprofessional to me,” Lee stated.

“The reason I did this had nothing to do with Taraji P Henson,“ Lee said in the new video. “I whole-heartedly believe that wasn’t my rose.”

Angela Simmons Pleads For Forgiveness In Statement Apologizing For Wearing Gun-Shaped Purse

Angela Simmons has issued a lengthy statement apologizing and asking for forgiveness after she initially defended carrying a bedazzled gun-shaped purse to the 2024 BET Awards.

Late on Monday evening (July 1), Simmons took to her Instagram Story with a heartfelt apology. She admitted she “made a poor decision in using it as an accessory to amplify my beauty.” Simmons added that it was “inappropriate and insensitive, especially given my personal and community experiences with gun violence.”

Simmons also acknowledged how the incident affected those impacted by gun violence. “For my entire life, I have always exemplified peace, unification, and the resolution of gun violence in America. I have personally lost my partner, the father of my child, to gun violence, and I have witnessed its devastating impact on my community in Southeast Queens,” she added.

She highlighted her work with “Erica Ford, a leading gun violence activist,” and that of her own organization, insisting she has “always been about making peace a lifestyle.” Calling gun violence “a disease,” she recognized the specific impact it has among young people and Black men.

Eddie Murphy Shares Threesome Regret With Legendary Actor

In a wild scenario that even Eddie Murphy couldn’t script, the comedy legend shared one of his biggest life regrets—turning down an invitation to join a threesome after a notorious late-night party.

The 63-year-old has spent decades entertaining audiences since launching his career on “Saturday Night Live” in 1980, but he revealed he missed out on an unforgettable experience with renowned actor Yul Brynner and his wife.

Eddie Murphy, known for his iconic roles in “Beverly Hills Cop,” “The Nutty Professor,” and as the voice of Donkey in the “Shrek” films, recounted the story to The Mirror.

“I met Yul Brynner at Studio 54,” he said. “Years later I realized he was trying to pick me up, while he was with his wife and I was 21 years old.”

The encounter left a lasting impression on Murphy.

“Yul was like, ‘Would you like to come back with my wife and me and party?’ And I was like, ‘What? We are partying right here?’ and then I didn’t go. Years later I realized, I was like, ‘Oh, he meant ‘Come partying,’ and now I wish I had gone.”

Reflecting on the missed rendezvous, Murphy added, “It’s such a better story if I had gone and had a threesome with him and his wife.”

Yul Brynner, the late Oscar-winning actor of “The King and I,” passed away in 1985 at the age of 65.

His first marriage was with actress Virginia Gilmore from 1944 to 1960.

He then married model Doris Kleiner in 1960, with their union lasting until 1967, before tying the knot with French socialite Jacqueline Thion de la Chaume from 1971 to 1981. In 1983,

Brynner married ballerina Kathy Lee, who survived him.

EXCLUSIVE: Nasaan Is Sleeping At Big Sean’s House While Finishing New Album

Detroit-born, Atlanta-bred rapper Nasaan may have provided a substantial update on the status of Big Sean’s next album.

During an exclusive interview with AllHipHop during the 2024 BET Awards, the Atlantic Records signee spoke on his relationship with Sean Don, remarking on the moment the “IDFWU” rapper showed him love by trolling him and rocking an outfit recreating the “uniform” he is currently donning in promotion of his project Error 404. In the process, Nasaan revealed how his relationship with Big Sean evolved from being inspired by him to becoming friends and collaborators.

“It’s crazy because Sean is somebody, bro, I grew up just idolizing, you know what I’m saying?” Nasaan said in part. He added, “I copied his flows, I mirrored his style so much to now just be a, we’re friends now. You know what I’m saying? I’ve been sleeping at this house since I’ve been out here just like my dog. So it’s just crazy. Those full circle moments and almost manifesting it. The universe got a weird way of working. It’s just crazy. Like, dang. The person I was a fan of is now a fan of me.”

As he continued, Nasaan briefly outlined his involvement in Big Sean’s upcoming LP, which he also indicated should be arriving much sooner, rather than later.

“I play big part in helping just curate and just giving ideas and stuff—literally, after I leave here, I’m probably going to go back to his house and we working on his album,” he said.

He added, “Between us, I’m on it. But yeah, that should be coming out late summer. I’m excited. You know what I’m saying? He’s somebody who, like I said, he sees the superstar in me. He kind of just wants to nurture that.”

EXCLUSIVE: Trae Tha Truth Says J. Cole Did Not Duck Kendrick Lamar Beef

Trae Tha Truth is pushing back on the narrative that J. Cole attempted to avoid confrontation with Kendrick Lamar amid his rap beef with Drake.

During an exclusive interview with AllHipHop at the 2024 BET Awards, Trae Tha Truth addressed the situation involving the Dreamville MC’s decision to publicly apologize to Lamar after releasing his “7 Minute Drill” diss track from the album Might Delete Later. In his defense of Cole, Trae explained why it was necessary for the North Carolina native to act in the fashion that he did due to his dedication to preserving his character.

“One thing, man, I know he probably wouldn’t want me to say, but I’m going to clarify, I watch blogs and I watch headlines make it as if he [J. Cole] was just trying to get away or duck any type of situation,” Trae said in part. “And that wasn’t the case. What people have to realize is that’s just not the type of energy bro got. You know what I’m saying? He focused on him, he focused on his kids and just always stayed in his lane.

“So everybody wanted to see him rumble and not knowing a lot of us came up together. We partnas, you know I’m saying? So for me, being a real brother to him, you got to respect if somebody like, ‘Man, you know what, bro? I know I’m dope. I’m not questioning myself. I just feel like that’s just not the energy that I’m on.'”

Trae Tha Truth definitely hit the nail on the head with his remarks on the situation, considering Cole previously iterated some of the same sentiments. In fact, Cole claimed the feud gave him sleepless nights and said it didn’t “sit right with my spirit.”

However, since then, many believe he did what he did in order to avoid the lyrical warfare that swiftly went nuclear upon Drake and Kendrick Lamar releasing scathing diss records such as “Family Matters” and “Meet The Grahams.”
