Prosecutors want a judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty, who claims he never was able to challenge his sex offender status.
According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, oral arguments in the case are scheduled for January 6, 2023. Nicki Minaj’s husband aims to move forward with his lawsuit in an attempt to get his name removed from New York’s sex offender registry.
Kenneth Petty says he never received notice about a 2004 Sex Offender Registration Act hearing. Prosecutors insist Nicki Minaj’s husband was properly notified.
“Contrary to Plaintiff’s allegations, he received notice and was afforded all the process due to him after participating in his 2004 SORA hearing with his counsel,” prosecutors argue. “The court-certified transcript of this hearing attached as Exhibit A to Defendant’s Memorandum of Law in Support of Defendants’ Motion to Dismiss is both an official judicial record and integral to Plaintiff’s complaint, and thus can be considered on this motion, and it ends the case. Plaintiff acknowledged his identity on the record, and his counsel stated that Plaintiff did not contest his designation as a level 2 sex offender.”
Kenneth Petty claims someone forged his signature on the notice, which was sent to an address where he didn’t live because he was incarcerated at the time. Nicki Minaj’s husband seeks to argue he wasn’t present for the 2004 hearing.
“Plaintiff’s counsel’s implication that this official judicial transcript is a forgery because Plaintiff’s incarceration records may show that Plaintiff was incarcerated at the time in various New York state correctional facilities and purportedly thus could not have attended the SORA hearing is nothing short of absurd,” prosecutors contend. “As the Court is well aware, incarcerated individuals are constantly being brought to court from prison for appearances in their cases. The state courts similarly routinely require the production of incarcerated individuals for court appearances, such as the SORA hearing at issue.”
The State Of New York downplays Kenneth Petty’s alleged ignorance regarding his sex offender status. Prosecutors also say the statute of limitations has run out in his case.
“Although Plaintiff admits to his felony conviction for Attempted Rape in the First Degree in State Court, he still alleges that he was unaware of his sex offender status and his risk level redetermination until he was arrested in March 2020 out-of-state for failure to register [as a sex offender],” prosecutors note. “From 2013 through March 2020, Plaintiff essentially alleges he was unaware of the collateral consequences of his felony sex crime conviction.”
They add, “Plaintiff’s claims are meritless and the SORA hearing transcript demonstrates that Plaintiff is fourteen years late in pursuing this lawsuit. The statute of limitations has run and Plaintiff’s claims should be dismissed.”
Kenneth Petty is suing the State of New York and the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. Judge Eric R. Komitee is presiding over Nicki Minaj’s husband’s case.
Bow Wow returns with a new job as he is the new host of BET’s “After Happily Ever After.”
The show is a one-of-a-kind dating series that asks the question – Can your ex help you find new love?
The BET original features couples in long-term relationships that ended in divorce or separation, and their exes will play matchmaker for their former partners in hopes of helping them let go, move on, and find love once again.
On each episode, Bow Wow will throw a singles party with a new group of potential prospects and daters. The ex-spouses attend the parties to see if they can find good candidates for their former partners. The prospects even get to move into the house for 48 hours to date the former spouses, but are thrown back into the singles pool if they are deemed to not be a good match.
Viewers will get a chance to see if old feelings resurface between the exes and if any of the cast members find love.
With an all-star cast including Peter Gunz, Amina Buddafly, Jeremy Meeks, Shar Jackson and more, the show surely will not disappoint!
AllHipHop’s Rea Davis caught up with Bow Wow to discuss “After Happily Ever After,” getting his credit, his Top 5 DOA and more!
AllHipHop: In your own words, what can we expect from “After Happily Ever After?”
Bow Wow: The real question is, or the answer to that question is what is there not to expect. It’s crazy. It’s up and down. I mean it’s a rollercoaster full of emotions. I mean you’re going to expect couples to leave happy. Some couples might leave alone. Some couples might leave angry. You have a lot of mixed emotions. You are probably going to laugh. You are probably going to be angry. I mean we are taking you all around. It’s a show of its own kind. It’s never been done before where a dating experience where your ex is picking for you. You are placed in a house with you ex and you might not have seen your ex in years. Some of them have kids, some of them are there because of divorce, and you have to build that trust to know that your ex is going to find the right person. Does your ex want to see you happy. Each week I throw these single parties where I’m like inviting 50 guests to the house. The exes come out and pick for the date or so; I mean it’s a wild experience. It’s all over the place. It’s very toxic of course you know anytime you mix ex couples in a house together for 30 days and they haven’t been around each other, you know what’s going to happen. Just be ready. It’s going to be crazy.
AllHipHop: When you heard the concept of the exes helping their exes find new love, what was your reaction to that?
Bow Wow: I was like I’m ready. This is me. Nobody else can host this show but me. This is dope. I’m a little toxic myself. You know we all like to dabble in a little toxic vibes every now and then. For me it was just dope. Not only that but, the show was fly itself, but it was also the people behind things that don’t get enough credit. A couple of the producers. Angela is one of our producers. I work with her on “Growing Up Hip-Hop,” so just people’s familiar faces and people I’ve worked with for years in the TV world, and it came around full circle, then you add BET to the mix. BET gave me my first hosting gig. They believed in me; they trusted me with no hosting experience. They just gave me the mic and told me to have fun with 106 & Park. To have it come full circle and come back around and now host this new show with “After Happily Ever After,” it’s a beautiful situation; it’s the perfect marriage.
AllHipHop: So you have some equally wild people on the show: Peter Gunz, Amina Buddafly, Jeremy Meeks and Shar Jackson. Do any of them find love?
Bow Wow: You gotta wait and see.
AllHipHop: How is your love life currently?
Bow Wow: My love life is easy because I’m single. I’m chilling. Relationships aren’t really my thing because there are so many women that I’ve met along my journey, 15 years plus, that I have friendships with. They are still down, and they still get on me every now and then like “when you gonna settle down and when you gonna….why you keep doing this to me.” I’m like we not together. We’ve been bonding for so long; I understand but I’m just cursed. I got this thing about me it’s either when I’m a good boy I’m still in the wrong. When I’m a bad boy, I’m still in the wrong, so for me, it’s safe for me to just be single. I love being single, less stress. I’m not big on rules. You can’t put rules on me. I make my own money. I got my own businesses. It’s hard. I don’t want to come off bossy, but usually I’m the one writing down the instructions. It’s hard to tell me what to do when I’m the creator of everything and I’m running my own show. So to tell me I can’t speak to this girl or tell me….to go in my phone or all that. I don’t play them type of games like. You do that to me, I’m out. I’m not even going to put myself in those situations. So, it’s best that I’m single, and it’s too many women in my life that I’m so cool with that if I’d got a girlfriend it would p### them off, and I’m in a tricky spot. It’s best to throw the single flag up for me.
AllHipHop: If your sex life was a movie, what would be the title?
Bow Wow: Fire & Long
AllHipHop: Who are your Top 5 favorite rappers dead or alive?
Bow Wow: Snoop, Pac, LL Cool J, Special Ed and…. five…I don’t have five.
AllHipHop:I was really happy to see you receive your flowers during the Verzuz. Do you feel like you get your credit as a young legend?
Bow Wow: Yep. Now I do. I do now after um, when I was introduced to Clubhouse. They did this give flowers room to me, and my boy was like you need to get on Clubhouse they want to give you your roses today. I was like wtf is Clubhouse. I don’t know what that is, and I got on there one day, and 21 Savage was in there. All of these artists start coming to the room giving me all my flowers and then once that happened then we started trending on Twitter. Then everyone was bringing up all of the good stuff I ever did. It was like yo it’s time for us to start putting respect on Bow’s name. I think ever since that day I took everything serious. For the past 4 years I kind of stayed in the media for doing a lot of bullsh*t and clown sh*t. A lot of things were self-inflicted on my legacy. I had to step back and understand. A lot of the things were self inflicted. Snoop was like, “You are leaving coffee stains on your table cloth. You can get a little dirty, but you can’t get it too dirty.” When he spoke to me about that, I kind of took that into consideration. Once I started taking it serious and understood who I am, the Millennium Tour started popping out of nowhere. Now I’m on my second run of the Millennium Tour currently right now packing out arenas from city to city. It’s crazy, you know what I mean. So when you step back and analyze yourself and self check yourself, what that can do for you. I’ve been seeing nothing but positivity now. It’s crazy and it’s long overdue but now is the time, so I can’t wait.
AllHipHop: You’ve had longevity in this game, so who do feel are some of the ones killing it right now? Who are you listening to that you feel is putting out some solid music?
Bow Wow: I’m not listening to nobody to be real with you. If it comes on it comes on. I know us being on tour right now like the homies got like a tour mix, so they play it on the big speaker in the dressing room. When it comes on it’s on. I’m familiar with what’s popping. Trust me, I know what’s popping. I be in the streets in the club. I’m everywhere. I’m in the strip club I’m everywhere, but everything to me just sounds the same. I’m really not moved. I respect more of the hustle. I mean I’m sure if you ask this question, everyone is going to say the same rappers, so I don’t really have to name nobody. To me everything just sounds the same.
AllHipHop: What else is next for Bow?
Bow Wow: Currently on tour. Millennium Tour turned up. Everyone go get their tickets. We going out crazy right now. We got the whole industry on tour with us right now. Aside from that, “After Happily Ever After. The new show on BET airing on Wednesdays. Every Wednesday. Just wrapped up a new movie that Jamie Foxx produced, so I’m excited about that. Australia top of the year on tour. Then the documentary coming with my last album I’m putting out. That’s going to be a project for me and Snoop. A lot of work and hopefully Season 2 of this.

AllHipHop’sRea Davis caught up with Rich Homie Quan to discuss his return, changing the narrative of rap and more!
AllHipHop: I feel like it has been a resurgence for Rich Homie Quan. You have the project out. How does it feel?
Rich Homie Quan: It feels good to have the project out. I hadn’t dropped a project in like 3 years so it feels good. Um the team feels strong. I’m in a great space mentally, so it’s easy to record. It’s easy to create. I just feel like a new artist to be honest.
AllHipHop: So you had an incredible run like “Lifestyle,” “Flex,” “I Know,” “Walk Through,” “Type of Way,” so many! How did it feel? Like did you feel like you were on top of the world; does it still feel surreal looking back?
Rich Homie Quan: To be honest, it was kind of a blur. Like I know it happened. I know about my accolades, but it be kind of a blur, and that’s only because I was young and wild. A lot of stuff was happening so fast so I appreciate the moments. I definitely appreciate them, but I try not to dwell on them as much because it will mess with your mental. I try to create new ones if that makes any sense.
AllHipHop: For those who do not know, why were you gone so long?
Rich Homie Quan: Um, I was going through a litigation with my former label, T.I.G. at the time, and I couldn’t put out new music for 2 and 1/2 years I couldn’t drop music, so when the litigation was over, that’s when I signed with Motown/Capitol.
AllHipHop: But then you lost someone close to you too. Did that impact you as well?
Rich Homie Quan: Yeah, I lost my dawg C-Money. That hurt me a whole lot. I hadn’t really lost anyone close. Knock on wood, but I really hadn’t lost anyone close, close, so that impacted me hard, but motivated me at the same time though because I know how much he loved music and being in the studio with me. Just trying to create something for myself as well as him knowing he’s in Big God’s ear pulling for me. That was motivational.
AllHipHop: So what was the inspiration behind ‘Family & Mula,’ and what do you want listeners to take away from it?
Rich Homie Quan: The inspiration behind ‘Family & Mula,’ would have to have come from basically the name. You know what I’m saying. So around the time when I was…Pandemic; when the pandemic came everything shut down. I’m in the house with the family, but I’m also trying to create music, and I had another baby man. I want him to have some of these memories that I got to know his daddy that guy, so that was really the biggest inspiration having a baby, and not being content with where I was in life. I wanted to work. I was still getting money, I was still on the road, and it’s just a good body of music especially that Atlanta sound, evolving, storytelling, wordplay. I just wanted to fall back in love with music and I did.
AllHipHop: I think it’s so commendable that you use your platforms to speak about changing the narrative in music right now especially with all of this opp music. Our community in Hip Hop and the Black community in general is riddled by gun violence. So how do you feel we can change the narrative and get on the same page, but also stop losing so many people to gun violence?
Rich Homie Quan: I feel like if we stop rapping about gun violence, it won’t be as much gun violence. I feel like the music plays a big part in cultural activities you know what I’m saying. For example, if I’m rapping about nothing but guns, violence and opp music, I know at my shows, it’s liable to be a fight or some guns in the vicinity, so I try to just practice what I preach. I know we are all going through everyday problems, and I just try to be relatable to the everyday person. Everybody don’t have a gun, but I know everybody is going through something, so I just try to keep my music relatable to the people, and when I say change the narrative, I want you to feel it before you can hear it. It’s more like motivational, inspirational, hustling, it’s motivating, it’s the get you up and go do the right thing then when you hear this kind of music. I don’t want you to go get no gun. Go buy a house or something don’t go buy no jewelry. Just like giving the youth new game. Like I said I’m older now, so I see things totally different.
AllHipHop: I also know that you love real Hip Hop. Who do you feel like are some of the ones really holding it down right now?
Rich Homie Quan: I would definitely say me, beside me, I like what T.I. be doing for Hip Hop. I love what Snoop does for Hip Hop. Master P. J Prince. Notice I said a lot of older people. I like what the new guys are doing for Hip Hop, but those guys are still going. Those are some of my biggest inspirations. They are on their mogul CEO. Another one; I love what Rick Ross be doing. Ross is one of them ones too. Like that’s who I look up to and get a lot of my game from. I just try to take a little bit from all of them and instill it in me to create a monster.
AllHipHop: Who are your “Top 5” favorite rappers dead or alive?
Rich Homie Quan: I gotta say Pac, OutKast, Biggie, DMX, Jeezy.
AllHipHop: So you know we have to talk Biggie. Talk to me about the Biggie verse. This is another chance for redemption because you actually like Biggie and know Biggie’s lyrics, so tell me about this story. We all remember that VH1 Hip Hop Honors night. I want you to show the people that you really know Biggie’s music.
Rich Homie Quan: For one, I forgot what year it was. Lil Kim had reached out to me. VH1 was honoring her. I forgot for what award, but the show was based around her. She called me like Quan I want you to come up here. I want you to perform Biggie. I asked Fab to do it but he’s going to be out of town. Like I said, knowing I didn’t know [the verse], I still said yeah. So I got up there. I had printed the lyrics out because I know I didn’t know. At the soundcheck I bring my lyrics on the paper. I asked the dude to put the lyrics on the teleprompter. I’m going through rehearsal; everything’s going smooth and great. I leave from rehearsal and go get like the Coogi sweater, Timb’s, I’m trying to get in character for Biggie. I’m backstage still practicing my lyrics cause I know I don’t know. As I got out there, the first two lines on the teleprompter, then the teleprompter goes black. When the teleprompter went black, I tried to say what I thought I saw on the paper. As that was a bunch of nothing, and to-this-day, I still don’t know those lyrics..Not that song.
AllHipHop: Get Money is so classic.
Rich Homie Quan: Like I said, I’m from the south. It is a classic, and that’s just one of those classics I didn’t know. I don’t know. I’m a fan of Biggie. I love Biggie though. That just wasn’t one of my Biggie songs though. My favorite song by Biggie is “Notorious Thugs.” Every time I hear it [“Get Money”], I’m like that’s the song I messed up. It’s so big. I’m going to learn it.
AllHipHop: What is the current state of your relationship with Thug? I know there is some respect there.
Rich Homie Quan: There really is no relationship. It’s not a bad one. We don’t currently talk. I’m not gonna fake the funk. I wish him the best in his situation. If I was to see him in the mall, we would head nod and keep it moving. We have major respect for each other. I want to see his situation better. I pray that he gets out so he can feed his family; other than that, I wish him the best.
AllHipHop: What’s next for Rich Homie Quan, and are there any other endeavors you want to tap into?
Rich Homie Quan: Well what’s next for me? We gonna drop more music. I’m dropping more music in December. Pushing out more of these videos to change the narrative of music. I want to come out with a book. I want to start taking acting classes. It’s time for me to expand and have more than one hustle. I love music; music is what I do, but it’s time for me to open more doors for my team as well.
A new report says that Kanye West is a beast to work with and has been influenced by “Skinheads” and “Nazis.”
In an interview released on Wednesday, November 9th, former staffers, told Rolling Stone that the hate groups “were his greatest inspiration” and that the clothes he designed for his September fashion show in Paris (hoods, snoods, and face-covering masks) were based on their movements.
The worker said the producer-turned-designer was an “HR nightmare,” especially when he told them that he wanted to project the image “We Are N—erish.”
The staffer said the skinhead/Nazi conversation was at first taken to be “a point of inspiration,” but “the minute he turns it around, uses it, [and] puts himself in a position of making money off of it, I feel like he does something to it — he takes ownership over it.”
This was seen when he tried to hock the “White Lives Matter” shirts, a venture deaded because he didn’t own the trademark.
“It was like, ‘What the f###?’” one staffer said. “A lot of us were very uncomfortable with it.”
Outside of the hate speech, Ye was setting it off on people left and right, even on one person for playing Drake’s music.
“Everyone’s always on the verge of losing their job, so the dynamics are total chaos,” one person said.
Another added, “How he is on social media is exactly how he’s like with employees.”
Fredo Bang’s artist, Lit Yoshi, drops a brand new mixtape, LIfe of an Ape today. The incarcerated Baton Rouge rapper kept himself busy in the studio while on house arrest awaiting trial and today is unleashing 21 tracks of pure street fire.
Life of an Ape is light on features – Fredo Bang, Lil Loaded, Sevenhardawy, Big 30, Pooh Shiesty and his own artist, Hotboydue have the honors – but Yoshi has no trouble carrying this project alone. He is definitely not short on subject matter as he waits on decisions filed by his recently-hired new attorney.
Lit Yoshi rose to fame alongside Fredo Bang on the banger, Again, after signing to the former’s Bang Biz Ent label at only 19. Yoshi followed that hit with Straight Facts which garnered him his first 1M views on his own merit. 2021 saw Fredo and Yoshi arrested in Miami after the roommates were the subjects of a Federal search. Lit Yoshi currently resides at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
Yoshi’s manager was able to catch up with the rapper by phone recently to discuss his new project and how he’s holding up. You can read that interview below.
Why did you name the project Life of an Ape?
Lit Yoshi: If you know me you know I represent those three letters TBG for those that don’t know what that means. That’s ‘top boy gorilla” which my uncle IVY started. RIP IVY . However I got a song on the project called life of an ape that will give you a better insight on why I named the project life of an ape.
Tell us about your features on the project?
Lit Yoshi: Self-explanatory them my brothers and right now it’s all about family. Maybe later I can get into bigger features. But all we got is us right now. By the way go on YouTube and check out my 1st signed Artists on Head Youngin records Hotboydue. We have a lot of entertainment and a lot of talent.
Tell us how you came up with the 21 tracks on the project?
Lit Yoshi: I was on house arrest so the only thing to do was go to the studio and come back home so I spent a lot of my time in the studio.
How do you feel about your headspace right now?
Lit Yoshi: I need them to know as a man I stand tall and I’m going to make it. Also keep me in your prayers. I have more court dates coming. I’m back in court to make things right. This has helped me open my eyes to see what is real and what is fake around me. All we got is us god and God
What’s your favorite song on the project?
Lit Yoshi: Basically all of them but I’m gonna go with Head Youngin because it’s featuring the best upcoming rapper out of Baton Rouge Louisiana right now.
What does Head Youngin mean to you?
Lit Yoshi: Head Youngin is symbolic of me being on top young. Meaning my maturity level ain’t equal to the average person my age. I know some 40 to 50 year old kids. I also know some 18, 19 year old grown men.
What do you want people to know about from listening to your project?
Lit Yoshi: I want people to know who I am. I want people to know about me. I want people to know when they listen to me they’re listening to some real s###. I want them to know I am the real deal. I’m not a fake.
Tell me about your upbringing?
Lit Yoshi: My real name is Meyoshi Edwards. I grew up with both my mother and father. Middle child to two sisters. I grew up playing basketball in high school. But I always love going to be in the streets. I got expelled from two high schools. But lucky for me I was still able to get a real high school diploma and 2020.
What was your life after high school?
Lit Yoshi: I started rapping when I was 18 years old. I didn’t take rapping seriously, I did it for fun. My uncle IVY, the owner of TBG, put me in the label. On the label was Fredo Bang, Boulevard Quick and G Money. One day I noticed all three of them were in jail. And I was the only one left to represent the label. So I started rapping.
But as soon as they came out, I was back to being in the streets. But after being in jail two or three times. I decided to take wrapping seriously. The streets are no longer for me. I got with Fredo Bang . Did a couple songs with him. Saw my first million views on YouTube on my track Again ft Freddo. So I signed to Bang Biz as Fredo‘s first artist.
Rap fans and celebrities gathered at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA, on Friday, November 11th, to celebrate the life of Migos rapper Takeoff, 28.
The deceased became famous in the group with his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset and were primarily raised in the same home in suburban Atlanta by Takeoff’s mother.
The rain came down on the morning of the memorial service, but fans, friends, and family hoped to bring light and love today through tribute. Outside of the venue was a billboard size portrait of the star, lit up like his personality.
Surprisingly, his image was not compromised by the unsavory weather.
Big-name celebrities performed heartwarming tributes, including Justin Bieber, Chloe Bailey and Yolanda Adams. Rap star Drake was also in attendance. and gave a nice speech for Offset.
As reported by AllHipHop.com, Takeoff, born Kirsnick Khari Ball, was fatally shot weeks ago while in Texas outside a Houston bowling alley.
Despite the high-profile nature of the murder, no arrests have been made.
Instead of flowers or gifts, the Ball family would like people to make donations to The Rocket Foundation, which was established in Takeoff’s honor and aims to prevent gun violence.
I cannot believe it, finally I got acknowledged! There have been a few rappers that mentioned me, most notably Crooked I, but that was a long time ago. I have been illseed – the only illseed for well over 20 years. Now, after all this time, one of the goats of rap finally mentions me! NAS!
First of all, I want to say that the new album is an instant classic. Rappers of a certain age are on notice. Nas is not here for your foolish games or smoke-n-mirrors. He is here to show you that he is THE GOAT. We can argue about it all day, but Nas hit the scene over 30 years ago and the levels he has spit on have been consistently unparalleled. There have only been a couple that have come close, Jay-Z is the closest with the eternal debate.
Anyway, let’s fast forward to why you are reading this. On the song “30,” Nas mentions me when talking about himself. Now, some of you might think this is random. No, I have been putting it down consistently for a very long time. Just in case you were thinking something else … Adam Silver says he knows Kyrie Irving is being painted out to be something he is not.
According to TMZ, Silver, the Commissioner of the NBA, said, “He’s someone I’ve known for a decade, and I’ve never heard an antisemitic word from him or, frankly, hate directed at any group.”
Silver did say Irving’s decision to not explain why he posted the poster and tweeted a link for “Hebrew to Negroes: Wake Up Black America” was “reckless,” but did not place him in a space where he is considered antisemitic.
He also bashed Amazon, the platform still distributing the movie and the book.
As AllHipHop.com reported, Amazon has received a letter from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Brooklyn Nets condemning the global marketplace for distributing the film or the book.
On Friday, November 4th, a letter was sent from the ADL in conjunction with Nets, that requested Amazon remove the movie and book from its distribution.

Entertainment legend Chris Rock will present a history-making program on Netflix. The upcoming stand-up comedy special will be the first-ever to stream live on the platform.
“Chris Rock is one of the most iconic and important comedic voices of our generation,” said Robbie Praw, Netflix Vice President of Stand-up and Comedy Formats, in a press release.
Praw continued, “We’re thrilled the entire world will be able to experience a live Chris Rock comedy event and be a part of Netflix history. This will be an unforgettable moment and we’re so honored that Chris is carrying this torch.”
Fellow comedian Bo Burnham directedTamborine. A “remix” of the show arrived on Netflix in January 2021. Chris Rock Total Blackout: The Tamborine Extended Cut included interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
Rock took part in the Netflix Is a Joke: The Festival earlier this year. His forthcoming comedy special is set to premiere in early 2023. Netflix will provide additional details about the event in the coming weeks.

Los Angeles-bred rapper/singer Doja Cat took issue with Twitter blocking her from changing her display name from “Christmas.” The “Say So” hitmaker blasted Elon Musk on his own platform.
“Why can’t I change my name on here?” tweeted Doja Cat on November 10. She later added, “How do I change it? Also, f### you Elon… I don’t wanna be Christmas forever @elonmusk. Please help I’ve made a mistake.”
On Thursday night, Doja Cat returned to Twitter to send out another tweet directed at Elon Musk. It appears the Grammy winner has forgiven the Tesla CEO for the confusion over the new direction of the service.
“Thank u Elon @elonmusk,” tweeted Doja Cat at 11:19 pm ET on Thursday. As of press time, the Planet Her album creator has “fart” listed as her display name on Twitter. She also added a different profile picture.

Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrived in American theaters today (November 11). Global superstar Rihanna contributed music to the Ryan Coogler-directed movie.
Rihanna released her comeback single “Lift Me Up” on October 28. The Barbadian billionaire is now back with another new track titled “Born Again.”
An official visualizer for Rihanna’s “Born Again” hit YouTube on November 11. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever composer Ludwig Göransson and R&B veteran Terius “The-Dream” Nash produced the track.
Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up” debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song became Rihanna’s first Top 10 entry on the Hot 100 since her featured performance on DJ Khaled’s “Wild Thoughts” in 2017.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Music From and Inspired By also hosts tracks by Tems, Future, Burna Boy, Stormzy, and other international acts. Academy Award winner Ludwig Göransson oversaw the project.
“Ryan and I talked about the importance of creating an immersive journey of sound and voice,” said Göransson. “If we used a song in the film, we wanted it to be the entire song, and to be connected to the story.”

Congresswomen Maxine Waters and Sheila Jackson Lee, MeToo founder Tarana Burke, Planned Parenthood CEO Alexis McGill Johnson, Tamika Mallory, Angela Rye, and other leaders joined the Southern Black Girls & Women’s Consortium in standing with the Houston native.
The influential bunch penned an open letter dedicated to Megan Thee Stallion, denouncing violence against women. In the letter, they claim “culture has failed” Meg after she alleged Tory Lanez shot her in the foot.
The letter comes after Drake was heavily criticized for making light of the shooting in his new joint album with 21 Savage.
Megan Thee Stallion blasted rappers using her shooting for “clout” in the wake of Drake’s “Circo Loco” lyrics. “This b#### lie ’bout getting shots, but she still a stallion,” Drake rapped.
In a series of tweets, Megan Thee Stallion called out those accusing her of lying about the shooting.

The Southern Black Girls & Women’s Consortium’s letter notes Megan Thee Stallion has been “so strong.” They say the rapper deserves to “heal” without being “judged.”
“You’ve had to endure public harassment and taunting not only from that person but from others choosing to stand with him,” it reads. “You’ve consistently been clear about what happened to you, but instead of being met with widespread support, people who should have had your back have chosen to stay out of the matter.”

The Hip-Hop icon began teasing the third installment of the King’s Disease series late last year. He hinted at the arrival on his surprise album Magic, also produced by Hit-Boy. On “Ugly’ Nas raps: “I’m on offense every day until I see the love/KD3 on the way, this just to feed the buzz.”
The pair shared the King’s Disease III cover art last month before dropping the tracklist on Thursday. Unlike both predecessors, the 17-track record features no guest appearances and clocks in at around 50 minutes.
Nas scored his first Grammy Award for King’s Disease, winning Best Rap Album in 2021. The follow-up album was also nominated but Call Me If You Get Lost by Tyler, the Creator, collected the win.
After releasing King’s Disease II, Nas said that the duo tries to outdo themselves on each new song.
“I feel like every song we make, without even consciously doing it, we’re trying to make it better than the last,” Nas explained to Complex. “It’s just already embedded in us to do that. I feel like as long as we keep taking that approach, it’s going to get crazier and crazier, and that’s what happened.”
The NYC legend said he had an instant chemistry with Hit-Boy, making magic together from the first song they recorded.

A third man has been arrested and is facing murder charges in connection to the murder of Young Dolph.
According to Memphis news outlet Commercial Appeal, Shelby County District Attorney General Steve Mulroy confirmed that Hernandez Govan, 43, was arrested on Thursday (Nov. 10). He was indicted of first-degree murder in connection with Young Dolph’s killing.
Fox News Memphis reports sources say Govan is also charged with attempted first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. The conspiracy charge reportedly dates back to June 2021, suggesting authorities believe Govan plotted to kill Young Dolph months before his murder.
Young Dolph was shot over 22 times inside Memphis cookie shop Makeda’s Butter Cookies on Nov. 17, 2021. He died on the scene at age 36.
Last week, another suspect accused of murdering Young Dolph told a court he fears for his safety behind bars. Justin Johnson asked to be transferred from a pretrial detention facility to another correctional facility in East Memphis.
Hernandez Govan’s arrest comes just days before the first anniversary of the Memphis rapper’s killing. On Thursday, the mother of Young Dolph’s children and his longtime partner, Mia Jaye shared an insight into the struggles she and their family have faced since the rapper’s death.
“Today is a week from the anniversary of me losing Adolph, and this almost year has been the most challenging year I’ve ever had to face in my life,” Jaye said in a video posted to Instagram. “And it’s like the closer I get to this earmark … it’s like trying to be positive about something so messed up, it comes to a breaking point to where it’s like it’s really just unfair, man.”
Black liberation elder Mutulu Shakur is set to be released after spending more than 36 years behind bars.
On Thursday, The U.S. Parole Commission confirmed that the late rapper’s stepfather will be released to spend his remaining days in Southern California with his family, The Intercept reports.
Activists have fought long and hard to secure Mututlu Shakur’s release. The 72-year-old is dying of bone marrow cancer. As reported by AllHipHop.com, Mutulu’s attorney Brad Thomson said doctors determined his client only had six months to live in May. His supporters argued Shakur posed no risk to society and would be unlikely to reoffend if released.
“We are relieved that the Parole Commission now recognizes what has long been true — that Dr. Shakur’s release poses no risk whatsoever,” Shakur’s attorney, Brad Thomson, said. “It is tragic that it took until he was on the verge of death for that truth to finally be realized.”
Mutulu Shakur has long since been eligible for release, as per the Parole Commission guidelines.
The Commission stated: “We now find your medical condition renders you so infirm of mind and body that you are no longer physically capable of committing any Federal, State or local crime.”
According to his attorney, Mututlu Shakur “will now be able to live out his final days, surrounded by the love and care of his family and close friends.”
In 1998, Mutultu was sentenced to 60 years in prison after being convicted of multiple charges, including conspiracy to violate the RICO Act. His supporters argued his actions were political and not criminal.
Wiz Khalifa’s former assistant dropped a $60,000 lawsuit against the Taylor Gang leader.
According to Radar Online, the 35-year-old rapper’s ex-assistant Jason Gonzalez asked the Los Angeles Superior Court to dismiss the case. Last year, Gonzalez sued his old boss over reimbursement for groceries and unpaid overtime.
Gonzalez worked for Wiz Khalifa from February 2017 to January 2019. Gonzalez referred to himself as an errand runner for the diamond-selling artist.
The ex-assistant’s lawsuit mentioned him picking up dry cleaning, groceries and prescriptions for his employer. Gonzalez allegedly had to pay for these items out of pocket as part of the gig.
Gonzalez claimed Wiz Khalifa agreed to pay the assistant back for these expenses and cover gas money. But the lawsuit accused the Pittsburgh-bred rapper of never paying for $9,000 in expenses and $1,700 for gas. Gonzalez also said his boss didn’t provide true meal breaks and failed to pay for overtime.
Wiz Khalifa allegedly fired his former assistant after Gonzalez complained about the payment issues. Gonzalez pursued legal action over wrongful termination and unpaid wages.
Gonzalez sought $60,000 for reimbursements, unpaid overtime and the lack of proper meal breaks. Wiz Khalifa denied any wrongdoing and said all of Gonzalez’s “legitimate expenses” were reimbursed.
Some things rappers do these days don’t make sense. What’s the point? Is it to stroke the ego? Or maybe it’s to put money where your name is?
The world may never truly understand why “Last Name” rapper Future legally changed his last name to Cash.
Keep in mind, in the song mentioned above he states, “we ain’t runnin’ from no responsibilities. I take care of families. I’m embarrassed over this mess that I done caused.”
Rightfully so, this name change is almost certain to cause some mess. Especially considering his eight children. With eight different mothers to deal with, it’s safe to say he’ll be hearing from everyone in the coming weeks.
We’ve all gotten comfortable adding the Hendrix moniker to his stage name but his given name is Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn. He did offer a plain explanation via Instagram.
“Bag Secured, Da Biggest,” he wrote.
As it stands, all of his kids carry the Wilburn family name. Will their last names change as well? Not to mention, his youngest son’s first name is Kash.
Perhaps the biggest question is what his mama thinks about the sudden change. If you didn’t know Stephanie Jester is Future’s mother. She also serves as the chief operating officer of her son’s Freebandz record label.
