Lizzo Confesses To Suicidal Thoughts Amid Troubling Legal Issues

Lizzo revealed heartbreaking struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts during an emotional performance at LA’s The Wiltern.

The “Good As Hell” superstar stunned the audience with her confession, describing the turmoil she endured amid recent legal controversies, including lawsuits accusing her of workplace misconduct.

Lizzo explained openly to the crowd how the pressure had spiraled into overwhelming despair.

“About a year and a half ago – it’s so hard for me to talk about – I was in such a dark, deep depression,” Lizzo told the hushed crowd. “I was so heartbroken by the world and so deeply hurt that I didn’t want to live anymore, and I was so deeply afraid of people that I didn’t want to be seen. Eventually I got over that fear.”

The Grammy-winning songstress, known for her empowering anthems and contagious positivity, described how a profound interaction with a stranger helped her regain strength.

She recalled the moment poignantly during the performance, saying, “Something miraculous happened. Somebody, who I didn’t know, looked at me and said, ‘Lizzo, I love you.’ And they reached out, and I reached back, and we hugged, and it felt so damn good.”

Lizzo didn’t hold back when emphasizing the significance of that encounter, calling it “f**king life-saving.”

The emotional revelation comes in the wake of legal troubles that began earlier in 2023, when three former backup dancers and an ex-stylist sued the star, alleging inappropriate conduct, sexual harassment and the fostering of a damaging workplace environment.

Lizzo has steadfastly denied all accusations, and recently, she was dismissed as a defendant from the stylist’s lawsuit.

However, other legal matters remain unresolved.

Outkast Posts Rare ’90s Footage Of The Dungeon In “Homage” To Atlanta

Outkast—the duo of legendary MCs André 3000 and Big Boi—helped put Atlanta Hip-Hop on the map. Beginning in the early ’90s, albums such as Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik and ATLiens proved indefinitely “the South has something to say.”

It all started in the basement of Rico Wade’s mother’s house, which Wade had nicknamed The Dungeon. There, along with his Organized Noize brethren Sleepy Brown and Ray Murray, Wade crafted enduring masterpieces for not just Outkast but also Goodie Mob, TLC and more.

On Friday (March 14), Outkast uploaded their “homage” to their relationship with Atlanta, which included some rare footage of Three Stacks and Big Boi being interviewed by Fab Five Freddy for Yo! MTV Raps.

Just 19 at the time, Dre, rocking a white Kangol, spoke about “vibing” in the studio while Daddy Fat Sax talked about some of his influences, including Eric B. & Rakim and Kurtis Blow as well as their peers, Goodie Mob and Society of Soul.

Formed in 1992 after André 3000 and Big Boi met as high school students, Outkast quickly rose to prominence two years later, when they unleashed the Organized Noize-produced Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.

Blending Southern Hip-Hop, funk, psychedelia and jazz, their music was an innovative gumbo of sounds seasoned with intricate lyricism. Outkast released six studio albums during their time together, garnering both critical acclaim and commercial success along the way.

Their 1998 album, Aquemini, liberated Hip-Hop from any perceived constraints with its exploration of more diverse and experimental sounds. Outkast’s impact was further evident on 2003’s double album, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, which won Album of the Year at the 46th Grammy Awards and achieved diamond certification.

Much has changed since Outkast’s last album, 2006’s Idlewild. André and Big Boi went on their last Outkast tour in 2014, and there’s little chance of them ever getting back together (although they remain close friends).

Three Stacks released an experimental jazz album, New Blue Sun, in 2023 and was nominated for a Grammy in the Album of the Year and Best Alternative Jazz Album categories at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards. The opening track, “I Swear, I Really Wanted to Make a ‘Rap’ Album but This Is Literally the Way the Wind Blew Me This Time,” was nominated for Best Instrumental Composition.

Big Boi continues to tour with Sleepy Brown and other members of the Dungeon Family, although they’ve had to do a lot of mourning in recent months. Rico Wade died suddenly in April 2024 of heart problems and his mother, Beatrice Wade, followed six months later.

King Harris Drops New EP “Be Ready” To Show His Versatility & Business Skills

King Harris flexed his entrepreneurial ambition by releasing his new seven-track EP “Be Ready” on his own label, Wild Beast Incorporated.

Raised amid Hip-Hop royalty as the son of rap legend T.I., Harris is now blazing his own path, simultaneously proving his lyrical chops and business acumen like his dad.

The EP “Be Ready” is a teaser for a forthcoming full-length album, with Harris carefully curating each track to highlight other sides of his artistry.

King Harris said he deliberately created a straightforward but mixed collection of songs to preview a more extensive project he’s planning.

“I made it short and simple, like a teaser for the album,” Harris told AllHipHop.com. “The album is going to consist of all the vibes that was produced out into the EP, you know. So I wanted the people to see every click on the EP is a different vibe and a different kind of swag to show my versatility.”

Beyond the music itself, Harris has ambitious plans for how he’ll market each track.

Aware of the shifting landscape in entertainment promotion, he recognizes that traditional music videos don’t always generate the same engagement as shorter, creative content.

“Nowadays content does better than videos,” Harris said. He plans to create distinctive content pieces for each track on the EP, testing audience reaction and engagement.

The strategy is clear: whichever song resonates most with listeners will get a full-scale, high-quality video treatment comparable to the visuals fans saw with his previous release, “Locked In.”

However, Harris stressed that his main focus is on delivering daily creative content that aligns with the energy and themes of each song.

He wants to consistently provide fresh visuals, keeping his audience engaged and immersed in his music.

“I’m more so trying to get more into doing content, being creative, giving my viewers and my fans something to see every day, with the song in the background, me fitting the energy of the song in the content,” Harris explained.

50 Cent Mocks Keefe D’s Jailhouse Tears Over Tupac Shakur Murder Allegations

50 Cent savagely mocked Keefe D on Instagram Friday (March 14) over a jailhouse interview depicting the Tupac Shakur murder suspect breaking down in tears.

The G-Unit mogul posted a clip of the interview on Instagram. 50 Cent didn’t hold back, captioning the video: “LOL KEEFIE NAH, THIS S### IS FUNNY. To me, he just ran his mouth until they came and got him. LOL.”

Duane Keith Davis, better known as Keefe D, remains adamant about his innocence in the 1996 killing of Hip-Hop icon Tupac Shakur.

During the ABC News interview, Keefe D broke down while discussing being separated from his grandchildren, insisting he’s been wrongfully accused.

“They got no evidence,” Keefe D claimed. “They know they don’t have nothing. Came and placed me out here, and they don’t have no gun, no car, no Keefe D, no nothing. Everybody on video but Keefe D. This is wrong.”

He further maintained he was in Los Angeles at home when the rapper was fatally wounded, claiming “20-30” individuals could vouch for his alibi.

Despite his claims, Keefe D previously admitted in interviews and his memoir Compton Street Legend that he was involved in the shooting.

Meanwhile, Keefe was recently involved in a physical altercation with another inmate at Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas.

Footage showed the men grappling and striking each other, with Keefe D seemingly putting Hamilton in a headlock.

Corrections officers reportedly used pepper spray to separate the two, and they were later physically restrained.

Keefe D has been charged with battery by a prisoner, claiming he was “just standing his ground.”

Angie Stone Remembered By Tyler Perry, Anthony Hamilton & Keke Wyatt In Tearful Farewell

The late Angie Stone drew a star-studded crowd as music royalty, including Tyler Perry, Kirk Franklin, Musiq Soulchild, Anthony Hamilton and Keke Wyatt, gathered at Word of Faith Cathedral in Austell, Georgia, on Friday (March 14) to honor the late soul legend at her public memorial service.

The emotional tribute saw the cathedral filled to maximum capacity as mourners celebrated the soul singer’s extraordinary musical legacy.

Perry, Franklin, Hamilton, Wyatt and Musiq Soulchild each spoke movingly about Stone’s profound impact on music, praising her relentless creativity and heartfelt passion.

“Thank you for allowing us to do this, to put her to rest in the fashion of the queen that she was. To the family, I want you to know something, esepcially her children. My mother died at 64. Angie was a year younger than my mother when she passed. In her song, she said ‘time gets a little better.’ So my prayer for you is that time is kind to you,” Tyler Perry said.

The celebration of Stone’s life came less than a week after the tragic accident that claimed her life.

Angie Stone, 63, was killed on March 1 when the Sprinter van she was traveling in overturned along Interstate 65, approximately five miles south of Montgomery, Alabama.

According to authorities, the van was subsequently struck by an oncoming tractor-trailer.

While emergency responders arrived quickly, Angie Stone was pronounced dead at the scene. Everyone else traveling with her survived the collision.

Just hours before the tragedy, Stone had performed in Mobile, Alabama. A statement from Stone’s family emphasized her lasting influence.

“Angie was an example for black women and girls everywhere…Diamond and Michael along with the rest of Angie’s family want to thank you for reaching out, but also asked that you respect their privacy as they grieve the loss of their beloved mother.”

Another intimate ceremony for close family members and friends was scheduled for today (March 15) at First Nazareth Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina, followed by a second celebration of Stone’s remarkable life at the same location.

Tupac Shakur Murder Suspect Keefe D Breaks Down In Jail: “They Got No Evidence”

Tupac Shakur murder suspect Keefe D shed tears behind bars, expressing frustration at his separation from his grandchildren while continuing to deny any involvement in the 1996 murder of the Hip-Hop icon.

“They got no evidence,” Keefe D insisted during an interview with ABC News. “They know they don’t have nothing. Came and placed me out here, and they don’t have no gun, no car, no Keefe D, no nothing. Everybody on video but Keefe D. This is wrong.”

The 60-year-old, whose real name is Duane Keith Davis, was indicted and arrested on September 3, charged with orchestrating the infamous drive-by shooting of legendary rapper Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas nearly three decades ago.

Prosecutors contend Keefe D, an alleged former leader of a Compton Crips faction, masterminded the attack—a claim he vigorously denies.

Keefe D became emotional when discussing his family, particularly the grandchildren he’s now separated from indefinitely.

“I thought I was gonna do college with my grandkids,” he added. “They’re pretty good athletes. Eighteen years later, I did everything they asked me to do: get new friends, stop selling drugs; I stopped all that.”

Keefe D continued, ” I shouldn’t have said nothing. Shouldn’t have said nothing, and I’m innocent man, and God got my back; God will see me through this.”

Keefe D Claims Witnesses Will Clear Him In Tupac Shakur Death

Despite previously admitting in interviews and his memoir Compton Street Legend that he was in the Cadillac involved in the shooting, Keefe D argues that authorities have no physical evidence placing him at the crime scene or linking him to the murder weapon or getaway vehicle.

He insists he was at his Los Angeles home at the time of Shakur’s murder, boasting “20-30” witnesses ready to back up his alibi.

Keefe D also asserts he never authored or even read his memoir, alleging that his co-author penned the book independently, embellishing details for profit.

He contends his past confessions to detectives in 2008 and 2009, acknowledging involvement in Shakur’s killing, were fabrications designed to protect associates in unrelated drug investigations.

Keefe D argues these statements were shielded from prosecution under a “proffer agreement” and should not be used against him now.

Further complicating the case, Keefe D pointed fingers at former Death Row Records security head Reggie Wright Jr. He accuses Wright of orchestrating the crime. Wright, who was present at the club Shakur planned to attend that evening, adamantly denies all accusations.

In addition to the murder charge, Keefe D faces a separate battery accusation stemming from a jailhouse brawl with another inmate. He has pleaded not guilty, arguing self-defense.

Cardi B Flexes Culinary Skills, Shuts Down “I Don’t Cook” Claims

Cardi B has flipped from her famous “I don’t cook” lyric to proudly flaunting homemade mac and cheese.

During an Instagram Live cooking showcase on Thursday night (March 13), Cardi set the record straight about her skills in the kitchen.

Showing off a freshly made dish, she boasted, “My mac and cheese over here, good as a m###########. Let me tell you something. When I say I don’t cook, I don’t clean, it’s because I don’t want to. Because I feel like I got ADHD. I don’t give a f### what anybody say. I know I got ADHD.

“When I don’t cook and clean, it’s because I don’t want to, and, you know, I don’t really have the time for it. That’s why I hired a m############ chef, and I got a lot of kids, but I can cook.”

However, Cardi B says she expects certain favors if cooking for a partner.

“I have expectations,” she explained. “If a n#### want me to be cooking for him, I expect head every single time I cook for his m############ ass.”

The Bronx superstar spoke about her culinary talents during a 2023 interview with PEOPLE

“I usually am not a person that cooks, but I have been cooking because I got two kids now. So it’s like you really just don’t have a choice,” Cardi revealed. “It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or not or you’re famous or not. It’s like your kids, when they hungry, they going to be like, ‘I want it, and you got to cook it now.'”

Flavor Flav Eliminated From “The Masked Singer”—But He Still Made History

Flavor Flav is once again making headlines after appearing as the Space Ranger on Season 13 of the FOX show The Masked Singer. His appearance was marked by a historic performance in which he became the first contestant to sing a Taylor Swift song, specifically “Bad Blood.”

As the self-proclaimed “King Swiftie,” Flavor Flav expressed his admiration for Swift, praising her as one of the most important singer-songwriters of our time.

During his time on the show, Flavor Flav’s distinctive voice and signature style, including his iconic clock accessory, made it challenging for him to remain incognito. Despite the panelists’ initial confusion—with guesses ranging from Tracy Morgan to DJ Jazzy Jeff—they eventually figured out his identity before his unmasking on “Ghostbusters Night.”

Flavor Flav noted that the clues were “easy ass” and that his voice, combined with the clock belt, gave him away. Although he was eliminated early, he expressed gratitude for the experience, stating that it was on his bucket list.

Flavor Flav’s experience on The Masked Singer was marked by a sense of being cheated out of more time on the show. He felt he was eliminated too early and missed the chance to perform a third song, which he’d prepared for the Group B finals. Nonetheless, he cherished the positive feedback from the panel and audience.

During a recent Zoom interview with AllHipHop, Flav talked about his iconic career with Public Enemy and his admiration for Chuck. He also spilled on what’s next for the trailblazing group, which includes a tour with Guns N’ Roses.

“We’re scheduled to go out on tour with Guns N’ Roses this summer and we’re working on some new songs right now to bring out on the road,” Flav said. “We got some fresh brand new songs right now that we’re putting together, and we’re almost done with them. We’re just putting the finishing touches on them, a couple of little knick-knacks, tweaks, this and that. Boom. Then y’all will have a fresh brand new EP from me and Chuck.”

TDE President Punch Trolls Kanye West Over Criticism Of Playboi Carti’s Kendrick Lamar Collab

Top Dog Entertainment President Punch has responded to Kanye West, slight of Kendrick Lamar over his appearance on Playboi Carti’s new album.

On Friday (March 14), Ye jumped on Twitter and began reacting to Carti’s MUSIC album bright and early in the morning around 8AM PST. Though he previously tweeted positive remarks praising the album and “This chorus” on songs such as “CRANK” he also shared some criticism about one of the three tracks Kendrick appears on. In particular, Ye appeared to use the sandwhich method, offering the good and the bad on top of each other in the critical tweet.

“I DONT LIKE KENDRICK LAMARS MUSIC,” Kanye wrote in the judgmental remark before concluding, “HE RAPS VERY GOOD BUT I DIDNT NEED TO HEAR HIM ON CARTI ALBUM.”

It didn’t take Punch long to catch wind of Kanye’s shady comment about Kendrick, to which he responded by trolling the Chicago-bred lyricist.

“Aye…What’s up with this Kanye West n####,” Punch tweeted.

Freddie Gibbs also chimed in, appearing to catch a good laugh over the situation at Ye’s expense.

“Freddie what’s wrong with this n#### man! 😂😂😂,” Punch wrote, prompting Gibbs to respond, “If I speak they gon say I’m hatin lol.”

A number of users also immediately pushed back on Ye’s criticism, including one who pointed out that he even had a hand in bringing to life one of the records Kendrick is featured on.

“YE he is on the song you produced,” the user replied in the thread of the tweet.

Another user dug up tweets from almost 10-years ago to the day, in which Kanye appears to be praising Kendrick’s music.

“Finally back in the studio starting my day by listening to Kendrick’s new album,” he wrote in part. “Thank you for the music and messaging!!!”

In another follow-up tweet, Ye added, “Kendrick is an inspiration thank you for the vibrations and the spirit, your meaning message and execution our gifts to the world.”

Kanye’s latest dig at Kendrick follows remarks he made last month, when he claimed he’s the only man capable of defeating Kendrick Lamar in a battle and claiming he is “the greatest that ever existed.”

“If you rap against Kendrick Lamar, it’s really a difficult task,” he said. “But I’m a psycho genius, so…”

Offset Faces Assault Allegations Stemming From Altercation With Dispensary Security Guard

Offset may have a legal battle on his hands after he was allegedly involved in an altercation with a security guard at a cannabis dispensary.

According to TMZ, the former Migos rapper’s visit to a popular dispensary near LAX airport took a violent turn when the Offset and his entourage became embroiled in a confrontation with security staff. The incident unfolded at MedMen LAX around 9:30 PM PST. Apparently, a dispute allegedly broke out over the rapper’s identification. Offset and his group apparently clashed with a security guard who questioned whether or not the “Ric Flair Drip” MC had proper ID to purchase marijuana—a legal requirement in California.

Representatives for Offset have called the claims “ridiculous,” asserting that he had just landed at the nearby airport and would, of course, have ID in hand. Offset himself claims he was in the process of showing his ID when the situation escalated. According to his side of the story, the security guard grew aggressive, spitting in his face, which led to a physical altercation.

As more security personnel from MedMen became involved, the situation reportedly intensified. Offset allegedly struck the guard and things further escalated when the guard retaliated by spraying mace at Offset and his entourage.

The police were called to the scene shortly thereafter, but Offset and his group had already fled by the time officers arrived. Paramedics were dispatched and the security guard was taken to a local hospital. It’s unclear at this time what the extent of the guard’s injuries may be, but he is believed to have pressed charges against Offset, who continues to assert his innocence.

News of the scuffle follow an altercation Offset was involved in last November in Paris with French rapper Gazo.

This isn’t the first time Offset has found himself within legal crosshairs over a physical confrontation. In 2023, the rapper was involved in another high-profile altercation, this time at ComplexCon. A man named Daveon Clark filed a lawsuit against Offset and fellow associate YRN Murk, accusing them of assault, battery and emotional distress. Clark, a private security guard at the convention, claimed that YRN Murk spat on him after being denied entry to the event. As other security guards attempted to intervene, things turned physical, with Clark alleging that Offset also struck him in the chaos.

At the time, Offset denied any wrongdoing, insisting he was only trying to break up the fight.

“I wasn’t fighting at ComplexCon,” Offset said. “I stepped in to break up a fight caused by a booth’s security. The story is false and overshadows why I’m a regular at ComplexCon. I was there to support the culture and emerging brands and designers. I’m focused on that. I’m in a positive space. Appreciate the concern.”

Wendy Williams Outlines Future Plans Amid Guardianship Struggles

Wendy Williams is opening up about her descent into a legal guardianship while outlining her rigorous plans to escape her current restrictive circumstances.

On Friday (March 14), Williams, alongside healthcare advocate Ginalisa Monterroso, provided an eye-opening look into the origins of her guardianship and her hopes for the future during a candid interview with The View.

For the past few years, Williams has been under the supervision of a legal guardian after an incident involving suspicious activity in her bank account—later identified to have been caused by her son. Monterroso explained that the guardianship was initiated by Wells Fargo after they froze Williams’ bank account due to the unusual transactions.

“Wells Fargo froze the account and initiated a guardianship,” Moterroso explained. Initially, Williams didn’t mind the arrangement, believing it would provide protection for her finances.

“It was about my money and keeping my money safe,” Williams said. But as time passed, Williams began to feel the constraints of the guardianship.

“But at this point in my life, I want to terminate guardianship and move on with my life, if that’s possible at all,” Williams said.

However, the road to reclaiming her independence remains fraught with legal battles as a judge’s harsh words add to the growing tension.

“I didn’t realize that this person was going to take my whole entire life,” Williams shared, noting that the situation spiraled beyond her control.

What she had hoped would be temporary financial oversight turned into a life-altering experience. She described being moved from her New York home to a facility in Connecticut, where she was placed in a memory unit.

“It was horrible,” Williams said. “Nothing but grass and trees and a memory unit.” The situation worsened when her phone was taken, leaving her unable to contact family or friends.

“They took my phone, so I can’t call them,” Williams said. “I have to call them, they can’t call me.”

After a year in Connecticut, Williams was moved to another facility in New York, but she maintains that the experience remained the same.

“It’s the same thing,” Williams lamented, hinting at the emotional toll the guardianship had taken on her.

“I don’t want a guardian,” Williams said. “I want to get out of this. It’s been over three years, and it’s time for my money and my life to get back to status quo.”

When asked where she would go if her guardianship ended, Williams stated unequivocally that she plans to remain in New York.

“First of all, I’m staying in New York,” Williams said.

Williams also made it very clear that she does not want to continue living under the restrictions of a guardian, especially not her current one, Sabrina Morrisey.

“I don’t want Sabrina [Morrisey], period,” Williams said. “But I also, I don’t want guardians.”

However, Williams’s push for freedom faces a significant challenge, as Judge Lisa Sokoloff, who presides over her case, has made her frustrations clear. In a recent email to Williams’ attorney, the judge questioned how well Williams had handled the independence she was given, referencing a prior hearing where she ordered that Williams be moved to a different facility.

“I have always contended that [Wendy] will be given the independence she can handle,” Sokoloff wrote. “I question how well she has handled the independence she has been given.”

Sokoloff’s contempt for Williams’ media appearances only adds fuel to the fire. In the same email, the judge suggested even tighter restrictions if Williams continues to speak publicly.

“Tell your client that if she wants a jury, she should refrain from trying to poison the jury pool,” Sokoloff advised. The judge also made it clear that she was prepared to keep Williams in a facility against her will.

“The hospital wants to discharge her,” Sokoloff wrote. “Ms. Morrissey has facilities who, despite her behavior, are willing to assess her. She needs to go back to the Coterie until a new facility can be found.”

DDG Reveals He’s Had Contact With Son—Urges Fans To Cease “Think Pieces”

DDG Has provided an update on the ongoing saga with the mother of his child, Halle Bailey, whom he accused of keeping his son Halo away from him.

After weeks of public outcry and sharing a song accusing Halle Bailey of blocking his visitation rights, DDG has made an abrupt U-turn. The rapper and social media personality took to Twitch to announce that he had spoken to his son Halo, urging fans to stop with the speculation.

“Today off good y’all, I talked to my son this morning,” DDG said during his livestream. “All you parasocials, y’all can stop, y’all think pieces now. I talked to my son today, we’re good.”

As DDG continued, he dismissed the need for campaigns such as the “free Halo” slogan he himself popularized among his fan base amid the turmoil he faced with Bailey over their son.

“Can y’all stop saying free Halo?” he said. “Halo is free y’all, OK?”

This marks a stark contrast from DDG’s previous rhetoric, which saw him take his grievances to social media. Earlier this month, he previewed a track titled “Don’t Take My Son” in which he emotionally pleaded, “Don’t take my son because he’s all I got.” The song captures DDG openly accusing Bailey of keeping Halo from him, fueling online discourse that led many fans to rally behind DDG—pushing the phrase “Free Halo” across social media as a result.

Additionally, Trhe reversal comes after DDG previously claimed in a YouTube video titled “She Won’t Let Me See My So” that he had been restricted to just 72-hour visits and had not seen Halo for months. He even alleged that he had been repeatedly kicked out of Bailey’s home, expressing frustration over feeling like a “secondary parent.”

Watch the YouTube video DDG released discussing the matter above.

Accusations Against Police Chief & Diddy Crumble In One Day

Maui Police Chief John Pelletier is dismantling allegations connecting him to Hip-Hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs after releasing financial records he claims prove he was nowhere near California on the date in question.

A civil lawsuit had accused Pelletier of posing as a sheriff’s deputy in California to aid in an alleged gang rape cover-up involving Combs back in March 2018.

Pelletier, who served as a captain with Las Vegas Metro Police during that period, fiercely denied the accusations, labeling them “completely false.”

In a dramatic overnight twist, Pelletier presented financial evidence placing him hundreds of miles away in Las Vegas on March 23, 2018, the date cited in the lawsuit.

The detailed paper trail included credit card statements, bank records and receipts from establishments across Las Vegas—a barber shop, grocery stores, restaurants and even a local ATM, Hawaii News Now reports.

The police chief asserted the records “unequivocally” refute the lawsuit’s claims.

The controversy prompted Maui Mayor Richard Bissen to request that Pelletier take administrative leave pending an investigation, but Pelletier refused.

The civil suit also named NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. and comedian Druski as co-defendants who denied the allegations.

This development coincides with another high-profile collapse of allegations involving Diddy.

A Jane Doe plaintiff accused JAY-Z and Diddy of assaulting her in 2000 when she was 13.

The lawsuit was withdrawn with prejudice on February 14 after a secret recording surfaced. In the audio, Doe admitted JAY-Z had no involvement and claimed her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, pushed her to sue.

JAY-Z called the dismissal a “victory” and denounced the allegations as false. He and his attorney, Alex Spiro, have filed a defamation lawsuit against Doe and her legal team.

Buzbee, who has filed over 120 lawsuits against Diddy, denied coercion and dismissed the recording as fake.

Diddy Planning To Call Huge Amount Of Potential Jurors – More Than Trump Trial

Diddy aims to top Donald Trump’s jury pool numbers as he prepares to call a whopping 600 potential jurors to court in his upcoming criminal trial, setting the stage for another high-profile courtroom spectacle.

The Hip-Hop mogul, whose real name is Sean Combs, is facing serious federal allegations ranging from sexual misconduct and forced labor to drugging victims and making threats against careers and livelihoods.

Authorities even seized firearms with defaced serial numbers during raids on properties linked to Diddy.

In a strategic move reminiscent of Trump’s recent criminal trial jury selection, Diddy’s legal team has requested 300 potential jurors appear on May 5, 2025, followed by another 300 on May 6, to fill out detailed written questionnaires at the courthouse.

This massive pool of 600 jurors dwarfs the 500 summoned during Trump’s Manhattan trial, where the former president faced 34 felony counts related to falsifying business records to conceal hush money payments to Stormy Daniels.

Despite Trump’s large jury pool, the extensive selection process didn’t pan out well for the former president.

After weeks of intense questioning that saw more than half of the jurors dismissed for bias, Trump ultimately faced conviction on all counts in May 2024, becoming the first former U.S. president convicted of felony crimes.

Diddy’s attorneys hope a similarly expansive pool will grant them greater flexibility in selecting impartial jurors. They’ve also requested individual, sequestered questioning of jurors to avoid any undue influence, a practice standard in high-profile trials.

Prosecutors, meanwhile, are eager to start jury selection earlier—on April 21, 2025—to prevent trial delays. They claim their case alone will take approximately six weeks, with another two weeks set aside for the defense.

Diddy’s legal team counters that a May selection start is essential, arguing they still have “a tremendous amount of discovery to review and prepare in advance of trial.”

The federal charges against Diddy arose from a civil lawsuit brought by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, unleashing similar accusations against the Bad Boy founder.

He has denied all allegations and pleaded not guilty while proclaiming his innocence.

Diddy’s criminal trial is tentatively set to start on May 5 with jury selection, while opening statements will occur on May 13, 2025.

Kendrick Lamar Targets A$AP Relli In Explosive Verse On Playboi Carti Album

Kendrick Lamar ignited fresh controversy by taking aim at A$AP Relli on his fiery collaboration “Good Credit,” featured on Playboi Carti’s newly released MUSIC album.

Lamar dropped the line, “The emerald cuff for hers and his, that b#### on point like A$AP Relli.” The lyric appears to reference Relli’s role in the recent high-profile A$AP Rocky trial.

A$AP Relli recently testified against his former friend, accusing Rocky of firing shots at him during a heated confrontation in 2021.

Relli alleged Rocky threatened his life, pointed a firearm at his stomach and head and fired two shots, one allegedly grazing his hand.

Rocky, however, vehemently denied the allegations, with his defense attorneys insisting he carried only a prop gun loaded with blanks.

Jurors ultimately acquitted Rocky on two felony assault charges, sparing him a potential 24-year sentence.

Meanwhile, on “Good Credit,” Lamar also subtly reflects upon his feud with Drake, insisting he’s always been him.

“The numbers says nothing, the money is nothing,’ he raps. “I really been held my promise/Say Kenny been heavy out West and I carry the weight, n####, I’m Luka Dončić.”

In other Kendrick Lamar news, the Compton native is gearing up to embark on his highly anticipated Grand National Tour, co-headlined by SZA.

The tour, supporting Lamar’s sixth studio album “GNX,” kicks off April 19, 2025, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis and wraps Aug. 9, 2025, in Stockholm, Sweden, spanning 39 dates across North America and Europe.

Kanye West Has Thoughts About Kendrick Lamar Being On Playboi Carti’s Album

Playboi Carti finally delivered a new album on Friday (March 14). Titled MUSIC, the project boasts guest features by Travis Scott, Jhene Aiko, The Weeknd, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, Ty Dolla $ign, Skepta and Kendrick Lamar.

Kanye West, who is not on Carti’s album despite their collaborative history, had some thoughts about Lamar popping up on the project. Mere hours after the album arrived, West tweeted, “I DONT LIKE KENDRICK LAMARS MUSIC. HE RAPS VERY GOOD BUT I DIDNT NEED TO HEAR HIM ON CARTI ALBUM.”

The backhanded compliment, of course, received thousands of comments such as, “Ya catalog holding on for dear life next to Kendrick’s if we’re being honest. You gon have to make 3 more dark fantasy’s” and “Kendrick bar for bar is better than any rapper out—even you.”

Par for the course, there were several people who agreed with West’s take and wrote things like, “The worst person you know just made a great point” and “FIRST GOOD TAKE IN A MIN LMAOO.”

A rumor Kanye West had produced “Good Credit” featuring Kendrick Lamar proved to be false, even though it includes a sped-up sample akin to songs from 2004’s College Dropout.

Full credits for the album have yet to be posted. In fact, multiple last-minute tweaks were being made to the 30-track album that it missed the traditional midnight ET release time and didn’t arrive on DSPs until early Friday morning.

Playboi Carti’s relationship with Kanye West began with executive production on Carti’s 2020 effort, Whole Lotta Red, which included the notable track “Go2DaMoon.” They have since worked together on several projects, including tracks from Kanye’s albums Donda and Donda 2, as well as Carti’s recent music.

Top 5 Athletes Who Also Made It in the Music Industry

Athletes changing careers isn’t unusual—it’s a necessity in many cases. Sports like football, basketball, and athletics come with short career spans, and once an athlete’s peak years are over, the next step is usually figuring out what comes next. Some stay in the sports world, transitioning into coaching, punditry, management, or even professional sports betting, while others venture into an entirely different path, like business, acting, or entrepreneurship. However, there is a select few who don’t wait until retirement to explore new fields.

One unusual industry that has drawn quite a few sports stars is music. Over the years, several athletes have managed to carve out successful music careers, either during their time in sports or after retirement. This article explores five athletes who also made it in the music industry. But before we dive right in, you can check out this free IPL odds checker to find the best odds for IPL bets.

LiAngelo Ball

LiAngelo Ball first came into the limelight as part of the famous Ball family, playing alongside his brothers, Lonzo and LaMelo, at Chino Hills High School. That Chino Hills high school team, coached by their father, LaVar Ball,  is still considered the best team in the history of high school basketball to date. The team went undefeated in 35 games in 2016 and won the state championship.

Beyond his high school career, Gelo went on to play college basketball at UCLA, where he didn’t have a successful stint. After only featuring in one preseason game, he was suspended alongside two other freshmen following a shoplifting incident in China. Due to the suspension, Gelo was required to sit out NCAA basketball for a whole season. This led him to forgo NCAA basketball and instead pursue a professional career overseas, where he played for the Prienai in Lithuania and then in the NBA G League with the Greensboro Swarm.

Though basketball remained a passion, Gelo began exploring other opportunities, leading him to the music industry.  He made his official music debut in January 2025 with his single titled Tweaker, which quickly gained viral success. The track gained even more traction when a remix featuring Lil Wayne was released the following month. It debuted at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Gelo’s rapid rise in the music scene immediately caught the attention of major record labels, which led him to a record deal worth up to $13 million with Def Jam Recordings. Since then, he has released several tracks, including Law & Order and Can You Please?

Oscar De La Hoya

Oscar De La Hoya is a legendary boxer who enjoyed an illustrious career spanning 16 years. Nicknamed “The Golden Boy,” he won 11 world titles across six weight classes and secured lineal championships in three divisions. He also won a gold medal for Team USA in the 1992 Olympics.

In his prime, De La Hoya was recognized as the top pound-for-pound fighter by The Ring magazine in 1997 and 1998. He generated nearly $700 million in pay-per-view revenue, making him the sport’s top draw until Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao surpassed him.

While best known for his boxing accolades, De La Hoya also succeeded in the music industry. In 2000, he released a self-titled Latin pop album, which received a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Pop Album in 2001. Though he lost to Shakira, the album was a commercial success, eventually achieving platinum certification by the RIAA in 2006.

Despite its positive reception, De La Hoya never pursued a full-fledged music career beyond this debut. However, he returned to entertainment in 2021 by competing in The Masked Dancer, where he performed as “Zebra” and finished in fourth place.

Barry Zito

Barry Zito was a dominant left-handed pitcher who spent 15 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB), playing for the Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants. He was a three-time All-Star and played a crucial role in helping the Giants win the 2012 World Series. He also won the American League (AL) Young Award in 2002, among other accolades.

Zito’s talents, however, extended beyond baseball, as he also pursued a music career. In 2017, he released a six-song country EP titled No Secrets. Although the project was not overly popular, it helped him gain recognition in the music industry. This led him to other opportunities, including co-writing a song for an Eddie Murphy film. Zito also appeared on The Masked Singer as “Rhino” in 2020.

Bernie Williams

Bernie Williams enjoyed a stellar 16-year MLB career with the New York Yankees. As the team’s centre fielder, Williams played a crucial role in four World Series championship victories, earning a reputation for his clutch performances. He was also a five-time All-Star, a four-time Gold Glove winner, and even won the American League batting title in 1998. In fact, the Yankees retired his No. 51 jersey in honour of his achievements.

Beyond baseball, Bernie Williams is also an accomplished jazz guitarist. His passion for music during his playing career led him to release two jazz albums. His second album, Moving Forward, was the most successful, spending five weeks at No. 2 on Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Album chart. He even earned a Latin Grammy nomination for it in 2009.

Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard was selected as the sixth overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers. He made an immediate impact, winning the NBA Rookie of the Year award and quickly becoming the face of the franchise. Over his 11 seasons in Portland, he was named an NBA All-Star nine times, led the team to multiple playoff appearances, and became the franchise’s all-time leading scorer.

Lillard is playing for the Milwaukee Bucks after requesting a trade in 2023. He won the inaugural NBA Cup and the 2024 NBA All-Star Game MVP award with the Milwaukee Bucks. However, off the court, Lillard has also built a successful music career under the stage name Dame D.O.L.L.A. His music career started as a social media challenge. Now he has an album, The Letter O, which reached No. 7 on Billboard’s R&B and Hip-Hop Albums chart. After the album’s release, Lillard went on to collaborate with music icons like Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, and Ty Dolla $ign.

Conclusion

Transitioning from sports to music is no easy feat, but these athletes have proven that passion and talent can break boundaries. They didn’t just dabble in music—they made a real impact, getting Grammy nominations, charting on Billboard, and collaborating with the best names in the industry.

Teyana Taylor’s Momager Addresses Multi-Million Iman Shumpert Settlement Rumors

Teyana Taylor’s mother, Nikki Taylor, is questioning how details from her daughter’s sealed divorce case with Iman Shumpert suddenly surfaced online.

Teyana Taylor found herself at the center of swirling rumors this week after details leaked online about her high-profile divorce settlement with ex-husband Iman Shumpert. Now her mother and longtime manager, Nikki Taylor, is speaking out to set the record straight.

Speaking via “The Breakfast Club” co-host Loren LoRosa, Nikki Taylor didn’t mince words when questioning how sensitive details from a confidential, sealed case suddenly surfaced in headlines.

“It’s awful strange that the case is sealed, from a divorce that was finalized in July 1, 2024; but all of this information as to what she allegedly got is public this week?” Nikki Taylor stated.

She further expressed frustration at the narrative online, emphasizing fairness and accuracy.

“what about the other party received?” she asked. “Let’s be crystal clear, BOTH parties walked with the properties, vehicles and businesses that they obtained separately.”

According to the rumors, Taylor reportedly walked away from the marriage with a lavish payout, including four upscale residences collectively worth over $10 million, multiple high-end vehicles—a sleek $300,000 Maybach, a luxurious $70,000 Mercedes Sprinter, and a custom tour bus—as well as complete control of her businesses.

Shumpert, meanwhile, would pay $8,000 per month in child support and cover private school fees for their two daughters.

Teyana Taylor & Iman Shumpert Divorced After Eight Years Of Marriage

The couple agreed to co-parent amicably despite Taylor citing “cruel treatment” in her January 2023 divorce filing.

She explicitly stated at the time that infidelity played no role in their separation.

Meanwhile, Taylor has recently sparked dating rumors after being linked to actor Aaron Pierre.

The pair ignited speculation after posing together at an Oscars after-party. Taylor further fueled the gossip mill by sharing intimate black-and-white photos on Instagram.

Though neither has officially confirmed a romance, social media observers are buzzing about a potential new Hollywood couple.

Normani Floored By DK Metcalf’s Romantic Flower Surprise Proposal

Normani flashed some serious bling after Pittsburgh Steelers star DK Metcalf popped the question in Houston during an intimate family gathering on March 12.

The couple, whose romance blossomed thanks to matchmaking friends Ciara and Russell Wilson, made headlines after Metcalf orchestrated a floral treasure hunt ending with a heartfelt proposal.

The 27-year-old wide receiver, fresh off inking a reported five-year, $150 million contract with the Steelers, ensured the engagement announcement was as epic as the proposal.

“Hold that rock up, baby!” Metcalf playfully urged Normani at the March 13 press conference announcing his blockbuster trade to Pittsburgh.

Metcalf didn’t simply get down on one knee; he crafted an elaborate flower delivery, each bouquet accompanied by a chapter of their love story, culminating with an unforgettable final note: “Will you marry me?”

“I started sending her flowers with a story,” Metcalf revealed. “The last letter on the flower said, ‘Will you marry me?’ And she said yes.”

Normani, the former Fifth Harmony standout who skyrocketed to solo fame with hits like “Wild Side,” was caught off guard by the romantic gesture.

DK Metcalf Proposed To Normani In Front Of Their Families

The proposal occurred amid a casual gathering in Houston, strategically timed during Metcalf’s sister’s spring break to blend both families in celebration.

“My family and her family was in Houston,” Metcalf explained. “It was my sister’s spring break, and I just thought about getting the whole family together for a big kumbaya and joining our families with the ring.”

The singer and NFL star first crossed paths at one of Ciara’s star-studded soirées back in 2020. Still, sparks didn’t officially fly until June 2022, when they were seen sharing a cozy dinner at Santa Monica’s upscale Giorgio Baldi.

The private couple eventually went public on Instagram in July 2023, delighting followers with their affection-filled posts.

The happy couple showed off Normani’s dazzling engagement ring during a Facetime call with Ciara and Russell Wilson.
