She added, “Wow I got two Diamond records!” and tagged her collaborators on “Girls Like You,” Maroon 5. “Thank you sooo much @maroon5 for including me on this song,” Cardi B wrote. “This is the song I cater to my daughter every time I perform it. I’m forever grateful”
Wow I got two Diamond records! Thank you sooo much @maroon5 for including me on this song and this is the song I cater to my daughter every time I perform it.I’m forever grateful 🥲
Only one female artist, Katy Perry, has more than Cardi. The “I kissed A Girl” signer currently has 3 diamond singles. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga is tied with Cardi B for second place with 2 diamond records.
“Girls Like You” debuted at number 94 on the “Billboard Hot 100” and rose to number four following its first week after the video’s arrival. Notably, the huge jump, 90 positions, was one of the biggest ever. The single reached the No spot on its 17th charting week.
NBA YoungBoy’s innate talent and relentless drive continues to earn respect. Contrary, to concentrating on spins or on streams, the the Baton Rouge native is cultivating a domineering visual presence. His YouTube page boasts over 10 million loyal supporters. So, then, what’s the motivation behind all of the videos being removed from NBA YoungBoy’s YouTube channel?
Let’s dig deeper. For the years 2019 through 2021, NBA YoungBoy is the only Hip-Hop artist to have consecutive number one albums, this according to Billboard. The Top rapper’s, authentic artistry, has earned a historic distinction.
Next, don’t forget that last year, the Wall Street Journal championed his magnetic appeal. Tangible tales, often wrought by trauma, are welcomed by the public. Pain is the universal connector. Previously, only 11 videos were posted to his YouTube channel. The WSJ, contends that within a two two-year span that he had amassed over 100 million YouTube views. The publication then dubbed him as “the most viewed artist in the U.S.”
Now, let’s connect the dots. NBA YoungBoy is celebrated for personifying his lyricism. For some, it seems that his melanin-enriched existence, antagonizes their sense of reality. Could this be the case with YouTube? Recently, Alex Junnier — YoungBoy’s manager — blasted the video-sharing platform. He laments that the lack of support for Sincerely, Kentrell stemmed from “image” issues.
As of late, internet sleuths discovered the controversy. Thus far, the reigning explanation is that YoungBoy is planning something BIG. Just what could this be? His same YouTube page is teasing an anticipated release. On Friday (Dec 3), will his mixtape, From the Bayou actually drop? Birdman is set to contribute to this endeavor.
One last note, it is interesting how there is an array of YoungBoy videos on Facebook. This begs the question of what will become of YouTube and YoungBoy?
50 Cent has revealed that the theme song for his upcoming Power universe spinoff, “Power Book IV: Force” will have an authentic Chicago sound, with two of the city’s freshest talents on board.
50 Cent’s new series will follow Tommy as he “cut’s ties and puts New York in his rear-view mirror for good” and makes his way to Chicago. Fif’s theme songs have become an important part of his shows and this upcoming one looks set to be the same.

Cardi B was ordered to turn over herpes test results by a judge in her defamation case last week. However, according to Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, she already has.
As AllHipHop reported last week, Judge William M. Ray II ordered UCLA to hand over and HPV test-related documentation on Monday (Nov. 22). According to Cardi B, she turned over her results months ago.
The Atlantic Records artist made the claims in the comments section of an Instagram post from “NeighborhoodTalk.” “The test results been already turned in for 3 month’s already however her lawyers requested for all of my medical records which got denied by the judge!” Cardi B claimed. “Only herpes and hpv will be for the trial as judge requested!”
Cardi B shared that she will go to any lengths to prove the claims made against her by vlogger Tasha K. are untrue.
“And for the people who lack comprehension reason why I sued in the first place is because I wanted to publicly prove that these deceases and claims this woman made about me are false and I’m willing to do anything and everything to prove it. THANKS.”
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper sued the vlogger for defamation back in 2019 accusing Tasha K. of spreading lies about her, including one saying Cardi B has herpes. Cardi said she has already complied with the order and provided her results. Meanwhile, Tasha K. attempted to countersue, alleging Cardi ordered fans to send her death threats. However, the suit was dismissed.
Later, Cardi B and Kyle from “NeighborhoodTalk” got into it after Cardi objected to the post.
Music artist and influencer Pardyalone has been making music that goes deeper than making himself heard and becoming popular among music fans. He has been featured on numerous online magazines and news portals like Elevator, FutureHype, Promoting Sounds, and Masked Mortal. Pardyalone, whose real name is Kalvin, is relatively new to the industry, but he’s already made a huge impact, especially on younger listeners.
Pardyalone describes his music as being infused with art that is meant to portray a safe outlet for people struggling with brokenness, depression, and anxiety. As a person, he dealt with all of these things to identify with people currently experiencing this same set of things. This makes his music very effective, as he always adds a piece of himself to every note and lyric in his songs.
Pardyalone’s family made sure that he’d live a good life, but this took a toll on his mental health even as a young child. He already had a great sense of himself during his childhood, so he knew how empty life could feel without the freedom to express oneself. Pardyalone found music as a creative way of letting the world see his heart and soul. He honed his talent and fueled his passion for inspiring others to do the same.
From a small audience to reaching a worldwide following, Pardyalone’s music resonates with people on a universal level. With highly relatable music to offer, he captured the hearts of countless people on different music platforms. Pardyalone’s young discography, which deals with topics of love, heartbreaks, pessimism, and loss, gained huge support across Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Music, and YouTube.
Pardyalone stands out among his contemporaries because he uses visuals and fuses energy effectively into his music. While most artists focus on creative beats and shady lyrics, he chooses to make each of his songs an out-of-body experience. Pardyalone always wanted to make a new sound to inspire other young musicians to carve their own path.
Like any emerging artist’s story, Pardyalone had his share of challenges on his journey that almost made him decide to postpone his career. Once, there was a major flood in his area, which drowned most of his stuff inside his recording studio. He admitted that he felt helpless during these moments, but he chose to pick himself up. Pardyalone knew that he had to be on top of his emotions to keep going, so he did.
To solidify his music career, Pardyalone needed to move away from his hometown of Minnesota. Living in an entirely new society became a challenge to his mental toughness, but his very supportive mother helped him get through this stage. Pardyalone believes that no one can create a desirable environment to achieve their dreams but instead make the most out of what’s available.
As his career continues to flourish, Pardyalone plans to build a foundation for kids who struggle with mental health issues. He hopes his music can reach millions of people so he can make this dream a reality. Fans can check out Pardyalone’s Instagram page to learn more about his story and see the latest happenings in his career.
Meek Mill has announced plans to release the fifth installment in the “Dreamchasers” series, however, this drop is an innovative one.
The Philly hitmaker recently revealed that his forthcoming mixtape, “Dreamchasers 5,” will be available in the form of an NFT. Meek also shared the news that the fifth edition will be the final one in the collection of mixtapes.
Meek Mill told his followers on Instagram that the project would be available early next year as a non-fungible token (NFT). “How can they relate I’m too real n#%gas fake #DCPOUNDCAKE LAST DREAMCHASER MIXTAPE A NFT,” he wrote in the caption.

Meek Mill looked to be seeking more control over his finances as he continued to question where the money is going. “ask the record label? how much have you spent on me as a artist? then you ask how much have you made off me as a artist?” he Tweeted. “i’m about to make my record deal public by monday just to let the world see what these people on. Young Dolph’s death hasn’t stopped a woman from pursuing money from him in court.
According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Akeisha Norris submitted a motion for a default judgment in her lawsuit against the late rapper on Monday.
Last year, Norris sued Young Dolph for privacy/appropriation of likeness and intentional infliction of emotional distress. He shared a video of her twerking to one of his songs in 2018.
Norris, a former army sergeant, initially asked the court to render a default judgment in a filing on November 7. Young Dolph was shot and killed in Memphis on November 17.
Less than two weeks after Young Dolph’s murder, Norris preceded with her case. She wants the court to determine the amount of money she will be awarded in addition to legal costs, interest and attorney’s fees.
Norris accused Young Dolph of causing her distress when he posted a video of her twerking in uniform on his Instagram account. She said the clip made its way to her superiors at the Army National Guard, who disciplined her and eventually relieved her of duty as a sergeant.
In the lawsuit, Norris said this chain of events led to a mental breakdown. She claimed to suffer from PTSD after Young Dolph humiliated her by reposting the footage without her consent.
Norris filed the suit in a Georgia district court. Judge Michael L. Brown is presiding over the case.
Travis Scott has brought in a high-profile lawyer to represent him in the Astroworld Festival legal cases.
According to Texas Lawbook, Travis Scott hired Los Angeles trial lawyer Daniel Petrocelli to handle litigation regarding the tragic event. Last week, Petrocelli emailed attorneys for the plaintiffs to inform them about his hiring.
Petrocelli is the head of litigation for O’Melveny & Myers, a corporate law firm.
In 1997, Petrocelli represented the father of Ron Goldman in a wrongful death lawsuit against O.J. Simpson. Goldman’s family was awarded $8.5 million in the civil case.
Travis Scott is facing more than 120 wrongful death, personal injury and premises liability lawsuits stemming from the 2021 Astroworld Festival. Hundreds were injured at the event, which resulted in 10 deaths.
Petrocelli informed the plaintiffs’ lawyers that his client has offered to cover funeral costs for everyone who died in the Astroworld tragedy. Attorney Bob Hilliard, who’s representing the family of nine-year-old victim Ezra Blount, rejected the overture.
“Your client’s offer is declined,” Hilliard wrote in an emailed response to Petrocelli.
Travis Scott is just one of the multiple defendants in the Astroworld lawsuits. Live Nation, Apple and NRG Stadium are also named in the various complaints, which are seeking more $3 billion in damages.
R&B star Trey Songz continues to live up to his bad boy reputation – and it could land him in prison.
According to TMZ, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has opened an inquiry into Trey and an alleged sexual assault.
An unidentified victim claimed Trey, born Tremaine Neverson, pulled off the sexual assault at The Cosmopolitan.
It is unclear when the alleged assault took place. However, Trey was in town over the weekend to celebrate his 37th birthday at hotspot Drai’s Nightclub on Saturday.
It is an accusation that is not unfamiliar to the “Bottoms Up” hitmaker.
In January 2020, Trey was sued for $10 million by a Jane Doe accuser, who claimed the singer put his hand up her dress and attempted to insert his fingers into her v##### during a New Year’s Eve party in 2018.
A second woman claimed Trey Songz put his hands down her pants and rubbed her butt the same evening, but that accuser never pressed charges and dropped a civil suit against him.
Luckily for Trey Songz, he was never criminally prosecuted for that incident. However, he was forced to pay up over the January 1st, 2018 incident, which he eventually settled with Jane Doe for an undisclosed amount.
I usually stay quiet on this but I feel that in many ways the movement to fight for the women who actually have suffered harassment and abuse on various levels, has been hijacked by those who find it convenient for themselves to come up as they seek to destroy someone’s life.
“I usually stay quiet on this, but I feel that in many ways the movement to fight for the women who actually have suffered harassment and abuse on various levels, has been hijacked by those who find it convenient for themselves to come up as they seek to destroy someone’s life,” Trey Songz tweeted after the sordid claims surfaced.
Trey Songz is reportedly cooperating with authorities over the latest sexual assault allegation levied against him.

Fetty Wap’s federal drug case is on hold until 2022.
According to Rolling Stone, Fetty Wap agreed to a two-month delay at a court hearing on Monday. The delay provides time for the embattled rapper to negotiate a possible plea deal with prosecutors.
“We are starting plea discussions,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew P. Wenzel said at the hearing. “I think we’re all in agreement that a consent adjournment would be appropriate until February 2 for us to continue plea discussions and for the defendants to review discovery.”
Fetty Wap, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, was arrested by the FBI prior to his set at Rolling Loud New York on October 28. He spent nine days in jail before being granted a $500,000 bail on November 5.
The diamond-selling artist and five co-defendants are accused of distributing more than 100 kilograms of controlled substances – including cocaine, fentanyl and heroin – throughout New Jersey and Long Island.
Prosecutors say Fetty Wap was a “kilogram-level redistributor” in the scheme, which began in 2019. The drugs were allegedly purchased on the West Coast then transported to the East Coast for distribution.
Fetty Wap has pleaded not guilty to the charges. He and his co-defendants could be sentenced to life in prison if convicted.
Earlier today, Fetty Wap dropped a music video for his latest song “First Day Out,” where he alludes to his drug case and how he almost went “diamond in the trap.”
Common and Tiffany Haddish are no longer dating, according to People magazine.
The celebrity couple reportedly broke up over career conflicts. A source claimed Common and Haddish couldn’t spend enough time together to maintain a relationship.
“They are never in the same city together and both of them are just too busy for a serious relationship,” the source said.
Common and Haddish began dating in 2020. The two met while filming the movie The Kitchen, which was released in 2019.
After striking up a friendship on set, Common and Haddish went on a virtual Bumble date in April 2020. A romance developed soon after, prompting them to quarantine together amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a December 2020 interview with People magazine, Haddish credited Common for embracing their time apart. The comedian said the separation made it more special when they were together.
“I need space,” she explained. “I like to be able to create whatever I’m trying to create, and if I’m with somebody, I want to focus on them a lot and it can become a distraction. That’s also what I like about him. He’s like, ‘If you need to go, you can go. I’m not trying to hold you back.’”
Apparently, that wasn’t sustainable as Common and Haddish decided to call it quits a year later.
Dreamville songstress Ari Lennox was arrested on Monday, November 29th, in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The “Shea Butter Baby” artists contends that she was racially profiled by the Dutch military police.
According to Reuters, police shared that Lennox was detained for being drunk and acting aggressively toward an airline employee at the Schiphol Airport.
While the authorities were forthcoming with her charges, they did not share when she would be released, stating that an investigation has to take place before that decision is made.
Robert van Kapel, the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee spokesperson, said, “Our unit found a woman full of emotions, that wouldn’t calm down. That’s why she had to be taken into custody.”
The singer took to social media to criticize the airport’s security and to insert her voice before the arrest.
Her first tweet stated, “ F### Amsterdam security. They hate black people.”
Then, she revealed the news to her fans. She was getting cuffed and detained.
“They’re arresting me,” she tweeted before adding in a clarifying statement on why she believed she was being detained. “I’m being arrested in Amsterdam for reacting to a woman racially profiling me.”
“King Cobra” is the infectious and braggadocious new single from Trinidadian rap artist and entrepreneurYEARWOOD, taken from his highly anticipated debut EP titled Animal Farm that is set to be released next year.
The single comes on the back of the powerful protest song “Black Panther,” which Yearwood released this summer to coincide with the 100-year anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921 and to highlight the current systemic racism that is still rife in the United States.
Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, real name Daniel Yearwood performs under the stage name of Yearwood. He describes himself as “a professional investor for over a decade, venture backed startup founder, currently living in the city of LA.”
In sharp contrast to the serious political theme of “Black Panther,” “King Cobra” sees Yearwood offering a light-hearted and tongue-in-cheek element to his artistry that fans and critics alike will appreciate.
AllHipHop: Your new single “King Cobra” and the one before are named after animals, how did you choose the animals?
Yearwood: It was a semi-random process, to be honest. I tried to pick animals that I thought would spark interesting songwriting that was somewhat connected to the name, even if I didn’t explicitly reference the name of the animal. For example in my previous single “Black Panther,” where I don’t mention those two words in the lyrics anywhere, but obviously the connotation to the Black Panther Party would give a potential listener a preview of the BLM/racial protest nature of the subject matter. There were a couple attempts that didn’t work out as well. I tried to stick to only 7 tracks on the project, although I wrote about 15 songs and recorded 10. Might release some of the ones that aren’t on the final tracklist at a later date or maybe steal some punchlines from myself for other songs.
AllHipHop: What’s been your favorite part about working on “King Cobra” and your upcoming EP “Animal Farm?”
Yearwood: If you compare King Cobra to the 5 songs that I’ve previously released videos for on YouTube, it’s a lot more lighthearted than the others so I felt a lot less pressure. Again to compare it to “Black Panther,” even though I obviously have a personal opinion on the BLM movement and issues of racial justice, there was a certain editorial element I felt was required with respect to accurately representing US history, the history of race relations, and the Tulsa Massacre. Another prior song, “Nutten Wit We,” was a love song for my wife — which is our wedding song. In the video,
I use footage of my surprise proposal to her. I only had one shot at making sure that song came out right, and that she’d love it. I can make other songs for her in the future, but there will only ever be one wedding song. With “King Cobra” and all the other songs on A*nimal Farm *aside from “Black Panther,” there was a lot more freedom and less pressure in that respect, which also gave me the chance to experiment and try new things.
AllHipHop: “Black Panther” communicates a strong message of systematic racism and strong political messages. What influenced you to change your style with “King Cobra”?
Yearwood: Chronologically, I wrote “King Cobra” before “Black Panther,” and my initial plan was to have “Black Panther” be the last single released from the Animal Farm project instead of the first. I figured I’d have initially started building a reputation for making fun/party songs, then people would have interpreted “Black Panther” as a pivot to a topic that was more serious. Timing-wise, both with respect to recording the music/shooting the videos and my commitments to other things, it became clear to me that I wouldn’t have gotten all the other singles out soon enough — while still keeping “Black Panther” to a May 31st 2021 release date, which was extremely important to me as it was the 100 year anniversary of the Tulsa Massacre.
“King Cobra” is more representative of my style and what the other songs on this project sound like. “Black Panther” was a bit of a departure, again influenced by what has been happening in the US in recent years with respect to the BLM movement and the Tulsa Massacre anniversary.
AllHipHop: Did you have any music inspiration for your new track?
Yearwood: For this track in particular, I’d say it was a spark I got once I heard the beat. Alfaro Beats, who also produced another song on this project entitled Scarlet Ibis, totally killed this in my opinion,. Once I first heard it, I started writing “King Cobra” immediately, before I even bought it from him.
AllHipHop: From going from Wharton School to Harvard University to now making music, what caused your drastic change in career path?
Yearwood: Making music was definitely not in my original plan! Back in college, my roommate and I used to play this game where we’d freestyle in character as our favorite rappers, most often DMX. Years later, he started recording music professionally. We ended up starting this friendly competition where we’d record voice note freestyles over random instrumentals and send them to each other. This process eventually sparked my curiosity to begin recording music in a professional studio which I first did in September 2016.
While definitely a departure from my career as an investor, I’ve always had a strong interest in trying new things and expanding my horizons. The 3 degrees I have are all in different, unrelated areas but they’re pretty complementary. Similarly, I see my music career as more of an extension into a new complementary area, rather than a drastic career change. Aside from recording music, I still do continue to invest professionally so all my prior years of schooling and career experience are still being put to good use.
AllHipHop: What would you recommend to someone who might be thinking about changing their life course as you did?
Yearwood: It’s about finding the right balance between “following your passion” and not starving to death. I’m a big advocate for experimentation, testing the waters and trying new things. Life is too short to spend it wondering what could have been if you hadn’t tried something you’d always wanted to. The reality is, especially for people of color or immigrants, we often have responsibilities like younger siblings/parents/family members to take care of that limit the amount of money we could spend or forgo by exploring new things before they become income generating. Acquiring knowledge is often the first step, and today you can do that on just about any topic online either for free or very low cost, so that’s always a good place to start.
AllHipHop: How do you incorporate your Caribbean influence in your music?
Yearwood: It varies from song to song. In my rap, sometimes you hear it in the accent. Other times it might be the use of West Indian slang. Other times, it might be in the references I use in my punch lines. “King Cobra” might have elements of all 3. I have other songs that I haven’t put out yet that sonically have a heavier Caribbean influence. On those, I definitely fall into the respective genres I lean into there. Growing up listening to as much dancehall and soca as I did, it’s hard not to dabble in the space, even if they aren’t the main types of music I make.
AllHipHop: What does “King Cobra” represent?
Yearwood: The song is a foray into what I consider to be more familiar territory thematically, and perhaps more accessible material for the average listener, relative to all of my prior releases, so I’m excited to see what people think about it and the feedback from the general public. In terms of a more specific definition of “King Cobra” within the context of the song, the last line of the second verse sums that up.
AllHipHop: What artists inspire you the most and how have you incorporated some of their styles into your own music?
IYearwood: grew up on DMX, JAY Z and a lot of rappers from the late 90’s/early 2000’s where lyricism, wordplay and flow were very important. Outside of rap, Vybz Kartel is also a huge influence. Throughout college, I’d listen through every riddim that he hopped on. I also listen to a lot of newer artists that create music that’s more based on a mood or vibe that might be a bit more melodic and spontaneous in nature. Depending on the nature of the song I’m making, I think about how important the different elements are to the final product, but there’s probably a minimum level of lyricism that I feel any song I make needs to have.
AllHipHop: What kind of experience do you want your listeners to take away from your upcoming EP?
Yearwood: Overall, the project conveys a lot about who I am, the things that are important to me, things I’ve experienced good and bad. Listening to the project start to finish, I hope listeners would not only have an enjoyable sonic experience, but hopefully learn a bit more about my story to check out the other things I have coming down the line. I’ve already started working on the next two bodies of work that will come after this one. I’m still early enough in my career that I still have a lot to learn, other dope artists and producers to meet and collaborate with, that my best music is still yet to come.

A post on his Instagram page confirmed the sad news, explaining Abloh had been battling a rare, aggressive form of cancer for more than two years.
“He chose to endure his battle privately since his diagnosis in 2019, undergoing numerous challenging treatments, all while helming several significant institutions that span fashion, art, and culture,” the statement read.
“Through it all, his work ethic, infinite curiosity, and optimism never wavered. Virgil was driven by his dedication to his craft and to his mission to open doors for others and create pathways for greater equality in art and design. He often said, ‘Everything I do is for the 17-year-old version of myself’, believing deeply in the power of art to inspire future generations.”
Abloh founded streetwear label Off-White and served as Kanye West’s longtime creative director before becoming Louis Vuitton’s first black artistic director, styling the likes of Rihanna and Hailey Bieber, who responded to the sad news by posting a photo of herself with Abloh on her wedding day.
Paying her respects to the man she commissioned to design her gown, she wrote: “Virgil completely changed the way I looked at street style and fashion, the way he looked at things inspired me deeply. I will never be able to fully express how grateful I am to have known him and worked with him, from walking on his runways to having him design my wedding dress and all the other amazing moments in between, I felt he was always rooting for me.
“He was someone who always brought life, charisma, love and fun to any situation, and every room he walked into. A once in a generation creative mind that is so rare and I’ll never forget his impact. We love you Virgil.”
Meanwhile, Pharrell Williams and designer Marc Jacobs are also paid their respects to Abloh.
“My heart is broken,” the producer and hitmaker has tweeted. “Virgil you were a kind, generous, thoughtful creative genius. Your work as a human and your work as a spiritual being will live forever. Sending love and light to your wife, children, family and day ones you’re with the Master now, shine.”

“I am so sorry to read this,” Jacobs added. “My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. May you Rest in Peace and Power dear Virgil.”
Actress Jodie Turner-Smith also responded to the sad news of Abloh’s death, tweeting: “truly, f### CANCER,” and there have also been messages on social media from Questlove, Idris Elba, Finneas, Riz Ahmed, and Scooter Braun.
The performance was livestreamed at dondalive.com on Sunday afternoon, shortly after West shared the link on his Instagram Story.
Reworking the first verse, the choir members sang, “I know your love flows like a river/And I could wash myself in it forever/I know there is hope in these waters/But I can’t bring myself to swim/When I am drowning in my sin…”
They added, “Go easy on me, father/I am still your child/And I need a chance to/Feel your love around.”
“In loving memory of Virgil Abloh, the creative director of Donda,” a message on the screen read.”
Gigi Hadid also gave a heartfelt tribute to late fashion visionary Virgil Abloh.
The model took to Instagram to pay her respects, explaining she was “heartbroken” by the loss of “my dear friend.”
Calling Abloh “a friend to the world” Gigi added, “He was 1 of 1.
“His kindness and energetic generosity left a lasting impression on every life he touched – he made everyone feel seen and special. He will be deeply missed, cherished, and celebrated by me and all the people and industries that have been lucky enough to work around & know the true supernova behind this man.
“I picture him now like our Mickey Mouse… forever with us, forever adored, forever magical, forever guiding us with that special Virgil FUN; I’m sure that’s how he wanted to be remembered, but still it will never be the same without him in the room.”
Hadid also posted a photo slideshow of herself with the late fashion guru, and added: “You will continue to inspire me every day, V. I feel blessed and honored by every moment. Rest Easy, my friend. You are so loved. You were the difference. As we always said… ‘See you somewhere, soon’.
“Sending my deepest condolences, light, and strength to (Abloh’s wife) Shannon, their kids, and his whole family.”
Drake, Offset, Busta Rhymes, and Bruno Mars have also added their tributes to Abloh via social media.
“My plan is to touch the sky 1000 more times for you… love you eternally brother thank you for everything,” Drake captioned photos on Instagram of himself with Abloh, while Timberlake added: “What can you say when a force like @virgilabloh is taken too soon? You gave the world so much, in so little time. And created with intensity… knowing better than the rest of us that life is short, but anything is possible. I’m honored to have known you. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.”

DJ K Yung is a female DJ hailing from the Quad Cities (Illinois/Iowa). She was born in Seoul South Korea and adopted by parents from Minnesota. She is a guest on-air mixer on The Drive on Shade 45 once a month on SiriusXM highlighting some of the best unknown and industry artists from the Midwest. She is the weekly mix show DJ on SiriusXM FLY “House Party” every Wednesday from 5-7 pm est on Channel 47 playing the best in hip hop, rap, and r&b from the ’90s and 2000s.
Getting her start back in 2007, she became inspired to have a career in entertainment after a friend of hers tried out for Diddy’s “Making The Band” while in college. Watching from behind the scene intrigued her mind, and she never thought about doing anything outside of music.
Having such a diverse upbringing, K Yung draws influence from many places. When asked who are some of the DJ’s she looks up to she responded “I look up to a ton of DJs, locally and on a national industry level, its hard to just name names because I’ve been fortunate enough to have in some capacity a little engagement with some of my favorite DJs.
I owe my career and start to St. Louis legend, DJ Scratch Master Dee who was the first dj to ever give me a chance. DJ Dolla was a huge part of my career as he was the one who taught me how to mix, and DJ Powder, a female DJ, introduced me to radio. Those three deserve all the credit. Female DJs were a dime a dozen when I started, so I looked up to the Jazzy Joyce’s, Cocoa Chanell’s, DJ K-Sly, and a few other female DJs because at the time they were THEE ONE AND ONLY.”
What makes DJ K Yung so unique as a DJ is her original DJing style. She is a traditionally taught DJ who learned how to DJ on turntables and vinyls and over time learned how to evolve her skills as new advanced technology became available. She describes her style as “old school” because she is very much still a 2 channel mixer as today’s disco jockey’s generally used 4 channel controls. Determined to make a difference in the world through her raw talent she plans to show the music industry that women like herself can be major influences on all genres of music just like her male counterparts.
“ We can break artists, records, build brands, be creative and trendsetters in this still male-dominated business” stated Yung. I want to show that a woman who owns her own music company can be a force to be reckoned with and can stand toe to toe with anyone all the while not having to use sex to sell the fact that I am motivated, drive, and focused on being someone in the business.
As DJ K Yung is currently the “play by play” host for an international motorsports company and has been seen on a segment of “The Ellen Show”, NBCSports, and also heard on The Bradshaw Bunch she continues to take her talents to new heights one opportunity at a time. Being sponsored by Luc Belaire Champagne and Clique Vodka Atlanta her influence is spreading far beyond just Djing. She is the Sr.
A&R at The Stachehaus (KMG/Sony/The Orchard) and owns her own management, distribution, and music tech company called Local Traffic Only. She has plans on expanding Local Traffic Only to a Latin division with her amazing team (Cory Ewing, DJ Reality, Rachel Vasquez, Hannah Rosenbaum, Bert Johnson, DJ Bryan Lee, Juan Vasquez, Ariana Savala). You can stay up to date with all things DJ K Yung by following her on social media @djkyung on twitter and instagram.
He’s a rapper, record label professional, and music business executive. But Lil Wayne is also a father.
As we are, of course, aware, there are plenty of men who have “baby mama drama” with just one baby mama. The fact that Lil Wayne has four children with four baby mamas, and there’s absolutely no drama, is something that’s nothing short of a miracle. And the fact that his rumored new wife, Denise Bidot, is also drama-free when it comes to his children is an even bigger miracle.
But while people are quick to cast aspersions on Weezy Baby for the way he lives his life, the “Fireman” rapper had a completely different take. “I don’t think what people think should be any concern of anybody’s,” he said to Ozone back in 2010. “It’s definitely not a concern of mine. I’d be crazy if it was and you’re crazy if you are. But that goes back to me not caring about what people think or say. They wanna be [baby mama] number five, six, and seven, so.”
Let’s take a look at everything we know about his four children.
Reginae Carter – The Only Daughter of Lil Wayne
Reginae Carter is not only the oldest child of Lil Wayne, but she’s his only daughter.
Born in 1998, when Lil Wayne was just 16 years old, Reginae was named after the rapper’s stepfather, Reginald, who had a positive impact on his life as he was growing up. Reginald, unfortunately, passed away before he could ever meet any of Wayne’s children.
“She used to be a member of the teenage R&B girl group called the OMG Girlz, but left in 2010,” reports the rapper’s old fansite. “Nae Nae (her nickname) has also released a book about having a celebrity father with Birdman’s daughter, Bria Williams, that was called Paparazzi Princesses.”
As of this writing, Reginae graduated Clark Atlanta University grad follows in her parents’ footsteps as an actress, musician, and author, according to HollywoodLife. Her film credits include Dear Santa, I Need a Date and Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta, while her TV credits include Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta and T.I. and Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle, which her mother also stars in.
Speaking of her mother, Reginae’s mother is Toya Wright, who was the high school sweetheart of Lil Wayne. She is also his first, and to date only, wife. However, they were only married for two years before calling it quits in 2006. Despite their romantic relationship not working out, the pair are still close friends to this day.
Born on October 22, 2008, Dwayne Carter III is Lil Wayne’s eldest son, whom he shares with former radio host Sarah Vivian. The nature of their relationship was never fully confirmed, but it’s safe to say that Sarah — like Toya — is still friends with her baby daddy, and they co-parent their son effectively. Sarah, however, doesn’t court the spotlight, though she frequently shares photos of Dwayne Carter III and her daughter from a previous relationship on her social media pages.
Born on September 9, 2009, Kameron Carter is the product of Lauren London’s on-again, off-again relationship with Lil Wayne. (Through his mother, Kameron’s half-brother is Kross Ermias Asghedom, whose father is the late, great Nipsey Hussle.) “We were in a relationship that didn’t make it,” Lauren told Essence in October 2020. “We tried more than once to revive it, and we were engaged briefly years ago, but we eventually parted ways. My son’s father is an intelligent, loving, and lovable person who will always be a dear friend.”
Born on November 30, 2009, Neal Carter’s birth was marked by the fact that his mother, Nivea, was pregnant by Lil Wayne at the same time as Lauren London was. (He’s only two months younger than Kameron Carter.) Nevertheless, today, Nivea gets along with Lil Wayne and all his baby mamas, too. But, admittedly, it took a long time, since Nivea left music to be with Lil Wayne — only for him to turn around and marry Toya in response.

D’vo – “Evolution Of Hip Hop” – Evolution of Hip Hop is a conscious track that blends classic hip hop with that new school vibe addressing some of the issues with Hip Hop music today. The things that we find entertaining in Hip Hop are also some of the things that are programming our future to praise and idolize the wrong things. It was bad before with violence, drugs, and sex but it has gone to another level reprogramming our kid’s nature. The musical tribute is perfectly fitting as it shares how Hip Hop has evolved over time and is evolving right before our ears as the message comes in reminding listeners, musicians, and people that have the power to make a difference to put God and His eternal serenity in Heaven First. “This is life or death, all that is Heavenly” God Bless. | IG: @Nerdlifebydvo

Liking the name , Keishh decided to customize the moniker and run with it. When asked what pushed her into music in the first place, Ms. Carr makes it clear that it was her father that initially embraced the music vision; having a background in music himself.
A music career is a dream that she and her father began pursuing together upon his release from prison, making it not only her dream, but a vision that they both would share. Shikiba’s world would soon be turned upside down with the unexpected passing of her father, and what seemed to be the end of the dream that they had started together. Although taken back, Keishh decided to not let this end her, instead, she uses this tragedy to fuel her passion and strive even harder toward the goal that she & her late – father had set. “It would’ve been selfish of me to give up after my father passed, I have to keep going.” With mind, body, and spirit set to attack the goal at hand, Keishh transforms from the young aspiring nurse that likes to rap, to “Da Don”, an artist whose voice & presence is felt in a mob-like manner. | IG: @officialkeishh
