Tory Lanez Donates Life Saving Supplies To Haitian Immigrants At Texas Border

Rap star Tory Lanez continues his streak of charitable giving to those in need.

The rapper took time out of his busy schedule to head to Del Rio, Texas, to witness the Haitian border crisis first hand.

According to reports, up to 30,000 Haitians, who fled their native country for South America, have been detained or expelled from the United States.

The Haitian migrants fled the island for various reasons, including devastating earthquakes, hurricanes, and political instability, after President Jovenel Moise was assassinated by mercenaries on July 7th, 2021.

Images of white border patrol agents on horseback corraling black Haitians and using what appeared to be whips also sparked widespread outrage.

So far, the Biden administration has sent 2,000 Haitians back to the country, while another 8,000 have been expelled to Mexico.

According to reports, about 12,000 migrants are still lingering at the border seeking asylum in the United States.

Tory Lanez popped up to a chaotic scene, but he was still undeterred. The Canadian brought about $50,000 worth of supplies for those still being detained in a camp.

Tory handed out blankets, towels, and other supplies to help the refugees, whose futures remain in limbo.

Last month in September, Tory Lanez popped up in Baltimore, where he went to a local Target and spent $50,000 purchasing clothes for the needy and less fortunate.

The rapper also gave out $50,000 to Unite The People to assist several families in Long Beach, California, gather funds to bail out their loved ones.

Boosie Banned From Legendz of the Streetz Tour Dates; Cops Investigating Brawl

Atlanta police are investigating Boosie, who is accused of damaging valuable equipment at the State Farm Arena during the fight on October 1.

The rapper was about 2 minutes into his set when a man emerged from the DJ booth and started fighting with someone in Boosie’s entourage.

The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, joined in the tussle, and soon all hell broke loose on the stage.

During the fracas, Boosie and his crew allegedly damaged audio equipment and speakers.

So far, there are no reports of injuries or arrests, although Boosie’s bodyguard was captured on video being handcuffed and led out of the arena.

Promoters canceled the remainder of the concert, but thankfully the headliners like Jeezy, Gucci mane, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, and most of the other acts on the bill had already performed.

Boosie was shoehorned in towards the end of the concert because he was late, according to reports.

Thankfully, last night’s legends of the streets tour stop in Greensboro, North Carolina, took place without incident – but Boosie was not allowed to perform, even though he was in Greensboro and ready to hit the stage.

The rapper vowed that he would be on the stage tonight (October 3rd) when the tour stops in Baltimore, Maryland, even though he claims promoters are attempting to ban him from the Legendz of the Streetz Tour.

“They not letting me perform in Baltimore neither,” Boosie explained while getting a haircut. “But I’m going to be in Baltimore you got me f##### up if you think I ain’t in Baltimore. I mean that. I’m in them bricks you best believe that.”

Lil Nas X Shocked By Dolly Parton’s Response To “Jolene” Remake

Dolly Parton was “honored and flattered” that Lil Nas X covered her hit song “Jolene” during a recent radio performance.

The “Montero” rapper delivered his own take on the signature 1973 track for BBC Radio One’s “Live Lounge,” telling NME: “I chose this because I feel like this song is kind of beautifully sad. I like the little country twang, so I was like, ‘Let me try this out’.”

Now, Dolly has responded to the performance, insisting she was thrilled with his interpretation of the classic tune.

“I was so excited when someone told me that Lil Nas X had done my song ‘Jolene’. I had to find it and listen to it immediately… and it’s really, really good,” Dolly wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture of herself and the Old Town Road star posing backstage at an event.

“Of course, I love him anyway. I was surprised and I’m honored and flattered. I hope he does good for both of us. Thank you @lilnasx.”

Lil Nas X then re-posted Dolly’s message on his Instagram page, writing: “H########.”

“The Bodyguard” Writer Explains Why A Latina Will Be The Star Of Remake

The brains behind “The Bodyguard” remake wants to make sure the new film features a Latina protagonist.

Writer Matthew Lopez told movie bosses he’d like the woman taking on Whitney Houston’s most famous film role to be a Latina when he signed on for the project.

The history-making Tony Award-winning “The Inheritance” playwright tells Variety, “When Warner Bros. approached me about the idea, I quickly said I would (do it) but I wanted the protagonist to be Latina. They agreed to that.

“There’s been a lot of speculation about what I’d bring to the remake and some people were assuming that there’d be a gay storyline to it. Instead of focusing on an established star like the one Whitney Houston played, this is about a young Latina performer who has just become famous.

“It’s about how her life has changed because she is an overnight sensation. In the 21st century, that means she’s in immediate need of protection. It was important to me to use this opportunity to get Latin faces up on that screen and to get their stories told in a big way.”

His comments end all the online speculation about which hip-hop or R&B star will take on the role Houston created for the hit 1992 film, with Cardi B and Beyonce among the names favored by fans.

KRS-One Vs. Big Daddy Kane Next Up On Verzuz— Even Though The Bronx Native Wanted Nas

Verzuz has pulled another epic battle out of the twisted but so brilliant minds of producers Timbaland and Swizz Beatz. The next two-on-two contest that they have pulled together is KRS-One and Big Daddy Kane, two rap giants from Hip-Hop’s Golden Era and a battle that AllHipHop.com was first to push.

The battle will take place on Sunday, October 17th at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center.

The news was made public on the Verzuz’ official Instagram profile.

It is captioned as follows:

“WANNA PLAY? We got a new VERZUZ on the way Sunday, October 17th, brought to you by the killer new series, #Chucky. Who do y’all think it is!? Drop your guesses in the comments below and we’ll pick an entry at random to get a pair of tix! And don’t miss the series premiere starring @ChuckyIsReal on October 12th on @USA_Network and @SYFY.”

This should be interesting as both of them were in rival crews back in the day. Big Daddy Kane burst on the scene as an anchor in the multi-talented Juice Crew.

The squad’s leader MC Shan made a record in 1987 called “The Bridge” that made some people think that Queensbridge started Hip-Hop.

Bronx native KRS-One was one of those that challenged that “narrative” and blasted him with “The Bridge Is Over,” a record he made with his crew Boogie Down Productions. This started years of animosity between both posses.

However, when it came down to Kane and KRS, they were always cool and didn’t let the beef get in the way of their friendships. Despite their friendship, Kane always said that he wanted to battle KRS. Check out this interview with AllHipHop.com where he admitted that he wants him in a Verzuz battle. He also talked about the beef between BDP and the Juice Crew.

Earlier this year, KRS told AllHipHop.com that he would not battle anyone because all (save one) can’t rock with him on the mic. But he did get excited when Chuck Creekmur, the CEO of AllHipHop.com suggested Big Daddy Kane as conversations about the two battling have been in the air since the 1990s.

“I will demolish … obliterate … you ain’t messing with my 23 album catalog and I just wrote two more,” KRS shared before declaring that LL Cool J is not only his level. “The word is destroy … I do-s this mic thing. I don’t play no actor. I don’t have no companies. I don’t have no clothing lines. I don’t have none of that. All I think about all day is how to ruin emcees lives. That’s what I’m on as an emcee.”

“So with these Verzuz … who is gonna battle KRS-One?”

Creekmur said, “I’ll tell you who … Big Daddy Kane!”

“He got two albums. Sorry, Kane,” was The Philosopher’s rebuttal. “We ain’t heard from Kane in 20 years and Kane is my dog too. You know that’s my man. I want to do an album with Kane and Kane declined.”

“Kane been saying for years that he wanted to battle KRS-One … Ok … if that’s what you think.”

He even told a story about Kane proposing a battle that would be a hybrid of recorded music and freestyles. KRS asked the Brooklyn native, “You sure you want to do this?”

To which Kane replied, “I ain’t scared of you.”

KRS warned all of emcees around, “Don’t play with fire. I am Hip-Hop.” He did concede that he would battle Nas because “Illmatic was better than Criminal Minded” and his catalog could compete.

But let’s see how friendly they will be in the next week.

Lil Nas Implies Being ‘Gay’ Isn’t Fun Any More And He Misses Women

Lil Nas X is trolling again. The megastar and proud LGBTQ+ advocate takes to social media to imply he might not be as gay as he thought.

In what would be a magical reversal in nature and branding, the most outspoken gay in Hip-Hop took to Twitter to say, “this gay s### was fun at first. i miss p#### now.”

He later followed up with another tweet saying, “nevermind he texted back.”

Fans and supporters on the spectrum have celebrated the rapper’s boldness around his sexuality, even as he has ruffled feathers with his constant games and trolling.

During his 2021 performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, he performed two of his hit songs “Industry Baby” into “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name).”  To punctuate awareness for HIV/AIDS, he highlighted an activist named Mardrequs Harris from the Southern AIDS Coalition to remind the world that there are still people living with the disease.

@LilNasX delivered a powerful performance at the #VMAs and shined a spotlight on the stigma that fuels HIV, especially across the South. Mardrequs Harris from

@SouthernAIDSCo wore the number 433,816 in red, representing the number of people living with HIV in the U.S. South.”

This was the biggest statement Lil Nas X has made regarding HIV/AIDS and its impact on the rainbow community. This was important, particularly after DaBaby’s summer rant that reinforced and put out a lot of negative stereotypes about gays and the disease.

Mac Miller’s Drug Dealer Tried To Get Out Of Prison To Attend Grandad’s Funeral

One of the drug dealers accused of selling Mac Miller pills laced with fentanyl was hoping to be released from prison – temporarily.

Mac Miller died on September 7, 2018, after ingesting counterfeit oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl.

The Pittsburgh rapper was buying the drugs in Los Angeles from Cameron James Pettit. Pettit was allegedly receiving his drugs from two sources: Stephen Walter and Ryan Reavis.

All three men are charged with the distribution of fentanyl resulting in death. They face mandatory minimums of 20 years and a maximum of life in prison.

Earlier this week, Cameron James Pettit filed a motion to be temporarily released from prison to travel to his grandfather’s memorial service in Portola Valley, California.

Pettit’s grandfather Noble Hancock recently died at the age of 99 years old. Pettit was hoping to attend the memorial service from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. today (October 2).

His parents even put up a $50,000 bond each to facilitate the request in hopes of convincing a judge that their son would return to prison without incident.

However, Pettit can forget about seeing his grandfather off. US District Judge Otis Wright shut down Pettit’s request after the government objected.

Even though he would have been released to a US Marshal, the government was worried Pettit would still attempt to flee.

After Pettit found out about Mac Miller’s death in September of 2018, he sent messages on Instagram to a friend saying he wanted to “get off the grid” and move to another country – preferably Stockholm, Sweden.

According to the government, Pettit, who already admitted to selling the counterfeit pills to Mac, has a real incentive to flee since he faces a life sentence.

Furthermore, Pettit remains a danger to the community, and they do not want him bringing COVID-19 back to the Metropolitan Detention Center.

Pettit, Walter, and Reavis are scheduled to stand trial for Mac Miller’s death on November 16, 2021.

Mary J. Blige Planning First Album In Four Years

Mary J. Blige has teased that her first album in four years is set to be released in November.

The music icon teased during an Instagram Live with DJ-and-rapper D-Nice that the delayed record is finally coming out this winter, marking her first studio effort since 2017’s Strength of a Woman.

Mary said in the studio: “It’s about to go crazy over here.”

A single is due to be released this month.

The soul star previously teased that the album is “about life, love, struggle, but mostly triumph. Because I’m learning how to rejoice in the valleys and the droughts.”

On one of the main themes running through the collection, she added: “It reflects all of our lives as women that are bosses and know that they can say they’re bosses right now.”

Since her last record, Mary has released a slew of singles, including dance-tinged “Only Love” and “Thriving” with Nas.

Boosie Brawls During Legendz Of The Streetz Tour; Concert Ends Early

The second date of the highly anticipated Legendz Of The Streetz tour ended in a fiasco in Atlanta.

Various big-name acts are on tour, including Gucci Mane, Jeezy, Boosie, Fabolous, 2 Chainz, Lil Kim, Trina, and DJ Drama.

Unfortunately, last night’s concert at the State Farm Arena was cut short after a fight broke out during Boosie’s set.

Footage captured the wild incident, showing a man emerging from the DJ booth.

For some reason, he started swinging at another man on the stage. Boosie, who had performed for two minutes, jumped into the fight as well.

Security eventually got a hold of Boosie and ushered him off the stage as the fighting intensified.

The action continued on the stage, speakers were knocked over, and things got so wild that promoters canceled the rest of the concert. According to organizers, DJ Drama, Fabolous, Lil Kim, Gucci Mane, Rick Ross and 2 Chainz had already performed.

Last night’s show was the second date on the 11-date Legendz Of The Streetz tour.

The tour is scheduled to go on as planned tonight (October 2nd) in Greensboro, North Carolina, at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex.

From there, the Legendz Of The Streetz tour will hit Baltimore (October 3rd), and then the acts will get a 5-day break.

The tour resumes on October 8th in New Orleans at the Smoothie King Center. From there, the Legendz Of The Streetz tour will hit Houston, Dallas, Miami, Jacksonville, and Tampa, before winding down on October 22nd in Memphis, Tennessee, at the FedEx Forum.

Cardi B Can’t Stop Crying After Giving Birth

Rapper Cardi B is constantly on the verge of tears after giving birth to her second child on 6 September.

The “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker took to Twitter to share she’s hormonal and weepy after welcoming her son. “Can’t wait till these weird postpartum hormones completely leave my body,” she wrote. “I be crying for no reason.”

Cardi, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almanza, also shares three-year-old daughter Kulture with her rap star husband, Offset.

She also suffered postpartum issues after Kulture’s birth in April, 2018.

“Like, I(‘ve) been emotional all f###### day for no reason,” the rapper wrote on Instagram at the time. “Let me tell you something. No matter how many books you read or advice I get, ya’ll never be read(y) for mommy mode.”

In 2019, she told Harper’s Bazaar the post-baby blues didn’t set in immediately: “When I gave birth, the doctor told me about postpartum, and I was like, ‘Well, I’m doing good right now, I don’t think that’s going to happen’,” she said, “but out of nowhere, the world was heavy on my shoulders.”

British Rapper Nines Gets 28 Months In Jail For Importing Cannabis

Nines has been sentenced to 28 months in jail for importing 28 kilograms of cannabis into the United Kingdom from Spain and Poland.

The British rapper, whose real name is Courtney Freckleton, was arrested in June as part of police raids in London and Borehamwood. He was charged with conspiracy to import a controlled Class B drug, conspiracy to supply a Class A controlled drug (cocaine), conspiracy to supply a Class B controlled drug (cannabis) and conspiracy to conceal, disguise, convert, transfer or remove criminal property.

Nines pleaded guilty to conspiracy to import a Class B drug into the UK and conspiracy to transfer criminal cash. Prosecutors opted to drop the other charges against him.

Prosecutors said Nines used the encrypted messaging platform EncroChat to arrange large shipments of drugs. Law enforcement infiltrated the service, which is used by criminals around the world, after French investigators hacked into it.

Cannabis was smuggled inside boilers as part of Nines’ drug importing operation. He was also laundering money linked to a £98,000 debt, the value of the drugs and the purchase of cannabis using Bitcoin.

Nines’s latest LP, Crabs In The Bucket, peaked at No. 1 on UK Albums Chart in 2020. The project won the prize for album of the year at the 2020 Mobo Awards.

Tyga Explains How Lil Wayne Inspired “The Masked Singer” Appearance

Lil Wayne’s decision to compete on “The Masked Singer” inspired Tyga to follow in his footsteps.

The rapper was unmasked as the Dalmatian on this week’s episode of the TV show.

He told host Nick Cannon that it was his pal’s performance on the last season of the program that prompted him to take part.

“I saw Wayne do it… That just inspired me,” he explained.

Judge Robin Thicke praised the hitmaker for taking part in the show, telling him: “We’re lucky to have you on the show. Every time we have the young, hottest cats on the show it makes us look cooler.”

Tyga had earlier explained his Dalmatian costume, revealing that he has always felt like the “underdog” in life.

“As a kid, I always visualised my success,” he said. “Growing up, there wasn’t really a playbook for my game, so I had to make my own. I remember when I was 12, I saved up money and went out and bought my own gear. I just became obsessed with practicing every day. I mean I always wanted to play in the big leagues, and then I met one of the biggest players in the game. And the rest is history. I always felt like I was the underdog. So I’m here doing something totally different just to prove that. But enough practice, I can do anything.”

Following his elimination from the show, Tyga shared a clip of his performance on Instagram, writing alongside it: “Lost… guess I was too obvious lol @maskedsingerfox.”

Despite his remark, none of the judges – including Robin, who previously collaborated with Tyga – guessed his identity.

Post Malone’s Posty Fest Postponed To 2022

Post Malone’s Posty Fest won’t return until 2022.

Festival organizers have opted to postpone the event, which was scheduled to take place on October 30-31. The decision comes just two weeks after Post Malone announced the lineup.

“Due to logistical issues impacting the production of the festival, Posty Fest is rescheduling to 2022. Refunds available at point of purchase,” festival organizers Live Nation said in a statement to Variety. “We can’t wait to make 2022 our biggest year yet. Stay safe everyone, we’ll see you soon.”

Post Malone’s third annual Posty Fest was supposed to be held at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. According to Variety, festival organizers were struggling to implement COVID-19 safety protocols for the event and opted to postpone it.

Live Nation is now requiring all artists, crews, employees and concertgoers to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to enter its venues and festivals. The policy will officially begin on October 4.

Texas has much looser COVID-19 protocols than many states, which may have been a factor in the postponement of Post Malone’s festival. Fans last got to attend a Posty Fest in 2019 as the pandemic prevented the event from happening in 2020.

Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Uzi Vert, Roddy Ricch and Jack Harlow were booked to perform at the 2021 Posty Fest. It is unknown if the same lineup will be available to Post Malone and Live Nation in 2022.

More Medical Issues Delay Wendy Williams Return To TV – Again

Wendy Williams has once again delayed the return of her TV talk show by two weeks.

The star was due to return to U.S. screens on October 4th but, according to a statement posted on the talk show’s Instagram page, Williams “continues to be under a doctor’s care and is still not ready to return to work.”

It adds that the daytime talk show host’s breakthrough COVID case “is no longer an issue” because she’s tested negative.”

But “she’s still dealing with some ongoing medical issues.”

According to the announcement, the show will instead return with new episodes on October 18th with representatives later confirming that Williams “will host” the new series upon its return, reported the New York Post’s Page Six column.

Due to her health issues, the premiere of the new season of “The Wendy Williams Show” was previously pushed from September 20th to October 4th.

Kevin Gates Goes Viral Over Stage Jump And Semen Retention Tweet

Kevin Gates became the subject of memes and Twitter jokes after two of his social media posts went viral.

A picture of Kevin Gates jumping in the air saw him almost touching his toes behind his back at a show. After he shared it via Twitter and Instagram on Thursday, people quickly began photoshopping it and creating memes.

“Oh Ye who Believe – Gifted – dive in the crowd no safety harness,” Gates wrote in an Instagram caption. “#HealingExperience #iamHim #KhazaTour.”

But Kevin Gates’ jump wasn’t the only reason he had social media buzzing. The Louisiana-bred rapper also sparked jokes and bewildered reactions after tweeting about semen retention on Thursday.

“Your Semen is your Life Force it is so powerful that it can create Life – the more Life Force you have the The stronger your Life Force is,” he wrote. “Nothing is more Precious than Wisdom it is in this spirit that we write, Behold #TheBeloved.”

Meet Elijah Banx: The Hottest New Artist To Come Out Of Long Beach

Elijah Banx is Mr. Banx, also the name of his most recent debut album. The 9-track project is spearheaded by lead single “She Just Wanna,” which is his first record to receive radio play thanks to DJ Hed at Real 92.3. Speaking of radio, Elijah is the artist signed to Big Boy, aka the “voice of Los Angeles,” who recently got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Hailing from Long Beach, Elijah prides himself in his ability to create music in all kinds of genres, not just rap. Describing himself as a “humble, down-to-earth, dude from Long Beach,” Elijah reminds folks that he’s “Long Beach’s first pop artist.”

He states, “If you know the history of Long Beach’s music it’s all gangsta rap and hip-hop. I’m the first artist to come out with country and pop music, I take pride in that. I’m from the Westside of Long Beach, which there’s never been an artist from the Westside of Long Beach to blow up yet.”

At the end of the day, Elijah doesn’t care about the fame or numbers, he’s here to create good music and spread nothing but good vibes to his growing fanbase. Putting his city of Long Beach on the map, he takes after the model that Nipsey Hussle left behind, hoping to leave a lasting impact on all those who listen.

AllHipHop: What was a young Elijah like growing up on the Westside of Long Beach?

Elijah Banx: Ah man, I was a geek. I’m not even going to hold you. I was in the streets a little bit, but I still liked my geek s###. Marvel, Harry Potter, I used to like to read books. I was always playing some type of sport or ducked off listening to some type of music. I had my MP3 player, I had the iPad Nano shuffle. Music’s always been somewhere near.

AllHipHop: Who were your favorites? Obviously Long Beach, you have Snoop.

Elijah Banx: Yeah, that’s definitely in my Top 5. Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Drake. I like J Cole. I like Kendrick. I’m a real Hip Hop head, even though I do the singing pop music. I grew up with real Hip Hop.

AllHipHop: Where did you get this other singing side from? The pop and country…

Elijah Banx: Just having a diverse ear. I always liked listening to other music. It’s crazy. One day, I was sitting here talking to Louie The XIII. Shout out to Louie. Me and him had an argument because he said “you know, you actually sing better than you rap.” I tried this melody on a song, he said “yeah, that could work.” I told him “bro I’m a rapper. I don’t know what you’re talking about, but I’m a rapper.” 9 months past by and I rebrand my name to Elijah Banx and droppin my first single singing record as Elijah Banx and that record makes it onto 92.3.

AllHipHop: Wow! What song was that?

Elijah Banx: “She Just Wanna” When that happened, I realized I was doing it wrong the whole time. I was rapping, I was going by another name. Soon as I changed both of those elements…

AllHipHop: What was your name?

Elijah Banx: E-Nasty. My whole city called me that too! I started this loose party crew in high school and we got big.

AllHipHop: How’d it feel to get played on the radio? Was that when Big Boy was there?

Elijah Banx: Yes, but Big didn’t break my record. DJ Hed and Chuck Dizzle broke my record. Shout out to them. It was in rotation all week so it felt unreal, but I didn’t get to really hear it. Every time, it was sent to me. I never got to hear it. When it premiered, I was at Coachella. I had to perform at Diddy’s little afterparty. And all week it was people sending me the record, it was never me hearing it. I didn’t get to hear myself on the record until “Woman Crush Wednesday.”

AllHipHop: Damn, how was that?

Elijah Banx: Dope! I low key got tired of hearing it. Every state we went to, they were playing it on the radio. I was interviewing, performing it. Damn, I wonder how these people who gotta perform these songs 100 times within 30 days are feeling.

AllHipHop: How did you and Big Boy form that bond?

Elijah Banx: We met through a mutual party. He had signed this artist from Long Beach. He was my partner at the time. Everywhere he went, I went. I was helping out. I was learning the ropes in this music thing. We’d do records together. And then one day BigBoy heard it and asked “who is this?” He said “oh that’s E-Nasty.” Big was like “the ngga that don’t talk? The ngga that don’t even be saying much.” He said “yeah.” And the rest fell in place.

AllHipHop: Were you not saying much? [Laughs]

Elijah Banx: Yeah I’m very bashful. I’m a sponge, I be soaking up all the… Some people come in the room and they want to be loud, that’s not my goal. It really shocked him because I didn’t really talk much, but he liked my voice. We sat down, he told me he liked my voice and everything. We built from there.

AllHipHop: You’re the first artist signed to him, right?

Elijah Banx: No, There was another artist from Long Beach who was the first artist signed to him. I’m his third artist, but one of his only artists left. It’s just me and him right now, we’re running through s###.

AllHipHop: What’s the greatest piece of advice he’s given to you?

Elijah Banx: Be on time to things. No matter how big or small the room is, no matter what element it is — it could be the club, the bar — if they have a DJ, you walk up to the DJ and shake their hand. You don’t go up and offer them your song, no. You go up, shake their hand, you introduce yourself and let them know you appreciate what they do. And keep it moving. DJs really remember stuff like that. Because most artists come up like “hey bro, I got a song.” I really go, get their Instagram: “alright bro we’ll connect. Because if we’re on Instagram, you’ll see what I’m doing. If you like it, you like it. That helped me out a lot because it helped me get my record played in a lot of different places.

AllHipHop: How does it feel seeing him get his Hollywood star?

Elijah Banx: You ever heard the saying, “if one wins we all win”? That’s how it felt, because I felt like I got a star. Because that’s really my mentor, that’s really my boss. He’s one of the selected few. Not everyone gets a star, they just gave Snoop a star and you know Snoop’s a star. People that’s not of the white culture, they wait to give us ours. Every time someone like us who comes from the same place gets one, we’ve got to celebrate. No hatred, no nothing.

AllHipHop: How are you feeling with your debut album Mr. Banx out now?

Elijah Banx: I’m feeling good. I’m feeling tired. I spent two weeks in Atlanta, I spent a week in Dallas. Spent a few days in Houston. New York, Miami, it just feels good to be in LA. We’re doing all press right now. We still got Arizona and a lot of other states to go to. I’ve done radio interviews: shout out to 94.5, shoutout to 107.3 Houston. We did a couple radio interviews, podcasts, performances, hostings. Just trying to show our faces, shake some hands and take some pictures.

AllHipHop: Why’d you name it Mr. Banx?

Elijah Banx: Because I am Mr. Banx, this is my first album. You only get one time to have a debut album. It’s supposed to mean something and have something to do with who you are. Some people do for example: “Elijah Banx presents Elijah Banx the album.” Nah. They call me Mr. Banx on some smooth 007, smooth suave type s###, so that’s why I called it that.

AllHipHop: How long have you been grinding for?

Elijah Banx: On a serious note, I’ve been grinding since 2015. Grinding, really taking this music seriously. I didn’t think about making an album until 2018. Okay we’re recording all this music, putting out these songs, but nobody has an actual project to attach your name to. That’s when I got with my management in 2018, Lamont Vintage with Vintage Society Entertainment. We said “man, we gotta start working on it.” I was subconsciously working on it. It wasn’t like I was going to the studio being like “this is for the album, this is for the album.” I was just going in recording. At the end, we said “okay, this makes sense”, New sound with, a new vibe to give to the fans.

AllHipHop: What songs mean the most to you and why?

Elijah Banx: “Woman Crush Wednesday,” that’s the song that took me the furthest. It’s the song that everybody knows me for. “Runaway” is my absolute favorite on the album. It’s about my last relationship and every word on there is true.

AllHipHop: How does she feel about it?

Elijah Banx: She hates the song. She hates it, but that’s because she feels like I put her hurt out there for everybody. She doesn’t understand how special that is because so many people relate to it. That’s my favorite song, she doesn’t really like it but one day she will like it. And “Get High,” because I love to get high.

AllHipHop: What or who inspired “Woman Crush Wednesdays”?

Elijah Banx: All the fine ass women on Instagram who I be seeing on my timeline. I’m talking about every day: scroll, swipe, like. It’s too many of them. It’s too many to even pinpoint where it came from. Shoutout to Rihanna though, because you’re my true Woman Crush Wednesday.

AllHipHop: What is it that you want fans to get from your story?

Elijah Banx: I want people to get from my story that no matter how you perceive these people, we all go through the same trials and tribulations. We all fall in love, we all get our heart broken. Most of us have come from nothing. A lot of us like to vibe, get high, and let the time pass. Life is about having fun. There’s artists like Kendrick and J. Cole, deep people who make you really think, that’s not really what I want to do with people right now in my journey. I want to be easy to listen to, and free to enjoy yourself when I’m on.

AllHipHop: How was it performing in Atlanta?

Elijah Banx: Oh it’s a vibe every time, shoutout to Atlanta. They show so much love, it’s ridiculous. That’s really my second home.

AllHipHop: How was the festival you did?

Elijah Banx: Oh it was dope. It was an R&B festival right? They had all these big R&B names, everybody had bands. It was real soulful and everything. I looked at my posts and said “I feel like I’m about to f### up the vibe right now,” but in a good way.

AllHipHop: Some of your records are R&B though?

Elijah Banx: They are, but I’m talking about they were easy on a Sunday morning. When I got on the stage, first thing I said was “Man I go by the name Elijah Banx, I’m from LA. I just want to bring LA to Atlanta real quick.” They said “okay.” I said “I know we’ve been taking it easy like a Sunday morning, but I’ma take y’all to the club on a Saturday night. Let’s go!” I changed the vibe up.

AllHipHop: What’s your favorite song to perform?

Elijah Banx: “Woman Crush Wednesday,” because it’s so flawless every time I do it. To the dance moves.

AllHipHop: You’ve got dance moves too?

Elijah Banx: A little. [laughs] Chris, I’m coming for you!

AllHipHop: How was it locking in with Jazze Pha?

Elijah Banx: Yooo! It’s crazy, I haven’t even got to talk about it because it just happened. That was an experience, humble dude. Shoutout to one of my publicists, Molly. So literally I went to sleep in the car real quick while everyone finished up in the restaurant. They woke me up like “wake up!” I said “where we at?” They said “You’re at Jazze Pha’s studio, you’re about to record with him.” I said “n*gga, we are not at Jazze Pha studio!”

Then Jazze Pha pops out: “oh boy, what’s the deal?” Oh f###, we’re really about to record… okay let’s go. He welcomed me. I ran into some legends, they’re a little mean sometimes. This dude, I texted him like “bruh I can’t wait to come back and record with you.” He responded and said “the music is always good when the vibe is right, when the energy is good within people.” Shout out to him.

AllHipHop: What were the convos with Nipsey like?

Elijah Banx: Inspiring for sure because you know where Nipsey comes from. You know what he’s about. That’s fly Crippin’ at its finest. That’s who I look up to when it comes to how to carry yourself as a man, as an artist from out here from Los Angeles as a man.

AllHipHop: Are you doing anything for your community?

Elijah Banx: Yeah, it’s crazy. Facebook just reminded me today, 4 years ago Big Boy had this restaurant. I think he turned it into multiple taco trucks, he made it mobile. We were doing this fundraiser, we got all this water and all this food. Every year, me and Lamont or me and my team either do a toy donation in December, we definitely do the Thanksgiving Turkey Drives with Big. I’ve performed for a lot of elementary schools during the summer, summer programs, etc. Once we get the bread up, it’s a lot more I want to do for the city for sure. Especially with me being from Long Beach, we going to start in Long Beach but it’s LA all day. We going to spread it across the map.

AllHipHop: You got anything upcoming in Long Beach?

Elijah Banx: We working on a couple of things. I’m doing a ”Welcome Mr Banx” show soon since I haven’t performed in Long Beach since 2018.

AllHipHop: Any goals for yourself at this point in your career?

Elijah Banx: One of my goals right now is making sure my next project sounds better than my last. I’m racing myself now. Also, get the Math project done, that’s one of my goals. Math project is an album that’s going to have all features, because it stands for “Me And The Homies.” I’ve got to start working on that. I was selfish with my album, I didn’t do any features. Now it’s time to start reaching out to all the homies. I’ve got records with Kalan.FrFr, Jag, Garren and more Big names that’s on the way I can’t say much about right now but It’s time to share that with the world.

AllHipHop: How do you view West Coast hip-hop currently? There are hella people riding the wave.

Elijah Banx: Shout out to BLXST, I’ve known BLXST since 2012. Me and him were on the same label: Turn It Up Music. Little independent label, TIU music. I had texted him when No Love Lost came out. I said “thank you bro.” He said “for what?” I said “for opening the door for n*ggas like me.” Because at times LA caters more towards the real street rap. But to know people are willing to hear turn up beats where you’re still talking about relationships, love, and chill s###. I have to admit BLXST opened that door.

AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let the people know?

Elijah Banx: I want to let them know that we working, and I finally got my interview with Shirley Ju. Be on the lookout for Elijah Banx because we’re running through s### now. New music coming soon, new videos, everything on social media at Elijah Banx.

Lil Wayne Get Strategic In $20 MillIon Fight With Ex-Manager

Ron Sweeney, who acted as a manager and lawyer for the Louisiana artist since 2005, is pushing the Young Money founder to cough up money regarding his percentage from his settlement from Birdman and Cash Money Records.

However, based on recent reports, Weezy is being and has refused to sit for a deposition regarding the settlement with his former father figure.

According to a court filing, on August 24, 2021, the artist (whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) was scheduled to answer pertinent questions about the money.

Yet, according to Sweeney, he didn’t show up to a deposition and will not talk about the payout. Furthermore, the executive alleges that the “Lollipop” chart-topper has instructed his team to not provide an additional date for the deposition to be done in the future.

Sweeney, who filed the document, says that Team Weezy is stalling until a judge can dismiss a $20 million lawsuit, that they believe is frivolous, all together.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, Sweeney wants his money.

He claims that he has not been compensated for helping Wayne grow his career and become the mogul he is. He says that he set up many business deals before they set ways and dissolved their business relationship.

In the lawsuit, he says that Wayne “failed and refused to pay Plaintiffs his promised 10% of the recovery from lawsuits, 10% of the sale of master recordings owned by Lil Wayne’s record label, and then 17% in general commissions that he owes to Plaintiffs in connection with Plaintiff’s day to day management activities.”

Before you cast your vote on anyone’s side, note that Wayne is also suing Sweeney. He says that he ain’t did all that for him and was swindling him for years.

He misrepresented himself as his manager, even as he was doing the work of a lawyer. He was paid as a lawyer, which is not in dispute, and doesn’t deserve any commission compensation or furnishing fee.

The courts have not weighed in on the deposition, not Wayne’s claim.

Beanie Sigel Chooses Sides in the Upcoming Saigon & Vado Face-Off

Beanie Sigel has thrown his support behind one rapper, in particular, and you won’t believe who.

In a recent YouTube video, the modern-day rap legend predicts that Saigon will win in the upcoming face-off against Vado. Sigel believes that Saigon has the edge because Jay-Z co-signs him, albeit tacitly.

Check out the video, in which Beanie Sigel makes his predictions, below.

Saigon, for his part, is already gearing up for battle. He recently took a friendly shot at Vado on his Instagram page.

“My homie said “your battle with @vado_mh is 2 weeks away, I hope U rehearsing.” I said “Not really, U aint see my sun Vado on TV, he known for choking, my sun definitely gon’ CHOKE, this easy work,” he teased. “😆…. “Im going to the county” 😂🤣… This s### is gonna be too fun !!!”

Check out Saigon’s post below.

We’re not ones to pick sides (yes, we are, actually) but we’re with Beanie Sigel on this one. Vado is certainly a beast, but Saigon is a silent-but-deadly killer.
