Slain OTF Rapper King Von Joins Milwaukee’s Looney Babie Posthumously In “Drill (REMIX)” Video

Proving that Milwaukee, Wisconsin is way more than beer, cheese and the Green Bay Packers, versatile rapper Looney Babie delivers his new single “Drill” featuring recently slain Chicago rapper and OTF member King Von

While the preparation for his “Drill” single featuring King Von has been months in the making with music videos and more, nothing could have prepared Looney Babie for the untimely murder of King Von last week. In honor of his slain OTF friend and fellow Midwest rapper, Looney Babie decided to push forward with the release of “Drill” to give King Von fans something positive during these trying times.

“Von was a smooth dude both times I met him. We both street ni**as, we both beat homicide cases so this Drill song was perfect for us. It’s f*cked up how things went and I send my condolences to his family and friends, but I hope this song brings some light to his family and fans. King Von went crazy on that one!” Looney Babie said.

“I ain’t gonna lie this is one of my best mixtapes and its hosted by Drumma Boy who did all the sh*t with T.I., Jeezy and everyone else. I got beats from him on there, we got a couple of hits. I’m trying to get Rod Wave and Chief Keef on there but I got Peezy from Detroit part of Team EastsideTEC from Baton Rouge, King Von. In my city it’s hard to make it out of here and it’s all about who you know and what your budget is. Rico Love, K-Camp are from here but most people don’t know that.”

While people are familiar with all of the violence and crime in Chicago, Looney Babie is telling stories that show that Milwaukee is far from the sleepy Midwest town that people imagine it to be.

“Chicago is like four times bigger than Milwaukee, but our city is just the same, it’s just little. We’re just two hours apart so it’s a mini-Chicago. When n##### get ran out of Chicago they come up there. If they don’t know nobody over here they think it’s a white lil hick town, but they soon realize, this ain’t that,” Looney Babie said. “When I used to go to other cities, they would say there ain’t no Black people up here but it’s def not what people think.”

Escaping incarceration after beating a homicide charge in 2012, Looney Babie earned his name after gaining a reputation in jail for fighting and going crazy after finding out his mother died just 12 days before his birthday. He soon became known in his town for beating a murder charge and going “looney” while in county jail for two years.

“I was just in there going crazy, a lot of fighting and stuff like that. One day I called home and told them they had named me that in jail and so it stuck and it was my name from then on,” Looney Babie said. “Right now I don’t like this s### though, from the police to the streets. I’m most definitely living all this, I spent two years in the county jail, but that s### gave me high blood pressure and I almost died in there.  I spit my life on these tracks, I got a lot of s### coming, I recorded over 1000 songs so I’m just mixing them in and picking the best songs. You gonna see my growth in my music with everything that’s coming out, it’s all about me and my life or what I’ve seen my n##### go through. I’m just gonna spit my life and you either gonna like it or not.”

Rapper Octavian Has Something To Say After Being Dropped By Record Label Over Abuse Allegation

Rapper Octavian has been dropped by his record label bosses following allegations of physical and emotional abuse.

The hitmaker’s ex-girlfriend has taken to social media and claimed he “frequently kicked and punched” her during their three-year relationship – allegations he has strongly denied.

“Thank you to the Essie Family for staying strong through this storm. The enemy’s can’t hurt us and never will. We mentally touched different levels, we are all finally ready,” Octavian said. “Thank you to my sisters my nephews for always giving great advice. Thank you to the people who produced and stuck with me through my crazy mind whilst making this album. Biggest thank you to all my fans my friends who send me bueatiful [sic] message everyday I cannot thank you enough.”

But executives at Black Butter Records have decided they no longer want to work with the rap star.

“We at Black Butter have taken the decision not to continue working with Octavian and we will not be releasing his album,” a statement reads. “We do not condone domestic abuse of any kind and we have suggested Octavian seeks professional help at this time.”

Octavian’s ex has also posted a thread of videos and photos online, hoping to prove her claims are true.

In an Instagram video posted on Thursday, Octavian acknowledged the accuser is an ex, but insisted he was never abusive towards her.

Ice Cube To Speak At Pro-Trump Zionist Organization’s Virtual Superstar Gala

Ice Cube found himself in the middle of a political firestorm when Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign revealed they spoke with the Hip Hop legend about his Contract With Black America and Trump’s Platinum Plan. Critics accused Cube of allowing himself to be used as a political pawn. He disagreed and defended his decision to work with the Republicans.

Even though Cube repeatedly insisted Democrats declined a chance to speak with him before the general election, reports came out stating that the N.W.A member actually turned down a chance to talk to Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris about his CWBA prior to Election Day on November 3. Congressman Cedric Richmond, the national Co-Chair of the Biden-Harris campaign, also denied the Democrats rejected Cube’s offer to meet.

Before the controversy with Team Trump and the Dems, Cube was facing backlash from sectors of the Jewish community for a series of tweets in June that some people viewed as anti-Semitic. Again, the 51-year-old entertainer offered a defense for his actions. He tweeted, “What if I was just pro-Black? This is the truth brother. I didn’t say I was anti anybody.”

Ice Cube is now set to speak in front of a mostly Jewish crowd for the non-profit, pro-Israel Zionist Organization of America. The rapper/actor will be joined by ZOA National President Morton Klein, Trump’s United States Ambassador to Israel David M. Friedman, Israel’s next ambassador to the United States Gilad Erdan, Trump-supporting actor Jon Voight, and others on December 27.

The Zionist Organization of America tends to back conservative policies when it comes to Israel. ZOA has opposed Palestinian statehood, a two-state solution, and the Boycott/Divestment/Sanctions (BDS) movement, but the organization has supported Israel building settlements in occupied Palestinian lands and the Trump Administration’s travel ban for Muslim-majority countries. Klein has also been accused of displaying “a pattern of racist and Islamophobic behavior.”

After former Vice President Joe Biden secured enough Electoral College votes (290-217, at the moment) to win the 2020 United States presidential election, ZOA and its leadership refused to acknowledge Biden’s win over Trump. Klein is quoted saying, “I will not call him president-elect, I will say ‘likely president-elect.'”

The Trump campaign has launched numerous election-related lawsuits in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. So far, nearly every challenge has been rejected by the courts. Both Democratic and Republican legal experts have said it’s extremely unlikely that any of the cases will overturn Biden’s Electoral College victory.

Quando Rondo’s Crew Suggests They Were Defending Themselves During King Von Shooting

Much of the Hip Hop world is still reeling from the killing of Dayvon “King Von” Bennett. The 26-year-old rising musician from Chicago was shot near an Atlanta nightspot following an altercation with fellow rapper Quando Rondo. Another individual named Mark Blakely, 34, was also killed.

Atlanta police arrested Rondo’s alleged associate Timothy Leeks as he was receiving treatment at Grady Hospital for a gunshot wound. Leeks, 22, has been charged with felony murder for the death of King Von. There may be some indication of how Leeks plans to defend himself in court.

EXCLUSIVE: Goodie Mob Explains Lining Up André 3000 And Big Boi For New Album “Survival Kit”

When André 3000 said “the south got something to say” at the 1995 Source Awards, that statement became a precursor to the dominant reign southern Hip Hop would have over the culture for decades. André and his OutKast partner Big Boi went on to secure multiple #1 singles, a Diamond-certified album, and a Grammy win for Album of the Year.

3 Stacks very rarely steps back into the music lane these days as he continues to pursue an acting career in television and film productions such as Jimi: All Is by My Side, American Crime, and Dispatches from Elsewhere. However, he did turn up on his Dungeon Family brethren’s latest project.

Seven years after the release of Age Against the Machine, Goodie Mob reunited for Survival Kit. The 16-track effort includes a guest appearance by André 3000 on a song titled “No Cigar.” Big Boi also showed up on “Prey 4 Da Sheep.” Plus, Public Enemy’s Chuck D is featured on the opening track.

“Before the pandemic started, we just come off a Dungeon Family tour. So all of us had just come off tour. Big Boi, Organized Noize, Goodie Mob, we had just traveled the world,” Big Gipp explained to AllHipHop.com during a sit down with The Goodie Mob. “So we were getting ready to go into the Goodie Mob leg of the tour, and that’s when the pandemic hit. All of us are still around each other at Stankonia. So when we started putting tracks to the side to say, ‘What should we invite the family on?’ Big Boi instantly picked, ‘Pray 4 Da Sheep.’ And he worked on his record for at least a week or two. He took that record and went to his hole.”

“We hit Dré [André 3000] with about three or four records. And then he picked his record. We all woke up in the morning and he had his verse, so that’s when we knew we finally put the special sauce bed together,” Big Gipp revealed.

OutKast has not put out an official studio album since 2006’s Idlewild. Over the last five years, André 3000 has popped his head out on cuts by Kanye West, Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Solange, A Tribe Called Quest, Anderson .Paak, and others. Big Boi’s catalog consists of the solo projects Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, and Boomiverse.

According to reports, Jeezy is also taking on the role as a senior advisor to Def Jam Recordings interim chairman and CEO Jeff Harleston. The iconic Hip Hop label also signed the Snowman to a contract extension as a recording artist.

“It’s an honor to return to the label I’ve called home for 15 years, not only as an artist, but as an executive,” said Jeezy. “I spent most of my career learning from trial and error, I am happy to say that I am back on the team that helped me build my legacy from the streets to the boardroom and nothing makes me more fulfilled than being in a position to help guide and add value to the next generation.”

2019’s TM104: The Legend of the Snowman is Jeezy’s most recent studio LP. He also dropped the 7-track Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision EP in March of this year. The Recession 2 album is scheduled to hit DSPs on November 20.

Future & Lil Uzi Vert Drop ‘Pluto X Baby Pluto’ Project

Future and Lil Uzi Vert have been teasing the idea of a joint project for a while. This week, the duo released a trailer for something coming on Friday the 13th.

It turns out Future and Uzi had a 16-track LP titled Pluto x Baby Pluto. The album, which was executive produced by DJ Esco, dropped today and quickly became one of the most talked about topics on Twitter.

Pluto x Baby Pluto follows the Atlanta rhymer and the Philadelphia rhymer joining forces for “Patek” and “Over Your Head” earlier this year. Neither record made it onto the final collaborative effort.

Future has created full bodies of work with other artists in the past. His catalog includes What a Time to Be Alive with Drake, Super Slimey with Young Thug, and Wrld on Drugs with Juice Wrld. His solo album, High Off Life, came out in May.

Pluto x Baby Pluto is Lil Uzi Vert’s third project of 2020. In March, he let loose Eternal Atake and its deluxe version Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World 2. The Generation Now signee also appeared on 2020 songs with Lil Baby, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Gunna, and more.

Megan Thee Stallion Drops Jaw-Dropping Cover And Artwork For Debut Album “Good News”

Finally, after years of high anticipation, the mega-star and Hip-Hop darling Megan thee Stallion is about to drop her debut album.

Aptly entitled, Good News, the Houston native notes that the album’s title is a reflection of where she is in her life. At the end of the day, regardless of whatever has come her way, Meg’s life has been filled with more good news than bad.

“I first want to say thank you for riding with me, growing with me, and staying down with me since my first mixtape Rich Ratchet !” Megan said. “Through this rough ass year we’ve all been having I felt like we could all use a lil bit of good news.”

Just consider this year alone: she copped five BET Awards, including Hip Hop Artist Of The Year, MTV VMA Award for her single “Savage” that she got to slay with another Texas dynamo, Beyoncé, and was honored by TIME as one of the 100 most influential people in the world (appearing on their TIME100 annual list).

That’s not even touching “Hot Girl Summer” joint with Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign, 1.54 billion global streams on her “Suga,” the song “Savage” from the mixtape that banged TikTok in the head with the #SavageChallenge dance craze, topped off with the success of “WAP,” the sexy single with Cardi B that gained 93 million streams in its first 7 days.

We hope that this project brings more than just good news but sustains the impact that she has garnered over the last few years. Meg, the world wants you to win.

Meg’s album is slated to drop on November 20th.

Migos’ Label Quality Control Jumps Into The World Of Pro Baseball With New Brand QC Sports

While Quavo is making announcements about his participation in the sports fashion world by investing in the LEGENDS brand, the entity behind his success is plunging deeper into the industry with a new baseball division.

Quality Control Music’s sister brand, QC Sports just announced that it is launching a new full-service baseball agency division to complement the company’s franchise. To lead this division, they have hired Charisse Dash as a partner and Global Head of Baseball.

With 18 years of experience in Major League Baseball, Dash has been negotiating contracts and pulling new business to the agency.

“Partnering with a strong woman of color with the experience, credibility, proven track record and commitment to clients that Charisse has is perfectly aligned with the QC brand and what P and I have built,” Kevin “Coach K” Lee, Quality Control co-founder, said.

As a star in the field, this year alone, she closed a negotiation with signed Yoan Moncada, infielder Chicago White Sox, which resulted in the highest contract extension in the MLB history by a female agent of color.

“I am excited and honored to be part of such an authentic and special brand as QC,” Dash communicated in a press release. “But mostly I am ready to get to work and continue to build on the legacy that P and Coach have built. According to a press release, Quality Control Sports was founded in 2019 by Pierre “P” Thomas and Kevin “Coach K” Lee, two executives who are responsible for the careers of Migos, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, and City Girls.

The two attribute their management style to their love of sports. As a result, QC Sports was a natural progression. So far, QC has signed running-back and 2017 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Alvin Kamara of the New Orleans Saints, and more recently University of Georgia’s D’Andre Swift who was drafted to the Detroit Lions in 2020.

Forget Trump For A Second – Rapper Shyne Elected to Belize House Of Representatives!

Former rapper Shyne has successfully reinvented himself as a politician in his hometown of Belize.

Yesterday (November 11th) the people of the country elected the former rap star to the Belize House of Representatives. The ex-rapper will officially represent the Mesopotamia District in Belize City on behalf of the United Democratic Party.

Shyne, real name Moses Barrow, served 14 years in prison in the United States for a shooting in Manhattan in 1999 involving Sean Diddy Combs and his then-girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez.

Shyne, who converted to Orthodox Judaism during his time incarcerated, was released in October of 2009 and deported to Belize. He successfully launched a career in politics, serving as the country’s Ambassador Of Music.

From there, the rap star followed in the footsteps of his father Dean Barrow, the former – and first Black Prime Minister Of Belize – and decided to take a shot at running for office.

A post shared by Shyne Barrow (@shyne_bz)

“This victory is for all those who are just like me in Mesopotamia, Belize and the world over! All those who have taken a fall! All those who have stumbled on their life’s journey,” Shyne told his supporters. “We all fall! But to get up and walk, run and rise again is the purpose of life! We are all destined to be challenged but we are all capable of overcoming those challenges! My story is testament of human fortitude! We all have what I have! We just have to dig deep within and find it! I hope I inspire everyone to overcome their adversities and find their greatness!”

While Shyne celebrated a victory, (as did his aunt Denise “Sista B.” Barrow), the UDP did not fare so well in the general election.

The UDP”s candidate Patrick Faber lost to former Prime Minister Johnny Briceno.

Despite his party’s loss, Shyne vowed to represent all Belizeans as the country struggles to rebuild its economy as the nation tries to control the spread of the coronavirus.

“To all those who voted for me I promise to continue to deliver for you in every way over the next 5 years! To all those who didn’t vote for me, I promise to spend the next 5 years working tirelessly to earn your trust and support,” Shyme vowed.”

Tyga Laughs Off $200,000 Lawsuit For Trashing Rental Property

Rapper Tyga is being sued for destroying a rental property and not paying the monthly fees since staying there this past Spring.

According to a legal filing by the landlord, the “SWISH” rapper owes him $32,000 in rent for occupying his property. Though he moved out in April, he had not paid rent for about a year.

The complaint details that he also owes $27,650 for the kitchen’s white oak flooring, $15,575 damaged marble flooring, and counters, and $103,160.25 damaged walls with murals and wallpaper.

More willful damage was done to the home as it is alleged that Tyga had a basketball hoop installed in the driveway and new locks that seem to have “destroyed” the front door.

Both of which, the California native, did not receive permission to install.

This is not the first time that Tyga was sued for failure to pay rent. In 2018, he was sued for flaking on the rent of another Beverly Hill sport.

The landlord is waiting for a judge to make the rapper to cough up the $200,000 immeed-jedly!

Tyga has responded implying that he doesn’t care. The caption on his Instagram says, “They said I can’t pay my rent……Guess I’ll just sleep outside 🚶🏾‍♂️…🏡”

Travis Scott Gives Cancer Patient Rare $55,000 Action Figure Of Himself

Rapper Travis Scott has gifted an action figure of himself worth an estimated $55,000 to a fan battling cancer.

The figurine, produced by officials at fast-food chain McDonald’s for his partnership with the eatery, depicts the rapper holding a tray with his Cactus Jack meal – a $6 deal that comes with a Quarter Pounder with cheese and bacon, medium fries with BBQ sauce and a Sprite.

The rare toy was given out via sweepstakes to launch the Astroworld star’s partnership with the chain, with McDonald’s bosses confirming the action figures are handcrafted and numbered.

Following the launch, someone who scored one of the limited figurines uploaded the item to reseller marketplace StockX with an asking price of $55,000. The seller’s identity remains unknown.

However, ensuring there’s no mix-up, a young fan who is battling cancer contacted TMZ to inform the publication that he too was gifted a figurine by the star, but insisted he didn’t list his action figure for sale.

A representative for Travis confirmed the sweet gesture was made to the fan, who was recently discharged from the hospital after undergoing treatment for the illness. They didn’t share any further details about the exchange.

Travis’ partnership with McDonald’s proved hugely popular – and resulted in him being fined by the city of Downey, California after a crowd of over 500 people turned up at the restaurant to meet the rapper at a promotional event, amid the pandemic.

His Cactus Jack meal was launched in early September of 2020 and was available for one month.
