The Game’s Sexual Assault Accuser Files Docs To Force Rapper To Sell His Calabasas Home

Former contestant on VH1’s She Got Game Priscilla Rainey won’t let her foot off The Game’s neck.

Years after suing the rapper for an alleged sexual assault that took place on set and winning a default judgement of more than $7 million, Rainey is coming for his home—again.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, the balance due on the aforementioned judgment is $6,898,721.99. Rainey and her attorney, Janelle M. Dease, are asking a judge to order Game to sell his Calabasas home in order to pay part of the debt. They also want to force Game into a court hearing to present his argument as to why it shouldn’t be seized.

“I further request that the Court set a time and place for hearing and order the Judgment Debtor to show cause why an order for sale of the dwelling should not be made in accordance with this application,” Dease writes. “The records of the Los Angeles County Tax Assessor indicate that there is no current homeowner’s exemption or disabled veteran’s exemption for the dwelling.

“Record title to the dwelling is held in the names of Cash M. Jones, a married man as his sole and separate property, subject to a Final Judgment and Permanent Injunction obtained by Judgment Creditor, deeming title to be held by JTT Holdings as an alter ego of Judgment Debtor. I am informed and believe that the dwelling is not a homestead.”

Rainey and Dease have determined the property is $3,191,375.00.

He added, “I am informed and believe that the fair market value of the property exceeds $3,600,000.” Even if Rainey did collect $3.6 million from the sale, that still only satisfies roughly half of Game’s debt.

The documents are dated July 24, meaning it’s been nearly nine years since Rainey has been pursuing the Game’s money.

Rainey first filed her sexual assault case in August of 2015, seeking $10 million after she claimed he sexually assaulted her during what she thought was a required after-hours date while taping She Got Game.

A jury awarded her roughly $7 million in 2016 after he pulled a no-show in court. The Game claimed he would never pay the debt.

“Don’t be fooled by these accusations or the dollar amount in the headlines cause I put that on my favorite aunties poodle this broad ain’t gettin s###!” he wrote on Instagram in 2016. “Every girl on that show will tell u I never touched this chick or ever desired to be anywhere near her.

“She got kicked off the show & as a result she filed this lame lawsuit which was probably her intentions before the show was ever even started. She was begging for my attention the entire time we shot the show & was given the ultimate Major League Baseball CURVE ball so that upset her & made her lil wee wee hard so she did what all chicks like her do when life gives them no other options…. They sue you!”

An appeals court rejected The Game’s request for a new trial. Rainey sued him again over his refusal to pay the $7 million judgment. She won the second lawsuit in 2023.

Rainey officially served Game the paperwork to possibly seize his home in June. She accused The Game of transferring his home’s deed to Wack 100 to prevent her from seizing it.

Ice Spice Recalls “Hysterically Crying” After Taylor Swift Asked For Collab

Ice Spice recounts crying “hysterically” after Taylor Swift asked her to collaborate on a remix of “Karma.” The rapper, reflecting on the moment in an interview with Rolling Stone, said she was overwhelmed when the “Love Story” singer invited her to feature on the track, which dropped in May 2023.

“I was living in my first apartment in Jersey, and (producer) Riot was there recording me,” Ice Spice said. “I remember my manager called me, and he usually texts, but he called, and he’s like, ‘You ready for this one?’ And I’m thinking it’s going to be some bad news or something.”

To her surprise, her manager delivered unexpected news. “He’s like, ‘Taylor Swift has a record for you to get on from her album.’ I’m playing it cool on the phone. I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s cool. Super cool.’ And then I hang up the phone and I’m hysterically crying,” Ice recounted.

At the time of the call, Ice Spice was in her walk-in closet, grappling with the gravity of the moment. “I’m in my walk-in closet, and I’m like, ‘Bro, this is not real life,'” the “Barbie World” artist recalled. “Riot definitely filmed it. That’ll probably be in a documentary one day.”

Swift, whom Ice Spice regards as her “closest celebrity friend,” praised the rapper’s dedication to her craft. “I love when I meet a new artist who takes a keen interest in not just the music but the music industry and how it works,” Taylor said during the interview. “I’ve seen how our industry tries to convince artists that they’re better off just being creative and making music and letting the labels and the management do the rest.”

Swift added, “Seeing Ice lean into the strategic, financial, and business aspects of her career is really exciting for me. The more artists learn about the inner workings of the music industry, the more power they can have in their creative world.”

Janet Jackson Relives Brother Michael Jackson’s Death: “It’s Deeply Emotional”

Janet Jackson shared some poignant reflections on her late brother Michael Jackson during her current world tour. As the “Got ’til It’s Gone” singer continues her Together Again Tour, she performs their 1995 duet “Scream” with visual tributes to Michael, who tragically passed away in 2009 at age 50.

Jackson opened up to the BBC, sharing how revisiting the emotional memories of creating the track brings back a whirlwind of feelings.

“‘Listening to him every night, seeing him, remembering us,’ is deeply emotional,” she said.

Janet co-wrote “Scream” with Michael in his New York apartment, and performing it now reignites memories of their bond.

“I relive that whole journey, listening to him sing it and remembering what he was going through at that time. And just me being his little sister, always by his side, and being that support system. That’s always been my role.”

Originally featured on Michael’s 1995 album, HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I, the song also appeared on Janet’s 2009 compilation album “Number Ones.”

“Scream” served as a retort to the intense media scrutiny Michael faced in the mid-90s, addressing rumors about his eccentric behavior, including sleeping in an oxygen chamber and owning a chimpanzee named Bubbles.

During the 1990s, Michael’s life was mired in controversies, including allegations of inappropriate conduct with a young boy in 1993, which he settled out of court. In 2005, similar claims led to a trial where he was acquitted, though public suspicions lingered even after his death.

Janet’s tour is scheduled to hit the U.K. in September, with performances lined up in London, Birmingham and Manchester. In October, she is slated to perform in Glasgow, continuing to honor her brother’s legacy on stage.

Despite the challenges of revisiting such a personal song, Jackson remains steadfast, using her artistry to keep Michael’s memory alive.

“‘Doing this every night keeps his spirit with me and connects me with fans around the world. It’s truly a shared experience,'” Jackson conveyed to her audience, underscoring the enduring impact of her brother’s legacy.

EXCLUSIVE: 6ix9ine Ordered To Pay Big Bucks Over “Stoopid” Lawsuit Loss

Rapper 6ix9ine will have more financial difficulties following a copyright infringement case related to his song “Stoopid.”

The United States District Court ruled against 6ix9ine in a lawsuit by Seth Gordon over his song “Stoopid” for using a nine-second radio drop at the beginning of the song without authorization.

Despite Gordon’s copyright registration for the musical composition “Yung Gordon Intro,” 6ix9ine included the drop in his song without seeking permission from Gordon.

This unauthorized use of Gordon’s creative work led to a legal dispute that ultimately resulted in a default judgment against 6ix9ine.

Because the Brooklyn rapper refused to respond to the lawsuit in time to defend himself in the case, the court issued a default judgment against him, holding him accountable for copyright infringement.

The court’s ruling mandates that 6ix9ine must now turn over earnings generated from his album Dummy Boy, which features the song “Stoopid,” and the profits from the single itself.

The court determined that 6ix9ine must pay damages to Gordon, calculated as 1/13th of the profits from the album, attributed to the unauthorized use of the radio drop in the song, amounting to $61,538.46.

Additionally, he is required to cover the legal expenses incurred by Seth Gordon during the litigation process, including the attorney’s fees associated with the case, which amount to almost another $12,000.

The financial obligation significantly burdens 6ix9ine’s already contentious legal situation.

Last week, 6ix9ine’s custom Bentley and Lamborghini were sold for over $260,000 at a government auction to cover a bill to the IRS.

De La Soul’s “Oodles Of O’s” Pop-Up Donut Shop Gets Q-Tip “Out The House”

De La Soul‘s Posdnuos and Maseo were back in New York City, where they held an “Oodles of O’s” pop-up donut shop event on Friday (July 26) at Cafe Joah.

Common, Questlove, Statik Selektah and an elusive Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest were among the many special guests who showed up to the one-day only soirée. Hundreds of people lined up for a chance to get their albums signed and meet two of the men behind the iconic Hip-Hop trio.

They were also able to try several specialty donuts, including “The Dove” (named after the late, great Dave Jolicoeur also known as Trugoy the Dove), “The Twizness,” “The Bear Cinnamon” and “The O.”

On Saturday (July 27), De La Soul posted several Instagram photos of the event. In one of them, Questlove commented on Q-Tip’s surprising appearance, writing, “Dad Came Out The House!” J Rocc, meanwhile, called for a pop-up donut shop in Los Angeles and DJ Spinna called it “fun and legendary times.”

Of course, the event’s name was taken from the 1991 De La Soul is Dead track “Oodles of O’s.”

As a Pix 11 News reporter explained in the clip, “It only took three decades for the inspiration for Oodles of O’s to become a reality. Posdnuos and Maseo welcomed fellow Hip-Hop pioneers Common and Questlove to be part of the De La donut atmosphere in the East Village Friday, filming the first-ever video for ‘Oodles of O’s,” which was the nostalgic backdrop for their one-day only pop-up shop.”

Maseo noted it was a “somber” moment for them due to Trugoy the Dove—who died suddenly in February 2023—not being there. He likened it to “losing a limb.” Nonetheless, Pos said he felt his spirit.

Both Q-Tip and De La Soul were integral to the Native Tongues movement, a collective of Hip-Hop artists that blossomed in the late 1980s and early ’90s. Known for its Afrocentric lyrics, positive messages and eclectic sampling, it boasted influential members like A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Queen Latifah, Monie Love, Black Sheep and the Jungle Brothers, among others.

Q-Tip has collaborated with De La Soul on multiple tracks, including another De La Soul is Dead song, “A Roller Skating Jam Named ‘Saturdays.” Both acts have influenced each other’s work and supported each other throughout their careers.

Tiffany Haddish Angers Africans With Grocery Store Visit In Zimbabwe

Tiffany Haddish was impressed by one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World during her visit to Zimbabwe, but it was a grocery store that truly astounded the comedian.

Haddish found herself at the center of an online storm after expressing surprise at the presence of a well-stocked Pick n Pay grocery store in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Haddish wandered through the expansive aisles and commented on the availability of organic strawberries, sugar cane, and other goods, a reaction that ignited a flurry of criticism for perpetuating outdated stereotypes about Africa.

“Hey y’all, so I’m out here in Zimbabwe, and look at the grocery store,” Tiffany Haddish said in a video. “They got a grocery store. It’s beautiful. It’s beautiful. It’s a grocery store. Look at these organic strawberries. This what I love. They sell sugar cane. It is fire.”

Her observations on the pricing and size of the store added fuel to the fire.

“How much are these? $67. The price is different, but it do look like it’s expensive. Look at this grocery store. It’s huge. It’s absolutely humongous,” she observed, noting the store’s vastness and the variety of goods for sale.

Haddish’s comments drew ire on social media, with many pointing out that her astonishment missed the mark, suggesting a lack of awareness about the continent’s infrastructure and economic growth.

“I’m too confused on whether to laugh or feel sorry for her. It would be good to get @TiffanyHaddish to explain why she was surprised in seeing a grocery store in our beloved country? It’s not like we get our food through scavenging or hunting & gathering,” one user fumed on X.

“Why you gotta do this lame sh*t? You think we go to the bush to pluck leaves and feed on? I’m a big fan but this is a NO for me,” another user angrily tweeted at Haddish.

Her remarks, intended to express her delight, struck a nerve, highlighting a complex and often misrepresented narrative.

The actress and comedian has been spending time in Zimbabwe, partaking in activities that have generated a buzz.

She was seen dancing the night away at Harare’s upscale Pabloz Nite Club, causing quite a stir among locals and fans across social media.

In addition to her grocery store visit, Haddish ventured to Victoria Falls, where she expressed awe over witnessing the lunar rainbow, a rare natural phenomenon.

“For the 1st time in my whole life I got to see a Lunar Rainbow. At Victoria falls one of the seven wonders of the world,” she said.

Swae Lee Denounces Kamala Harris And Praises Donald Trump

Swae Lee of Hip-Hop duo Rae Sremmurd publicly denounced Vice President Kamala Harris while expressing allegiance to former President Donald Trump, urging his fans to reconsider their votes.

Lee emphasized the importance of thorough research before voting, arguing that Harris’s policies do not favor the Black community.

He particularly criticized her for endorsing legislation detrimental to Black individuals, stating, “My Black people she don’t do nothing but sign off” on harmful policies.

Swae Lee conveyed his frustration through an impassioned message on social media.

“I pay over millions in tax dollars every year this man sent it to a whole nother country!!! Those lil dollars that come off your checks they gave it away!!! Think about that.”

Further expressing his dismay, Swae Lee added, “The money we sent away every American citizen could’ve got minimal 200 grand think about that but I guess we don’t need the s### 🤷🏽‍♂️ and yall standing for Kamala. My black people she don’t do nothing but sign off on things against yall ….(us) voting just cuz you think she’s black.”

Lee argued that many people support Harris based on her racial identity rather than her policies.

He said, “You voting for her cuz you think she’s Black she’s Black and Indian she don’t lean to the Black side she just took an estate away from a Black woman yall don’t research go look at what Trump did for Blacks HBCUs all type s### media don’t show everything bro.”

The rapper’s remarks sparked a wave of diverse reactions in the comment section.

One user remarked, “They bout to call you retarded in the comments for making sense,” reflecting a sense of skepticism regarding rational debate.

Another supporter, @terrencek_williams , commented, “Some of these people in the comments don’t think for themselves,” aligning with Lee’s criticisms of Harris.

Conversely, user @majaporter rebelled against the misinformation circulating in Lee’s comments.

This user highlighted inaccuracies in Lee’s depictions of Harris’s record in law enforcement and her tenure as Attorney General, noting that much of the criticism arises from misunderstandings about her role and the complexities of the judicial system.

Public figures voicing their political stances often ignite fervent public discourse.

In Swae Lee’s case, his discouragement of support for Kamala Harris and endorsement of Donald Trump has amplified political debate within the Hip-Hop community, urging voters to scrutinize the impact of policies on their lives rather than relying on surface-level attributes.

Drake Is Team USA Hoopers’ Favorite Amid Steph Curry’s Kendrick Lamar Remarks

Drake’s music is seemingly the soundtrack to several key players on Team USA’s Men’s basketball team ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympic games.

FIBA’s recent Instagram post may count as a win for Drake in his rap battle with Kendrick Lamar, given how the short clip has set the basketball and music worlds abuzz. The international basketball federation shared a behind-the-scenes look at Team USA’s warm-up sessions, where NBA superstars Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum all revealed their favorite artist to listen to while prepping for games.

And of course, the aforementioned stars all credited the one and only Drake as their favorites— but not one single player in the video mentioned Kendrick Lamar. Derick White actually said J. Cole is his G.O.A.T. when it comes to his warm-up playlist. Kind of weird, honestly.

The post quickly went viral, with fans and media outlets alike speculating on the significance of Drake’s universal appeal among the basketball elite. Durant, Booker and Tatum were seen jamming out to Drake’s hits—from “God’s Plan” to “Laugh Now Cry Later,” solidifying his status as the ultimate hype man for these top-tier athletes.

However, the harmonious vibes hit a sour note during Team USA’s friendly exhibition matches, when NBA Champion Steph Curry expressed his discontent with the music selection. According to an article published earlier this month, Curry had a pointed reaction to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”—a notorious diss track aimed at Drake—being played on repeat.

“It’s not the only song in America,” Curry joked, clearly frustrated with the overplayed track. His teammate, LeBron James, however, didn’t seem to mind the repetition. “I love it,” James responded with a shrug, though he did concede he was ready for “something else.”

By the way, Curry said he listens to Lecrae when he’s getting shots up.

Music mogul Jermaine Dupri weighed in on the debate, sharing his perspective on the viral incident. “Music is all about setting the right vibe,” Dupri said. “Drake’s music resonates because it’s versatile and universal. But I get where Steph is coming from. Too much of anything can be overwhelming.”

The ongoing musical tug-of-war among Team USA players has fans eagerly watching for the next playlist update. Will Drake’s reign continue, or will Curry’s plea for variety usher in a new soundtrack for the road to the Paris Olympics?

Snoop Dogg Called Out By Simone Biles’ Mom During 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremony

Snoop Dogg is overseas in Paris right now, commentating on the 2024 Olympics for NBC and Peacock. During an opening-ceremony interview with Ronald and Nellie Biles, the adoptive parents of decorated gymnast Simone Biles, Snoop Dogg got more than he bargained for when Nellie called him out on live television.

Apparently, Snoop Dogg snubbed Nellie and Simone in 2010 during a New York City Times Square outing. As Nellie remembered, “I will never forget that we met you in Times Square. 2010. And you said—’cause we asked for a picture—two minutes. One, two and you were gone [laughs].”

Snoop Dogg laughed along as the topic moved to Simone’s schedule. They then FaceTimed Simone, who was getting some much needed rest before her events.

In the lead-up to the 2024 Paris Olympics opening-ceremony, Snoop Dogg’s involvement took a particularly symbolic turn with his participation in the Olympic Torch Relay.

Known for his charismatic and laid-back persona, Snoop Dogg’s selection as a torchbearer added a modern and culturally resonant touch to the traditional ceremony. As he carried the torch, his presence brought an element of entertainment and laughter, bridging the worlds of sports and pop culture. His participation not only honored the spirit of the Olympics but also highlighted the event’s inclusivity and its ability to bring together diverse figures from various fields.

Snoop Dogg’s journey with the Olympic torch was met with widespread media coverage, reflecting his status as a beloved global icon. His involvement underscores the unifying power of the Olympics, showcasing how the event transcends athletic competition to celebrate broader cultural connections.

“It was emotional for all of us to see the champ holding that torch and walking up there,” Snoop Dogg said of the honor, alluding to late boxer Muhammad Ali, who won an Olympic gold medal in 1960 and drew tears from the world when he lit the Olympic flame at the 1996 Atlanta Games. “This is my own version of it. I don’t want to get too emotional, but I know that this is special.

“This says a lot about America as far as where we’re at in this world […] I would have never dreamed of nothing like this.”

Busta Rhymes Gets Emotional Over Hollywood Walk of Fame Announcement

Busta Rhymes will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2025, an announcement that prompted an emotional reaction from the Hip-Hop legend. His excitement was palpable as he reflected on the significance of the honor.

“I’m not gonna lie, it was probably one of the most prestigious moments, one of the most emotional moments, one of the most dream come true moments,” he told Variety. “It’s really one of the things you never think you’ll ever get.”

In an industry where countless legendary artists have gone their entire careers without receiving such accolades, Busta’s recognition stands out. The “Touch It” hitmaker pointed out that many influential figures have never received accolades like a Grammy or MTV Award.

“There are incredible icons in this world that have never gotten a Grammy, they’ve never gotten an MTV Award,” he added. “They’ve never gotten a Hollywood star. They’ve never been inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And they could’ve lived to be 90 years old and still never got it. They could have been professionally recording for 70 years and still never got it.”

The 52-year-old, whose real name is Trevor Smith, has charted a career marked by artistic achievement and popular success. Despite 12 Grammy nominations and 16 nods from the MTV Video Music Awards, victories in these categories have eluded him.

The upcoming honor is a particularly poignant moment in his career, as Busta acknowledges he’s in a prosperous phase of his life.

“It’s just such a profound moment for me, when I still am at a stage in my life where I am on an upswing of business, upswing of creativity, an upswing of happiness and upswing of joy. I’m probably in the best place in my life.”

The class of 2025 for the Hollywood Walk of Fame will also include notable names like Keith Urban, Green Day, Prince, Jessica Chastain, Colin Farrell and Jane Fonda, among others.

Kim Kardashian Reveals Why She Dumped Mystery Ex: “I Will Bulldoze Whatever Is In My Way”

Kim Kardashian has opened up about her decision to end her relationship with a mystery ex, attributing the split to her “fight or flight” instincts.

In Thursday’s (July 25) season finale of The Kardashians, the 43-year-old reality TV star shared that insights gained from therapy, specifically recommended by her sister Kourtney Kardashian, led her to recognize how these tendencies were impacting her romantic life.

“When someone tells me not to do something I planned on, I physically feel like, ‘You’re getting in my way,'” she explained. “And I will bulldoze whatever is in my way because you’re not going to tell me to change my schedule.”

Reflecting on her past relationship, Kim Kardashian shared how similar dynamics played out with her unidentified ex.

“Like when [redacted] would tell me, ‘You work so much, why don’t you just take a week off?’ I’m like, ‘Get out of here.'” Kim Kardashian revealed that disregarding her ex’s advice was a turning point, noting, “That was the beginning of the end.”

The confession came after rumors in 2023 linked Kim Kardashian to a mysterious man, referred to as “Fred” by Kourtney Kardashian’s ex Scott Disick during a previous episode of the reality show.

In her interview segment of the show, Kim Kardashian emphasized the influence of her behavior on the relationship’s demise, capturing a poignant theme resonating with many of her viewers: the inner struggles we often face in the pursuit of professional and personal balance.

Lupe Fiasco Shuts Down Kendrick Lamar Feud Rumors

Kendrick Lamar is supposedly not at odds with Lupe Fiasco despite circulating rumors of a feud. The revelation came during a Twitter (X) Spaces chat last weekend, when Lupe addressed fans’ questions about any lingering animosity with K. Dot.

Known offstage as Wasalu Jaco, Lupe emphasized his admiration for the “Not Like Us” rapper, clarifying that he has no quarrel with Lamar.

“I’m a Kendrick fan for more than his music,” Lupe stated. “I like his creativity and conceptualization. And the decisions that he makes. I also like his impact into the culture for Black folks. I like that he inspires Black folks. That’s why I never said I don’t like him.”

Lupe continued, reflecting on his sentiments towards Kendrick and other prominent figures in the industry.

“Even if I don’t like all his songs or listen to all his songs—and same thing with Drake—I understand their impact into the culture and I would never, ever, ever—because for me it’s us first—ever, ever disparage.”

The conversation, however, didn’t stop there. Lupe went on to challenge fans who believed otherwise to present evidence of any past feud.

“I don’t have a problem with dude,” he added. “Show me where I’ve explicitly said I don’t like him. Show me that. Then we can move on.”

Kendrick Lamar, now 37, has remained silent on Lupe’s statements, neither confirming nor denying the rapper’s claims of peaceful coexistence.

An intriguing twist in the discussion occurred when Lupe expressed his admiration for the creative environment fostered by Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), Kendrick Lamar’s initial record label.

“One thing that I wish I had,” Lupe said. “This is me being open and vulnerable that I’ve always looked at like, ‘Man, I wish I had that.’ I wish I had that creative space that they created at TDE.”

Non-Spoiler Review For “Deadpool & Wolverine”

“Deadpool & Wolverine” is the third entry in this successful franchise, directed by Shawn Levy (“Real Steel,” “Free Guy”). Ryan Reynolds returns as Deadpool, but is now joined by the legendary Hugh Jackman back in the iconic role of Wolverine.

As the film begins, Wade Wilson hangs up his Deadpool costume to take on a more normal, civilian life. However, when an existential threat arises, Wade is recruited to suit up once again, find a certain someone (wink wink), and convince that person to help him save the world as he knew it. The less you know about this film going in, the better off you will be.

“Deadpool & Wolverine” is an extremely fun and entertaining film that delivers exactly what I expected. The Deadpool films have always been comedic in tone, but I found this entry to be the funniest of the trilogy by far. With a screenplay that is certainly tongue-in-cheek, this movie is very self-aware of what it is and features jokes, gags, and fourth wall breaks delivered at a fast and furious pace. If you loved “Deadpool” and “Deadpool 2,” you will undoubtedly love this one as well.

The film’s jokes aim at everything and everyone involved, from the actors’ real lives to 20th Century Fox, Disney, the MCU, and more. Avoiding spoilers for this film is highly recommended. “Deadpool & Wolverine” is packed with major cameos, surprises, and Easter eggs that will hit even harder if you experience them for the first time on the big screen.

This is the first MCU film with an R rating. Any fears that the content would be watered down due to Disney being Marvel’s parent company can be put to rest. “Deadpool & Wolverine” is the most adult-oriented MCU film you will have ever seen, not just in terms of language but also because of the gratuitous violence on display in its fierce action sequences. Although the film’s violence maintains a somewhat over-the-top feel, there is plenty of hard-hitting action, gore, and blood on screen.

The ensemble cast does a fine job in their roles. However, the film’s co-leads are the biggest attraction here, and they both steal the show. The buddy-cop level of chemistry between Reynolds and Jackman is off the charts. Ryan Reynolds slips right back into the role of Deadpool effortlessly, reminding us that he knows this character like the back of his hand. From his comedic timing and delivery to his action prowess, Reynolds once again nails it in the third chapter of this Deadpool trilogy.

Additionally, Hugh Jackman does a phenomenal job in his return and seems to be having the most fun he’s ever had portraying Wolverine. While his portrayal here isn’t as dramatic or soulful as his masterful turn in 2017’s “Logan,” Jackman still brings versatility, emotional sincerity, and a ton of brutal, Wolverine-centric action. Jackman’s wholehearted effort in this film, at his age and length of time in the role, reinforces that he is one of the greatest to ever suit up in live-action superhero films.

If I had any gripes, the pacing of the story felt a bit rushed due to everything the film was trying to accomplish in its roughly two-hour runtime. Lastly, while the film’s villains were serviceable, they weren’t very memorable and were largely secondary to the film’s co-leads and epic surprises.

Despite those minor gripes, I still had an absolute blast with this film. No, it doesn’t take itself seriously, and due to its irreverent nature, it is not designed to be a dramatic exploration into the psyche of these characters. However, it does entertain by delivering clever humor, mind-blowing cameos and surprises, exciting thrills, and blistering action sequences. That is exactly what I wanted going into this film, and that is exactly what this film delivered.

“Deadpool & Wolverine” ultimately does for the Fox/Marvel universe what “Spider-Man: No Way Home” did for the Sony/Marvel universe. It serves as a fitting love letter to the origins of where these cinematic portrayals came from. Director Shawn Levy has presented us with a film that is insanely fun, exciting, and full of fan service, yet still manages to transition into a heartfelt story about purpose and the importance of family.

“Deadpool & Wolverine” is now playing in theaters everywhere and is one of my favorite films of the year. Highly recommended—enjoy!

Lil Rel Howery Debunks Ozempic Rumors After Dramatic Weight Loss

Actor/comedian Lil Rel Howery faced online speculation about his weight loss methods last weekend, when he appeared at the Los Angeles premiere of his latest film, Harold and the Purple Crayon. Social media erupted with claims that Howery used Ozempic, a medication for Type 2 diabetes often linked to celebrity weight loss.

Howery quickly took to Instagram to address these rumors directly. In a heartfelt post on Tuesday (July 23), the Get Out star emphasized that his transformation was achieved naturally. ”

“This is my own appreciation post for myself,” he wrote in the caption. “I’ve worked really hard on myself the last 5 years physically, mentally, spiritually, professionally and personally. I’m so proud of myself. This is the best I’ve ever felt and looked in my whole life. Honestly.”

Howery detailed the lifestyle changes that contributed to his renewed vitality, including quitting alcohol, adopting a healthier diet, regular exercise, and improving his mental and spiritual well-being. “To stop drinking, eating better, working out almost every single day, writing, building a closer relationship with God, therapy and honestly accountability has taken my life to the next level of pure happiness.”

The recent chatter around Ozempic, a weekly injection for people with Type 2 diabetes, stems from its increasing use among celebrities for weight management. Though Howery didn’t refer to the medication by name, he insisted he achieved his weight loss through discipline and hard work.

“Whatever you do, please do for yourself and if you can don’t take the short cut really put the work in this is a whole just straight hard work nothing else and that’s the honest to God Truth,” he added. “et me be an example of truly putting the work in.”

His transparency garnered praise from peers in the entertainment industry. “Looking great Rel!” commented comedian Wanda Sykes, while actor Terry Crews added, “You look fantastic man.”

Harold and the Purple Crayon, showcasing Howery’s hard-earned transformation, opens in U.S. theaters on August 2.

Kevin Hart Defends Value Of Roasts After Tom Brady Expresses Regret Over Netflix Special

In the glitzy world of comedy and celebrity, contrasting emotions surfaced as Kevin Hart empathized with Tom Brady’s reflections on a roast that upset his children. At the center of this discussion was the comedian’s firm belief in the necessity of satire, despite the hurtful aftermath.

“Roasts are necessary and of value,” Hart, 45, stated during an interview with Bleacher Report. The sentiments arose after Brady, 46, opened up about his discomfort over the effect some jokes had on his family during the Netflix special on May 5. Brady specifically noted his regret regarding how his children were disturbed by quips about his exes, Gisele Bündchen and Bridget Moynahan.

Hart’s perspective was notably shaped by an understanding of Brady’s paternal instincts.

“I can side with Tom and see where he’s coming from and just him wanting to protect the idea of family and the conversation attached to that,” Hart conveyed. “That’s probably where that’s coming from. When he says he regretted doing it… I think he’s saying, ‘I could have tapered it a little differently.'”

Moreover, Hart emphasized the crucial role of comedy in challenging societal norms. “It also, what it did for comedy, and our climate of sensitivity, I think was necessary and valuable,” he asserted. His reflection underscores the challenging balance comedians must strike between humor and sensitivity.

Brady’s candid comments came during his conversation on The Pivot podcast, where he shared the emotional toll that the roast took on his loved ones.

“It’s the hardest part about the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and then all of a sudden you realize, ‘I wouldn’t do that again’ because of the way that affected actually the people that I care about the most in the world,” Brady reflected. He highlighted how jokes targeting personal subjects had a ripple effect on his children, observing how differently he might approach such a scenario today.

Indeed, blending humor with the reality of personal life is a nuanced art. Brady’s and Moynahan’s son, John “Jack” Edward Thomas, now 16, alongside his children with Bündchen—Benjamin Rein, 14, and Vivian Lake, 11—felt the brunt of these public jests.

Hart’s acknowledgment of Brady’s regrets coupled with his advocacy for comedic freedom offers a thought-provoking glimpse into the delicate juggling act of humor and empathy in modern media.

Fanatics Fest in total, is taking place from August 16-18 at New York City’s Javits Center. Despite the fact that its the event’s first-ever rendition, it’s expected to attract the crème de la crème of the sports and entertainment industries.

Attendees can look forward to appearances by Tom Brady, Kevin Durant, Peyton and Eli Manning, Allen Iverson and Spike Lee, among others. Cactus Jack mastermind Travis Scott is also expected to make an appearance at the festival, which is an exciting development considering Quavo’s recent announcement.

In a post Quavo shared on Instagram earlier this month, a short snippet of an unreleased track featuring Scott played in the background as his yacht sped on the waters of the open sea. Though the quality of the clip wasn’t at all ideal, it appears as though Quavo may have a more refined product on his hands as he teased in the caption, “Thinking HJ2? Tag Jack!”

Additionally, fans should likely expect surprise appearances from additional artists given Rubin’s extensive network. The Fanatics CEO has become known for his connections with high-profile figures in both the Hip-Hop and sports worlds.

His recent White Party, attended by the likes of JAY-Z, Beyoncé and Meek Mill, exemplifies the level of star power that Rubin can attract. Speculation is rife about potential surprise guests at Fanatics Fest, with names such as Drake, LeBron James and Kevin Hart being floated given their recent associations with Rubin.

With Fanatics Fest promising an unparalleled blend of sports, culture, and entertainment, fans are eagerly anticipating the inaugural event. The festival will celebrate the essence of sports fandom with a variety of activities, including celebrity and athlete panels, autograph sessions, meet-and-greets, exclusive merchandise drops, live trading card breaks and immersive brand experiences.

Keith Sweat Shades 50 Cent’s Humor & Harmony Festival After Rapper Puts Him On Blast

50 Cent and Keith Sweat engaged in a fiery yet hilarious social media exchange after the G-Unit mogul trolled the R&B legend with a video remarking on his latest achievement.

On Friday (July 26), 50 Cent posted a video on Instagram, sharing a phone call he had with a member of his team about Keith Sweat potentially missing the upcoming Humor and Harmony Weekend festival in Shreveport, Louisiana.

As the video went viral, Keith Sweat didn’t hold back. He took to Instagram with his own video, playfully trolling him by referencing lyrics from 50 Cent’s classic hit “How To Rob.”

“@50cent Hey Fif I gotta respond to you I’m definitely not coming to Shreveport now,” Sweat’s caption read. “I just remember you said this about me back in the day. I’ll see y’all in NYC Aug 3rd when I get to the key to the city. You need to be there with me and everything is squashed. Love You Shreveport LMFAO #50Cent #KeithSweat.”

In his video, Sweat continued to tease over the probable outcome in Shreveport should he not make the key ceremony in New York.

“Hold, hold on, hold up,” he said. “I just know back in the day, I just remember back in the day he said he going to have me staring down the of his barrel of his nine—what the, oh hell no. I know. I know, I ain’t coming to Shreveport now, man. 50. I’m going to just zoom this one man. Come on man. You just put it where you want.”

Sweat concluded the comical video by giving 50 Cent a glimpse of what his Zoom performance would be like while singing his hit song “Make It Last.”

According to Sweat, he informed Fifty’s team he may forego the festival due to the fact he recently opted into the ceremony to receive the Key to the City of New York from Mayor Eric Adams on August 3. Of course, 50 Cent had a field day and kicked off his medium rare roast of the “Nobody” vocalist with a bang.

“This @keithsweat is tripping, he getting Diddy’s Key to the city Aug 3,” 50 Cent wrote in the caption of his post. “They blocking off streets in Harlem for him. Now if he don’t show up in Shreveport, we ain’t f###### with him no more. @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi.”

In the video, 50 Cent continued to express his frustration, teasing that Mayor Adams is giving Sweat the key that he forced Diddy to remit amid his mounting sexual assault allegations.

“This n###a Keith Sweat is tripping man,” he said. “N###a talking about he not going to come to the Humor and Harmony thing. He going to do the show from his bedroom. He’s doing the show on Zoom from his bedroom because you’re not coming to the, I can’t make it city.

“I can’t make it to him. Getting the key to tell that m###########. I said they took Diddy’s key to the city. Eric Adams took Diddy’s key to the city and giving it to Keith Sweat and now he’s acting like because I can’t make it, I can’t be there on the third. Man, that n####’s crazy, yo. These RB n##### is crazy. Crazy huh?”

It appears as though the thought that Sweat may not make the festival was too much to bare for 50 Cent, who quickly switched up his code in a subsequent post in which he reposted the R&B singer’s video.

“oh no, I was tripping when I wrote that, yo ass better be in Shreveport,” he wrote in the caption. “we need that grown and sexy s### ! @keithsweat stop playing get your ass on da jet man. @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi”

Sweat, however, maintained his disposition and continued trolling 50 Cent in the comment section of the post, saying, “Went from how to rob to how to beg real quick.”

Fans were left in stitches as the playful banter between the two icons continued to escalate, turning an ordinary Friday into a day of unexpected entertainment. Whether or not Keith Sweat will follow through with his Zoom performance remains to be seen. Either way, both stars have already given fans a show to remember with their social media showdown.
