Lauren London paid tribute to her late boyfriend Nipsey Hussle via social media.
The actress reflected on Nipsey Hussle’s passing in an Instagram post on Friday (March 31). Lauren London described her anxiety over facing the anniversary of his death.
“I hold my breath all of March knowing I have to face the memory of the day you transitioned,” she wrote. “Holding on to ancient wisdom but the pain is the pain and nothing was ever the same… Eternal Being Ermias Asghedom I Love You.”
Lauren London included a quote from Baha’i sacred writings in her remembrance of Nipsey Hussle. Her post featured two photos of the slain rapper.
Nipsey Hussle, whose real name was Ermias Asghedom, was shot and killed outside his clothing store in Los Angeles in March 2019. He was 33.
Last year, a jury convicted Eric Holder Jr. of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Nipsey Hussle. Jurors also found Holder guilty of attempted voluntary manslaughter, assault with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a felon.
A judge sentenced Holder to 60 years to life in prison in February. Holder was not eligible for the death penalty.
Rapper and battle rap league owner John John Da Don has announced that he is about to embark on a talent search tour called the Next Top Bull.
While roaming talent searches are not new—The Ultimate Rap League’s “Crucible” travels from state to state looking for new talent and his best friend Hitman Holla just launched his “Bags and Bodies” talent search reality show— there is always something special when JJDD puts his stamp on a product.
AllHipHop.com spoke directly to the Yonkers emcee and he told us exclusively to share why he decided to do a talent search.
“One thing I always get asked besides ‘when is your next battle?’ is ‘how can I get on Bullpen?'” he said. “So now we are doing a tour to go find new talent from all four corners of the country to push through our platform.”
Adding this was why he actually created the platform. He said, “Bullpen Battle League was created for the up & coming battle rappers that feel/felt counted out. We wanted to give them a platform that allows them room to grow, find themselves, and potentially be the next battle rap star.”
“Being that I started from the entry point in battle rap and was able to excel to become one of the top names in battle rap, I have the experience that all up-and-coming battle rappers could learn from. Most league owners aren’t and were never battle rappers, so they can’t relate to the battlers the way I can,” John John shared before getting off to square up details for his April 16th Pendemic card.
He made the announcement on social media: “People always ask how can they get on @bullpenbattleleague here’s how❗️#NextTopBull tour 2023.”
Additionally, if anyone is interested they should email a submission to Ne*********@***il.com to get a chance to be on one of the industry’s most solid platforms.
John John Da Don says, “We looking for new talent to push through the @bullpenbattleleague platform”
The bulls in JJDD’s pen are always on go. Names like Loso and Bad Newz are some of the top battlers in the culture.
The talent search plans to visit the following cities: July 30 in Yonkers, NY, and Sept. 17 in Atlanta, GA.
Dates to be determined are as follows: Aug. 5, Aug. 13, Aug. 20, Aug. 27, Sept. 3, and Sept. 10.
Winners will walk away with $1,000 and a spot on the league.
Pendemic is one of the league’s annual biggest cards.
This marque event will have the following battles: Geechi Gotti vs. Bad Newz; Loso vs. Ms. Hustle; Clone vs. Ave; Shotgun Suge vs. Bonus; Shooney Day Rapper vs. Cashflow Rizzy; Xcel vs. D Flamez, Reggie P vs. SuperBlack; Young Herb vs. Seven J; Philly Haze vs. Alias and OG Grizzly vs. Moon.
Rapper Tay-K is celebrating a recent victory even from behind bars.
On Thursday, March 23, the chart-topper’s 2017 song “The Race” reportedly just surpassed 1 billion streams, according to Daily Rap Facts.
The Texas native was unable to celebrate as most artists would by partying with friends and family— but he did make sure those who support him knew his gratitude for them standing by him.
He actually got deep and spoke about the changes he is making in his life. He also placed emphasis on growing up in the system aiding some of the bad decisions he made in his very young life.
Tay-K wrote a letter to fans from his jail cell that reads:
“Yo! I’m sitting here thinking about all my fans. I love and miss y’all. I know there’s a lot that I haven’t directly spoke on and there R many things my fans know but I’m not sure everybody else does. I’ve been here for 5 ½ years now and I feel indebted to y’all for going so crazy behind me.
It’s still crazy to me that I never had a chance to live outside as an adult. I’ve been locked up and in and out of the “justice” and CPS system 4 my whole life. Not sure if y’all know but I got sentenced as an adult to 55 years in prison for a crime where I wasn’t even the shooter. I wasn’t even alleged to have a gun. I was never even suspected to have pulled a trigger or hurt anyone. I was young and didn’t have no positive figures around.
Now that I’m older, I know how important focusing on leading by example is. I love my fans and I don’t want any 1 to think I’m promoting or really recommending violence. That’s why I really dedicated a lot of my time in here to using the success of my music to have a positive impact on other young artists, even if it is something small like taking a phone call or writing a letter to keep them positively inspired, regardless of my situation. The movement is Eternal. #RR4L.”
There is one factor that can change all of this: MONEY! There is a strong possibility that we can get things moving with MONEY! We need Timbaland and Swizzy to get several BAGS and then present them to The Lox and The Dips! Let us begin!!!
Seriously, we linked up with The Lox last summer and they really seemed OVER the Verzuz. The world be about four Verzuz for Kiss. I could be wrong, but I think I am right. Kiss is just talking. Nobody else is down for this. We have not seen Freekey Zekey since!
Sheek Louch got some new music out. Styles P got a new album. It looks as if Jim is really the most competitive dude out of Dipset. Cam is a sports talk show host now, running with Ma$e.
Recently one of Hip-Hop’s most iconic rappers and actors, Ice-T took the time to speak with AllHipHop in an exclusive interview while promoting his new iHeartPodcast, Ice-T’s Daily Game.
Speaking candidly on a host of topics ranging from his new iHeartPodcastto his acting roles on Dick Wolf’s shows like Law and Order SVU and New York Undercover, Ice-T opened up and shared information for the first time on his new album, The Legend of ICE-T “Crime Stories” Vol 1 & 2
The compilation project will feature six new storytelling songs to add to his iconic catalog of music, while also throwing in some classics from back in the day.
“I got a rap project coming out and it’s called…First, I’ve never spoken on it yet… It’s called, The Legend of ICE-T “Crime Stories” Vol 1 & 2” Ice-T explained to AllHipHop.
“It’s a compilation of all my story rhymes from all eight albums and about six new songs that are all story-based. You know, they say Slick Rick is the king of stories. I’m coming for that throne. Wait till you hear this. These are all my story records from ‘6 ’N the Mornin’’ to ‘Midnight’ and all these adventures put into one album. It’s a double vinyl release, it has two vinyls and it’s gonna be like a classic collector’s piece. The reason it’s titled The Legend of ICE-T is because a lot of things people believe about me are legend.”
Continuing to fan the flames of his own legendary status Ice-T elaborated on what motivated him to release his crime stories compilation.
“Legend is part false. You know, it’s like the night I got in the squabble in the club and I knocked one dude out, where a legend says it was three dudes.” Ice-Tsaid laughing.
“A lot of this stuff that people believe about me are lyrics that aren’t necessarily true, but we’ll let the legend continue. So that’s what The Legend of ICE-T: Crime Stories is about, be on the lookout for that, that should be coming out within the next two to three months.”
WhileIce-Tcurrently holds the record for the longest-running male actor on a TV series with his role on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, he still has no intentions of slowing down on the music side of the business.
In addition to his rap album he’s been steadily at work with his Grammy Award-winning heavy metal rock group Body Count.
“I kinda like the fact that in this Rap world, they don’t even know that I’m over here touring for hundreds of thousands of people doing Body Count shows. I kind of like the feeling of somebody thinking, well, ‘Ice-T’s played out, Ice-T is over with,’ and I’m making more money than they are, like, I dig it. I have a motto on my Daily Game Podcast. ‘If they sleeping on you, let ’em rest, man. Let ’em rest.’ But Body Count is right now in the studio doing Merciless the new album.”

The Hip-Hop world is mourning the life of yet another young rising star— lost to the street life that he raps about in his music. Rapper BTB Savage was brutally killed on Thursday, March 30.
The death seems to be in retaliation for a murder of a person he claims tried to rob him and his girlfriend, and the disrespect he gave those grieving his enemy’s death. Hours before he was fatally shot, he posted a picture of himself allegedly standing in a pool of blood of the man he is rumored to have killed two months ago.
To see the graphic images too disrespectful for publishing, click here.
A passerby captured video footage of BTB Savage’s murder scene and posted it online. It appears to be a dead body on the ground that people believe to be the rapper. Within minutes it went viral with people commenting on the death, payback, and notions of street karma.
According to sources, BTB Savage took to his social media and made posts where he bragged about killing the person.
There is NO way I just watched that man interview last night and he’s DEAD this morning 🫢 NO WAY !!! And Vlad asked him twice if not three times was he moving away from his town for safety ☹️ #btbsavagepic.twitter.com/UJ2de8daI7
Posting in a crime scene is the stupidest s### you could do. He was a product of living that life, and death is a option. He’s already a target, he taunted for clout and found out irl
Life as a savage shouldn’t be so rough. Got damn. BTB Savage was killed mere moments after posting a picture at a crime scene that involved his girlfriend. This ain’t funny so don’t you dare laugh.
BTB Savage is a rapper you may or may not have heard of, so spare me with the “WHO” comments. He is popular amongst the young and tapped in folks. I won’t get into his music, Google that. Here’s the deal: roughly a month ago, somebody hit up homie to do a song, according to my sources. When the person got to the spot, which happened to be BTB Savage’s girlfriend’s house, the dude tried to rob BTB. There was a fight and struggle.
When the smoke cleared, BTB’s GIRL came down and blasted the would be thief straight into the afterlife. Tragic and sad no matter how you slice it. She shot and killed the dude. If I am correct, BTB sustained injuries in that fracas but to his left arm—nothing fatal. What he does next is what apparently led to this death.
He posts this picture.
Unfortunately: should be a pic here, but the powers that be made me take it down.
BTB decides to post a picture of the scene where the alleged robber was slain—BLOOD EVERYWHERE! This was YESTERDAY, PEOPLE. Within hours, that man is dead. What he failed to realize—somehow or another—is that Houston is all real. I feel sorry for this young dude because made a fatal error.
They shot his ish UP!
The internet has some info. Basically (and allegedly), two people pulled up and opened fire at BTB’s car. Another report said there may have been as many as 12 people present and two shooters. Anyway, it was a Subaru and that’s pretty much that. I doubt anybody is doing that in their own car. Regardless, life comes at you fast and furious.
Believe it or not, old boy did an interview with DJ Vlad talking about the shooting and how it happened. It tells a bit of a different story. It reportedly says he was spending quality time with his girlfriend and his child when the robbers broke into the residence. They were fighting over a gun and then his girlfriend reportedly blasted and killed one of the men. That makes it more strange that he would taunt the would-be robbers.

I ask them to come to church with me. They’re like, ‘How far is it?’ And I’m like, ‘Oh God.’ Because it’s actually really far. I drive an hour and five minutes to my church and an hour and thirty minutes back every Sunday.”
In addition to making physical changes, Angela White also made spiritual changes in her life. She recently shared images of herself getting baptized with her social media following. The religious ritual took place on May 11, White’s 34th birthday.

Brooklyn rapper Lola Brooke broke out onto the Hip Hop scene with her “Don’t Play with It” single. Brooke then earned a co-sign from fellow Brooklynite and rap legend Lil Kim.
MEFeatermagazine tapped Lola Brooke for the outlet’s latest cover story titled “The Heiress of New York.” In the article, the Arista recording artist showed love back to Lil Kim and teased a potential song with a Philadelphia-bred rhymer.
“You have DMX, Jay -Z, Foxy, Lil Wayne, Missy, Kim, Eve, and Busta Rhymes. Meek Mill is one of my biggest inspirations, and we might already have something in the tuck. Tell Meek we need to tap back in, actually,” said Brooke.
Brooke also displayed her love for NYC culture by partnering with Timberland for the footwear brand’s Hip Hop Royalty Boot campaign. She told MEFeater how another rap star from her hometown inspired her to start rapping.
“One of my memories of discovering my love for rap was seeing 50 Cent’s video for ‘Wanksta.’ He showed us something that I could relate to. It was so New York, so raw. You can still watch that video today and feel the energy,” expressed Lola Brooke.
In addition to dropping her own singles like “Don’t Play with It” featuring Billy B, Lola Brooke appeared on Flo Milli’s “Conceited” along with Maiya The Don. A remix for “Don’t Play with It” came out on Match 24. Latto and Yung Miami are featured on the new version.
Proud Houston native Megan Thee Stallion played a starring role in the Houston Astros’ 2023 season-opener against the Chicago White Sox on Thursday night (Mar. 30).
The Grammy Award winner was tasked with throwing out the ceremonial first pitch for the World Series champions at the Astros’ home opener.
According to the commentary, Megan Thee Stallion was throwing strikes during her pre-game practice session. Donning a white Astros jersey tied at the front and matching white pants, she confidently stepped up to the pitcher’s mound.
After taking in the moment, the H-Town Hottie joked that she was scared before throwing a pitch to David Hensley. Unfortunately, she missed the intended target and landed just outside the left-handed batter’s box.
However, despite their exciting opener, the game didn’t end well for the reigning champs. The White Sox won the game over the Astors with a 3-2 victory. Check out Meg’s pitching prowess in the clip below.

Latto took to social media shortly after the broadcast to hear fans’ feedback. She also wanted to clear up a few questions about the episode.
While she didn’t state what prompted the clarification, Latto made sure fans knew she recorded the episode with Chlöe more than six months ago. “Hey jackasses! This #777Radio Chloe episode was filmed in September! 💡🤯” she tweeted.
The Ohio native also sought “constructive” critique from her followers, with added emphasis on the “constructive.”
“How can I be a better host? Like frfr!” Latto asked before adding that she still has episodes to film. “So I’d love to hear sum CONSTRUCTIVE criticism from ppl who actually watched/listened to the episode!”
How can I be a better host? Like frfr! I still have some episodes to film so I’d love to hear sum CONSTRUCTIVE criticism from ppl who actually watched/listened to the episode! #777Radio 🎙
One fan suggested Latto “Listen more without interrupting the guests,” claiming she “cut Chlöe off a lot to either agree with her or add your own story.”
Latto took the 777 Radio feedback graciously, stating, “I said this to myself too lol I agree 🥴 NOTED! ✍”
Latto also expressed relief at finally airing the show and promised the next 777 Radio episode is more current.
“Omg I loveeee it!” she declared when asked how she felt about having her own platform. “I’ve been sitting on this for some time now handling the business (hence why I told y’all Chloe episode was filmed in September) so I’m happy it’s finally out! The next episode was recently filmed tho so it’ll be more current.”
She also confirmed her younger sister, model and influencer Brooklyn Nikole, will appear at some point, but her next guest “will be a female rapper.”
50 Cent is unhappy with a new biopic that tells the tale of Tonesa Welch, titled The First Lady of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story.
According to recent reports, the movie will air on BET+ and is directed by Fiddy’s ex-girlfriend Vivica A. Fox. Judge Greg Mathis and Tressa Azarel Smallwood are executive producing the movie. The real-life Tonesa Welch inspired the character of Markisha Taylor in the 50 Cent series BMF.
However, 50 Cent isn’t a fan of the project, its title, or his ex’s involvement in it. He also can’t grasp why why the reality TV judge is in on the action. On Thursday evening (Mar. 30), the G-Unit honcho took to Instagram to air his grievances, starting with the name of the show. He shared a report about the upcoming biopic and listed his complaints in the caption.
“This should say 263 not BMF,’ he wrote, suggesting Tonesa Welch was the First Lady of the offshoot organization 263 rather than BMF itself. “What the f### is this man ! ☕️🐸 “ he added before moving on to his former girlfriend and Judge Mathis.
“Vivica ugh, So your not gonna ever leave me alone hun? 👀and what the f### is judge Mathis doing in this mix😳I’m done, Im done with all of you ni66as. LOL,” he added.
Meanwhile, Tonesa Welch recently called out the writers of the Starz series for their portrayal of the character she inspired. In the show, Markisha is in a relationship with teenage high schooler Terry Flenory.
“WTF who wrote this part of the Story. [Terry] 17 I’m 26 years my husband a [kingpin] but I’m having sex with a 17 year old who’s supposedly still in high school,” she questioned in an Instagram post last month. “I guess they have Markisha looking like a pedophile.”
Three men suspected of jumping Tekashi 6ix9ine while he was working out are in custody.
Several assailants were said to have ambushed 6ix9ine while he was in the sauna at a South Florida LA Fitness gym on March 1. According to his attorney, the controversial artist suffered extensive injuries in the unprovoked attack. He tried to defend himself against the assailants, but he was outnumbered and ended up badly beaten.
6ix9ine didn’t have security with him at the time. The rapper was rushed to a local hospital and treated for a blood clot in his eye and multiple fractured ribs.
Footage of the beatdown surfaced online, as did recordings of the suspected attackers in the moments before approaching the rapper. While many theories emerged surrounding the identity of the suspects, cops believe they have the attackers in custody.
A spokesperson for the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office confirmed to TMZ that cops arrested three men for assaulting and robbing the New York native. Rafael Medina, Jr., Octavious Medina and Anthony Maldonado were booked and processed into county jail on Thursday evening (March v30).

However, the notorious attention-seeker is not laying low and seems to be making a musical comeback. A video circulated online of 6ix9ine wrapped in a Cuban flag while crooning in Spanish, apparently recording a new music video.
He was accused of causing chaos and “humiliating” the country by tossing money at fans while visiting last month. The Cuban government reportedly shut down the internet for hours in February to stop the videos of the incident from circulating.
Grammy-nominated artist and entrepreneur Spice recently released her new single and music video, “Spice Marley,” on all music streaming platforms.
A departure from her renowned raw lyricism, the new track gives fans a view into Spice’s softer side, as her first ever reggae single – an homage to the ‘pioneer of Reggae,’ Bob Marley, and her home in Jamaica.

“Damn Winos!” Tasha K wrote on social media. “We lost the appeal… against #CardiB sad day.. but I’m gonna be alright… I appreciate all your love & support. Throughout this fight. Today we throw in the white flag… To Cardi and her team, I apologize sincere. We live & learn.”
A jury found Tasha K liable for defamation, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress in 2022. Cardi B was awarded more than $4 million.
