Flawsome: an individual who embraces their flaws and knows they’re awesome regardless. BOY CHAD who is willing to put his thoughts on display for his followers to make sense of. To see him speak is like sitting in a theater and watching a movie. LA’s very own BOY CHAD releases his melodic, heartfelt new single “LOSING CONTROL” on all streaming platforms.
Taking the hyperpop and hip hop sound to a new level, BOY CHAD reflects on a low time in his life and tells the story of how he survived it. The musician shares, “I had to figure it out, I was battling depression. Mental pain is less dramatic than physical pain, but it is more common and also harder to bear. The frequent attempt to conceal mental pain increases the burden: it is easier to say “My tooth is aching” than to say “My heart is broken.”
It didn’t take long for the song to go viral when it was released. As an accomplished artist, BOY CHAD’S latest single skyrocketed as a result. One who is willing to put his thoughts on display for his followers to make sense of. To see him speak is like sitting in a theater and watching a movie. Aside from the narrative being BOY CHAD’s mental landscape. The same may be said for his music.
She told Elle magazine that she’s learning how to channel Nicki’s “lioness fierceness” and creative hustle.
“I think her as a businesswoman really inspired me,” she said. “The way Nicki can carry herself felt almost alien to me because I was kind of a little runty kid, trapped in her room, just watching YouTube videos. And back then, I was like, ‘Damn, that’s dope.'”
Doja Cat offered Nicki Minaj the opportunity to appear on her track, but she turned the feature down, saying in a Twitter Spaces conversation last year that she “didn’t think I could bring anything to it.
”
Elsewhere in her Elle interview, Doja Cat revealed more details about her next album, which will be predominantly rap.
“I have been getting songs and things sent to me… Oh f###, I wish I could tell people!” she exclaimed. “There’s some really cool stuff that I got sent from friends. They’re all working on beats, and I’m giving them notes, and they know what I want, so I’m excited.”
Writing an article on Vogue.com and sharing further details on Instagram, Edward explained how photographer Rafael Pavarotti set the mood.
“On a bright morning in early April this year – a few days after her performance at the Oscars (and first nomination) – she arrived fresh from the school run and ready to shoot,” he wrote.
“White T-shirt, skinny jeans, a Louboutin heel, hair in a ponytail: this was B in relaxed collaborator mode. As is Raf’s way, he began the shoot day by gathering everyone into a circle for a shared moment of prayer. It was a magical mood and soon B was walking around feeling easy and free to be herself. Her husband and kids came to surprise her on set. It was a family day out – albeit a slightly surreal one.”
For the jaw-dropping cover and accompanying images, Beyoncé wears a gold sequin Schiaparelli Haute Couture coat, a silk corset and sequin leggings by Harris Reed and a black leather jacket paired with vinyl leggings, amongst other striking looks.
Revealing she was “so easy” to work with, Edward wrote: “Our one previous time working together had come at the end of 2020, when circumstances dictated that Zoom be our conduit on the shoot days: me in Berlin, B in the Hamptons.
“As the world opened up again, we ran into one another at a party thrown by a mutual friend, where naturally, after some appropriate small talk, I asked when we might make some more pictures together. Enigmatic as ever, she replied: ‘I think we could do something for July’ and breezed off into the night.”
Pete Davidson finally made his debut appearance on his girlfriend Kim Kardashian’s reality show “The Kardashians.”
During the first season of the family reality show on the new network Hulu, Kim has opened up about meeting the comedian on “Saturday Night Live” in October and striking up a romance, but Pete has shied away from the cameras.
Fans got a brief insight into their relationship during a post-credits scene at the end of the season finale on Thursday, although he still remained off-camera and could only be heard talking to Kim.
During a confessional, the 41-year-old said to him, “Pete, come here, you have to meet Paxy,” referring to a longtime member of the TV crew. “Paxy has worked with me as audio, 14 years from ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians.’ She knows everything about me. She’s probably seen my v#####.”
The former “SNL” star can be heard asking, “More than me?” to which Kim clarified, “Not more than you, but she’s probably seen it.”
Off-camera, Paxy stated that she hadn’t “been initiated yet,” and the Skims founder joked about her infamous sex tape when she replied, “We’ll get there. It takes time to warm up, to seeing my v#####. But you could look on the Internet. I’m just kidding.”
While Pete, 28, didn’t make an on-camera appearance during the finale, Kim’s sister Khloé Kardashian gave him her seal of approval, saying in a confessional: “Pete is so sweet. I don’t know him really really well but from what I do know is that it’s really drama-free and really easy, and I think that’s something that’s the end goal. Everyone wants that fairytale, the happily ever after. That’s the hope. Love shouldn’t be this hard.”
Scott Disick also heaped praise on Pete in a conversation with Khloé, saying, “He’s just a great person, and you can tell he cares about people’s feelings.”
Controversial rapper DaBaby, who has had his share of violent public altercations, is now sharing a message of peaceful resolve and anti-gun violence to children.
According to the Charlotte Observer, the chart-topper told reporters in his hometown that children should find “more powerful ways” to express themselves and live their lives.
“If they do that, everything else will follow suit. Whether it’s sports or if you like doing music, do whatever you want to do,” the rapper said.
As reported by AllHipHop.com, DaBaby has not always followed his own advice.
DaBaby says he wants to eventually assist in building an athletic facility and sports team for youth in the city to stop some of the violence by offering an alternative.
He says that he also wants all citizens to learn about gun laws and believes the country should do more to prevent school shootings.
“School, that ain’t no place for a gun at all, by nobody,” he said. “Implementing something like … a buffer, whether it’s metal detectors or what. The same way you get searched at the airport, it needs to be like that to walk into a school.”
While JT and fellow City Girl Yung Miami embody the vibrancy and energy of their home city, Jatavia revealed New York City has a place in her heart. She loves the place so much, in fact, it’s become a “second home” to her.
Since exploding onto the scene in 2018, the City Girls have experienced life in the fast lane. Like many of their peers, they’re constantly on the move, traveling from city to city and coast to coast. As sought-after performers, the Hip-Hop duo barely get to spend a moment at home in Miami and spend much of their time holed up in hotels on the road.
However, JT as JT explained to AllHipHop, she loves New York so much that she created a permanent base for herself in the city. “I actually got a spot in New York,” she shared ahead of her performance at Summer Jam. “I really have a spot in New York, I have a whole condo here, I love New York. This is my second home,” she added. Watch the interview below where JT also addressed the hate the City Girls receive.
JT On Her Love For New York
JT’s convo no doubt came in useful when the City Girls recently linked with Fivio Foreign on “Top Notch” their recent collaboration with the Brooklyn rapper. The duo partied in the streets of New York City in the Ben Marc-directed video. Check it out below.
JT and Yung Miami will be releasing new music any day now. And according to Quality Control Music boss P, the pair are vying for song of the summer. “City Girls got a summer hit otw 😎,” he tweeted earlier this week.
Meanwhile, the City Girls lit up the stage at Summer Jam last weekend (Jun. 12). They joined some of the biggest names in Hip-Hop at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., including Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Pusha T, City Girls, Fivio Foreign, and many more.
“A person is never dead so long as their name is still called in the village.” – African Proverb
Today my dad would’ve turned 80. I got an early text from my mom that read: “Happy 80th Heavenly Birthday to my loving husband.” I took my pillowcase off of the pillow and covered my eyes, letting the tears go directly into the fabric. And I laid there in the bed mediating somberly. But this is not really a sad story.
It is, however, a sobering, necessary reminder that time waits for no one and yet my dad’s passing can still be like a fresh wound to me on any given moment. It has been a long time since he passed and a lot have things are different. What has not changed is the energy that he left behind. I feel as if my dad’s spirit courses through like the blood in my veins.
Men like my father and that generation are a rare commodity in this present day. Admittedly, nearly anything car related – for example – I feel like a fool. There are other manly things where I come up short too, like putting together a dresser from Amazon. My dad – a natural carpenter – would just make it, sand if, varnish it and put it in the house himself. People all over the East Coast have things my dad made – bubble gum machines, mail boxes, flower holders, wood statues and other things. A lot was straight up stolen, but that’s another story. I do not have many of those things.
I had him as a great father and still do.
And that is what I cherish so much these days. I have strength, resilience, loyalty, principles and a sense of family. That came from my pops. My dad was stern, but also loving. So, people knew that they could count on him, but also knew not to cross him. As a teacher, he was so beloved that he still has a tree in his honor at his old school in Delaware. I remember exactly two things about his funeral: My aunt insisting I keep my head up as he laid in a casket and one of my dad’s students crying uncontrollably.
Even though I have never formally taught students, I have dealt with kids and young people throughout my tenure, as a college student and as a professional. I love young people and the potential that they wield. They have an endless number of paradigm-shifting options and opportunities, even when there appear to be none. Like Hip-Hop, they can create where there is nothing. This is why I stay focused on the Generation Future, flaws and all. They truly need us like they need good, quality and vested Black male teachers.
Recently, One Village Alliance’s Raising Kings took roughly 30 kids hiking through a rigorous park in Delaware. This is an organization I’ve worked with for 10 years and assumed a far more prominent position this year. The excursion was lead by Brother Iz Balleto and included a number of good men that volunteered to climb up boulders and traverse down a small mountain. This important community work is supported by good folks like the Roberto Clemente Baseball League and the Delaware Humanities. And kids learn valuable life skills, often disguised as fun and adventure.
Several kids said the hike was “life changing” and that they learned a lot about themselves as well.
Hiking is like life. We need somebody to guide us, like Brother Iz. We need somebody to reach back and encourage the kids that needed a bit more time in their climb like I did for one kid. Another brother named Lakim, who came down from New York City, talked to the kids and extracted lessons from the boys. Ken Swain, a great father and one of my frat brothers, came with the jokes so that we were never too overwhelmed by the tasks ahead. And others were the silent, steely types that looked over protectively, warning of the danger that lurked all over. We made it over boundaries, avoided snakes and poisonous weeds alike. When one kid had some trouble, I yelled “Keep Going!” We gotta keep going.
The way my father parented is not exactly the way I parent, even though I employ his core principles and tactics. For one, I have a daughter, something my father never had to contend with. But, it is more than that. The kids today – in my opinion – require a deeper emotional connection and you have to be in tune with their life style. My dad was cool as hell, but he didn’t have to worry about the internet. These days you have to be a big brother, friend, entertainment center and therapist rolled into one as a great, Black father. “The World,” as the church calls it, is always luring our kids into dark corners in an attempt to usurp our teaching and sway our young people to their ways.
My dad didn’t have to talk at me too much. I do talk. I pour into my daughter and every kid I can. If you don’t pour into them, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, SnapChat, The Streets, scammers, p###, The Burbs, rappers, Hollywood, and more absolutely will. In my dad’s day, a father could “be” and we saw it.
King Creekmur
I see my dad in me, more and more. I don’t mean facial features or body type. I have those also – more and more – as well. But, unlike the past, I really see him in me. That sturdiness as a man, a fierce protector and also the willingness to pave a road where there was none. I am that father. My dad walks with me every day. I share an affinity with all the fathers from that day that came up knowing that tremendous sacrifice comes with the job.
My uncle Jackie. My dad’s best friend, Alphonso Seabrook Sr. My business partner Grouchy Greg’s Dad, Big Curt. Ken’s father. My other homie Chris’s father. Jamies’s father. Jerry’s father. Chandra’s father. Our neighbor and friend Rev. Harris. None of them were, perfect, but they all did what they had to do. My cousin Maurice hates that I call him “The OG,” he he should know by now that is a compliment. He was born the same year as my dad.
Here’s the thing: My cousin Maurice is more like a father to me now. We talked for hours as the days crested into Father’s Day and Juneteenth. Even now, at this age, I need guidance and wise counsel. Just to talk. It takes a village to make a father.
Today, I celebrate my dad. I celebrate fathers today. And I celebrate Juneteenth. I celebrate my daughter who gave me new life at a time when I was terrorized by depression. I celebrate the hope that comes in the form of the kids we’re raising into kings. The next wave of fathers, mentors, step dads, leaders and community pillars.
I salute each and every amazing King that got us here.
And, as I write this, I figure it’s ok to just let the tears go. That too is fatherhood.

Hip-Hop mogul Kanye West, the wealthiest rapper in the world according to Money Inc., has settled his case with Walmart regarding the department store selling “knock-off” versions of his Yeezy sneakers for $25.
The fashion designer, who became most beloved as a musician, filed the lawsuit a year ago in the Los Angeles Superior Court.
According to The Sun, his legal team cited California’s Unfair Competition Law and claimed he could lose “hundreds of millions of dollars” by the retailer selling their version of the shoes because they look almost identical to his Yeezy Foam Runners, which cost about four times as much.
New legal documents reveal that both parties agreed to settle in April of 2022 for an undisclosed amount.
His lawyers wrote in the 66-page complaint, “Walmart is flagrantly trading off of West’s and the Yeezy brand’s popularity by offering for sale an imitation version of the Yeezy Foam Runner.”
“Wаlmаrt customers аre buying fаke Yeezy Foаm Runner shoes in the mistаken belief thаt they аre аssociаted with Kаnye West аnd the Yeezy brаnd,” it further stated. “According to informаtion аnd belief, the hаrm cаused to Plаintiffs аs а result of Wаlmаrt’s illegаl аctivities could be worth hundreds of millions of dollаrs.”
Surveillance video showing how up-and-coming rapper Baby Cino was a part of or connected to an ambush and killing has surfaced.
Now officials believe the rapper’s death was retaliation for another shooting where almost 200 shots were let off, and one person was killed.
According to Miami-Dade Police, on Wednesday, February 16th, a doorbell video captured Troyvon Smith’s final moments in a Northwest Miami-Dade neighborhood before getting fatal shot by a crew of criminals.
The video revealed that the gunmen let off a hailstorm of bullets in broad daylight and struck and killed Smith as he sat in his car.
Detectives note that approximately four people were injured, and a couple of them were Baby Cino’s associates. One of the shooters accidentally shot someone down with them, the footage shows.
Two cars are seen riding up on the scene, and five me hopped out with assault rifles and shot at the people in the victim’s car and others who were also out of range.
In 36 seconds, 199 rounds were let loose, causing wreckage in the community on that sunny day. Now according to police, four of the five men who were identified in the video are in jail.
Three of the four have been charged with first-degree murder counts.
Police believe the fifth person in the video was Baby Cino, whose real name is Timothy Starks and who died a month later on March 16th.
In a police report, investigators wrote, “The homicide of Timothy Starks Jr. is likely to be retaliation for the murder of victim Smith.”
The department also believes three of the suspects, also captured on surveillance video, for Smith’s death were connected to another crime, a hit-and-run near Brickell City Centre.
As a result of this December 2021 incident, two college students were hurt.
Only one of them, Ameko Jacques, 23, has been charged in this case.
The remaining four men accused of the shooting, three of them brothers, are incarcerated at the Turner Guildford Knight Correctional Center in West Miami-Dade.
Megan Thee Stallion is a Grammy-winning American rapper whose lyrics forthrightly address gender, race, and sex. Confidence and body positivity are part of her work, as seen on songs like “WAP,” which featured Megan alongside Cardi B. Megan has a devoted fan base, whom she calls her “hotties,” and millions of followers on Twitter and Instagram. She has spoken out regarding the injustices and violence faced by Black women. Even as a rap superstar, Megan continued to pursue a college degree.
Ali Ciwanro, also known as Ali Ahmed is a German Songwriter. Ali Ciwanro attended a German School in Gelsenkirchen until 2018. The young artist describes his school years as very difficult. According to his own statement, he had many problems with classmates and partly also with teachers, which is why one day he started to write down his feelings and thoughts.
Ali Ciwanro is now a well-known name in the industry. Lyrically, he is considered an absolutely exceptional talent and has already collaborated with many great artists such as J. Cole and Cardi B. But his lyrics are not the only reason why he is so popular. Female musicians in particular think very highly of him. The young artist has a very good connection to women because he understands their struggle for equality and actively supports it.
Megan Thee Stallion and Ali Ciwanro are very interesting duos. Megan is a sassy, powerful, and passionate rapper and Ali Ciwanro is an intelligent, empathetic, and talented songwriter.
Together, the two have been working on a great many songs over the past weeks and months, some of which have been extremely successful. The two also seem to understand each other on a personal level. Megan admires Ali and his attitude towards many things and Ali respects Megan as an artist.
According to Megan, Ali is a true feminist. Cardi B has similarly commented on the successful songwriter from Germany. More and more female artists like to work with Ali Ciwanro.
Now Megan apparently presents Ali Ciwanro with an expensive Rolex. Was that all? Probably not. The 20-year-old Ali and the enchanting Megan harmonize too much with each other, both humanly and musically. It looks like we can expect a lot from the unequal duo!
After announcing his engagement, Post Malone is going public with why his new fiancée is the one for him: she loved him in his darkest hours.
In an interview with Howard Stern on his SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show,” the rapper-turned-pop star said the love of his life helped him defeat alcoholism and deal with the pressures of pain.
When asked if he was sober, he said, “No, sir. I am responsible now,” the chart-topper stated. “It was to a really rough point, and I couldn’t get up off the floor for weeks.”

The “Rockstar” performer said, “It was vodka, and it was bodying fifths and trying to hang in there and talking to people who weren’t f###### there.”
Malone said about his wife-to-be, “I met a really beautiful person that made me feel like a human being again.”
“It’s the guidance out of the dark into the light … She saved my f###### life — it’s pretty epic.”

“People can look at you from the outside and see that something’s wrong, and you can be trapped in your own f###### world,” explained Post Malone. “I need to do a lot less talking and a lot more listening … I’m 26, and I’m learning every f###### day.”

After spending 16 years in jail for a double homicide he says he didn’t commit, rapper Mac Minister, whose real name is Andre Dow, is telling his story.
One of those murders, allegedly, was a revenge killing of the men thought to have been involved in the murder of Bay Area rap legend Mac Dre.
In an interview with the San Francisco Standard, Mac Minister said his life has been “hell” since a key witness lied on him during his trial, which resulted in a life sentence.
“It has been hell,” Mac Minister said in a phone call from a Nevada prison just north of Las Vegas. “Hell. It has been hell.”
The prosecution painted the narrative that Mac Minister and another accomplice lured the two men to Las Vegas in May 2005. He allegedly told them he could get them a meeting with Snoop Dogg.
However, the state said it was a trap, and Mac Minister and his guy shot the men in an isolated area to pay them back for killing Mac Dre.
Despite law enforcement clearing him as a suspect, rumors still lingered linking Watkins to the death of Mac Dre earlier this year.
Minister Mac denies that.
“I didn’t have a dog in the fight,” Dow said. He also said he was a fan of Watkins and would have never killed him. He called him the “best rapper that I ever heard.”
Watkins and another man named Germaine “Cowboy” Atkins were last seen with Mac Minister on the night of his death, leaving the MGM hotel. But Mac Minister says the two parties parted ways.
“I don’t have a clue what happened,” he said. “I know they dead.”
Mac Minister has never wavered on his insistence that he is innocent.
As reported by AllHipHop.com, a witness said he lied on the stand about him killing the two men and one additional person, a sex worker named Lee Laursen found dead in the city.
Later it was discovered that Mouton ratted, according to court records, after being promised leniency and money in an unrelated federal case in return for his testimony.
At the time, Mouton faced up to 40 years for pleading guilty to a federal charge of sex trafficking a minor, and those charges were lessened for his testimony about Mac Minister.

Kendrick Lamar recalled his hesitancy to go to therapy in a new Spotify mini-documentary.
K. Dot discussed multiple topics and spent time with locals in Spotify’s “A Day In Ghana with Kendrick Lamar.” The multi-platinum selling rapper mulled over his journey with therapy after mentioning a line from his new albumMr. Morale & the Big Steppers.
“We grew up where our parents don’t know about that,” Kendrick Lamar said regarding therapy. “Our grandparents don’t know about that. You live and you experience the s### that you go through and you deal with it right then and there. Or you don’t never deal with it.”
He continued, “We learn to hold all our s### in. S###, I’ma keep it 100 with you – that wasn’t my forte when people mentioned it to me. I’m still stuck how my pops think. ‘The f### I need therapy for?’ To challenge myself to go to therapy, s###, that’s like a whole new step in a whole new generation. That’s growth.”
Spotify’s mini-doc also showed Kendrick Lamar visiting the Freedom Skatepark in Ghana. The late designer Virgil Abloh was involved in the park’s creation before he passed away in 2021.
Hip-Hop mogul and all-around O.G. J Prince is letting it be known that he is not ok with the alleged actions of the Houston gang member charged with capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the shooting death of nine-year-old Khylie Sorrells.
Houston police have arrested 22-year-old Jeremiah Jones following an extensive manhunt and are pointing to him as the triggerman in the Sorrells murder.
According to sources, law enforcement believes Jones killed Sorrells as possible revenge over the girl’s mother breaking up with him several months prior.
J Prince, founder, and head of the legendary Houston-based record label Rap-A-Lot Records, captioned in an Instagram post, “Houston we have a problem. We can’t have clowns like this running around purposely killing our babies and be ok with it. Stand with me on preventing this sick individual from harming another baby.”

While many would like some flicks that are a little saucy, that’s not what is going to be given. The Grammy award winner shared the process of her having throat surgery to remove an abscess.
The mass has caused the “Say So” singer a lot of pain, which will soon be gone.
The 26-year-old tweeted out pictures of her recovery from the hospital. Donning a white and black floral gown, she snapped away from her recovery bed and showed that she was ok.
The “Kiss Me More” artist explained to her fans, saying, “Hi guys, I wanted you to hear it from me first. Unfortunately, I have to have surgery on my tonsils asap. The surgery is routine but the recovery is going to take awhile due to swelling.”
“That means I have to cancel my festival run this summer as well as The Weeknd tour. I feel horrible about this but can’t wait for this to heal and get back to making music and create an experience for y’all.”
This may be the final procedure to have the abscess removed. When a fan asked her on Twitter when she was going to have the surgery, she responded, “did it already.”
Detroit rapper Obie Trice has found himself behind bars thousands of miles from his hometown.
The Oakland sheriff’s office says the emcee, originally put on by Eminem, was arrested and arraigned in a 48th District Court in Bloomfield Hills and admitted into an Oakland County jail on Thursday, June 16 at 5 p.m.
According to The Detroit News, Obie Trice was charged with a harassment count where it is alleged that he used his telephone to threaten someone.
Court records show the crime is a misdemeanor punishable by a $1,000 fine, six months in jail, or both. He is also being held on a $10,000 bond.
Obie Trice is also being held for contempt of court.
The Oakland County Circuit Court issued a complaint against him after he allegedly violated a personal protection order. That case remains pending and was reassigned to a different judge in May.
This is not the first time Obie Trice has been in trouble with the law.
Eminem has not spoken out on any of Trice’s legal problems, despite the two being close.
A few months ago, Trice spoke about their relationship in an interview, saying, “Em is cool. That’s my brother, man anything that I need, anything that I need to deal with, or any type of situation for us in the industry, I can hit Em up. That’s my bro, and he will be for life.”
