Kim Kardashian Pushes Skims To $5 Billion Valuation In New Funding Round

Kim Kardashian locked in a $5 billion valuation for her shapewear brand Skims after closing a $225 million investment round led by Goldman Sachs, setting the stage for a major global retail expansion.

The deal, finalized on November 12, 2025, marks one of the largest consumer brand funding rounds of the year and pushes Kardashian’s personal net worth to an estimated $1.9 billion, according to Forbes.

The fresh capital will support Skims’ plans to scale its physical retail operations and strengthen its international footprint.

“We can’t wait to take Skims to the next level as we continue to innovate and set the standard for our industry,” Kim Kardashian said in a statement.

Skims, co-founded by Kardashian and CEO Jens Grede, has evolved from a direct-to-consumer shapewear startup into a full-fledged lifestyle label offering loungewear, activewear and fashion basics.

The company currently operates 18 stores across the U.S. and partners with major global retailers.

Grede said the company’s projected revenue for 2025 is expected to top $1 billion, calling the milestone a reflection of the brand’s long-term strategy and execution.

Initially launched in 2019 under the name “Kimono Intimates,” the brand rebranded as Skims after facing public backlash over concerns of cultural appropriation.

Since then, it has gained traction through celebrity endorsements from Megan Fox and Paris Hilton, as well as the Kardashian family’s massive online reach.

The company plans to focus “predominantly” on brick-and-mortar growth in the coming years, aiming to compete with legacy athleisure brands like Lululemon and Alo Yoga in a crowded wellness and fashion market.

Industry analysts say Skims’ rise mirrors a shift in consumer demand for inclusive sizing and body-positive apparel, an area where traditional athletic brands have often lagged.

The latest funding round positions Skims to expand its market share while continuing to redefine the shapewear and athleisure space.

‘I don’t do that anymore’: Texas woman tells Tinder date where she works. A year after ghosting him, ‘Matt’ re-enters the picture

A woman got a surprise visit at her workplace from a Tinder match a full year after she matched with him. How did he find her? She had casually mentioned her occupation and he dropped by, despite living in an entirely different town.

In a video with over 20,000 views, TikTok user @k.i.l.a.97 explained how a match she had only chatted with for a few hours showed up at the barber shop she worked at unexpectedly.

“ There are so many other places you could get a haircut and you chose this one, the one where you know that I work at and that I ghosted you twice,” she said, clearly creeped out with the situation.

Texas Woman Accidentally Texts Ghosted Tinder Match

It started when @k.i.l.a.97 matched with “Matt,” who provided his full name and contact information when they first started talking. They chatted for a few hours around a year ago before @k.i.l.a.97 disengaged, ghosting him due to a lack of interest.

She accidentally reached out to Matt a year later while trying to contact her cousin with the same name. Her former Tinder match quickly reached out again, but she ghosted him out of a lack of interest. “ He’s like, ‘Yeah, we matched on Tinder a while ago,’” she said. “Then he said his full name and I was like, ‘Oh. OK.’ So then I just didn’t answer again.”

It got worse though. She asked her aunt for her cousin’s phone number and tried to text him again, only to text Tinder Matt once more because it merged his contact with her cousin due to Apple’s contact card system.

“ I went and I texted [my cousin’s] number,” she said, “and I was like, ‘Hey, so funny. I just went to text you and I actually texted this guy that I ghosted from Tinder and he texted back,’ and he was like, ‘Yeah, this is still him.’”

Mortified, @k.i.l.a.97 described the situation as “awkward as [expletive].” She had to fully delete Tinder Matt’s phone number to get in contact with her cousin without the contacts merging.

Tinder Match Finds Woman at Work

While working at a barbershop in Texas, her old Tinder match appeared. His name appeared on the booking for another one of the girls working that day, something that @k.i.l.a.97 picked up on immediately.

Sure enough, when he walked through the door, she realized that he showed up at her workplace, a minor detail she had mentioned during her short conversation with him a full year prior.

“Oh my God, that’s him,” she said when she saw him. To her, it felt like he was deliberately showing up, as he lived a full town over. “It was not a good time. I [expletive] hid in the back room, like the whole time he was there,” she said. “He ended up being like her regular client would keep coming in.”

How Apple’s Contact Merging Service Works

Apple may accidentally merge contacts when users use the “merge all,” function in the contacts app.

When someone merges contacts on their iPhone, Apple’s contact list cannot differentiate between one “Matt” and another. That’s why it assumes that one “Matt” contact might be the same person as another “Matt” and merges them together.

For those curious, you can unmerge contacts if it’s not your cup of tea. You’ll have to manually unlink the accounts rather than “unlinking” them all, but it’s relatively straightforward, only requiring a press of a button.

O.J. Simpson Finally Pays Off Ron Goldman’s Family – In Death

O.J. Simpson and a decades-long civil judgment collided once more as his estate agreed to pay Fred Goldman nearly $58 million, resolving a financial pursuit that began after the 1994 killings of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson.

Executor Malcolm LaVergne signed off on Goldman’s creditor claim for $57,997,858.12 plus interest, according to TMZ. That amount is about half of the $117 million Goldman initially requested, a figure inflated by nearly 30 years of interest on the original civil judgment.

The debt stems from a 1997 civil trial where a jury unanimously found Simpson liable for the wrongful deaths of his ex-wife and her friend Ron Goldman.

The court awarded $8.5 million in compensatory damages to the Goldman family and another $25 million in punitive damages to be split between the Goldman and Brown families. That $33.5 million ballooned over time due to unpaid interest.

LaVergne told TMZ the estate plans to pay “as much of the approved amount as possible through ongoing auctions of Simpson’s possessions.” He added that some memorabilia had been stolen and said he’s working with attorneys to retrieve those items.

Simpson spent years legally shielding his assets. His NFL pension remained largely untouchable, and he moved to Florida, where homestead laws offered additional financial protection. Despite these efforts, Simpson paid only a small portion of the judgment while alive.

Even after his 2008 conviction for armed robbery and kidnapping in a Las Vegas hotel room—an incident involving sports memorabilia—Simpson’s financial obligations loomed. He was sentenced to up to 33 years, a number eerily close to the $33 million civil judgment. He served nine years before being paroled in 2017.

Simpson died in April 2024 at age 76 following a battle with cancer. LaVergne, who once said he “would never pay the Goldman family” and wanted them “to get zero, nothing from estate,” reversed course and accepted the claim.

The estate has denied most other creditor claims, except for Goldman’s and a separate demand from the Internal Revenue Service. LaVergne said the IRS will be paid first to satisfy federal tax obligations before any other debts, including a $636,945 claim from California.

Fred Goldman’s pursuit of accountability began after the June 1994 murders outside Nicole Brown Simpson’s Brentwood home. Ron Goldman, 25, was working as a waiter and had gone to return a pair of glasses when he was killed. Simpson was acquitted of criminal charges in 1995, but the civil trial held him responsible under a lower burden of proof.

All 12 jurors in the civil case voted against Simpson on the first ballot after just three days of deliberations.

LaVergne said he plans to ask the court to award Goldman administrative fees for helping manage the estate. He reiterated that auctions of Simpson’s belongings will continue to fund the settlement, though the estate’s full value is still unknown.

Simpson’s estate formally accepted the claim in April 2024.

‘These girls are unhinged’: NYC man talks to woman at the bar for 5 minutes. Then she picks up his phone and opens Paypal

A chiropractor in New York City described a recent uncomfortable situation while having a night out. Specifically, a girl he was chatting to for only five minutes opened up his phone and tried to Paypal herself.

“ The New York City dating scene is absolutely cooked,” said TikTok user Dr. Johnny (@drjohnny_), a popular content creator and chiropractor in a video that’s garnered more than 28,000 views. “These girls are unhinged.”

In the video, Dr. Johnny revealed that he met a woman when he was out at a bar having drinks. After speaking to her for a few minutes, he learned that she was training for the New York City Marathon. He mentioned that he’s a chiropractor and he works with a lot of athletes.

“She says, ‘Great, let me see your Instagram,'” he said. “I catch her trying to send herself a $200 donation from my Papal account to her marathon fund.”

Is the Modern Dating Scene Too Financially Motivated?

A survey done of Australians this year found that a fifth of those asked about their dating criteria cited “financial reasons.” The data suggests that financial security is becoming a driving force in the modern dating world.

In particular, younger generations indicated a higher level of preoccupation with financial circumstances in dating partners. The survey found 32% of Gen-Z respondents said they’ve dated or would date for financial security.

Another survey found 42% of singles rate finances as a top priority when choosing a partner.

Are Dating Scams Becoming More Common?

Romance scams are becoming bolder and more sophisticated. That’s because of organized crime involvement and the prevalence of AI. Millions of people fall victim to these scams every year at a cost of more than $500 billion.

So, if a Tinder match (or even just the person at the bar you’ve been chatting with for five minutes) asks for money, daters should beware.

“If an online love interest asks you for money, that’s a scam. Period. Don’t send a reload, prepaid, or gift card; don’t wire money; and don’t send cryptocurrency to someone you met online,” said Ari Lazarus, a consumer education specialist writing for the Federal Trade Commission.

Kim Kardashian Stuns In Pink Sheer Dress At Christ The Redeemer

Kim Kardashian turned heads and camera lenses Friday in Rio de Janeiro when she posed beneath the towering Christ the Redeemer statue wearing a sheer hot pink dress that blurred the line between reverence and runway.

The reality mogul and SKIMS founder shared the striking moment with her 354 million Instagram followers, letting the vivid visuals and a pink heart emoji do the talking.

The 44-year-old entrepreneur chose a daring, body-hugging gown with a plunging neckline for the visit, pairing the look with a sculpted updo and soft-glam makeup.

Purple lighting cast dramatic shadows across the religious landmark, highlighting both the statue and Kardashian’s silhouette in equal measure.

Her post included a photo from a 2013 trip to the same site, where she also wore pink, drawing a fashion parallel more than a decade apart.

View this post on Instagram

The callback wasn’t lost on her followers, who flooded the comments with praise. The post racked up over 9,000 comments within hours.

This high-profile moment capped off Kardashian’s extended stay in Brazil, where she has been promoting her upcoming projects.

Earlier in the week, she appeared at the “All’s Fair” premiere in São Paulo wearing a custom Connor Ives gown made from 100-year-old Edwardian fans, a nod to sustainable luxury.

The timing of her South American tour follows a personal and professional hurdle—her most recent failure to pass the California bar exam. According to industry insiders, the trip served dual purposes: promoting business and providing a personal reset after the setback.

Kardashian’s wardrobe throughout the trip has drawn consistent media attention, with paparazzi capturing each look. Her Christ the Redeemer appearance, however, stood out as the most visually arresting of the tour.

Young Thug Seeks Spiritual Counsel From Rabbi Pinto Following Jail Release

Young Thug sought clarity and counsel in Manhattan, where the Atlanta rapper met with Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto following his release from custody tied to the YSL RICO case.

The Hip-Hop artist visited Rabbi Pinto’s private residence just weeks after being engulfed in drama, claiming he snitched and cooperated in the YSL saga that ended with Young Thug taking a plea deal to secure his freedom in the high-profile racketeering case.

The session focused on the rapper’s personal struggles and his hopes for a stable return to music while navigating strict probation terms.

Photos and videos of the meeting were shared on Rabbi Pinto’s official social media, showing the two in conversation. The rabbi’s post described the encounter as a moment of “guidance to the international rapper.”

Young Thug’s legal resolution included a 40-year sentence, with the first five years credited as time served, followed by 15 years of probation, with a potential 20-year sentence if his probation is violated.

The agreement also came with tight restrictions.

He is barred from entering the Atlanta metro area for the next decade, unless for court or family emergencies and must avoid any contact with co-defendants or known gang affiliates.

The plea deal also mandates community service and educational outreach on gang prevention. These terms were part of what allowed the Grammy-winning performer to avoid a much longer prison stint.

The YSL RICO case, which accused Young Thug’s YSL Records of functioning as a criminal enterprise, has seen multiple co-defendants accept plea deals, including Gunna, who was accused of ratting out his co-defendants.

Young Thug’s visit to Rabbi Pinto mirrors a similar move by Kanye West, who also sought the rabbi’s guidance during a public low point.

“I was dealing with some various issues, bipolar, also, so it would take the ideas I had and had them, take them to an extreme where I would forget about the protection of the people around me and myself,” West explained to Rabbi Pinto. “Some people aren’t that knowledgeable about what causes it and the way you act when you have the disease.”

The rabbi has become a sought-after spiritual advisor for celebrities, particularly those in the entertainment industry who are navigating personal or professional upheaval.

NBA YoungBoy Unleashes On NLE Choppa With “Zero IQ”

NBA YoungBoy wasted no time responding to NLE Choppa‘s recent attack, dropping his own diss track “Zero IQ” that takes direct aim at the Memphis rapper’s intelligence and credibility in the Hip-Hop game.

YoungBoy’s “Zero IQ” title appears to be a direct shot at Choppa’s intellectual capacity, suggesting the Memphis rapper lacks the mental acuity to engage in this level of Hip-Hop warfare.

“My career been jumpin’ up out of the gym and I’m ridin’ ’round with a M, ho/I’ll kill your ass, I’ll flash, you ain’t gon’ play with me like them, no

I done gave my n##### bags,” NBA Youngboy raps.

The Baton Rouge native’s response comes just weeks after NLE Choppa, who now goes by NLE The Great, released his scathing “KO” track on October 30.

Choppa’s initial assault borrowed heavily from 2Pac’s legendary “Hit Em Up,” using the same Dennis Edwards sample while delivering pointed accusations about YoungBoy’s influence on young fans.

In “KO,” Choppa positioned himself as a spiritual corrective force, claiming YoungBoy “poison[s] the youth” and serves as a negative role model.

The track featured aggressive bars like “YoungBoy, what? This the big boy league/ I put one up in your gut under the Jesus piece/ Last thing that I heard was ‘Jesus, please’/ Had me looking at the devil like ‘This is your king.'”

Choppa’s motivation for the diss stemmed from what he described as a divine vision.

In a recent Rolling Stone interview, the rapper explained he was “awakened out of my sleep with a vivid dream” involving “holding a young boy’s head in my hand.”

He interpreted this as a calling from a higher power to hold YoungBoy accountable for his perceived negative influence.

NBA YoungBoy Celebrates Record-Setting MASA Tour

NBA YoungBoy brought his record-setting MASA Tour to a close in Seattle after selling out 45 straight venues across the country, making him the first artist from Baton Rouge to accomplish that feat.

The 25-year-old rapper wrapped up his first headlining tour in five years with a packed show at Climate Pledge Arena, cementing what industry analysts rank as one of the highest-grossing rap tours in U.S. history.

The “Make America Slime Again” tour launched September 1 in Dallas and quickly gained momentum, drawing massive crowds in every city.

The tour’s opening night made headlines when NBA YoungBoy donated $50,000 to Dallas-based nonprofits focused on anti-violence and criminal justice reform. That early gesture set the tone for a tour that would later become a benchmark moment in his career.

In October, he returned to Louisiana for the first time in seven years with a sold-out performance at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. After the show, crowds flooded the French Quarter, creating one of the tour’s most talked-about moments.

The MASA Tour’s 42-for-42 sellout streak is a rare accomplishment in today’s touring landscape, especially for an artist navigating ongoing legal issues.

The tour’s success reflects YoungBoy’s consistent output and loyal following, which he built through raw storytelling and a relentless release schedule.

Despite not touring for half a decade, YoungBoy’s draw remained strong and his ability to connect with listeners was a key factor behind the tour’s overwhelming turnout.

The Seattle finale marked the end of an 11-week run that not only broke records but also raised the bar for Louisiana artists in Hip-Hop.

Fetty Wap Getting Early Release Just In Time For Christmas

Fetty Wap will walk free a few weeks sooner than expected after federal officials quietly moved up his prison release date to December 8, 2026, granting the Hip-Hop artist a holiday homecoming.

The 34-year-old rapper is currently serving time at FCI Sandstone, a low-security federal prison in Minnesota. His original release date was set for March 13, 2027, but that was first shortened in September to January 8, 2027.

Now, according to a report from Us Weekly, the Bureau of Prisons has shaved off another month, though it has not publicly explained the reason for the change.

Fetty Wap’s legal saga began in October 2021 when he and five others were arrested on federal drug trafficking charges.

Prosecutors accused the group of distributing more than 100 kilograms of deadly and addictive drugs, including heroin and fentanyl, on Long Island.

Initially released on a $500,000 bond, the rapper was taken back into custody in August 2022 after allegedly brandishing a firearm during a FaceTime call, violating the terms of his release.

He later entered a guilty plea to conspiracy charges involving cocaine distribution and was sentenced to six years in prison.

Outside the courtroom, Fetty Wap’s life has been filled with both public success and personal pain. He is the father of at least six children, including his daughter Lauren, who died at age 4 in August 2021.

Once released, Fetty Wap will be under supervised probation for a period of five years. His new release date means he’ll be home just in time for the 2026 holiday season.

50 Cent’s Hip-Hop Spectacle Ends In Chris Eubank Jr.’s Defeat To Conor Benn

50 Cent stole the spotlight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Saturday night with a show-stopping entrance alongside Chris Eubank Jr. and his father, but the dramatic walkout wasn’t enough to change the outcome of the fight.

The Hip-Hop mogul led the Eubank duo to the ring with a booming soundtrack of “Many Men,” “Wanksta” and “I’ll Whip Ya Head Boy,” turning a typical ring walk into a full-blown performance.

50 Cent and Eubank Jr. wore fur coats while Eubank Sr. danced his way through the tunnel, drawing cheers from the 60,000-strong crowd.

The entrance delayed the start of the bout slightly, as Conor Benn had already made his way to the ring. But the wait only added to the anticipation, with the stadium erupting once Fif appeared.

Despite the theatrical buildup, the fight didn’t go Eubank Jr.’s way.

Benn knocked him down twice and walked away with a unanimous decision, flipping the script from their previous meeting in April 2025, where Eubank had secured the win.

View this post on Instagram

Judges scored the rematch decisively in Benn’s favor, marking a major moment in the long-standing rivalry between the Benn and Eubank families.

The event marked another chapter in 50 Cent’s long-standing connection to the fight game.

Once a key figure in Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s inner circle and promotional team, 50 Cent has stayed active in the boxing world even after their 2012 split. His presence on Saturday proved he still knows how to command a moment.

The Eubanks have a history of high-drama entrances, and this one was no different.

Their previous clash with Benn at the same venue also featured over-the-top theatrics. But this time, the flair couldn’t match the force Benn brought to the ring.

The fight capped off a night that blended Hip-Hop energy with British boxing tradition, but the final bell belonged to Benn, who finally claimed a win for his family 35 years after his father’s rivalry with Eubank Sr. first began.

Max B Pays Tribute To A$AP Yams With Powerful Graveside Moment

Max B marked his first week of freedom with a solemn visit to A$AP Yams’ final resting place in New Jersey, paying homage to the late Hip-Hop visionary on what would have been his 37th birthday.

The 47-year-old Harlem rapper, newly released after serving a 16-year sentence, stood alongside A$AP Yams’ mother, Tati Paulino and media personality Karen Civil, during the emotional graveside tribute.

The moment, captured in photos shared across social media, brought together two generations of Harlem’s Hip-Hop legacy.

The bond between Max B and Yams ran deeper than neighborhood ties. While behind bars, Max B’s influence remained alive through Yams’ persistent support.

The A$AP Mob co-founder frequently praised Max’s melodic style and coined slang, helping introduce the “wavy” sound to a new wave of artists.

“also s/o max b he would give me 100 cash and a bottle of benny to help pack up his mixtapes when i was 16″ Yams tweeted, offering a glimpse into their early connection.

Though they never reunited in person, Yams, who died in 2015 at age 26 from an accidental overdose, credited Max B as a major influence on A$AP Mob’s sound.

That impact is evident in early A$AP Rocky tracks, such as “Get High” and the 2011 mixtape, LIVE.LOVE.A$AP, where Max’s melodic delivery and slang echoed throughout.

Max B’s return to public life began on November 9 after he completed his sentence stemming from a 2009 conviction tied to a failed robbery.

Despite his long absence, his musical footprint remained intact, with artists such as French Montana, Kanye West and Drake acknowledging his stylistic influence.

The graveside appearance marks one of Max B’s first public outings since his release and served as a powerful reminder of Harlem’s interconnected Hip-Hop lineage.

Bhad Bhabie Friend Arrested for Attacking Rapper’s Mother

Bhad Bhabie became entangled in a personal and legal mess after her music associate was arrested for allegedly assaulting her mother during a confrontation outside their Florida home.

Ricky “Loopy” Ferrell, a frequent collaborator of the rapper, was taken into custody Thursday on a misdemeanor battery charge stemming from an August altercation with Barbara Bregoli, Danielle’s mother.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reviewed surveillance footage from the incident, which took place at a residence co-owned by Danielle and Barbara.

According to law enforcement records obtained by TMZ, Ferrell allegedly yanked Barbara’s iPhone 15 Pro from her hands and shook her multiple times as they struggled over the device.

Investigators said the video shows Ferrell letting go of Barbara before following her to her car, where she retrieved a firearm. Deputies noted Barbara never pointed the gun at Ferrell and kept her finger off the trigger.

That directly contradicts statements Ferrell reportedly gave during a sworn interview. The footage also shows Ferrell placing the phone on the trunk of Barbara’s vehicle before leaving the scene.

Initially, both parties called the police. Responding deputies at the time identified Barbara as the aggressor, and no arrests were made. But after further interviews and a detailed review of the footage, investigators reclassified Barbara as the victim and issued an arrest warrant for Ferrell.

He was arrested on Thursday and has since been released from custody, according to authorities.

Danielle, now 21, shot to viral fame in 2016 after her infamous “Cash me outside” moment on Dr. Phil. She later pivoted to a music career, becoming the youngest female rapper to have a song chart on the Billboard Hot 100.

Barbara, a Brooklyn native and two-time breast cancer survivor, also has a sizable online following.

The incident adds another chapter to the family’s often public struggles, which have played out alongside Danielle’s rise in the Hip-Hop world.

‘I’ve been telling all my boys this’: Houston Texans punter says you’re probably using Uber Eats wrong. Then he demonstrates with Firehouse Subs

Houston Texans punter Johnny Townsend just dropped a PSA for anyone who uses Uber Eats: You’ve been doing it wrong.

In a TikTok posted Sep. 14, Townsend (@johnny.townsend) breaks down the ultimate Uber Eats cheat code on how to score food for cheap. The video has already racked up over 37,000 views.

Townsend wasted no time laying out the Uber Eats cheat code in his 18-second TikTok.

Is There a ‘Wrong’ Way to Use Uber Eats?

“I’ve been telling all my boys this since day one: Uber Eats is not a food delivery app. It’s a discount app,” he explained.

According to Townsend, the first step is checking the Offers tab in the app. That’s where the buy-one-get-one deals and surprise discounts hide.

But the real hack comes next: Skip the delivery. By picking up the food yourself, you dodge the extra fees and service charges that usually double the price.

“Dude, I just got two subs at Firehouse for seven dollars,” he bragged. “And all I do is just open it up, click on offers, see if there’s any BOGOs nearby, and just go pick it up. It’s the way to do it.”

Is This the Correct Way to Order from Uber Eats?

Yes, it really does. If you head to the Eats section of the Uber app and click on the Offers tab, you’ll see all the deals and discounts available from restaurants in your area. From there, pick a spot, then switch your order from delivery to pickup.

That way, you still get the deal without stacking on the delivery fees, service charges, and tips that can easily double the price of your meal.

Viewers Love Gaming the Uber Eats App

People flooded the comments with their best Uber Eats come-ups, turning the comment section into a cheat code thread.

“Dude, I did that for a year. People don’t realize how many good deals there are,” one commenter wrote.

“Yes, bro, I’ve been doing this, and I get the Amex $10 a month with my gold card,” another shared.

“Uber has great food deals but the key is to pick it up yourself,” someone else explained. “If you [add] delivery plus tip for the driver and the extra fees you’ll get screwed. If you pick up yourself you avoid all those extra costs.”

And then came the holy grail of a discount. “A new Chinese food place opened up by me and I think they made a mistake because I went to order one night and they’re offering $15 off any orders over $15. I ordered $15 and got free food,” wrote one person.

Townsend did not immediately respond to our request for comment. We also reached out to Uber for a statement.

SIGNS: ChatGPT AI Boss Is Getting Into Editing Baby Genes

Sam Altman is throwing stacks at a wild new startup in San Francisco trying to make babies that don’t carry inherited diseases — and the whole thing’s got people talking, hard.

Altman and his husband, Oliver Mulherin, dropped cash into a company called Preventive, which locked in $30 million in funding to go after what it calls “devastating genetic conditions.”

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong also tossed his money in the ring, according to The Times. Thing is, they’re stepping into a legal gray zone.

Editing embryos is still banned in the US, the UK and a bunch of other countries. But Preventive’s not slowing down — word is they’re looking to do their research in the United Arab Emirates, where the rules are way looser.

The company wants to use the UAE as a launchpad for testing the tech.

The plan? Reportedly, they’re working with a couple carrying a genetic disease who are willing to try having a baby using an edited embryo. That’s next-level stuff, and not everyone’s cool with it.

Armstrong defended the move, telling The Times, “More than 300 million people globally live with genetic disease. Foundational research should be done to determine if safe and effective therapies can be developed to cure these diseases at birth. It is far easier to correct a smaller number of cells before disease progression occurs, such as in an embryo.”

The gene-editing world already had a big moment earlier this year when a baby named KJ Muldoon from Pennsylvania got a custom-made treatment for CPS1 deficiency — a rare condition that builds up dangerous levels of ammonia in the blood.

Still, some tech companies are pushing things even further, looking into ways to predict traits like intelligence and height — and that’s where it all gets dicey.

GM Freeze, a watchdog group focused on gene modification, isn’t sold on how much we actually know. On their site, they say, “As genetic engineering technologies such as gene editing advance, so does the realization that our knowledge of gene functioning is still very incomplete.”

All this comes while Altman’s already catching flak for some of his recent AI takes — including warnings about future pandemics and job losses caused by artificial intelligence and how AI can be used in dangerous ways.

But while folks debate whether this is genius or playing God, Altman’s clearly not afraid to gamble on the future.

Pusha T & Virginia Williams Expecting Second Child

Pusha T capped off a banner month with personal and professional wins as his wife, Virginia Williams, announced they’re expecting their second child, while the Clipse reunion album racks up Grammy nominations.

Williams broke the news on Instagram with a photo set from an art gallery showing her baby bump and their 5-year-old son, Nigel Brixx Thornton. “2nd masterpiece on the way… God is good,” she wrote, confirming the baby is due in spring 2026 and will be another boy.

The announcement comes just weeks after Clipse, the duo of Pusha T and his brother Malice, scored five Grammy nominations for their comeback album Let the God Sort Em Out.

The project, their first since 2009’s Til the Casket Drops, earned nods in major categories, including Album of the Year, but the biggest prize may be arriving not on stage, but in the delivery room.

View this post on Instagram

The couple, who tied the knot in 2018 after more than a decade together, welcomed their first son in June 2020. Their relationship became more visible during Pusha’s high-profile lyrical clash with Drake, but they’ve largely kept their family life private.

Williams, an artist herself, has continued to build her creative portfolio while supporting her husband’s return to the spotlight.

The Clipse album was produced by longtime collaborator Pharrell Williams and marked a major moment in Hip-Hop’s current wave of legacy acts making a comeback.

The 2026 Grammy Awards are scheduled for February, placing the couple’s next big arrival just months after what could be a career-defining win.

Donald Trump Reportedly Planning Secret Music Gala While Hosting Saudi Crown Prince

Something big is cooking in Washington next week and this time, it’s got a beat.

Donald Trump is gearing up to welcome Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and while the official line is that this visit is all about business…word on the street says something else. Apparently, there’s going to be a full-blown music gala going down in the White House. This secret show is fit for royalty and Trump is calling the shots.

A Saudi-hosted investment summit takes place at the Kennedy Center on November 19. But several insiders are whispering that Trump’s got something flashier in mind. One source told AllHipHop it’s going to be “a spectacle.” I am wondering if there will be any rappers there? We know Rick Ross did a MAGA event a week or so ago and Snoop did something adjacent earlier this year.

“He wants to show the Prince that America still knows how to put on a show,” the source said. “This isn’t just dinner and speeches. It’s going to be a production.” Now, I know this is a source, but I just want to know if French Montana is going to be there. You know, he is married into a royal family. But Sheikha Mahra b### Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is a Dubai Princess.

No one’s saying who’s performing, but there’s talk of some huge names being approached. By the way, I do know there are going to be some amazing singers there. So, I guess we’re going to just wait it out.

Everything he does has to look like a win, even when reality is not.

This whole thing is going down at a time when the country’s attention is pulled in a dozen directions! Epstein emails, political chaos, new investigations…and healthcare uncertainty. So while everyone’s arguing online, Trump’s rolling out the red carpet for one of the richest and most controversial men in the world.

Diplomacy, distraction…disregard all rolled into one!

Akon Rejects Wife’s Spousal Support Plea After 29-Year Marriage

Akon rejected spousal support and pushed for joint custody in his divorce filing Friday in Los Angeles, drawing a hard line as his 29-year marriage to Tomeka Thiam comes to an end.

The Hip-Hop artist filed court documents opposing Thiam’s request for financial support and asked the court to deny any future payments to his estranged wife, according to TMZ.

The filing comes two months after Thiam initiated the split, citing irreconcilable differences just days before what would have been their 29th anniversary.

In the same filing, Akon requested joint physical custody of their 17-year-old child. Thiam, however, is seeking full physical custody while agreeing to share legal custody.

The custody disagreement could become a pivotal issue as the case progresses. Despite the tension, both parties appear to agree on one financial matter. Thiam also asked the court not to award spousal support to Akon, signaling a mutual interest in keeping their individual assets separate.

The divorce arrives amid a turbulent stretch for the “Locked Up” singer. Just last week, Akon was arrested in Georgia for failing to appear in court over charges tied to driving with a suspended license.

The couple’s nearly three-decade relationship produced several children, though only one remains a minor.

Thiam has maintained a steady presence on social media, often sharing glimpses of their family life through her Instagram account @mekas .world.

While the couple kept most of their marriage out of the public spotlight, the split has now turned into a legal and financial chess match, with custody and property division taking center stage.

Akon submitted his response to the divorce filing in Los Angeles Superior Court on November 10.

Cardi B Hints At Her Newborn’s Cute Name & Discusses Grueling Pregnancy

Cardi B confirmed the birth of her fourth child and first with Stefon Diggs during an appearance at a New York City boutique opening, where she also hinted at her newborn son’s name and opened up about a physically taxing pregnancy.

“I’m not sharing the name yet,” the 33-year-old rapper told Highsnobiety at the CYBEX Global flagship launch in Manhattan. “It’s cute.”

The Bronx-born artist, who recently dropped her latest album Am I The Drama?, revealed that her pregnancy required her to stay off her feet for an extended period. “You know, I was a little bit on bed rest because that baby — oh. That baby was heavy,” she said.

The baby boy, born last week, is the first child for Cardi and the New England Patriots wide receiver. The couple’s relationship became public in June 2025 after months of speculation that began in late 2024.

Cardi, who shares three children — Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 1 — with Offset, filed for divorce from the Migos rapper in August 2024. She described the separation as “not peaceful at all” during a September interview on The Breakfast Club.

Diggs has an eight-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. He also recently confirmed paternity of another child after taking a test involving an Instagram model.

At the boutique event, Cardi reflected on how motherhood has shaped her identity and how she presents herself.

“I dress like, when was the last time I ain’t had a kid? Before I was 25,” she joked.

She also spoke about the importance of self-respect and setting an example for her children.

“I will stand up for myself,” she said. “Sometimes people be like, ‘Oh no avoid it.’ No, I will stand up for myself. Then my kids can see that they mama ain’t no punk.”

Cardi announced the birth on Instagram Thursday, calling it the beginning of a “next era” in her life. She’s set to kick off her Little Miss Drama Tour on February 11 in Palm Desert, California.

EXCLUSIVE: Busta Rhymes Fights To Prevent Leaks That Could Derail $6M Legal Battle With Former Assistant

Busta Rhymes is asking a federal judge in Brooklyn to enforce a stricter protective order, claiming his former assistant could leak confidential case materials and jeopardize his right to a fair trial.

The Hip-Hop icon and his attorneys argue that sensitive items, such as private messages, videos, and arrest records, must remain sealed to prevent media exposure before trial.

This legal move comes as Rhymes battles both civil and criminal claims from Dashiel Gables, his former assistant. Gables filed a lawsuit in August 2025 seeking $6 million in damages.

He alleges Rhymes assaulted him in January in the lobby of the rapper’s Brooklyn apartment building, then fired him after he reported the incident to police.

The complaint also accuses Busta Rhymes of wage theft, workplace mistreatment and blacklisting him in the music industry. Rhymes has denied all wrongdoing and filed a countersuit in October, accusing Gables of defamation.

In court filings, he called the original lawsuit a “shake-down” and rejected claims that he assaulted Gables or forced employees to perform degrading tasks.

That includes an allegation that one assistant was told to unclog a toilet with his bare hand.

In the recent motion, Rhymes’ legal team warned that media coverage and online speculation have already “infected the case.”

They argued that even small leaks of discovery materials could sway public opinion and contaminate the jury pool.

“Minor disclosures of confidential material,” they wrote, “could have an outsized impact on the fairness of the proceedings.”

Gables’ attorneys pushed back, calling the motion an attempt to silence their client.

They described Rhymes’ defamation suit as a “retaliatory Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation (SLAPP)” and said the issues in the case involve public safety and alleged misconduct by a well-known figure, matters they claim are protected by the First Amendment.

Busta Rhymes turned himself in earlier this year after being charged with a crime related to the January incident.

A briefing on the revised protective order is scheduled for later this month.
