Beyoncé’s Dad Mathew Knowles Shuts Down Rumors Of A Destiny’s Child Reunion

Are Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams ready to officially reunite as Destiny’s Child? The iconic girl group’s longtime manager, Mathew Knowles, says the answer is no.

According to TMZ, Mathew Knowles confirmed there are no immediate plans for the trio to join together again. Rumors of a possible reunion began after fans noticed the headers on the official Destiny’s Child social media pages were changed.

The Twitter and Facebook photo switches for the Destiny’s Child accounts were said to be just part of a random update. Apparently, Mathew Knowles did not ask for the images to be replaced.

There was speculation in 2019 that Destiny’s Child would reunite for another run. At the time, Mathew Knowles made an appearance on the Tamron Hall talk show where he discussed the likelihood of Beyoncé, Kelly, and Michelle making more music as a unit.

“I still officially manage [Destiny’s Child]. Every day I have the responsibility of licensing. I have a lot of responsibilities that folks don’t know,” said Mathew Knowles. He added about a potential reunion, “I do have impact in that decision. I do.”

Destiny’s Child released their first self-titled album in 1998. At the time, DC consisted of Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, LeToya Luckett, and LaTavia Roberson.

In 2000, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson were replaced in Destiny’s Child by Farrah Franklin and Michelle Williams. Farrah Franklin eventually left the group, and the remaining members continued to perform as a three-woman unit.

Between 1999 and 2004, Destiny’s Child released the studio LPs The Writing’s on the Wall, Survivor, and Destiny Fulfilled. Their #1’s compilation album came out in 2005. Destiny’s Child scored four No. 1 hits on Billboard‘s Hot 100 songs chart.

Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams did link back up for the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show in 2013 and Beyoncé’s headlining set at the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. They also had a mini-reunion on Kelly’s 2014 single “Say Yes” featuring Beyoncé and Kelly.

DVSN & Ty Dolla Sign Drop Joint Project ‘Cheers To The Best Memories’

Toronto duo dvsn and Los Angeles singer/songwriter Ty Dolla $ign joined forces for a new collaborative album. Cheers To The Best Memories arrived on DSPs this morning (August 20).

The 11-track collection includes a feature from late rapper Mac Miller on the single “I Believed It.” Daniel Daley, Nineteen85, and Ty Dolla $ign also released “Memories” before the album dropped.

Compton rapper YG and Puerto Rican rapper Rauw Alejandro show up on Cheers To The Best Memories as well. Ty Dolla $ign and dvsn’s studio LP was released via Drake’s OVO Sound record label.

Cheers To The Best Memories lands after dvsn let lose their A Muse in Her Feelings album in 2020. Ty Dolla $ign was featured on that project’s “Dangerous City” along with Buju Banton.

Dvsn also dropped the studio LPs Sept. 5th in 2016 and Morning After in 2017. The release of Cheers To The Best Memories follows the OVO Sound recording artists signing a management deal with LVRN.

Ty Dolla $ign’s discography contains his solo albums Free TC (2015), Beach House 3 (2017), and Featuring Ty Dolla Sign (2020). In 2018, he teamed with fellow R&B vocalist Jeremih for the joint effort MihTy.

Soulja Boy Claims He’s the New Owner of Atari. Atari Begs to Differ

Rapper Soulja Boy took to IG live to reveal that he is the new owner of Atari! In the video, Soulja said that the company, impressed by the success of his SouljaGames console, reached out to him to make a deal.

He continued saying that he’s selling his current gaming company for a massive $140 million. He said he has signed two deals with Atari proclaiming, “I’m the owner! First rapper to own a video game company!”

He then goes on to make the elaborate assertion, “We gone’ take it to the next level just like we did SouljaGames.” The “She Make it Clap” rapper then thanked his fans saying he couldn’t do it without them.

Listen to Soulja Boy’s bold claims!

He also reveals that new SODMG Records signee, Chet Hanks, has some “fire” new music on the way. In an unexpected move, he says the project will be a country music album. SODMG is the recently revamped record label Soula Boy founded in 2014. He also said that another of his artists, Skinnyfromthe9 has new music coming too.

He goes on to say that a new SOD group album is in the works and maybe even a SOD movie.

However, don’t be too quick to take Soulja’s claims at face value. Atari took to Twitter last night and appeared to address Soulja’s comments saying, “We know that CEO of Atari is a dream job, but that honor belongs to Wade Rosen,”

Whether or not Soulja has some sort of working relationship with Atari remains to be seen. Soulja has been making attempts to conquer the gaming industry for some years, maybe this plan will work out for him!

Aaliyah’s ‘One In A Million’ Album Arrives On Streaming Services

Fans of the late Aaliyah have been waiting years for her music to finally be available on streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal. That day has finally come.

Aaliyah’s second studio LP, One In A Million, is now available to stream. In addition, the 2x-Platinum project quickly jumped to #1 on the iTunes all-genre chart.

One In A Million originally dropped in 1996 via Blackground/Atlantic. The album hosts the singles “Hot Like Fire,” “If Your Girl Only Knew,” “4 Page Letter,” “The One I Gave My Heart To,” and the title track.

Besides earning commercial success and critical praise, Aaliyah’s One In A Million is also one of the earliest introductions to the groundbreaking production sound developed by Timbaland and Missy Elliott. One In A Million features guest appearances by Timbaland, Missy Elliott, Treach, and Slick Rick.

There does seem to be some disagreement between Blackground Records owner/Aaliyah’s uncle Barry Hankerson and the Aaliyah Estate. Earlier this month, the Estate released a statement about the R&b singer’s catalog being re-released for streaming platforms.

The Aaliyah Estate posted:

Protecting Aaliyah’s legacy is, and will always be, our focus. For 20 years we have battled behind the scenes, enduring shadowy tactics of deception with unauthorized projects targeted to tarnish. We have always been confused as to why there is such a tenacity in causing more pain alongside what we already have to cope with for the rest of our lives. Now, in this 20th year, this unscrupulous endeavor to release Aaliyah’s music without any transparency or full accounting to the estate compels our hearts to express a word – forgiveness. Although we will continue to defend ourselves and her legacy lawfully and justly, we want to preempt the inevitable attacks on our character by all the individuals who have emerged from the shadows to leech off of Aaliyah’s life’s work. Ultimately, we desire closure and a modicum of peace so we can facilitate the growth of the Aaliyah Memorial Fund and other creative projects that embody Aaliyah’s true essence, which is to inspire strength and positivity for people of all creeds, races and cultures around the world.

Aaliyah Haughton died in the Bahamas at the age of 21 in 2001. The Brooklyn-born, Detroit-bred musician and eight other people were killed in a plane crash after filming the music video for “Rock The Boat” off 2001’s Aaliyah album.

BMF Executive producer 50 Cent revealed that they had to get creative to turn back time and make Em look like a teenager. In the episode that Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson directed himself, the production team used the same technology that Martin Scorsese used in “The Irishman”.

50 said he “wasn’t sure I could make it happen” but that it worked out in the end. Speaking at the Television Critics Assn. press tour panel on August 19, he disclosed that it was only the second time he had acted as director.

Snoop Dogg is also in the first season making an appearance as the family’s spiritual advisor, Pastor Swift.

R. Kelly Trial Addresses His Marriage to Aaliyah, Prosecutors Say They Have Proof She Thought She Was Pregnant

R. Kelly’s trial began earlier this week in Brooklyn and new details emerged relating to the charges he’s facing. The disgraced R&B singer is facing charges including forced labor, kidnapping, sex trafficking, and several violations of the Mann Act. The act makes it a criminal offense to transport “any woman or girl” across state lines for “immoral purposes.” New details emerged regarding his relationship with Aaliyah.

According to XXL, Brooklyn Assistant District Attorney Maria Cruz Melendez’s opening statement alleged that R. Kelly and Aaliyah married in 1994. At the time, Kelly was 27 and Aaliyah was 15 years old.

It was also revealed that prosecutors have reason to believe R. Kelly discovered Aaliyah suspected she was pregnant. Kelly thought marrying Aaliyah would prevent her from testifying against him in court if it was revealed that he impregnated a 15-year-old girl.

XXL report that Cruz Mendez began her opening statement describing a night in 1994 when Kelly received some news about Aaliyah while on tour. “She thought that she was pregnant. This, of course, was a huge problem for him,” Melendez Cruz states. “At the time Aaliyah was only 15 years old and if she was pregnant, that meant that there would be questions, a lot of questions. At the very top of that list of questions would be: Who is the father of that baby?”

The Assistant District Attorney continued saying that Kelly and his circle devised a plan to prevent Aaliyah from talking and keep him out of jail. Describing the plan she says, “the defendant decided that he needed to marry Aaliyah, that way, as far as he understood, if anyone found out about the pregnancy, about his sexual activity with her, Aaliyah could not talk. In other words, if she’s his wife, then she can’t testify against him, or so he thought.”

Cruz Melendez said that R Kelly then flew to Chicago and met Aaliyah at a hotel to arrange their marriage. As Aaliyah was underage, Kelly allegedly bribed a Chicago public official to get her a fake ID. The ID was to list her as 18 years old so that they could obtain a marriage license.

Kelly has denied the allegations against him including that he had an alleged sexual relationship with Aaliyah. Nicole Blank Becker, one of Kelly’s lawyers, told the court there is no proof that Aaliyah was pregnant. She asked the jury to remain skeptical regarding the alleged fake ID scheme.

R. Kelly is facing multiple sexual misconduct charges in New York, Chicago, and elsewhere. If found guilty Kelly could be facing between 10 years to life in prison.

Nicki Minaj’s Husband Claims Name Was Forged So He Should Not Be Considered A Sex Offender

The story of Nicki Minaj’s husband status as a sex offender has taken another twist.

Kenneth “Zoo” Petty just launched some legal action of his own, in an attempt to have his name removed from New York’s Sex Offender Registry.

In 1995, Petty was convicted of the knife point rape of a 16-year-old named Jennifer Hough. In new court documents, Petty is attempting to have his removed from the registry on a technicality

According to TMZ, Petty maintains he was never given a chance to oppose the risk level assigned to him. He claims he was incarcerated for manslaughter at the time of a status hearing.

Petty also alleges the notice of his court hearing was sent to the wrong address, and that someone forged his signature before the hearing.

As a result, Kenneth Petty was labeled a level two sex offender and his name was placed on the Sex Offender Registry for at least 25 years.

According to his lawsuit, Kenneth Petty claims he has suffered humiliation and financial loss due to his status as a sex offender.

Last week, AllHipHop reported that his victim, Jennifer Hough, was suing Kenneth Petty and her and his famous wife Nicki Minaj.

Hough claims Petty violated the terms of his plea deal multiple times by contacting her in an attempt to bribe to offer a bribe to recant her story.

Petty’s mission was well defined, according to Hough.

He was attempting to pressure her into recanting with an offer of $500,000, so he could have his remove his name removed from the Sex Offender Registry.

Hough claimed Kenneth Petty and Nicki Minaj have been terrorizing her for years, by bombarding her with multiple phone calls, hiring private investigators to track her down, and sending childhood friends from their Jamaica, Queens neighborhood to intimidate her into changing her story so Petty could get off the list.

Kenneth Petty, who also is known by the alias Avery Johnson, recently took a plea deal for failing to register as a sex offender in the state of California, where he was living with Nicki illegally.

Pope Francis Boots Viral Bishop Caught Pleasuring Himself On Zoom

Holy Smoke!

That’s exactly what Father Tomé Ferreira de Silva, the bishop of the Diocese of São José do Rio Preto is saying now that he has been caught up in yet another sex scandal.

The priest was caught exposing himself on a zoom call and now the Pope has replaced him.

Pope Francis has accepted Bishop Ferreira de Silva’s resignation after the 60-year-old clergy exposed himself over a video to others. But this is not the first time he has been in trouble for salacious behavior.

An Instagram post from IB Times shared the headlines overseas, “Tomé Ferreira de Silva, the bishop of the Diocese of São José do Rio Preto, has previously been accused of sexual misconduct, mismanaging funds of the diocese and ignoring allegations of local priests abusing minors.”

The Vatican has been investigating him for covering up church sex scandals in Latin America for years.

The Roman Catholic church alleged that he embezzled money from the catholic church, had a romantic affair with his driver, and also sent sexually explicit messages to an adolescent male. In fact, in 2014, the diocese that he served petitioned to have him removed.

Natalia Truzzi, one of the signers of the petition, told the Diario de Regiao, “We had already signed another petition, in 2014, asking for his replacement, but we received no response. This time, we hope that the church will pronounce itself, because after the video, his presence in front of the diocese and in celebrations will be difficult.”

This story is developing.

Destiny’s Child Fans Go Crazy With Speculation Of Group Reuniting

Destiny’s Child sent fans into a frenzy after changing their header on social media.

The girl group – comprising Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams – sparked speculation they are up to something after switching up the logo on their Facebook and Twitter pages.

The last time the girls were known to be together was in May when an audio clip was shared by Michelle on Twitter featuring herself, Beyonce, and Kelly talking to mark the release of Michelle’s book “Checking In: How Getting Real about Depression Saved My Life – and Can Save Yours.”

In the recording, Kelly revealed she was making a soup, prompting Beyonce to spill: “I’m cooking some music. That’s Chef Boyardee and Chef Boy-Kelly.”

Beyonce’s last solo studio album was 2016’s Lemonade. Since that release, her other musical projects have been the collaborative LP Everything Is Love with her husband Jay-Z, the Black is King visual album, and the soundtrack which she created for Disney’s 2019 remake of “The Lion King.”

The last time Destiny’s Child was on stage together was at Coachella in 2018, when they performed a three-song medley of “Lose My Breath,” “Say My Name” and “Soldier.”

8PETOWN – Welcome to 8PETOWN

Recently 8PETOWN label owners Adrian (@8PECEO) and Kyle (@SauceyKy_) spoke about their growth as a record label coming out of the Inland Empire.

Getting their start in high school throwing viral parties at overflowing functions, the group eventually started booking actual concerts and managing talent.

“Yea we began to throw house parties that went a lot more viral than expected which helped us grow a fan base. After high school we began to throw legit concerts,” Adrian said.

“Went from doing house parties to concerts straight into management,” Kyle added.

Hoping to grow beyond just house parties and looking to legitimize their hustle, the duo officially merged and began promoting concerts under the 8K name.

Finding their way booking shows with 03 Greedo, Blueface and Roddy Ricch before they broke big nationally, Adrian and Kyle built a massive following using both word of mouth and TikTok where they still maintain a presence today.

“Our first show was 03 Greedo where I was able to book him just by hitting him in the dm. It was his last show in the IE before he went back to jail,” Adrian said. “Off that we found an upcoming artist nobody knew of at the time named Blueface. We were able to book him for $400 at the time and have a great show. One of our last shows before we started managing our label was Roddy Ricch. It was before he blew how he is now. From there I noticed I was finding artists early so I got the idea to blow up artists myself.”

Branching off from concerts this business savvy duo eventually expanded to an all out record label where they have been responsible for nearly a dozen viral hits on TikTok.

Taking off regionally and expanding beyond the scorching hot streets of the I.E., 8PETOWN found its way on to Billboard’s Hot 100 Charts with the single,”Lets Link” by Who Heem.

“My partner and I are 22 running a whole label and we created our own sound. We were able to accomplish so much in 2 years,” Adrian proclaimed. “We just dropped our Welcome to 8PETOWN project featuring all of our artists including one fo the fastest rising, newest up and coming artists, Remble.”

Some of their other hit songs include: KingMostWanted “In My City,” “Different Vareties,” “High Power,” and “Choosin Szn.” MCM Raymond “Everyweek,” “Everyweek Remix” Ft Lil Tecca and “Neighborhood Hoochie,” GIRLZLUHDEV “Tooka” and “Day 1 Starter” Ft Remble, DMB Gotti “Peter Piper,” Trill Ryan “She Gon Go.”

”At a young age I was introduced to music from my dad. He was chasing his dreams to be a rapper as I was growing up. My dad liked all music so he would show me everything which allowed me to grow an ear for everything. A lot of his friends were big engineers and people in the music industry so it kept me in the loop of how the music industry was changing,” Adrian said. “I feel like we are one of the most hated and underrated in the Inland Empire. It’s very rare you see an artist come out of the I.E. however we changing the game where it’s starting to be a thing”

Chance the Rapper Explains How Buying A House Helped Save His Marriage

Chance the Rapper snapped up his first home during the COVID pandemic to save his marriage.

The rap star, his wife Kirsten Corley, and their kids had been bouncing from apartment to apartment, but when they had to isolate together during the 2020 lockdown, he realized it was time to get a bigger place.

“Me and my girl, we basically went apartment to apartment – probably, like, six different apartments – and then we had two kids and the pandemic happened and we just could not make it in our marriage if we had stayed in that apartment,” he told comedians Desus & Mero.

“I got the message from her after a while. She was kinda, like, hinting at like, ‘This s### is too small…!’ And I realized we wanted a backyard.

“Also, we were living in Downtown Chicago by a bunch of hotels, so, like, you’re seeing random people all the time. Now there’s nobody out there. Where we live, it’s just quiet all the time, there’s trees and s###.”

But Chance admits his first few days in his new place were “super-scary” because the floorboards of his house creak at night.

“There’s no, like, doorman downstairs, who you can call,” he adds. “You just gotta go check on that s**t. You gotta go and see what’s happening, and I hate that every time. What if there is somebody down there?”

Jay Blaze’s 30 in 30 Series Gets “POPPIN” With the Help of Bobby Skyz & Zaku

For CEO and artist, Jay Blaze, Global Sound Music is not simply the name of his record label. The company’s ‘We’re global. They’re local” mantra is a statement of fact.

Case in point is his latest single, “Poppin” Ft. Bobby Skyz & Zaku which features the combined crooning talents of Nigerian-born Bobby Skyz and Filipino American Zaku, labelmate to Jay Blaze. A pandemic-born song about finding your energy when the odds are against you, “Poppin” is finding favor in the DJ realm, including DJ Whoo Kid. The song is currently spinning on stations like NY’s Power 105.1 and Shade 45, as well as in markets like Chicago and Las Vegas. “Poppin” , which was produced by @sirrahmal, appears on Jay Blaze’s album“Point of No Return.”

The visual for “Poppin” was released as part of Global Music Sound’s 30 for 30 campaign; in which they dropped 30 music videos in 30 days and is considered the standout of the series.

Like most of Jay Blaze and Zaku’s pre-pandemic visuals, Bobby Skyz’s verse on “Poppin” was shot in Southeast Asia – Manila to be exact. Jay Blaze and Zaku look forward to returning to the region to create again, once they can safely do so.

Summer Madness Coming… Is Wyclef Good Enough To Be On The Biggest Stage In Battle Rap???

Rapper Wyclef Jean is a Hip-Hop genius.

As the musical engineer behind the mega trio The Fugees and so many other artists at the top of the charts and a man of such character and heart that he almost became the President of Haiti, you almost can’t predict what he might hop into next.

So … do you think AllHipHop.com was shocked to see him PG-stepping in a Jersey parking lot, 50+ spitting a freestyle in front of Freeway? Hell, Nah.

Quiet as it is kept, Clef has been in these streets freestyling for a minute. He actually started off as a battle rapper.

Clef is locked into what’s popping in today’s music and in modern-day battle rap culture and has supported leagues by tuning in on Caffeine TV, PPV and YouTube.

As one of the forces curating the commercial career for battle rap’s Mt. Rushmore candidate, Arsonal da Rebel, he is fully up to speed on punchlines, schemes, and how to make lyrics matter in a competitive way.

Check out this video captured by the HipHopisReal team, where he lets Freeway get a little taste.

But is he ready for URL?

This is not the first time that we’ve seen Clef in these streets trying to catch wreck. In a tuxedo, the “Gone ‘Til November” artist kinda killed the young boy that stepped up asking for the fever.

He done spit hot fire in front of NuNu Nellz, one of the most powerful businesswomen in battle rap, now he just has to get talk to her big brother Smack. Summer Madness could use one more big name to add to the star power of the night. Adding one of the top-selling rappers in the world to the list would just be even more sickening.

Or … he could just put up $100,000 like Drake for the next Ultimate Madness and do a concert at the finals.

Either way, if something comes out of this, we want our cut.
