Record Label VP/Producer Posts Bail For Kevon Lawless, Alleged Killer Of 3-Year-Old

Rap producer Nigel Talley posted over a quarter million dollars to get a man named Kevon Lawless out of jail, despite the fact that he was rotting in a Louisville cell for fatally shooting Brandon Waddles and his three-year-old daughter Trinity Randolph.

Kevon Lawless was arrested for the two murders and his bond was first set for $1 million.

At some point it was reduced to $300,00, which Talley posted in cash according to court reports.

Records show that he killed both father and daughter, while he was still on parole for 10-year sentence from a 2017 conviction of attempted murder.

Where did Tally get that much money in cash from? Talley is the Vice President of A&R Alamo Records and has been working in the industry for some time.

According to Billboard’s 2020 R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players list, Talley is one of the most accredited producers in Black music.

He has worked with chart-topper Yo Gotti, a local Louisville rapper named EST Gee and others.

EST Gee, who recently signed to Yo Gotti’s CMG imprint, has been bubbling for a while under Talley’s direction.

On various social media accounts, connected to EST Gee, he and Kevon Lawless appear to be acquaintances.

This seems to be an industry hook up for Talley’s artist, who recently revealed he had hopes to be a football player.

It was also uncovered that Lawless too is a rapper, who audaciously released a video of him in the studio spitting, “I play with pistols. I like shooting, I’m not into gaming.”

The family of Waddles and Little Trinity are devastated. They learned about his release after seeing something on Instagram (not from the courts).

Lawless is supposedly locked on house incarceration. However, he will have to be monitored, on his last dance with the law he was twice charged with “escaping home incarceration.”

No one can find Talley to ask him why he paid the bail … and people are asking WTF.

“@alamorecords and Nigel talley!! Little Trinity’s life mattered! As did her father’s.”

The prayers go out to Waddles and Randolph families.

From Omaha, Nebraska To Los Angeles, Meet Rising Alternative Rockstar SK8

SK8 is the definition of a music-lover, here to bless the music industry with his undeniable talents as a recording artist while displaying his vibrant, out-of-this-world personality for the world to see.

Blending the worlds of hip-hop, alternative and punk rock, the Omaha, Nebraska native has been writing his own lyrics since he was a teenager, wearing his heart on his sleeve with each release.

In 2015, SK8 exploded onto the scene with his collaborative single “Like That” alongside social media stars Jack & Jack.

With his boy-next-door charm and down-to-earth persona, SK8 began to build his own fanbase and following, exuding nothing short of positive and good energy.

Fast forward to today, SK8 has relocated to sunny Los Angeles and joins the revered Taylor Gang family lead by Wiz Khalifa.

Boasting his own imprint titled Alignment and teaming up with Atlantic Records, SK8 continues to put in the work to become one of the greats.

His most recent releases include “Girl Next Door,” “Famous” featuring Tyla Yaweh and “Caught In The Middle,” holding fans over until the release of his forthcoming project.

On the latest episode of Shirley’s Temple, SK8 discusses how he met Wiz Khalifa, starting his own label, collaborating with Tyla Yaweh on “Famous,” working with Diablo & Lil Xan, opening for Lil Wayne, and more!

AllHipHop: How is it smoking with Wiz Khalifa?

SK8: His weed gets you high, that KK s### is different. It really is different bro. It keeps you up too, you can work off that s### all night. To be honest, I really like smoking Wonderbrett’s Pink Picasso. I like any type of OG. What’s my other favorite? Mochis, s### like that.

AllHipHop: How did you end up linking with Wiz in the first place?

SK8: The Wiz link up is crazy. You know Ricky P, he’s a producer for Taylor Gang. We were in the studio, he said “Wiz is finna pull up.” It was 4am, we’ve been working since 8pm. Yo, Wiz is about to pull up at 4am? S### alright, I guess we gotta keep going. Ricky said “yeah, he just woke up.” Boom, we get in the studio. He’s listening to the s###, he said “this is dope. You want to make some s###?” Hell yeah I want to make some s###! It clicked. After that, I was trying to find a manager because I already had my label in place.

AllHipHop: What’s your label?

SK8: I started my own label, that’s one of my goals. I started that with my partner James McMillan. I started my label with him called Alignment Records, we did the JV underneath Atlantic. That’s how I got tapped in there, but I was looking for a manager at the time. Will was coming into sessions, I was still recording with Wiz. I was talking to some other people, but I felt they understood how I move, what I want to do and my goals. We had a lot of conversations, that’s how I became part of Taylor Gang. I’m not technically signed to the label, but I’m signed to management.

AllHipHop: Shout out to Will!

SK8: Shout out Will, that’s the man. Shoutout Wiz, shoutout Chevy really for real. Chevy introduced me first too. I did a song with Chevy in 2016 on my mixtape called Skaterade, before I did a headlining tour. This was when I was independent. He came out on stage in Pittsburgh at Mr. Smalls with me, which is crazy. It’s always been a linkup. It’s crazy man.

AllHipHop: Is that when you were poppin’ on Vine?

SK8: That’s when I was really poppin’ on social media. The people I was around were mad poppin’ on Vine. They were stupid poppin’, but I was always known for my music. Opening up for people, I was always doing music. Boom, social media really helped me stay independent, deadass tour and sell tickets. I didn’t really need a label at the time.

I didn’t feel like I needed them. I’d been spending a lot of my own money on my own videos and a lot of s###. To be honest, I see it like this. If we look at it from a basketball standpoint, I didn’t put all this work and time in the gym to not go to the NBA. I’m trying to be with the big dawgs and all the big dawgs are signed. There’s some independent people, but I’m here to win. Independently if that’s what you want to do — that’s the thing, you can do whatever you want. However you want to live your life, you can live it that way. If you want to live independently and tour, do 500 to 1000 or 1500 shows, you can live and be good and great. Curren$y does 5,000 seaters, he’s indie and cool. But I always seen myself in arenas.

AllHipHop: Do you miss performing?

SK8: Hell yeah, a lot.

AllHipHop: I actually interviewed JVCK J, was that the poppin’ Vine stars you were talking about?

SK8: Yeah, JACK & JACK. He’s awesome, great soul. They got mad poppin’ on Vine when that s### was hella cracking, it was like TikTok. They were in the top 10 Viners. We weren’t really friends at the time because I transferred my senior year to a different school, but I went to the school before. They knew me because my sophomore year, I was always passing out CDs. Always doing music. When they got cracking, they wanted to do music. They said “yo, let’s make a song.” We made one song. We buy the beat, cheap as f###. We go Gold and that’s before streaming, all real downloads. That was my first “oh s###, this is crazy independent.” We really had some power.

AllHipHop: Jack & Jack split up, right?

SK8: They split up, but they still do s### together. They wanted to do a little solo career, you know how everybody wants to do their thing. It’d be tough being in a group. That s### must be hard, that’s why you see rock bands always breaking up. A lot of rock bands be breaking up, at least they’ll lose a drummer or a lead guitar. There’s a lot of politics going on with the business.

AllHipHop: How do you navigate that?

SK8: I try to stay up out of it, that’s why I got my best friend Will. He f###### runs the sticks behind-the-scenes, he’s really tapped in.

AllHipHop: Are you spiritual?

SK8: I’m spiritual for sure, definitely spiritual. I believe in God. It’s more I believe in a higher power that created us. Obviously you know the book has been changed a lot so you can’t really believe everything that’s in the textbook. Something definitely way greater than human form created us. We didn’t create us. Something that’s bigger than us created us.

AllHipHop: “Caught In The Middle” out now, how are you feeling?

SK8: It feels good. We’ve been working on this project for so long, really 8 months to a year. I dropped sk8sounds my last project last January on my birthday, so it’s definitely been a year and some change working on this. It’s cool. It was cool to get the first single out: “Famous” with Tyla Yaweh. He’s one of my good friends. He’s a rockstar, we killed a whole bottle to ourselves that day. We took the whole 42 to the head.

AllHipHop: Ya’ll were hanging off cars in the video!

SK8: We were so f###### drunk. Daniel [Kelly] directed that s###, shout out Daniel. Daniel’s going crazy on my videos. He’s in the studio with me all the time, he’s seeing how I make my music. What’s the vibes? What’s the energy of it? Sometimes we might even talk about some s### like “oh s### bro! If I said this, we could shoot some da-da-da.” There’s no reason why he shouldn’t be directing the videos. He’s already a huge part of it and he’s dope in the camera.

AllHipHop: Is there a deeper meaning behind “Famous”?

SK8: The meaning is easy: girls trying to be famous.

AllHipHop: How are those DMs?

SK8: My DMs are good. I’m good, I’m solid. My DMs are a poppin’, but I got a new a…

AllHipHop: You got a bae?

SK8: Nah, hell nah. I got a few baes, but not like that. I can’t, I was in a relationship for 3 years. That was a long time for me. It was good, I was in love. That s### was fun, I was having a great time.

AllHipHop: This is why you don’t have your dog anymore!

SK8: We were just talking about that, my ex got my dog. That means she still wants a piece of me. She wants to keep a little SK8 not gonna lie.

AllHipHop: So what happened?

SK8: Really, it was nothing. We really didn’t go out with no b#######, we still sometimes talk. It’s tough in the business. We’re both in the same scene so there’s certain things that come our way. We gotta do things that might upset each other and I didn’t want that to affect both of us, she didn’t want it to either. Respectfully, we gotta take care of ourselves first and be our highest form, then we can do what we need to do. That’s what it was.

AllHipHop: What’s your highest form?

SK8: I want to take care of my family, I want to put my older brother in charge. I want to really build something that’s real, then I can say “okay, now I have time to give you my time.” Time’s so valuable, especially right now. S### gets real!

AllHipHop: How was collaborating with Diablo and Lil Xan?

SK8: Yes, that s###’s crazy. We made a song, it’s hot. It’s a hard ass song. I can’t really say if it’s going to be on the album or not, but it’s fire. Rook played the drums on it. Rook played the drums on most of my album. Also a guy named Colin Britain, he’s cold.

AllHipHop: How’d you link with Rook?

SK8: I linked with Rook through a mutual friend, my boy Taylor introduced me cause he was real tight with Machine Gun Kelly and the whole crew. I started kicking it with Rook. Rook was trying to get in the studio man, he’s a studio rat like me. He loves playing them drums. I don’t know if you seen he got in an accident, a couple days ago he already said “yo SK8, can I pull up to the studio?” Because I was in the studio still, he said “I gotta pull up.” He’s playing with his left foot because he can’t play with this foot, and he had a little fractured bone. He was going nuts! He’s a studio rat like me so we cliqued up and started making this crazy music.

AllHipHop: That’s a gamechanger to have real drums.

SK8: We got really dope guitar players that were able to play some dope s###. Shout out my dude Dom, he did all the bass. He’s from Kansas City, we linked up in my hometown Omaha. The album’s crazy. The first two are a little drive, then the rest of the project is really really dope. It’s my best work for sure.

AllHipHop: What is it about SK8 that fans love?

SK8: They can relate to my music and relate to who I am. I’m not trying to be nothing I’m not, that’s the most important. I’m here to really inspire people to do what I do, so people can feel that. Yeah it’s cool to get money and have money, but once you find something bigger than that and can inspire people, that’s what I’m here to do. Because I was inspired to do this by certain people: Wiz, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne. A lot of people that inspired me so I gotta do that same thing.

AllHipHop: What’s your favorite Wiz song? I’m obsessed with Kush & OJ.

SK8: Really it’s gotta be Kush & Orange Juice, that whole thing. That s### was legendary, one of the hardest mixtapes ever. We got a cypher we did: me, Wiz, Chevy, Rapsody, Problem (he snapped), Fedd Da God, then Alchemist was DJing. Legendary s###, it was so old. The illest s### I’ve ever been a part of. Berner was there too, Berner rapped too. It was with Weedmaps, we shot it at Diamond the skatepark. They had the skaters skating by us as we spit bars.

Funny story, we all got the beat. Some of us think we can do s### like the day before. We’re supposed to be shooting in an hour, we’re all in the dressing room listening back to the beat. Spitting to this beat, trying to memorize this s###. We said “yo, we gotta get the teleprompter bro.” The teleprompter saved us. Imagine, I wrote that s### 24 hours prior. I had a 24, Wiz wrote a 40. He wrote his way later than I wrote mine, so he had less time. We’re trying to memorize this s###. I maybe could’ve, but I would’ve f##### it up a little bit. That s### was really cool, we had a good time.

AllHipHop: Do you forget your lyrics ever?

SK8: Not my songs, but if I just wrote a cypher to a beat where it’s straight rapping, my brain hurt at the end of the day. It was 24 hours of straight memorization.

AllHipHop: Did you have advance notice to work on it?

SK8: I ain’t gon’ say, but I definitely procrastinated. Killed that s###, two takes! Two take Jake, two take SK8.

AllHipHop: How did “OMME” with Wiz Khalifa come about?

SK8: OMME is “on me,” s### let me just create a word. That was on sk8sounds, me and Wiz got so much music so it’d be so hard to choose. For mixtapes, we’re working on certain s###. He’s always working on his Taylor Gang stuff, we’re all involved in that. When it comes to our own projects, we usually take our own s### serious, get into our zones. I can go to Wiz, I went to him and said “yo, I need you on this one.” I’ve been looking through all my songs, this is the one!” He says “alright gotchu, boom.” Usually that’s how it works when we work. We definitely have a lot of s### that needs to go out.

AllHipHop: Enough for a project?

SK8: We have so many projects, the gang in general. Me, Chevy, Wiz, Dejy, 24HRS, Ty$, a lot of people under Taylor Gang like Fedd Da God. Narissa, she’s a cool artist. The gang’s good.

AllHipHop: I had Chanel West Coast on Shirley’s Temple earlier, she had opened for Lil Wayne. How was your experience opening for Weezy?

SK8: I opened up for Wayne on 2 shows. I opened up for Wayne on his only show he’s ever done in LSU, in his hometown at Louisiana State. That s### was f###### crazy, it was me, him, and Rich Homie Quan. It was up. It was that show, then we did Florida State University. We did both colleges, both arenas sold out. At least 10 thousand people.

AllHipHop: Were you nervous?

SK8: Yeah, you get nervous if you care about s###. Once you get in it, it’s more getting the nerves calmed down. Damn near gotta meditate. Sometimes weed gets you going a little bit too much. You gotta calm down, you gotta drink something. Weed really takes your heartrate up.

AllHipHop: How hard does SK8 party?

SK8: Oh I get down. I party like s### we can’t talk about s###. I just Wu-Tanged a blunt for the first time today, on some stupid s### for the video. I put it on TikTok, that’ll probably get taken off.

AllHipHop: What are you most excited for with the release of “Girl Next Door”?

SK8: To be able to release music to the masses is already a blessing in disguise. The best part is the feeling of not knowing what type of impact your song will have on the world.

No doubt, the cancelation is due to his sickness.

Pop Smoke Album “Faith” Features All-Star Cast Of Rappers

Pop Smoke’s second posthumous album’s title and tracklist have been revealed.

Faith, a title that reflects so much of his actual life, includes some of pop music’s biggest stars and possibly will be one of the biggest projects of the year.

Slated to drop on Friday (July 16), the album will include the following luminaries: Kanye West, Pusha T, Dua Lipa, Kid Cudi, Pharrell, Lil Tjay, Future, 21 Savage, Quavo and Takeoff of Migos, Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd, 42 Dugg, and Bizzy Banks.

Last year, Victor Victor and The Estate released the first posthumous titled Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon, which had 50 Cent as its executive producer.

Both projects came after his 2020 murder.

The then 20-year-old rapper was killed by burglars that broke into a Hollywood Hills rental two weeks after celebrating the successful release of his second mixtape, Meet the Woo 2.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, Detective Carlos Camacho from the Los Angeles Police Department shared that they believe that Pop Smoke was killed by a minor, 15-year-old, and three others.

It is believed that the teens and one adult involved in the killing of Brooklyn rapper, whose real name is Bashar Jackson, saw his address on a social media post, broke into the house through the back balcony window, shot him, kicked him, and stole his diamond-encrusted Rolex, and sold it for only $2,000.

The adult, Corey Walker (who is now 20), will not face the death penalty for the fatal home invasion.

Instead, if convicted, he may get a maximum of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

In honor of Pop Smoke’s memory, sure fans are encouraged to download the music, but should also check for his foundation, Shoot for the Stars.

Update on Victoria’s Secret Karen Case; Black Woman Raises $100K, But Might Get a Few Million if She Sues

Earlier this week, AllHipHop.com reported that a deranged white woman, now referred to as the Victoria’s Secret Karen, attacked a Nigerian-American Muslim woman named Ijeoma Ukenta in the Short Hills Mall.

Several videos recorded by Ukenta have since gone viral, identifying this attacker as Abigail Elphick and showcasing an apparent race-based bias from the responding officers from the Short Hills Mall security and Millburn Police Department. So egregious was this act, that even the popular lingerie company released a statement.

Ukenta also released a statement. Hers was through a GoFundMe campaign that a) detailed the ordeal, b) mentions how she was treated by law enforcement and c) her plans to take action against the obvious discrimination she experienced from those who were supposed to protect her.

In less than three days, the GoFundMe has raised over $100,000 and continues to rise.

She was at one point asking for people to recommend to her an attorney, but it is not known yet if she has secured one.

What is known is that she has a case.

According to USAttorneys.com, she can sue for “emotional distress through a negligent act.”

The site states, “Victims can successfully sue police officers for emotional distress when an officer has caused emotional distress through a negligent act, or intentionally acted in a way that directly caused the emotional injury.  Emotional distress is severe when a reasonable person in the same position as the victim would be unable to manage or tolerate it, and the victim’s reaction is not unusual for that circumstance. Courts consider intensity and duration of a negative encounter when determining severe distress.”

To succeed in this pursuit, she must prove that the police’s actions were extreme and outrageous and that they stripped away aspects of her dignity. She might be able to achieve this through this one caveat: Negligence inflicted emotional distress.

“Victims might also sue police officers when negligent acts caused emotional distress, rather than those that are intentional or reckless. The extent of emotional harm required for a successful lawsuit depends on the jurisdiction, but in negligence, the officer must owe a “duty of care” to the victim such as a special relationship with the plaintiff that distinguishes it from general police responsibility to the public.”

Do you think her videos prove this? How much do you think she might get? Forget the GoFundMe, because they didn’t respond to her, she might own her own franchise of Victoria’s Secret.

Game Donates To Indian Red Boy’s Funeral To Head Off Beef With Bloods

Compton rap star Game donated thousands of dollars to help with the burial of Indian Red Boy.

Indian Red Boy was shot and killed during an Instagram live session with one of his associates known as Kapone.

Kapone and Indian Red Boy, who are both Bloods from Inglewood, were reportedly involved in the vandalization of a mural dedicated to Nipsey Hussle.

The police are investigating the motive for the murder, including the theory that Indian Red Boy’s slaying may have been retaliation for defacing the mural of Nip, who was a member of the Rollin 60’s Crips.

Game became involved in the deadly drama, over a verse he dropped shortly after Indian Red Boy’s brutal murder.

Game, who was a close affiliate of Nipsey Hussle despite being from a rival gang, offended a variety of Inglewood Blood sets when he rapped on IG live:

We got more Drake’s (Draco guns) than the Billboard/Disrespecting Nip/The type of s### you n##### get killed for/We not gon’ stand for the disrespect/Get this .45 pressed against your neck

Game, who is an admitted member of the Piru Bloods, apologized to the sets in Inglewood, saying the verse was pre-written and he meant no disrespect.

To prove his loyalty to the Bloods, and to de-escalate the situation, Game decided to step up and donate $5,000 to a GoFundMe to cover Indian Red Boy’s funeral costs.

“Holla’d at the family & got it done as promised with my family… Don’t talk about it, be about it,” he said.”Rest In Peace @indianredboy…hope it
helps you guys send him off the way he deserves to be.. & from my loved ones to y’all, we send our condolences.

Game’s manager Wack 100 said he went through the rapper’s phone and confirmed the bars that were deemed disrespectful had been written over two months ago.

Wack 100 also put up $1,000 to make sure Indian Red Boy received a proper burial.

Kraft Mac ‘N’ Cheese Ice Cream? Twitter Says A Collective ‘Yuck!’

In the words of Armon Wiggins, “I know you lying!”

Ice Cream brand Van Leeuwen has just released its new ice cream flavor, Kraft Mac ‘N’ Cheese … and you know what? Ice cream fans are not jacking it.

The New York-based creamery has partnered with The Kraft Heinz Company to bring the boxed version of the Black grandma classic (that nobody’s granny was ever trying to let you eat).

According to Eater.com, the brand that is used to having more upper-scaled French flavors like Royal Wedding (elderflower and lemon) and Earl Grey has incorporated the “cheese powder” into the ice cream. This powder makes the dessert the same Donald Trump-orange color that one might find if they whip up a pot of the quick boil side.

Kraft ice cream (Promo)

Food critic Amy McCarthy tried the ice cream and gave her review.

She said, “The seemingly weird combination of cheese powder and ice cream works because its ingredients are really not all that different from what you’d typically pair Kraft’s cheese powder with. Macaroni and cheese is already made with milk and cream, and many recipes for the dish call for a little bit of sugar — a tablespoon or so — to balance out all that tangy dairy. Salty-sweet is an unbeatable flavor combination, and that’s exactly what’s going on here. The only thing that’s absent is the noodles, and they are absolutely not missed.”

Twitter seems to have mixed reviews on what it might taste like, but most fans ain’t wit it.

“I think this sounds disgusting, but you may not. Would you try the new Van Leeuwen Kraft Mac n cheese ice cream? Let your voice be heard and VOTE! Let’s share it and get it to go viral! #icecream #macncheese #kraft #thursdayvibes #new #vanneeuwen #cheese #foodie #food”

“Kraft mac & cheese ice cream flavor ? Idk man….”

“My son who lives for Kraft mac and cheese and loves ice cream said “why would you put those together” when he heard about this on NPR this morning. If you can’t get a 7 year old behind something, you’re doing it wrong.”

https://twitter.com/Katypeg/status/1415682182006272009?s=20

“I’m pretty sure there’s a spot in Brooklyn that does cheese ice cream that’s actually good, kinda like cheesecake. But Kraft?”

https://twitter.com/stillrene/status/1415673475138605063?s=20

“In what can only be characterized as nonsense. Kraft Mac&Cheese is coming out with Mac&Cheese flavored ice cream.”

https://twitter.com/Tochinoshin33/status/1415669126186508296?s=20

But a couple of people found the thought appealing.

“The Founders ate Parmesan ice cream, so really this is actually an act of patriotism by Kraft”

https://twitter.com/homoeconomix/status/1415670818286178325?s=20

“I gotta try Kraft Dinner ice cream, I know I’m nasty – I plea the 5th”

To be fair, most of the people who said they weren’t checking for the ice cream have not tasted it and will probably never try it. And all the reviews online … encourage folk to run and get a scoop.

Cardi B Says White Twinks Are Posing As Black Women And Starting Wars

Cardi B is going after “white twinks” she says are responsible for constantly starting fights between fans of female stars.

Cardi lit up Twitter and called out her own fans and the fans of other celebrities on the platform for disrespectful tweets.

“White twinks on this app are weird,” Cardi B wrote. “You don’t dictate people’s action.

“I said what I said and I’m not taking it back!!! Ya love to hide behind Black female artist peoples on your avi and be the ones saying the most disrespectful s### about women and dictating their moves and start war between female artist fans ALWAYS!”

Cardi B demanded that the white twinks wave a white flag and and their disrespectful shenanigans.

“Now let’s be nice shall we? Let’s experience greatness and gagging sessions in peace,” Cardi said.

The root of Cardi B’s attack on white twinks on Twitter has yet to be discovered, but she may have been aggravated since she admitted she had diarrhea.

However, it may have something to do with the lavish birthday party she hostes for her three-year-old daughter Kulture with her husband Offset.

Cardi B was dragged because she bought Kulture a $150,000 diamond necklace as a birthday gift.

Cardi wasted no time calling out her detractors.

“When your kid want ice cream for dinner do you give them ice cream for dinner? My baby is overly spoiled with toys & super educated. If mommy & daddy fly then so is my kids. F### I look like being fly a####### and my kid not.”

Notorious B.I.G. Gets His Own Beer Can And Merch

Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace is being commemorated once again. This time the self-described King of New York’s image is part of a Budweiser campaign.

Biggie’s legacy is being honored with limited-edition Budweiser cans. The Anheuser-Busch brand partnered with the Christopher Wallace Estate to exclusively release the products in the late rap legend’s hometown of NYC.

“I am honored to know that a brand such as Budweiser wanted to celebrate my son in this way,” says Biggie’s mother Voletta Wallace. “Christopher’s legacy and brand value is extremely important to myself and the family and memorializing him on the can of an iconic beer brand as ‘Budweiser’ is something I believe he would be happy with.”

The Notorious B.I.G. Tall Boy Budweiser Cans feature:

  • A hand drawn sketch of Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace
  • Phrases including “Brooklyn’s Finest,” “King of New York”
  • The Brooklyn skyline to pay homage to the late rapper’s hometown
  • The Budweiser creed on the can has been replaced with lyrics from Biggie’s Ready To Die album hit, “Unbelievable,” “Live from Bedford-Stuyvesant the livest one, Representin BK to the fullest.”

In addition to the cans, Budweiser launched a limited-edition line of Biggie x Budweiser merchandise which is now available at shopbeergear.com. The collection features t-shirts, sweatshirts, and sweatpants with symbols associated with The Notorious B.I.G. as well as Budweiser’s bowtie and package label.

“The Notorious B.I.G. Budweiser Tall Boy can is the most iconic can collaboration we’ve done to date,” said Daniel Blake, Group VP Marketing, Budweiser & Value at Anheuser-Busch. “We’re grateful for the collaboration with the Christopher Wallace Estate and Biggie’s mother Voletta Wallace to bring this special can to life so that we can celebrate the legacy of the greatest rapper of all time.”

Budweiser is also hosting a free concert in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park Bandshell on August 19. The event is advertised as a celebration of the “Big Poppa” emcee’s life and music. Busta Rhymes, Lil Kim, The Lox,  DJ Steph Cakes, and more acts are expected to perform.

Vincent Zirah’s Musical Revolution: From Infigroove to “Evolution” and Beyond

When you consider that the average person spends 25 hours a month listening to music, the platform they pick to play it on becomes a genuine dilemma. Many services offer subscription-based access to a vast catalog of music and provide a smooth and easy-to-use interface. That’s not difficult to find these days. However, what is hard to track down is a service that’s high-quality, intuitive, and available without all the crazy fees. It’s a classic situation of pick two, and the compromise doesn’t exactly make it a boon for everybody.

In response, Vincent Zirah, a self-taught developer and entrepreneurial music-lover, designed Infigroove, a music service meant to deliver an experience that didn’t skimp on any of these three criteria. However, unlike the big names we’re all well familiar with, Infigroove is both completely free and completely legal, boasting all the features we’ve come to expect from a premium service.

From user-generated playlists to real-time scrolling lyrics to algorithm-based song recommendations and more, everything you need is still here, just with something a little extra thrown in: the ability to watch music videos directly in the player. This then allows for users to pick between audio and visual experiences, granting a level of personal choice and engagement that the major services don’t.

The magic behind this idea is a brilliant combination of several APIs from different services, giving Infigroove the ability to directly interact with YouTube to suggest videos and match them with music databases like Discogs. It’s surprisingly simple at its core but very effective, offering seamless, easy navigation without the hefty price tag that usually comes along with it.

Yet, Infigroove isn’t a lone success for its owner. On top of being owner of the rising free streaming service, Vincent Zirah’s also working on developing a bourgeoning career as a musical artist, shifting to the other side of the industry to more closely connect with the musicians who keep his platform afloat. The recent move was a risky one, although the French producer has risen to the challenge. It’s evident just by a cursory glance at his recent releases that there’s some true talent here under the surface.

His first song entitled “Better Mood” instantly gathered positive reactions regardless of his lack of experience, applauded for its sunny disposition, catchy lyrics, and well-designed arrangement. The bass on the opening verse, the expert-level guitar solo towards the end, and the vocals surging above the instrumentals give it a sense of polish and scale typically missing in beginner artists, instantly distinguishing Vincent Zirah’s work from the thousands of other musicians vying for attention.

The entrepreneur’s first entry into the crowded music market made a very promising start to his new career. For some, it would simply remain just that: a start and nothing else. After all, it’s not unusual for early successes to simply fizzle out before they really get going. Let’s see how it goes for him.

“Evolution,” his second release, came out of that devotion, showing that the GeniusLix founder is more than a one-trick pony. The song’s change in genre and focus audibly supports this, too. More in the realm of Martin Garrix, David Guetta, and other similar performers halfway between pop and electric, “Evolution” has a distinct and clear identity from its predecessor, completely antithetical to “Better Mood’s” Mraz-y summertime branding.

Dr. Dre Co-Signs T-Pain’s Rant About Unoriginal Rappers

T-Pain seems to be fed up with certain modern-day musicians. Last week, the King of Auto-Tune went on an epic rant about artists sounding too much like other artists during a Twitch session.

“Do some different music! We have all the s### that you’re doing! Lil Uzi Vert is already it! Lil Baby is already doing it! DaBaby is already doing it! It’s literally two n##### with Baby in their name that’s already doing all the music you want!” screamed T-Pain.

The Rappa Ternt Sanga album creator continued, “Do something else! Do something else! That’s it! That’s all we want! Do something else! H########. We have it! We have it already! You don’t have to do that music anymore!”

T-Pain got a surprising co-sign from one of the greatest Hip Hop artists of all time. Legendary producer/rapper Dr. Dre made a rare return to social media in order to back up the “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)” hitmaker.

Dr. Dre posted the clip of T-Pain’s diatribe on his Instagram page. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer wrote in the caption, “Shoutout to @tpain!! I’m here laughing my f##### ass off, but he’s right. I know and feel exactly what you’re saying.”

While Dr. Dre seemed to appreciate T-Pain’s comments, other social media users shared negative reactions to the viral video. T-Pain took to Twitter to address the backlash.

“I [understand] not [everyone] likes me and may not agree with my opinions but by all means don’t make up dumb s### like, ‘He just mad because he ain’t got no hits.’ I’m in all different genres. Got 2 legit [Grammys] in the last 3 years and got a song out rn that’s top 15 on radio in the US,” tweeted T-Pain.

He added, “I’m not explaining myself I just don’t like [people] being content with being stupid and uninformed. If some rando talked s### on your page you’d look up all their SM pages to see what dirt you can get 😂. Just do a little research before you think you [hitting] me [with something] 😂.”

Normani & Cardi B Announce New Single “Wild Side”

Both R&B/Pop singer Normani and Hip Hop artist Cardi B were trending on Twitter last night. The online attention is the result of the two women announcing they have a new collaboration on the way.

Normani’s “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B is scheduled to come out tonight (July 15). Apparently, the single is arriving with a music video starring both performers.

“The world is ready for Normani supremacy!!!!” tweeted Cardi B on Wednesday night. Normani quote-tweeted the New York City-raised rapper and added, “Okay sooooo I just watched the video again 😳sis what the actual f###.”

Previously, Cardi B recruited Normani to appear as a surprise cameo in the “WAP” music video. The visuals end with Normani dancing in one of the greenscreen rooms before Latto, Sukihana, Rubi Rose, and Rosalía make appearances.

Speaking of “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, the Recording Industry Association of America recently certified the former Hot 100 #1 as 6x-Platinum. This accomplishment came after Cardi’s “Bodak Yellow” reached Diamond certification in March.

Normani has RIAA plaques on her wall as well. 2019’s “Motivation” is certified Platinum. In addition, the former Fifth Harmony member’s “Love Lies” duet with Khalid is currently certified 5x-Platinum. Both songs made it into the Hot 100’s Top 40.

Throughout her career, Normani has also collaborated with 6lack, Sam Smith, Megan Thee Stallion, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Calvin Harris, and other acts. The two-track Normani x Calvin Harris EP dropped in 2018.

Cardi B’s 2021 includes the release of her record-setting fifth #1 hit “Up.” She also contributed to DJ Khaled’s Khaled Khaled (“Big Paper”) and Migos’ Culture III (“Type S###”). Plus, the Grammy winner teased the announcement of another secret.

Jake Paul, Tyron Woodley Agree To CRAZY Stipulation For Upcoming Match

Social media star turned professional boxer Jake “The Problem” Paul is set to fight ex-UFC champion Tyron “The Chosen One” Woodley.

The two had a press conference in Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday to promo their upcoming match on SHOWTIME PPV on Sunday, August 29 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, OH.

The two athletes were talking that talk, especially since the fight will be on his home turf.He said, “On August 29, in my hometown, you will see a boxing clinic. He’s not going more than three rounds.”

Paul and his brother have been making noise lately as they’ve put on gloves against some noteworthy opponents (eh hem Floyd Mayweather).

Fans think that has given him a false sense of swag. Homie might think that he is better than he really is.At least,

The Chosen One thinks that.

Tyron Woodley also believes that he is the competitor to bring the heat to Mr. YouTube.

He said at the face-off, “Everything I do and everything I throw is going to hurt him. My feints are going to hurt him. It’s going to make his body shake.”

The most surprising thing to come out of the battle was not them puffing their chest out.

It was that both fighters agreed that the loser will tattoo the other person’s name on them. When asked about what he thought about the press conference,

Paul was confident that he would emerge as then winner.

He said, “I saw fear in his eyes. I saw a man who accepted a fight for a paycheck. He doesn’t really have any fight left in him.

“He’s been defeated multiple times now and he will be sent into retirement by a Disney/YouTube/professional boxer in myself,” he continued.

“You’ve never been in a fight like this. You know the whole MMA community is counting on you to knock me out. You’ve never been in a fight of this scale. What happens when you lose to Jake Paul? You’re going to be the laughingstock of the internet.”

But he also admitted that this was his “toughest fight” to date.*

“This is my make-or-break fight. The MMA community is counting on Tyron. They want to see me fall, but he’s not going to be able to get the job done,” he acquiesced.

https://twitter.com/BanesMMA/status/1413641260426960899?s=20

Woodley also had some thoughts and played right into the seasoned influencer and content creatives bag.

“Everything you’ve scripted and wrote down for right now, you’re shaking while saying it. This is a fight. This isn’t for play. This is for real. Look at my resume,” he challenged Paul. “Look at all the up and coming fighters who they gassed up and what happened to them. None of them landed a punch. So many people come up to me on a daily basis and say you have to knock this guy out.”

Tyron Woodley doesn’t sound like he is playing either. He shared what he is doing to prepare.

“This is going to look like a fight. I’m not just going to go out there and swing two punches. I’m training like I’m fighting Mike Tyson. I didn’t get into this for a quick payday,” he confirmed, dismissing Paul’s claim that this is a money grab. “This is my entry into boxing for sure. It’s a stepping stone. When I look at him, I see a kid who has nothing to lose. I’m not going to act like he doesn’t have power, but everyone I’ve faced who had power, made me train even harder.”

He also noted that Floyd Mayweather has been helping develop as a boxer. But guess what … Jake Paul trained with Mayweather too.

Maybe after that family clash with the most highest-paid and undefeated boxer ever, Money Mayweather’s involvement with Woodley might be signaling something.

Rick Ross Treats Surfside First Responders To Thighstop Meal

Rapper Rick Ross is showing the industry how a real boss moves, taking his celebrity as an artist to create industry and solve major corporate problems for his partners.

He is also a beaming example of how to give back.

Last month, during the chicken shortage, we told you that the Maybach Music mogul connected with restaurant partners at Wingstop to create an offshoot franchise, Thighstop.

The business model did not previously consider all parts of the bird. Now, it seasons up the dark meat as quickly (and profitably) as it does the flats and tips.

This strategy has proven to be successful for Rick Ross and so with some of his proceeds, he decided to give back.

According to his Instagram, today he went out to support the first responders who are still dealing with the aftermath of the deadly condo collapse in Surfside, Florida.

Rick Ross captioned, “I bought the @thighstop @wingstop trucks to Surfside to feed the first responders.”

He also paused to remember those who transitioned at a beautiful makeshift memorial that was comprised of flowers, notes, pictures, and balloons.

One of the pictures in the sliding gallery in his IG post had a sign that read, “Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Mourns with You.”

This small gesture of providing lunch and dinner was a simple way for the “Hustlin’” rapper to say that he is also mourning with the community and is grateful for the service of others.

9lokkNine Pleads Guilty To Gun Charges And Scamming Uncle Sam Out Of PPP Money

Rapper 9lokkNine has pleaded guilty to federal gun charges and cheating the government out of COVID-19 relief money in 2020.

These charges are different from the attempted murder and racketeering charges that the Orlando rapper is already facing back in Florida.

The “Seconds Later” rapper, whose real name is Jacquavius Smith has admitted to using a fake identity to receive $10,000 in federal Paycheck Protection Program funds.

The government set those dollars aside for small businesses that struggled during last year’s deadly coronavirus pandemic, and he admitted to committing the fraud in a plea agreement released on Tuesday.

The rapper used someone else’s name, social security number, and address to get the low five-digit pay-out on April 16.

One of the ways that the Feds found out about the fraud was because they intercepted by wiretap Instagram messages he had sent to friends teaching them how to fill out loan applications to get the bag.

The gun charges are related to an unregistered sawed-off semi-automatic rifle found in his grandparent’s house with one of his thumbprints on the rifle magazine and his DNA on the grip area.

What made it even worse is that 9lokkNine is a felon, with a record dating back to five years to when he was 16 years old, stopping him from owning a weapon.

According to the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Records, the gun was stolen back in 2019 during a burglary.

The Orange County Sheriff also found a weapon during a raid of his Hazenridge Way house in June. Law enforcement found him in his bedroom with his duffle bag filled with a fully stocked firearm and 13 “auto sears” for his semi-automatic guns.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 6.

Earlier this month, 9lokkNine and 20 others were connected in some racketeer-influenced and corrupt organization (RICO) charges and conspiracy to commit racketeering charges.

Multiple shootings and homicides are linked to this case, as well as a long-documented beef between 9lokkNine and rapper Hotboii & his 438 gang members.

Damon Dash Accuses Jay-Z of Swindling Streams; Says He Transferred ‘Reasonable Doubt’ from Roc-A-Fella to S. Carter Enterprises LLC

Damon Dash and Jay-Z, once partners and the heads of one of Hip-Hop’s most important record labels, are back in court. At the center of their dispute is the iconic Reasonable Doubt album, the premier project that solidified Jigga as the heir to Biggie’s throne and the ownership of Roc-A-Fella Records.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, they have been in conflict for weeks about this particular issue.

According to the Brooklyn rapper, Dame is trying to profit off of an NFT of the album. The Harlem native says that is not true and notes that he is merely trying to sell his third of the label that produced and distributed the album. A judge ruled earlier this year that Dame could not.

Today, their dispute escalated to new heights with Dame accusing the “Can’t Knock the Hustle” billionaire of fraud.  He claims that Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, is stealing streaming rights to Reasonable Doubt, wrongfully acquiring revenue on a project that both of them have ownership in.

To shut this down and bring awareness of this alleged swindling to the courts, Dame filed a summons on Tuesday night in New York Supreme Court.

The Hollywood Reporter states that Dame contends that “Carter has transferred streaming rights to Reasonable Doubt without authorization from Roc-A-Fella to S. Carter Enterprises LLC.”

“Dash is claiming unjust enrichment, breach of fiduciary duty,” the publication reads.

For this, Dame wants a cool million in damages.

This is going to get uglier  — real soon.

Dash posted on his Instagram what looks like an article from HipHopDX. The image is of Jay at his billionaire’s brunch — we keep losing our invite— and says, “Judge Rules Damon Dash Can Legally Sell His Roc-A-Fella Records Stake Despite Jay-Z Lawsuit.” He captioned the post with, “@hiphopdx its on… stay tuned.”
