Damon Dash Accuses Jay-Z of Swindling Streams; Says He Transferred ‘Reasonable Doubt’ from Roc-A-Fella to S. Carter Enterprises LLC

Damon Dash and Jay-Z, once partners and the heads of one of Hip-Hop’s most important record labels, are back in court. At the center of their dispute is the iconic Reasonable Doubt album, the premier project that solidified Jigga as the heir to Biggie’s throne and the ownership of Roc-A-Fella Records.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, they have been in conflict for weeks about this particular issue.

According to the Brooklyn rapper, Dame is trying to profit off of an NFT of the album. The Harlem native says that is not true and notes that he is merely trying to sell his third of the label that produced and distributed the album. A judge ruled earlier this year that Dame could not.

Today, their dispute escalated to new heights with Dame accusing the “Can’t Knock the Hustle” billionaire of fraud.  He claims that Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, is stealing streaming rights to Reasonable Doubt, wrongfully acquiring revenue on a project that both of them have ownership in.

To shut this down and bring awareness of this alleged swindling to the courts, Dame filed a summons on Tuesday night in New York Supreme Court.

The Hollywood Reporter states that Dame contends that “Carter has transferred streaming rights to Reasonable Doubt without authorization from Roc-A-Fella to S. Carter Enterprises LLC.”

“Dash is claiming unjust enrichment, breach of fiduciary duty,” the publication reads.

For this, Dame wants a cool million in damages.

This is going to get uglier  — real soon.

Dash posted on his Instagram what looks like an article from HipHopDX. The image is of Jay at his billionaire’s brunch — we keep losing our invite— and says, “Judge Rules Damon Dash Can Legally Sell His Roc-A-Fella Records Stake Despite Jay-Z Lawsuit.” He captioned the post with, “@hiphopdx its on… stay tuned.”

Coach Drops Bape Collaboration With Megan Thee Stallion

You think BAPE been played out since Pharrell stopped rocking it?

Well, that’s because you haven’t seen the brand’s new collaborative line with the designer brand Coach featuring the hot girl herself, Megan thee Stallion.

Coach has stepped into streetwear to create a special collaboration that includes various accessories, leather goods and even sneakers which will have an interesting colorway that blends both logos and limited-edition patterns.

The sneakers will be called The Bapesta that will run buyers about $390. Yahoo! Sports describes the cool as “classic blue denim uppers with contrasting leather paneling, covered in Coach and Bape co-branding. Additional details include a caramel star and a chocolate dinosaur on the lateral sides.”

The Poolside, which are really just fancy house-shoes, are also stylish and priced at $125. By tapping the “Savage” rapper to model the capsule, they are sure to get attention.

She rocked with them earlier this year with a different campaign that also featured J-Lo.

The brand is not just stuck with the Houston rapper. They also connected with rapper Cordae and model Kōki.

According to Coach press release about the campaign there will also have the stars in “conversations with the cast to spotlight the creativity that is found in collaboration and how they express their unique attitude in the collection.”

This new collection launches on July 24 at Coach.com

Crack Dealing Associate Of Casanova Pleading Guilty In RICO Case

Another associate of rapper Casanova is tapping out.

In December of 2020, prosecutors accused 18 members of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation of racketeering.

The gang, which is a subset of the Bloods, is accused of murder, assaults, gun-running, and drug dealing.

Earlier this week, another defendant charged in the case named Jordan Ingram, who is known on the streets as “Flow,” decided to plead guilty.

Flow is accused of representing the gang in his hometown of Peekskill, New York. The Feds say Flow was a large-scale dealer of crack cocaine in Peekskill and neighboring cities.

He is accused of working with Gorilla Stone’s “God Mother” Naya “Baby” Austin, who is also charged in the case, with moving huge amounts of drugs around New York State.

Flow is also accused of carrying out a gunpoint robbery of a rival drug dealer with Austin and Dezon “Blakk” Washington in Peekskill, New York on June 12, 2020.

His criminal activity did not stop there.

According to prosecutors, Flow was also one of the main suppliers of guns for the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation.

A good portion of evidence against Flow was gathered from his Instagram account, as well as his cellphone. Investigators extracted messages from his phone, confirming he traveled to Pennsylvania to procure an arsenal of weapons for the gang.

Flow, who was facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 22 years in prison, has decided to cop a plea.

On August 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., Flow will appear at the White Plains Courthouse, where he will plead guilty in hopes of avoiding a lengthy sentence.

This is the second guilty plea the feds have secured against the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation.

Last week, AllHipHop broke the news that Stephen “Chino” Hugh, another gang member charged in the case will plead guilty as well.

And, as AllHipHop previously reported, prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against Brandon “Stacks” Soto, who allegedly participated in the murder of a 15-year-old.

Casanova, born Caswell Senior, is currently being held without bond in the Westchester County Jail.

Casanova has pleaded not guilty to intentionally manufacturing, distributing, and dispensing crack cocaine, cocaine, and marijuana and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

The Brooklyn rapper faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison should he be convicted.

The Lox and the Dipset are probably one of the best pairings in this song battle series.

Back in the late 90s, the Lox burst on the scene as the first rap group on Bad Boy Records. Out of Yonkers, Styles P, Jadakiss, and Sheek Louch have represented two of the most prestigious crews in rap music: Biggie’s Bad Boy and Ruff Ryders. Fans still flock to the group, because arguably they have some of the best and most influential lyricists in the history of rhyme in their trio.

Likewise, their opponents have influenced the culture. Harlem’s Dipset had the early 2000s on lock and pretty much has not taken their foot off the gas. Consisting of Cam’ron, Jim Jones, Freekey Zekey, and Juelz Santana, the group has defined a whole lifestyle of fly— bring fashion and “get money” into a conversation as only Harlem dudes can.

It seems that the Dipset’s influence may have sparked the interest in this battle.

Back in 2020, on The Joe Budden Podcast, Jim Jones said that he would want his group to battle the guys responsible for hits like “Money, Power & Respect” and “Ride or Die.”

“Dipset and The LOX, a lot of camaraderie, a lot of good energy, a lot of energy to bounce off each other,” Jim stated. “Cam, Jadakiss, and Styles P literally started the same year to get into this game off of freestyles and things like that. We represent the uptown part of New York City. We represent the culture for New York City. We’ve been pillars in this industry for the past 20 some odd years along with the whole Ruff Ryders enterprise. I think would be more suitable.”

The Hip-Hop community went wild!

“The Lox Vs Dipset Verzuz battle I’m ready”

Future Accused Of Stealing One Of The Best Songs On “Beast Mode 2”

Rapper Future and Zaytoven are being accused of shady business dealings, by an upcoming rapper.

The superstar rapper and hit producer have been slapped with a lawsuit from a rapper known as Gutta and his company, Gutta Enterprises.

Gutta says he made a track called “When U Think About It” in January of 2017. That same month, he received a copyright certificate for his new song, which he planned to shop around.

According to Gutta he reached out to Zaytoven, in hopes of having the producer augment his song to make it better.

He also sent a copy to one of the best artists on Future’s Freebandz label, Doe Boy, in hopes of getting the boss to collaborate with him on the song.

Communication between the trio went cold, until July of 2018 when Future released his critically acclaimed album Beast Mode 2.

Gutta was shocked.

He didn’t get the collaboration he wanted with Future because the Atlanta rapper simply stole his song, according to Gutta.

Gutta says Future changed his original recording of “When U Think About It” around to make his song “When I Think About It.”

“The lyrics in the actual songs, specifically including the hook and chorus, are substantially similar,” Gutta’s lawyer Christopher W. Niro explained. “Both choruses contain a theme about having money and have substantially similar structure.”

In June of 2019, Gutta says he contacted Future and Zaytoven about the alleged theft of his song, but neither bothered to respond.

Gutta is asking a judge to halt the sales of Beast Mode 2 until the issue is sorted out.

Gutta also wants an accounting of all of the profits made from Beast Mode 2 and he is seeking the maximum amount of damages over the theft of his song “When U Think About It.”

Kanye Stuck In The Friend Zone With Irina Shayk

Kanye West and Irina Shayk’s relationship is already cooling off, according to sources.

Kanye sparked romance rumors with Bradley Cooper’s model ex last month, when they were seen at a hotel in France for his 44th birthday.

And while Kanye apparently invited Irina to go to Paris for a couture show with him, she is said to have declined.

“She likes him as a friend, but doesn’t want a relationship with him,” a source told the New York Post’s Page Six. “She doesn’t want the association that they are dating, which is what would have run in the press if she showed up (in Paris with him). It would have been another month of news saying that they are dating.

“She doesn’t want to be linked with anyone right now. She is happy being single.”

Kanye has a history with the Russian-born beauty – she appeared in his 2010 music video for Power, and previously modeled for his Yeezy fashion line, while the hip-hop heavyweight also gave her a shout-out in his “Christian Dior Flow” track over a decade ago.

Kanye split from wife Kim Kardashian – the mother of his four children – earlier this year, and the pair are in the midst of obtaining a divorce.

Olympian Simone Biles Somersaulted in Her New Man’s DM for the Digits!

Is the record-setting Olympic gold-winner Simone Biles out here somersaulting into dudes DMs?

Apparently so.

And according to her, that is how she got her current boyfriend, the Houston Texan NFL football player, Jonathan Owens’ attention (who says that he didn’t even know who she was). The two have been head over heels since.

She revealed this cool trivia fact in her interview with Wall Street Journal  recently, dispelling the world’s impression that she is still a little girl.

Biles told her audience, “He would say I slid into his DMs. I saw him and I was like, ‘Oh, he’s pretty cute,’ so I said hi … and then I saw that he was in the Houston area, so we started chatting a little bit, and then we went to hang out a week or two later.”

What a bold move flipped by the world’s most winningest gymnast in history!

The bold move led to the two to realize that they had a lot in common. Biles (24) has a French bulldog named Lilo and Owens (25) has an English bulldog named Zeus.

He is smitten too. He posted on his Instagram profile his pride.

“Got the hottest chick in the game wearin’ my chain 😘❤️ Wishing the happiest 24th birthday to my lady, I’m so excited for what the future holds for us and i can’t wait to celebrate many more with you. I love you baby”

AJDAGURU Receives Plaque For Surpassing One Million Spotify Streams

This week marked a pivotal moment in AJDAGURU’s career. The Texas crooner reached a major milestone following the arrival of a plaque celebrating over one million streams for his smash single, “Seen It All.” Released a few months back, Seen It All has become an anthem for those going through tough times, but somehow manages to come out on top.

Via Instagram, AJ broke the exciting news with a slideshow of photos where he showcased the new plaque. The caption of the post read, “Finally received my first plaque for my single #seenitall this past weekend! Thanks to everyone who supported I think by 2022 I’ll have a wall of these 💿❗️S/O to #jewelboxplatinum for stamping everything and making this official award 🥇 possible.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/CRO74c9Idrw/

Fans immediately swarmed to the comments to show their love and support. Instagram user aisyahrani_16 wrote, “Awww man this speaks volumes congratulations”, while n_aku2 said, “Well deserved bro 🙌🏽 Keep grinding 🐐.”

Behind the scenes, Guru has been working on his debut studio album, A Different Side Of Me – which has yet to arrive. While the project has yet to receive an official release date, the bio of AJ’s Instagram page suggests the project may be on the way for a July release. His bio reads, “Loading……………………………. 7-?-21.” It’s unclear as to what he has up his sleeve, but it’s safe to say there will be an announcement of some sort before the month is over.

AJDAGURU has been pretty quiet for the month of June, leading us to believe he’s been busy working on new material. Hopefully, this is an indication that A Different Side Of Me is on the way, or at least a single off the project is. No matter the case, Seen It All should hold us over until further notice.

RapCaviar Crowns J. Cole 2021 MVP & Pooh Shiesty 2021 Rookie Of The Year

J. Cole and Pooh Shiesty were named the big winners of the 2021 All-RapCaviar Awards. Spotify’s RapCaviar polled its followers to determine which rappers should be rewarded with special honors for the period of December 2020 through June 2021.

RapCaviar’s fans crowned J. Cole as the 2021 MVP. In May, the Dreamville frontman from North Carolina released The Off-Season album which reportedly broke Spotify’s one-day streaming record for 2021 with 62 million streams.

J. Cole also made history this year when four tracks from The Off-Season opened in the Hot 100 chart’s Top 10 at the same time. The 36-year-old emcee/executive joined Drake, Lil Wayne, and Juice WRLD as the only artists to achieve that milestone.

All-RapCaviar’s Rookie Of The Year award went to Pooh Shiesty. The Memphis rapper is responsible for one of the most successful Hip Hop singles of the last eight months. “Back in Blood” featuring Lil Durk has amassed more than 125 million streams on Spotify.

Pooh Shiesty’s Shiesty Season mixtape peaked at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart and earned Gold certification from the RIAA. “Back in Blood” is certified 2x-Platinum. The Shiesty Season track “Neighbors” featuring BIG30 is certified Gold.

In addition, the 21-year-old 1017 Records/Atlantic Records signee was also selected as an XXL Freshman Class member for 2021. However, Pooh Shiesty was arrested for aggravated battery in June. He is being held without bond in the Miami-Dade County jail.

Last week, RapCaviar presented the 2021 All-RapCaviar Teams inspired by the annual All-NBA Teams. J. Cole, Polo G, Lil Durk, Drake, and Lil Baby made the popular Spotify playlist’s First Team. Pooh Shiesty was included on the All-RapCaviar Second Team.

Hip Hop acts Coi Leray, Lil Tjay, Megan Thee Stallion, and Moneybagg Yo were the other All-RapCaviar Second Team selections. Young Thug, Tyler, The Creator, and the three Migos members were picked for the All-RapCaviar Third Team.

RapCaviar also recently chose J. Cole, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and Nicki Minaj to be the faces on the Hip Hop Mount Rushmore for the 2010s decade. Twitter users voted for Minaj to fill the final spot over Future, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne.

Fivio Foreign Announces He’s “Free” From Jail & Hints At Summer Jam Performance

Back in April, Maxie “Fivio Foreign” Ryles III was taken into custody in Fort Lee, New Jersey for weapon possession and resisting arrest. He was also hit with a fugitive from justice charge. However, the “Big Drip” rhymer is now out of the Bergen County Jail.

On Tuesday, Fivio Foreign tweeted, “Free 🔓.” According to jail records, he was freed on July 13. The 31-year-old Brooklyn Drill rapper also hinted that he could show up at Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.

The annual music event returns on Sunday, August 22 after being canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Migos, Meek Mill, MoneyBagg Yo, Saweetie, Rowdy Rebel, Bobby Shmurda, and more acts have already been announced as performers for the 2021 Summer Jam.

Fivio Foreign connected with Hot 97’s DJ Drewski to discuss his release from jail and possible performance at Summer Jam. The Columbia recording artist said, “I need to be on Summer Jam. I need [the] main stage. I need lit. I need turn up. This is what I need to do.”

Over the last two years, Fivio Foreign released the projects Pain and Love and 800 B.C. In addition, he appeared on songs with Drake (“Demons” featuring Sosa Geek), Lil Tjay (“Zoo York” featuring Pop Smoke), and Nas (“Spicy” featuring A$AP Ferg).

Some fans of Snowfall were upset that the Television Academy completely snubbed the crime drama. Damson Idris expressed his reaction to season four of his show not receiving any Emmy nods this year.

“We were not nominated for anything this year. But God bless all the amazing supporters of #SnowfallFX We love and do it for you. See you soon. 👊🏾,” tweeted Damson Idris. That tweet amassed more than 6,000 likes on the social media platform.

50 Cent Embraces Being A Mentor For DaBaby

Jonathan “DaBaby” Kirk has been caught up in several controversies throughout his career. Just this week, the North Carolina native was dragged online for only giving $4 to a group of teens selling candy, but he explained his reasoning for his actions that day.

Enter Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. Apparently, the G-Unit founder is stepping up to offer DaBaby advice on how to maneuver in the music industry, and the Blame It on Baby album creator seems willing to accept that counseling. DaBaby posted a photograph of the two rappers on Instagram.

“Somebody I been studying for a MINUTE [lent] me a few hours of his time today. N##### so scared to let me in the room they f##### around & let me end up in the room w/ @50cent 🤦🏾‍♂️ BIG MISTAKE! Beyond grateful for the game📚
Couldn’t have come from a better source.💯Now watch me put this s### to use👀 #BackToWork,” wrote DaBaby on IG.

50 Cent then hopped in DaBaby’s comment section to share his thoughts about the affiliation. The Power Book III: Raising Kanan executive producer also mentioned how he was unable to provide useful guidance to Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke before he was killed in February 2020.

“I lost Pop before he could get it. This one already got it and he [listens]. I’m a teach him all the mistakes I made, so he can be better than me. THIS IS HIP HOP!” commented 50 Cent on Instagram about DaBaby.

Back in the early 2000s, 50 Cent led the G-Unit crew of Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, and The Game to international stardom. In recent years, the Queens-bred businessman has collaborated with other artists such as Pop Smoke, Roddy Ricch, NLE Choppa, and 6ix9ine.

DaBaby broke into the mainstream in 2019 with “Suge” off the Baby on Baby project. He went on to release the studio LPs Kirk in 2019 and Blame It on Baby in 2020. The 29-year-old southerner is featured on Dua Lipa’s “Levitating” single which is currently the #3 song on the Hot 100 chart.

Victoria’s Secret Releases Statement Distancing them From the Karen, the Cops, & the Chaos of the Short Hills Mall Meltdown

Victoria’s Secret releases a statement after Abigail Elphick went bonkers on a Black woman in one of their New Jersey franchise stores.

The lingerie brand released the response via Twitter leading with the following:

“Associate and Customer safety is our top priority, and we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all.”

It further reads, “The video taken in our store is unsettling and we have initiated a full investigation. Our associates followed our protocols and immediately called our Emergency Operations Center as well as mall security for support during the altercation between our customers.”

“We are dedicated to continuing this critical conversation and demonstrating our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through our actions and our words.”

Over the weekend, Elphick went full-fledged Karen when a Black woman named Ijeoma Ukenta started to videotape in the Victoria’s Secret store. Deliriously, the white woman screamed and screeched, declaring that she was being harassed, however, a 14-minute video suggests differently.

Ukenta, a Nigerian-American, has filed complaints against the law enforcement and mall security. She may possibly be gearing up for legal fight about Elphick and the Millburn PD. She started a GoFundMe to offset her legal fees.

The crowdfunding page is set up to help Ukenta find an attorney. Her goal was $20,000 and by the time of publishing, she had already reached $69,000.

Yung Mal, Protege Of Gucci Mane, Charged In Murder

Yung Mal, an up-and-coming East Atlanta rapper, was arrested on a murder charge yesterday (July 12) and the cops have also snatched up five of his homies.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the six suspects range from 19 to 46 years of age.

Yung Mal, who is closely associated with Gucci Mane, is signed to Alamo Records/Sony Music Entertainment.

He claims that he had nothing to do with this alleged shooting.

Stating that during the night of the gunplay, he and his squad were booked to perform in Mississippi at the Echo Stage Soul Kitchen & Lounge.

The owner of the club did confirm the performance but could not provide a time period to support his alibi.

He did say that the performance started around 12:30 AM.

The shooting happened four hours earlier DeKalb County at a Chevron gas station, on the corner of Candler and Kelly Lake roads.

The man shot was in his 40s and died after being taken to the hospital.

DeKalb County Police spokesperson Michaela Vincent believes that he can fill in the holes of the various stories, which allowed him to identify Yung Mal and his five-member entourage as suspects.

He believes that the rapper and the older man were arguing before the shooting, that took his life, transpired.

The names of all six men arrested are as follows: De’Vonti King (19), Darreun Dodson (20), Jamal Braud (25), Bryan Jones (26), Deavin Baker (31), and Thavian Ford (46) are currently all in custody.

Hip-Hop Goddess Sa-Roc Explains Her Journey, From Rhymesayers To Bars With Black Thought

Washington D.C.-born rhymes goddess Sa-Roc is an anomaly, a proverbial one of one in a vastly overcrowded Hip-Hop scene. Hardly a rookie, she has been expanding her dominion on the culture as one that speaks truth, perspective with a force that has not been seen for quite some time. Hotboii Arrested By Feds Over Deadly Feud With 9lokkNine

Rap star Hotboii was finally arrested after an ongoing investigation allegedly linked him to the Orlando 438 gang.

Records show that Hotboii was locked up on Thursday, July 8, and processed under his legal name, Javarri Latre Walker.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, the gang has been under surveillance by authorities under a discovery campaign called, “Operation X-Force.”

OXF discovered that 438 is in conflict with another rival squad called the Army Gang — a feud so deadly that a number of teenagers have been killed.

There have been four murders connected to this banging beef.

Also on hand was his Def Jam family, the record label that put the growling emcee on the map, and members of the Ruff Ryders team, the organization that he helped establish a degree of dominance in Hip-Hop in the late 90s and early 2000s.
