Gordo & Mustard Exchange Insults Over Drake & Kendrick Lamar

Gordo and Mustard’s simmering tension over their ties to Drake and Kendrick Lamar exploded online this week with insults, unfollows and toilet seat jabs.

Gordo kicked things off last week after noticing Mustard had quietly unfollowed him on Instagram.

“Omg just noticed mustard unfollowed me on ig, he tweeted. “Sad day… headlining chella must of got to his head.”

Mustard fired back on Monday (April 21) with a jab that lit up social media. “Aint going back and forth with a n#### that’s happy to change music on another n##### toilet seats,” he wrote. “Let’s just end it here i’m richer than you and have more hits than you i have multiple houses with my own toilet seats and many of my own chains to wear.”

The back-and-forth didn’t stop there. Gordo, who has been touring globally, took a swipe at Mustard’s role as an opener on Kendrick Lamar’s GNX tour.

He posted a clip from a packed show, writing, “10,000 tickets in Santiago Chile! I hope more ‘DJs’ get to experience this feeling… headlining your own worldwide tour is UNREAL!!!”

Mustard clapped back again, this time with a pointed insult: “the guy wants a attention. keep slaving at those over seas shows brother … don’t forget to buckle dudes pants after you done.”

Then came the chain photo. Mustard uploaded a shot of Gordo wearing jewelry at Drake’s house.

“omg girl i can’t believe it b####,” he teased in the caption. “He really left me in his house with all his chains he trust me. im his fine s###.”

Gordo Clowns Mustard Over Coachella Set

Gordo responded by mocking Mustard’s Coachella set, which leaned heavily on Kendrick Lamar’s music. “Imagine devoting your entire Coachella set to a guy that wouldn’t drive an hour to pop out for you,” he wrote.

During that same Coachella performance on April 18, Mustard doubled down on his allegiance to Kendrick by playing “Not Like Us” twice, prompting the crowd to chant along to lyrics aimed at Drake.

The feud between the two producers traces back to last August when Mustard accused Gordo and Drake of deliberately dropping Diamante to compete with his album Faith of a Mustard Seed. Gordo’s project sold 20,000 units, while Mustard’s moved 18,000.

Mustard also took aim at Drake in an interview with The New York Times, saying, “I don’t think I want to make a song with that dude. He’s a strange guy.” He also labeled the rapper “the Malcolm X of white people” in a separate post on X.

Gordo responded with a mix of praise and shade: “I will not tolerate any dj mustard slander…. That guy is a f###### legend… made multiple classics.. and had one the most iconic runs ever as a producer… he’s just a strange guy.”

The tension between the two producers mirrors the larger rift between their respective collaborators, with Mustard producing Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” and Gordo aligning with Drake.

Kendrick Lamar Explains How Chanel Brand Ambassadorship Deal Came Together

Kendrick Lamar stepped into the world of high fashion and heritage craftsmanship in Paris, officially joining Chanel as the latest face of its eyewear campaign.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper, known for his sharp lyricism and visual storytelling, was tapped by the French fashion house after spending time at its storied atelier, where he immersed himself in the brand’s legacy.

“I visited the Chanel ateliers and saw the process of how something goes from design to execution. Seeing the people who work hard and bring these visions to life resonates with me,” Kendrick Lamar told Business of Fashion.

His appointment comes nearly two years after he represented Chanel at the 2023 Met Gala, which honored the late Karl Lagerfeld.

In January 2024, Lamar and longtime creative partner Dave Free collaborated with the label again, designing the set for its haute couture show and directing a short film titled The Button.

Ahead of his latest partnership, Kendrick Lamar said he “spent a week in Paris with their team and explored the brand history,” a process he repeated before becoming the face of Chanel’s new eyewear line.

The campaign, photographed by Karim Sadli, is set to launch later this week.

Lamar, who sported Chanel glasses in the video for his track Luther, said the choice to focus on eyewear was intentional.

“Chanel has a timeless legacy and that is always something I can get behind. Since they don’t make clothes for men, I knew it would have to be glasses,” he said.

Ferg Faces Backlash After Showing Support To Kanye West

Ferg has shown his support for Kanye West, following the Chicago MC revealing a traumatic experience with a family member from his childhood, but his advocacy appears to be ruffling some feathers.

On Tuesday (April 22), Ferg tweeted a message directly at West after he confessed disturbing claims about giving his male cousin oral sex into his teenage years while promoting his new song “Cousin.”

In addition to giving West a pat on the back for speaking his alleged truth, he appeared to make an attempt to rationalize the bizarre behavior the “CARNIVAL” hitmaker has been exhibiting for months.

“Good for @kanyewest now you can be whole,” Ferg wrote in part. “When people start to act out you never know the root of the issue ! Sending love brother your a goat.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/DIwaJ73PUI_/

Last year, FERG released his album Darold and came to terms with the sexual abuse he faced as a child on the track “Pool” which captures the Harlem native recounting how an elder family friend groped him. While it appears as though West has yet to respond to Ferg’s message, multiple users on Twitter added their two cents in the thread of replies attached to the original tweet. The reactions range from supportive remarks to angry and insensitive insults.

One user wrote, “He’s not gonna suck you bro,” seemingly trolling Ferg’s message by referencing the snippet West released. Piggybacking on the previous tweet, an additional user wrote, “N#### congratulated Kanye for admitting to gargle on d####. What is life.”

Another user countered, adding, “Don’t listen to these people ferg you did something powerful…Compassion.”

Another individual directly called out Ferg’s theory that about why West began to “act out” by completely rejecting the idea that he has mental health issues.

“Act out?” the user questioned rhetorically. “Why everyone play him like he’s crazy? Y’all in the industry watch all the f### s### going on and don’t say anything or call anybody out.”

https://twitter.com/Giftaveli/status/1914459669113807208

Ferg wasn’t the only New York rapper to react to West’s controversial snippet featuring the mission. After trolling Joe Budden during the New York Knicks playoff game on April 21, 50 Cent seemingly slighted West in a caption of an Instagram post he shared.

“F### today man the Knicks lost, the pope died, and Kanye told us he sucked his cousin’s d!ck for 8 years,” 50 Cent wrote. “I’m going to bed early tomorrow gotta be a better day. @bransoncognac.”

EXCLUSIVE: Big U Says “Orange Man” President Trump Could Get RICO Charges Dropped

Eugene “Big U” Henley apparently believes his ties to President Donald Trump could be the key to walking free as he sits in jail awaiting trial on sweeping RICO charges in Los Angeles.

In March, the feds hit Big U with a RICO case as the alleged leader of the “Big U Enterprise” and he has pleaded not guilty to a wide-ranging federal indictment accusing him of running a violent criminal organization tied to the Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips.

Prosecutors say the group operated like the mafia, using threats, extortion and murder to maintain control. Federal authorities are pushing to keep Big U behind bars, arguing he poses a serious threat to the public and witnesses.

Big U, however, supposedly claims he has influence in high places—specifically, with President Donald Trump.

According to federal prosecutors, the alleged gang boss has “suggested that he can manipulate the President of the United States into intervening in the case and dropping the charges, even as he simultaneously derisively refers to the President as ‘the orange man’ while in custody” said U.S. Attorney Bilal A. Essayli.

The indictment paints Big U as the mastermind of a sprawling criminal operation that used his street credibility and Hip-Hop connections to extort celebrities, athletes and businesses.

Prosecutors allege he murdered aspiring rapper Rayshawn Williams in 2021 over a diss track and lack of studio output. They also accuse him of sending armed men to rob a dispensary after the owner refused to pay protection money.

Big U is also charged with wire fraud, bank fraud, and embezzlement.

Authorities say he misused public funds from his anti-gang nonprofit, Developing Options and lied on COVID-19 relief loan applications for his music label Uneek Music The indictment includes 15 counts of wire fraud, five counts of embezzlement, and additional charges tied to interstate prostitution and Hobbs Act robbery.

Prosecutors say Henley has already tampered with evidence, threatened witnesses and tried to spin a false narrative about his role in the alleged crimes.

“Even in his short time in custody, he is up to his old tricks, once again trying to use some of those same celebrities for his personal gain,” Essayli said. “With everything to lose, including the immense goodwill he fraudulently procured from the community and his city, [Big U] still told anyone who dared to ask that he was a killer. And he proved that he was.”

Big U, who surrendered in March 2025 after initially being a fugitive, faces life in prison if convicted.

Prosecutors have labeled Big U a danger to the community he once served and fear he will flee if the case does not “go his way.” They want him permanently detained before trial.

His co-defendants, Sylvester “Vey” Robinson and Mark “Bear Claw” Martin, face up to 20 years. A judge has not yet ruled whether Big U will remain in custody before trial.

Lil Uzi Vert Hospitalized In NYC Following Months Of Fan Concern Over Alleged Drug Use

Lil Uzi Vert has reportedly suffered a medical emergency which led to his overnight hospitalization in New York City.

According to TMZ, the “Money Longer” rapper was rushed to a hospital in Lower Manhattan on Monday (April 21), after paramedics responded to an emergency call for a “sick person.” Eyewitnesses say the rapper was seen being wheeled out of a luxury condominium building on a gurney around 2:30 PM ET. Security used large black umbrellas to shield him from view as he was loaded into the ambulance. Uzi’s girlfriend, former City Girls rapper JT, was reportedly by his side during the incident.

Sources say the rapper was conscious when paramedics arrived and was immediately transported to the emergency room. As of April 22, he was still hospitalized, though no official update on his condition has been released.

The sudden hospitalization has sparked renewed concern among fans, many of whom have pointed to Uzi’s public posts and lyrics referencing nitrous oxide use in the months leading up to the incident. The rapper previously appeared to address the criticism in a series of social media posts, sharing a selfie with the caption “Nomore bad stuff” alongside a salute and balloon emoji—which could be a reference to how nitrous oxide is administered via ballons filled with the gas. In follow-ups, Uzi wrote “Trust the process” and “Who fried?”

Uzi also alluded to his nitrous use on Eternal Atake 2, in bars he rapped on the intro track “We Good.”

In the bars in question, Uzi raps, “They said I was lost/They thought I was a dead guy/I was on that NOS.”

On the next track, “Light Year (Practice),” he continued, adding, “I’m fresh off the nitrous/Ain’t mess up ability.”

Additionally, last year in August, a video circulation on social media of Uzi in the studio allegedly using nitrous oxide sparked widespread fan concern as he faced backlash from his listeners who were concerned about his health.

Shannon Sharpe Taunts Accuser With Dare To Release Video, But It May Not Go As Planned

Shannon Sharpe dared his accuser’s legal team to release a full sex tape as he battles a $50 million lawsuit that could derail his broadcasting career and public image.

In a bold Instagram video posted on Tuesday (April 22), the former NFL star and current ESPN personality dismissed the lawsuit as a “shakedown” and accused attorney Tony Buzbee of “targeting Black men.”

Shannon Sharpe also challenged Buzbee to release what he claims is a 10-minute video that would clear his name, saying the accuser’s team is only sharing “a 30-second edited clip.”

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Shannon Sharpe (@shannonsharpe84)

That audio clip, released by Buzbee, features Sharpe allegedly threatening to “f###### choke the s### out of you” during a phone call with the woman identified in court documents as Jane Doe.

In the recording, she responds, “I don’t want to be choked,” to which Sharpe replies, “Yes, you do. I don’t think you have a choice in the matter.”

Buzbee, representing Doe, says the audio is not sexual or consensual, calling it “disturbing, aggressive, and dangerous.”

“Although we will save the video discussed by Sharpe’s lawyers for the courtroom, I would suggest that Mr. Sharpe’s new lawyer take a moment to listen to his client at a different time on audio and ask his client for the real story—the truth,” Tony Buzbee said.

The lawsuit, filed earlier this month, accuses Sharpe of sexual assault, battery and emotional abuse during what she describes as a “rocky consensual relationship” from 2023 to early 2025.

Sharpe’s attorney, Lanny Davis, insists the relationship was consensual and claims the audio reflects a “consensual sexual dynamic.” Davis released explicit text messages from 2023 in which the accuser allegedly asked Sharpe to “put a dog collar around my neck and choke me.”

Davis also revealed that Shannon Sharpe offered a settlement of “at least $10 million” before the lawsuit was filed. The accuser rejected the offer.

“Prior to engaging in the mediation process, Mr. Sharpe’s counsel insisted on Jane Doe signing a confidentiality agreement. Mr. Sharpe’s attorney has now breached that agreement, while at the same time deliberately revealing Jane Doe’s name, phone number, and private messages that again predate the alleged rape,” Tony Buzbee said. “That was a grievous error on Sharpe’s part, because now all the things discussed and revealed in that mediative process will at some point be revealed.”

So far, Sharpe has not stepped away from his media duties. He appeared on ESPN’s “First Take” the same day the lawsuit and audio surfaced.

In his video response, he denied all allegations and said the encounter in question happened “during the day, at her invitation.”

The lawsuit claims Sharpe raped the woman twice—once in October 2024 and again in January 2025—and includes allegations of death threats, non-consensual recordings and coercive control.

Buzbee says the abuse escalated over time and led the woman to flee Nevada and cut off contact with Sharpe.

Buzbee also accused Sharpe’s legal team of violating a confidentiality agreement by releasing private messages and revealing Doe’s identity. He warned that this breach would allow previously undisclosed information from mediation to become public.

“This is not the first time Mr. Sharpe has faced allegations of mistreating a woman,” Buzbee said, referencing a prior lawsuit in New York. “Instead of owning up to his actions, Sharpe has chosen to mislead his lawyers and the public, and double down — this time by doxing Jane Doe and attempting to humiliate into silence this woman who is 30 years his junior.”

Sharpe has not responded to Buzbee’s latest statement. The case is expected to move forward in court later this year.

Shannon Sharpe Reveals Lewd Video Could Follow Leaked Call With Accuser

Former NFL star and media personality Shannon Sharpe is facing serious allegations after a leaked phone call surfaced, allegedly capturing him making emotionally aggressive remarks toward a woman accusing him of sexual assault

On Tuesday (April 22), TMZ published audio of a the call that allegedly features a tense exchange between Sharpe and the previously unidentified woman, who is suing him in a $50 million rape and sexual assault lawsuit in Nevada. During the call, Sharpe appears to struggle with controlling his emotions and allegedly made violent threats to the woman.

Sharpe is heard saying during the recording, “You want to be a dick to me now,” to which his accuser responded, “I don’t want to be, don’t manipulate me.”

The call escalates as Sharpe resoponds, “Lord have mercy, if you say that word one more time I am going to choke the sh*t out of you when I see you.”

Further more, when the woman appears to plead with Sharpe, saying she doesn’t want to be choked, he responded, “I don’t think you have a choice in the matter.”

In response to the controversy, Sharpe posted a video to his Instagram account with a lengthy statement addressing the allegations and revealing the identity of the woman involved. He claimed she goes by Gabby on social media and also uses the alias Carly on OnlyFans. Sharpe insisted that the encounter in question was consensual and occurred during the day at her invitation.

“To my family friends supporters and colleagues I want to speak to you directly and from the heart,” he said in the video. “This is a shakedown. I’m gonna be open transparent and defend myself because this isn’t right.”

He pointed to high-profile attorney Tony Buzbee as orchestrating what he described as a targeted attack against him.

“This is all being orchestrated by Tony Buzbee who has targeted JAY-Z,” he said. “Tony Buzbee targets Black men and I believe he’s going to release a 30-second clip of a sex tape that tries to make me look guilty and played into every stereotype you could possibly imagine.”

Prior to releasing the video statement, Sharpe released a series of graphic text messages to defend himself against the allegations the woman accused him of perpetrating.

Among the texts Sharpe released, which the woman allegedly sent him, she referred to being choked with a collar, writing, “I want you to put a dog collar around my neck and choke me with it while you’re f###### me.”

Kanye West Supports Change.org Petition Demanding Access To Kids With Kim Karadashian

Kanye West threw his support behind a Change.org petition demanding access to his four children as tensions with ex-wife Kim Kardashian over custody continue to escalate.

The Hip-Hop mogul, who now goes by Ye, has repeatedly claimed that Kardashian is keeping their children—North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5.

Chicago and Psalm were born via surrogate after Kardashian experienced complications during earlier pregnancies. He said he hadn’t seen Saint in over a year.

The petition, launched by supporters of the rapper, calls for what it describes as “immediate change.”

“Ye (fka Kanye West) has been restricted from being able to see and raise his children,” the petition states. “As the father of his children, he has an inherent right to see and be apart of his children’s upbringing.”

West, 47, has made a series of controversial public remarks in recent weeks, including a tweet on April 22 in which he claimed a Jewish attorney once told him he wouldn’t be allowed to see his children if he continued making antisemitic comments. “He was right for now,” West wrote. “God is on my side.”

The Grammy winner has also drawn criticism for his latest song, “Cousins,” released just yesterday, where he rapped about performing oral sex on his cousin until he was 14—an admission that sparked widespread backlash and raised further concerns about his mental state.

Kardashian, 44, who has primary custody of the children following their 2022 divorce, has reportedly limited West’s access due to what sources close to her describe as erratic behavior and troubling social media posts.

The former couple’s co-parenting struggles have played out publicly, with West frequently airing grievances online.

“When a father isn’t present in a home they’re limited on their ability to protect their children,” the petition continues. “He as a father, by default, has the right to say what goes and what doesn’t in his children’s life. Being able to say what goes and what doesn’t is protection.”

West has also taken issue with how his children are being raised, particularly criticizing North’s appearance at Coachella, wearing makeup and perfume. He’s said his concerns are often dismissed, something the petition echoes.

While Change.org petitions can raise awareness and attract media attention, they carry no legal weight in custody disputes.

Family court decisions are based on legal filings, court evaluations and the children’s best interests—not public opinion.

Why Risk Is a Popular Theme in Hip-Hop Culture

Hip-hop fans and artists will tell you it’s a mindset more than a genre. And from its genesis in the Bronx to its global takeover, hip-hop was always about taking chances. Whether hustling on the streets, launching a business with only dreams as capital, or challenging authority through lyrics, risk is the lifeblood of hip-hop culture.

Risk and Survival as a Business Model

Hip-hop was born in the 1970s in the South Bronx, a place with few opportunities for young black and Latino people. Survival in harsh circumstances demanded creativity. Without access to traditional paths in the music industry, New York artists turned to mics, turntables, and spray cans for visual representation. They built a “scene” that was completely unique at the time. That DIY spirit wasn’t just about art; it was about betting on yourself and understanding your audience.

The ethos of catering to one’s own community still runs deep. Artists like Nipsey Hussle have invested in the places where he grew up, and Jay-Z famously said, “I’m not a businessman, I’m a business, man.” Hip-hop artists have long embraced entrepreneurship as a form of resistance and empowerment—one that naturally resonates with an audience from the same place.

Regional Variations on a Shared Hustle

Hip-hop’s relationship with risk isn’t one-size-fits-all. Different regions have shaped the sound—and the stakes—in their own ways.

New York gave us the rough realism of Nas and Biggie, whose lyrics painted harsh pictures of street life and survival.

Atlanta birthed trap music, a genre rooted in the high-stakes world of street economics. Artists like T.I. and Gucci Mane became globally recognized artists through candid, hustler stories that glorify the wealth and pitfalls of crime.

Houston introduced the hypnotic chopped-and-screwed sound, pioneered by DJ Screw. Acts like Geto Boys used music to reflect the emotional and psychological weight of street life in the South, offering introspective takes on trauma, identity, and survival.

Virginia Beach brought tales of ambition and complexities of street hustling to light through acts like Clipse. It also launched more mainstream hip-hop acts like Missy Elliott and Pharrell. The mix of talent from Virginia challenged perceptions of the region’s cultural identity.

Despite their differences, these regions share a culture that respects the hustle and risk that can skyrocket anyone to fame and fortune, no matter where they came up.

Hustle Mentality Beyond the Music

Risk-taking in hip-hop isn’t confined to lyrics or beats. The mindset permeates lifestyles, fashion, and how fans seek entertainment.

Consider the world of online gaming and social media, for instance. The same love of risk is evident in what draws people outside the music. Whether choosing a fast withdrawal casino where the payoff matches hustle mentality, streaming high-stakes games on Twitch, or curating bold personal brands online that fuel conflict and rivalries, hip-hop’s risk culture overlaps digital lives.

This crossover isn’t accidental. Hip-hop’s influence on gaming culture is profound, with many artists investing in esports teams or collaborating with game developers. The synergy between the two worlds underscores a shared appreciation for strategy, competition, and, of course, high stakes.

Numbers Don’t Lie: The Business of Risk

Hip-hop’s relationship with risk was never just about lyrical flexes—it’s deeply tied to real-world business moves that have redefined the American entrepreneurial landscape. From the streets to the boardroom, hip-hop artists have increasingly proven that calculated risk backed by grit can lead to generational wealth and cultural power.

At a glance, the hip-hop industry is now a multibillion-dollar machine. In 2023 alone, hip-hop helped drive the U.S. music industry to record revenues of $17.1 billion, with a significant share due to rap streaming, branding, touring, and business ventures (RIAA, 2023). But that number doesn’t fully capture the wider economic ripple effect of hip-hop’s hustle mindset.

Many of today’s most influential rappers didn’t stop at music—they built empires. Take Jay-Z, who went from selling CDs out of a car to becoming hip-hop’s first billionaire through investments in liquor, art, real estate, and tech. His story isn’t unique anymore. Rihanna (via Fenty Beauty), Dr. Dre (via Beats by Dre), and Tyler, the Creator (via fashion and media ventures) have all leveraged their cultural clout to build brands that extend far beyond the studio.

Risk is baked into each of these moves. These artists didn’t wait for corporate backing or traditional validation—they invested their own money, went against the grain, and often faced early skepticism. But in doing so, they gained full control over their narratives and profits. Ownership became the new currency of hip-hop.

Smaller-scale entrepreneurs in the hip-hop world follow the same playbook. Today, independent artists rely on social media, NFTs, crowdfunding platforms, and direct-to-fan marketing—each route with its own risks and rewards. Unlike the perceived safety net of major labels, self-promotion means watching your own back and adapting to a constantly shifting market. It’s high-risk, but for some, it means long-term gain.

This same spirit has inspired a wave of fans to approach their own lives with boldness. Whether launching a brand, reselling sneakers, or flipping vintage tees, young entrepreneurs often credit the hip-hop mindset as their blueprint. What used to be dismissed as hood culture is now a blueprint for innovation, economic freedom, and cultural influence.

This evolution reflects what risk in hip-hop has always been about: not recklessness, but vision. It’s knowing your value and putting everything on the line to prove it.

Risk as a Cultural Cornerstone

At its core, hip-hop is about betting on yourself. It’s about turning obstacles into opportunities and embracing challenges with confidence. This theme has influenced nearly every aspect of modern culture in America.

In a world that often favors the safe and the predictable, hip-hop stands as a testament to the rewards on the flipside of risk.

So, whether you’re launching a startup, crafting your personal brand, or just dropping a mixtape, in hip-hop, the hustle and risk are worth it.

Money, Fame and Casinos: How Hip-Hop Stars Use Gambling for Fun and Profit

Hip-hop and casinos may seem like two different worlds, but they share a common theme — high stakes, luxury, and the thrill of the game. Over the past few decades, gambling has become a recurring motif in hip-hop culture, reflecting both risk-taking attitudes and the lavish lifestyles that many artists embody.

From lyrical references to real-life casino appearances and business ventures, the influence is everywhere. With the growing influence of hip-hop culture in digital entertainment, it’s no surprise that apps like Pin Stars app have captured the attention of fans seeking download to experience the same high-energy excitement often depicted in their favorite artists’ work. But how deep does this connection go? Let’s explore how hip-hop and gambling overlap — from songs that shout out blackjack tables to rap moguls launching casino-themed merch or even investing in gambling-related businesses.

The Rich Relationship Between Hip-Hop and Gambling

The connection between hip-hop culture and casinos like Pin Stars Casino online is rooted in shared aesthetics — opulence, bold moves, and the lure of fast success. Gambling has long been used as a metaphor in rap lyrics, but for many artists, it’s more than a metaphor — it’s a lifestyle.

Rappers Who Embrace Casino Culture

Many hip-hop icons have made no secret of their love for gambling. Some of the most well-known examples include:

  • Jay-Z: Known for his luxury lifestyle, Jay-Z has referenced poker and casino imagery in tracks like «Can I Live» and «Dead Presidents II».
  • Drake: Aside from his lyrical nods to casinos, Drake is known for his public high-stakes roulette sessions, often streamed to millions of fans.
  • 50 Cent: Once admitted to gambling frequently during his rise to fame, even comparing the music industry to a poker table.
  • Birdman: Famously bet $1 million on the Super Bowl and has spoken about enjoying casino life.
  • Quavo (Migos): Often seen playing high-stakes dice games and attending exclusive casino events.

These artists aren’t just passive participants — their gambling habits become part of their brand identity.

Casinos in Hip-Hop Lyrics

Casinos like Pin Stars app and gambling-related terms frequently appear in rap songs, often as metaphors for ambition, risk, and reward. Some examples include:

  • «Life’s a gamble» — a recurring phrase in tracks by Nas, T.I., and Rick Ross.
  • References to «Vegas nights», «dealer’s table», and «rolling dice» often symbolize taking chances in life and business.
  • Card games like poker and blackjack serve as metaphors for strategy and street smarts.

This language adds a layer of depth to hip-hop storytelling — where every move could lead to riches or ruin.

Business Moves and Brand Collaborations

Gambling culture isn’t just limited to lyrics and lifestyle — it’s becoming a serious business opportunity for hip-hop stars. Collaborations range from casino-themed fashion drops to online promotions.

Here’s a quick overview of how artists are engaging in this trend:

ArtistGambling Tie-InType of Involvement
DrakeSponsored gambling streamsBrand promotion
OffsetDice game tournamentsLive events / social media
Travis ScottCasino-inspired streetwear lineMerch collaboration
Snoop DoggPartnered with betting platformsBrand ambassador

These examples show how the line between entertainment and entrepreneurship continues to blur.

From Rap to Reality: How Fans Engage Through Online Casinos

With the rise of mobile platforms, fans can now experience a taste of this flashy world firsthand. Apps such as the Pin Stars app give users access to a digital casino environment where the glamor of hip-hop culture meets modern gaming design. It’s not just about playing games — it’s about stepping into the high-rolling vibe that many artists project.

Whether you`re going to start with Pin-Stars Casino download on Android or accessing Pin-Stars Casino for iOS, the experience brings fans closer to the culture they admire. These platforms often carry design themes, soundtracks, and user interfaces that reflect urban nightlife aesthetics, adding to the immersion.

Platforms like Pin Stars Casino online aren’t just about fun — they also capture the lifestyle, allowing fans to explore the same themes of bold choices and risk-taking that define much of modern rap.

In a culture where wealth, image, and risk are key symbols of success, the overlap between hip-hop and casino culture feels natural. As fans continue to seek ways to connect with this world, platforms like Pin Stars app provide a gateway not just to games but to a whole vibe — one where every spin, shuffle, and roll feels like a bar straight out of your favorite track.

Snoop Dogg Alleges “Harassment” In $107M Death Row Court Battle

Snoop Dogg and Death Row Records are pushing back hard in a Texas courtroom, asking a judge to throw out Lydia Harris’ $107 million lawsuit over the label’s ownership, calling her claims “undeniably time-barred” and accusing her of dragging out a decades-old legal battle.

In a motion to dismiss filed by their legal team, attorneys argue Harris’ case is long past the statute of limitations, according to Digital Music News.

“Plaintiff’s claims are barred by the applicable statutes of limitations,” the filing states, citing the original 2005 judgment Harris is now trying to revive.

The motion also seeks to prevent Harris from bringing any future lawsuits against the label or its current owner.

Attorneys for Snoop and Death Row wrote that Harris is “a bad faith litigant” who “continued a pattern of harassment in California for years and has now shifted her harassment to a new forum in Texas.”

Harris, who was once married to Death Row co-founder Michael “Harry-O” Harris, claims she helped launch the iconic Hip-Hop label in 1989 with a $1.5 million investment and served as its original vice president.

She argues she is owed millions in profits from a 2005 default judgment she won after Suge Knight’s legal team failed to comply with discovery rules in Los Angeles Superior Court.

In her latest lawsuit, Harris accuses Snoop Dogg, Suge Knight, Universal Music Group, Interscope Records and Time Warner of “fraud on the court, civil conspiracy, obstruction of justice, and abuse of legal process.”

She alleges they concealed financial records, submitted misleading court filings and used bankruptcy as a tactic to dodge the judgment.

Snoop Dogg was named in the suit after acquiring Death Row Records in February 2022, a move Harris claims reignited her pursuit of the money she believes she’s owed.

Snoop Dogg On Acquiring Death Row Records

Harris is demanding “punitive damages, asset recovery, and a full accounting of Death Row’s finances.”

This legal clash is the latest chapter in a saga that began in 2002 when Harris first filed suit against Knight and Death Row.

According to her filings, the $107 million judgment she secured in 2005 has remained unpaid.

The court has not yet ruled on the motion to dismiss.

50 Cent Reveals What Joe Budden Told Him During Surprise MSG Run-In

50 Cent is addressing his recent feud with Joe Budden after a surprise courtside encounter at Madison Square Garden.

The G-Unit founder shared a front-row moment with former rival Joe Budden and longtime frenemy Fat Joe during the Knicks vs. Pistons game at Madison Square Garden Monday night (April 21), signaling a truce in one of Hip-Hop’s more bizarre beefs.

50 Cent was seen turning around in his seat to speak to Budden, who sat just behind him with his girlfriend. Fat Joe, once embroiled in his own feud with 50, was seated directly next to him.

The trio’s unexpected proximity didn’t go unnoticed by social media, with users pointing out the irony of the moment given their turbulent pasts.

After the game, 50 Cent confirmed the cold war with Budden had officially thawed.

“I ran into Joe at the game,” he wrote on social media. “He said I don’t need Therapy No MORE!”

The reconciliation comes after a messy back-and-forth earlier this year after 50 Cent mocked Irv Gotti’s death.

Budden responded by calling out 50’s behavior, saying, “50 Cent needs therapy. I don’t care if you agree with the rationale. And 50 is 50. He gon’ stand in it. He gon’ stand strong in it.”

However, that comment didn’t sit well with 50. He retaliated by trolling Budden over a December 2024 incident in which Budden was charged—though later cleared—for allegedly being naked in his apartment hallway.

50 Cent posted AI-generated images of Budden in underwear and even superimposed Budden’s face onto D’Angelo’s body in a parody video.

Joe Budden then threatened legal action, prompting 50 Cent to call for a face-to-face meeting. Monday’s game appears to have delivered that long-awaited sit-down.

Is New Gnarls Barkley Music Imminent? — CeeLo Says “Soon”

CeeLo Green is stirring the pot again, teasing fans with what appears to be album art for the next Gnarls Barkley album. On Sunday (April 20), the Dungeon Family member uploaded an abstract image of himself alongside Danger Mouse with the caption, “#run Gnarls Barkley album is coming #soon.”

Gnarls Barkley—the duo of CeeLo Green and producer Danger Mouse—haven’t released an album since 2008’s The Odd Couple. The project served as the follow-up to their breakthrough blockbuster, St. Elsewhere, which arrived in 2006 with the hit single “Crazy.”

The track peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100 and topped the U.K. Singles Chart. It was nominated at the 2007 Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and was platinum certified for moving more than one million records. St. Elsewhere also received a nomination for Album of the Year.

Green spoke to AllHipHop in February 2024 about the long awaited Gnarls Barkley album. At the time, the Goodie Mob co-founder said it was nearly complete.

“Let the people know that the new Gnarls Barkley is on the way,” Green said. “We are much much closer [to getting it done] than we were [last year]. We are a quantum leap closer. Let ’em know.”

With Green based in Fayette County, Georgia and Danger Mouse in New York City, they’ve been getting creative when it comes to recording. Green said they either went to each other’s respective studios or traded music over the internet.

“It was a combination of the two,” he revealed. “When schedules permit, we get together. We’ve gone out to Joshua Tree, just me and him, and talked. Sometimes it’s just about connecting on a personal level and then we can work on music from that point on. But we have about 20 songs finished at this point.”

Green has expanded his career into television over the years. He served as a coach on The Voice for multiple seasons, did voiceover work for American Dad and appeared alongside Madonna for the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2012. Other television endeavors include The Masked Singer, The Soul Man, How to Rock and Anger Management. He also provided the voice of Shuggie in the Disney+ series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.

Kanye West Pleads With Celeb Pals Over Kim Kardashian Custody Battle

Kanye West has unleashed a string of emotional social media posts accusing Kim Kardashian of keeping their children from him and calling on high-profile allies like Donald Trump, Elon Musk, JAY-Z, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky and Rihanna to step in.

In a series of raw tweets posted early Tuesday morning (April 22), the rapper and fashion mogul expressed frustration over his limited access to his kids and blasted his celebrity peers for remaining silent.

“Why is the celebrity world. Jay Z Beyoncé Kendrick Rihana Rocky included Trump Elon Why are you all watching and letting Kim take my kids from me in real time,” West wrote. “Yall wanna say I’m acting out cause of things in my childhood But I don’t get to be a dad.”

West, 46, claimed he hasn’t seen his son Saint this year. “I HAVENT SEEN SAINT THIS YEAR,” he posted in all caps.

The Grammy winner also shared his disapproval of his daughter North’s recent appearance at Coachella.

“As a Dad I didn’t love this 11 year old with make up,” he wrote alongside a photo of North.

Throughout the posts, West repeatedly emphasized his desire to be more than a visitor in his children’s lives.

“I don’t need to just ‘SEE’ my kids,” he wrote. “I need to raise them.”

Kanye West Claims His Children Had Access To Inappropriate Material At Kylie Jenner’s House

In another message, he reflected on a moment at Kylie Jenner’s house the day Kobe Bryant died, claiming inappropriate material was accessible to children. “Next to the couch in the front living room were vintage Playboy magazine strategically placed with in arms reach of every child in that house which was every half black baby,” West tweeted. “Yall know what that is Why that is And who is behind that.”

He also accused Kardashian of manipulating their children’s upbringing. “It cuts me to my core that my kids are being indoctrinated to serve ideals to black people,” he stated. “I HAVE TO SUPPRESS THE FACT THAT MY KIDS HAVE BEEN TAKEN FROM ME AND EVERYONE JUST WATCHES.”

West ended his online outburst by demanding a solution. “I need a plan to exercise my rights with my kids I figured out a lot of things but I haven’t figured this out,” he said.

West had posted a photo of himself with Bianca Censori earlier that day, hinting at a possible reconciliation. The two were reportedly seen dining together in Mallorca on Friday night.

West’s custody grievances come on the heels of other controversial statements, including a disturbing revelation about childhood sexual experiences with a male cousin.

Meanwhile, Kanye West recently expressed his regret about having kids with Kardashian. He previously accused her and her family of “trafficking” their kids and described Kardashian as a “white woman” controlling “my Black children.”

Snoop Dogg Shares His Dream To Team Up With Gordon Ramsay In The Kitchen

Snoop Dogg wants to bring his culinary swagger to the restaurant world with Gordon Ramsay and says he’s already pitched the idea—possibly in Glasgow.

“I have told him I want to open a restaurant with him, and maybe it might even be in Glasgow,” Snoop told the Daily Record. “For real. We are always swapping cooking tips, and I do mean swapping. It’s not just one-way traffic, I send him tips as well – he respects Snoop as a chef.”

The Hip-Hop icon and self-proclaimed foodie isn’t just tossing out ideas—he’s serious about his kitchen game.

“My boy Gordon has got a worse mouth than me, but that’s only because of his passion,” he said. “You don’t become the best chef in the world without having the passion he does.”

It’s not the first time Snoop Dogg has expressed interest in working with Gordon Ramsey. He previously revealed they discussed opening an eatery, but their plans were scuppered by the pandemic.

Snoop’s ambitions in the food world don’t stop at opening a restaurant. He also has his eye on a judging seat on the British version of MasterChef.

“You better believe Snoop could be the new MasterChef judge,” he said last December. “My boy Gordon [Ramsay] judges on the U.S. version of the show, and I know he would back me to be able to judge on the U.K. version. He knows I’m not playing when it comes to food. He knows I can cook—I have even given him some tips.”

Gordon Ramsey Shares Cooking Tip From Snoop Dogg

“I’ve always been vocal about wanting to work on a U.K. show. I love the place—and for real, this could be the perfect opportunity,” he added.

Snoop’s culinary resume is already stacked. His 2018 cookbook From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen became a bestseller, and he co-hosted Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party with Martha Stewart.

He’s also ventured into food tech with his son Cordell Broadus through Food Fighters Universe, launching Dr. Bombay’s Sweet Exploration in Los Angeles—a dessert experience themed around his Bored Ape NFT character. In 2022, he introduced Snazzle Os, a line of THC-infused onion snacks, in partnership with TSUMo Snacks.

Then, in 2023, he teamed up with Master P to launch Broadus Foods, which rolled out Snoop Cereal nationwide through Post Consumer Brands, offering flavors like Fruity Hoopz with Marshmallows and Cinnamon Toasteez.

The rapper’s food empire continues to grow, but a joint venture with Ramsay could mark his biggest culinary move yet.

Suge Knight Refuses To Let Lawyer Quit As Retrial Gets Underway

Suge Knight is facing a second wrongful death trial over the 2015 hit-and-run death of Compton businessman Terry Carter. Despite ongoing tensions with his lawyer, David Kenner, Knight is refusing to let him withdraw from the case.

Kenner, who has requested to be relieved of his duties due to communication breakdowns and conflicts of interest, argued that Knight hadn’t paid him for the previous trial and had failed to subpoena witnesses or retain an investigator. Knight, currently serving a 28-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter related to Carter’s death, expressed frustration about his lawyer not taking his calls. The judge rejected Kenner’s motion to withdraw, and jury selection for the civil retrial moved ahead.

“Your motion to withdraw has been denied, and I stand by that ruling,” Judge Thomas Long said Monday (April 21). “It seems to me there’s no reason you can’t do the best you can to cross-examine and examine witnesses and present Mr. Knight’s defense as well as possible. Of course, Mr. Knight is always free to remove you as counsel anytime he chooses. That’s up to him.”

Knight admitted to being at odds with Kenner but insisted on keeping him as his lawyer.

“But I don’t talk to my counsel,” he said. “I’m trying to communicate on the phone, and no one takes my phone calls. I’m not trying to be disrespectful, I just want to have a fair trial, and I need to communicate. Over the weekend, I would call, and nobody ever takes my calls. If the court could let Mr. Kenner know I called to talk, and we need to communicate.”

Jury selection is scheduled to begin on Tuesday (April 22). At Monday’s hearing, Judge Long also said opening statements and testimony aree expected to begin early next week.

The civil case stems from Carter’s death, which occurred after an altercation involving Knight and another man, Cle “Bone” Sloan, in the parking lot of Tam’s Burgers in January 2015. Surveillance footage showed Knight’s truck running over Carter, who was standing on the sidewalk. Knight claims he acted out of fear for his life after Sloan threatened him with a gun, a claim Sloan denies.

The first trial ended in a hung jury in 2022, and Knight is prepared to testify again in his defense. He continues to contest his prior manslaughter conviction, which he claims was coerced by his previous public defender. Knight is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence.

Michael B. Jordan’s “Sinners” Gets Box Office Win & Support From Ben Stiller

Michael B. Jordan dominated the weekend box office as his blood-soaked period thriller Sinners clawed its way to a $61 million global debut.

The hit movie outpaced A Minecraft Movie and marked the strongest opening for an original film since 2019’s Us.

The R-rated horror flick, set in the 1930s Deep South, features Jordan in a dual role as twin brothers Smoke and Stack, who open a juke joint only to find their town overrun by vampires.

The film’s mix of Southern gothic and supernatural terror struck a chord with audiences and critics alike, earning a rare A grade from CinemaScore — a feat no horror film has achieved in over three decades, Warner Bros. confirmed.

Despite heavy competition from A Minecraft Movie, which had been expected to lead for a third straight weekend, Sinners surged ahead to claim the top spot.

Not everyone was impressed.

Actor Ben Stiller ripped Variety for panning the impressive box office numbers after the rag wrote: “‘Sinners’ has amassed $61 million in its global debut. It’s a great result for an original, R-rated horror film, yet the Warner Bros. release has a $90 million price tag before global marketing expenses, so profitability remains a ways away.”

Fans of Jordan, who has built a strong creative partnership with director Ryan Coogler through projects like Creed and Black Panther, praised Stiller for defending Jordan, who added another standout performance to his resume.

Sinners hit theaters worldwide on April 18 and is well on its way to profitability.

Doechii & Westside Gunn Show Each Other Love After He Sampled Her On New Album Track

Westside Gunn and Doechii are giving each other their flowers on social media in the wake of Top Dawg Entertainment’s rising star catching wind of the Griselda mastermind’s nod to her via his latest LP.

On Monday (April 21), both of the rappers shared posts praising one another just as Westside Gunn’s HEELS HAVE EYES track “Egypt” began going viral for its Doechii sample. The song features a clip from one of Doechii’s interviews in which she shouts out a list of her influences, which includes artists such as the late MF DOOM along with the Gunn himself.

“To me, I’ve been into a lot of MF DOOM, OK, rest in peace,” Doechii said during the clip. “Yeah, I’ve been into a lot of MF DOOM, Westside Gunn. Love him. He’s so talented. Super. So incredible.”

Doechii gushed about being featured on “Egypt” in a remark she tweeted that revealed Gunn’s nod had seemingly left her feeling braggadocios.

“Westside Gunn just sampled me so pretty much kiss the blackest part of my ass and choke on a side ways d*ck!” Doechii exclaimed in the tweet she wrote before concluding, writing, “He snapped omg!”

Gunn shared a similar post big-upping Doechii on Instagram by reposting a video she shared to her Story with her raw reaction to being featured on the song.

“So much RESPECT & LOVE for BEST RAP Grammy winner the beautiful inside and out @doechii for ALWAYS showing love,” Gunn wrote in the lengthy caption of the post.

He continued, crowning Doechii as Hip-Hop’s missing link while also campaigning for more artists to interact with each other in a similar fashion.

“Btw This is what the game is missing…” he wrote. “The showing of appreciation!!!! Everybody wanna be so tuff and not show NO LOVE anymore but guess what those are the ppl that’s gonna continue to be in LAST PLACE MAKE ART PUSH ART LOVE ART #SUPERFLYGOD #ICON #HEELSHAVEEYES #GXFR #HIPHOP #TIMELESS #4THROPE #ART #CULTURE.”

Gunna Teases New Music Amid Rumored Tensions With YSL Record Label & Possible New Deal

Gunna appears to be making it clear he’s not afraid of smoke with his record label YSL as rumors are swirling that the outfit could be ostracizing him due to his beef with Young Thug.

On April 20 the “Him All Along” rapper shared an Instagram carousel post featuring select shots and clips from his recent vacation in the Dominican Republic—P#### Cana, to be specific. In one of the videos featured in the post, Gunna teases an unreleased snippet in which he appears to send a subliminal, indirect shot at a broad audience whilst also seemingly pledging his allegiance to a new imprint.

“Let these n##### be goofy, I got a master plan,” Gunna raps in the clip of the new snippet. “Got my feet kicked up/I’m kicking like Justin Chan/1500 or nothing/I got a pack from Rance.”

Gunna’s bars reference Los Angeles-based music imprint 1500 or Nothin’ CEO Larrance “Rance” Dopson and appears to infer that he received an advance from the music executive for a deal of some sort. Prior to sharing the aforementioned post, Gunna posted a separate carousel post on IG witha caption which read “IM OTW ! ALBUM SOON !” Our educated, hypothetical guess, is that he may have signed a deal for a single project with the publishing company 1500 or Nothin’ recently established in partnership with Peer Publishing Company.

Fans also noticed the official Instagram account for YSL Records has been scrubbed of all mentions of Gunna from its page. Young Thug publicly lashed out at Gunna in a tweet last year in which he wrote, “Gunna stop acting like we friends on the internet. I don’t know you my guy.””
