LL COOL J & Nas On A New Song? YES!

LL COOL J premiered his new album with Q-Tip amid the festivities over the 2024 BET Awards weekend in Los Angeles. There was a significant audience at a secret location. The album, which some have already regarded as his greatest ever, has been a huge secret up until this point.

First things first, I can tell you that LL COOL J has a song with Nas on the album, the first time we have heard them together on a record. They are both from Queens. The song is dope and very different from what we’ve heard from either of them, sources said. There’s no audio or anything like that because everybody’s phone was taken, and those who had phones were told not to post anything from it. I’m pretty sure they won’t violate that order, because LL COOL J supposedly doubled down on that.

Secondly, I am hearing there’s a song with Saweetie. Again, there’s no audio, but people are telling me that it’s like a modern-day version of “Doin’ It,” one of his classic records. I don’t know much about her, but I do know that she’s one of the biggest modern-day superstars, so I can’t wait to hear it. The women in the building became hot-n-bothered. LL COOL J ran that back twice because of the positive feedback from the audience.

From what I’m hearing, the album is really dope and the crowd was extremely attentive and enjoyed it. If you know how listening sessions go at these parties, they generally aren’t the best places to hear music. In this instance, I was told that they paid very close attention. I’m sure it helped that they didn’t have phones to distract them, but they could easily have been drinking and talking. For the most part, they didn’t.

It should be noted that LL COOL J did an interview with Datwon Thomas of VIBE magazine fame in front of everybody, and that also helped give people information on the album and the thoughts behind some of the songs. Thomas is a veteran journalist, who has moved into the higher realms of TV production and curation over at Dick Clark Productions.

Overall, the message seems to be that LL COOL J wants to make sure people understand that you can love Hip-Hop and still do Hip-Hop at a high level, even as you get older. I think that’s a good message to keep pounding into the minds of people who continually try to make it exclusively a young person’s sport. Not only that, but I think it’s misguided because they need to see someone like him doing it and doing it well. No pun intended.

LL COOL J has certified classics, so we’ll hear if the rumors are true.

Tupac Shakur Murder Trial: Keefe D’s Attorney Still Pushing For Bail After Suspicious Wack 100 Offer

Carl Arnold, the attorney representing Tupac Shakur murder suspect Duane “Keefe D” Davis, hoped a Nevada judge would change her mind about granting bail to his client.

Arnold planned to file a motion for reconsideration after Judge Carli Kierny denied Davis bond on Wednesday (June 26).

“We are disappointed with the court’s decision to deny bail to Mr. Davis, especially considering the thorough vetting by Konvict Bail Bonds of the funding source conducted before the source hearing,” Arnold said, per Newsweek. “We firmly believe there is a lack of substantive proof that Mr. Davis intended to profit from his alleged connections to the case.”

Wack 100 attempted to post bail for Davis, paying 15 percent of the $750,000 bond.

Judge Kierny questioned the source of the money, which cannot be tied to any deal in which Davis gets compensated for discussing Tupac Shakur’s death.

The judge kept Davis in jail but said she would review Wack 100’s bank records at a hearing on Tuesday (June 25).

“I don’t really see where the actual $112,500 came from with what’s been provided,” she said. “I also don’t find the defense has met the burden … to show that the bail is not connected to Mr. Davis ultimately talking about Mr. Shakur’s murder and any evidence to contrary is not credible.”

Wack 100 claimed he didn’t pay bail in exchange for the rights to Davis’ story. Judge Kierny remained concerned about the money.

“The court has determined that Mr. Davis failed to make a prima facie showing the bond was obtained through legal sources,” the judge ruled on Wednesday. “The [bank] records provided are insufficient to make the requisite showing that the $112,500 bail premium was paid by a legitimate source.”

Last year, Davis was arrested for his alleged role in Shakur’s 1996 murder. Las Vegas police said Davis orchestrated the fatal shooting.

Davis pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder. His trial is scheduled to begin in November.

Diddy Dropped By Powerful NYC Law Firm—But Not At Lady Gaga’s Request

Sean “Diddy” Combs  has been dropped by Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sacks, a powerful law firm based in Manhattan.

According to the News Nation, a source said, “Lady Gaga said she was leaving (the firm) if they didn’t drop Diddy. And she’s too big to lose.” But in a statement to Page Six, a spokesperson for the law firm confirmed, “The decision to part ways with Mr. Combs was proactively made by the partners in the firm a number of months ago as they felt it was the right thing to do.”

The embattled Bad Boy Records mogul has been with Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sacks for more than two decades and would often stop by Allen Grubman’s house when in the Hamptons.

During the first full year of touring since the post-pandemic return, the firm reportedly did stadium run deals for The Weeknd, Lady Gaga and Bruce Springsteen; arena tours for Madonna, Chris Brown, Lizzo and Nas as well as tours for Lil Wayne, Carly Rae Jepsen and Nav, the critically acclaimed Vegas residency for USHER and headlining treks for Lil Nas X and Zach Bryan, among others.

The firm also closed several of the largest catalog sales in history last year for iconic artists Springsteen, Paul Simon, Sting and the Estate of David Bowie in addition to catalog deals for Sarah McLachlan and Jhené Aiko.

As most people are well aware, Diddy is currently facing significant legal challenges, with allegations of serious misconduct emerging from multiple fronts. Diddy is accused, along with two co-defendants, of raping a 17-year-old girl in a New York recording studio in 2003. His legal team has filed for the dismissal of the lawsuit, arguing that the claim is not only false but also filed too late under New York State law. The case has drawn considerable media attention, adding to the scrutiny surrounding Diddy’s personal and professional life.

But what truly got the ball rolling was Cassie Ventura’s bombshell lawsuit, which was filed in November 2023. She alleged years of abuse, drug use and sexual coercion throughout their relationship. She also claimed that Diddy exerted complete control over her life, often giving her copious amounts of drugs and physically abusing her. She also detailed instances of being coerced into sexual acts with other people while under the influence of various substances. The relationship ended in 2018, but Ventura stated that the trauma continues to haunt her, necessitating intensive medical and psychological care.

Although the two parties settled the lawsuit in less than 24 hours, it opened the floodgates for a flurry of more allegations from multiple people.

Diddy is also subject to a criminal sex trafficking investigation and other similar lawsuits. His legal team categorically denies the accusations, stating that these claims are unfounded and damaging to his reputation. The legal battles have cast a shadow over his career, with ongoing litigation potentially affecting his business and public image.

EXCLUSIVE: B.G. Has To Give Probation Officers Lyrics Before Recording Or Production

B.G. faces an unusual amount of governance over his artistic expression after a recent court decision.

He has been ordered to provide his probation officers with a copy of the lyrics to any song he writes, raising concerns about the constitutionality of this requirement.

Yesterday’s court’s decision follows a dispute between the government and B.G. over the modification of his supervised release conditions.

The rapper served 12 years for gun possession and witness tampering. He was released in September 2023.

But he was soon in authorities’ cross-hairs following a March 2024 performance with rapper Boosie.

B.G. was arrested for failing to get his probation officer’s clearance to perform and never asked permission to release the mixtape “Choppers and Bricks” with Gucci Mane.

The government argued that B.G.’s recent lyrics, which allegedly glorify murder, drug dealing, and obstructive conduct, are inconsistent with the goals of rehabilitation.

They claimed that his music echoes the behavior that led to his imprisonment.

However, B.G. maintained that his music is a form of self-expression and does not constitute illegal or criminal activity.

He argued that the proposed condition of refraining from promoting and glorifying future gun violence/murder and obstructive conduct in his songs and during his concerts is an unconstitutional prior restraint of speech.

Recognizing the concerns raised by the government and B.G., the court expressed reservations about the constitutionality of the proposed condition.

However, the court imposed a modified requirement instead of outright rejecting it.

B.G. must now provide the United States Probation Office with a copy of the lyrics to any song he writes before production or promotion.

“At that time, the Government may, if it deems necessary and appropriate, file another motion for leave to file a rule to show cause why the Defendant’s conditions of supervised release should not be modified because the Defendant’s conduct is inconsistent with the goals of rehabilitation,” Judge Susie Morgan ruled.

These lyrics will be kept under seal to protect against copyright infringements and will only be shared with the United States Attorney’s Office upon receipt.

Once B.G.’s supervised release is terminated, the sealed documents will be returned to him.

This decision grants an inordinate amount of control to B.G.’s probation officers, who will have the power to review and potentially influence his creative output.

In addition to this new requirement, B.G. must comply with other revised special conditions of supervised release.

These include participating in cognitive behavioral therapeutic treatment or a treatment program for drug and/or alcohol abuse, performing community service, pursuing education or vocational training, and obtaining prior written approval from the probation officer before engaging in any self-employment, including his career as a rap artist and singer.

He is also restricted from traveling outside the District of Nevada, where he is supervised, without written permission for work-related purposes.

The scrutiny of B.G.’s lyrics and the travel restrictions throw the possibility of a Cash Money Millionaires album and tour into chaos.

“I just feel like Christopher Dorsey and ‘B.G.’ are two different people,” B.G. told the judge in a hearing earlier this month, according to The Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate.

“It’s basically like telling Robert De Niro he can’t make any mob movies…I just did a hard 12 and a half years … In no way am I glorifying. I’m just being creative from coming up in a messed-up environment. I’m just rapping about what I know,” he added.

B.G.’s arguments did not move the judge.

The court’s order allows the government to file another motion to modify B.G.’s supervised release conditions if his conduct is deemed inconsistent with rehabilitation goals.

Rihanna Shows Off Her Playful Side In Hilarious Video With A$AP Rocky

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are giving fans a glimpse behind the curtain of their very private relationship with a video featuring the mother-of-two turning up to GloRilla’s latest Banger, “TGIF.”

Glo’s weekend anthem is a firm fan favorite, and the track has been going viral since she teased it on TikTok before it officially dropped. With catchy and relatable lyrics like, “It’s 7 P.M. Friday, it’s 95 degrees,” “TGIF” is an ideal song to end the week.

Rihanna gave GloRilla’s song her stamp of approval, sharing a funny video of A$AP Rocky’s reaction to her dancing to the track. In the clip, Rihanna raps the lyrics enthusiastically to Rocky, but he is over her antics.

He wore an amused look and stood with his hands on his hips as RiRi rapped, “I ain’t got no n####, and no n#### ain’t got me.” He waited for her to wrap it up before jokingly asking, “Where my drink at? “I’m too old for this s###.”

Rihanna captioned the clip, “Happy Friday,” and it certainly was for GloRilla. She posted the video on social media writing, RIRIIIII AHHHHHHH, alongside laughing and fire emojis. “I can’t breathe.”

Rihanna’s Instagram post gained more than 4 million likes on Instagram in six hours, with fans loving their chemistry. A$AP Rocky recently described his relationship with the mother of his children as their “best collaboration.”

The couple share two sons, RZA, who was born in May 2022, and Riot Rose, who entered the world in August 202. However, they don’t want to stop there and are hoping for more babies.

Earlier this month, ET asked Rihanna if she and A$AP Rocky plan to expand their family. “You know what, I hope so. I do. I’m not pregnant if that’s what you’re asking,” she said.

Polo G Family Feud Update: Mom Files Restraining Order Against Her Daughter After Shooting

Polo G continues to deal with a wild family feud as tensions between his mother and sister continue to soar.

According to reports, Polo G’s mother, Stacia Mac, recently filed a domestic violence restraining against Leilani Capalot.

The restraining order follows an incident earlier this month after Stacia Mac claimed she was forced to shoot at her own daughter, who was threatening her during a manic episode.

“Ya damn right I blew that mf!” Polo G’s mom Stacia wrote on Instagram Stories. “I NEVER said I didn’t. I thought it was 16 shots? ANOTHER LIE SHE TOLD and not a tear came out her eye bc she’s manipulative and calculated. Three warning shots to get an unstable person from my home where my baby and grand baby were afraid and upset. While SHE was having a full manic episode! I bet it got her ass off my property.”

As for Leilani, she has made some bitter accusations against her mother as well. She claims Stacia Mac is verbally and physically abusive and jealous.

In the past, Leilani has admitted to having mental health and drinking problems but maintains that her mother constantly provokes her and is usually the aggressor.

Unfortunately, much of the drama has spilled over to social media, where Stacia Mac called out her daughter over the altercations.

Stacia Mac took to social media to post one incident between her and her daughter, claiming the issues have been ongoing for the last two years.

“This is what I’ve dealt with for two years. It hurts. Clearly this was private. This happencd a weck ago. Our family never publically showed it. She needs help it’s not ok no one should ever try to fight their mom. Leilani is 27. I’ve taken care of her her whole life. hurts,” Stacia Mac wrote.

She also claimed Leilani called the cops on her ex-boyfriend and falsely claimed he was holding her at gunpoint as she hid in the bathroom.

While Leilani and her mother continue to beef, it looks like her bond with her brother, Polo G, remains solid.

In a post on IG in January, Leilani admitted she had some mental health issues but credited Polo G for standing by her side.

“2023 was a really hard year for me! My mental health took a decline. I felt like I was the ugliest version of myself that I had ever been in my life! You never looked at me any different. You spoke life into me. You made me come to Cali to be surrounded by love and support and with you I know I’m never alone,” Leilani wrote.

However, Polo G’s mother cautioned her son against coddling his sister – and pointed to the plight of their younger brother Taurean “Trench Baby” Bartlett – who was charged with murder in November of 2023.

“Polo you can’t help here if you’re making excuses. You did the same thing with Trench we all see how that worked out. Leave it alone. If I stand on business with my kids stop enabling them.”

The rapper’s mother even labeled Polo G a “goofy” for supporting his sister.

“You won’t care til your sister crash out like your brother, bc when I told them better you enabled the b########.”

ScHoolboy Q Mocks Donald Trump Over Golf Exchange With President Joe Biden

ScHoolboy Q took to Twitter to mock former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden’s debate exchange about golf, opting for a lighthearted twist of one of the most polarizing events apart of the ongoing election cycle.

Known for bringing his vibrant personality to the green, the Blue Lips lyricist couldn’t resist commenting on the presidential candidate’s heated point-counterpoint discussion comparing each other’s golfing prowess and IQ’s. In particular, ScHoolboy appeared to find it comically absurd that not only did the debate detour into their golf, but further plunged into a pissing match concerning who had won the most hardware between Biden and Trump.

“THey talking bout golf im crying braH biden ain’t no 6 Handicap dawg. trump definitely cHeated during tHe club cHampionsHip,” ScHoolboy Q tweeted.

ScHoolboy seemingly couldn’t get enough of the exchange and proceeded to crack up behind the mini-golf feud in a subsequent tweet.

“This s##t Hilarious,” he wrote in the tweet stamped with an American flag.

In case you missed it, ScHoolboy’s tweet referenced when the portion of the conversation in which Biden claimed to be a six handicap, a statement that raised eyebrows given the level of skill such a handicap represents. According to a report from NBC Miami, “the closer a handicap is to zero, the more the player would be considered a scratch golfer, which is essentially shooting around par (72) every time.” In essence, this means “Biden is better than most amateur golfers because he’d shoot around the low 80s to high 70s, which is generally a solid score.”

Given that ScHoolboy Q’s foray into golf isn’t just a casual interest, it makes sense that he’d find the humor in this, considering he has become somewhat of Hip-Hop’s ambassador for golf. The rapper has embraced the sport, often sharing his experiences and passion for golf with his fans. His amateur golf career, while not without its challenges, has seen him rubbing shoulders with high-profile celebrities and seasoned golfers alike.

“I got into it, and it changed my mental, it let me learn myself as a person,” ScHoolboy said in 2022. “Like, this is why certain things in my life are going bad or certain things are going good, because of the attitude thing. It fixed my attitude in life. It fixed a whole lot of things about me in life.”

ScHoolboy Q recently made a splash in the world of golf with his appearance in Nike’s latest golfing ad campaign where he showcased his passion for the sport while sporting Nike’s cutting-edge golf apparel and equipment.

Check out the hilarious exchange below.

Will The “Not Like Us” Remix Include Dr. Dre?

Hey everyone, gather around because I’ve got some rumors to share! You may have already heard the buzz about a rumored remix of Kendrick Lamar‘s track “Not Like Us.” This remix is said to feature an incredible lineup including ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, YG, and the legendary OG Snoop Dogg. And that’s not all – word on the street is that Dr. Dre is coming out of retirement to co-produce this remix alongside the original producer, DJ Mustard. This collaboration is already shaping up to be something crazy! I have never heard the Dr. Dre part.

Mustard Explains Why Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Was “Years In The Making”

Now, let’s address the elephant in the room – will this remix take shots at Drake? Some rumors suggest that it won’t include direct disses towards Drake. Instead, it aims to be a fully realized summer banger, packed with fun and energy, just what we need right now. While the inter-webs continues to stir the pot and keep the feud alive, the remix itself might steer clear of any direct jabs. Drake is still a force!

If these rumors turn out to be true, it will be even more exciting. The original track is already a classic on its own, and any additional disses might be too much. “Not Like Us” ended the lyrical portion of the battle, even though there are rumors Drake may spin the block again.

DJ Mustard and Dr. Dre? Let’s keep our fingers crossed – the middle two!

Megan Thee Stallion’s L.A. Party Erupts Into Chaos As Jonathan Wright Brawls With Security

Megan Thee Stallion‘s album listening party turned chaotic on Thursday night (June 27), when her security team got into a physical altercation with celebrity hairstylist Jonathan Wright. TMZ obtained video footage of the incident, which went down at Millwick Event Space in downtown Los Angeles, and it appears Wright was able to punch one of the men in the face.

The event was intended to celebrate the release of Megan Thee Stallion’s new album, Megan, but took a left turn when tensions escalated between Wright and members of Megan’s security detail. The confrontation reportedly began over a disagreement regarding entry and access at the exclusive soirée, leading to a heated exchange that quickly became physical.

Witnesses at the party described the scene as jarring, with guests quickly moving to avoid the scuffle. Despite the disruption, Megan Thee Stallion attempted to remain composed and stay focused on her fans, ensuring the listening party continued as planned. But she did end up approaching Wright to determine what happened. The two wound up at the bar grabbing a drink and all seemed to be well.

Megan Thee Stallion released Megan at the magical hour of midnight ET on Friday (June 28). It marks her first project under her independent label, Hot Girl Productions, following her contentious departure from 1501 Certified Entertainment. The self-titled album features several guests, including UGK, GloRilla and Victoria Monét. Fans have already had a taste of the album through singles like “Cobra,” “Hiss” and “Boa,” which carry a distinctive snake theme, reflecting Megan’s affinity for the symbolism of renewal and transformation.

The cover art for Megan depicts a striking image of Megan inside a cocoon, symbolizing rebirth, which aligns with the album’s themes. During her Hot Girl Summer Tour stop in Atlanta, she revealed the album and shared a QR code for fans to pre-save it.

As for Jonathan Wright, he was all smiles arriving on the red carpet, taking photos with Megan Thee Stallion and holding a giant snake alongside the rapper.

Jeezy Addresses Divorce Drama In New JT Collab “Okay” Remix

Jeezy hopped on a new track with JT and got social media talking after addressing his recent divorce from Jeannie Mai.

On Friday (June 28), the former City Girl’s rapper dropped the remix to “Okay” after teasing a feature from the Snowman earlier this week. Jeezy began trending with fans reacting to his bars addressing his divorce and his ex-wife Jeannie Mai.

Jeezy gets straight to it, opening his verse with an announcement that he’s back on the market, rapping, “Summer ’24, I’m single as a dollar bill/Handsome and wealthy, can’t forget the fact a n#### real.”

From there, he references Mai’s accusation that he keeps his AK-47 assault rifle unsecured in their home. The TV presenter mentioned this during their divorce and child custody battle, claiming she had concerns about their daughter’s safety.

Jeannie Mai alleged Jeezy carried the weapon around the house and would often leave it along with other firearms and ammunition in places accessible to their toddler.

“Why you got choppas in ya house?” Jeezy raps on the “Okay” remix. “Cause i’m a n#### still/A b####’ll never catch me slippin, yea banana peel/Ever lost a real one, you dropped the ball baby.”

Jeezy also mentioned another contentious battle, using it to remind fans of his longevity. It looks like Jeezy is firmly back outside this summer, and his JT collab is just the start.

“You takin’ off this summer? I said n####, naw,” Jeezy declared. “All I’m hearin’ ’bout is Drizzy Drake and K.Dot/ Been on fire twenty years, b####, I stay hot.”

After months of messy allegations, Jeezy and Jeannie Mai finalized their divorce on Tuesday (June 11). The former couple agreed to keep the details of their bitter dispute under wrap. The terms of the deal will not be made public.

Camila Cabello Thinks Dinner Would End Drake Vs. Kendrick Beef

Camila Cabello’s new album, C,XOXO, dropped amid tensions between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, and she is siding with the Toronto rapper.

The 27-year-old former Fifth Harmony member enlisted Drake to feature on two songs for her fourth solo project, released Friday.

However, Drake’s involvement has been overshadowed by his heated feud with rapper Kendrick Lamar.

The feud has seen the artists exchange barbs through diss tracks and sharp accusations concerning their personal and professional lives.

Camila Cabello voiced her support for Drake in an interview with The Times, expressing frustration over the negativity surrounding her collaborator.

“It’s so frustrating to see people talk about someone you know in a way that is negative. You’re like, ‘Dang, if only you guys could just have dinner or something,'” she said.

The Cuban-American pop star revealed how she recruited the Canadian rapper for her album, highlighting the uncertainty she felt when she reached out to him.

“I sent a direct message via social media but didn’t expect him to reply,” she admitted. “It’s like a weird teenage thing where I feel that nobody cares about me or likes me. And it was fun to be proven wrong.”

Drake isn’t the only high-profile artist lending their talent to C,XOXO, which also includes appearances from Playboi Carti, Lil Nas X, JT, Yung Miami, and BLP Kosher.

Meet Wande Coal: “The T-Pain Of Africa”

Wande Coal has been deemed the “T-Pain of Africa” by his fans, who also claim he has the best vocals in the entire continent. Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, the dancer-turned-recording artist is best known for creating feel-good music.

Speaking to AllHipHop, Wande described himself “an African sensational artist, known for his unique vocals and writing skills. And a boss, it is what it is.”

Most recently, Wande Coal unveiled his fourth studio album titled Legend Or No Legend, which is exactly what the title conveys. Regardless what people think of him, Wande knows his talents and continues to bless audiences all around the world with undeniable music. The project features guest appearances from T-Pain, Fireboy DML, Olamide, and Wizkid.

AllHipHop chatted with Wande Coal virtually to discuss his upcoming performance at Duke Concept‘s second annual Tribeville in Houston on July 5 and A Night With Wande Coal Tour in New York and Silver Spring.

AllHipHop: When did you fall in love with music?

Wande Coal: I’ve been in music since I was age five. I was in the choir. My dad used to always play me Michael Jackson all the time, so I had all the CDs and turntables at the time. That’s how I caught the hat. God blessed me with it.

AllHipHop: Is Michael Jackson how you started dancing?

Wande Coal: Yeah. Michael Jackson, Usher. All around Mike, he was the total package. Because I used to watch his movies, everything about him. From the Jackson 5, I tapped in.

AllHipHop: When did you shift from dancing to doing your music?

Wande Coal: I used to dance for different artists. I had the opportunity to dance in university. I’ve been dabbling in between dancing and singing. I had the opportunity to meet Don Jazzy and D’Banj and my life changed.

AllHipHop: I love your song with “Kpe Paso” with Olamide. How’d you guys connect? Did you think it would be you know what it is today?

Wande Coal: Olamide is a phenomenal artist, everybody knows that. He’s number one. He could switch everything. He makes party songs, he makes hardcore. He makes everything. He’s everything. I already knew. We come from different aspects of music where we want to kill it. We love what we do. When you’re on a record with Olamide, it’s fire. So I already knew, and I already told him from the jump. I told him as soon as I heard the beat: yo, it’s over. As soon as he killed me, I said yo that’s all I want. Whatever you just did, it’s all I want. That’s how “Kpe Paso” came about.

AllHipHop: Best memory from the music video?

Wande Coal: Everything. Even the idea, because Olamide even gave me the name of the director to shoot the video. He gave me the idea and everything, so it was a good look.

AllHipHop: Someone said you’re the T-Pain of Africa.

Wande Coal: I love T-Pain. [laughs]

AllHipHop: I know you guys collaborated, how’d that happen?

Wande Coal: That happened through Nina. EMPIRE did that and created that avenue. As soon as I heard the record, I’m like what! I’ve been dreaming for a T-Pain collaboration. In fact, Nigeria has been dreaming for a T-Pain collaboration between me and him. It happened, it’s a dream come true. Shout out to T-Pain.

AllHipHop: Your last album is called Legend Or No Legend. Can you describe that title?

Wande Coal: A lot of people say: “Wande, you’re a legend.” I’m trying to say regardless of the title, it’s not about what you are. It’s about the music. It’s about the love. It’s about the love for music. That’s what I bring to the table, not carried away. I just love music.

AllHipHop: What is Black Diamond?

Wande Coal: Black Diamond is a record label that I started in 2013 by myself. I own a record label with a whole bunch of guys. Me, my brothers, my managers, people that believe in my dream. Right now Black Diamond, we’ve signed two new artists. We hope to drop a lot of music coming out this year by October.

AllHipHop: What’re you most excited for performing at Tribeville

Wande Coal: Hmm. Everybody knows me for energy. Everybody knows that I have a lot of hit records. Now, it’s time to play from old school and bring it back to new school. I’m going to be back to back killing it. It is what it is, go crazy.

AllHipHop: How do you prepare for a festival like that?

Wande Coal: First of all, rehearsals. I pray [laughs]. I put in hard work. I make sure that everything is on point. That’s what you do when you love what you do.

AllHipHop: What song are you most excited to perform live at Tribeville?

Wande Coal: A lot of songs.

AllHipHop: Is there a fan favorite?

Wande Coal: “Again,” “So Mi So,” “Gentility,” “Iskaba,” “You Bad,” “Bumper 2 Bumper.” A lot of songs.

AllHipHop: Anyone else you’re excited to see on the bill?

Wande Coal: Yeah definitely, a lot. Everybody. I want to see how it’s done. But most especially, I love Young Jonn. I’d like to catch him. Also I’d like to see Davido perform too.

AllHipHop: How was working with Wizkid?

Wande Coal: Yo, Wizkid is my blood. I always say it all the time. Working with Wizkid is like working with me, the same energy. We hard n*ggas, we like to work. We melodic, we do what we love. It’s hardcore. Music for us, we’re superheroes.

We want to kill it and show the world that yo, I’m about to save you [laughs]. That type. That’s how we are, built in our DNA. This is what we did, and what we do. It’s part of our struggle, we put back that energy into the music. That’s pretty much how we are.

Latto Defends Her “Virgin” Lyrics Amid Body Count Debate

Latto referenced virginity again on her new song “Big Mama,” sparking more online discussion about her pride in her body count. The RCA Records artist reacted to the social media chatter on Friday (June 28).

“Like first of all it’s not that f##### deep u can easily switch it out..for example: ‘body count so high f### Latto and them virgins’ easy,” she wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Latto’s post referenced a lyric from her song “Sunday Service,” which dropped in February.

“Body count so low I might say I’m a virgin,” she rapped on the track.

The “Sunday Service” line and Latto’s comments on social media generated lots of talk about her body count this year. Earlier this month, she complained about the scrutiny.

“The thing is I just wanna be able to talk about what I want to talk about on my social media,” she said on Instagram Stories. “Just like … the rest of y’all … I’m too rich for this s###. B####, I don’t even give a f###.”

Latto reignited the conversation with the release of “Big Mama.” The song featured another “virgin” line.

“I was a virgin ‘fore I met you, baby, I don’t have a ex,” she rapped.

Camila Cabello Says Caribbean Trip With Drake Wasn’t Vacation—But It Revealed His “Humanity”

Drake and Camila Cabello’s recent Caribbean getaway was apparently more like a work trip than a baecation, according to the vocalist herself.

During a recent interview with NBA player Jimmy Butler, Cabello provided more context about the alleged vacation she shared with Drake in Turks and Caicos. Though it appears as though she tried to sidestep the question, at first, the Miami Heat star guard remained persistent in his quest to find out more about the highlights of the work retreat, at the discretion of the producers of the interview.

“Well, I didn’t vacation with Drake,” Cabello said in part before adding, “Well we had this song on our album. We had to finish it. So we went on vacation.”

As Cabello continued, she appeared to try to attempt to take some of the heat off of the conversation by bridging the gap between herself and Butler.

“Everybody knows Turk and Caicos for two days, but it was also to finish our f###ing incredible banger that you’re going to hear so it was productive. You know about working and vacationing.”

Though it was clear Cabello was ready to switch subjects, Butler managed to get her to dish about the best part of the vacation, which led to somewhat of a surprising response.

“The best thing about it was, honestly, I’ve been listening to Drake for so long. It’s great to get to know someone who you respect and admire from the outside and then you get to know them and you have more respect and admiration for them for just the kind of person they are and how they treat people and their generosity and their kindness,” she said.

She added, that the jet skis are also fun while also mentioning that hanging with Drake allows you to see “the humanity” he exudes, which Butler co-signed by adding, “Yeah, he’s a good dude I f##k with Drake.”

President Joe Biden Bashes Donald Trump For Lying After Widely Panned Debate

President Joe Biden and Donald Trump’s first debate of the 2024 election cycle left many voters feeling hopeless on Thursday night (June 27). Biden defended himself against widespread criticism of his debate performance at a campaign rally in North Carolina on Friday (June 28).

Biden attempted to ease concerns about his fitness for the presidency. He also called out Trump for repeatedly lying in their debate.

“I know I’m not a young man,” Biden said. “Folks, I don’t walk as easily as I used to. I don’t speak as smoothly as I used to. I don’t debate as well as I used to. But I know what I do know. I know how to tell the truth. I know right from wrong. I know how to do this job. I know how to get things done. And I know, like millions of Americans, when you get knocked down, you get back up.”

He continued, “I know what it will take to bring this economy to everybody. I know what it’ll take to rally the world to stand up against [Vladimir] Putin and defend freedom, not yield to him. And I know what it takes to keep the world safe and free for the years ahead. Folks, I give you my word as a Biden, I would not be running again if I didn’t believe, with all my heart and soul that I can do this job. Because quite frankly, the stakes are too high.”

Fat Joe and E-40 appeared at Biden’s rally in North Carolina. Fat Joe performed the hit singles “Lean Back” and “All the Way Up” while E-40 did renditions of “Snap Yo Fingers” and “Tell Me When to Go.”

The second presidential debate between Biden and Trump is scheduled for September 10. Trump will be sentenced for his falsifying business records conviction on July 11.

Fugees Reunion Album In The Works?

Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel’s reunion might not be limited to a tour. A source told Page Six the Fugees are working on a follow-up to their 1996 album, The Score.

Recording a new album may require urgency since Pras awaits sentencing for his role in an illegal foreign influence scheme. He was found guilty of conspiracy, concealment of material facts, making false entries in records, witness tampering and serving as an unregistered agent of a foreign power in 2023.

The Fugees reunited for their first performance in years in 2021. The group planned a tour to celebrate The Score’s 25th anniversary, but COVID-19 concerns led to its cancellation.

Hill recruited her fellow Fugees members for a tour commemorating the 25th anniversary of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 2023. A vocal injury forced Hill to several shows, but Wyclef assured fans the tour would resume in 2024.

“I would say to everybody we’re picking back up on the Fugees tour this year,” he told AllHipHop in February. “If you missed the Fugees last year, catch the Fugees this year. Another big thing I’m excited about is my Netflix movie called Prince of Port au Prince, which is based on my childhood and how I escaped poverty through imagination, so look out for that.

“That’s going to be amazing. Me and Lil Wayne, we’re in the studio working on some secret, cool music. So, yeah, a lot of good things to look out for in 2024. We’re coming for sure. 100 percent.”

Wyclef turned out to be right, as Hill and the Fugees announced the tour’s continuation on Monday (June 24). The group will be joined by Hill’s son YG Marley.

The upcoming tour begins in Tampa, Florida on August 9. The Fugees are scheduled to perform across the U.S. through September before heading overseas in October. The European leg of the tour includes concerts in London, Manchester, Paris and Amsterdam.

Check out the tour dates below.

Kodak Black Reveals Just How Severe His Percocet Addiction Was

Kodak Black discussed his Percocet addiction at a show in Los Angeles on Thursday night (June 27). The Florida-bred rapper claimed he took 100 pills per day at his worst point.

“When I was at my stage, chewing on them Percs, I ain’t gonna say I popped them b######,” he told the crowd. “But when I was at my stage, I was chewing like – bruh, I swear to God and my n#### will vouch – I was chewing 100 Percs a day, man. Average like 40. Average! If I was f###### with them fake s####, bruh, I’d have been dead. Bruh, I say that, I’m explaining myself now. I don’t want y’all to hear that and take that and feel like it’s okay to do that s###, ya feel me?”

Kodak Black regretted his “I knew the Perc was fake, but I still ate it ’cause I’m a gremlin” line from the hit single “Super Gremlin,” which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The polarizing artist admitted he was conflicted about rapping the fake Perc lyrics.

“It’s sad though, bruh, because it’s like that s###—the bar came to mind so quick,” he said. “I’m like, ‘Damn, I don’t wanna say this s###, but I know this b#### gon’ go in.’ But we ain’t gon’ play like that, bruh.”

Earlier this year, a Florida judge dismissed drug possession and evidence tampering charges against Kodak Black. He was arrested for cocaine possession and tampering in December 2023. Prosecutors did not pursue the cocaine charge, instead charging with oxycodone possession. His lawyer insisted he had a prescription for oxycodone.

Kodak Black’s arrest resulted in a probation violation, which left him stuck behind bars for about two months. He pleaded guilty to failure to report police contact and was released from jail in February.

Pete Rock Dubbs Donald Trump “A Savage” Following Joe Biden Debate

The 2024 Presidential Debate got underway on Thursday night (June 27), pitting President Joe Biden and Donald Trump against each other. Social media, of course, blew up with reactions to what many Americans are calling “a sad day” for the United States.

Of course, there were no shortage of jokes. One particular clip of Biden is making the rounds due to Trump’s response. As Biden was speaking on border patrol, Biden seemed to trail off until he was inaudible. Trump replied, “I really don’t know what he said at the end of that sentence. I don’t think he knows what he said either.” Biden just looked at him with a blank stare, prompting even more criticism to come his way.

Pete Rock wrote on the clip, “Trump is a savage,” while others simply laughed. Others had Biden’s back, explaining he’s had a stuttering problem since he was a child.

Hosted by CNN at the network’s Atlanta studios, the debate, moderated by Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, featured no live audience, allowing for a focused and intense exchange between the candidates. Biden and Trump tackled key issues including the economy, healthcare and foreign policy, each trying to underscore their vision for America’s future while criticizing their opponent’s past actions and proposals.

The debate was marked by sharp exchanges and contrasting styles, with Biden emphasizing his administration’s achievements and plans for continued recovery and growth, while Trump criticized Biden’s handling of domestic and international issues, promising a return to what he described as more effective policies.

The event was widely covered and streamed across multiple platforms, ensuring a broad audience. Political analysts and viewers alike have begun dissecting the performances, with many noting the significance of this early encounter in shaping the narrative for the 2024 presidential race in November.

Drake Accused Of Instagram Entanglement With Mustard’s Ex-Wife In Spite Of Kendrick Lamar Beef

Drake fans believe the Toronto rapper is attempting to tell Mustard to catch up based on his latest petty social media move.

Chanel Thierry, the West Coast music producer’s ex-wife, has apparently followed none other than the 6 God himself on Instagram. Adding fuel to the fire, Drake swiftly reciprocated by following her back, sending the rumor mill into overdrive. And based on the screenshot proof, the theory is airlock-tight considering both of their following tallies on the app currently match up.

Coincidentally, this latest messy development adds to the swirling news cycle generated after Kendrick Lamar and Mustard recently made headlines for their powerhouse performance at the Juneteenth “The Pop-Out: Ken & Friends” concert, which left fans and music legends crowning K. Dot the “King of the West. Not to mention the move also comes on the heels of the pair taking over the internet with the behind the scenes footage from their recent shoot for the official music video for the scorching Drake diss track “Not Like Us,” which was shot in Compton.

Additionally, fans are on the edge of their seats, eager to see how Drake will respond to Kendrick and Mustard’s undeniable synergy as rumors circulate that Drizzy may release another diss track when K. Dot drops the video for their chart-topping collab. There’s also added context to this situation based on Mustard’s relationship with Thierry, which appears to have strained following a court battle earlier this year.

In January, he was reportedly seeking sole legal custody of the 11-year-old son he shares with his ex-wife after he expressed his concerns about their son’s education at the school he was attending. The former couple also went to battle in court over finances after it was reported that Thierry demanded $80,000 per month in child support for their three kids. However, reports confirm they have since agreed to monthly support payments of $24,000.

There’s also a ton of speculation that Drake’s move following Thierry could be a calculated retaliation, and or revenge tactic, Drizzy is exploring due to the producer seemingly “switching up” on him. Even though Mustard and Kendrick achieved a No. 1 debut with “Not Like Us” the track serves as their first collaboration and the Perfect 10 producer also recently revealed he has been attempting to get K. Dot on one of his records for years.

As a result, the track’s success has been a topic of heated debate, particularly when compared to Mustard’s past collaborations with Drake, including the 2019 hit “Who Do You Love” featuring YG.

Could we see a Drake-Mustard face-off in the near future? Will there be another round of the Drake and Kendrick beef? Could we see Thierry “Pop-Out” with The Boy?

Who tf knows, but one thing is for sure, we are in the midst of one of the pettiest of times in rap.

Charleston White Says Kendrick Lamar Only Unified Rival L.A. Gangs For Video Shoot

Charleston White is back with another hot take, this time on the ongoing beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. Kendrick recently shot a video in his hometown of Compton for his chart-topping Drake diss, “Not Like Us,” drawing huge crowds, including rival gang members.

In a new interview, White emphatically stated the only reason Kendrick Lamar invited the rival gang members to “The Pop Out: Ken & Friends” concert was for the optics—not because he necessarily wanted to broker peace in his community. He also insinuated Kendrick’s concert did nothing to stop gang violence from continuing.

“Kendrick did that for a video shoot,” he said. “He didn’t do that to bring n##### together. Them n##### just found something to dance to.”

White then commented on the unknown local artists who performed at the Juneteenth concert, saying, “They ain’t going nowhere. Ain’t nobody finna to listen to no up and coming L.A. artists, but L.A. artists in their neighborhood. Don’t nobody want to hear that s###.”

From there, White went on to insist Drake is the superior artist. He continued, “Let me just say this. Drake a way better rapper. I know Drake’s songs. I ain’t never heard a n#### in Texas pull up bumping Kendrick’s s### or nothing. I was just going against the grain. Let’s be clear. Kendrick can’t compare unless you like twisting your fingers up like the retarded people. That’s the only way you gonna like Kendrick, you’ve got to be retarded.

“Sensible people don’t gravitate to that b#######. So, so what he gave theses up and coming artist the spotlight for the day. Most of them will be dead tomorrow due to the gang politics. California, Compton or whatever you want to call it, homie is not [inaudible]. Why would go shoot somewhere where nothing grows, everything dies? For what?”

White’s comments follow his controversial remarks on the murder of Florida rapper Julio Foolio. On June 23, just hours after the news broke that Foolio had been fatally shot at Holiday Inn in Tampa, White shared his thoughts on the incident via Instagram. He insisted nobody should mourn Foolio’s death because of the way the rapper carried himself and how “hard” he tried to die, a reference to the multiple times he’d already been shot.

“I knew they was going to get him ‘cause the boy worked hard to die,” White said. “That boy worked hard to get shot on. Man, he shot his foot off last year givin’ his partner [inaudible]. N#### got his foot shot off, he’s not supposed to be bouncing around on his birthday. Man, get somewhere and sit down and rest that foot and work your hips, n#### […] Then I’m thinking, ‘At the Holiday Inn?’ What the f###?

“There ain’t no protection on a n#### at a Holiday Inn. They ain’t even got valet parking! Man, that n#### worked hard to die. S###, he earned it. Should nobody be sad. The way the n#### lived and talked gangsta, should nobody be sad for what happened to Julio Foolio. One thing we know about him, he didn’t go to heaven.”

Foolio was reportedly ambushed in the hotel parking lot. His attorney, Lewis Fusco, confirmed the tragic news, saying, “Yes, I have been his attorney for many years. He was shot and killed in Tampa. I cannot make any statements at this time other than confirming he was killed outside of a Holiday Inn hotel while celebrating his birthday in Tampa this weekend.”

Fusco explained Foolio had been in Tampa all weekend to celebrate his birthday, where he initially stayed at an Airbnb but was asked to vacate the property due to the number of people at the residence. He then booked a room at a local Holiday Inn, where he was evidently ambushed in the parking lot.

“All of this information has been released by law enforcement,” Fusco added. “However, I am unable to comment on anything else at this time until it becomes public record.”
