Toosii Says Tory Lanez’s Among Most Talented Artists Of This Generation

Tory Lanez has become a lightning rod for many music fans. The currently incarcerated R&B performer’s legacy got tainted after being convicted of firearm and assault charges.

However, one of Tory Lanez’s musical peers still showed support for the Canadian-born Daystar Peterson. “Favorite Song” singer Toosii shared his opinion of Lanez on X.

“Love or hate him Tory Lanez [is] one of the most talented [artists] of this generation,” Toosii tweeted on Tuesday (April 30). That post amassed more than 5,000 likes.

Megan Thee Stallion accused Tory Lanez of shooting her in the feet on July 12, 2020, after both stars left a party together. The subsequent court case in Los Angeles County played out over several years.

In December 2022, a California jury found Peterson guilty of assault with a semiautomatic handgun, having a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle and gross negligence in discharging his firearm.

“If I could change it, I would, but I can’t,” Lanez stated after finding out his fate in the trial. “Everything I did that night, I take full responsibility.”

Before being sent to prison, Tory Lanez put out several studio albums. His catalog includes 2016’s I Told You, 2018’s Memories Don’t Die, 2021’s Alone at Prom and 2020’s Sorry 4 What.

GloRilla Brags About Her Sex Skills In NSFW Message

GloRilla has women twerking to her “Wanna Be” single featuring Megan Thee Stallion. The Tennessee native wants the world to know her body control abilities go beyond just sexually suggestive dancing.

“Mfs luv talking about sex appeal baby f### da sex appeal I got DA SEX dats what’s gone get ya n#### took in real life, P#### GOOD CHECK,” GloRilla tweeted on Monday (April 29).

The Ehhthang Ehhthang mixtape creator wrote, “Ion gotta do allat extra s### Fym you hoes be sexy ash with no walls coochie dry asf f### outta here.”

In addition to releasing “Wanna Be” and “Yeah Glo!” in 2024, GloRilla made headlines for a run-in with the law. Gwinnett County, Georgia officers arrested the 24-year-old rapper for allegedly driving under the influence.

Big Glo also got into a highly publicized, heated back-and-forth with City Girls member JT in April. The Memphis representative and the Miami representative fired blatant shots at each other on social media.

The Ehhhthang Ehhhthang track “Aite” kicked off the latest round of tension between GloRilla and JT. That song came after rumors suggested that Glo initiated a physical altercation. The confrontation allegedly happened backstage at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.

Nicki Minaj Shouts Out Drake Amid His Ongoing Beef With Kendrick Lamar

Drake and Nicki Minaj rose to superstardom as part of the Young Money crew. As Drake engages in a lyrical battle with Kendrick Lamar, the Canadian’s “Needle” collaborator showed him love on social media.

Nicki Minaj brought out Drake during her Pink Friday 2 Tour stop in Drizzy’s hometown of Toronto. The surprise appearance made news because the OVO boss told the crowd, “You know what time it is, you know what I gotta do.”

Many Hip-Hop fans assumed that Drake delivered that message in response to Kendrick Lamar’s “Euphoria” diss track which dropped on Tuesday (April 30). Lamar blasted his adversary on multiple fronts throughout the six-minute record.

In addition to dissing Drake on the “Euphoria” song, Kendrick Lamar also warned, “Field goal, punt y’all n#####, they punk y’all n#####, nobody never took my food. Whoever that’s f#####’ with him, f### you n#####, and f### the industry too.”

Apparently, Nicki Minaj did not take Lamar’s warnings on “Euphoria” too seriously. The Pink Friday 2 album creator still shouted out Drake on the X platform following his pop-up at her Tuesday night show in Canada.

“Looking through my DRICKI pics & they came out so cute. Awwwwwwwww. He made me so happy tonight by coming out. Them screams be REAL different when the boy touch down chi. Posting some IG content shortly,” Nicki Minaj tweeted.

Kendrick Lamar Sitting On 19-Minute-Long “Euphoria” Drake Diss, Says TDE’s Daylyt

Kendrick Lamar apparently has another 13 minutes of material that he omitted from his bombshell Drake diss “Euphoria.”

K. Dot surprised fans on Tuesday morning (April 30), with a six-minute-long track bombing on Drizzy. Fans ate up the highly anticipated response to Drake’s “Push Ups (Drop & Give Me 50)” and “Taylor Made Freestyle,” with many declaring him the winner of the first round.

However, despite debatably beating both of Drake’s first-round entries, Lamar dropped a version of “Euphoria” allegedly less than half the length of the original.

According to his former labelmate Daylyt, who’s signed to TDE, Lamar has a version of “Euphoria” that clocks in at nearly 20 minutes long.

Daylyt spilled the beans on X (formerly Twitter), claiming K. Dot has plenty more in the tank. “Crazy part is this not even the full song smh,” he shared. “S### I herd was like 19 mins smh.”

X/Daylyt

If Daylyt is to be believed, Lamar might be planning to drop another diss before Drake can respond, which looks set to be soon. Drake ended his surprise set at Nicki Minaj’s Toronto tour stop with a message. “You know what time it is. You know what I got to do,” he stated before exiting the stage.

Nonetheless, it’s worth noting that Daylyt recently suggested K. Dot wouldn’t respond unless Drake got his “weak” bars up. He even urged the OVO honcho to “go off” on K. Dot in a 10-minute Funk Flex or LA Leakers freestyle to draw him out.

“I’m saying this to Drake,” he said in an Instagram Live chat before “Euphoria” dropped. “If y’all want that man Kendrick to reply, tell Drake to drop a song where he rapping for real. From a lyricist’s standpoint. To where people say, ‘Oh my God! This is Crazy.’ And that man will have to reply. Because then you tap into the lyrical side of it. You tap into the rapper side of it.”

He added, “If a n#### threatening your rap position, that man ain’t got no other choice but to reply. Because now he’s got n##### saying, ‘Yo, Kendrick. Drake might be lyrically better than you.’ And that’s the last thing he wants anybody to say.”

Lil Yachty Claims He Accidentally Liked Post Dissing Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar dropped a bomb on the Hip-Hop world on Tuesday (April 30). The West Coast MC released his “Euphoria” response track directed at Drake, and many people on social media have weighed in on the record.

“Ain’t twenty-v-one, it’s one-v-twenty if I gotta smack n##### that write with you. Yeah, bring ’em out too, I’ll clean ’em out too,” Kendrick Lamar rapped about Drake’s alleged ghostwriters on “Euphoria.”

Drake was not the only person to catch direct shots on Lamar’s internet-breaking song. The OVO Sound leader’s frequent collaborator, Lil Yachty, also got a mention from the pgLang founder.

“I’m allergic to the lame s###, only you like bein’ famous. Yachty can’t give you no swag neither. I don’t give a f### ’bout who you hang with,” Kendrick Lamar rhymed on the diss record.

After “Euphoria” hit the internet, eagle-eyed X users noticed Lil Yachty liked a tweet dissing K. Dot. The post by @drizzyys read, “So who was raising your child while you were out cheating on your wife with white women? @kendricklamar.”

Screenshots of Lil Yachty liking that Drake fan’s tweet spread across the X platform. The Atlanta, Georgia-bred songwriter responded by tweeting, “S### was an accident lmao.”

Benzino’s Alleged Eminem Diss Ghostwriter Breaks Silence

Veteran battle rapper Ness Lee has come forward claiming he is the ghostwriter who penned Benzino’s Eminem diss “Rap Elvis.”

Rumors that Lee was the mystery writer began after a video from the studio had been leaked featuring Benzino and Lee crafting the diss. However, Lee remained silent on the rumors until now.

During a recent interview with Trap Newz Daily, Ness Lee confirmed he wrote “Rap Elvis” for Benzino but insisted he had nothing to do with dissing the late Proof on his earlier diss “Vulturius.”

“I just wanted to do something historic,’ Less said, explaining why he agreed to be Benzino’s ghostwriter. “I felt like I could accomplish writing the greatest diss song toward Eminem. That’s all I wanted to do.”

However, he’s unhappy the studio video leaked revealing him as the writer. “It was never supposed to be public that it was me. This is my first interview and probably my only interview about it,” Lee asserted.

Nonetheless, Lee worries his reputation in Detroit may already be ruined because of Benzino’s Proof diss, despite him having nothing to do with “Vulturius.” Additionally, Lee called the late Detroit rapper “my big brother,” and claimed Benzino left his “rest in peace” to Proof on “Rap Elvis” on the cutting room floor.

“He was eventually going to sign me back in ‘03,” he was the first person to show me love in the industry, battle rap or whatever,” Lee added. “I would never disrespect that man like that.”

Ness Lee explained that he only came forward to clear the air following the aftermath.

“I’ve been getting some concerned messages from some of my brothers from Detroit,” Lee explained. “I had to tell them that I had nothing to do with that one. I physically do not write that basic.”

Benzino Rejects Ghostwriter Allegations

Meanwhile, Benzino denied having a ghostwriter during an Instagram chat with fans earlier this year.

“This is Hip Hop, bro. I don’t wanna hear that ghostwriter s###,” he snapped. “Shut the f### up, bro. You mad because I’m spitting. I wrote that s###.”

Joe Budden Tells Kanye West To Stop “Attention-Seeking” In Drake & Kendrick Lamar’s Beef

Joe Budden has been closely following the battle between Hip-Hop’s “big three” and says Kanye West needs to stay out of it.

On the latest episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, he shared his take on Kanye West dissing Drake on his “Like That” remix. According to Budden, Ye missed his chance and needs to stop interfering.

“Kanye, sit your f###### ass down somewhere,” Budden boomed. “Mind your f###### business. This is not about you. This is some attention-seeking s### that you’re doing.

He claimed that “Kanye has been trying to insert himself in this since the beginning,” after ignoring Drake when he should have dissed him.

“You had your shot. That n#### was gunning for you,” he continued. “Y’all all ran except for Pusha.”

Furthermore, Joe Budden said the only person in Kanye West’s camp he wants to hear diss Drake is Pusha T.

“It’s not smooth when it’s not your beef,” he added. “You are making this all about you when you had a shot already. Move! You are taking attention away from our main event.”

Elsewhere on the podcast, Budden also reacted to West’s appearance on Justin LaBoy’s The Download podcast

While he’s not a fan of Ye dissing Drizzy on wax, he is here for him spilling the tea.

“Kanye is the one though that’s been close enough,” he explained. “Been in the same rooms, been in the same buildings. He could tell us what’s going on up there and he crazy enough to do it.”

T.I. Shuts Down Aspiring Rapper’s Dream To Change Her Life: “Hell Naw”

T.I. had some practical advice for an aspiring rapper who hoped he would change her life.

An artist who goes by the name Tropicana approached T.I. asking to rap for him, hoping to sign to his label. She began spitting aggressively before asking his opinion.

“Listen,” he began. “Let me tell you something. Stop running up to n##### think they gone change your life. Ain’t nobody gone change your life but you.”

When Trapicana asked if he wouldn’t change her life, T.I. responded with an emphatic “Hell naw,” insisting she holds her destiny in her hands.

“I’m helping you by telling you don’t look for a n#### like me to change your life. You got everything you need already. It’s in you, don’t look to me,” he stated.

Nonetheless, Trapicana was undeterred. “I feel like it’s in you, though,” she persisted.

“NO! If you do what you need to do, I’m gone come find you. You ain’t got to come find me. You could reach all your fans right there,” he told her, pointing into the camera to indicate where her audience lies.”

Trapicana tried rapping for T.I. one more time but he stood firm and eventually his message hit home.

“Appreciate it. I needed that talk,” she told T.I. before they hugged it out.

She posted a video of the exchange on Instagram, joking that she took dinner with T.I. over $500K. “No food but atleast im full of knowledge,” she captioned the clip. ‘Thanks TIP.”

During a recent appearance on Shaquille O’Neal’s podcast, The Big Podcast with Shaq, T.I. shared his take on the current generation of rappers.

“I feel that, actually, what they’ve done with music is equivalent to if they were to open up the doors of the arena and say, ‘anybody think you can play basketball?” he explained. “Come on out the stands out here to the floor. Here go you a jersey, man. Get in the game”

Drake Hints At Kendrick Lamar Response: “You Know What I Gotta Do”

Drake fans are waiting with bated breath for his response to Kendrick Lamar’s “Euphoria” and it appears he’s headed to the studio.

On Tuesday morning (April 30), K. Dot finally replied to Drizzy after the OVO honcho dropped “Push Ups (Drop & Give Me 50)” and “Taylor Made Freestyle.” Both tracks responded to Future & Metro Boomin’s chart-topping single, “Like That” featuring Lamar.

Fans have been eating up Lamar’s six-minute Drake diss, preparing for Drake to return fire. However, the only reply so far came via his Instagram Stories, where he posted a clip from the movie 10 Things I Hate About You, referencing lyrics from “Euphoria.”

Nonetheless, Drake gave a strong indication he’s preparing another response for Kendrick Lamar.

On Tuesday evening, the Toronto megastar made a surprise appearance at Nicki Minaj’s tour stop in his hometown. The Young Money duo performed their collab “Needle” before Drake delivered a few more tracks.

However, it was his parting words that hinted at an impending reply. “I love you so much,” he said before leaving the stage. “You know what time it is. You know what I got to do.”

Although it appears Drake is heading to the studio, not everybody believes he should reply. Rick Ross, who also dissed Drizzy on “Champagne Moments,” took to Instagram with some advice.

“Look, white boy, I know we not friends, but lemme give you this advice ‘cause you ain’t got nobody ‘round you. Or you ain’t got no real n##### ‘round you.” he said.

“Don’t do it. Don’t go write an eight-minute verse,” he added, before insinuating that Lil Yachty would write Drake’s response to Kendrick Lamar anyway.

Drake Responds To Kendrick Lamar—But Not In The Way Fans Had Hoped

The rap community has been enthralled by “Euphoria,” Kendrick Lamar’s six-minute diss track aimed at Drake, since it dropped on Tuesday morning (April 30).

The song marked the latest development in the ongoing beef between the “big three”—Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and Drake—which kicked off in March following the arrival of Future & Metro Boomin’s chart-topping single, “Like That” featuring K. Dot.

And while fans held their breath for Drake’s response, the OVO Sound co-founder was busy posting to his Instagram Stories. Several hours after the song dropped, Drake shared a clip from the film 10 Things I Hate About You that finds actress Julia Stiles reading a poem to several students in her English class.

The clip is a direct reference to Lamar’s lyrics from “Euphoria” in which he spits, “I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk/I hate the way that you dress/I hate the way you sneak diss, if I catch flight, it’s gon’ be direct/We hate the b###### you f###, ’cause they confuse themselves with real women.”

He added a broken heart and wink emoji to the post.

“Euphoria” begins slowly but builds into an unhinged, “foaming at the mouth” type of diss and Lamar seemingly growing angrier by the syllable.

“You movin’ just like a degenerate, heavy antic, it’s feelin’ distasteful,” he raps. “Why calculate you, not as calculated, I can even predict your angles/Fabricate stories on the family front, ’cause you heard Mr. Morale/A pathetic master manipulator, I can smell the tales on you now/You not a rap artist, you a scam artist with the hopes of being accepted/Tommy Hilfiger stood out, but nеver had been your collection.

“How I make music that еlectrify ’em, you make music that pacify ’em/I can double down on that line, but spare you this time, that’s random acts of kindness/Know you a master manipulator, and a b####, you a liar too/But don’t tell no lie ’bout me, and I won’t tell truths ’bout you.”

The track follows two of Drake’s songs, “Push Ups (Drop & Give Me 50)” and “Taylor Made Freestyle,” both of which include jabs at Lamar. Needless to say, fans are still holding on to hope that Drake will return fire once again, keeping the public discourse going. Until then, check out his Instagram Stories post above.

NLE Choppa Gives Beyoncé Credit For “Shifting Music” With Country Album

NLE Choppa is giving Beyoncé her flowers for being an inspiration to himself and the music industry at large. As the Memphis native continues to usher in #SlutSeason and his “Mr. F##k A Lot” moniker in promotion of his recent single, “S### Me Out 2,” he took a moment to recognize Queen Bey’s brilliance on Twitter.

In his brief remark, Choppa explained his belief that Beyoncé is responsible for the visible pivot currently trending within the industry as a result of her recent genre-bending country album, COWBOY CARTER.

“Beyoncé I just want to say appreciate the country album, she literally shifting music,” Choppa wrote in part. “All the labels looking for country records because of the shift she’s started just by this album. And even inspiring me, people who look like me, to step outside the box as an urban artist.”

While it’s clear Choppa was motivated to share the message based on his own personal opinion, it’s not like his perspective is far off from the reality of what’s going on right now.

Take for instance Beyoncé’s COWBOY CARTER collaborator Shaboozey, who notched his first No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs Chart after his latest single, “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” jumped 95 percent. According to Luminate, he earned 20.9 million official U.S. streams and a 1,202 percent spike on radio airplay to upwards of 170,000 audience impressions. Side note, yes “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” interpolates J-Kwon’s 2004 hit, “Tipsy.”

Prior to Shaboozey’s solo chart-topper, Beyoncé’s “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” commanded the chart for past 10 weeks, which also serves as the first time in history two Black artists have topped the chart back-to-back. Additionally, artists such as K. Michelle and even Boosie Badazz are making attempts to venture into different genres as well.

YNW Melly Has Mixed Feelings About Inclusion In Kendrick Lamar’s “Euphoria” Diss

YNW Melly felt conflicted about Kendrick Lamar referencing the incarcerated rapper’s murder case on the diss track “Euphoria.” Melly commented on the song following its release on Tuesday (April 30).

“Kendrick Lamar is one of my favorite rappers so I feel honored and appalled,” he told TMZ. “I’m a household name — just for the wrong s###!!!”

Florida prosecutors accuse Melly of killing his friends YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser in 2018. Kendrick alluded to the murders on his Drake diss.

“Yeah, Cole and Aubrey know I’m a selfish n####/The crown is heavy, huh/I pray they my real friends, if not, I’m YNW Melly,” Kendrick rapped on “Euphoria.”

Melly mistakenly believed he got dissed by Kendrick in March. The Florida-bred rapper was confused by Kendrick’s reference to Hip-Hop legend Grandmaster Melle Mel on Future and Metro Boomin’s song “Like That.”

“F### sneak dissin’, first-person shooter, I hope they came with three switches/I crash out like, ‘F### rap,’ diss Melle Mel if I had to,” Kendrick rapped.

Melly reacted to the song by saying he “wasn’t ready for this stray” and tagging Kendrick on Instagram.

“@kendricklamar thought we was cool I sent you my vocals for your record come on OG I’m innocent.”

Melly remains in jail awaiting a retrial in his murder case. His first trial ended in a mistrial.

The retrial was delayed indefinitely due to an appeal filed by the prosecution. Prosecutors appealed Judge John Murphy’s order to suppress a documentary as evidence in the trial. Melly’s legal team asked the judge for permission to proceed with depositions and outstanding motions in the slow-moving proceedings. Prosecutors said the appeal must be settled first. Judge Murphy took both sides’ arguments under advisement, issuing no ruling at an April hearing.

Melly, whose real name is Jamell Demons, faces the possibility of the death penalty if convicted. He maintains his innocence.

Boosie Badazz Says America Is “Brokest” He’s Ever Seen: “You Have To Change Your Lifestyle”

Boosie Badazz is convinced the United States is cooked based on the state of the economy. He feels as though the country may have reached a new low.

In a lengthy tweet he recently shared, Boosie Badazz highlighted a number of current events as the base of his argument about why America is basically “broke.” In the tweet, Badazz suggested impending doom for the U.S. following major changes within the realms of job security in the corporate landscape, and at a socioeconomic level for the general public.

“ITS CRAZY HOW EVERY COMPANY IS GOING BROKE N FILING FOR BANKRUPTCY‼️THIS WORLD HAS NO MONEY,” Badazz said in part before adding, “THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS HURTING. PEOPLE HAVE NO MONEY.

“BESIDES PAYING YOUR BILLS ITS NOTHING EXTRA YOU HAVE MONEY TO SPEND ON ‼️ COMPANIES HAVE TO LAY OFF THOUSANDS OF WORKERS ‼️ YOU REALLY HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE R ELSE ‼️ THIS IS THE BROKEST IVE EVER SEEN AMERICA.”

A post shared by AllHipHop (@allhiphopcom)

Maybe Badazz is on to something, considering he issued his tweet just days after tech giant Tesla announced thousands of layoffs in amid declining sales and competition from Chinese automakers. In California alone, more than 3,300 works were laid off, with the Bay Area being hit the hardest by the cuts. Additionally, Tesla has plans to cut nearly 2,700 workers in the state of Texas, presumably from the plant near Austin where the company is now based.

And according to tracking software platform Layoffs.fyi, which has previously been featured in Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, 268 tech companies have laid off over 75,000 employees in 2024.

Lil Skies Dishes On Fatherhood: “I Don’t Want To Be An Old A$$ Pops”

Lil Skies is back and better than ever.

The Chambersburg, Pennsylvania rapper boasts one of the most loyal fanbases, with music being his saving grace. Skies exploded onto the scene with his breakout singles “I,” “Nowadays” and “Red Roses” — all of which did ground-breaking numbers on both streaming and YouTube.

Now, after a brief hiatus where Lil Skies focused on being a father and being completely present in his son’s life, Lil Skies returns with his newest body of work titled out ur body, reminding fans that he’s completely independent and ready to drop new music consistently.

The project sees Lil Skies in his most introspective state, taking listeners on a ride through his mind and personal growth both personally and professionally.

AllHipHop spoke with Lil Skies about fatherhood, out ur body, his face tats, studio essentials and more.

AllHipHop: How are you feeling?

Lil Skies: S### I’m good. I’m just chillin’, spending time with my son all day. I’ve been chillin’, family time.

AllHipHop: How old is he?

Lil Skies: Four, he’ll be five this year.

AllHipHop: They grow so fast.

Lil Skies: Yeah, it’s crazy. I ain’t gon’ lie, it’s crazy.

AllHipHop: How’s fatherhood been?

Lil Skies: It’s cool. I like it. I enjoy it, a little bit more music probably.

AllHipHop: What’s the biggest lesson you learned in fatherhood?

Lil Skies: I never thought of that one, that’s a good question. For me, I know that it’s time. Me being there in person, that counts more than the money. That’s the biggest thing for me, because I can’t get that back. The money wherever, that’s gonna be what it’s gon’ be. I can’t let that determine my happiness, and for my son too. So I try to be on that type of time, hands on with it. I’ve been like that since I had him, since he was born. It’s natural at this point, it’s part of my life.

AllHipHop: Were you ready for it?

Lil Skies: Yeah, it happens. What’re you going to do? A lot of people have babies, I don’t think a lot of people plan it. I ain’t gonna say my s### was planned, but it happens. That’s life. I’m thankful because at the end of the day, I don’t want to be an old ass pops. I still want to be able to do stuff with my son when he gets a certain age, hang out with him. Face tats looking crazy at 50.

AllHipHop: What’s your favorite thing to do with him?

Lil Skies: Be with him. He likes to play games, so I take him to the arcade a lot. That’s what we do.

AllHipHop: You get to be a big kid.

Lil Skies: Yeah, for sure. That’s his thing, I do whatever he loves. Whatever he loves, I’m supporting it. No matter what it is.

AllHipHop: You just dropped your album Out Ur Body, first release in how long?

Lil Skies: What was it, two years? A year? I don’t really read my comments on Instagram. I just post and get off, go about my day. My team, everybody tells me: “Skies, you need to post more.” I try. Maybe I’m too organic for this industry s###, but that’s just me. I’m not gonna sell myself short and make myself do the most because of what other people say. I really don’t care. I’m to the point, people have talked about me and said so much about me.

Out Ur Body music is just me. It’s about me and my life, me being honest even if they don’t like it. It’s if I like it. I’ve been doing other s### for everybody for so long, including the fans. What about me? That was more so my personal s###. This what I’m rocking with right now. This is what I’ma drop. Just turned independent, why not? I’ma keep dropping, that’s just a taste. I’ma keep dropping new music.

AllHipHop: Being independent must be the most liberating feeling though.

Lil Skies: Yeah, definitely was a process. I definitely went through some s###, it’s not easy. I was signed to a label so it’s a lot of paperwork, lawyers. Back and forth, all this. But it’s done. Luckily when I got in with the label, I got in and I did good. My s### was selling, I was doing good. I had to pay back all this f###### bread, that’s the blessing of it. But it’s all learned. I’m still learning. A lot of people look at me like I have the answers to this s###. I really don’t, I’m learning like everybody else. I’m young still too, I’m still trying to figure it out.

AllHipHop: It’s beautiful because you got real fans and that’s such a blessing.

Lil Skies: Yeah. Luckily, I came into the game with a little fanbase. Thank God for that. Once I got that push behind me, it was go time. I didn’t even realize, I tell people that all the time. I look back on my life, I didn’t really celebrate my accomplishments. I was working working working. I remember I’d get plaques, I wouldn’t even hang them up. I wouldn’t even look at them. I just go about my day, do something else. What’s next? It was always what’s next for me? Now, I’m more so on a time celebrating even my little wins. Because damn, I know that that s### mattered too.

AllHipHop: I was watching the “Thousands” music video, what face tat did you get?

Lil Skies: I got this red line, battle scar.

AllHipHop: How many face tats you got now?

Lil Skies: I don’t know, I never counted. My whole face, however many that is.

AllHipHop: You got the most meaningful one? Is it your son?

Lil Skies: Yeah for sure, definitely. Probably my pops, too. Got one for my Pop and grandfather. People be thinking I got this for Pop Smoke. My grandfather’s name, we call him Pop. I was the one who gave him that name.

AllHipHop: How proud is your family?

Lil Skies: They’re proud. I think so. I hope so. We all hope so right? I think everybody’s proud. I still got a ways to go. I did a lot, but it’s still the beginning in a way. I don’t know how to explain it, it’s a weird feeling. I’m at a weird stage.

AllHipHop: Three things you need in the studio at all times?

Lil Skies: In the studio, definitely my smoke. I gotta be having a good day. I’m not recording if I’m mad and s###. If I’m not feeling it, I’m not gon’ do it. I gotta be feeling it for sure. It’s a feeling, I can’t explain it. It has to be good energy. It has to be a good day. It depends.

AllHipHop: You don’t need nothing else? No snacks?

Lil Skies: Probably water. What do I be having in the studio? Food wise, fruit or we might order something. It depends. When I record in my hometown, it’s not much you can get. We eat at gas stations late night. We don’t have certain s### stay open long, you gotta catch them during the day. Unless you got food at the crib.

AllHipHop: You’re back performing. What’s your favorite song to perform in a set?

Lil Skies: Right now, probably “Rage.” I like performing “Rage.“ That’s my favorite right now. That one be fun, because they be getting turnt to that.

AllHipHop: They be doing mosh pits?

Lil Skies: Hell yeah. It be dope. That’s when I be knowing alright, this s### real. Some people live on this internet s###, then in reality it’s a whole nother story. That’s a lot of people.

AllHipHop: When is Life of a Dark Rose 2 coming out?

I’m being honest, I’m not fully decided if I want to even do part two.

AllHipHop: Damn, the fans are asking.

Lil Skies: I’ll do it, but I haven’t decided yet if I want to. Because I don’t know if I’m in that same phase of my life. I’m not sure. It’s been so long too. Damn, if I was gonna come with it, I should’ve came with it. At the same time, I might do it. I’m at the point where I’m setting my own expectations. I’ll please my fans too, but at the same time, I’ve been through much s### in the industry. It’s gotta be real. But if it’s not real genuine or organic, I’m not doing it. Period, I just don’t want to. That’s how I feel, because I don’t see no point. That’s just my head, how I think. I don’t know how everybody else’s. Me, that’s how I’m in my head. I don’t really talk too much. I’ll say something in interviews here and here to give them somewhere where I’m at in my head. But other than that, I’m kinda hush.

AllHipHop: Any advice for up and coming artists?

Lil Skies: Everybody’s wave is different. I can tell you something, but that’s not going to work for everyone. It’s the same thing everybody says to people: “Oh yeah, keep going. You gotta stay down. You gotta be strong.” I be having to tell myself this s###. I gotta tell myself to keep going on. From what I see nowadays, obviously the internet and all that is winning. If you’re posting on the internet and doing your little videos, staying consistent, a lot of people like that is winning.

That’s what I tell people because that’s how I personally feel. You gotta keep going in this s###, because there will be times you feel like what am I doing this for? Times you not feeling it, but gotta keep going and fighting through it. Make sure it’s something that you want. It comes with a lot, for sure. That’s anything in life.

AllHipHop: What’s your favorite song you ever made?

Lil Skies: That’s a good one. I really don’t know honestly. I like “Highs and Lows” a lot. It was showing the reality of my life on a song. I like “Fidget,” it was just a good time. It was fun making that. I had all my bros with me in one house. We had a studio set up downstairs and upstairs, recording every day. That one, we were up. 5 in the morning, yo I want to record. I did that full song in 15 minutes. It was fun, the process of making it.

AllHipHop: Anything else we can look forward to?

Lil Skies: I’m going to drop some videos. I shot two, I’m not sure which one I’ma drop yet. I’m waiting for the footage. I got some other stuff, I won’t say too much. But videos and new music, that’s pretty much what I’m on right now. Dropping the song with the video on all platforms type s###. I want to drop drop drop drop. Shooting videos, because that’s how I came in. I gotta get back to my original recipe. Showing my face more. I don’t like it too much, but I know what I gotta go. I know what the s### is. It’s cool.

AllHipHop: Your videos are lit.

Lil Skies: I guess so yeah. We make something out of nothing, for real.

Rick Ross Offers Advice To Drake After Kendrick Lamar Drops “Euphoria” Diss

Rick Ross advised Drake not to respond to Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Euphoria” on Tuesday (April 30). Rozay, who released his own Drake diss titled “Champagne Moments,” reacted to Kendrick’s song on Instagram Stories.

“Look, white boy, I know we not friends,” Rozay told Drake. “But lemme give you this advice ‘cause you ain’t got nobody ‘round you. Or you ain’t got no real n##### ‘round you. Lemme just put it like that. Ain’t no real n#####. Stop! Don’t respond. You ain’t even peep when the intro came on with the Teddy Pendergrass. That was that Black vibe.”

He continued, “Don’t do it. Don’t go write an eight-minute verse that—I know, n####. [Lil] Yachty, I know you want to get that money. You ain’t wrong, n####. Keep buying them big houses. But I’ma tell you this like a real n####. Ain’t no more BBLs. Ain’t no more ass fillers. Ain’t no more cheek fillers.”

Both Kendrick and Ross questioned Drake’s Blackness on their diss tracks.

“We hate the b###### you f###, ’cause they confuse themself with real women/And notice, I said ‘we,’ it’s not just me, I’m what the culture feelin’/How many more fairytale stories ’bout your life ’til we had enough?/How many more Black features ’til you finally feel that you’re Black enough?” Kendrick rapped on “Euphoria.”

The song concluded with the warning, “We don’t wanna hear you say ‘n####’ no more.”

Ross repeatedly called Drake a “white boy” on “Champagne Moments.”

“You ain’t never want to be a n#### anyway, n####/That’s why you had an operation to make your nose smaller than your father nose, n####,” Ross claimed on his song.

Drake dissed Kendrick and Ross, among others, on “Push Ups.” The battle began when Kendrick fired lyrical shots at Drake on Future and Metro Boomin’s No. 1 hit “Like That.”

Tyrese Accuses Ex-Wife Of Fraud: “I Got Nothing To Lose But My Peace & Sanity”

Tyrese sought the Los Angeles County Superior Court’s help in a dispute with his ex-wife Normal Mitchell Gibson. The actor/singer posted court documents and discussed his legal battle with his wife on Tuesday (April 30).

“I’m finally addressing because I have to… I’ve read your comments so here’s my response,” he wrote on Instagram. “The days of me suffering in silence and living in fear are over….. 167 pages filed in the Los Angeles courthouse 111 Hill Street… No lies and no goofy s###…. Everything in these court docs has real receipts attached….”

Tyrese claimed his ex-wife owed him more than $25,000 for not paying her half of their daughter’s school tuition. He accused his ex-wife of fraud and disobeying court orders.

The Fast & Furious star said his ex-wife “engaged in transactions using other people’s information and accounts.” He recognized her handwriting in the signature of a tuition check allegedly signed by her father.

Tyrese filed a police report over a $2,134 payment for his daughter’s tuition. He suspected his ex-wife contacted the school to authorize the payment without his knowledge or consent. The school refused to reimburse him for it.

“Sadly, when f### s### is done to MEN it doesn’t matter,” he wrote on Instagram. “Blackmail, extortion, defamation, death threats, tax evasion forged signatures, falsified bank statements, domestic and international wire fraud.. Money laundering all the above spelled out…. I got nothing to lose but my peace and sanity… I got it…. was born a man so none of thin these court documents will ever matter….

He added, “Not to worry…. Don’t hold your breath there will be no crying videos uploaded. Never ever forget:.. The lie will always appear to matter more than the TRUTH…”

Tyrese and Norma split in 2009. He remarried years later, but his second marriage also ended in divorce.

EXCLUSIVE: Cesar Pina Tries To Wiggle Out Of Legal Mess With Plea Deal

DJ Envy’s former business partner Cesar Pina entered plea deal negotiations in an investment fraud case. According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Judge Leda Dunn Wettre ordered a continuance to allow prosecutors more time to work out a deal with Pina on Monday (April 29).

“Plea negotiations are currently in progress, and both the United States and the defendant desire additional time to negotiate a plea agreement, which would render grand jury proceedings and a trial in this matter unnecessary,” the order noted. “Thus, the ends of justice served by granting the continuance and preventing any further non-excludable days from passing … outweigh the best interest of the public and the defendant in a speedy trial.”

Pina was arrested for running a multimillion-dollar Ponzi scheme in 2023. He was charged by complaint with one count of wire fraud.

Prosecutors accused Pina of defrauding dozens of investors of millions of dollars. Authorities said he used DJ Envy’s celebrity status to promote real estate ventures controlled by Pina, who started accepting investments from victims in 2017.

“We allege Pina offered a ridiculously high rate of return to investors, then took the millions he got and invested it in himself,” the FBI’s James E. Dennehy said. “History has proven time and again, Ponzi schemes don’t work. The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow eventually runs out. Investors take note – it’s your money, don’t let them steal it.”

DJ Envy was never charged in connection to the investment scam. He denied any wrongdoing.

“Cesar, if he took money, I wasn’t privy to it, nor did I even know,” DJ Envy said. “But I do understand how people feel if they did give him money because I gave him a lot of money that I didn’t see a dollar of return. For anyone to say I was involved, that is totally not true.”

Last year, Pina was released on a $1 million bond. He faces up to 20 years in prison for wire fraud.

Benzino Follows In Stevie J’s Footsteps By Entertaining Boxing Match With 50 Cent

Benzino’s apparent quest to become the first Hip-Hop figure to be awarded with boxing’s Golden Gloves honor has clipped 50 Cent in its path to glory in the ring.

During a recent podcast appearance, Benzino appeared to pick up where Stevie J left off last month, when he challenged 50 Cent to a boxing match in response to the G-Unit mogul trolling him amid his implication in Diddy’s sexual assault lawsuit.

While Benzino and 50 Cent don’t necessarily have any major beef, it didn’t appear to deter the former co-owner of The Source from pointing out why he feels he’s the more formidable fighter.

“Being big don’t mean nothing in boxing, history has shown us that,” Benzino said. “50’s been shot in the face before so that counts. He had to get reconstructive surgery; he’s not gonna be able to take any old punch in his face.”

He added, “If we were to box in a boxing match and I were to train for a couple months, hell yeah I could box 50. I’m gonna pick me every time.”

Benzino’s argument that he could put the beats on 50 Cent isn’t completely delusional, considering he won his Official Celebrity Boxing bout against Mark Rizzoti in 2022. And he literally knocked bro out, so 50 Cent and Eminem might want to think twice before entertaining a match with Benzino.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Euphoria” Is Drake’s Hell – Check Out The Hardest Bars

Kendrick Lamar unleashed his Drake diss track “Euphoria” on Tuesday (April 30). The song added more drama to Kendrick and Drake’s already contentious battle with pointed attacks against Drizzy.

Here are the highlights from Kendrick’s response to Drake’s “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

“His daddy a killer, he wanna be junior, they must’ve forgot the s### that they done/Dementia must run in his family, but let it get shaky/I park your son”

Kendrick’s diss track kicked into high gear close to the two-minute mark with shots at Drake’s family. K. Dot delivered a slick reference to Parkinson’s Disease.

“There’s no accent you can sell me/Yeah, Cole and Aubrey know I’m a selfish n####/The crown is heavy, huh/I pray they my real friends, if not, I’m YNW Melly”

Kendrick threw a jab at Drake’s penchant for using a variety of accents and added a vicious nod to YNW Melly for good measure. Melly is accused of murdering his two friends in 2018.

“We hate the b###### you f###, ’cause they confuse themselves with real women/And notice, I said ‘We,’ it’s not just me, I’m what the culture feelin’/How many more fairytale stories ’bout your life ’til we had enough?/How many more Black features ’til you finally feel that you Black enough/I like Drake with the melodies, I don’t like Drake when he act tough/You gon’ make a n#### bring back Puff, let me see if Chubbs really crash something”

Kendrick positioned himself as the voice of the culture in his critiques of Drake. K. Dot also joined Rick Ross in questioning Drake’s Blackness while throwing in a reference to a past incident in which Diddy punched Drake.

“Surprised you wanted that feature request/You know that we got some s### to address/I even hate when you say the word ‘n####,’ but that’s just me, I guess/Some s### just cringeworthy, you ain’t even gotta be diva I guess”

Kendrick revealed Drake’s past request for a collaboration, providing another intriguing detail about their complicated history.

“I’m knowin’ they call you The Boy, but where is a man? ‘Cause I ain’t see him yet/Matter of fact, I ain’t even bleed him yet, can I bleed him? Bet/When I see you stand by Sexyy Red, I believe you see two bad b######/I believe you don’t like women, that’s real competition, you might pop ass with ’em”

Kendrick mocked Drake’s association with Sexyy Red to question the Canadian star’s manhood. And depending on your interpretation, K. Dot’s lines can be seen as jabs at Drizzy’s misogyny or sexuality.

“Let’s speak on percentage, show me your splits/I make sure I double back with you/You was signed to a n#### that’s signed to a n#### that said he was signed to that n####/Try cease and desist on the ‘Like That’ record/Hoe, what? You ain’t like that record/’Back To Back,’ I like that record/I’ma get back to that for the record”

Kendrick responded to claims about his record deal from Drake’s “Push Ups” diss. K. Dot pointed out how Drizzy signed with Lil Wayne’s Young Money label, which was a subsidiary of Cash Money Records and Universal Music Group. K. Dot also referenced Drake allegedly sending cease and desists, which Rick Ross mentioned as his reason for dissing Drizzy.

“Why would I call around tryna get dirt on n#####?/Y’all think all of my life is rap?/That’s hoe s###, I got a son to raise, but I can see you know nothin’ ’bout that”

Kendrick bashed Drake for being a bad father. Drake was famously accused of hiding his child by Pusha T.

“It ain’t 20 v. one, it’s one vs. 20 if I gotta smack n##### that write with you/Yeah, bring ’em out too, I clean ’em out too/Tell Beam that he better stay right with you”

Drake criticized multiple rappers for ganging up on him on “Push Ups.” Kendrick fired back with more ghostwriter accusations, naming Beam as one of the men allegedly writing for Drake.

“Yeah, OVO n##### is dick riders/Tell ’em run to America to imitate heritage, they can’t imitate this violence/What I learn, n##### don’t like the West Coast/And I’m fine with it, I push the line with it/Pick a n#### off one at a time with it/We can be on a three-hour time difference/Don’t speak on the family, crodie/It can get deep in the family, crodie/Talk about me and my family, crodie/Someone go bleed in your family, crodie”

Kendrick trolled Drake’s appropriation of gang culture. K. Dot repeatedly used the word “crodie” since it’s Toronto slang and the name of Drake’s cat.
