Detroit’s Ashwin Gane Unleashes ‘Twilight Tales’ & Redefines Trap Music

Ashwin Gane isn’t just releasing music. He’s engineering worlds. The Detroit-born, Indian-American phenom is stepping into the spotlight with Twilight Tales, an orchestral trap odyssey set to drop August 1, signaling his arrival as one of the boldest new voices in the genre.

With more than 6.5 million streams, 5 million video views, and a growing fanbase that’s packing out venues, Ashwin’s doing it all without a major label, industry co-sign or compromise.

“This isn’t just an EP,” Gane tells AllHipHop. “Every track is a chapter. Every lyric is a strategy. It’s a blueprint for survival in a cold world.”

He’s got 808s fused with haunting pianos, ghostlike choirs and auteur-level visuals – Christopher Nolan vibes. Twilight Tales isn’t just an EP. It’s a full-blown cinematic anthology in 10 parts. Each track builds on the previous track.

“I made this for those who lead quietly and win loudly,” he said.

Leading the charge is “Leeches,” a gut-punch of a single that dissects betrayal with bone-chilling precision. The music video, which racked up over 160,000 views in 10 days, looks more like a short film than your average trap visual. “Energy” has over a million views on YouTube. The EP includes the Billboard-charting “Regret It”, unreleased heaters like “Drowning” and “All Away,” and two cinematic remixes that push the boundaries of production and emotion.

If the music wasn’t enough, Ashwin is taking Twilight Tales to the people. He’s currently hitting Texas and Oklahoma on Phora’s Yours Truly: Texas Takeover Tour with dates in El Paso, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, OKC, and Dallas. And on August 16-17, he returns home for Ashwin Gane Presents Dream Cruise, an immersive live experience in Detroit.

And his reach is only growing. This fall, Gane will bring his cinematic trap saga to the NFL and NBA with scheduled halftime performances at the Chargers’ SoFi Stadium and the Clippers’ Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

Ashwin co-created Twilight Tales with Grammy-winning writer Poo Bear and R&B disruptor Justin Love.

He calls it “Mythic Trap,” a new genre altogether. With roots in Detroit and cultural bloodlines that stretch to South Asia, Ashwin Gane is positioning himself not just as a cultural architect.

Ashwin Gane is offering listeners a full cinematic experience, one chapter at a time.

Twilight Tales drops August 1 on all platforms. Pre-save it here.

Shannon Sharpe’s Rumored Pay-Out Allegations Have Been Revealed

There are numerous unconfirmed rumors and reports that Shannon Sharpe paid his accuser about $23 million smackeroos. I don’t know what happened between the two adults, but it was a serious jam for Sharpe. Why? To me, that’s Diddy money, and Diddy money gives guilty vibes.

READ ALSO: Jim Jones & Shannon Sharpe Rage At Each Other Over Nas

I don’t know any other details on that, but the fact that he paid that money that fast is not a good sign. The brother is definitely paid, but gotdamn! $23 million? I cannot wrap my brain around that. I know these guys are out here making a ton of money, but that is absurd. I think I would need to fight back on this one. But who am I? A “brokey” like Latto raps about.

The bigger question is how this impacts his future opportunities to make money, which could be severely inhibited as well. But he’s back on ESPN. His podcast life seems to be going pretty well, but I’m not sure. He may be raking in the dough just enough to not give a damn about $23 million.

Meanwhile, his accuser has a new lease on life.

Gabriella Zuniga reportedly retired from OnlyFans shortly after the settlement and stated that she’s excited about future projects. Sounds like a grift to me.

Zuniga was seeking $50 million. She alleged rape, sexual assault, emotional distress, non-consensual recordings and more. There were those insane threats during a relationship that began in 2023. Attorney Tony Buzbee negotiated the deal, saying after “protracted and respectful negotiations, we have reached a mutually agreed upon resolution,” and the lawsuit will be dismissed with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled. Sheesh.

Settlement terms were not disclosed publicly, but credible reports suggest the amount likely exceeded $10 million and may have been significantly higher. This is where the rumor gets some legs.

Sharpe initially issued a video denial, calling the allegations a “shakedown” and denying all wrongdoing. But he is shaking if it was a shakedown. May God bless everyone and we just keep moving forward.

JAY-Z’s Dream For Manhattan Casino Inches Forward Despite Opposition

Jay-Z made an appearance at a July 23 committee hearing hosted by the New York State Gaming Commission in hopes of winning his bid to get a Caesars Palace built in Times Square.

Representing Roc Nation alongside Caesars Entertainment and SL Green, the Hip-Hop mogul pitched the project as a win for the city’s economy and culture.

He emphasized the importance of cross-borough partnerships and referenced his experience in sports entertainment as a foundation for the project’s viability.

The proposed development at 1515 Broadway includes a massive luxury hotel, gaming floor, restaurants, nightclubs and a wellness center.

Backers estimate the project would generate over $7 billion in tax revenue and inject $26.7 billion into local businesses.

Despite those promises, opposition remains strong among Broadway unions, landlords, and trade associations, who argue that the casino would alter the character of Times Square and destabilize its entertainment economy.

Last month, on June 26, demonstrators packed Father Duffy Square, rallying under the banner of the No Times Square Casino coalition.

The group, comprising neighborhood organizations, community advocates, and theater professionals, criticized the casino bid as a corporate land grab that would disrupt the area’s identity and siphon business from the Broadway industry.

“These people want to take what we have spent years cultivating and profit off of us, decimating our audiences and the community we hold so dear. This is the one casino proposed location that would devastate a thriving industry that would support 100,000 jobs,” said Jason Laks, president of The Broadway League, according to Playbill.

The project remains under review, with final decisions expected from the state’s gaming regulators in the coming months.

Blueface Gets Roasted Online After Posting Shocking Prison Pics

Blueface dropped new photos from behind bars at Lancaster State Prison on Saturday (July 12), and the internet had plenty to say—especially about his face tattoos.

A post shared by Blueface (@bluefasebabyy)

The rapper’s latest prison snapshots, posted to Instagram, quickly lit up his comments section with disbelief, jokes and confusion.

One user wrote, “N#### look like a school desk.” Another asked, “Why would he do that to his face” while a third chimed in, “He’ll definitely be coming home to Chrisean. I’m sure she’ll be the ONLY one who’d find this attractive now.”

The photos come as speculation swirls around Blueface’s potential release.

Earlier this month, his father shared an update on Instagram, writing, “It’s been a long road y’all with good behavior he’s coming home next month about 35 lbs heavier.”

His mother, Karlissa Saffold Harvey, has already started planning a “coming home” party in anticipation of his return.

This latest post follows the ongoing saga between Blueface and Chrisean Rock, whose turbulent relationship has played out publicly for months.

After exchanging vows during a jailhouse phone call, the two split repeatedly.

At one point, Blueface had Chrisean evicted from his home after learning about her new relationship. His father packed up her belongings and moved them into storage.

Despite the eviction, Blueface later allowed Chrisean and their son to return temporarily, citing her lack of housing.

The two continued to argue over parenting and finances, with Blueface demanding she stay home and Chrisean insisting she needed to work.

Chrisean has since said she no longer trusts Blueface and has chosen to “disassociate” from him.

The drama escalated further when Chrisean claimed Kehlani told her she had once been intimate with Blueface—an allegation Kehlani strongly denied.

Blueface remains incarcerated at Lancaster State Prison as of Sunday (July 13).

Cardi B Fires Back At BBL Smell Rumors In No-Filter Rant

Cardi B shut down viral gossip about her body in a no-holds-barred Twitter Spaces rant Friday (July 11) after rumors swirled that her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) had a foul odor and allegedly drove a wedge between her and boyfriend Stefon Diggs.

“First of all, I don’t know who made that up,” Cardi said during the X (Twitter) Spaces chat. “But b####, that’s you … That’s on you, b####. That could never be me.”

The speculation kicked off earlier the week after Cardi wiped Diggs from her Instagram, prompting online chatter that the NFL star dumped her over what some posts called a “BBL smell.”

Some of the more viral claims quoted Diggs as saying her body “smelled like a trash bag” or “garbage truck juice.” Diggs, however, publicly denied ever saying anything of the sort, calling the rumors “cap.”

Cardi didn’t hold back as she addressed the claims head-on, reminding listeners of her past and her hygiene standards.

“B####, I was a f###### stripper; you had to smell good all the time,” she said. “I was raised by women, like please.”

50 Cent Trolls Lil Meech Over Allegations He Made Friend Take Rap For Gun & Drug Charges

50 Cent dragged Lil Meech through the mud this week after reposting claims that the BMF actor pinned gun and drug charges on a sleeping friend—then apologized and offered to pay him back.

The trolling began when 50 Cent shared a screenshot of Michael Rainey Jr.‘s Instagram feed, featuring highlights that included the Power Book II: Ghost star ringing the bell at the New York Stock Exchange and modeling for Tommy Hilfiger.

In the caption, 50 took a jab at Meech, writing, “I’m proud of you @michaelraineyjr. I looked at your page, oh s###! LOL SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON’T USE DRUGS, AND SPEND ALL YOUR MONEY ON CHROME HEART JEANS.”

By early Saturday morning, 50 Cent doubled down, reposting footage and screenshots from an alleged former friend of Lil Meech who claimed Meech let him take the fall during a police stop.

One clip appeared to show bodycam footage of a search, while another post featured alleged audio of Meech apologizing for the incident.

50 didn’t hold back. He mocked Meech—whom he now calls “Meme”—with another caption that read, “SMH MEME is a private school kid he ain’t from the streets. oh my God, he didn’t hear the director say cut !”

50 Cent Taunts LiL Meech Over Rehab Claims

This isn’t the first time 50 Cent has gone after Meech. Their relationship soured in 2025 after years of collaboration on the BMF series. Since then, 50 has taken repeated shots at Meech online and in interviews.

He once posted a photo of Meech slumped in a wheelchair, soundtracked with Amy Winehouse’s “Rehab,” and claimed he had to send Meech to treatment during filming. “High as f### on set,” 50 said, blaming Big Meech—Meech’s father—for ignoring the issue.

50 also accused Big Meech of being an absent parent, claiming he never paid for acting classes and wore his son’s jewelry.

The feud stemmed from Big Meech appearing in a video with Rick Ross, one of 50’s longtime rivals, promoting Big Meech’s “Welcome Home” concert.

50 Cent has repeatedly stated that his efforts to help the Flenory family were taken for granted and that Meech was being “used” by others and left to fend for himself.

Hitman Howie Tee, Pioneering Hip-Hop Producer Behind Special Ed & Chubb Rock, Dies

Brooklyn’s own Hitman Howie Tee helped define the sound of late ’80s and early ’90s Hip-Hop, has died. The cause of death has not been revealed at the time of this writing.

Born Howard Thompson in London, he was raised in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Howie Tee was 61.

Questlove of The Roots sang Howie Tee’s praises.

“I feel like Howie was such an unsung MONSTER of a producer during hip hip’s early development——I know De La was a life changing moment for us but Howie was a cat who definitely crossed the aisle when it came to unusual music: I mean for Special Ed he put The Beatles & Ripple in the same box I was mind blown. Not to mention all those little cartoon & showtunes interstitials on “Bang Zoom” & “Buggin”

Mixing in tv themes & Mel Blanc & showtunes showing Pop ear candy over the hardest beats.

Truly an unsung hero.”

Hitman Howie Tee made his mark as one of Hip-Hop’s most versatile, influential and low-key sonic architects. He was a master of beats and a king of turntablism.

Furthermore, Howie Tee crafted hits that helped launch the careers of artists like Special Ed, Chubb Rock, The Real Roxanne, and U.T.F.O. He shaped a generation of Hip-Hop fans, artists and producers.

In the early 1980s, Howie Tee emerged as a member of electro-rap group CDIII, which dropped a pair of singles on Prelude Records. He soon shifted gears to another bubbling rap act out of BK.

A production partnership with U.T.F.O.’s Kangol Kid pushed him into true prominence. Together, they introduced the world to Whistle, a trio whose 1985 single “(Nothing Serious) Just Buggin’” became a global b-boy anthem.

Soon thereafter, Howie Tee became the in-house producer at Select Records. It was there that he created his most recognizable songs – Special Ed’s breakout single “I Got It Made” and Chubb Rock’s dance hit “Treat ‘Em Right.”

Both tracks climbed the charts and proved Howie Tee could balance the streets with commercial appeal.

By 1991, Howie Tee struck platinum pop success. He co-produced the Billboard Hot 100-topping “I Wanna Sex You Up” by Color Me Badd.

The record’s style helped set the tone for early ’90s R&B / Hip-Hop fusion. He would later produce or remix tracks for artists like Madonna, Heavy D, M### Priest and Little Shawn, among others.

Howie Tee also served as a mentor, helping shape the next wave of Hip-Hop creators. Most notably, he guided a young Spencer Bellamy, who later found cult fame under the moniker East Flatbush Project with the underground smash “Tried by 12.”

Though often overlooked by mainstream media, Howie Tee’s fingerprints are all over the golden age of Hip-Hop. His sample-driven, funk-rooted beats were the backdrop to some of the culture’s most formative records.

At the time of publication, details surrounding his death have not been publicly disclosed.

Eve Sets Record Straight On Husband Maximillion Cooper’s Billionaire Status

Eve tackled speculation about her marriage and lifestyle head-on during a recent interview, clarifying speculation over her husband Maximillion Cooper’s alleged billionaire status and that her so-called “soft life” isn’t something she stumbled into—it’s something she earned.

The Grammy-winning rapper and actress, who married the British entrepreneur in 2014, told Angie Martinez that people often assume her luxurious lifestyle is solely due to her husband’s wealth. She made it clear that’s not the case.

“It’s not just soft life because of the man I’m with,” Eve said. “Because some people have this idea of what my life is because of this man or whatever. It’s because I f###### worked hard on my own s###.”

Cooper, best known as the founder of the Gumball 3000 rally, has built a successful business empire, but Eve wanted to set the record straight about his financial status.

“I need to clear that up,” she added. “He’s not a billionaire. He ain’t broke, but I ain’t broke either so I’m not gonna be with a broke dude.”

Eve admitted that before meeting Cooper, she was used to doing everything on her own. She ultimately had to unlearn that mindset to build a healthy relationship.

The couple began dating in 2010 and tied the knot four years later. Eve now splits her time between the United States and the United Kingdom, juggling motherhood, personal projects and family life.

EXCLUSIVE: Doctor At Center Of War Between Roc Nation CEO, Daughter, Fights To Save His Rep

Dr. Daniel Bober is seeking to toss out a lawsuit filed by Demoree Hadley, daughter of Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez, after he authorized her involuntary psychiatric evaluation in Florida under the Baker and Marchman Acts.

In a motion filed in court, Bober asked for all claims against him to be dismissed with prejudice, arguing the allegations are legally hollow and based on speculation.

The psychiatrist was contacted by Perez, who feared her daughter might harm herself. Bober then spoke with multiple individuals who described Hadley’s behavior as erratic and concerning.

Based on those accounts, Bober initiated an involuntary psychiatric evaluation under Florida’s Baker Act, which permits authorities to detain individuals who may pose a danger to themselves or others.

Hadley’s lawsuit accuses Bober of conspiring with her mother, violating her civil rights, committing medical malpractice, misusing the Marchman Act, and causing emotional distress.

The complaint also alleges Bober was financially influenced by Perez.

Bober’s legal team pushed back, stating the claims lack factual support and fail to meet the legal standards required under Florida law.

“The complaint is speculative and conclusory,” the motion reads, arguing that Hadley failed to follow the necessary pre-suit procedures for a medical negligence claim.

The motion also argues that Bober is not a government actor and therefore cannot be sued under federal civil rights law. It says he acted in good faith under a state statute, which could qualify him for immunity.

On the Marchman Act claim, which deals with substance abuse treatment, Bober’s attorneys say he played no role in filing any petition and is protected by law from liability.

As for the emotional distress claim, the motion says the accusations are too vague and the alleged conduct doesn’t meet the legal standard for outrageous behavior.

Bober is also asking the court to strike several statements from the lawsuit, including claims that he was paid by Perez, that he is a “rogue doctor,” and that he should lose his medical license. His team says those are “scandalous, irrelevant and unsupported.”

The motion further seeks to eliminate Hadley’s request for attorney’s fees, arguing there’s no legal basis for them under the claims presented.

The court has not yet ruled on the motion.

Machine Gun Kelly Wanted To Name His Child “Kid”

Machine Gun Kelly picked the name Saga Blade for his baby girl with Megan Fox after striking out on naming his first kid something wild.

The rapper-turned-pop-punk rocker revealed he finally got his way in the baby-name game after losing the battle years ago with his first daughter Casie’s mom.

MGK explained during TODAY’s “8 Before 8” segment and kept it honest about his past baby-naming flop.

“Well, I lost the first one and won the second one,” he said. “When you are 18 years old and you go to her mother and you go, ‘What if we named our kid “Kid?”’ I get why she’s like, ‘Hey man, shut up.’”

So yeah, dude seriously tried to name his kid Kid. And he stood by it, too.

“That was one of the names,” he added. “I was like, ‘If her name was Kid, that would be sick.’”

Fast forward to now, MGK and Megan welcomed their daughter back in March but kept things low-key until June, when he posted a sweet ukulele moment on Instagram and revealed her name in the caption.

“Saga Blade Fox-Baker thank you for the ultimate gift \@meganfox,” he wrote, keeping the baby’s face off-camera but dropping the name bomb.

Later on, he broke down the meaning behind the name Saga, saying, “She is an epic story. That’s what Saga means.”

So, while “Kid” didn’t make the cut, Saga Blade sounds like she’s straight out of a Marvel movie—and MGK is clearly proud of that win.

Pete Davidson Regretted His Dave Chappelle Tattoo So Bad He Covered It With Giant Shark

Pete Davidson got real about one of the dumbest things he’s ever inked on his body—a tattoo inspired by Dave Chappelle that he now calls “so humiliating.”

While chowing down on spicy wings during a recent stop on Hot Ones, Pete told host Sean Evans about a wild moment from his early stand-up days.

He was around 19 or 20, doing a set, when he spotted Chappelle in the crowd. That alone made his brain short-circuit.

“This was before (Dave) was back, so seeing him was like crazy, going ‘What the f**k?'” Pete said, still sounding kinda shook. After the set,

Chappelle gave him props and some advice that Pete clearly took way too literally.

“He goes, ‘Jokes come and go, but swag is forever.’ And guess who got that tattooed on his chest?” Spoiler alert: it was Pete.

Looking back, he’s not proud of it.

“So humiliating,” he said, admitting he never told anyone before now. Eventually, he decided to erase the whole thing by slapping a massive Jaws shark tattoo right over it.

“I covered it with Jaws because I needed something huge to black it out,” he explained. “I just put a giant shark over it. That’s pretty bad, dude—but he was like my idol. He still is, but that’s so dumb. I could’ve just told people he said that to me.”

Pete’s been on a mission to laser off a bunch of his old ink, and according to him, it’s been brutal on his wallet and his skin.

“I have to plan it in between work because it’s a six-week healing process each time you get one removed,” he told Variety earlier this year. “So, each tattoo is 10 to 12 sessions. That’s 60 weeks of your life right there on just one tattoo to remove… It’s pretty horrible. It’s like putting your arm on a grill and burning off a layer, and then you gotta do maintenance and let it heal properly. And it’s pretty tough. It sucks, I’m not gonna lie.”

Pete’s currently out promoting his new heist flick The Pickup, which hits theaters August 6.

Man Who Allegedly Ordered Hit On Young Dolph Rejects Plea Deal

Hernandez Govan, the man accused of orchestrating the 2021 slaying of Memphis rapper Young Dolph, has turned down a plea deal and will face trial in two weeks.

Govan declined a plea offer during a court appearance on July 28, opting instead to contest charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Prosecutors allege Govan was the architect of the deadly plot that led to Young Dolph’s fatal shooting at Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies in Memphis.

The court has not disclosed why the trial date was moved.

The case has already seen several convictions and plea agreements. Justin Johnson, known as “Straight Drop,” was convicted of murder, conspiracy and weapons charges.

He received a life sentence plus 50 years. Cornelius Smith pleaded guilty and agreed to testify against Johnson and Govan. In court, Smith claimed the hit was ordered by “Big Jook”, the late brother of rapper Yo Gotti, for $100,000.

Smith testified that he and Johnson were promised $40,000 each but received only $800. He also told the court that Yo Gotti’s label, CMG, covered his legal fees. “Big Jook” was killed in January 2024.

Smith remains in custody awaiting sentencing and is expected to testify during Govan’s trial.

Another man, Jermarcus Johnson, admitted to helping the suspects evade arrest and was sentenced to probation.

Govan is the only defendant still awaiting trial in connection with the high-profile killing.

His trial is now scheduled to begin on August 18, 2025.

EXCLUSIVE: Battle Over Snoop Dogg’s Death Row Intensifies: Harry-O’s Ex-Wife Tries To Shut Down Label

Lydia Harris is taking her decades-long fight over Death Row Records to federal court, asking a judge to block Snoop Dogg from using the label’s name and assets without settling a $107 million judgment she won nearly 20 years ago.

Harris, the ex-wife of Michael “Harry-O” Harris, filed a motion demanding that Snoop’s company, Death Row Records LLC, be held financially responsible for the unpaid 2005 award.

That judgment, issued by a California state court, found that Death Row Records Inc. and former CEO Suge Knight committed fraud and malicious misconduct. The ruling included $60 million in punitive damages.

Snoop acquired Death Row’s assets in a 2022 bankruptcy sale and relaunched the label under a new LLC.

Harris claims the deal was made without her knowledge or approval, violating her legal rights and enriching Snoop’s company at her expense. She is asking the court to impose a constructive trust on the brand and apply successor liability to the new entity.

The legal battle goes back to the early days of Death Row.

In 1989, Harry-O allegedly invested $1.5 million to help launch the label in exchange for a 50% stake. When the company exploded in the 1990s, Harris filed suit 2002 on his behalf while he was incarcerated.

That lawsuit led to the massive 2005 judgment, but the Harriases never received a dime. Ownership of Death Row changed hands several times before Snoop acquired the brand.

Harris now accuses the current ownership of using bankruptcy and corporate maneuvering to dodge the court’s order. Her latest motion also includes civil RICO allegations, claiming wire fraud and bankruptcy manipulation were used to avoid payment.

She’s seeking declaratory and injunctive relief to stop any further use of the Death Row name until the judgment is resolved.

Adding another layer to the conflict, Harry-O—who was granted clemency by President Donald Trump in 2021 after serving over 30 years in prison—is now working as the chief operating officer of Snoop’s version of Death Row.

Snoop’s legal team has pushed back, arguing the case is too old and accusing Harris of “bad faith litigation and harassment.”

The federal court has not yet ruled on Harris’s motion.

EXCLUSIVE: Lil Uzi Allegedly Beat Crap Out Of Man In Broad Daylight Who Now Fears For His Life

Lil Uzi Vert allegedly orchestrated a brutal street attack in Manhattan last spring that left a man injured and terrified, according to a civil lawsuit filed in New York.

The complaint, submitted by Vaughn Trotman, accuses the Hip-Hop star of initiating a violent assault after Trotman snapped a photo of Lil Uzi’s car on Broadway near 27th Street on April 17, 2024.

Trotman claims Lil Uzi yelled a racial slur and directed his security to target him, shouting, “get that man in the blue,” referencing the jacket Trotman wore that day.

“[Lil Uzi] then emerged from his vehicle and descended upon [Vaughn] as well while [Vaughn] was being choked, kicked, and punched,” said Trotman’s attorney Jack Berry, Esq.

The lawsuit alleges Woods personally joined in the attack, hurling insults while his team physically assaulted Trotman. The incident, according to the filing, escalated quickly and left the plaintiff with lasting physical damage.

Trotman says the beatdown caused serious injuries to his neck, back and right shoulder, which later required surgery. He also alleges emotional trauma and lost income due to his inability to work after the incident.

Following the alleged assault, Lil Uzi reportedly acknowledged damaging Trotman’s phone and then tossed money into the crowd.

“[Lil Uzi] unrolled his window, acknowledged that he broke [Vaughn’s] phone, and then, to add insult to literal injury, threw a handful of hundred-dollar bills into the crowd while calling [Vaughn] an expletive. [Lil Uzi] drove away from the scene of the attack,” Berry said.

The lawsuit names Woods, his company Uzivert LLC and several unidentified members of his entourage. It accuses them of assault, battery and negligence.

Trotman’s legal team says their client now lives in fear and wants accountability through the court system. Lil Uzi and his representatives have not issued a public response to the allegations.

Sha’Carri Richardson Arrested For Allegedly Beating Boyfriend

Sha’Carri Richardson got cuffed at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport after a run-in with her boyfriend, Christian Coleman, that ended with her booked on a domestic violence charge.

Cops say she pushed him around, tossed headphones at him and made a whole scene near a TSA checkpoint. The whole thing popped off Sunday night (July 27) while the sprinter duo was going through airport security.

According to the police report, Richardson shoved Coleman more than once, causing him to stumble into a column. Then she allegedly launched a pair of headphones at him.

Security footage reportedly shows Coleman trying to walk away from the drama, but Richardson kept the contact going. Cops said she was the aggressor in the situation, and she ended up getting slapped with a fourth-degree domestic violence assault charge.

Coleman didn’t press charges and told officers he didn’t want to be listed as a victim. But that didn’t stop the arrest.

Richardson was hauled off to the South Correctional Entity jail in Des Moines, Washington. She got out the next day after spending about 19 hours behind bars.

Despite the chaos, both athletes still showed up at the U.S. Track and Field Championships not long after, although Richardson pulled out of some events.

The pair has been together for over two years, with their relationship becoming public in recent months.

So far, USA Track & Field hasn’t said a word about the incident.

Donald Trump Says Pardon For Diddy Is “More Likely A No”—50 Cent Has Jokes

President Donald Trump mentioned Diddy during his latest Newsmax sit-down with Rob Finnerty, and let’s just say Diddy shouldn’t hold his breath for that pardon.

Trump flat-out admitted it’s “more likely a no” when asked if he’d consider giving the Bad Boy boss a second chance.

“I’d say so,” Trump said when Finnerty asked if a pardon was off the table. “He essentially, I guess, is sort of half-innocent… It makes it more difficult to proceed.”

Trump didn’t totally slam the door, but he made it clear he was not really feeling Diddy.

He mentioned he used to be cool with Diddy back in the day — said they got along and Diddy “seemed like a nice guy.” But once Trump ran for president, everything shifted.

“Probably, you know, I was very friendly with him. I got along with him great, and he seemed like a nice guy. I didn’t know him well, but when I ran for office, he was very hostile,” President Trump said. “It’s hard, you know, like, we’re human beings and we don’t like to have things cloud our judgment, right? But when you knew someone and you were fine and then you run for office, and he made some terrible statements – so, I don’t know, it’s more difficult.”

Translation: Diddy talked trash, now Trump’s not feeling generous.

As for Diddy, Trump said he’s waiting to see what happens at the mogul’s October sentencing before making anything official.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent is loving every second of this. The “Power” creator wasted no time roasting Diddy again online, clowning the idea that Trump would ever let him slide.

“Can you believe he thought he was getting pardoned. No, Sir, you are not. You said very nasty things. I told you i was gonna tell him what you said Brother Love. Now don’t forget all the Nasty things you said 😆LOL,” 50 posted.

50’s been on this mission for months, blowing up old clips of Diddy dragging Trump.

One of the posts featured Diddy saying, “If Trump gets elected, I really do believe in my heart there’ll be a race war.”

Another clip had Diddy saying, “White men like Trump need to be exiled.”

Diddy’s legal team reportedly tried to make their case to the White House, but with sentencing still months away and Trump sounding cold on the idea, things aren’t looking great.

Faizon Love AKA Big Worm Heads To Trial For Smashing Woman’s Head With Credit Card Reader

Faizon Love is set to stand trial in January 2026 after allegedly hurling a credit card reader at a hotel clerk’s head during a heated confrontation over a reservation gone wrong at a San Diego hotel.

The Friday actor, widely recognized for his role as Big Worm, is facing felony assault charges tied to the August 2024 incident.

According to court documents, Love became irate after learning the hotel was fully booked, despite having a reservation through a third-party app. The situation escalated when he allegedly yanked the credit card terminal from the front desk and threw it at a female employee, striking her on the right side of her head and shattering her glasses.

The woman, who has chosen to remain anonymous, sought medical attention and was diagnosed with a concussion and a visible bump behind her right ear.

She later filed a civil lawsuit against Love, accusing him of assault, battery, negligence and emotional distress. The suit seeks damages for medical expenses and ongoing trauma.

“Mr. Love again was just going off on repeatedly cussing them out,” the clerk testified during a hearing earlier this week. “Every other word was a cuss word, and it was getting louder.”

She added that after she told him, “that’s enough,” Love “pulled the credit card machine off and threw it at my direction.”

The San Diego District Attorney’s Office filed criminal charges in late 2024, and Love was arraigned in early 2025. The trial is scheduled to begin in January 2026.

Faizon Love Hints At “Last Friday” Return

Meanwhile, Love’s name has also resurfaced in Hollywood circles. Ice Cube recently confirmed that the long-awaited final installment of the Friday series, titled Last Friday, is in development.

The film is set in 2025 and may include cameo appearances from original cast members, including Love’s character Big Worm.

Adding fuel to the speculation, Love posted a cryptic message on Instagram on Tuesday (July 29), sharing an image of a vintage telephone with the caption “Guess who just got the call…” and tagged Ice Cube.

However, the post also included a tag for Clipse, leaving followers puzzled about his true intentions.

Papoose’s Relationship With Claressa Shields Might Be Delaying Remy Ma Divorce…Streets Say

Remy Ma’s Divorce From Papoose Delay May Derail Claressa Shields’ Wedding Plans

Papoose and Claressa Shields are killing it right now. They are a great team and appear to be knocking out wins in the ring and outside of it. But don’t think you are going to hear wedding bells just yet. Remy Ma does not seem to be budging on the divorce papers!

Word on the curb is that Remy is putting up a “Philly shell” divorce defense. According to behind-the-scenes sources, Remy Ma is now reportedly REFUSING to sign those divorce docs unless every coin connected to Pap’s new “situation” is accounted for. Seems like she is trying to get to the money Pap has recently acquired. That means management, songwriting, production and anything he is doing with Claressa Shields. This is what I am hearing.

For those that did not know: Pap is now allegedly managing his boxing boo. He is also apparently behind her musical dreams too. We’ve seen her rap a bit here and there, but I was not sure she wanted to rap rap. Well, apparently she does. And, Pap is her behind-the-scenes “executive,” basically attached to her whole”bag.” This all sounds a bit weird to me. I am not a divorce expert, but they are done. If he had nothing with you…he got nothing.

Just last year, after the break-up, Remy said Papoose was broke and “living off her” before she went to jail. “this plot twist feels extra spicy. And THEN Remy said, and I quote: “Why are you attaching yourself to this 47-year-old man that doesn’t have anything going, has no career, no job, no income except for the income that he’s claiming off of you?,” he said, talking to Claressa.

Now, it seems like Claressa has adjusted his role, saying he was not her manager. Pap posted, “Glad I’m able to add value from a behind the scenes executive standpoint.” OK. I see what’s happening and that is necessary. By New Jersey divorce law, where they were married, she could be entitled to a piece of whatever he’s earning right now. I am not sure how far this will go, but Pap will need a great lawyer.

This could be drawn way out in a way that could be a nightmare for both Pap and Claressa. Some say Remy’s dragging this out intentionally. Remember, she is/was with Easy the Block Captain, the battle rap king. This could easily last for another 2–3 years. If Claressa’s trying to get hitched or wants a baby, she might have to hold tight

For the record, we love all parties. I hope this works out soon!

EXCLUSIVE: Judge Shuts Down Jay-Z’s Attempt To Get Lawyer Fees From His Alleged “Son” – For Now

Jay-Z tried to get his legal bills covered by the guy claiming to be his long-lost kid, but the judge hit pause on that move… for now.

The rap billionaire’s lawyers asked the court to make Rymir Satterthwaite cough up some cash after he pulled the plug on his paternity lawsuit.

But the judge wasn’t buying it because Team Hov didn’t bother to explain why Rymir should pay. They’ve got 30 days to try again with a real argument. If they don’t, the whole thing gets tossed for good.

This all blew up after Rymir, who’s been saying for years that Jay-Z is his biological father, dropped his attempt to force the rapper to take a DNA test to prove he’s his dad.

A post shared by Official Rymir Satterthwaite (@rymir_is_here)

Rymir said it was a “strategic move” and claimed celebrity power games were blocking his shot at justice.

He also made it clear he’s not chasing money—he just wants the truth out.

The judge had a hearing lined up to go over Jay-Z’s request to get the case dismissed, but since Rymir bailed, that got canceled too.

Still, about 90 minutes after Rymir pulled out, Jay-Z’s lawyers hit back with a legal brief asking the court to shut the case down for good and cover his court costs.

That filing came with a laundry list of reasons why the case should never have been filed in the first place, saying the claims were either vague, legally weak, or already shot down before.

Jay-Z’s team also argued that Rymir’s legal crusade has been dragging on since 2010 and has been repeatedly dismissed by judges.

They say it’s all part of a long-running pattern of harassment by Rymir and his godmother.

Even though this lawsuit’s been dropped, Rymir isn’t done. On Instagram, he made it clear he’s still coming for the truth, saying this isn’t the end of the road.

Donald Trump May Plunge World Into Nuclear War After Exchange With Former Russian President

Donald Trump threw some serious weight around after Dmitry Medvedev ran his mouth with some wild threats that the U.S. President didn’t take lightly.

The ex-Russian prez, now the deputy chair of Russia’s Security Council, clapped back at Trump’s warning to end the Ukraine war in 10 days or face tariffs.

Medvedev dismissed it as a “game” and said Trump’s pressure moves were “a step toward war.” Not just with Ukraine—he called out the U.S. directly.

Trump wasn’t feeling the war rhetoric and dropped a bomb —figuratively— by revealing he was ordering two U.S. nuclear subs to move into “appropriate regions” on August 1, 2025.

President Trump jumped on Truth Social and fired off: “Just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that… words are very important, and can often lead to unintended consequences.”

He also told Medvedev to “watch his words” and called him a “failed former President of Russia who thinks he’s still president.” Trump added that Medvedev was walking into “very dangerous territory.”

Medvedev didn’t exactly back down. He reminded everyone that Russia still has its Soviet-era “Dead Hand” system—a nuclear retaliation setup that launches even if the top brass gets wiped out.

The whole thing’s been playing out like a global beef on social media, which is crazy considering they’re both tied to countries with massive nuclear arsenals.

Right now, no one knows if those subs Trump moved are actually loaded with nukes or just running on nuclear power. And there’s been zero info on where exactly they went.

EXCLUSIVE: Tory Lanez Clowned Megan Thee Stallion’s Lawyer From Prison Now He’s Gotta Pay Up

Tory Lanez acted crazy during a court-ordered Zoom deposition from behind bars and now a judge says he owes Megan Thee Stallion money for wasting everyone’s time.

A Florida federal judge smacked Lanez with a bill for Megan’s legal fees after he gave the most outrageous deposition tied to her defamation case against Milagro Gramz.

The court ruled he has to cough up the attorney costs from the first round of questioning, where he reportedly mocked her lawyer and acted like the whole thing was a joke.

The deposition was supposed to go down smoothly on April 9. Instead, Tory Lanez acted like it was open mic night at Tehachapi prison. He interrupted questions, threw insults, and even clowned Megan’s lawyer’s hair by begging her to comb it.

The original deposition barely lasted an hour before it got shut down due to Lanez’s antics.

Megan’s legal team filed a motion back in April asking why Lanez shouldn’t be held in contempt for derailing the deposition. The judge gave him until April 30 to respond. He didn’t. He didn’t even ask for more time.

Now, the court ruled Tory Lanez has to pay up for the legal fees Megan racked up trying to get answers out of him. And next time, his deposition will be supervised by a magistrate judge to make sure he doesn’t treat it like a roast session.

Megan’s team is also pushing for the court to assign a special master, on Tory Lanez’s dime, to oversee future testimony.

All of this drama is part of Megan’s case against YouTuber Milagro Gramz, who she claims spread lies about her mental health, substance use and integrity—allegedly with some help from Lanez and his dad.

Last month, Megan Thee Stallion also scored a victory against Milagro Gramz. The blogger was also ordered to pay the rapper’s legal fees to the tune of $5,000 for stalling on getting Meg’s team access to her social media accounts for a forensic analysis.

Cam Newton Roasts Gillie Da Kid on His Birthday—But It’s All Eagles Love

Cam Newton picked the perfect time to roast Gillie Da Kid—his birthday. On Thursday (July 31), the former NFL MVP showed up to the “party” with a blowtorch.

Gillie, a true Philly boy to the core, had something to say last week when Cam Newton made what some would call “constructive criticism” (others would say shade) about Jalen Hurts, the current QB1 of the Philadelphia Eagles and a champion. Hurts did bring a ring back to Philly and Cam… well… didn’t.

Now, if you know Gillie, you know he bleeds green. Disrespect Jalen Hurts? Not on Gillie’s time. You might as well be talking about Wallo. So Gillie snapped. “Jalen did what Cam couldn’t do,” he barked. That Super Blow sore spot was crazy low.

The original vid came out the day before the IG vid, which was on his birthday.

But Cam Newton wasn’t just gonna eat that slice of humble pie. Oh no. He clapped back with a vengeance. He did not even mention Hurts. Cam sidestepped all that and went straight for the man himself. “I can beat you at anything.” YIKES. Football, life, chess, checkers, hopscotch, podcast ratings, arm wrestling … anything. Well, he cannot rap better than Gillie. I know that for sure!

But, roast was surgical. Cam did not even raise his voice. The tone was somewhere between locker room jabs and cold-blooded shade. Gillie’s initial rant had energy, but Cam’s rebuttal had strategy. And it hurt more coming from a dude who’s actually taken NFL snaps and danced in the end zone.

But, it did not stop the celebration.

Gillie turned 49 in style. He was joined by Wallo, exchanging gifts and stacks of cash. They like two uncles at a block party! Oh, and Big Dom, the legendary Eagles security guard brought Gillie the actual Eagles championship trophy to hold. That’s fan royalty. Gillie even sported his custom Eagles ring.

This back-and-forth? Pure entertainment. Nobody’s catching a case. But if you were keeping score, Cam landed a sneaky W with that birthday burn. Still, both these men are solidified winners in their lanes—Gillie in the content world and Cam in the football annals.

But the next time Cam’s in Philly? He might wanna wear neutral colors.

Blonde Beyoncé Dragged Into Sydney Sweeney “Racist” Genes Controversy”

Beyoncé and Sydney Sweeney somehow ended up in the same convo this week after Sweeney’s American Eagle campaign got bashed online for being racially tone-deaf—and a pic of Queen Bey’s Levi’s ad got dragged into the mess.

The chaos started when Sydney Sweeney starred in a new American Eagle promo with a brash pun: “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.”

In the ad, Sweeney says, “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality, and even eye color. My jeans are blue.”

The camera zooms in on her icy blue eyes and denim fit and that’s when the internet lost it. Folks on social media, including Doja Cat, slammed the campaign, calling it creepy and saying it pushed eugenics-era vibes.

Critics said the whole “great genes” thing, paired with Sweeney’s white, blonde, blue-eyed look, felt like a nod to white superiority. Some even called it “Nazi propaganda.”

Now, conservative voices jumped in. Senator Ted Cruz and Fox News contributor Nicole Saphier tried to flip the outrage.

Cruz defended the ad by calling Sweeney “beautiful” and trashed the “left” for pushing woke ideology.

“Wow. Now the crazy Left has come out against beautiful women. I’m sure that will poll well,” Ted Cruz wrote on X.

Saphier posted a still from Beyoncé‘s Levi’s “REIIMAGINE” campaign and wrote, “Just going to leave this pic from Beyoncé Levi’s campaign right here for those saying Sydney Sweeney with her blond hair/denim/sultry look is racist.”

That post lit up timelines with people debating whether Beyoncé’s denim campaign was even comparable. Bey’s Levi’s project is a 2025 reboot of old-school Levi’s ads, including “Launderette,” “Pool Hall” and “Refrigerator.”

It’s a full-on aesthetic tribute to vintage denim culture, not a science lesson about DNA.

Drill, Trap, Cloud Rap: A Guide to Hip hop’s Major Styles

Hip hop has never been just one thing. It started with block parties and breakbeats, but over time, it grew into a mix of styles that each reflect different places, stories, and sounds. From the early days of old school rap to the rise of trap, drill, and grime, every subgenre has added something to the culture. This guide breaks it all down so you know what’s what and where it came from.

1. Old Skool Rap
A style of early hip hop music that originated in the late 1970s. Old school rap is very easy to distinguish from other genres by its simple performance technique and relatively easy rhymes.

2. Hardcore Rap
Hardcore rap is a genre that originated on the East Coast hip hop scene in the 1980s. The pioneers of the genre were artists such as Run-D.M.C., Schoolly D, Boogie Down Productions, and Public Enemy. It is usually characterized by anger, aggression, and confrontation.

3. Gangsta Rap
Gangsta rap is a type of hip hop that emerged in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The lyrics are about the criminal world of African American ghettos. Initially, it was considered hardcore rap, but it soon gained popularity and became a separate genre. Ice-T and the group N.W.A. are considered its founders.

4. Jazz Rap
Jazz rap is a genre of hip-hop music that originated in the late 1980s. The beats in jazz rap are jazz samples, and the lyrics are exclusively positive. In the 90s and 2000s, the popularity of jazz rap declined (primarily due to the rapid development of gangsta rap and hardcore rap).

5. Bounce
Bounce is a New Orleans hip-hop style that emerged in the late 1980s. In simple terms, it is a club-style, danceable rap, often referred to as Dirty South rap. Popular artists of the genre included DJ Jubilee, Partners-N-Crime, Magnolia Shorty, and Big Freedia.

6. G-Funk
G-Funk (short for gangsta-funk) is a subgenre of hip-hop music that emerged from West Coast gangsta rap in the early 1990s, heavily influenced by the funk sound of the 1970s. To better understand what this genre is, we recommend listening to any track by Parliament-Funkadelic.

7. Drill
Drill is a subgenre of gangsta rap that originated in Chicago (and means “to kill” in local slang). It began to actively develop in London in the mid-2010s. Drill is characterized by dark lyrics about violence and the life of street gangs. Pop Smoke and Chief Keef are considered prominent representatives of the genre.

8. Trap
Trap is the main musical genre of the 2010s (although it originated in Atlanta in the late 1990s). The distinctive features of the genre are its harsh sound, bass-heavy beats, and rhythm. You are surely familiar with the representatives of this genre, which include Future, 21 Savage, Playboi Carti, 2 Chainz, Cardi B, and Young Thug.

9. Grime
Grime is a music genre that originated in London in the early 2000s (and was a kind of “response” to American hip-hop artists). Translated from English, grime means “dirt,” and the term was initially used to describe low-quality music. Grime is characterized by harsh profanity and aggressive beats. Skepta is considered one of the most prominent representatives of the genre.

Safaree Called “Poster Boy For Deadbeat Dads” By Erica Mena Over Chris Brown Concert Antics

Erica Mena tore into Safaree Samuels after he posted videos from a Chris Brown concert in Miami, calling him the “poster boy” for “deadbeat” dads and accusing him of lying in court to avoid paying child support.

While Safaree shared clips of himself singing along in VIP at Chris Brown’s “Breezy Bowl XX” tour opener earlier this week, Erica was thousands of miles away in Greece, watching from afar—and not impressed.

A post shared by Safaree 🇯🇲 StuntMan (@safaree)

She unloaded on her Instagram Story, blasting her ex-husband for what she described as performative emotion and parental neglect.

“The world’s poster boy deadbeat at the Chris Brown concert shedding fake tears for yet another man,” she wrote. “Clown, ain’t you in court right now lying under oath about being broke just so you don’t have to lift a finger or a dollar for kids you don’t even see. Even your mother should be ashamed.”

The former Love & Hip Hop star didn’t stop there. She called his behavior “embarrassing” and reminded him that their children need more than social media theatrics. In a follow-up post, she extended her message to other women dealing with absentee fathers.

“To every woman who has reached out to me Thank you. I see you,” she wrote. “Your messages have all touched me. The fact that so many of us are dealing with these so-called fathers who scream ‘broke’ in court is sick. They’d rather flaunt this fake lifestyle over actually providing for their own kids. Flaunting luxury and a fake lifestyle online like it’s a performance.”

She continued, “And let’s not ignore the weak circle of ‘men’ and the women in family who proudly stand with these weak Dead beats who they know don’t even really spend time with their kids let alone provide says so much. It’s disgusting.”

Safaree has not publicly addressed Erica’s pointed remarks but did post a cryptic caption on Instagram that read, “Ya couldn’t pay me to be miserable.”

The two reality TV personalities tied the knot in 2019, welcomed two children together, and finalized their divorce in 2022.

Since then, they’ve been locked in a contentious legal battle over custody and financial support.

Shannon Sharpe Shenanigans Destroyed Woman’s Rep According To $20M Lawsuit

Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson are getting dragged into court by a youth leader and exec at the Harold Washington Cultural Center, who says they blasted her with lies on their Nightcap podcast.

Jimalita Tillman is suing the pair for $20 million, claiming they trashed her name, made up a whole fake marriage and ruined her rep after a clip of her interacting with Usher at his Vegas show made the rounds online.

Back on April 2, Tillman says she got pulled up for a lighthearted fan moment during Usher’s residency concert.

In court docs, she said, “I participated in a fan engagement moment at a Usher Raymond concert where I interacted with the artist as a selected audience member.”

The video blew up online because of how flirty it looked, but what happened next is what’s got her lawyering up. According to Tillman, Sharpe and Johnson went on their show Nightcap and told their viewers she was a married woman and that her “husband” was so heated he was filing divorce papers.

She shut that down in her legal filing: “Following this event, the defendants made and disseminated false and defamatory statements suggesting that I was married and that my husband was filing for divorce… I am not married, nor am I currently going through a divorce.”

Tillman said their lies spread fast. The fallout, she says, has been rough. She claims it’s messed with her job, her image, and her personal life.

Even worse, Tillman says she tried reaching out to get the record fixed, but no one from the show responded.

“These requests were disregarded,” she said. “The ongoing misinformation has resulted in emotional distress and adversely affected her personal and professional relationships,” according to The U.S. Sun.

This lawsuit’s one more problem Shannon Sharpe doesn’t need right now. He already had to cut a fat settlement check over a sexual assault lawsuit earlier this year.

That case was dismissed after a confidential settlement — rumored to be between $23 million and $50 million. No charges were filed, but Sharpe always said it was bogus and called it “extortion.”

To make matters worse, earlier this week, ESPN gave him the boot.
