Plies Trolls Donald Trump Following Arrest: “I Will Be Referring To Him As Inmate P0113580”

Plies is having a field day following Donald Trump’s arrest, trolling the former president and his 18 co-defendants in a social media frenzy.

On Thursday (August 24), shortly before Trump’s arrest, Plies joked that he was headed to Atlanta to take the mugshot.

“I’m finna take this mugshot today,” he said in a video while laughing hysterically.

Once the actual image surfaced online, he changed his social media profile pictures to the mugshot. Plies also shared the photo while continuing to troll Donald Trump.

“The Look U Give When U Been Yelling ‘Lock Her Up’ & ‘The Biden Crime Family’ .. But U The B*tch That’s Really The Criminal!!!!” he wrote alongside the photo. “U Can Fool Everybody But God!!!!”

He followed up with mugshots of some of the other defendants. “Look At These Crooks!!!!!!,” he wrote. “A Great Day In America! Get These Thugz Off The Streetz!!!!!”

The “I Got Motion” hitmaker also joked that he’s going to adopt the former commander in chief’s prison number in place of his actual name.

“I Will Not Be Referring To Donald J Trump By His Name Anymore,” Plies declared. “From Here On Out I Will Be Referring To Him As ‘Inmate P01135809.’”

Earlier this week, Plies questioned how Trump was still eligible to run for office while facing multiple RICO counts and charges over four indictments. According to Plies, if a regular citizen faced those charges, they couldn’t get a job flipping burgers.

He echoed the sentiment on Thursday when videos of Trump traveling to Fulton County Jail alongside a motorcade of black S.U.V.s preceded by more than a dozen police motorcycles.

“Bruh Don’t Deserve All This He’s A Regular Citizen Now!!” Plies wrote. “All This On Taxpayers Dollars!! This Ain’t The Easter Parade He’s Been Indicted!!”

Beyoncé Fans Joke “Somebody’s Getting Fired” After 10-Minute Audio Snafu During Arizona Show

Beyoncé fans at her Arizona concert experienced a ten-minute pause in the show after the mic cut out while the singer was performing.

The singer remained professional throughout, with the snafu barely ruffling in her feathers as she gracefully walked offstage while the engineers fixed the audio. However, when concertgoers shared clips of the moment the mic cut, people online began joking that somebody was getting fired.

“Beyoncé is gonna fire everyone,” one user wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “From the production to the stadium staff. Even the football players that use it. They’re all fired.”

The jokes continued, with many users sharing the same sentiment. However, fans at the show patiently awaited her return, chanting the superstar’s name until she reappeared.

Whether or not anybody lost their job, Beyoncé made a triumphant comeback following the brief delay. She restarted her performance of “Alien Superstar” with a bang. Beyoncé rose up from the stage after changing into a new costume, ready to continue the show.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the concert, Blue Ivy joined her mom, wearing her own fresh fit. The 11-year-old daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z has become a highlight of the Renaissance tour. Videos of her dancing with Bey to “My Power” have gone viral, and recreations of her dance moves are a fixture on TikTok.

Fat Joe Wants Drake’s Forgiveness For Rejecting Him On “All The Way Up” Remix

Fat Joe is asking Drake to forgive him for not putting him on the “All The Way Up” remix, despite Drizzy practically begging to be on the track.

In a preview clip from the latest episode of the Rap Radar podcast, the NYC icon recalled Drizzy contacting him to be the remix and explained why he turned him down.

“Drake FaceTimed me three times trying to get on ‘All The Way Up,’” Fat Joe revealed. “Three times. Middle of the night. ‘Send me the instrumental, send me the instrumental, send me the instrumental.’ I wish I would’ve got Drake on there, right? But the fact of all the history of me and Jay-Z, I was like ‘It gotta be just me and Jay-Z.’”

He continued, “Anybody who truly understands, this is the moment. It ain’t just gon’ be a posse cut.” However, it appears Drake did not understand and never asked him to be on a song again.

“And this the last time Drake ever asked me to do a song,” he added. “But… nah, man! Drake gotta forgive me. I’m like ‘Damn, man, please!’”

Drake Trolls Fat Joe With A Pair Of Socks

Despite the “All The Way Up” snub, Drake and Fat Joe maintain a friendly relationship. Drizzy recently gifted The Terror Squad leader an early birthday present.

“You can’t make this s### up,” Joe said in the video as he opened the box. “Congratulations Fat Joe, it’s your birthday. You’ve got a present from Stake. Stake, a.k.a. my brother Drake’s company.”

However, Joe was in for a surprise when he opened the box. “Fat Joe socks. Yo, this is the most disrespectful s### I’ve ever seen in my life,” he remarked. “G#######, be careful what you wish for. Thank you. It’s the thought that counts.”

The joke gift was in response to Fat Joe joking that he was “jealous” of the free perks Drake is gifted while he can’t even get a “f###### pack of socks” for free.

“Let me tell you why I might be jealous of Drake,” Joe said on Instagram Live. “I’ve never seen a guy people love more.

He then said that Drake was gifted his $185 million “Air Drake” jet, as well as the rare $1 million 2Pac ring recently sold at auction.

“Bro, they won’t give me a f###### pack of socks! They won’t give me a croissant,” he declared.

Donald Trump Shares His Mugshot, Asks For Donations To “Evict Crooked Joe Biden”

Donald Trump shared his mugshot on social media on Thursday (August 24), just hours after turning himself in to Fulton County jail on several RICO charges stemming from the 2020 presidential election.

The former president and his 18 co-defendants, including former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, took mugshots while in custody. Trump returned to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to post his mugshot and ask for donations. The post was his first since being banned following the January 6, 2021 U.S. Capitol insurrection.

“ELECTION INTERFERENCE! NEVER SURRENDER!” Trump wrote in the post. He soon deleted it, but the image remains on his social media platform of choice, Truth Social and on his website.

Truth Social/Donald Trump

Donald Trump embedded the mugshot alongside a statement on his site asking for contributions for his presidential run. He referred to his arrest at “the notoriously violent jail” in Fulton County, Georgia, calling it “ELECTION INTERFERENCE.”

He continued, ”I walked into the lion’s den with one simple message on behalf of our entire movement: I WILL NEVER SURRENDER OUR MISSION TO SAVE AMERICA.”

The former commander-in-chief then asked for donations to “to evict Crooked Joe Biden” and “SAVE AMERICA.”

In a statement to Fox News following his arrest, a defiant Donald Trump insisted “I should have every right” to challenge what he calls a “rigged” and “stolen” election. He called his arrest “a travesty of justice” and maintained his innocence, adding, “I’ve done nothing wrong.”

Donald Trump hired a new lawyer before surrendering to authorities, Steve Sadow, who previously represented Gunna in the YSL RICO case.

“N####S For Trump” Goes Viral Hours After The Ex-President Was Booked Into Jail & Released

It’s hard to imagine anything crazier than a person of color rallying behind perceived racist Donald Trump. But, it’s happening—in droves. On Thursday (August 24), a video featuring a Black man wearing a “N#####S For Trump” t-shirt went viral, proving anything is possible in 2023. The video arrived just hours after Trump turned himself in to Fulton County jail on multiple RICO charges and was released on $200,000 bond.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who’s leading the charge, seems to be the target of the “NFT” movement as indicated by captions like “Fani Willis if full of s###.”

The man in video continues, “I’m here to support president Trump. You wanna know why I’m here to support president Trump? Because they’ve been treating Black men like this for decades. Make up charges .. so I know Trump is innocent. I support Trump against this corrupt, two-tier justice system. That’s why I’m here to show my support as a Black man for Trump. And I’m wearing my ‘N####S For Trump 2024’ and I mean that.”

The man went on to say Willis is not only “full of s###” but a “puppet for the white liberals.” He also insisted Trump should be “king.”

Donald Trump was hit with 13 charges, including violating the Georgia RICO Act and conspiracy to commit forgery in the first degree. The Georgia case was the fourth indictment against Trump in a matter of months. He was previously indicted in two federal cases and a case in New York. Trump hired a new lawyer, Steve Sadow, before surrendering to authorities in Georgia.

“I have been retained to represent President Trump in the Fulton County, Georgia, case,” Sadow told ABC News. “The President should never have been indicted. He is innocent of all the charges brought against him. We look forward to the case being dismissed or, if necessary, an unbiased, open-minded jury finding the President not guilty. Prosecutions intended to advance or serve the ambitions and careers of political opponents of the President have no place in our justice system.”

Trump faces 91 criminal charges across four cases but maintains his innocence. Another group going by “Blacks For Trump” are also backing the ex-president. Watch their comments below.

Donald Trump Released After Getting Booked In Georgia Jail; Recruits Gunna’s Lawyer

Donald Trump was arrested and quickly released from the Fulton County Jail in Georgia on Thursday night (August 24). The former president took a mugshot while he was in custody.

Trump and 18 co-defendants face RICO charges in Fulton County. The ex-president and his allies were indicted for trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Kanye West’s former publicist Trevian Kutti were among the notable people indicted for their roles in Trump’s election scheme. Trump was hit with 13 charges, including violating the Georgia RICO Act and conspiracy to commit forgery in the first degree.

The Georgia case was the fourth indictment against Trump in a matter of months. He was previously indicted in two federal cases and a case in New York.

Blueface Stabbing: Rapper’s Alleged Assailant Charged With Felony

A 36-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing Blueface at a boxing gym in the Los Angeles area. According to TMZ, Brandon Henry Snell was charged with felony assault after surrendering to authorities on Wednesday afternoon (August 23).

Blueface was stabbed while training for a boxing match on Wednesday morning. A man walked into the gym and quickly confronted the rapper, leading to an altercation between the two. Security footage showed Blueface’s attacker pulling out a knife after getting punched several times.

Authorities believe Snell was the man wielding the knife in the security footage. He was released after posting bail on Thursday (August 24).

Blueface said he did not know his assailant. He referred to the man as “some random guy” in an Instagram Stories post about the incident.

The attacker stabbed Blueface in the leg. The stabbing forced Blueface to pull out of a boxing match against internet personality Salt Papi. The two were scheduled to fight in October.

“I won’t be able to fight October 14th due to a injury won’t have enough time to heal don’t say I ducked none bro came with a dog an a knife at 10am,” Blueface wrote on Instagram.

Polo G Catches Multiple Charges After Cops Raid His Home

Two police departments arrested Polo G on Wednesday (August 23). Burbank police booked the rapper on several charges after Los Angeles police busted him in a raid.

The Los Angeles Police Department raided the Columbia Records artist’s mansion in connection to a robbery, which allegedly involved his brother Trench Baby. Cops booked Polo G for possession of a short-barreled rifle. His brother was charged with robbery. Police also found a small bag of drugs on Trench Baby.

Polo G and Trench Baby were arrested again after the LAPD released them from custody. The Burbank Police Department was waiting to apprehend both men.

Burbank police arrested the brothers over an incident from April. They were charged with kidnapping, robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

Their mother Stacia Mac informed fans of their release from jail in an Instagram Stories post on Thursday (August 24). The two posted $100,000 bail.

“Polo and Tbaby have been released,” she wrote. “Thank you for your concern and prayers.”

Both men are due in court in October. Polo G’s lawyer Bradford Cohen claimed his client was illegally detained when police raided the rapper’s home on Wednesday.

Polo G is scheduled to drop a new album titled Hood Poet on September 15. He teased retirement ahead of the project’s release.

Cardi B May Have To Settle For Six-Figure Sum In Tasha K’s Bankruptcy Plan

Tasha K’s bankruptcy might prevent Cardi B from collecting millions of dollars won in a lawsuit. According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Tasha K proposed a $220,000 payment to satisfy her debt to the rapper after filing for bankruptcy.

“It is the purpose of this Chapter 11 to propose a feasible plan that will pay the Cardi B judgment, to the best of Debtor’s ability, consistent with the limited net income available to fund a plan, which Debtor projects to be a monthly amount of $6,500.00,” Tasha K’s attorney wrote.

Last year, a jury awarded roughly $4 million to Cardi B in her lawsuit against Tasha K. The Atlantic Records artist sued the vlogger for defamation, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Tasha K, whose real name is Latasha Kebe, repeatedly claimed she couldn’t pay the debt. Earlier this year, she filed for bankruptcy after losing an appeal in the case.

The vlogger offered to pay $220,239.20 to Cardi B in the bankruptcy plan. Tasha K sought to make the payments over 20 quarters.

Tasha K aimed to start with quarterly payments of $4,500, totaling $18,000 over the first four quarters. The payments would increase to $12,000 over the next 12 quarters for a total of $144,000. The amount would finally jump to $15,000 per quarter — a $60,000 total for the last four quarters.

Cardi B has not responded to Tasha K’s proposed plan. The rapper previously filed a complaint, hoping to collect a $3.9 million debt from the vlogger despite the bankruptcy.

“On August 8, 2023, Cardi B filed an adversary complaint against the Debtor under section 523(a)(6) of the Code, which provides for non-dischargeability of any debt ‘for willful and malicious injury by the Debtor to another entity or to the property of another entity.’” Tasha K’s lawyer noted. “This matter is pending.”

Tasha K also owes $84,000 to the IRS and $39,452 to the Georgia Department of Revenue. Her other creditors include American Express, Bank of America and Progressive.

Fans Slam Mom For Letting Baby Crowd-Surf At Flo Rida Concert

Flo Rida is under fire after a viral video shows him receiving a baby that was crowd-surfed to his music during a recent concert in Erie, Pennsylvania. The clip from this year’s “Celebrate Erie” festival shows that the audience didn’t lift the baby to the stage but into the artist’s arms as he was perched on top of his security detail’s shoulders.

While singing his hit song “Low,” the baby went from his arms to his hip, and then the artist shared the mic with his new co-star. The baby-inspired partying didn’t stop there. He kept the baby for some time, even when he went back to the stage. While performing with his hype man and band, he then lifted up the baby Simba-style to the sky.

https://twitter.com/detectclips/status/1693718220073472448?s=20

Social media went berserk blasting both the mother.

“How does a mother just let go of her baby so easily like that? Lol,” one person asked.

One Twitter user said the baby was “probably so confused,” while another replied, “We all are.” Another asked why the baby was even at the concert.

Some just cracked jokes, saying, “I wonder how you claim your baby back?”

“The fact that flo rida put the mic up to the baby as if they were gonna start singing Low word for word bar for bar is hilarious,” someone snickered.

Most people were concerned for the baby.

“Idk if I want a whole bunch of random people touching my infant child but that’s just me,” one person tweeted, while another said, “Over my dead body would I let a group of FLO RIDA FANS carry my baby to the stage like that.”

Is Lil Baby’s Team Prepping $75K Lawsuit For IG Model Behind Salacious Sex Rumor?

Lil Baby may be enlisting his legal team to draft a hefty lawsuit aimed at an Instagram model who claims she ate the 4PF rapper’s groceries.

The woman in question, Teresa Lavae, began divulging the rumors that she played with Lil Baby’s ass while also speaking on her alleged sexual exploits with A$AP Rocky.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Crlv4jIAuIi/?img_index=1

Lavae went into explicit detail about the sexual acts she purportedly performed on Wham during her appearance on the We In Miami podcast, even going as far as claiming that Lil Baby paid her $40,000 for the acts involving his dairyaire.

Lavae also claimed she and A$AP Rocky were sexually involved. She said she also engaged in foreplay in the Harlem rapper’s posterior region. While none of the claims are substantiated and are clearly questionable in validity and credibility, Lavae appeared to have direct messages from both A$AP Rocky and Lil Baby from as early 2020, when she claims the exploits began.

While there appears to be no official statement from Lil Baby or his team, reports of a 4PF spokesperson confirming a defamation lawsuit in the minimum amount of $75,000 have began circulating following Lavae’s claims. This all has to be somewhat cumbersome for Lil Baby, though, considering he beat the allegations he cheated on his ex-girlfriend and baby mama Jayda Cheaves with adult film star Miss London—who also claimed she was paid as much as $16,000 for the one-night-stand.

Feezy Lebron Files Lawsuit Against L.A. County & Deputy For Threatening His Life

West Coast rapper Feezy Lebron reportedly filed a federal lawsuit on Wednesday (August 23) in U.S. District Central District Court, claiming his civil rights were violated by sheriff’s deputies who threatened to kill him on December 31, 2022.

In the complaint, which lists Los Angeles County and Sheriff’s Deputy Justin Sabatine as defendants, the recording artist says he was sitting by himself in his car, according to My News LA.

As previously reported, Lebron’s lawyers filed a $10 million civil rights tort claim, which was the first step to eventually suing both parties. Lebron said he was waiting in a Gardena parking lot for his friend and playing music for his fans on Instagram when officers pulled up. The LASD deputies flashed a light in his car, while one of the officers ordered him to open the door on the driver’s side.

“One deputy opened the driver’s side door, grabbed Lebron by the arm and attempted to pull him out of his car,” a statement read. “Moments later, a second deputy walked up to Lebron, pulled out a canister of pepper spray and said ‘I’m just going to spray you.’”

Lebron said he asked Deputy Sabatine why he was being bothered, which is when the incident escalated. The officer started repeatedly threatening to shoot him “dead at point blank range.”

“Move your hands from right there and you’re done,” Sabatine is heard saying. “You take off in this car, I’m gonna shoot you. I’m gonna make it super easy on you. You put this car in drive, you’re getting one right to the chest. I don’t care what you got. I don’t care if you got b####### on you, but guess what bro, now you gotta deal with it. But if you pull some b####### you’re gonna take one to the chest.'”

Lebron’s lawsuit states he was scared for his life and is traumatized.

Lawyer Morgan Ricketts, who’s representing the rapper, said he’s calling “for Sheriff Luna to stand behind his promises, eradicate deputy gangs, and remove lawless, dangerous deputies—beginning with Sabatine and Ruiz.”

The LASD released a statement regarding the incident, saying, “While the department does not make statements related to ongoing investigations, Sheriff (Robert) Luna has made it clear that he expects department personnel to treat all members of the public with dignity and respect and that personnel who do not uphold our training standards will be held accountable.”

EXCLUSIVE: D.A. Says Young Thug, YSL Have Created Security Concerns By Rioting, Shanking Inmates—Here’s The List

Fulton County D.A. Fani Willis and The State of Georgia have officially responded to a motion filed by Young Thug in June revolving around the rap star’s concerns regarding his right to a fair trial.

The ongoing legal battle involves eight defendants, with Young Thug among them. They face many charges, from conspiracy to violate the RICO Act to more severe offenses like murder, aggravated assault and armed robbery.

Seven of the defendants are currently being held at the Fulton County Jail, while one is at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center. A common thread binding them is their alleged affiliation with the Young Slime Life (YSL) criminal street gang.

As previously reported by AllHipHop.com, Young Thug has been vocal about the overwhelming police presence during his trial, fearing it’s casting a shadow of guilt over him. The Atlanta-based rapper and his legal team have been mainly concerned about the “fortress-like atmosphere” in the courtroom.

They argue the atmosphere, combined with the fact Young Thug’s family and supporters have been relegated to a separate “viewing courtroom,” might influence the jury’s perception.

The police, often seen in tactical gear and carrying heavy weaponry, have been described as having more than just a “heavy” presence. Additionally, Young Thug’s appearance in the courtroom, shackled in a leg brace, only adds to the narrative that he’s dangerous.

Despite these concerns, the court has sided mainly with the discretion of the sheriff regarding the level of police presence. Young Thug’s legal team has been persistent, arguing that the closure of the main courtroom to his supporters and the differential treatment of defense attorneys compared to prosecutors creates an inherent bias against him.

They’ve even requested a special hearing to present evidence of the overwhelming police presence and other elements contributing to an unfair trial environment.

However, the state’s stance is clear: the disruptions caused by Young Thug and the other defendants inside and outside the courtroom have necessitated the increased police presence. They argue Young Thug and his co-defendants are the primary reasons for these extraordinary security measures.

These incidents have resulted in the issuing of more than 46 additional arrest warrants for the YSL defendants and their associates. Moreover, the YSL defendants have been consistently sharing photos from inside the courtroom on their social media, further complicating the matter.

The following incidents since the trial’s commencement on January 4 highlight the need for such security:

1. January 17, 2023: Deamonte Kendrick’s (Yak Gotti) mother and girlfriend attempted to deliver a white envelope containing tobacco products within Deamonte Kendrick’s legal documents.

2. January 18, 2023: Damone Blaock and Lil Rod were found with shanks in their jail cells at the Fulton County Jail.

3. January 18, 2023: Khalieff Adams handed a Percocet pill to Young Thug in open court. Adams had a blue package between his buttocks containing three oxycodone-hydrochloride pills, three acetaminophen-oxycodone-hydrochloride pills and four bags of a brown leafy substance believed to be tobacco.

4. January 23, 2023: Lil Rod spit on Fulton County Sheriff Investigator M. Kandakai while awaiting transport to the courthouse from the jail.

5. January 31, 2023: Christian “Bhris” Eppinger, Lil Rod, Blalock and Demise McMullen stabbed inmate Demarcus Bussey in the Fulton County Jail and collapsed his lung.

6. March 23, 2023: Derontae Bebee threatened a Cobb County Deputy by telling the deputy: “I got something for you… I’m surprised you ain’t died yet.”

7. March 29, 2023: Shannon Stillwell threatened a female during a call he made from a cell phone. Stillwell’s jail cell contained a cell phone, Apple Air Pods, a shank, 18 cigarettes and 173 ecstasy pills.

8. April 5, 2023: Yak Gotti possessed an iPhone and Apple Air Pods inside the Fulton County Jail.

9. April 15, 2023: Tenquarius Mender had Apple AirPods, 73 Percocet pills, $840 in $20 denominations, two phone chargers and two cigarette lighters in his jail cell.

11. April 19, 2023: Lil Rod was found to have two large rolls of marijuana sewn into his underwear while court was in session.

12. April 29, 2023: Cordarius Dorsey shanked two inmates at the Fulton County Jail.

13. May 1, 2023: Dorsey and another inmate popped locks to cells in the jail, enabling another inmate to commit an aggravated assault.

14. May 14, 2023: Quamarvious Nichols and Mender were involved in a riot at the jail. Mender is seen leading the melee in the security videos.

15. May 15, 2023: Bebee wore unauthorized clothing at the Fulton County Jail.

16. May 16, 2023: Dorsey and Eppinger refused to follow commands from Fulton County Sheriff’s Office deputies and physically resisted efforts by deputies to achieve compliance. Dorsey began hissing like a “snake” and spit on deputies. While fighting with deputies, Eppinger stated, “This is going to be every day now. It’s on.”

17. May 16, 2023: Eppinger fought with a deputy attempting to remove Eppinger’s leg brace while being transported from the courthouse to the Fulton County Jail.

18. May 17, 2023: Dorsey held unauthorized clothing articles in his jail cell.

19. May 25, 2023: Former Fulton County Deputy Sheriff Akeiba Stanley fostered a relationship with Eppinger by communicating with Eppinger through Instagram on an illegal cellphone that she knew he had. Stanley also attempted to bring Eppinger contraband from one of his family members.

20. June 16, 2023: Dorsey refused to come out of his cell for trial, delaying the start of proceedings that day.

Lil Baby Downplays Rumored Joint Album With Drake

Will Atlanta’s Lil Baby and Toronto’s Drake officially join forces for a full-length album? One of those rap stars provided an ambiguous answer to that question.

All of the speculation about a possible Lil Baby/Drake project kicked into high gear when South African record producer Black Coffee commented on the potential collaborative effort.

“[Quality Control Music co-founder Coach K] had said to me, ‘Lil Baby and Drake are making an album. It’s possible that Drake is retiring,’” stated Black Coffee on the Podcast and Chill With MacG show.

Lil Baby, an artist on the Quality Control Music roster, has addressed the rumors of an album with Drake. XXL asked the 28-year-old rapper about the reports of a pending musical union with the OVO Sound leader.

“Maybe so. Maybe not,” said Lil Baby in the Summer 2023 issue of the magazine. While there is no clarity on whether an album with Drake will drop in the near future, Baby did confirm he has another solo body of work on the way.

The award-winning rhymer stated, “I’m actually going to drop an album this summer and my artist, Rylo Rodriguez, will be dropping an album this summer.” Rylo Rodriguez released Been One on June 3.

Lil Baby let loose the It’s Only Me studio LP in October 2022. It’s Only Me debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart by earning 216,000 first-week units. It became Baby’s third Number One of his career.

2020’s My Turn spent five weeks in the top spot of the Billboard 200. Additionally, The Voice Of The Heroes collaborative project with Lil Durk reached the pinnacle of the weekly rankings in 2021.

Lil Baby also worked with fellow Atlanta native Gunna to create 2018’s Drip Harder mixtape. Back in 2018, Drake helped lift Baby into the mainstream rap scene with the “Yes Indeed” single. The Canadian’s catalog also features joint projects with Atlanta-bred acts Future and 21 Savage.

Burna Boy Mentions Malcolm X & Louis Farrakhan To Back Up His Comments About African Americans

Nigerian recording artist Burna Boy used the names of Malcolm X and Louis Farrakhan during a conversation about Black Americans. The Afrobeats star still has to respond to some previous comments he made about African descendants in the United States.

“Let’s use America,” answered Burna Boy earlier this year when asked about the importance of the African diaspora returning to the continent. “Why do you think Chinese Americans have their respect? They don’t go through the things that African Americans go through.”

He continued, “You know why? Because the Chinese American has a base. He actually knows where he’s from in China. Italian Americans know where their grandparents came from in Italy… Same goes for everyone else except African-Americans.”

Online Commenters Took Issue With Burna’s Remarks

Apparently, those comments from Burna Boy angered some social media users. In March, the I Told Them… album creator took to Instagram to respond to the backlash. He posted, in part, “I believe coming together as brothers and sisters is the only way forward to US Black people worldwide.”

Complex recently caught up with Burna Boy for an interview. The 32-year-old Grammy Award winner once again addressed the controversy surrounding his previous remarks about African-Americans and the African diaspora.

Burna Boy: My Mission Is Too Divine For Stupid S###

“My mission is to bring us together. My mission is to build a bridge that can’t be broken, a bridge that should’ve always been there,” said Burna. “So for me, that’s not really relevant. I don’t really look at none of that because I feel like when people say that they have their own agendas.”

The singer/songwriter also added, “There’s nothing I said that Malcolm X didn’t say. There’s nothing I said that The Honorable Louis Farrakhan didn’t say. But, obviously, it’s Burna Boy saying it and he’s from Africa… All that’s beneath me. My mission and my movements [are] too divine for stupid s### like that.”

Burna Boy’s seventh studio LP, I Told Them…, features GZA, 21 Savage, Dave, Seyi Vibez, RZA and J. Cole. The project joins a discography that also contains albums like 2018’s Outside, 2019’s African Giant, 2020’s Twice as Tall and 2022’s Love, Damini.

Polo G’s Lawyer On Police Raid: Someone Will Answer For These Wrongful Actions

Yesterday (August 23), news broke that law enforcement officers raided the California home of Polo G. A lawyer representing the Chicago-bred rapper, born Taurus Bartlett, addressed the situation.

Apparently, police obtained a search warrant in connection to a robbery which allowed investigators to enter the Los Angeles residency. According to reports, the cops detained Polo G and several other individuals.

Polo G’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, issued a statement to XXL. Cohen downplayed his client’s involvement in any illegal activities. He essentially warned the authorities of forthcoming actions from the entertainer’s camp.

“The incident surrounded someone staying in Polo’s home and not Polo directly,” stated Bradford Cohen. “The officers have detained Polo to ‘verify’ that he is not a convicted felon, as they assert a firearm was found in the home. It is widely known that Polo is not a convicted felon and never was a convicted felon.”

The criminal defense specialist added, “I personally got all his charges in Miami dismissed when he was in our opinion wrongfully arrested and charged. They have refused to allow us access to our client which is also an illegal and unethical practice and someone will have to answer for these new wrongful actions.”

Previously, Miami police officers arrested Polo G in 2021. The “Rapstar” hitmaker faced battery of an officer and threatening a public servant felonies as well as other misdemeanors. Prosecutors eventually dropped all of the charges. Bartlett had to complete a Pre-Trial Intervention program.

Additionally, Polo G plans to drop his fourth studio album, Hood Poet, on September 15. The 24-year-old Columbia recording artist hinted at possibly retiring after this next body of work makes its way to DSPs next month.

Did Chloe x Halle Clap Back At Gossip Blogger Funky Dineva?

Rumors have been circulating that singer/actress Halle Bailey is pregnant by her boyfriend, rapper DDG. Halle’s sister, Chloe Bailey, addressed the speculation.

“Y’all better keep my sister’s name out of your mouth. Thank you,” said Chloe Bailey in an Instagram Live video. The Beyoncé protégé continued, “Bout to get me riled the hell up.”

Fox Soul’s Claudia Jordan and Funky Dineva discussed the pregnancy rumors surrounding Halle Bailey on their show. At one point, Dineva had some negative things to say about the older Bailey sister.

“Chloe Bailey is so g###### lame to me,” Funky Dineva expressed. “First of all, girl, you are Miss Preppy Ashley from the suburbs. Then you came out being all promiscuous, and now you’re trying to be a gangster. None of it is f###### believable.”

The gossip blogger also stated, “And I’m probably gonna catch a lot of backlash for this, and without that makeup, she ain’t cute. She never should’ve shown up on that camera with that fat-ass face without no makeup.”

Fans Believe Halle Bailey Threw Shade At Funky Dineva

It appears Chloe Bailey got wind of Funky Dineva’s comments. On Wednesday night, after the Fox Soul segment went viral, the Swarm actress tweeted, “Lol, people be so mad at your happiness. Get help.”

Halle Bailey quoted her sibling’s post and added, “They need help immediately!!!!” Neither woman specifically mentioned Funky Dineva, but many social media users took their messages as clapbacks directed at the internet personality.

The Bailey sisters originally built a fanbase as the musical act Chloe x Halle. They earned four Grammy Award nominations, including a Best New Artist nod at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards in 2019.

Both Chloe Bailey and Halle Bailey also appeared as part of the Grown-ish cast. Halle went on to secure the lead role in Disney’s The Little Mermaid movie. Chloe starred in Donald Glover’s Swarm television show.

Atlanta-based recording artist/music executive Jermaine Dupri played a major role in the rise of his hometown’s music scene. He founded the So So Def Recordings label in 1993.

Jermaine Dupri will celebrate 30 years of So So Def with a two-night event in Atlanta’s Central Park. The 30th Anniversary So So Def Festival takes place on October 7 and October 8.

The event will host performances by So So Def-associated acts like Xscape, Jagged Edge, Anthony Hamilton, Da Brat, TLC, Dem Franchize Boyz and Youngbloodz. More performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def Recordings released numerous memorable albums such as Xscape’s Hummin’ Comin’ at ‘Cha, Da Brat’s Funkdafied, Jagged Edge’s J.E. Heartbreak and Lil’ Bow Wow’s Beware of Dog.

So So Def was also the label home of the Hip-Hop duo Kris Kross. Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith and the late Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly became mainstream stars thanks to their No. 1 hit “Jump” in 1992.

Additionally, Jermaine Dupri dropped his own studio albums – 1998’s Life in 1472 and 2001’s Instructions. The record company also released Jermaine Dupri Presents… So So Def 25 compilation in 2018.

Dupri has been in the news lately for his comments about the lack of Hip-Hop 50th-anniversary celebrations in Atlanta. Earlier this month, he posted, “Just for the record! No brands have done any dinners or get-togethers in Atlanta celebrating the 50 anniversary of Hip-Hop. That’s Crazy!!!”

Jailed U.K. Drill Rapper Dsavv Livestreams Standoff With Prison Guards

North London drill rapper Dsavv hopped on Instagram to livestream a standoff with prison guards.

On Thursday (August 23), a video surfaced of Dsavv taunting guards on his prison wing as he live streamed the standoff to his Instagram followers.

In the clip, Dsavv baited a rival drill crew and rapped lyrics from one of his songs. He also insulted the guards despite them surrounding him. Prison officers equipped with riot shields can be seen on all sides of the rapper as even more stream into the wing.

The video doesn’t show how the altercation gets resolved. However, it’s unlikely to have ended well for Dsavv.

Dsavv Sentenced To Over Six Years For Armed Robberies

A member of North-London-based drill collective OFB, Dsavv whose real name is Daniel Boakye, was jailed earlier this year for his role in a spate of armed robberies.  In just over six months, he and three other teenagers stole £115,000 worth of cryptocurrency from victims at knifepoint.

They forced victims to hand over the passwords to their devices in order to access their cryptocurrency. Dsavv and the others would then siphon off the virtual currency into “hot wallets.”

They were arrested after detectives discovered the group used stolen bank information to order takeout to their home addresses.

In July, Dsavv was sentenced to six years and five months’ imprisonment.

Detective Constable James Green, of the Specialist Crime Command said in a statement: “In total, there were 19 robberies within the conspiracy in which 26 people were robbed. During my career as a police officer I have not come across criminals of such a cowardly nature. The group singled out innocent members of the public whilst armed with weapons in order to rob them of their mobile phones and digital currencies. They would insinuate that the victims were members of an opposing gang, whilst all knew that these were innocent members of the public.”

Nicki Minaj Takes Legal Action Against Alleged Swatter: “A Warrant Is In The System”

Nicki Minaj is hitting back against an alleged swatter who called the cops to her home, naming and shaming them on social media after taking legal action.

Last month, cops responded to a 911 caller claiming somebody had been shot at the rap superstar’s Los Angeles home. L.A. County Sheriff deputies swarmed her San Fernando Valley, leaving the “Barbie World” hitmaker reportedly furious.

However, Nicki Minaj has seemingly tracked down the alleged perpetrator and brought charges against them. She took to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday (August 23) to ask “the woman who made those swatting calls to my home,” if it was worth it before calling them “Dumbo.”

While she initially kept their identity under wraps, she followed up with another post naming the alleged swatter. Directing her message to “Stephanie Bell,” Nicki Minaj warned, “A warrant is in the system.”

Minaj also praised the “Great detective work,” of the authorities, adding she is “So grateful.”

According to Nicki Minaj, “The DA filed one count for the swatting call and one for the false report to DCFS.” She concluded her post, “To God be the glory.”

Although fans in the replies backed her quest for justice, anybody named Stephanie Bell was quaking in their boots. Nicki Minaj’s loyal fanbase, “The Barbz,” is known to track down her haters and exert their own social media vigilante justice, and the alleged swatter was no different.

“idc which stephanie bell it is, she knows who she is and she can’t outrun what’s coming to her,” wrote one fan. “nicki will ALWAYS get the last laugh and that’s just that on that.”
