Outlawz Member Young Noble Dead By Suicide At Age 47

E.D.I. Mean won’t be celebrating the Fourth of July following the tragic news that his Outlawz brethren Young Noble has committed suicide.

The veteran rapper, who rose to notoriety as part of Tupac Shakur’s group, broke the news via Instagram on Friday (July 4), saying he was “at a loss for words.”

“Today I got some of the worst and unexpected news imaginable,” he wrote. “my brother and partner for over 30 years took his life this morning. Rest in Power Rufus Young Noble Cooper. I obviously am in no shape to talk about this right now so PLEASE give his family and I some time to process this. Mental illness is a real battle being fought by so many. CHECK ON UR FOLKS!”

Many in the Hip-Hop community expressed their shock in the comment section, including Xzibit, who wrote, “Just heard the news brother. I’m am processing this as well. I wish him peace and comfort. Condolences to you and all of the families involved. Tragedy.”

Snoop Dogg, Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, E-40, Suge Knight Jr. and KXNG Crooked also offered their condolences.

The Outlawz were founded by Tupac Shakur and Yaki Kadafi in 1995, initially emerging from Shakur’s earlier collaborations with groups like Dramacydal and Thug Life. The group, whose name stands for “Operating Under Thug Laws As Warriors,” first gained widespread recognition through their appearance on Shakur’s track “When We Ride” from his multi-platinum album All Eyez on Me, and became especially notable for their role on the infamous diss track “Hit ‘Em Up.”

Members adopted aliases inspired by controversial world leaders, with Shakur himself taking the name “Makaveli.” The original lineup included Kastro, E.D.I. Mean, Hussein Fatal, Napoleon, Yaki Kadafi, Young Noble and the sole female member, Storm.

After Shakur’s murder in 1996, the group faced significant turmoil, including the deaths of Kadafi and Hussein Fatal, but continued to release music, including the platinum-certified album Still I Rise in collaboration with Shakur.

Young Noble, who joined the group in 1996 as the last member, survived a serious heart attack in 2021. He wrote at the time, “Thank you to all my luved ones who been praying for me I had 1 of the worst days of my life yesterday I had a serious heart attack but God is too good & the amazing doctors brung me back an they getting me right.

“I plan to put everything in my life on hold while I recover an get my health all the way right…This will only make me stronger I’m grateful for a second chance an I beg y’all please please please take your health serious all the unhealthy living an stress catches up sooner than later!”

In December 2024, Young Noble sat down for his first interview in seven years in which he got emotional talking about both the murders of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G.

“It was crazy,” he said. “Biggie dying affected us, too […] I was almost questioning like, ‘Damn man, maybe I should have stayed in school and figured something else out.’ Like, ‘I don’t know if I made the right decision getting in the car with [Hussein] Fatal and Yaki [Kadafi] that day. This doesn’t feel good. I left the hood to come to California. I was tired of death and all this b#######. Two of my friends just died back to back. It was horrible. Horrible for Hip-Hop.”

AllHipHop sends our condolences to Young Noble’s loved ones.

Drake Dragged Online After Shirtless Selfie Sparks Plastic Surgery Rumors

Drake got clowned across social media over the weekend after posting a shirtless selfie showing off his abs, reigniting long-running plastic surgery rumors that have followed him through multiple rap beefs.

The Toronto rapper dropped the carousel on Instagram with the caption, “I’m wide awake for the nights that separate the type who get to it til they get it right from the type who just …type.”

But instead of applause, the post triggered a flood of jokes and accusations about his body being more sculpted by a surgeon than a gym.

“Boy stop playing! The only place you ran was to the surgeon,” one user commented.

Another wrote, “Ordered abs from temu n forgot to add shoulders n tri lol.” A third chimed in, “No shoulders, no biceps, deflated chest but extremely defined abs lmao.”

The online roasting follows speculation about alleged cosmetic enhancements, including alleged ab etching, a nose job and even a Brazilian butt lift.

The rumors haven’t just lived in comment sections. Kendrick Lamar took a direct shot in his diss track “Euphoria,” rapping, “Let your core audience stomach that/then tell ’em where you get your abs from.”

Rick Ross dubbed him “BBL Drizzy” and accused him of getting a nose job in his track “Champagne Moments.” Even Pusha T threw shade back in 2018 on “The Story of Adidon.”

Drake Denies Surgery Rumors

Drake has repeatedly denied going under the knife. In April 2024, he shared a text exchange with his mom, writing, “I would have got us a 2 for 1 deal if I went ma,” while blaming Rick Ross for fueling the gossip.

Still, the speculation has only grown louder during his lyrical feuds, and the “BBL Drizzy” meme has taken on a life of its own.

Metro Boomin even launched a “BBLDrizzyBeatGiveaway” online, adding fuel to the fire.

Drake has yet to address the latest round of mockery, but judging by his past reactions, he’s likely to keep responding with sarcasm rather than statements.

Cardi B Bares Nipples While Shopping For Rolexes With Stefon Diggs

Cardi B turned heads in Miami on Sunday (June 29), when she stepped out with new beau Stefon Diggs to shop for luxury watches while wearing a white, nipple-revealing tank top.

The Grammy-winning rapper and the Buffalo Bills wide receiver were spotted at a high-end jewelry store, where they appeared to be browsing Rolex timepieces. The two were seen chatting closely and laughing inside the boutique, drawing attention not just for their potential purchases but also for Cardi’s bold outfit choice.

A photo posted to social media shows the rapper confidently posing next to Diggs with employees of the store.

The photo, which quickly made the rounds online, had viewers buzzing about both the fashion and the company she kept. Diggs, dressed in a white hoodie and black pants, kept things casual as he accompanied Cardi through the store.

“Pretty sure it’s just Coldies nipples in that room,” one person wrote, while another said, “headlights shining bright!” Another wondered, “Cardi doesn’t have a better bra?”, while yet another joked, “she can cut through drywall with those things.” Some even suggested she is pregnant.

Cardi B and Offset’s turbulent relationship was marked by multiple breakups and reconciliations since their marriage in 2017. Their most recent split was confirmed by Cardi B in December 2023, when she announced on Instagram Live that she had been single for some time, citing a desire to put herself first and move on from what she described as “dead weight” in her life.

The separation followed a pattern of public ups and downs, including previous splits in 2018 and 2020, but this time the couple also unfollowed each other on social media, signaling a more definitive break.

Despite their history of rekindling the relationship, Cardi B has clearly moved forward with her personal life, publicly acknowledging a relationship with Diggs earlier this month. Meanwhile, her divorce proceedings with Offset remain ongoing, with both parties involved in legal discussions over custody of their three children and financial matters.

Cardi has expressed frustration over the drawn-out process and Offset’s recent requests for joint custody and spousal support, emphasizing her wish to fully close this chapter of her life.

Meanwhile, Cardi B officially announced her long-awaited sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, will arrive on September 19, marking her first full-length project since her 2017 debut, Invasion of Privacy. The announcement was made with bold cover art and a series of dramatic teasers across her social media platforms, where Cardi declared a new chapter in her career and personal evolution.

The album will feature hit singles such as “WAP” and “Up,” as well as her latest release, “Outside,” which debuted at #1 on Apple Music and references both her past relationship with Offset and Diggs.

Tyler Perry’s Second Major Problem Speaks

Christian Keyes Reignites Tensions With Tyler Perry Without Saying His Name

Christian Keyes is talking again and this time he’s making it count.

The All the Queen’s Men creator recently took to social media criticizing how the network handled his hit series. While Keyes never mentioned exectutive producer Tyler Perry, the message was loud, clear and pointed straight at the top. And, loaded.

“It is continuously disappointing to find out that your show is coming back on the internet instead of finding out from the network,” Keyes said in a TikTok post. He added that he wasn’t even sent the official trailer.

“To see the trailer online and have to go search for [it], so I can try and download the trailer for the hit show that I created for this studio and this network instead of getting it sent when everybody else is getting theirs.”

Keyes was calling out the machine behind the scenes, but some think the white whale is Tyler Perry.

READ ALSO: Actor Christian Keyes Claims He Was Sexually Assaulted By “A Mentor”

Keyes’ relationship with Perry appears to have quietly frayed. Though Perry executive produces the show, Keyes has long maintained that he created the series himself over 15 years ago. We believe this. And in this latest video, he also shared that his “created by” credit was stripped away in season two. SMH! The credit was regained after involving the Writers Guild of America. That’s a heavy move for someone operating under Perry’s shadow. I am glad he made bold moves to protect his IP.

But there is bigger drama.

Tyler Perry currently faces a multimillion-dollar lawsuit from a man accusing him of sexual harassment. The case is pending and the motivations behind it have been questioned. Some say the lawsuit is a thinly veiled attempt to out Perry as gay. Tyler Perry is not gay, he had said over and over.

Keyes never touches on the lawsuit. But the timing and tone of his statements have triggered rumors. About two years ago, Keyes hinted at dropping bombshells on someone powerful, a mentor. Many assumed was Perry. They go back to those Madea plays. Nevertheless, those revelations never came. Now, he’s once again venting. He’s checking BET and BET+, but the big boss is Perry.

Not not, because Keyes is taking his ball and going to play elsewhere. “It’s not up to the studio. It’s not up to the network. It’s up to me, thankfully,” he said. His prequel and spinoff projects will find new homes on other streaming platforms.

This saga is another case of behind-the-scenes industry politics. Keyes might have a deeper story, but not ready to tell it yet. Whatever the truth is, he seems determined to protect himself even if it means playing chess. Of course, the world wants him to flip the board over!

Keep pushing!

How Hip-Hop Artists Are Making Independent Comebacks in 2025

Back in the early 2000s, signing with a record label was the ultimate goal in hip-hop. But as we move further into 2025, the goalposts have shifted. Many of the boldest and most original voices in the game are choosing to pursue careers without the benefit of major label industry muscle. Why? Because ownership, control, and real connection are more valuable now than ever.

Streaming Levels the Playing Field

Streaming services have leveled the playing field. Where previously radio reigned supreme when it came to exposure, now Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube give even the smallest artists the chance to achieve large-scale recognition. You don’t have to have deep pockets to compete anymore, you just have to have good strategy and consistency. It’s leveled the field for artists from across the world.

Social networks have also added fuel to the fire. A 30-second video on TikTok or Instagram can launch an artist into millions of ears. Artists are turning short clips into long-term careers. More importantly, they’re creating audiences for their music. Through Discord servers, private live streams, and fan-subsidized work on Patreon, they’re creating lasting connections. These fans aren’t passive listeners. They’re active participants, helping to shape careers in exchange for first dibs on exclusive material and access to behind-the-scenes content.

The Digital Transformation

One of the most often-overlooked tools available to artists today is the VPN provider. They don’t just offer internet protection; VPNs enable artists to share music in safety, reach fans in new regions and protect their material from piracy.

For independent artists, for whom security and global access are central, the kind of digital freedom VPNs offer is invaluable.

Labels vs. Freedom

Yes, labels still provide reach and resources, but they also come with constraints. Long contract lengths, less creative control, and relinquishing ownership are now seen as serious downsides. Increasingly, artists are finding they’d rather bet on themselves. Let’s not forget the waves Frank Ocean caused when he released Endless and Blonde across a two-day span to fulfill a contract obligation.

That independence produces authentic and personal music that hasn’t had to negotiate the executive obstacle course. Some of the acts once popping the corks on signing are opting out in favor of producing something themselves, despite the additional work that this approach can involve. However, this extra work pays in the form of full control, passionate fans, and being able to take ownership of every snippet they release.

A Cultural Realignment

Music fans are listening to more than just the beats these days. They’re asking: Who owns the songs? Who benefits when I’m listening to this song on the radio? There is now a bigger push for transparency and authenticity. Fans are lining up behind artists whose values are the same ones they have.

That cultural shift is redefining the business. Independent solo acts are generating huge numbers, scoring big promo deals, and selling out shows. Brands are noticing the potential in working with these voices, voices which communicate directly to a knowledgeable, committed audience.

Conclusion

Independent hip-hop in 2025 is redefining the industry. These artists are demonstrating that you can have a successful independent career through being creative, being strategic and being true to yourself. No gatekeepers. No watered-down messages. Real music for real fans. The movement’s only just begun. It’s building steam and redefining the rules for the better.

Chrisean Rock Accuss Kehlani Of Playing Victim After Blueface Drama

Chrisean Rock took aim at Kehlani during a livestream this week, accusing the singer of leveraging their short-lived friendship for attention and clout after a tense fallout involving Blueface.

Rock responded to Kehlani’s recent Instagram Story, where the R&B artist denied any romantic involvement with Blueface and called the allegations “literally beneath me.”

Rock fired back, mocking Kehlani’s tone and lifestyle.

“To end it with, ‘Oh, this is beneath me. Take care of your son.’ What’s beneath you?” she questioned. “Regular people? Cuz you live in a two-bedroom apartment in downtown LA. So quit all that high-power popping it, like you some big-shot shot caller. Chill. Like, for real. Ain’t nothing beneath you.”

The tension started after a church service and gym session where Rock claimed Kehlani told her to remove her Blueface tattoo and then admitted to having a past with the rapper.

“Why did you tell me that you dealt with him before?” Chrisean Rock added that Kehlani told her Blueface is a “master manipulator” and that she understands what Rock is going through with the rapper.

Furthermore, Rock insisted Kehlani never denied the alleged hookup and instead distanced herself after Rock confronted Blueface about it.

“First of all, I don’t even care,” she continued. “I don’t deal with him. We broken up. I don’t care. But the fact that you trying to make and play a victim card…”

Kehlani Clarifies Chrisean Rock Spat

Kehlani previously addressed the situation on Instagram Stories, writing, “You don’t have to make up nasty rumors and lie on me… that doesn’t fit my timeline, agenda, and is literally beneath me.”

She added that her decision to cut ties was about protecting her peace and safety as a mother.

But Rock wasn’t buying it. She claimed Kehlani was happy to be filmed during their gym hangout and accused her of using the moment for exposure.

“You was cheesing in the camera,” she claimed. “You was fanned out. What are you talking about? You was pressed to be in the camera.”

Rock also alleged Kehlani baited her into the situation for publicity, saying, “This a promo run for her records. Like, okay, cool. You used me and said f me because what?”

Kehlani had said she wouldn’t address the issue again, writing, “I’m deading any and all nasty mess one time and one time only… This wasn’t called for. Not addressing it again!”

EXCLUSIVE: Cardi B Fights Back Against “GreasyFry” Producers, Says Their Copyright Lawsuit Is Bogus

Cardi B is pushing to shut down a copyright lawsuit in Texas over her track “Enough (Miami),” arguing the plaintiffs never registered their song “Greasy Frybread” and can’t legally sue her in the state.

The Hip-Hop star and her record labels—Atlantic Recording Corp. and Warner Music Group—filed a motion to dismiss the case brought by Texas-based artists Sten Joddi and producer Kemikal956.

Joddi (real name Joshua Frausto) and Kemikal956 (Miguel Aguilar) released “Greasy Frybread” in 2021. The song was featured in the FX television series Reservation Dogs.

The duo claims Cardi B’s 2024 single lifted elements from their composition, specifically the melody and bassline, but not the lyrics.

But according to Cardi B’s legal team, the entire case is legally flawed from the start.

“It is black-letter law that a copyright registration is required to file a federal claim… The lack of a copyright registration therefore dooms these claims too because, as noted above, a registration is required before bringing any ‘civil action for infringement of the copyright in any United States work,'” attorney W. Andrew Pequignot wrote in the motion.

The plaintiffs originally filed a federal copyright claim, but since the work is not registered, that claim can’t move forward. They then attempted to pivot to a common-law copyright argument, which Cardi’s team claims is invalid because federal law supersedes state-level claims in these matters.

The lawsuit also includes claims of defamation, misappropriation, and unfair competition.

However, Cardi B’s attorneys argue those are just different ways of saying the same thing: that she allegedly copied their music. Since all the claims are based on that core accusation, they say the entire case is preempted by federal copyright law.

Beyond that, the Bronx rapper’s team argues that Texas courts shouldn’t be involved. Cardi B lives in New Jersey, and her labels are based in Delaware and New York.

Cardi B’s legal team also criticized the producers for repeatedly changing their claims and failing to present a consistent argument.

They asked the court to dismiss the case entirely and prevent any further amendments.

Jermaine Dupri Reveals How Many Millions He Spent At Magic City

Jermaine Dupri didn’t flinch when he told Fat Joe and Jadakiss on their “Joe and Jada” podcast that he shelled out $10,000 every Monday for two decades straight at Atlanta’s legendary Magic City strip club — a jaw-dropping habit that adds up to roughly $10.5 million.

“I spent $10,000 every Monday for 20 years straight,” Dupri said without hesitation while promoting his upcoming STARZ docuseries Magic City: An American Fantasy.

The five-part series, premiering Friday, August 15, delves into how Magic City became a cultural force in Hip-Hop, sports, and politics. Dupri, who serves as an executive producer, uses the show to explore the club’s influence on music and Black culture — and clearly, he’s got the receipts to back up his loyalty.

Dupri isn’t just behind the camera. He’s also dropping a full-length album inspired by the docuseries, with the lead single “Turn Around” — featuring T.I., 2 Chainz and Young Dro — released on Friday, June 13.

While Dupri was reminiscing about his Magic City Mondays, Fat Joe chimed in with his own strip club saga.

After his 2006 hit “Make It Rain” with Lil Wayne blew up, Joe said he had to take a break from the club scene altogether.

“I didn’t go to a strip club for about 3 years till it got played out,” he said. “They was killing me.”

He added that every time he walked into a club, they’d shout out “Mr. Rain” and expect him to start tossing stacks.

“It’s not good for me to go in the strip club because they putting major peer pressure on me,” he said.

Magic City: An American Fantasy airs Fridays at 10 P.M. ET on STARZ starting August 15.

Drizzy Tae Unveils Highly-Anticipated New Album “NC-17”

Today marks a major milestone for rising artist Davontae, aka Drizzy Tae, as he drops his highly anticipated new album NC-17.

It’s been a big week for the Arkansas native — he just turned 18 a few days ago, and now he’s stepping confidently into a new chapter with a 10-track project that blends Pop and R&B sounds, a leap from his early days rooted in rap.

Tae wrote and recorded the majority of NC-17 at age 17, hence the name.

“This album is really my first step into adulthood,” Tae says. And it shows — the record explores themes of first love, tour life, heartbreak, and self-belief, capturing the raw emotion and transition of being 17 in today’s America.

Drizzy Tae has been at it since he was just 9 years old, making noise with rap singles like the fan-favorite “Heart Closed” with Luh Kel, and “Rock Star” with Lil Zay Osama.

But his sound began to shift after working with platinum producer Travis Marsh, who encouraged him to lean into the smooth, emotional soundscape of R&B — the genre Tae always quietly loved.

“One cool full circle moment is that one performer I looked up to as a kid was 2kBaby — and he’s actually on this album!” Tae shares. That collaboration comes in the form of the track “Softest Woman.”

“Basically, this shows me that if you continue to believe in yourself, any of your dreams can come true.” He adds, “I want to thank all the people who have been on this road with me. I’m so thankful for the fans who lifted me up when I was down. This album is for all of you.”

So, what’s next?

“I’m about to drop the music video for ‘Rock Star’ with Lil Zay Osama — we shot it last time I was in L.A.,” he says.

Another full-circle, dream-come-true moment for Tae — and just the beginning of what’s shaping up to be a huge year for this talented young artist.

NC-17 is streaming now on all platforms.

Tina Knowles Rejects Accusations Of Dissing Nicki Minaj Over JAY-Z Drama

Tina Knowles shut down speculation that she threw shade at Nicki Minaj after a recent Instagram post was interpreted as a jab amid Minaj’s ongoing feud with JAY-Z and Roc Nation.

The drama kicked off when Knowles shared a fan-made video celebrating her bond with her daughter, Beyoncé.

The original caption included a line that read, “Good morning. It feels good to wake up knowing my favs didn’t lose their minds like some people. Y’all have a great day, remember to ignore the ignorance as @mstinaknowles would say.”

That sentence lit up Minaj’s loyal base, the Barbz, who took it as a sly dig aimed at the rapper following her recent tirade against JAY-Z and Roc Nation.

Barbz quickly swarmed Knowles’ Instagram comments, accusing her of taking sides in the escalating tension between Minaj and JAY-Z. The backlash prompted Knowles to revise the caption and issue a public statement denying any hidden meaning.

“Please stop being messy and dragging me into something I don’t have anything to do with,” Knowles wrote. “I reposted this because it was talking about our relationship. It had nothing to do with anyone other than Me and Beyonce … You guys should be ashamed !!!”

Nicki Minaj Goes After JAY-Z In Heated Rant

Despite her direct response, the internet remained split. The timing of the post added fuel to the fire, as Minaj had just launched a series of pointed attacks on JAY-Z and Roc Nation between Monday (July 8) and Tuesday (July 9).

She accused JAY-Z of shortchanging her by $100–200 million over her equity in Tidal, the streaming platform he sold in 2021. She also mocked Roc Nation after a judge allowed a lawsuit against Megan Thee Stallion, one of their managed artists, to move forward.

Minaj didn’t stop there. She also took aim at Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez, resurfacing old legal issues and accusing her of misconduct.

The rapper even reposted headlines about an alleged JAY-Z paternity case, fueling online speculation and dragging the mogul’s name into trending territory.

Beyoncé Stuns Atlanta With Golden Flying Horse After Onstage Scare

Beyoncé swapped a glitchy flying car for a dazzling golden horse during her “16 Carriages” performance in Atlanta on Thursday night (July 10) after a near-miss in Houston forced a change in staging.

The superstar songstress’ new airborne prop—a metallic gold mechanical horse complete with spinning rims—made its debut on the opening night of her Atlanta stop on the “Cowboy Carter Tour,” drawing loud cheers and lighting up social media timelines.

The horse replaced a suspended car that had malfunctioned during her June 28 show in Houston, where it tilted mid-air and left her hanging above the crowd.

“Stop. Stop, stop, stop, stop,” Beyoncé said calmly as the music cut and the stadium went silent. Her crew quickly lowered her to safety. No one was injured, and the show resumed shortly after.

She later posted a video montage of the mishap with the caption “Sittin’ Sidewayz.”

The golden horse, which appeared to float above the stage, was met with praise from concertgoers who said it better matched the tone of “16 Carriages” than the original car prop.

Some speculated online that the horse had always been part of the plan but was delayed due to production holdups.

Adding to the night’s buzz, Beyoncé’s daughter Rumi had a brief spotlight moment during “Protector,” where she smiled at the audience and joined in on a trending TikTok dance, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

The original car prop has since been pulled from the tour. Parkwood Entertainment confirmed the Houston incident was a technical issue and emphasized that Beyoncé was unharmed.

Skepta Torches A$AP Rocky & Joyner Lucas On “Friendly Fire” As UK Vs. US Rap Rivalry Heats Up

Skepta stuck to his word on Friday (July 11) when he dropped “Friendly Fire” and took shots at A$AP Rocky and Joyner Lucas in a no-frills diss that reignited the simmering UK vs US rap rivalry.

The grime pioneer, who recently challenged American rappers to a lyrical showdown, opened fire on his former collaborator A$AP Rocky with a jab at his musical output and fashion priorities:

“Praise the lord, you want beast? Then I’ve got this/You haven’t had a hit song for the longest/Too concerned with your clothes/You should be focusing on flows.”

Skepta then turned his attention to Joyner Lucas, delivering a scathing verse that mocked his rap style: “Joyner Lucas, you bastard/Why you rap like you studied at Harvard?/Catch ’em outside and move to him, heartless/Cuts, bruises, and plasters/If I see him on tour in London, I jump on stage and move to his dancers.”

He didn’t stop there. Skepta made his stance clear with a blunt declaration: “Where I’m from, I’m a goat. Where you’re from, you’re a joke.”

Skepta – Friendly Fire

The track quickly lit up social media, with listeners cracking jokes and predicting how Joyner might clap back.

One user quipped, “Joyner finna rap from the perspective of a crumpet.” Another joked, “Joyner Lucas about to drop a diss track in his own voice and in Skepta’s accent. This s### gon be easy money for Joyner.”

A third added, “Joyner bout to rap from the perspective of a UK soldier during WW2 eating beans and toast.”

Skepta opened up about the motivation behind the track and his recent posts, claiming US rappers have always looked down on UK artists.

“Time to get the respect we deserve,” Skepta declared during a recent interview. He added that he’s not saying British rappers would “annihilate” their American counterparts but insisted, “It’s definitely possible.

The diss follows Skepta’s posts last week when he publicly called for a transatlantic rap battle to settle the long-standing rivalry between UK and US Hip-Hop. He emphasized the challenge was about lyrical skill, not beef: “no violence, just bars, punchlines and counteractions.”

Skepta even laid out a fantasy card of matchups, including himself vs. A$AP Rocky, Ghetts vs. Eminem, Chip vs. Kendrick Lamar, Dave vs. Lil Wayne and Central Cee vs Jack Harlow.

He argued that UK artists have an advantage due to their grime roots and deep study of American rap, while US rappers rarely return the favor.

Joyner Lucas was one of the first to accept the challenge, prompting Skepta to promise he’d be mentioned in the diss aimed at Rocky. He kept that promise.

Dallas Maverick Klay Thompson & Megan Thee Stallion Romance Goes Viral

Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion have confirmed they’re dating. The Dallas Maverick sharpshooter was spotted in the background of a sexy tropical pic shared by Megan—and the internet did the rest.

The Houston rapper, known for bars and looks, didn’t tag Thompson, but we knew where this was going immediately. She didn’t crop him out either and that’s all we needed. Is there anything else to be said here? Meg’s dating life has almost taken the lead over here career in music, but let’s take a trip down memory lane.

Only a few months ago, Megan was romantically linked to Boston Celtics small forward Torrey Craig, making this her second known NBA connection in recent memory. And before that? She was reportedly dating international soccer star Romelu Lukaku. But that just fizzled.

Apparently, Megan has a soft spot for elite athletes. Her love life reads like an all-star lineup, where is the all-star music? This has become a common comment across social media. We want bangers not boyfriends! Megan remains one of the most talked-about women in entertainment. Not everyone’s buying into this hype. I find it boring.

Regardless, the Megan x Klay link-up is official. Maybe Megan Thee Stallion’s next project will be a love song or a breakup anthem that doesn’t involve twerking. Quite interesting is how the internet has taken to this news.

Clipse Reunite With Pharrell Williams For Blistering Comeback Album “Let God Sort Em Out”

Clipse returned with a vengeance and a message on Let God Sort Em Out, their first album in 16 years, released Friday (July 11), packed with heavyweight features and sharp-edged verses aimed at old allies and new targets.

The sibling duo—Pusha T and Malice—delivered 13 tightly produced tracks, clocking in at just under 40 minutes, marking their first full-length project since 2009’s Til the Casket Drops.

The album, produced entirely by Pharrell Williams, marks a shift from their earlier work with The Neptunes, as Pharrell flies solo on the boards for the first time in Clipse history.

The album’s rollout was anything but quiet.

“Chains & Whips,” featuring Kendrick Lamar, stirred controversy online. According to Pusha, the track’s content led to a standoff with Def Jam/Universal, prompting Clipse to exit the label and sign a distribution deal with Roc Nation.

The album’s themes dig deep—grief, redemption, and spiritual reckoning are front and center.

Guest appearances read like a Hip-Hop wish list: Tyler, the Creator, John Legend, Nas, Stove God Cooks, Ab-Liva, The-Dream, and gospel collective Voices of Fire all contribute.

The rollout included a U.S. tour from August through September, a COLORSxSTUDIOS performance, and a high-profile listening session at Louis Vuitton’s Paris headquarters. Despite multiple leaks ahead of release, the album still generated significant buzz.

Social media lit up with reactions, especially around Malice’s return.

One user posted, “Everybody was talking about Pusha because of the drama during the rollout, but Malice stayed quiet and literally left earth on multiple songs.”

Another added, “Malice should be mentioned more in your top rapper convos.”

The project is available across all platforms, with limited-edition vinyl offered through select outlets.

Sexyy Red, Justin Bieber, Cash Cobain & Gunna Have Something In Common

Sexyy Red, Justin Bieber, Cash Cobain and Gunna? It looks like Justin Bieber might be gearing up to go berserk on his next album.

This would be his first full-length release in about four years! And from the looks of it, he’s planning to make a serious splash. Bieber has always had a strong connection to Black culture and Hip-Hop, dating back to his early collaborations with Ludacris, Big Sean, Chance The Rapper and Travis Scott. We aren’t going to mention the Diddy connection. Did I just do that? He even worked with DJ Khaled and Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. Despite his pop roots, he’s managed to stay culturally relevant and respected in the rap and R&B space.

On Wednesday night (July 9), I was at an event when a Justin Bieber song came on, and honestly, it felt great. It was poppy and fun. We need more lighthearted music that is full of good energy. These days we got a lot of darker, moodier stuff. If he decides to lean into that feel-good vibe, please let them lean, too. I’m all the way here for it. After four years, don’t mess this up.

Whether he’s linking with Sexyy Red, Gunna,or someone unexpected, I’m just hoping it hits. If you’re gonna go that route, go all in, Biebs.

Cardi B Goes In On Men: “They Will Have Us On A Leash, Eating Dog S###”

Cardi B lit up Twitter Spaces on Thursday night (July 10) with a no-holds-barred rant about sexist dudes and double standards—and she didn’t sugarcoat a damn thing.

The Hip-Hop star went off about how men online (and in real life) love to tear women down, especially when they’re just out here living their lives.

“If men can, they will keep us on a f###### leash and will have us f######, I don’t know, eating dog s### every f###### day,” she snapped.

Cardi’s not new to this convo, but this time, she really let it rip. She called out the way women get dragged no matter what they do—whether they ask for child support or don’t, whether they stay quiet or speak up.

“You could be the most unproblematic b####. Don’t get no order of protection. Don’t ask for no child support. Don’t ask for no alimony. Don’t ask for no spousal support. Men will still condemn the women for leaving.”

Even when women are loyal, hardworking and minding their business, Cardi says they still get labeled.

“Men can see how hard the woman work. Men can see that the woman is such a good mom, and they still will come online and condemn you and call you all type of w#####, all type of s####, all type of evil, all because you’re enjoying your life… and that’s men online in general. So if that’s men online in general, that’s men in real life,” Cardi B fumed.

She also clapped back at those who keep bringing up her past as a stripper, as if it were a character flaw. And she reminded everyone that she was married to Offset for seven years without stepping out.

Cardi B secretly tied the knot with Offset in September 2017 despite repeated public drama over separations and divorce filings in 2020 and August 2024.

They share three kids together: daughter Kulture, born in 2018; son Wave, born in 2021; and their youngest, Blossom, who arrived in 2024.

As of mid-2025, Cardi is pressing forward with divorce, demanding primary custody while claiming Offset rarely spends time with their children.

“I’m a great, amazing mother, and I am a property owner, and I am a business owner, and I’m a high-stat rapper. I’m great at everything that I f###### do, and if I’m not great at what I do, I practice till I become the best I can be.”

Michael Rapaport Addresses Antisemitism After Auschwitz Image Fallout: “I Apologize”

Michael Rapaport faced backlash this week after posting a digitally altered image of a Holocaust victim in a concentration camp, prompting him to issue a public apology and clarify his intentions on Thursday (July 10).

The actor addressed the controversy on Twitter (X) after sharing what he believed was an authentic photo of a concentration camp prisoner. Rapaport, who has frequently used his platform to highlight Holocaust history, admitted the particular post drew more attention than any of his previous efforts.

“The Holocaust is a stain on humanity,” he wrote. “Today there is a historic rise in antisemitism that has not been seen since the 1930’s globally. I have shared hundreds of stories and images about concentration camps on my social medias because we must never forget the atrocities committed. None of those posts got the attention that this one did.

“I apologize to any Jewish people that I have offended me by posting an image that I believed to be real. It could have been real but in this artificial world we live in, it turned out not to be. October 7th, 2023 changed me and millions of other people for better or worse. I’m not going to stop speaking out for the Jewish people and you’re welcome to run any stories you want about it. What I did and do is for all the right reasons.”

The image, which depicted a person playing a violin at Auschwitz, was later revealed to be generated by artificial intelligence.

The Auschwitz Memorial and Museum in Poland criticized Rapaport for circulating the misleading image, calling attention to the dangers of spreading inaccurate representations of historical atrocities. The museum didn’t hold back in its response, stating the image was “a fake photo generated by artificial intelligence.”

Beyond his acting and social media presence, Rapaport—a longtime Hip-Hop fanatic—directed the 2011 documentary Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest, which chronicled the rise and internal struggles of the legendary Hip-Hop group.

Jay-Z Goes After “Secret Son” In Court In Attempt To Shut Him Down

Jay-Z has pushed back against a federal lawsuit from a man claiming to be his son, calling the accusations “fabricated” and part of a long-running campaign of harassment.

In newly filed court documents obtained by Us Weekly, the Hip-Hop mogul requested a federal judge dismiss the case brought by 32-year-old Rymir Satterthwaite, who filed the suit on May 6.

Satterthwaite alleges Jay-Z has avoided taking a paternity test and has worked to keep him quiet.

Jay-Z described the lawsuit as “just the latest” in a string of legal actions initiated by Satterthwaite and his godmother.

“The fabricated allegations and claims have been addressed – and rejected – in multiple other courts, and continued harassment and disregard of those orders has already resulted in a contempt order,” the filing states.

Satterthwaite claims his mother, Wanda, had a relationship with Jay-Z in the early 1990s. After her death, he was raised by his godmother. In the lawsuit, he accuses the rapper and his associates of attempting to silence him and suppress the truth about his alleged paternity.

He told the Daily Mail in December, “Why can’t he prove me wrong? Go to the courtroom and do what everyone else has to do. I can take a no. I can take being embarrassed. I just can’t take him not saying anything. It is not fair.”

Satterthwaite maintains he isn’t seeking money or attention but wants clarity. He alleges that Jay-Z has never directly responded to his claims or agreed to a DNA test.

The legal dispute has spanned multiple jurisdictions over the years, with previous attempts to pursue the case reportedly being dismissed. A

According to the court documents, Jay-Z’s legal team argues that the matter has already been resolved in other courts and should not be revisited.

A judge has yet to rule.

Kanye West’s Planned Appearance Causes Entire Hip-Hop Festival To Be Canceled

Kanye West received some bad news from Slovakia after protests and artist boycotts led to the cancelation of his headlining gig at the Rubicon Festival.

The Rubicon Festival, which was supposed to go down July 18–20 outside Bratislava, was completely scrapped after locals freaked out because West’s name was on the bill.

The rapper was listed as the main act for what promoters had hyped as his only European show of the year, but that plan fell apart quickly.

Organizers dropped the news on Instagram, saying, “It is with regret that we announce: Rubicon Festival will not take place this year. This was not an easy decision. Due to media pressure and the withdrawal of several artists and partners, we were unable to deliver the festival at the standard of quality you deserve.”

They added, “We understand this news is disappointing, and we truly apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused.”

Translation: too many people bailed and the backlash got too loud.

The drama kicked off last month when more than 6,000 people signed a petition demanding Kanye West be dropped from the lineup.

The petition slammed him for “repeatedly and openly adhering to symbols and (an) ideology connected with the darkest period of modern global history.”

Slovak media also threw some shade, pointing out that the festival site was literally just a wheat field.

West has been under fire for dropping a track called “Heil Hitler” and selling s####### tees on his site earlier this year.

Meanwhile, another outlet reported that West might hit the stage in Prague this September, but no official confirmation has been made. As of now, West hasn’t said a word about the cancellation.

Mariah Carey Goes Viral Over Jeff Bezos Wedding Reply

Mariah Carey shut down a nosy paparazzo in Malibu after getting hit with a random question about Jeff Bezos’ over-the-top wedding in Italy.

The Mariah Carey moment happened earlier this week when she was out strolling with her crew in Malibu and got ambushed by a photographer who clearly thought they were slick.

The dude asked her, “What did you think about Jeff Bezos’s wedding?” and without missing a beat, Mariah hit him with a dry, “I wasn’t there.”

But the pap didn’t stop there. He pushed again, asking, “Were you not invited or what?” That’s when Mariah clapped back with a sharp, “Oh, don’t turn this into that.

The clip, which popped up on TikTok via the Paparazzi Videos account, instantly blew up.

Social media went wild, with folks comparing it to her legendary “I don’t know her” moment from 2003 when she shaded Jennifer Lopez without even blinking.

One person joked, “She doesn’t know them,” while another added, “I was waiting for her to say… I don’t know them.” Someone else chimed in, “Haha she doesn’t care about Bezos wedding, she’s Mariah Carey!”

The Bezos bash was a three-day flex in Venice, Italy, packed with A-listers like Kim Kardashian and Orlando Bloom, but clearly, Mariah wasn’t on the guest list—or didn’t care to be.

No word yet from her team, and honestly, she probably doesn’t feel the need to explain anything.

French Montana & Dubai Princess: Is Bag Secured?

French Montana and royalty? That’s the headline we didn’t know we needed this summer. The Bronx-raised, battle-DVD-tested, Morocco-born rapper has apparently locked in with an actual princess from Dubai. A real princess, ya’all. This sounds like a movie.

Let me back up. I know how this sounds, but I’m going to give myself some space to act out. Don’t judge me. Don’t @ me. Let’s just walk through this.

For those of us who go back with French, we remember when he was the DVD kingpin….all Coke Boys, all street raps, all hoodie days. The dude was documenting—literally interviewing—the New York underworld. So to see this guy holding hands with someone who probably has more money than Trump is crazy work.

The internet got a taste of their love and went crazy. It was giving us Jay Electronica and Kate Emma Rothschild vibes. French looked like he just got baptized. The princess was flawless. No cap. You know we all said, “He secured the bag!”

But I’m thinking this is love. Word on the street is that the princess’s father—ahem, The King—fully approves of the relationship.

On the low, people are also happy French Montana avoided that Diddy crap. French has kept his name squeaky clean. That’s not luck. “He’s out of here” is the message I’m receiving.

French Montana’s life as a rapper hasn’t exactly been poppin’ as of late. But that doesn’t mean he fell off. That just means the landscape shifted. Some of us are sitting in our “Ted Bundy chairs,” as he takes the throne. We once played Coke Wave mixtapes and now play podcasts on 2x-speed. It is what it is.

But you know what? French Montana looks happy and healthy. Flex, brother, flex! Now, I’m about to go play some Montana music and find my princess. Let the Googling of flights to Dubai begin.

What’s Really Going On With JAY-Z & Nicki Minaj?

What’s really going on between Nicki Minaj and JAY-Z? I’ve been trying to figure it out because some of the things Nicki has been saying lately just don’t add up. I admit I don’t know it all. In my opinion, some of her comments have been completely outrageous.

And after all this time, it’s surprising to see this much venom directed at JAY-Z, one of the people who helped elevate her career in the early days. But that’s just how I see it. Nicki has her own side of the story, which is playing out on social media. Either way, what we think doesn’t really change the facts. There’s a lot of noise happening on social media, especially on Twitter, but what are the actual legal moves behind the scenes?

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by AllHipHop (@allhiphopcom)

What I gather, Nicki believes Jay is responsible for derailing her career and paper. She wants compensation for her her financial instability to the tune of 100 million smackeroos. One post claimed she never got her equity in Tidal because she didn’t sign off on her paperwork. That mistake allegedly cost her millions. The thread goes even further, saying she’s now facing financial losses, has liens against her name and was forced to tour for free to cover debts. Allegedly. The post basically accuses Jay of foul play—and that includes Roc Nation, which once managed her and is a branch of Live Nation.

What’s interesting is that these claims might be breadcrumbs to a deeper story. But again, I can’t tell what’s real and what’s just smoke. So check this out and let me know what you think.

Now, there’s this: this tweet seems to be something the OP paraphrased from mogul Steve Stoute. Everybody knows he’s considered one of JAY-Z’s closest allies. The OP repackaged them as their own take. Later in the thread, the person admitted the information came from Stoute. Stoute is likely to support Jay’s narrative rather than Nicki’s. By the way, Jay hasn’t commented publicly. Still, even filtered through that lens, it provides some perspective into how business deals may have gone sideways.

Jigga and Nicki’s relationship, it hasn’t always been this tense. At one point, Jigga Man co-signed Nicki. From my POV, he and others put her in position to win, bringing her to broader audiences. At this point, I’m thinking I could be wrong. Now, we are deep in the mess.

Nicki even posted cryptic comments last year, hinting at betrayal. This beef has been simmering for a while. Follow the smoke, folks. If it ever came down to bars, Nicki’s pen is still crazy.

Nicki Minaj Blames Roc Nation CEO For Swatting Incidents In Scorched Earth Post

Nicki Minaj went nuclear on Roc Nation and its CEO Desiree Perez, accusing her of being behind the swatting calls that sent cops to her house multiple times in the past year.

In a wild rant on social media, Nicki connected the dots between her own swatting incidents and the legal drama between Perez and her daughter Demoree Hadley, who’s currently suing her mom for allegedly trying to get her locked in a psych ward.

She accused Perez of running the same playbook on her that she allegedly used on her own daughter.

“Isn’t it funny how demoree claims they kept trying to convince others that she was ‘crazy’ & even had PAID medical professionals & fake Nike reps involved doing mental assessments on her w/o her permission???” Nicki said on X.com.

Nicki’s been swatted multiple times at her LA home — including bogus reports of shootings, child abuse and even a fake house fire.

Back in June 2023, cops showed up twice in one day after someone falsely claimed her son was being abused and later that her house was on fire.

She later outed a woman named Stephanie Bell as one of the people behind the hoaxes. Bell ended up getting hit with criminal charges.

Now Nicki’s saying this isn’t just random — she’s pointing fingers directly at Roc Nation’s top boss.

“Remember the 3 Times my home was swatted, claiming a ‘man’ in the home had a gun?!?!! Does this not all sound FAMILIAR to what did & what IS happening to me?!?!!” Nicki posted.

She also backed up Demoree Hadley, who’s suing Perez for allegedly using her industry clout to get her committed to mental facilities in Florida — even though drug tests came back clean and prosecutors found no evidence to support Perez’s claims.

Hadley says her mom even tried to frame her husband for abuse to get him locked up.

“Desiree I’m not your daughter you stupid obsessed hoe. You hoping & praying ALL the truth don’t come out, huh? It’s OVER FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Nicki’s been beefing with Roc Nation for a minute. She’s claimed they owe her up to $200 million from her Tidal equity and has accused them of running smear campaigns against her.

She’s also taken shots at Megan Thee Stallion, a Roc Nation client after a judge allowed a lawsuit against her to move forward after a photographer claimed the Houston hottie made him watch her have sex in a car.

Nicki ended her rant with a warning: “Yall gon give me back EVERY FKNG THING you STOLE from me. WITH INTEREST.”

Kanye West’s Ex-Assistant Says He Offered Her As “Sexual Gift” In New Complaint

Kanye West has been hit with a new claim in court—his ex-assistant says he tried to pass her off as a “sexual gift” during a business trip in San Francisco.

The lawsuit, originally filed in 2024, has now been updated with more graphic details.

According to a second amended lawsuit filed this week, Lauren Pisciotta says Kanye West accused the rapper of sexual assault, sex trafficking, false imprisonment and several other serious allegations.

The alleged incidents went down while West was working on his Donda Academy project and during a studio session with Diddy. Pisciotta claims West started making creepy moves on her while they were staying at a hotel.

She says he kissed her without consent, asked her nasty questions and even masturbated in front of her before passing out mid-sentence. But it didn’t stop there.

In the complaint, she says West “shoved her onto the bed, pinned her down and forced his penis into her mouth.” She says she begged him to stop and “froze in shock and fear.”

Pisciotta says West tried to trade her like some kind of party favor. According to her, he “offered her as a sexual gift to someone in exchange for West having sex with that person’s significant other.”

She also claims West had a habit of “offering women as sexual gifts to men.” Pisciotta also accuses West of not paying her a promised $3 million severance after firing her in 2022.

West’s legal team already asked the court to toss the whole case, calling it “baseless.” But West didn’t stop there—he went off on Twitter (X) earlier this year with an offensive post about Pisciotta.

“YOU KNOW WHY I NEVER F##### LAUREN PISCIOTA…CAUSE SHE SMELT AKWARD
AND HALF THE NBA CAN ATTEST TO THAT LAUREN IF YOU OUT THERE I GOT ONE PIECE OF ADVICE…FREEZE YOUR EGGS CAUSE NOBODY WANTS THEM,” he wrote, taking a direct shot at her body.

Kanye West also called the lawsuit an extortion attempt and has refused to apologize or admit to anything. No word yet on when this case will go to trial, but it’s clear this legal fight is far from over.
