W. Kamau Bell Says “Cliff Huxtable” Would Approve Upcoming Docu-Series On Bill Cosby

W. Kamau Bell has made a docu-series about troubled comedian Bill Cosby.

“We Need to Talk About Cosby” will premiere on the network Showtime eight days after its first showing at the Sundance Film Festival in January, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“I was a huge fan of all his shows and wanted to be a comedian because of him,” the United Shades of America host explained. “I never thought I’d ever wrestle with who we all thought Cosby was and who we now understand him to be. I’m not sure he would want me to do this work, but Cliff Huxtable (Cosby’s character on The Cosby Show) definitely would.”

Throughout the four-part series, Bell explores the comedian’s “desire for power”, his public persona, and the multiple accusations of sexual assault made against him.

“Kamau has bravely ventured into a very complicated and nuanced area of the Bill Cosby story, which has yet to be explored in this depth,” Showtime executive Vinnie Malhotra said of the series. “It’s an important and under-reported perspective on the legacy of one of history’s most iconic African American entertainers.”

In June, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned Cosby’s 2018 sexual assault conviction and he was released from prison after serving almost three years of the potential 10-year sentence.

Jay-Z Shoots Down Verzuz Comp: “Can’t Nobody Stand On That Stage With Me”

Jay-Z has finally made a definitive statement on the prospects of him jumping on the Verzuz stage, the wildly popular platform that has captivated live and virtual audiences.

“Can’t nobody stand on that stage with me. I’m just telling y’all the real,” Jay verbally said for thousands of listeners to hear. “You gotta stand in front of the “Grammy Family” verse performed live? I never even performed that live. Let’s move on from Verzuz.”

The mogul said that there is nobody on the planet that he can stand in front of and it be competitive.

The statement was made in a Twitter Spaces talkback with singer Alicia Keys in promotion of her new album Keys.

Conducted by Genius’s Rob Markman, the conversation was in promotion of the album, but eventually trailed off into various directions. And since Alicia is married to Swizz Beatz, one of the founders of Verzuz, it was a natural progression in the chat.

Jay-Z did not name names of anybody in particular, but simply stated that there would be no competition for him.

In recent months, people have speculated that maybe there could be a Nas Verzuz with Jay-Z. Rick Ross made an appearance on “The Real,” the daytime talk show, and suggested that he might be willing to do something with Hov.

This is the first time the Jay has shot down the possibility of doing it, as well as the very notion that there was competition for him.

The Roc Nation general would later comment that he loved Verzuz as a platform to recognize and “give people their flowers.“

“It truly is a beautiful thing—shout out to both Swizz and Tim,” Jay-Z said.

Alicia Keys would go on to give her husband his respect and Timbaland for founding the incredibly disruptive and revolutionary platform.

Michael B. Jordan Explains His Issues With Romantic Films

Michael B. Jordan ‘strayed away’ from romantic films as he couldn’t connect to characters

Michael B. Jordan shied away from signing up for romantic films in the past as he struggled to find the right emotions to connect with the characters.

During an interview with :BLACKPRINT, the 34-year-old discussed taking on his first romantic role in his upcoming film, “A Journal for Jordan,” and why he avoided romantic storylines in the past.

“I’ve usually kind of strayed away from love stories in the past,” he explained, adding that when he read a script he often couldn’t “tap into real emotions in that type of way that could really connect with the character.”

However, with the script for “A Journal for Jordan,” which is based on a memoir by The New York Times reporter Dana Canedy, Jordan had a change of heart.

The story involves Canedy giving a journal to her late husband before he leaves for active duty, something the actor connected to.

“I journal a lot,” the Fruitvale Station star continued. “So understanding the thought process behind leaving words and lessons in a journal for somebody to read later, I just love the idea of that. I connect with that personally.”

Another big incentive to join the project was being directed by “phenomenal talent and icon” Denzel Washington, with Jordan adding, “It was a dream to always work with him.”

Drake Gets His Wish After Judge Dismisses $4 Billion Lawsuit Against Him

A judge has thrown out a $4 billion lawsuit against Drake.

According to Billboard, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Virginia Keeny dismissed a defamation lawsuit filed by a woman named Mesha Collins. The plaintiff accused Drake of invading her privacy but couldn’t prove it in court.

“Plaintiff Collins has not demonstrated any of defendant Graham’s statements were about plaintiff Collins or that he used her identity, name or likeness in his Instagram posts or endorsements,” Judge Keeny wrote. “Even if plaintiff Collins could establish the statements were about her, she has failed to establish that such statements were of a private fact that is offensive and objectionable to the reasonable person.”

Collins claimed Drake revealed where she lived to the public and used her name in “defamatory matters.” But her lawsuit didn’t disclose her 2017 arrest for breaking into the OVO co-founder’s Los Angeles home.

In April 2017, Collins was caught trespassing inside the music superstar’s house by a member of his crew. She was arrested but avoided prosecution after Drake decided not to pursue charges against her.

Years later, Collins sued Drake for defamation. He denied knowing anything about her prior to the lawsuit.

“I have never met her and have never communicated with her,” he told the court. “I did not even know of Plaintiff until this lawsuit was filed and served. Indeed, I was unaware of Plaintiff’s identity, name or where she alleges she lives until the filing and service of this lawsuit.”

Drake’s lawyer Larry Stein called the lawsuit “baseless” in his motion to dismiss it. The judge agreed, putting an end to the civil case.

OUCH! Roc Nation Singer Maeta Bitten In The Face By Snake During Video Shoot

Roc Nation artist Maeta had a rough interaction with a snake during a recent video shoot.

Maeta shared a clip of herself getting bitten by a snake while shooting a music video. The 21-year-old singer was laying on the ground with two snakes placed on her when one of them bit her chin.

“What I go through to make videos for y’all,” she wrote on Instagram.

Roc Nation signed Maeta earlier this year. In April, she released a seven-track EP titled Habits as her debut project for Jay-Z’s label.

“I can’t believe I’m officially part of the Roc Nation family!” Maeta told Variety. “I am so thankful to Omar [Grant], Shari [Bryant] and the rest of the team for embracing me and believing in my dream.”

Roc Nation Co-President Omar Grant added, “Maeta has one of those rare natural voices that will stop you in your tracks. When I heard her sing live for the first time, she already had the poise, presence, and instincts of a much more established artist. I’m so glad she is beginning her career at Roc Nation.”

Maeta dropped a remixed edition of Habits in August. Her most recent release, a single called “Swangin’ On Westheimer,” arrived on DSPs in December.

Kanye West and Model Bae, Vinetria Call it Quits!

It seems as though Kanye West wants to be alone. Or, rather, free from his relationship with his bae, Vinetria. It’s official, Ye and his model girlfriend, Vinetria call it quits, this according to Page Six.

For example, most things ‘Ye garner a lot of attention. Did the unyielding public scrutiny prove too much for this faded romance? Perhaps, it relates to the grief of Virgil Abloh’s passing. Moreover, it could stem from Yeezy’s public desire to reconcile with his wife.

Recently, the “Praise God” lyricist, makes an unsuccessfully attempt to orchestrate reconciliation. During his Free Larry Hoover concert, which featured Drake, Kanye plan to coerce affection from his wife did not work. He laments, “I need you to run right back to me, more specifically Kimberly.”

Consequently, the overt declaration to his wife did not seem to go over well with Vinetria. Either way, the iconic MC is no longer dating his statuesque partner. To add insult to injury, Yeezus is no longer following her on IG. Let Page Six tell it, these two are done .

Although, the pair have only been dating “for a while,” hopefully both parties will be okay. The 22 year old is at the top of her game. She is, in fact a booked and blessed supermodel. Being Kanye West is always going to be enough.

Period. Check out Vinetria.

NLE Choppa Puts A Foot On Asian Man And…Well, You Know What’s Next!

Cancel Time!

Mc Hammer GIFs - Get the best GIF on GIPHY

NLE Chopper went and did it. Slowly, but surely the Asian Community is getting upset over the depiction in a new video by the rapper. First of all, lets talk about the complicated relationship between the Black community and the Asian. For the longest, we have seen tension and Hip-Hop helped put that in the front. Ice Cube was one of the biggest voices, but also movies like “Menace II Society” also. But, a lot of this was real life. Like Latasha Harlins, a 16 year old African-American girl, who was murdered by Soon Ja Du, a 51-year-old Korean-American bodega owner.  I don’t think they call it a bodega over there in South Central Los Angeles, but that was a real life case. I cannot fully explain the Asian side of things, but I do know that there are Koreans, Chinese, Japanese and others so I don’t want to be an idiot about this. Feel free to tell me about your side of things.

Black folks have been recently accused of “Asian Hate” after they have projected the weird notion that Covid-19 was the Asian Flu or something. Wild! Then some people even got violent in places like New York. Now, NLE Choppa is from Memphis, Tennessee and was born in the early 2000s. He does not know anything about all that.

Peep the art of “Drop Sh#t.”

Drop S###

Spoiler alert, there is a music video with the “story” of this Asian man trying to kill NLE at a BBQ with his family. I will let you see it for yourself, but NLE wins. The video is pretty tripping. I am gonna bet this was a strategic move to offend, but there’s a bit of history here as well. Peep the vid.

Choppa’s words were not nice and some would say racist. I do knock really know what happened before he went live or the vid was posted. But, it was wild to see him joking, “Ying Ying over here took my daddy seat.” YIKES! Anyway, check out the video and let me know what you think.

Is this bad story telling or bigotry?

NLE Choppa has not really said anything, but he did make a remark tht seemed to be directed at the “controversy.”

DJ Neptune Talks ‘Greatness 2.0,’ Enlisting All-Star Roster Of African Artists

DJ Neptune is a legend in his own right, and he continues to bless the masses with his music. Deemed the Funk Flex or DJ Khaled of Afrobeats, the Nigerian DJ, producer, and radio personality has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry, collaborating with nearly all of the top African artists in the game.

A decade in, Neptune proves no dream is too big, as he continues to live out his own on the daily.

Fast forward to 2021, DJ Neptune returns with his highly-anticipated album titled Greatness 2.0, the follow up to his 2018 debut Greatness. The new star-studded project hails a roster of all-star talent, including Mr. Eazi, Yemi Alade, Stonebwoy, Joeboy, Harmonize, Rema, Simi, Oxlade and Omah Lay, Patoranking, and more.

Spearheaded by lead single “Nobody” with Mr. Eazi and Joeboy, which peaked as the #1 song in Nigeria last year, the 16-track project truly showcases Neptune’s ability to bring the greats together, while creating his own feel-good sound.

AllHipHop: How’s the radio show going?

DJ Neptune: Pretty well, my show is Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays. I’ve been DJing for 20 years, but I’ve done radio for 8 to 9 years now, with different radio stations.

AllHipHop: How did you learn how to DJ?

DJ Neptune: I started DJing professionally in 2001, but the first time I had an encounter with a DJ was in 1999. I was at a friend’s party, and I saw a DJ live for the first time. I said “Oh my God, this feels like magic.” I caught an interest in it, started doing research on how to be a DJ. I met up with DJ Douglas, who’s based in the UK right now. I studied under him, that’s how I started my career.

AllHipHop: How does it feel to be one of the most well-recognized DJs in Nigeria?

DJ Neptune: It feels great when you work so hard and you get recognized for that. It’s a good feeling, it keeps you going and pushes you to want to do more. I’m just doing me, working hard. Trying to be one of the best out here in our continent, Africa. Nigeria’s where I’m from. We keep hustling and working.

AllHipHop: Let’s talk about Greatness 2.0! Fire project.

DJ Neptune: Thank you! I appreciate that.

AllHipHop: How does it feel to finally have it out?

DJ Neptune: It feels good putting the project out, and everyone gravitating towards it. It means all the hard work has paid off and been appreciated. Amazing body of work right there. 16 tracks, 15 new tracks aside from “Nobody” which was the #1 record of 2020. I feel good. I feel blessed. This makes me want to work more. The reception has been awesome.

AllHipHop: Mr. Eazi’s the OG, Joeboy’s the hottest new artist. How did it feel to bring both generations together?

DJ Neptune: Those are my boys, they’re like family. Myself and Eazi, we started working as far back as 2016. I was there when Joeboy came onboard via Eazi’s emPawa Africa platform, so it wasn’t that difficult. It was getting that beat across to Joeboy. Joeboy did his piece, sent it back to me. I reached out to Eazi like, “Yo, look at what myself and Joe just created.” Eazi wanted to be on the record, that’s how we came up with “Nobody.”

AllHipHop: How did it feel to go #1? That’s always a blessing.

DJ Neptune: Whew, it is a huge blessing. It was me doing me, getting appreciated, and making it to #1. It was a crazy moment. It was mixed-up feelings, because this is something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve always wanted to be great at this, so having a #1 record was a huge blessing. I appreciate everyone who played a major role in making that happen, also the consumers as well for loving the record. It all starts with that, I appreciate you guys.

AllHipHop: What’s your favorite song?

DJ Neptune: Every record on the album is my favorite. I love all the records on the project, but my favorite one is “Rise Up,” which is track one on the record. That’s because I put so much effort into creating that one record. I had an idea when I started, I’m so happy that everyone loves that song as well. It’s Hip-Hop, and we know how Afrobeats is huge out here in Africa. Afrobeats is taking over the world. Having people also listen to the Hip-Hop too, look at the message, it’s very motivating. It makes me feel happy. It’s the exact reaction I had in my head when I was creating “Rise Up.”

AllHipHop: You got 25 artists from all these different countries. How was it getting all those features? Was it hard?

DJ Neptune: [laughs] You know how it is. In life, if you really want to achieve something, you have to set your mind to it and work hard to get to it. It doesn’t really matter how long it took for me. I had a vision for this project, and I wanted to bring that to life. It wasn’t easy because even myself, I’m always on the road. I’m busy doing shows, having meetings, doing my radio gigs. I also put myself in the shoes of my colleagues who are also performing, trying to make records. They have their personal lives as well, but there’s time for everything. When it was time to make music, the ones I could get in the studio together, we did that. The ones that couldn’t make it out to my studio, I sent my ideas over to them. They delivered, and sent it back to me. It was cool.

AllHipHop: I love your mission, your message of how the sky’s the limit. What is greatness to you, and how did you display that on this second album?

DJ Neptune: Greatness to me, if you’re talking about the project, it means a lot because we put in so much work to achieve our sound. Dope collaborations, collaborations that have never been heard or seen before. The track with Omah Lay and Joeboy, this would be the first time those artists have collaborated together. Shout out to them for making that happen, all our other collaborations as well. Overall, being great means you’re on point with what you do. You’re 100%, you’re almost accurate in everything. That’s all I put into this project to make it a successful one.

AllHipHop: Can we expect more visuals?

DJ Neptune: Definitely! Some visuals are on the way already. “Only Fan” featuring Zlatan and Lojay just dropped. They’re very very talented. A lot of energy, a lot of dancing. It’s a party and danceable track, so a lot of dance involved. We shot it in London weeks ago. I can’t wait for it to drop, people will love it.

AllHipHop: What do you do when you’re not working? What do you do to have fun?

DJ Neptune: I just work at my studio. I’m walking to my studio now. It’s work, work, work, but I love to play sports when I have the chance. I love to travel as well, even though I’m always traveling. I’m always on the road.

AllHipHop: How often are you in the studio?

DJ Neptune: I’m always in the studio. Right before the album dropped, I had to take a break because I had to plan other stuff. I’m always here. This is like my house. If I’m not indoors, I’m in the studio.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio at all times?

DJ Neptune: My microphone, my sound guy, and my hard drive.

AllHipHop: What are your favorite songs to drop in a set?

DJ Neptune: Definitely any track from DJ Neptune, any track from Wizkid. Wizkid and Tems’ “Essence,” that’s a huge record. Joeboy as well, “Alcohol.” Fireboy’s “Peru”, Rema as well. Burna Boy, there’s too many hot Afrobeats records. The list is endless, you can’t box us right now. Afrobeats is on a whole different level.

AllHipHop: How does it feel that the world is catching on? Even in the US, we’re having all Dancehall/Afrobeats parties.

DJ Neptune: It feels good, what a great time to be alive. Imagine what Wizkid just did, sold out the 02 Arena in London for 3 nights. 20K strong, that’s 60K people attending for 3 nights. That’s huge for the culture. What this tells me is there’s room for a lot. There’s still a lot more coming, there’s still a lot more money to be made in the music business as an Afrobeats artist and DJ. Shout out Buju and Davido as well, always in my mix. Every Afrobeats artist if you make beautiful music, as a DJ I work with your song. If I didn’t mention your name, it’s because this is an interview and the list is long. It’s all love.

AllHipHop: Someone you want to collaborate with that you haven’t yet?

DJ Neptune: Wizkid, we’re always talking about working. Hopefully in 2022, we’ll have that. On the international side, I’d love to create something with Chris Brown. He’s very, very talented. He could dance, he could sing, all that. I’m open to anyone to be honest, because right now Afrobeats is at a level where it needs no more introduction. You don’t have to say anymore, “Oh, do you know this genre of music?” It just plays and people go, “Oh, I love that sound!” That’s Afrobeats, it is what it is.

AllHipHop: You’ve accomplished a lot in your career, any goals for yourself?

DJ Neptune: The major goal for me right now is to conquer the world. I want to be able to perform at different levels of events, big festivals, carnivals, concerts on that international level. That’s why we’re working hard. Because as a DJ, I play different genres of music. If you pull me in the EDM space, I will deliver 100%. If it’s Hip-Hop/R&B, we’ll go there. If it’s Afrobeats, that’s nothing. The main goal is to keep pushing, and shout out to everyone supporting as well. Together we’ll make it, we’re all going to get there.

AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let the people know?

DJ Neptune: My album is out! It’s my sophomore album, Greatness 2.0. A lot has gone into it. 16 tracks, amazing collaborations. If you love good music, if you love Afrobeats, if you love Hip-hop and R&B, there’s something for you to take back home on this project. Go stream it! It’s available on all digital platforms, a lot of visuals are coming as well. Keep supporting the boy, and you can connect with me on my socials. It’s very easy @deejayneptune.

Diddy Regains Control Of Sean John And Prepares For Global Domination

We thought we told you that he won’t stop!

Cause he absolutely doesn’t.

Hip-Hop mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs is now (again) the owner of his fashion brand, Sean John.

The man who brought the world The Notorious B.I.G., MA$E, and Total dished out $7.5 million to pull his beloved clothing line out of bankruptcy.

The price tag wasn’t cheap, but Diddy sold 90% of the brand to GBG USA Inc. in 2016, reportedly for around $70 million.

It wasn’t easy.

Despite the brand bearing his first and second name, he had to participate in an auction against four other parties to reclaim his rights.

Initially, he set up $3.3 million as his starting point in the auction, but bids continued to come, and he wound up paying a little over double to get his line back.

He, as Puff usually does, emerged the victor!

“I launched Sean John in 1998 with the goal of building a premium brand that shattered tradition and introduced Hip Hop to high-fashion on a global scale,” says Brother Love. “Seeing how streetwear has evolved to rewrite the rules of fashion and impact culture across categories, I’m ready to reclaim ownership of the brand, build a team of visionary designers and global partners to write the next chapter of Sean John’s legacy.”

As reported by AllHipHop.com, Sean John went into bankruptcy after the brand’s 90% owner, GBG USA Inc., fell on financial hardships.

Are you ready for a new velour tracksuit? Or do you think he is about to hit us with something brand new?

Drakeo the Ruler’s Mom Planning To Sue Over Son’s Tragic Death

Drakeo the Ruler’s mother plans to sue the parties responsible for security and safety at the Once Upon a Time in L.A. music festival after the rapper’s tragic death.

Banc of California Stadium and Live Nation are two parties that either hosted or produced the concert and will possibly be named.

According to Rolling Stone, Darrylene Corniel believes that someone should be held responsible, and she wants justice.

In the exclusive interview, she shared that her son, Darrell Caldwell, aka Drakeo the Ruler, was stabbed in the neck and rushed to the hospital on December 18th.

Because his death was considered a homicide, she could not hug or kiss him during his last moments. Instead, she had to view him through a window.

She said, “I need this to be out there. I need people to know. And I do want justice for my son. And I do believe that justice will be served. I will not rest until justice is served.”

Corniel shares that she is a teacher with a bachelor’s degree in child development and that her son was a caring father who had just taken his son to the Long Beach Aquarium days before his death.

The bereaved mother explained what she was told happened that night.

Her younger son, a rapper known as Ralfy the Plug, was with Drakeo backstage. The two were among a small group of people when a larger group flooded into the area. Her intel communicated to her that this was Y.G. and his entourage.

“They said there were, like, 40 to 60 people,” Corniel told the outlet. “They started trying to jump them.”

Her younger son, whose real name is Devonte Caldwell, tried to step in but to no avail.

“He was trying to fight, but when he turned around, he could see his brother with blood gushing out of him,” she said, reliving the tragedy through her baby’s eyes. “He was like, ‘Did they stab you?’ It was like, there were so many of them.”

While there were many people present, she wondered where the security was hired to keep everyone safe.

“This happened backstage at an event. Someone has to be held accountable,” she stated.

A spokesperson for Live Nation shared their sentiments in an email to Rolling Stone, saying, “We are extremely saddened by the passing of Drakeo The Ruler. Our thoughts go out to his loved ones and fans, and we’re doing everything we can to assist authorities in their investigation.”

Authorities are investigating how someone was allowed to get a weapon in. Another theory is that the weapon was already inside and whomever the suspect was picked it up after entering.

The mother still blames security.

“They let all these people in, and you’re not supposed to have all these people backstage. And your security is supposed to be in place,” Corniel continued. “The whole program should have been orchestrated a lot better than what it was. And there should have been more protection. Even if you have metal detectors, even if you pat them down, you let those people come in there. You had more people come in than you were supposed to. And you allowed them to jump my son. You didn’t protect my son.”

“Darrell, my son, had a good heart. He took care of those around him because I taught him that, to watch out for everybody,” she said. “People who really know my son knew he was a real individual. He had a genuine heart.”

Demarco On Getting Bounty Killer & Beenie Man on a track!

Demarco continues to invest into his craft. Thus far, over twenty years have been spent erecting musical memories. One of the Jamaican singer’s notable accomplishments is getting Bounty Killer and Beenie man on a track. This is truly a demonstration of “Homage.”

In fact, he is the only person in the entire world to attain this achievement. Within an AllHipHop exclusive, “Mr I Love My Life” dishes on the unique experience. Indeed, he is truly thankful.

For example, merely describing the Melody creator as grateful is an understatement. “It feels great. Growing up as a kid, Beenie Man and Bounty were my top artists,” he contends. To add more context D then offers, “Bounty especially was my idol in music. Even when me and my cousin and I used to go to America in the summers, when I’m on the plane we’d have clashes.”

Furthermore, he claims, “I’d sing Bounty Killer songs, he’d sing Beenie Man songs. We’d go back and forth.” The Reggae superstar is completely void of an abrasive ego. He goes on and points out, “To grow up and see I’m creating music with these icons is a blessing.”

Of course, the Dancehall giant ensures to include “Homage” on his debut album. The diverse project is an amalgamation. It offers a smooth collection of what music has to offer. “It’s a fusion of reggaeton, dancehall, pop, alternative, everything,” so says D.

To sum it up, Demarco’s official debut album, Melody is now available. Stay tuned! He has more to come. Even an unreleased Rihanna track is on the horizon.

Blac Youngsta “I’m Assuming” Allegedly New Young Dolph Diss

If nothing else, Blac Youngsta remains consistent. The C.M.G. affiliate is still showing a great disdain for the late Young Dolph. Yesterday (on Dec. 20), Blac drops a grave video. Then he goes on to allegedly aim a new diss track at Adolph “Young Dolph” Thornton, Jr.

First off, it’s no secret that there’s been entrenched animosity between Dolph and the “Anythang” rapper. Similarly, just last weekend, the Heavy Camp jefe acted a complete donkey. While in Dallas, during a performance he pauses to spark an unspecified loud pack.

Next, he stupefies the audience. As he starts to spit the notorious, “Shake Sum” diss record the spectators are speechless. So now, is a calculating Youngsta merely building on this controversy?

In addition to these insolent actions, the “Truth Be Told” rhymer drops the ultimate diss. This contemptuous behavior is allegedly squarely aiming at Young Dolph. Less than two months ago, the King of Memphis was murdered. However, Blac continues to express a callous level of disrespect towards him.

Therefore, “Im Assuming” is clear with its intent. Truly, it is working to amplify the “Birthplace” rapper’s one-sided beef. Yesterday (on Dec. 20), the ostentatious behavior reaches a depraved depth of disrespect. Dolph’s last name, “Thornton” is prominently appears in the video.

Perhaps, Blac Youngsta is merely looking to transform controversy into coins. He raps, “Murder what she wrote / you play with me you get murdered again / I dig your ass up and show your friend / I’m some evil twin.” Finally, he proceeds to add, “Heart-broken, some n##### done crossed me out / they want to see me down / I’m vicious, I’m smoking on my opps straight out the pound…”

Press play.

How Did The Drakeo The Ruler Death Fight Start?

Now, we can pretty much say NOW what we couldn’t say from the day Drakeo The Ruler was killed.

They are now pointing a finger[s] at YG and his camp in the death. This is not implicating YG personally but saying that the entourages just began to clash in a fight broke out, resulting in the death of Draco. But the mother isn’t saying there were crews fighting…she is saying they jumped in her boy.

Rolling Stone did an interview with the mom and she ain’t mincing words.

There are people online that are calling YG out in a major way but I am not going to post those videos because they are definitely incriminating him, snitching even. And that’s funny to me because I would never imagine somebody from the streets going directly onto social media to proclaim someone’s guilt. But this is where we are right now! At any rate, the reason I’m even writing this is because Drakeo‘s mother is now speaking.

And she is speaking very loudly.

Darrylene Corniel, Drakeo’s mother, said she is about to sue for her son. She said upwards of 60 people bumrushed Drakeo s soon as YG arrived.

“He was hit in his neck. I saw him when I went to the hospital. They said it’s a homicide, so I wasn’t able to hug him or kiss him or anything like that. I had to look at him through a window. I need this to be out there. I need people to know. And I do want justice for my son. And I do believe that justice will be served. I will not rest until justice is served.”

I saw video of Drakeo backstage bleeding myself. It was sad and pathetic to see it. I also know people that witnessed this entire thing. I do not think they would be willing to come forward. They are scared. Rightfully so.

Here’s a couple songs.

Hit-Boy Talks Jay-Z Missing Out On Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode” Beat

Chauncey Alexander Hollis Jr. (professionally known as Hit-Boy) is one of the most acclaimed Hip Hop producers of the last two decades. He has worked with Jay-Z, Kanye West, Beyoncé, Nas, Lil Wayne, Drake, Travis Scott, and many other high-profile recording artists.

Kanye West and Jay-Z’s “N##### in Paris” as well as Travis Scott and Drake’s “Sicko Mode” are two of Hit-Boy’s biggest production hits. Both songs are multi-Platinum records that are widely considered rap classics.

Hit-Boy was the latest guest on the Off the Record with DJ Akademiks podcast. The California native discussed having to hold the “Sicko Mode” beat for around two years before it made it onto Travis Scott’s 2018 album Astroworld. Apparently, Jay-Z could have had that track instead of Scott at one point.

“You know what’s funny? I played it for Hov,” Hit-Boy told DJ Akademiks. “When it dropped, [Jay-Z] was like, ‘Yo, I had this f###### “Sicko Mode” beat.’ I’m like, ‘Yep.’ [laughs].”

Hit-Boy added, “I don’t really promise beats. When I get paid, that’s who got the beat. You’re not going to Saks Fifth, you’re not going to Nieman Marcus, and being like, ‘Cool, I’m about to get a few outfits. I’m finna wear these s#### out, then I’m gonna think about paying you later.’ Like nah, n####. You gotta pay for this s### and then it’s yours.”

“Sicko Mode” became Travis Scott’s first #1 single on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. As of press time, the song is certified Diamond (10x-Platinum) by the Recording Industry Association of America. It was also nominated for two Grammy Awards (Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song).

Jay-Z may have missed out on having the “Sicko Mode” beat in his catalog, but the billionaire Hip Hop legend did find huge success with the Hit-Boy-produced “N##### in Paris.” The Watch the Throne track is certified 8x-Platinum and the winner of two Grammys (Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song).

Hit-Boy also found critical success as the production mind behind Nas’s Grammy-winning King’s Disease album and Big Sean’s well-received Detroit 2 album. Plus, the 34-year-old producer/rapper won one of his three Grammys for Nipsey Hussle’s “Racks in the Middle” featuring Roddy Ricch (Best Rap Performance).

In addition, Hit-Boy dropped the full-length collaborative projects Courtesy of Half-A-Mil with Dom Kennedy, Family Not a Group with SOB X RBE, and What You Expect with Big Sean. Hit-Boy recently won his second consecutive Producer Of The Year trophy at the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards.

Cedric The Entertainer Says Dave Chappelle Could End Up Canceling Himself

Dave Chappelle has become one of the most famous fighters against so-called “cancel culture.” The DC-raised comedian addressed the topic in several of his Netflix comedy specials, including 2021’s The Closer.

A few of Dave Chappelle’s jokes on The Closer, specifically references to the anti-transgender TERF movement, led to condemnation from some LGBTQ organizations. In response to the criticism, Chappelle declared, “If this is what being canceled is about, I love it.”

Fellow veteran comedian Cedric The Entertainer has now shared his thoughts on Dave Chappelle potentially being canceled by the public. Cedric spoke about the situation while appearing on The Domenick Nati Show.

“Once you feel you’re uncancelable or if you think that’s what you’re fighting for, that’s the wrong approach to take to saying something that you really want to say,” stated Cedric The Entertainer.

The Neighborhood star continued, “Not in the sense that ‘can’t nobody cancel me so I’m gonna say what I want to say.’ You can find out people will cancel your ass.”

After Domenick Nati suggested Dave Chappelle may cancel himself, Cedric The Entertainer responded, “That’s my point. He will end up canceling himself if he feels like nobody can cancel him. That’s what happens. You end up getting in people’s heads in a way where they turn you off.”

Cedric The Entertainer added, “It ain’t even so much about everybody else turning you off. It’s people just decide if you think you’re bigger and better than everybody and you literally start believing that, then people start to go like, ‘You know what? F### you, dog!'”

High School Students & Movie Distributors Cancel Dave Chappelle Following ‘The Closer’

Dave Chappelle did experience real-world negative reactions for his comments on The Closer. For example, Chappelle’s high school alma mater, the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, postponed a planned ceremony to name a theater after him following criticism from students.

In addition, Dave Chappelle admitted to having difficulties getting his untitled documentary picked up by distributors because of the controversy surrounding The Closer. Chappelle spoke about the lack of interest in his film in a stand-up clip posted to Instagram.

“This controversy came out about The Closer and they began disinviting me to film festivals,” said Chappelle. “And now today, not a film company, not a movie studio, not a film festival, nobody will touch this film. Thank god for Ted Sarandos and Netflix. He’s the only one who didn’t cancel me yet.”

However, Dave Chappelle is set to perform at the star-studded Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival which kicks off April 28, 2022. The “Dave Chappelle and Friends” show at California’s Hollywood Bowl is already sold out.

Aziz Ansari, Bill Burr, Chelsea Handler, Chris Rock, Damon Wayans, Ellen DeGeneres, Jerry Seinfeld, Kevin Hart, Larry David, Marlon Wayans, Pete Davidson, Seth Rogan, Tina Fey, Wanda Sykes, and more stand-up comics are part of the Netflix Is A Joke lineup as well.

Networks Pulled The Cosby Show From Syndication Following Sexual Misconduct Allegations Against Cosby

The Cosby Show originally ran on NBC from 1984 to 1992. The Thursday night hit was the #1 Nielsen-rated program on television for five consecutive seasons. It won six Emmy Awards including the honor of Outstanding Comedy Series in 1985.

Reruns of The Cosby Show were pulled from several networks after Bill Cosby faced numerous sexual assault allegations. Cosby was convicted of aggravated indecent assault in 2018 before that conviction was overturned by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in 2021.

Phylicia Rashād, the current Dean of Howard University’s College of Fine Arts, faced significant criticism for suggesting Bill Cosby being found guilty was a “miscarriage of justice.” However, Power star Naturi Naughton defended Rashād.

Naturi Naughton called out Black people for being “so quick to cancel each other.” The former 3LW member also ended her Instagram message in July with “#TheCosbyShowChangedLives.”
