Cardi B is “so proud” of herself after buying a New York home with husband Offset.
The “WAP” star took to Instagram to share a snap of herself standing in the grand foyer of the property, writing: “These days I don’t just live one place, I’m everywhere due to my work. One thing for sure I needed a home in my home city of NY!”
“I’m soo proud of myself. I work so hard for my children to be comfortable everywhere they are regardless of work. Me and my husband have always dreamed of having a crib in NY, and we have decided to add to our portfolio of homes, along with Atlanta and LA. Now having a home in NY, I can have get togethers with my family all the time!!”
Cardi, who grew up in New York’s Washington Heights, added that while she’s thrilled her hard work is paying off, she still has more things in her life she wants to achieve.
“I have accomplished so many things yet I still feel far from all the goals I want to accomplish,” she concluded. “This is one dream I can cross off… Let me know if ya’ll want a mini tour!”
Many know that Westside Gunn is a huge wrestling fan— but do they know how deep his love goes for the sport?
Probably not.
But the news of him helping out an independent female wrestler pay off her debt at her wrestling college.
Alexis Littlefoot took to social media to send up a pseudo bat call.
“Only $500 left to pay off Wrestling school. And only 8 mystery tees and 17 sable tees left on the shop.”

She was selling things to pay her tuition to her wrestling training school and like Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, one of her favorite rappers dropped in on the 11th hour from the 4th rope with a win.
The Griselda member took to Twitter to share his financial support of Littlefoot and said, “Pay that school off right now, we got work to do (prayer hands) #4thRope).” While he gave only $500, it meant the world to her.
The African-American Kentucky slammer tweeted, “My OG, my big homie. it’s f###### Griselda. Thank you so much. #4thRope LETS GET THIS WORK IN!”

“I ain’t on the ‘Gram, they record who I am,” rapped Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter on Drake’s “Talk Up” track. Jay-Z apparently had a change of heart about the social media platform.
A verified Jay-Z account is now live on Instagram. Hov’s first and only IG post, so far, is a poster for director Jeymes “The Bullitts” Samuel’s The Harder They Fall motion picture.
Jay-Z is one of the producers for The Harder They Fall which arrived on Netflix today (November 3). The Roc Nation founder also helped oversee the American Western’s official music soundtrack.
“The Westerns influenced the musicians of the time and now musicians are influencing the genre. Now, this music is informing the film and the Western. It’s the full circle,” stated Jay-Z about The Harder They Fall.
Only three Hip Hop acts have won an Oscar for Best Original Song – Eminem (“Lose Yourself”), Three 6 Mafia (“It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp”), and Common (“Glory”). Jay-Z’s wife, Pop culture icon Beyoncé, is also in consideration for the upcoming Best Original Song category with “Be Alive” from King Richard.
Jay-Z Talks Representation On TV & The Big Screen
The mostly Black cast of The Harder They Fall includes Jonathan Majors, Zazie Beetz, Delroy Lindo, LaKeith Stanfield, Danielle Deadwyler, Edi Gathegi, RJ Cyler, Damon Wayans Jr., Deon Cole, Regina King, and Idris Elba.
“The actors brought the experience of what we are living in now — it’s a different side of the same coin. We are paying tribute to the lost voices of the time. The story is a fantasy but the humanity each actor brought to the characters is extraordinary,” stated Jay-Z.
The billionaire mogul added, “I’m always drawn to the opportunity to tell stories that haven’t been told. There is a beauty and poetry to the script and the aesthetic. This may be a fictional story but it is about representation of those that built towns – built by Africans, those from the Caribbean, Asians, everyone – that we were never taught about in school. Now we get to see them, write, direct, and produce stories that we never saw on TV or the big screen.”
LL Cool J was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at the weekend receiving one of the night’s Awards for Musical Excellence.
He performed a set on the night featuring some of his biggest hits including “Go Cut Creator Go” and “Going Back to Cali.” He was also joined by Eminem on “Rock the Bells” and J. Lo on their hit “All I Have.”
Hall of Fame honourees have the opportunity to showcase artifacts from their careers in the annual Inductee Exhibit, LL’s choice was a bold one!
LL Cool J had the Audi from the 1987 cover restored after keeping it at his grandmother’s house for nearly 3 decades. The owner of the custom auto body shop, “Unique Rides,” spoke to TMZ about the automobile’s upgrade.
And you thought you'd seen the last of that little red car, didn't you? https://t.co/nJ8n5S8njM
According to Will Castro, the ’87 Audi 5000 needed a lot of work, around $35K worth. The inside was in pretty bad shape; they installed a custom 2-tone black leather interior with red piping to upgrade it. “Unique Rides” added a full stereo system with a vintage Blaupunkt cassette deck. They finished the revamp with new bodywork, a fresh paint job, and OG BBS wheels. They also performed a full engine rebuild.
Boosie Badazz continues to be the topic of conversation when it comes to the LGBTQ community. The heterosexual rapper has entangled himself in the discussion by constantly criticizing openly gay rapper Lil Nas X.
“There is transphobia and homophobia that’s really rampant out there. Rampant! And it’s rampant out there because people’s spaces are being felt like it’s threatened,” Ts Madison told The Breakfast Club‘s Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee.
Madison continued, “Like with Boosie. N####, why are you bothering with Lil Nas X for? What’s the problem? My thing is when [Boosie] said that he’s a detriment to kids and we need to worry about the kids. But I’m like, you’re the same man [who] had an overgrown ass woman perform f####### on your young son. But you didn’t see anything wrong with that.”
Boosie Once Claimed He Had A Grown Woman Perform Oral Sex On His Young Son
Last year, Boosie Badazz admitted to having an adult woman engage in sexual acts with his underage child. That revelation sparked outrage as social media users accused Boosie of promoting sexual assault against minors.
“I’m training them boys right. Ask any of my nephews, ask any of them, ask my son. When they were 12, 13, they got head. That’s how it’s supposed to be. Hell yeah, I got my f###### son’s dick sucked. You f###### right,” said Boosie on Instagram Live.
He added, “Yes, a grown woman. Grown, super grown. Super grown. Checked his ass out. Checked all my nephews out, super grown. Is she grown? She checked me out. I know what the f### she did to them. She checked me out that b####. I’m getting them prepared.”
Boosie Badazz clearly got word of what Ts Madison had to say about him during her appearance on The Breakfast Club. The Baton Rouge-raised rhymer decided to take aim at Charlamagne Tha God in response.
“THEY STILL GOT MY NAME N THEY MOUTH BOUT THAT GAY S### LOL @cthagod U PART OF THE PROBLEM KEEP EGGING THESE PEOPLE ON YOUR SHOW WITH THIS BRO. U USING YOUR PLATFORM TO SUPPORT [Lil Nas X and] his ANTICS (I SEE WHAT SIDE U ON 🌈) HE SAID F### YALL KIDS SMH DUMMIES 😄,” tweeted Boosie on Tuesday.

Dave Chappelle had the honor of meeting one of his legends at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Cleveland on Saturday (Oct. 30). Dave’s role on the night was introducing Jay-Z for his induction however, he also experienced a personal triumph offstage.
Scorpio of Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 5 shared a clip of his meeting with Dave Chapelle, who was a little starstruck.
As Scorpio attempted to introduce himself to the comedian, Chapelle responded: “Are you f###### kidding me?! Eddie Murphy used to tell me stories about you being outside of the club wearing clothes like you was from the future. My man. Oh my god. I know exactly who you are. It’s an honor, bro.
He continued, “You heard what I said to Jay. Boy, does that not apply to you? Man. It is an honor to shake your hand, brother. You have no idea, man. Kids like me…I was out there; I was listening to you. No b#######.”
Scorpio thanked Chappelle and replied, “Oh I believe you ’cause you know Hip Hop like we know Hip Hop.”
Chappelle continued, “Boy you inspire the s### out of me in a way you never he even … oh my god … I can’t believe I’m meeting you. Eddie Murphy was telling me funny stories. Bro.”
The Hip-Hop pioneer replied humbly, “I don’t want to take up your time. I just wanted to shake your hand ’cause I love you and I wanted to tell you that.”
But Chappelle had more flowers to give, “Bro, the honor is mine. I’ve admired you since I was a little boy. No b#######. I’m getting teary-eyed just thinking about it. In Cleveland, Ohio of all places. My guy. Much love. Boy, you made a difference in my life. Any time you look at me, good or bad,” he said with a laugh, “you contributed to it.”
Scorpio also shared a snippet of his exchange with Sir Paul McCartney who told him, “Your influence is just as big as our group if not more.”
He wrote in the caption, “After paul McCartney! Told scorp how proud he was of us help creating Hip Hop. And the Beatles, used to listen to use all the time! Wow..show no shame.”
Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” continues to rack up the accolades. Now, the 6 God is trying for a shot at a Grammy or two, despite dissing the awards show last year.
Variety report “CLB” has been submitted for several categories at the upcoming Grammy Awards 2022. While he has entered the project in the Album of the Year category, no submission was made for Song or Record of the Year.
Drake’s chart-topping collaboration with Future and Young Thug, “Way 2 Sexy” is up for a shot at Best Rap Performance. He’s also got a song in contention for Best Melodic Rap Performance with “Girls Want Girls” featuring Lil Baby. “No Friends in the Industry” has been submitted in the Best Rap Song category, though he may be tempting fate with the song’s title!
However, those aren’t Drake’s only chance of nabbing a Grammy. Some of the songs he appeared on as an artist or writer are also vying for nominations. Notably, “Outta Time” by Bryson Tiller featuring Drake has been submitted for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance, and Best R&B Song.
Drake On The Grammys
Drake most recently dissed the Grammys last year when fellow Canadian native, The Weeknd was snubbed in the nominations.
“I think we should stop allowing ourselves to be shocked every year by the disconnect between impactful music and these awards and just accept that what once was the highest form of recognition may no longer matter to the artist that exist now and the ones that come after,” he said.
“It’s like a relative you keep expecting to fix up but they just won’t change their ways. The other day I said @theweeknd was a lock for either album or song of the year along with countless other reasonable assumptions and it just never goes that way. This is a great time for somebody to start something new that we can build up overtime and pass on to the generations to come.”
50 Cent’s new drama, BMF, based on the real-life story of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, continues its successful run on Starz. The series follows the rise and fall of the Flenory brothers and their infamous drug empire run out of Detroit.
The show’s sixth episode aired recently with two more to come before the series ends. Now, a new photo of one of BMF’s real-life characters has surfaced online.
A Twitter user with the handle @wiseguysiri posted a pic of the real Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory after apparently serving time with him behind bars. He captioned the post, “Coming in contact with “A Living Legend” had a profound on my outlook at life. Free Big Meech, until next time Homie! #bmf #bigmeech #starz #mob #mafia #gang #gangland #boss“.
50 Cent recently shared a message from Meech to his son, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr., who portrays his father in the film.
“Keep in touch so we can talk about the 3rd and 4th episode and whatever you out there doing all positive vibes,” he wrote. “I really love 50 for helping us make all this happen for us it’s like he the only one to sencerely [sic] come thru and put us on the 100 percent legitimate successful path and he never owed us s### but gave us ‘everything’ when almost all the sports and entertainers I’ve known most of my life never spoke up or helped us get on the path legitimacy!”
Juice WRLD has posthumously received 50 new certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America.
Dozens of Juice WRLD’s songs were certified platinum and gold by the RIAA on October 29. His latest achievements included three studio albums going double and triple platinum as well as several tracks going multi-platinum.

Juice WRLD’s other notable certifications included “All Girls Are The Same” going 5x platinum and “Robbery” going quadruple platinum. Both songs were produced by his frequent collaborator Nick Mira.
“Black and White,” “Bandit,” “Lean Wit Me” and “Armed and Dangerous” were each certified triple platinum. “Come and Go,” “Hear Me Calling,” “Empty,” “Wasted,” “Righteous,” “Wishing Well” and “Legends” secured double platinum certifications.

The Silk Sonic member has partnered with Universal Music Group to launch APESHIT INC. Anderson .Paak’s vision for the label is a roster of artists who can play their own instruments.
“I wanted to start a label that sets fire to a new generation of artists, who can play while performing,” he said in a press release. “This label is going to be about passion, about feeling, about honesty. It’s about respect for the culture and art and it’s about heart.”
Anderson .Paak added, “I was going to shows and realized that less and less I was seeing actual performers. Where is the next generation that can play instruments? I know they’re out there – don’t sell your instruments, this label wants to hear you!”
In regards to the label’s name, APE stands for Anderson .Paak Empire. The rest comes from his imprint being on “some other s### out here in this music business jungle.”
Anderson .Paak’s APESHIT INC. adds a new dimension to his business relationship with Universal Music Group. He’s been part of the UMG family since 2016 when he signed with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment.
“UMG has always strived to be a home for music’s best creators, innovators, disrupters and entrepreneurs, and one that operates globally to help artists expand their creative and commercial opportunities,” UMG CEO and Chairman Sir Lucian Grainge said. “Anderson .Paak has consistently created award-winning, culture shifting music and we are truly excited to work together to bring his bold and infectious vision for this new label to life.”
Fans will have to wait and see who Anderson .Paak signs as his first artist, but they’ll be getting some new music from him soon. He and his Silk Sonic partner Bruno Mars are releasing a song titled “Smokin’ Out The Window” on November 5.
The track is the third single from their An Evening With Silk Sonic album. The highly anticipated LP is scheduled to drop on November 12.
Darryl “DMC” McDaniels is getting into business with Nickelodeon and ViacomCBS.
The Run-DMC member has teamed up with the companies for a cross-category consumer products program. The partnership includes exclusive apparel, a publishing agreement with Random House Children’s Books and a voice acting role for Nickelodeon’s Noggin brand.
“Throughout my career, I’ve been very fortunate to have a diverse group of fans, including kids,” McDaniels said in a press release. “Working with Nickelodeon and ViacomCBS Consumer Products and having the opportunity to help make a positive impact on their lives and develop their self-esteem is so special to me.”
Apparel and accessories inspired by DMC’s childhood will be sold on Nickelodeon’s official Amazon store. The legendary rapper is also voicing 15 episodes of Noggin’s What’s The Word? series, which teaches children new words through music videos.
“Darryl McDaniels is a remarkable talent, with an equally inspiring background, who has positively impacted the lives of millions through his music and philanthropic work,” ViacomCBS president of global consumer products Pam Kaufman said. “We are so excited to work with him and extend his platform to reach today’s generation of kids around the globe with his message of empowerment, encouraging all kids to chase their own dreams.”
Multiple episodes of What’s The Word? are available now on Noggin. Parents can sign up for a free trial and check out the short-form series here.
He said: “I don’t come here enough, but I love Paris. Everything is historical, artistic, and fashionable. It’s very different from the US, but it’s a really beautiful city, with lots of good energy.”
He attributed his success to his “winner” mindset and knowing what he wants to achieve with his life – which along with his rap career, has meant working with Donald Glover on the HBO show “Atlanta.”
He explained: “I always told myself that I was a winner and that my main competitor was myself. I know my goals, I don’t need to look at what others are doing. I focus on what I want to do in order to move forward and be the best I can be.”
One of the most significant markers of his success recently was the present he gave his wife, fellow rapper Cardi B for her 29th birthday earlier this month – a $1.49 million luxury property in the Dominican Republic, to which the “WAP” rapper expressed her gratitude on social media.
She wrote on Instagram: “For a hot minute now, I’ve been telling Set that I really want to invest in short term home rental properties in the DR and other Caribbean countries …. but I felt like he didn’t agree with me and would rather put money into other investments. Well, I was wrong.”
Lil Nas X took psychedelic mushrooms in a bid to prompt inspiration for his album Montero.
The “Old Town Road” star, who teamed up with producers David Biral and Denzel Baptiste to work on the record, told WSJ. Magazine’s new Innovators issue that a “pivotal moment in the process was trying psychedelic mushrooms for the first time,” writer Myles Tanzer revealed.
“Baptiste and Biral sat by Nas’ side sober and talked to him throughout the day, occasionally taking dips in the pool and hot tub but not working on any music, just reflecting on life,” Tanzer wrote, commenting that the mushrooms “allowed (Lil Nas X) to push past lots of lingering feelings of self-consciousness.”
“I was able to open up a lot,” Nas explained of what the mushrooms allowed him to do. “I was able to write actual stories about my life and put it into my music. I actually did that for the first time.”
Nas was among the stars attending the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards on Monday night (November 1st) at New York’s Museum of Modern Art and told Entertainment Tonight that he’s not going to rush into a new relationship after splitting from his “That’s What I Want” music video co-star Yai Ariza.
“When the time is right, I want somebody who’s fun,” he smiled. “Someone who’s always ready to try new stuff. Somebody’s who’s ready for me to become a different person every single year.”

On November 2, 2021, the Universal Hip Hop Museum and AllHipHop.com are set to celebrate Hip Hop History Month by highlighting Roxanne Shanté, one of the most prolific emcees of her generation.
In 1984, a 14-year-old girl named Roxanne Shanté burst onto the Hip-Hop landscape and changed the way that female emcees were seen by the world. Consider the “Mother of the Juice Crew,” who has made history in a number of ways: She is the first female rapper to put a whole collective on in rap history, and her song “Roxanne Revenge” spawned over 100 reaction songs.
In addition to “The Have A Nice Day” rapper, UHHM and AllHipHop.com are sharing with fans a flyer from this day 24 years ago, featuring those fedora-wearing dudes from Hollis.
On Sunday, November 2, 1997, the Old School Tour arrived at the Atrium in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Billed as “The Kings of Rock,” RUN-DMC brought Hip-Hop music into the mainstream, ushering a new street feel in rap music like never before. They were the first group to achieve a gold album with “Run-D.M.C”. (1984), a platinum album with “King of Rock” (1985), and the first multi-platinum Hip-Hop album ever with the chart-topping “Raising Hell” (1986). Hip-Hop legends Doug E. Fresh, Biz Markie (RIP), and Big Daddy Kane also performed with the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers.
This “Know Ya History” Moment has been brought to you through the partnership between AllHipHop.com and UHHM. Click here to find out more information about the museum and make a monetary donation for the important work that they do.
After a head turning performance at Rolling Loud, Skodi is officially on our radar. In the words of the late great Notorious B.I.G, “If you don’t know now ya know,” because she has a chance to be one of the more popular names in rap over the next few years.
“Raised in Miami after moving from Jersey, Skodi developed a diverse auditory palette from what was played in her childhood home. Her mother was a DJ spinning Chicago house and disco throughout the days, which opened Skodi’s young ears to the beauty of all different types of music” Skodi’s bio reads.
But don’t let any aspect of Skodi’s appearance or style sway your thoughts on her overall sound – she is an all out rapper. With a dark style, knockin beats and an ability to spit real bars, there’s no telling how far her music takes Skodi. We need alternative voices in rap music today and this is one that has a chance to travel a long way.
