Ludacris Gifts $10K To Father-Daughter Duo For Prison App

Ludacris appeared on an episode of “The Ellen Show” recently and surprised a father-daughter duo with a check for $10,000.

Jay’Aina “Jay Jay” Patton and her father Antoine created an app to help connect incarcerated parents with their children. They created the “Photo Patch” app out of first-hand experience, Antoine having spent time behind bars.

Ellen invited the software developers on the show to bring light to their app.

“Right now, I’m on a mission to help 10,000 girls of color get into the world of tech and start their career path,” Jay Jay said to Ellen and the studio audience. “Just for me, there’s not much representation of people who look like me in the world of tech and I know other little girls want to get into this world. They don’t see that they can do it.”

Young tech entrepreneur Jay Jay has created a scholarship fund to help other Black girls get their start in the technology industries.

“I want to be that guide and help them do it — and just start them off with their career,” she said. “I actually have a scholarship fund as well that we’re raising awareness for to help these women and girls start their career.”

Ellen then introduced her surprise guest saying, “I have a friend who heard about this and he wants to help,” before Ludacris came out.

Explaining that he can relate to their mission because he has incarcerated family members, he told Jay Jay and Antoine, “[I] absolutely love what you’re doing. I have family members that are incarcerated and all they ever ask for is pictures.”

Ludacris then revealed his gift saying:

“You guys are connecting the world. I have my own foundation that helps facilitate dreams for young ladies like yourself. I came here personally because I want to donate $10,000 to what you’re doing.”

Ellen then matched Luda’s donation presenting Jay Jay and Antoine with another $10,000 check.

Atlanta-raised rapper Young Thug returned with another body of work. Punk landed on DSPs today (October 15), and the project features several high-profile acts.

J. Cole shows up on “Stressed” with T-Shyne. For “Bubbly,” Young Thug tapped Drake and Travis Scott. Plus, the Punk tracklist includes contributions by late artists Juice WRLD and Mac Miller.

There are also guest appearances from Strick, Gunna, Future, BSlime, Post Malone, A$AP Rocky, Lil Double 0, Doja Cat, Nate Ruess, and Jeff Bhasker. Production for the album was provided by Charlie Handsome, T-Minus, Pi’erre Bourne, Wheezy, and more.

Young Thug teased the release date for Punk back in July during his Tiny Desk (Home) performance for NPR. He is set to be the musical guest on the October 16 episode of Saturday Night Live.

Punk is Young Thug’s second official studio LP. 2019’s So Much Fun was a commercial and critical success for Thugger. That album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 131,000 first-week units.

Additionally, Young Thug released numerous mixtapes such as Barter 6, Slime Season, Jeffery, and Beautiful Thugger Girls. The YSL leader also teamed with Future for Super Slimey and Chris Brown for Slime & B. YSL’s Slime Language 2 compilation peaked at #1 earlier this year.

Freddie Gibbs Challenges Dr. Umar Johnson To $5M Boxing Match

After stirring the pot and suggesting a boxing match between Mike Tyson and Dr. Umar Johnson, Freddie Gibbs has put himself forward as a contender, issuing a challenge to Dr. Umar. The fight would need a heavy-weight promoter as Freddie’s fees are not cheap!

The “Gang Signs” rapper was performing at Austin City Limits Festival in Austin, Texas last weekend. During an interview after his set, he was asked about controversial Pan-African personality, Dr. Umar Johnson.

“Dr. Umar soft as hell,” he said. “Dr. Umar gonna pick a fight with Mike Tyson because that’s a political move for the internet but you never said you wanna fight Freddie Kane. Mike Tyson ain’t gonna fight your fat ass, man. You fat as f###, bro. You cannot f### with Tyson.”

“I got love for Dr. Umar but I will whoop your ass in the first round and I will get high and drunk on every drug… I will f### you up. I’d need about $5 million to fight you. I got s### to do.”

The clip has gone viral and the response on Twitter was hilarious.

https://twitter.com/WoodrowUncle/status/1448740242668888072?s=20

This all started when Freddie Gibbs appeared on an episode of Iron Mike’s podcast, “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson.” The rapper remarked that Dr. Umar would not approve of them dating white women. Mike replied that he had no idea who Dr. Umar was and said of him, “If there’s any hate involved, he can’t be cool.” Watch the full episode here.

Word got back to Dr. Umar who was not impressed and though he said he had respect for the boxing legend he also issued a challenge to Mike; get in the ring with him for five exhibition rounds.

“How much can we charge for the tickets? Iron Mike and King Kong,” the self-proclaimed Prince of Pan-Africanism said. “I’m ready for this as long as Bernard Hopkins is training me. If I can’t get Bernard, I want Floyd [Mayweather].”

Freddie Gibbs responded: If Dr. Umar beat me in anything athletic I’ll pay for his school and be the janitor there.

Drake Nearly Left Degrassi After His Rap Friends Called Him “Soft”

Back in 2001, before his rise to becoming one of the world’s biggest superstars, Drake began his run on Canadian teen drama “Degrassi: The Next Generation.”

The 6 God played the character of teenager Jimmy Brooks for seven seasons. His character was shot in season four resulting in him being paralyzed and wheelchair-bound.

James Hurst, a former writer on the show, revealed Drake’s concerns over his image after his character had to appear in a wheelchair. He recalled receiving a letter from a Toronto law firm on Drake’s behalf. “Aubrey Graham will not return to Degrassi season six as Jimmy Brooks unless his injury is healed, and he’s out of the wheelchair,” read the letter.

He immediately spoke to Drake about it who said he was unaware of the letter. Hurst then asked Drake how he really felt about the wheelchair.

“He’s like, ‘All my friends in the rap game say I’m soft because I’m in a wheelchair,’” he said.

Hurst then flipped the situation. “‘Well, tell your friends in the rap game that you got shot. How much harder can you get? You got shot, and you’re in a wheelchair.’ He was like, ‘Yeah, yeah.’”

After Hurst’s pep talk he says Drake” was so nice and apologetic about everything. He instantly backed down.” Giving the rapper further motivation he told him:

‘Aubrey, there’s some kid somewhere in a wheelchair, who’s completely ignored, who’s never on television, never gets represented. I need you to represent this person. You’re the coolest kid on the show, and you can say there’s nothing wrong with being in a wheelchair.'”

Drake left the show in 2008 to pursue his music career and the rest, as they say, is history.

Rory & Mal Say If Joe Budden Sues “A Lot Would Be Exposed”

The Joe Budden Podcast had one of the most famous fallings-out in podcast history. The “JBP” had a huge audience and their fans were devastated when it became apparent the podding team was unable to resolve their differences and the split would be a permanent one.

A post shared by MAL 💰 (@mal_bytheway)

When Rory and Mal popped up with their own show, ‘New Rory & Mal,’ fans were divided and unsure whether the pair were able to go it alone without Joe as lead mic. Now, Rory (full name Rory Farrell) and Mal, (full name Jamil Clay) have announced they signed a deal and it looks like they may have got to the bag…

Mal’s brother Kareem “Biggs” Burke, co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, revealed the news on social media. He suggested the deal could be worth a cool $10 million.

In an interview with “Vulture,” Rory and Mal spoke about their deal, signing with SiriusXM’s “Stitcher” and released through the new “More Sauce Label.”

They discussed the speculation that Joe Budden could sue the pair following their departure. Rory and Mal were unconcerned and suggested they have receipts that could be damaging for Joe if things came out in court.

“Yeah no, it’s not an issue for us,” said Mal. “That’s something you would probably have to ask him, but it would be very funny — and a lot would be exposed — if he decided to do that.” Rory agreed and said, “That’s not a route he would want to go. I can assure you that.”

They also spoke about ownership and independence and said that though they are not against being independent, “the deal with Stitcher just made sense. They understand what we’re trying to do and what we represent and how important it is for us.”

They confirmed, “We have 100 percent ownership of our show.”

They also spoke about the state of their relationship with Joe currently.

“Speaking for myself, I’m totally moved on in regard to that,” Mal said. “I don’t even think about it. Where Rory and I stand now, looking back, it was the best thing that happened. I don’t have any reservations or any hard feelings toward anybody. I did, at first. I was in a very, very different mindset a few months ago. We just didn’t know what was going on, but as time went on, Rory and I got a lot of answers to the questions we had.”

Mal continued and spoke on Joe’s character: “You know, character is character, right? If somebody is a certain way with other people, you can only expect them to be that way with you, you know what I mean? Like maybe it’s just not your turn yet. Maybe that person hasn’t been that way with you yet, but your time is coming. That was a hard pill to swallow at first, especially since we thought it was a real friendship for so many years. But again, character is character.”

He also said that on reflection, the split “needed to happen, and I’m happy it happened.”

It appears the former trio has barely spoken after the split. Rory said though he had run into Joe “it wasn’t really a conversation.” Mal went further and said, “I haven’t seen or spoken to him since my last day at the studio. I’m happy it went that way because if I had seen him or run into him, it would have been bad news.”

VIDEO: Lizzo Slaps Her Bare Cakes On Social Media

Lizzo s really one of the most interesting figures in the music game now, but she is more about challenging social norms. Right now, she may have some music out, but I would not know because she is too busy trolling the internet. Her body seems to be the main thing that gets people talking about her. She can drop a song and that last 24 hours, but we may be talking for days if she show’s us her bare a$$. Guess what she went and did? Showed her tail! And what a sight it is!

https://streamable.com/7z9zsv

I might have to go to the bathroom! Lizzo just turns me on!

I am not sure what to think about her though. She really seems to be starving for any sort of attention. And then when the comments turn toxic, which they almost always do, she will be crying. Anyway, I hope she is happy, but not losing sight on what is most important, b.

Jay-Z & Friends Surprise Live Performance

The after-party was a real celebration of the movie and its majority Black cast. Jay-Z pulled out all the stops and had a live band to entertain the guests. In a surprise for everyone there, the Roc Nation boss took to the mic for an impromptu performance. In one clip, Jay raps his freestyle on TooShort’s “Blow The Whistle” beat.

The Los Angeles launch at the Shrine auditorium featured a bright blue carpet and some heavy star power, with even more celebrities attending the after-party. Jay-Z’s good friend, Kelly Rowland was there, though apparently nobody told Hov. The moment he spotted his wife’s Destiny’s Child bandmate has gone viral.

Too Short has said in the past that Jay-Z jumping on the beat with his freestyle gave the song a whole new life.

Speaking back in 2018 he said: “I think that was the last frontier of where the song was going to go. Had he not done that it might not have gone there, east coast and beyond and you know, people will play Jay-Z’s verse.”

Is Lil Durk Trying To Escape The Feds After FBG Duck RICO Case Explodes!

Lil Durk has not been in a lot of trouble recently.

So, Durk – he’s not in any trouble at the moment. He does have a situation but it has been very quiet on that. I don’t even want to talk about that now. Let’s talk about the recent arrest of  OTF Muwop and RICO charges by the feds for those that are allegedly killers. Five dudes were arrestedl, but Durk was not one of them/ FBG Duck was a rapper a thats from Chicago who was out shopping one day and men shot and killed him as he was looking for material items for his child. Well they made arrests on that!

Now, Durk seems to be a solid guy. I do not know much more about him other than what it seems to be. He seems to have a ride or die chick by his side. Also, he’s been on tour with his bro Lil Baby and they are rocking stadiums in a pandemic! Greatness. Anyway, bro has made a proclamation that has people looking with a side eye.

Now, this comes the DAY AFTER all those dudes were busted. As you MAY know, the Feds have a 95% conviction rate. Not arrest rate….or harrassment rate…CONVICTION RATE. This means when they come for you, they typically already have all they need to NAIL you to the WALL. So, I commend Durk on trying to get his education at 26. Hopefully, this is the start. IF they have a case, it is not going away becasue of a tweet.

By the way…fresh off the presses.

Auggie Velarde Shares His Inspiring Story to Success Against All Odds

Rising to the top of the American music scene is Auggie Velarde, a talented songwriter and singer. He is a Peruvian-born and American-raised artist taking the industry by storm with his unique and catchy melodies. Auggie is famously known for his musical influence and inspiring journey to success, defying all odds. His unmatched music talent has seen him win various awards, which rate him high above his peers in the industry.

His influence in the industry is seemingly evident with the attention and recognition he is getting. Auggie was recently featured as the cover on SoundCloud’s home page as a selected artist for LatinX month and also the cover of TIDAL’s “Trap del Sur” editorial playlist. Everyone in the industry seems to have taken note of this sensational singer, a reason to watch out for his music.

Unbeknown to many, Auggie came from one of the most humble backgrounds. His family immigrated to the US in search of a better life with nothing but a dream. But one thing that made his family stand out was their strong belief in possibilities despite the challenges. His parents often encouraged him to adopt a positive mentality in everything he does, as that’s the basis for success.

However, Auggie turning to music as a career was the last thing they expected. Being an immigrant alone was a sufficient obstacle for him to drop this path. Pursuing a music career was more than challenging for Auggie, and his parents were not ready to sacrifice what they’d struggled for with a career where the outcome was uncertain. They recommended he pursue a computer-aligned career that was seemingly promising.

However, Auggie was not ready to let go of his passion and dream. This resulted in combining the two while leveraging his computer knowledge to learn how to make music. With hard work and determination, he was able to pursue the two paths successfully. He has actually managed to merge the two, creating a liberating experience for himself.

Auggie’s dedication and commitment to his dream have made him a rising hero amongst the Peruvian-American community. He serves as an inspiration to thousands of other Peruvians who are working hard to see their dreams come true. Auggie uses his success to pave the way for a future generation of Peruvian artists and other immigrant creators.

His efforts and dedication to helping others along his way earned him the prestigious TUMI USA Award in 2018. Auggiewas recognized as a successful Peruvian immigrant who has overcome life challenges, worked tirelessly at his profession, and demonstrated exceptional commitment to community service. He considers it one of his significant life achievements, motivating him to keep doing what he does best.

Auggie’s advice is to find what best works for you and set your mind to achieve it no matter the challenges. He believes that it’s sometimes important to keep pushing even when the people around you fail to acknowledge it. His call is for you not to give up on what makes you happy.

“We get one chance to experience the journey that is life, so we should stay true to ourselves and enjoy our moments on this planet,” says Auggie Velarde.

Lydia Breeze’s New Track “Midnight”

With the release of her brand-new track “Levitate,” Lydia Breeze has taken the world by storm. Everyone was taken aback by the music. Nobody, especially Lydia Breeze, expected such a song. No one anticipated her to deliver such a terrific track, despite her reputation for innovation.

Lydia’s ability to bring her thoughts to reality is one of her unique skills. She accomplished this through her paintings, which have received widespread praise. She, on the other hand, has done the same with music. She wrote “Midnight” with the intention of putting her feelings into music.

“Midnight” is a tune that, as the name implies, boosts your spirits and ensures a wonderful time. Once you’ve heard it, you won’t be able to stop yourself from loving it. No matter who you are or what your interests are, you will enjoy listening to it because of the enticing lyrical arrangement.

Tyga’s Ex Reveals Why She Publicly Addressed His Domestic Violence

Tyga’s ex-girlfriend Camaryn Swanson has explained why she publicly spoke out about her domestic violence allegations against him.

In an Instagram post, Camaryn Swanson said she intended to keep the situation private but was concerned about being mischaracterized in a TMZ story. In its original report, TMZ shared details from a “source very close to” Tyga claiming Swanson showed up to the rapper’s home without being invited and began screaming at him.

“My intentions were never to go public with this,” she wrote. “Unfortunately ‘someone’ released a false narrative to TMZ painting me out to be somebody I am not, accusing me of things that did not happen and that I did not do. With that being said I took matters into my own hands and posted the TRUTH with proof tagging tmz AFTER they released the fake news.”

Tyga was arrested for domestic violence on Tuesday. He was released on $50,000 bail.

Swanson accused Tyga of physically assaulting her and refusing to let her leave his home. She posted photos of her bruised face on Instagram after the TMZ story emerged.

“Looking back now, I’m proud of myself for making a statement and standing up for myself,” she wrote. “I’m glad to raise awareness to women who may be going through this and hopefully motivate others to stand up for themselves.”

Tyga hasn’t personally made a statement on the situation thus far, but his rep Jack Ketsoyan denied the domestic violence accusations.

“The allegations you have been reading about our client the past few days are false and will be disproven,” Ketsoyan said.

Celina’s sound is distinctive, despite her inexperience in the music industry. Her abilities are undeniable. She isn’t a one-hit-wonder, as she has repeatedly demonstrated by creating hit singles. Celina was just what the music scene needed right now.

You take your own moments with your own hands in “Right Now.” The song has an empowering vibe to it, which is something we don’t see very often. But whatever it is that makes it feel that way, it makes the listeners have a good time and appreciate the moment.

Judge Throws Out $20 Million Lawsuit Against Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne has scored a victory in his legal battle with his ex-lawyer.

According to Radar Online, a judge has granted a motion to dismiss a $20 million lawsuit against Lil Wayne. The judge determined the suit was incorrectly filed in California when the case should’ve been litigated in Florida, where Weezy lives and works.

Ronald Sweeney, Lil Wayne’s former attorney, sued his ex-client for unpaid commissions. Sweeney, who began working with Weezy in 2005, maintains he became the rap superstar’s manager when Cortez Bryant was fired in 2018.

The lawsuit alleges Weezy “failed and refused to pay Plaintiffs his promised 10% of the recovery from lawsuits, 10% of the sale of master recordings owned by Lil Wayne’s record label and then 17% in general commissions that he owes to Plaintiffs in connection with Plaintiff’s day to day management activities.” These missed payments include Sweeney’s supposed work on the New Orleans native’s settlement with Cash Money Records.

The Young Money founder claims Sweeney was never his manager. He also contends Sweeney wasn’t even involved in the rapper’s settlement with Cash Money Records. Weezy says he hired other lawyers to handle it.

Lil Wayne, who insists he doesn’t owe Sweeney any money, has countersued his former attorney. He’s accused the lawyer of overcharging him in fees for years. Sweeney has denied those allegations.
