Kehlani Disappointed Over Family’s Carefree Reaction To Her Coming Out As A Lesbian

Kehlani is a little upset no one in her family was shocked when she came out as a lesbian.

The singer confirmed she’s lesbian in a TikTok video she posted on Thursday (April 2nd) after a snippet of an Instagram Live, in which she opened up about her sexuality, went viral.

“You know the video?” she said. “Well, it’s fuckking true. I am gay, g-gay, gay, gay…”

“When I want to have a heart to heart with my family, and be like, ‘I finally know that I’m gay’, they’re like, ‘We know, duh… stupid’, I just feel like, ‘No…, I want you (to) fall on the floor and (say), ‘Congratulations, we had no idea! S####!

“Everyone’s just like, ‘Duh, you’re the only one who didn’t fuckking know. The f###### closet was glass,” she said. “So I guess I just wanted y’all to know that everyone knew but me.”

Stove God Cooks Taps French Montana on “Dope” Debut 2021 Single

Listen to “Dope”

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mO8bQBvt08[/embedyt]

Syracuse-bred rapper Stove God Cooks might be a leading voice of hip-hop’s gritty, lyrically-inclined renaissance, but his aspirations can’t be confined to one lane — Cooks wants to be mentioned in the same breath as today’s most popular hip-hop acts. After dishing an assist to fellow Babygrande Records artists The Yutes on “In the Kitchen,” Stove God Cooks continues demonstrating his commercial viability by linking with French Montana on his debut 2021 single, “Dope.”

Spitting over a textured guitar-accented instrumental, Stove God Cooks and French Montana take turns speaking on their respective trap experiences. While many aspects of this hustle have been glamorized in the media, Cooks and Montana deliver honest portrayals of this double-sided coin — the pitfalls, the glamor, the grey area that permeates the whole. The two suture pensive tales with authentic perspectives. “Dope” aptly manifests Stove God Cooks’ eclectic abilities, as his captivating melodies combine with his lyrical sword to cut a vivid image and a memorable record.

“Dope” is a microcosm for Cooks’ waxing versatility. While his resume touts him as a hero for hip-hop purists, evidenced by his prized collaborative Reasonable Drought album with Roc Marciano, “Dope” ascertains Stove God Cooks’ ability to effectively navigate burgeoning hip-hop pockets with aplomb. A master of the fundamentals, Cooks’ is augmenting his foundation with sonic nuances to yield a dynamic product.

Stove God Cooks’ preternatural linguistic command has earned him co-signs from Billboard, Complex, DJ Booth, among others. But it’s his relentless desire — and demonstrated ability — to push the creative envelope that separates Stove God from the rest. “Dope” isn’t an exception in the New York rapper’s catalogue — it’s a harbinger of artistic evolution.

Tap in with Stove God Cooks by listening to “Dope” now.

Megan Thee Stallion Announces Music Hiatus In Order To Recharge

2020 was a breakout year for Megan Thee Stallion. The self-described Houston Hottie, also known as Tina Snow, reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart twice during that 12-month period, once as a lead artist with “Savage (Remix)” featuring Beyoncé and again as a guest on Cardi B’s “WAP.”

Megan extended her impressive run as an emerging rapper into 2021 by grabbing three Grammy Awards in March. “Savage” won Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. The Recording Academy also named the southern emcee as Best New Artist.

Apparently, Thee Stallion now wants to take time away from the spotlight in order to rejuvenate. Yesterday, her 22 million Instagram followers were informed that she is taking a break from the music scene.

The Good News album creator’s Instagram account uploaded posts showing a masked Meg suspended in a liquid-filled chamber. Those fictional images were followed by an IG video with similar symbolism that also included a note from her team.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CN-c5JlFIME/

“Megan Thee Stallion is recharging! Due to the demands of the Hot Girl lifestyle. Meg has now entered a period of regeneration to prepare for what’s next,” reads the message. “In her absence; [management] will manage all social posting on behalf of Thee Hot Girl Coach. Thee Hotties lead a brave resistance in anticipation for the return of their Fearless Captain!”

Besides that Instagram bulletin, very little further information about the hiatus was provided by whoever is currently handling the star’s social media. On April 22, the verified @theestallion Twitter page tweeted, “I’ll be back when it’s time [fire emoji].”

Megan’s pause from the public likely will not last through the entire summer. She is booked as part of the lineup for the Afro Nation Festival in Portimão, Portugal which is set for July 1-3. Then the “Body” performer is expected to hit the stage at Florida’s Rolling Loud Miami 2021 on July 25.

Over the last two years, Megan Thee Stallion’s brand has become almost synonymous with the summer season. The 26-year-old college student popularized the phrase “Hot Girl Summer” in 2019. That same year, Meg collaborated with Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla Sign for the “Hot Girl Summer” single which peaked at #11 on the Hot 100.

Cardi B Blasts Republican Politician For Complaining About “WAP” In Congress

Certain sections of the United States of America are still disturbed by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion rapping about “wet-ass p####” at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in March. The issue was even brought up in the U.S. Congress.

Wisconsin Republican Representative Glenn Grothman spoke about Cardi’s single “WAP” on the floor of the House of Representatives. Grothman claimed he received complaints from his constituents about the performance.

“They wonder why we are paying the FCC if they feel this should be in living rooms across the nation,” said Grothman. “I realize that [Vice President] Kamala Harris has used her fame to promote this performer, but I assure the FCC that millions of Americans view her performance as inconsistent with basic decency.”

The 65-year-old politician representing Wisconsin’s 6th congressional district continued, “Wake up, FCC, and begin to do your job. The moral decline of America is partly due to your utter complacency.”

Cardi B is not shy about responding to nearly anyone who has something to say about her or her content. The Invasion of Privacy album creator hopped on Twitter to give her thoughts on Grothman’s speech.

“This gets me so mad ya don’t even know! I think we all been on the edge this week since we [saw] police brutality back to back including watching one of the biggest [cases] in history go down DUE to police brutality but wait! This is [what a] state representative decide to talk about [thinking face emoji],” tweeted Cardi.

She added, “Mind you Nikkas can’t give a word about Jacob Blake or give him proper justice but this [is] part of the reason why!!!!! They giving seats to F##### IDIOTS!! This is why people gotta vote, elect better people [because] you got these dum a#### representing states.”

Cardi was originally a longtime supporter of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign. Once Sanders exited the 2020 Democratic primary, the Hip Hop superstar endorsed then-Vice President Joe Biden’s candidacy for the presidency. She has also been very critical of former president Donald Trump.

Conservatives have been complaining about “WAP” ever since the all-woman single was released on August 7, 2020. Right-wing talking head Ben Shapiro became a social media punchline after he read some of the record’s lyrics on his podcast.

All of the negative attention from right-leaning media helped “WAP” break first-week streaming records and debut at #1 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart in the United States. Cardi and Megan’s collaboration was also the very first song to sit atop the Billboard Global 200 chart.

Following that initial controversy of the sex-positive tune last August, “WAP” went on to spend 24 weeks on the Hot 100 tally. The backlash over the song reignited when Cardi performed “WAP” and her latest single “Up” at this year’s Grammy ceremony.

Pro-Trump political pundit Candace Owens got into a highly-publicized Twitter feud with Cardi B following the Grammy performance. Owens told the Fox News audience, “This is a weakening of American society. It feels like we are looking at corrosion; like we are about to see the end of an empire.”

Cardi responded, “Matter fact I’m just going to thank Candy. She put my performance on Fox News giving it more views that boosted the views on YouTube and [are] counting towards my streams and sales. STREAM ‘UP’ AND ‘WAP.’ REMEMBER GROWN PARENTS ONLY YOU CAN MONITOR WHAT YOUR KIDS WATCH [NOONE] ELSE.”

The viral Grammy appearance and the online clash with Owens boosted “Up” to the pinnacle of the Hot 100. The track climbed to the No. 1 position on the weekly ranking of the most popular songs in America not long after media outlets began covering the argument between the two women, giving Cardi her record-extending fifth Number One.

Pacman da Gunman & Icewear Vezzo – “Did That”

Pacman da Gunman of Nipsey Hussle’s All Money In No Money Out Records is an artist that has been a cornerstone of LA’s recent wave of rising talent. Building on his release of “Zero Tolerance” with Nipsey Hussle and Mozzy, Pacman is only starting to get the notoriety he deserves. Pacman has gained a lot of artist’s respect by being one of the realest, somebody who has always stuck to his code and being your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper, so Pacman has been able to secure collaborations with buzzing artists from coast to coast.

On his latest single “Did That”, Pacman enlists Icewear Vezzo on an energetic track bound for clubs just in time for their re-openings; another example of great things happening when artists from Detroit and Los Angeles join forces.  “Did That” is the last single from Pacman’s upcoming EP ‘Less Is More’, with additional features coming from Wale and Blac Youngsta.

Coming up with Nipsey Hussle, Pacman learned the complicated ins and outs of the industry early on. Having an independent hustle, Pacman seeks his own collaborations so trying to connect with artists out of Detroit should be a no brainer for any West Coast artist. Some of the country’s most buzzing artists are coming out of The Motor City, with Icewear Vezzo leading the pack with a recent collaboration with Lil Durk making noise ahead of his highly anticipated single with Lil Baby.

Pacman grew up in the Crenshaw district of Los Angeles, the same neighborhood as Nipsey. Their upbringing is what brought them together and Pac looks to continue instilling his values through his music.  “Did That” is available on all platforms here.

His discography also consists of the Platinum-certified albums Rolling Papers, O.N.I.F.C., and Blacc Hollywood.

Fivio Foreign Reportedly Arrested Following Foot Chase By Police

Maxie Ryles III was taken into custody in Fort Lee, New Jersey on April 22. The New York-born rapper, better known as Fivio Foreign, is facing multiple charges in Bergen County.

According to The Daily Voice, local authorities claim a loaded .25-caliber handgun with a defaced serial number fell from the 31-year-old’s waist during an interaction with police.

The outlet reports:

Maxie Ryles III had left his 2018 Mercedes Benz running in a no-parking zone on Lemoine Avenue at Bruce Reynolds Boulevard as he went into the nearby Citibank around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Capt. Ricky Mirkovic said. Sgt. Howard Ginsburg requested Ryles’s driver’s license as he approached the vehicle and asked whether he was getting a ticket, Mirkovic said. Instead of complying, Ryles simply walked away, he said.

Fivio is accused of illegal weapon possession and resisting arrest. The official Bergen County online inmate database also lists “fugitive from justice” under his charging information.

The “Big Drip” performer is apparently still being held in the Bergen County Jail. He is expected to appear before the Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.

Meanwhile, Fivio Foreign’s verified Instagram page continues to promote the new “Unruly” music video which was published to YouTube on Friday morning. Last year, the Columbia recording artist scored a Top 40 entry on the Hot 100 chart as a guest on Drake’s “Demons.”

Fivio was named as one of the scheduled performers for the returning Rolling Loud Miami taking place this summer. That Hip Hop festival is set for July 23-25 with the “Zoo York” rhymer listed as part of the event’s day three lineup.

Previously, Fivio Foreign was arrested for allegedly attacking his 24-year-old pregnant girlfriend last October. He denied those accusations by tweeting, “I [would never] hurt or harm any pregnant woman especially not my GF. My mother [would] kill me, plus I’m [raising two Black littlegirls] and [women] do everything for me in my life.”

BREAKING: Sources Confirm Shock G Of Digital Underground Dead At 57

There is a saying that goes “bad news comes in threes” and the rap community is experiencing the adage firsthand.

According to sources, rap veteran Shock G of Digital Underground has passed away following the tragic death of DMX on April 9th and Black Rob on April 17th.

So far, a cause of death has not been revealed, but a source close to Shock confirmed the news to AllHipHop.com, as did a founding member of the Digital Underground collective.

“34 years ago almost to the day we had a wild idea we can be a hip hop band and take on the world through it all the dream became a reality and the reality became a nightmare for some,” said Digital Underground co-founder, Chopmaster J. “And now he’s awaken from the fame long live shock G Aka Humpty Hump and Rest In Peace my Brotha Greg Jacobs!!!”

The rapper/keyboardist, born Gregory Jacobs, was responsible for a number of influential singles from Digital Underground’s  “Doowutchyalike,” to the group’s smash hit single, “The Humpty Dance,” as his alter ego Humpty Hump.

“The Humpty Dance” hit #1 on Billboard’s Rap Singles chart shortly after the single was released by Tommy Boy Records in early 1990, on their breakthrough album Sex Packets. The catchy tune, and bassline from the song has been sampled by hundreds of artists, ranging from Will Smith and LL Cool J, to Public Enemy and R&B group TLC.

“Our cash cow was Humpty,” Shock G told the Indy Star before a performance in at the Indiana State Fair in 2015. “But behind the scenes, all we did all day on the bus was watch Malcolm X tapes. We’re in that zone of Stokely Carmichael/Kwame Toure. So we were excited about Pac. He was the outlet that (record label) Tommy Boy didn’t allow us.”

Shock G was also instrumental in the development of Tupac Shakur’s career. Shock G introduced Pac to the world on the group’s#### single “Same Song.”

Shock G was also the producer, and featured on Tupac’s breakthrough single “I Get Around,” from the album Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z

Additionally, Shock G produced Tupac’s classic track “So Many Tears” from his album Me Against The World.

Outside of his work with Tupac, Shock G produced tracks for artists like Dr. Dre, Monie Love, Raw Fusion, D.U. group member Money B, Luniz, pop legend Prince, Mac Mall, Murs, KRS-One, and others.

Game Says It Is Just Too Hard To Raise Black Children In The United States After Death Of Ma’Khia Bryant

Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and Game are among the stars sharing their outrage following the shooting death of black teen Ma’Khia Bryant at the hands of an Ohio police officer.

The latest cop-killing controversy took place less than an hour before the guilty verdicts against former Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin, who choked George Floyd to death, were read on Tuesday (April 20th), prompting activists to renew calls for police reform and accountability, while remembering the tragic 16-year-old.

Beyonce honored Bryant on her website by posting a picture of the teen smiling, and writing underneath: “We mourn the young life of Ma’Khia Bryant.”

Rapper Game took to Twitter and added: “16 year old Ma’Khia Bryant murdered by police in Columbus Ohio. This is beyond sad… There was absolutely no time between celebrating the conviction of Derek Chauvin & having to mourn Ma’Khia Bryant… This is really numbing!!!

“It’s really scary raising black children in this country. No matter how much we prepare them for these police encounters, they can still be killed.”

And Timberlake added: “Say her name, #MaKhiaBryant.”

Bodycam footage released by law enforcement officials shows Bryant wielding a knife at another female, as a police officer can be heard asking both to get down. The teen then appears to charge at a female pinned against a vehicle and is shot four times.

An unidentified man can also be heard in the video, obtained by the Associated Press, stating, “You didn’t have to shoot her! She’s just a kid, man!”

Bryant was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, Jada Pinkett Smith has posted a photo of the dead teen on Twitter, adding the caption: “Another baby gone. Rest in Love precious #makhiabryant,” while Kehlani rages: “ABOLISH THE F**KING POLICE. the same day we ‘celebrate’ a verdict for another loss that should’ve never happened, a Black child is murdered.”

EARTHGANG Celebrates Earth Day By Launching Community Garden To Help Atlanta Students

Atlanta rap duo EARTHGANG is celebrating Earth Day community by launching a garden project in partnership with Young Middle School in Southwest Atlanta.

In 2019, the students at Jean Childs Young Middle School took a survey, where they revealed food insecurity was one of the biggest barriers to their progress.

EARTHGANG group members Olu and WowGr8 got wind of the issue and resolved to take action by helping to restore a plot of donated land.

“It’s nearly impossible to focus on education, mental health, and financial stability when you don’t have the basic necessities of proper food, shelter, and protection. This project is a gift to future generations,” said Olu.

The rappers are helping to plant a huge community garden to feed the local community.

The garden will also help teach the students at Jean Childs Young Middle School about the advantages of growing and eating healthy food while keeping good diets in addition to enhancing their knowledge about the environment.

“Sustainable living grows more important with each new generation.  Promoting agriculture to youth is essential for changing the scope of what our community considers acceptable nourishment,” added WowGr8.

Trap Manny Talks Highbridge, A Boogie, Empowering People And New Project “IN TRAP WE TRUST”

Trap Manny is here to take over the rap game, and he’s not stopping until he gets to the top.

Hailing from the Highbridge neighborhood in Bronx, New York, the East Coast rapper comes from true humble beginnings, discovering his love for music in a shower booth while he was locked up behind bars. With his cellmate teaching him how to make beats, the rhymes came effortlessly.

With a couple dollars in his pocket, Manny decided to commit to the music thing altogether, releasing “Trenches” in 2018 which speaks volumes to his do-or-die mentality.

With Trap standing for “Take Risks And Pray,” the rising star spits his truth in his lyrics, touching on everything from incarceration to fatherhood to signing to a major label.

He states, “I don’t sound like nobody right now. I’m very unique, and I’m mad versatile. I be tryna sing sometimes. [laughs] My topics in music, my substance I’m bringing and the things I’m talking about.”

Currently a part of A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s Highbridge collective alongside Don Q, whom is a long-time friend, Trap Manny is here to give it his all. Most recently, he released his EP titled “IN TRAP WE TRUST,” with all-star features from A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Don Q, Lil Durk, Pop Smoke and Rubi Rose.

AllHipHop: What was the household like growing up in the Bronx?

Trap Manny: It was tough. I didn’t always have everything I wanted, but my mom made it work. I was in a group home, so around that time music came into play.

AllHipHop: Artists you listened to coming up?

Trap Manny: DMX, Jay-Z, Cam’ron. I liked him too, he was a big influence. He’s a trendsetter. He’s flamboyant in his own way. He’s arrogant in a sense, but it didn’t hurt him. He was overly confident, but not so much to where it made you not like him.

AllHipHop: I know you started making music behind bars, right?

Trap Manny: When I went to prison, I had this dude with me. He used to be in the cell with me, he was big into pushing me to try it.

AllHipHop: You were locked up for 6 years, biggest lesson you learned?

Trap Manny: Be patient. Patience, your pride, and ego. Sometimes you gotta tuck that s###. A lot of times I had to tuck that s### when I was in prison, especially the last 2 or 3 weeks in prison when everybody knows you’re going home. The guards know, all the d####### CEOs know you’re going home so they gon’ test you and you gotta tuck your pride. You either gonna swing back that last day or you’ll say “I’ma eat this and go home.”

AllHipHop: IN TRAP WE TRUST out now, how are you feeling?

Trap Manny: I feel good. I’m getting good responses from it. It was a little warm up, I’ma drop another project soon too.

AllHipHop: Talk about the meaning behind the title.

Trap Manny: IN TRAP WE TRUST, in music it’s saying give me my shot. I think I deserve a shot, so trust in me and trust in my music. Me trusting in myself, that’s what it’s all about. Trusting in myself and being more confident in the studio about s### I want to say, how I want to say it, and how I want to get it out.

AllHipHop: Talk about getting Don Q and Durk on the intro track “Shoot.”

Trap Manny: We was working on that song. My man Jay The Great, he did the beat. He sent me the beat and I got on the hook, started doing the hook originally. Durk wasn’t there, but Don got on the beat. Durk was already in tune with what I had going on in the beginning, when I first got signed, so he already knew. It was all Don, he’s the one that mentioned my name in the room when everybody was there. He always throws the rope down.

Even back in the days when I was plain in the back, he always said, “Yo, my man Trap got some s### coming for y’all.” He threw me the rope, Durk already heard one or two songs by me. They’re in LA, Don put that song on and Durk said “yeah I’m getting on this.” He got on the song, it was fun. Don sent it back to me and said “Durk got on the song for you, he f###### with you.” I said “word?” Then he sent me the song, I’m like “oh s###!” [laughs]

AllHipHop: What was your reaction when you heard it back?

Trap Manny: I aleady f### with Durk. He’s at his peak, he’s doing his thing right now with his career. He came a long way too. It’s Lil Durk and Future, those two I look at as far as longevity. They’ve been around for a long time, they finally getting to reach their potential.

AllHipHop: How did you and A Boogie cross paths initially?

Trap Manny: I always lived in Highbridge, was back and forth between jail. When he first went back to Florida, I was locked up. I was still in prison. When he came out, I’d come home but I did a violation. My first violation, that’s when I first started hearing about bro. I been knew bro, but I didn’t know he did music. I heard of him, but we never chilled because I was in and out of prison. Everybody in the circle, they already know of me too.

It wasn’t really too much of a disconnect because we all know the same people. It was pretty organic, he’s from the neighborhood. My bro D3, he told me, “Bro come outside. People know you, they just gotta put the face to it.” And that’s what I did, I came outside when everything was going on. I was still doing my thing, Don’s bringing me around. It was over. I really knew everybody before this.

AllHipHop: What does it mean to be signed to the Highbridge collective?

Trap Manny: It feels good. I was in prison so to come home and see it happen the way it did, to actually be a part of it — from coming to shows and being in the background to being a real player on the team, it’s amazing. I always knew I had some talent in me, but I didn’t know it was going to turn out like this. It’s great, it’s beautiful. It’s a neighborhood thing too so it’s real beautiful. It’s a beautiful thing.

AllHipHop: What’s the best piece of advice A Boogie has given you?

Trap Manny: S###, a lot of little things we talk about. I can’t really pinpoint it but probably being on the stage and stage performance. Certain little things like making eye contact with the crowd, how to move around. In the beginning, I’d be a little stiff. S###, just give it y’all all. That’s pretty much what he told me, go hard with it. Everytime we get on a song together, I’m giving my all. Go hard with it, that’s it.

AllHipHop: What’s one thing you want fans to get from this project?

Trap Manny: A fresh ear for my sound. I don’t sound like nobody, my sound is unique. I got a lot of topics on there. I can switch it up, I’m very versatile. I’m a hustler at the same time too, but I’m an artist. I got more music in store for y’all.

AllHipHop: How was linking with Rubi Rose on “Mine”? That’s my girl!

Trap Manny: Rubi’s dope as f###. I always admire her voice from her first song, “Big Mouth.” From a woman’s perspective, this song’s cool. Even from a guy’s perspective, I can hear it so that intrigued me. She’s a dope artist. I was f###### with that song, I had did the “Mine” song already with DJ Choose.

They said “you should put a girl on it.” I talked to a few of my female friends I hang out with, we be outside or whatever. They said “yeah, Rubi Rose.” I said “yeah, I like her too.” I usually go around asking about certain things like that, but I’d already did my own research. When I realized she had a little thing going on, yeah let me get her now before she takes off. She did the record, she did the video. It was cool. She’s cool.

AllHipHop: What was the highlight of the video?

Trap Manny: Probably when she was all touching on me. [laughs] That was the highlight. That was the best part to me.

AllHipHop: What inspired you to sample the Sisqo song?

Trap Manny: My mom, she’s an older lady. I got aunties and uncles so growing up, I was listening to their music and whatever they’re playing in Atlanta. That was one of them songs from back in the day, “Thong Song.” I remember watching the video and seeing Sisqo being one of the biggest artists in the world behind that song, so let’s recreate these vibes. I got an old soul when it comes to music. I got a lot of old s### from listening with my grandmother and my mom, mixed with the new s### that I like. The new sound I like. I try to put it together and incorporate it, bring a new sound to it.

AllHipHop: What do you want fans to get from your story?

Trap Manny: Don’t stop! Never stop, keep going. It’s gonna be some hurdles, some hiccups. You might meet some people that don’t like you or f### with your s###, don’t let that stop you or detour you from doing whatever it is you really want. Nothing happens overnight too. Rome wasn’t built overnight. You gotta take your success and hold on to it. Keep pushing forward, don’t just stop there. Don’t get complacent. Don’t stop, keep going no matter what. Make sure you love it too, you gotta love whatever it is that you’re doing too. If you don’t got no love for it or don’t wanna see yourself being at the top, then you should try something else.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?

Trap Manny: Nice girls, some cool vibes to see what they think. I like having females in the studio for certain music that I make. Water or apple juice, I like apple juice. And weed, I gotta have some weed.

AllHipHop: How would you describe your drip?

Trap Manny: I just do me man, I’m GQ. I think I could be on the front of the GQ magazine. [laughs] I’m Manny, I do me. I gotta have that s### on, some Highbridge s###.

AllHipHop: Any goals for yourself at this point in your career?

Trap Manny: I’ma get a Platinum plaque or a Gold one. That’s not even a goal, I know I’ma get one. Once I do reach that status to where I have money for myself, just to empower other people. That’s what my goal is: to empower everybody around me. Doing whatever they need, help them be successful. Tor the help they’re giving me, just return it back. Whoever helped me get this far from writers to producers, I want to empower them with whatever they need to make it better. Make their situations better, make their lives better for helping me. That’s all I want to do, return it back.

AllHipHop: What can we expect next from you?

Trap Manny: I got another project. I got another video coming off the project. It’s called “Drip,” going to be released soon. I’m gonna come back with another project in June, in the summertime put out a mixtape. I’ma aim to put 10 songs on it.

AllHipHop: Anything else you wanna let us know?

Trap Manny: Keep streaming In Trap We Trust. I got one of the best tapes out right now, from top to bottom.

AllHipHop: Why?

Trap Manny: It’s a new sound. I got a whole vibe for everything on that tape. I got a whole vibe for every vibe you tryna look for. You can go to Puerto Rico right now and play that tape right now, you gon’ find something to get into the water too and do something to have a good time. I’m confident in bringing a whole lot of vibes.

ScHoolboy Q Making His Acting Debut in “Freak Brothers” TV Adaptation

Rapper ScHoolboy Q is making his acting debut in the TV adaptation of cult comic book “The Freak Brothers.”

The Hip-Hop star will voice a character based on himself in the animated show, inspired by artist Gilbert Shelton’s 1960s stoner series “The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers,” which already boasts cast members like Woody Harrelson, John Goodman, Tiffany Haddish, and Pete Davidson.

And ScHoolboy admits he took the premise of the series to heart while in the recording booth: “I love that I get to play myself,” he told Variety. “I don’t just mean playing ‘Q’ either, but the real me. I was high on ‘shrooms when I recorded my scenes.”

He added, “I wanted to do something outside of rap, creatively, and this was a great fit. It’s hilarious and it just ‘feels stoner’ like I am. The show is really about what it says it’s about.

“Working on my episode was laid back and fun, while still challenging creatively and pushing boundaries.”

Also joining the project is Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith, the founder of Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) – home to ScHoolboy and artists like Kendrick Lamar and SZA. He will serve as an executive producer on “The Freak Brothers,” and also produce the show’s theme tune, created by artist Ray Vaughn.

Swae Lee Reveals Jailed Brother’s Mindstate When He Killed Their Dad

Rapper Swae Lee’s half-brother shot and killed their father after “hearing voices” in his head.

Michael Sullivan was charged with first-degree murder last month (Mar21), more than a year after the fatal shooting of Floyd Sullivan, Jr. in Mississippi in January 2020.

Rae Sremmurd’s Half-Brother Charged With First-Degree Murder Of His Father

Rae Sremmurd star Swae, who was Floyd’s stepson, admits the family tragedy turned his life “upside-down” and he only agreed to talk to Michael in a call from jail after their mother, Bernadette Walker, begged the rapper to reach out.

“I haven’t talked to my lil’ bro since it happened,” he confessed in his new Snapchat series, Swae Meets World. “It’s just been in my head, but I know there’s gon’ come a time when I gotta face my demons.

“I gotta go back to Mississippi and just come face-to-face and just get to the bottom of it, once and for all.”

Sharing how he was struggling with his conflicting emotions, he added, “My stepdad’s my real dad… He raised me, taught me everything I know… I don’t know if I can talk to my brother after what he did.”

Swae chronicled the trip home and his chat with Michael – nine months after the murder – in the latest episode, which dropped on Wednesday (April 21st).

As he reunited with his mom following a visit to Floyd’s grave, she said, “I still can’t really believe it happened… I really hope that you can still be his (Michael’s) brother and forgive him. He’s still my son.”

In the phone call, Bernadette asks Michael to explain what was going through his mind at the time of the killing, and he told Swae: “I was hearing voices, and I thought dad was trying to make me kill myself…”

Bernadette previously revealed Michael suffered from Schizoaffective disorder, and may have been off his medication prior to the incident, and Swae is now starting to realize just how troubled his youngest brother had been growing up.

He reflected: “I always feel like my brother was battling with us, battling with everything, battling with mom and dad (when he was younger), but whatever he’s going through, like, mental health, this s**t is really serious.”

“I ain’t never gonna understand that thought process in that situation of why he did what he did, but he’s still lil’ bro,” Swae shared.

“It’s like two parts of me: one, I wanna make sure you (Michael) good, and one is angry like, ‘D**n bro, you took my pops away (sic).'”

He concludes the episode by admitting he is still working through the grieving process as he hopes to one day move past the heartbreaking situation.

“I don’t know if I can make peace with what happened to my family,” he said. “This ain’t something that just go away, but with time comes forgiveness. You gotta keep moving forward. If you’re living in the past, how you gon’ move into the future (sic)?”

Swae performs as one half of hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd with his brother Slim Jxmmi.

Bad Boy For Life? Has Black Rob’s Death Awakened A Reunion With Diddy?

Many wondered how could this happen to such a beloved, well-known and seemingly successful rapper. Also, after he was so instrumental in the resurgence of Bad Boy Records post-Biggie, that many looked towards Sean “Diddy” Combs as partial reasoning for his untimely tragic death.

However, the Bad Boy mogul, who goes by Love now is presently paying for funeral services according to numerous reports including AllHipHop. There has also been a push for a union or some form of health insurance for artists as well. These options have not materialized in any significant way but those conversations will hopefully bear fruit that will help artists as they seek help in their careers.
