Gunfire Erupts During DMX Vigil; Two Shot

Two fans of DMX were shot on Wednesday, April 14, during a candlelight vigil for the recently departed rapper.

The memorial was held at the 4th Street playground in Mt. Vernon and was supposed to be peaceful. However, gunfire in two separate places rang out and disrupted the crowd, striking the attendees, who only wanted to pay their respect to Dark Man X.

After getting shot, one victim found safety and shelter in a News 12 van. Reporter Ty Milburn and his photographer Dan Foley received the bloody victim in their station’s vehicle. They kept him safe there until an ambulance was able to come and take him to the hospital.

Milburn, Foley, and the rest of the team were not allowed to get back into the vehicle because it is now considered a crime scene.

There is no word on why the shooting started, nor how either victim is feeling. Law enforcement is already investigating the crime.

Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard was incredibly disappointed that the evening was spoiled by street violence.

She said, “We had a peaceful and unifying event. It is very unfortunate that an hour and a half to two hours after the event ended and not connected to the event that we had shootings.”

Despite growing up in Yonkers, Money Earning Mt. Vernon hosted Wednesday night’s vigil because they also claim the multi-platinum artist as their son, since DMX, real name Earl Simmons, was born in the Westchester County city.

Katrina Simmons was in attendance to celebrate her cousin, who died just last Friday in a White Plains Hospital and got emotional thinking about the tribute (which included prayers, released balloons, and a block party).

She said, “It’s a little overwhelming but I think it’s deserving because he meant so much to do many, and I’m looking at so many pictures and memories that people are sharing and it’s amazing he was able to put out albums and movies and still find the time to individually impact people’s lives.”

Everything was beautiful before things went left.

While there are not any updates on the two victims, shot in two completely separate incidents, both are expected to survive.

Tu Blanco Readies ‘Tu Blanco 4 The Weekend’ Debut EP & Names Top 5

During a time where female rappers are finally getting the shine they deserve, and rightfully so, now more than ever are newcomers being welcomed with open arms.

Tu Blanco, who hails from New Orleans, Louisiana, is here to prove she has what it takes to be one of the greats. With her biggest influences being Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and Lil Baby, the rising rapper and songwriter is equipped with gritty bars, hard punchlines, and an aggressive flow that sounds like no other.

With her artist name inspired directly by Griselda Blanco, the drug lord from Columbia, Tu states, “She’s a boss and I’m a boss,” with a laugh.

Entering the game with her debut single “Sit Down,” Tu hopes to motivate the masses with her music and her story. Having gone through her own bouts of depression and struggles with mental health, she writes and creates music to make her feel better — in turn making other people feel better.

AllHipHop: Tu Blanco “4 The Weekend” is your debut EP. How excited are you?

Tu Blanco: I’m really excited for it to come out, it’s going to be fun. It’s going to be a party album and everything. I might have a well-known artist on there, I’m looking forward to working with them. I don’t want to say yet. [laughs]

AllHipHop: You said it’s more of a turn up album, how have you prepared for this moment?

Tu Blanco:I’m in the studio, recording music and shooting videos at the moment. I’m about to record a video this week for two of the songs on the ep. I want to drop visuals with every song.

AllHipHop: How is it recording and shooting visuals during quarantine?

Tu Blanco:It’s pretty cool, quarantine isn’t stopping anything. I can get into the studio and shoot videos all the time, so it’s not a big deal.

AllHipHop: You announced the EP with the new video for “No Hook,” why lead it off with this track?

Tu Blanco:The record’s really fun! It’s a party type of song that we thought would be perfect to lead off the rollout.

AllHipHop: What’s your favorite weekend activity?

Tu Blanco:Watching vampire serious and I love to travel the most, going out of the country. It’s exciting to me to see new things. It gives me new ideas for things I’m doing for music or business.

AllHipHop: What’s your favorite place you’ve gone too?

Tu Blanco:So far, I like P#### Cana. It was really more relaxing. Its a different peaceful feeling. Makes you feel free.

AllHipHop: How would you describe your hometown back home?

Tu Blanco:I think It’s a really good place for tourism. A lot of crazy things going on. Other than that it’s home and that’s where my family is I love it.

AllHipHop: Favorite song to hear in the club?

Tu Blanco:Young Jeezy ft Bankroll “All There” I like to listen to street music in the club.

AllHipHop: Were there any challenges while making the EP?

Tu Blanco:No, not really. It was very easy because it’s what I like to do.

AllHipHop: Talk about your recording process. Do you write, do you freestyle?

Tu Blanco:I write from my notes on my phone. I usually write to 3 beats and make it into one song, because one beat bores me. I like to be creative and write to 3 different beats versus the same beat I’m going to be on.

AllHipHop: What producers do you work with?

Tu Blanco:Right now, I’m working with Mykelonthebeat and AC so far.

AllHipHop: Do you make music alone or do you like to collaborate?

Tu Blanco:I make music alone and with a producer so he can make beats to my liking.

AllHipHop: There are a total of 6 tracks on the record. Favorite tracks and why?

Tu Blanco:I don’t have a favorite. I love them all.

AllHipHop: How have you progressed since your first single?

Tu Blanco:I’ve progressed a lot. I’m way different from the first record. I grew more mentally, physically, work ethic, I’m on a different level now.

AllHipHop: What level do you see yourself?

Tu Blanco:Private jet.

AllHipHop: How would you describe your music to someone who’s never heard it?

Tu Blanco:Aggressive, sassy, but most of all boss talk.

AllHipHop: What does this album mean to your career?

Tu Blanco:It means a lot. This is my first EP so I’m pretty excited about it. This is like a baby I’m having. I’ve never dropped an album or EP before so I’m excited.

AllHipHop: What does it mean to be doing this independently?

Tu Blanco:It means a lot just to see me getting to this point I’m at with no help from anyone.

Tu Blanco:Top 5 right now?

Lil Uzi, Durk, Lil Wayne. Nicki Minaj, and Mulatto.

AllHipHop: What are you most looking forward to in 2021?

Tu Blanco:I’m looking to work with new people, expanding, new opportunities, I’m open.

AR-Ab Hit With Four-Decade Prison Sentence For Running Philly Drug Operation

Philadelphia rapper AR-Ab was hit with a long prison sentence today (April 15th), for running a massive drug ring that pumped drugs throughout Philadelphia.

The rapper, born Abdul West, was sentenced to 45 years in prison after he was convicted of charges that included conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and distribution of or possession with intent to distribute cocaine, crack, and methamphetamine.

The 38-year-old rapper will be 83 when he is finally released from prison.

And even then, AR-Ab will be subject to ten years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay a $5,000 fine.

Prosecutors claimed AR-Ab’s label OBH Records doubled as a drug organization that sold lethal amounts of the drugs from at least March 2017 through June of 2018.

The Feds say AR-Ab used high-end luxury apartments around the city as stash houses, while the OBH record label doubled as a front for his drug operation.

During his trial, the Feds claimed AR-Ab “routinely posted rap videos and other messages on social media in which he communicated threats of violence, and which demonstrated his power and authority within the organization.”

“West and his OBH co-defendants pumped huge quantities of deadly drugs into our community,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Williams. “As the evidence presented at trial showed, the defendant’s violent lyrics weren’t just creative expression, they were truthful depictions of the mayhem OBH created on the streets of Philadelphia. Our Office is determined to continue doing everything we can by being ‘All Hands On Deck’ to get violent criminals like OBH off the streets.”

In total, the feds indicted nine OBH defendants, all of whom will convicted or pled guilty, thanks in part to the government’s star witness, former O.B.H. member Dontez “Tez” Stewart.

Stuart testified against his former associates after he was accused of murdering a rival drug dealer named Robert Johnson.

At one point, AR-Ab was one of the most promising rappers in the city, before he got caught up in the drug case.

He was reportedly going to sign with Drake’s OVO imprint at one point, and he was also rumored to be close to inking with Cash Money Records, although neither deal panned out.

Bobby Brown Admits He Feels Responsible For Son’s Drug Overdose Death

Bobby Brown partly blames himself for exposing his son Bobby Brown Jr. to his own drug use following the 28-year-old’s overdose death last year.

Coroners recently ruled Brown, Jr. died after accidentally ingesting a deadly cocktail of drugs and alcohol on November 18th, when he was found unresponsive at his Los Angeles home, but the singer insists his son wasn’t an addict.

“He wasn’t a user. He would experiment with different things. It wasn’t like he was dependent on drugs like when I was in my situation,” Bobby Brown said on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk show.

Addressing his own history of substance abuse, he said, “I depended (on it), I needed it. He was a young man who tried the wrong stuff and it took him out of here.”

Bobby admits he feels somewhat responsible for his son’s decision to dabble in drugs, because Bobby Brown, Jr. had witnessed his dad high growing up.

“I’ve been through my time, and I know my time played a part in my son feeling he could test something,” Bobby shared of his troubled past. “I feel guilty about that.”

The musician also confessed losing Brown, Jr. was “very unexpected, just like losing” his daughter with the late Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Brown, who died in 2015, six months after she was found unresponsive in her bathtub, with drugs listed as a contributing factor in her passing.

Despite the latest family tragedy, Bobby has managed to maintain his 19-year sobriety from drugs, while revealing he forced himself to quit alcohol almost a year ago, as his body could no longer handle the abuse.

“My body started shutting down because I was drinking that much. My body was giving out on me…,” he explained. “I couldn’t accept going to the bathroom on myself.”

Eminem’s Real Life Stan Stalked Rapper Before Breaking Into Rap Star’s Detroit Mansion

Last April, Eminem came face-to-face with a real live Stan.

As previously reported by AllHipHop.com, Michael David Hughes, 27, was arrested after breaking into the “Rap God’s” Clinton Township, MI home and threatening to kill him.

Somehow, the man broke into Em’s gated community and was able to get into his bedroom— where the star was sleeping.

New reports revealed during a preliminary hearing about Hughes home invasion, that this was not the first time that Hughes came to one of Eminem’s homes.

Macomb County prosecutors submitted to Macomb County Circuit Judge Edward Servitto that on June 1, 2019, Hughes popped up at Rochester Hills property, a home that was once owned by Slim Shady.

In 2017, Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, sold it. He purchased the property in 2003 for $4.8 million.

The judge was convinced that he is a menace.

Still, Hughes believed he lived there. Apparently, the “homeless” stalker rang the doorbell and asked the current owner if the chart-topper still lived there.

The homeowners said that they had also once found the man sleeping in a guest house.

David Hughes is currently locked up in Macomb County Jail. Due to COVID-19 restrictions in the courthouse, the trial has been pushed until May 21.

Jennifer Lopez Is Single Again; Relationship With Alex Rodriguez Officially Done

They tried to make it work, but Jennifer Lopez and her ex-fiancé Alex Rodriguez have called it quits.

Rumors about their breakup emerged earlier this year, however, neither celeb confirmed it to the prying eyes of the media. That is until Thursday, April 15th.

The two, in a prepared joint statement, shared with the Today show that after a two-year engagement the couple known as J-Rod was no more.

“We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects,” the statement said.

“We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.”

The former Yankee and the pop star/actress started dating in 2017 and immediately became eye candy for the media. Fans will also miss their seemed-to-be perfect coupling.

The statement comes days after another major announcement in Jenny from the Block’s life.

Weh… break up or not … you know J-Lo’s gonna get that bag. Better ask, Diddy.

Did Usher & His UshBucks Get Him In Trouble With Some Vegas Gangstas?

This is going to be interesting. R&B singer Usher is all the rage right now, as he has been distributing his own UshBucks all over the place. Now Usher Bucks or UshBucks are basically fake money with Usher’s face on it, but there’s a little bit more to the story.

If you recall about a week ago or so, some strippers claimed that Usher try to pay them in this fake money – that happens to look really official. And people were laughing at the singer, but his PR machine moved quickly through TMZ, stating that he was simply promoting himself. Fast track to current era there are new developments already.

Basically, the OWNER of a Las Vegas nightclub is saying that the strippers from that night were in fact paid in commemorative Usher Bucks. This owner was not on the premises at the time of the party, but he disputed what the club manager previously said, stating that the club manager should have never allowed fake money to be mixed in with real money. They do acknowledge that some of the dancers were paid in real money, but small denominations, not the hundreds that the UshBucks were in. $100s!

On top of that, the club owner says that the liquor that was served and “drunken” last night should at least have been paid for and the ladies should have been tipped for all that free liquor. Apparently they paid for SOME, but it was at a discount. Why does URSH get a discount and I don’t?

LASTLY, it seems like it’s getting a bit gangsta. This is ALL and speculation but it seems like somebody wants the money to be paid to make the club “WHOLE.” And what that means is basically PUT UP or there will be issues later on down the line!

Well, there is a good ending to the story. It seems like Usher is willing to return and “make things right” with the club!

Here is what the owner said:

“I thought it was a joke when I first heard about it,” Sapphire owner Peter Feinstein said in a phone chat Monday. “I guess part of his entourage came in with a briefcase full of these ‘Ushbucks’ and they were passing them around. Now I’m getting all these calls from all these different news outlets interested in what happened.”

I can’t help but…

Minnesota Cop Who Killed Daunte Wright Charged With Second-Degree Manslaughter

Even as the country is in the thick of the Derek Chauvin murder trial, the police-involved killing that took the life of George Floyd, yet in another part of the same town, another Black man has been murdered by a cop.

Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old father of one was shot and killed on Sunday, April 11th in Minneapolis after a random traffic stop by Officer Kimberly Potter of the Brooklyn Center Police department, ironically 10 miles from the courthouse where Chauvin is being tried for Floyd’s death.

Both former officers Potter and Chauvin (the first white cop in Minnesota to be charged for a Black person’s death) are sure to be compared in the media for the shooting death of two African American males.

It took four days for Chauvin to be arrested and charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, Potter was taken into custody in three days, after days of civil unrest (similarly to the Floyd/Chauvin murder).

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) arrested Potter on Wednesday, April 14th at 11:30 am CST.

However, the arrest was not before she and the current police chief resigned their posts. Potter had already served 26 years on the force.

Potter, a 48-year-old mother, was booked into the Hennepin County Jail and charged with second-degree manslaughter. Should the courts find her guilty, she could serve up to 20-year-old and have a fine of $20,000.

She contends that the death was an accident, stating that she confused her gun for her taser.

But the Wright family’s attorney believes differently; Ben Crump submits that it was an execution.

As this story is developing, the Wright family is planning a funeral and gearing up to pursue justice.

Hip-Hop Powerhouses Jay-Z, Diddy, Nas, And LL Cool J Endorses Ray McGuire For New York City Mayor

Jay-Z, Diddy and Nas have all endorsed candidate Ray McGuire and his “inclusive comeback” plans for New York, as the city’s mayor.

The rappers all appeared on a Zoom call with the mayoral candidate, Angie Martinez, and Steve Stoute to discuss businessman McGuire’s campaign, with Jay-Z commenting: “When New York’s the most vibrant, It was because it was a destination for people to come there and create.”

Jay added that he’d initially reached out to McGuire to ask if he’d be interested in running a fund he was hoping to “start for black and brown people.”

And when McGuire told him of his plans to run for mayor, the “Empire State of Mind” star realized “there goes that!” But added: “I understood where he was coming from.”

“It’s just about how many people we can reach and what’s most urgent right now,” Jay-Z concluded.

Nas added that he’s decided to endorse McGuire because “everything he’s saying is what I want to hear,” while Diddy commented that he’s interested in anything that helps New York get out of the “state of emergency” it’s currently in.

“New York could be the first city that really does something bold to take care of the people. That’s why I was excited about this conversation, just knowing Ray… Ray was always talking about the people,” he continued.

Diddy is more involved in the campaign than he let on, and will be an “integral part in how we reach voters.”

McGuire also has the support of other stars including Spike Lee, Steve Martin, LL Cool J, Naomi Campbell, and Christy Turlington.

Cardi B Blasts “Blue-Check Republicans” For Not Addressing Police Brutality

Over the last week, America has had to directly face multiple incidents of police brutality. The ongoing murder trial for former police officer Derek Chauvin reminded the country of the horrific, public killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota last May.

Then just miles away from where Chauvin pressed his knee into Floyd’s neck for nine minutes as the victim was held down on the ground, unarmed 20-year-old Daunte Wright was killed by Brooklyn Center Officer Kim Potter on April 11 when the 26-year veteran of the force fired her gun at Wright instead of her Taser. Potter was charged with second-degree manslaughter.

This week also saw footage of Black/Latino Army Lt. Caron Nazario being held at gunpoint, pepper-sprayed, and harassed during a traffic stop in Windsor, Virginia go viral. The incident took place on December 5, but Nazario filed a federal lawsuit against Windsor officers Joe Gutierrez and Daniel Crocker earlier this month.

With all three of those stories making national news at the moment, Hip Hop superstar Cardi B had a question for her right-leaning critics on social media. The Invasion of Privacy hitmaker called out verified Republican Twitter users that she believes have remained silent on the issue of excessive police violence.

“Ya been real [quiet]. Twitter Blue-check Republicans are a f##### joke. I don’t ever want to see yaa ranting on celebrities, athletes until yall address what’s REALLY WRONG IN AMERICA!” tweeted the 28-year-old, Bronx-raised Afro-Latina on Wednesday.

That tweet was accompanied by a 1-minute selfie video where Cardi continued to question online conservatives who are not willing to use their platform to combat systemic racism. She said, “Where the f### are you Twitter blue-check Republicans at? Y’all are the loudest on this m############ app. Y’all not saying nothing. Y’all not complaining. Y’all blame everything on what’s wrong in America besides the police.”

Cardi has been a favorite target of online right-wingers, particularly Donald Trump supporters. Back in 2019, she famously threatened to “dog walk” Tomi Lahren when the conservative political commentator took issue with the rapper endorsing Democratic candidates. They also sparred on social media again in 2020 after George Floyd’s death.

Pro-Trump pundit Candace Owens feuded with Cardi for weeks on Twitter. Owens slammed Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s performance of “WAP” at this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony. The 31-year-old Republican pushed a fear-mongering campaign that claimed “WAP” was leading to the fall of the American empire.

In addition, Cardi B also clapped back at a longshot Republican California gubernatorial candidate who criticized her for not allowing her 2-year-old daughter Kulture to listen to “WAP.” However, after her latest history-making single “Up” rose to #1 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart in March, Cardi thanked “insane conservatives” for publicizing her Grammy performance which helped raise the streaming numbers for “Up.”

Mehcad Brooks Expresses Interest In Portraying DMX In A Biopic

After DMX’s passing on April 9, fans and entertainers around the world paid homage to the It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot album creator. There are already public conversations about immortalizing Earl Simmons in cinema.

The life story of DMX is primed to be a fascinating motion picture. A dramatic tale covering his troubled childhood in Yonkers, New York to his rise to becoming one of the top Hip Hop stars of his era could be a must-see production.

One actor appears to be throwing his name out there for a potential role as Dark Man X. Mehcad Brooks (The Game, True Blood) discussed the topic of a DMX biopic while appearing on SiriusXM’s The Clay Cane Show. The 40-year-old Texas native also praised Simmons as a special figure in Hip Hop history.

“So everybody talks about DMX is not the greatest rapper. I understand that. Everybody talks about 2Pac. Everybody talks about Biggie. Everybody talks about Jay-Z, Andre 3000, Eminem, Kendrick [Lamar]. Got it,” said Brooks. “But DMX spoke to me in a way that no other rapper did. DMX was our heavy metal.”

Cane asked Brooks if he would be interested in playing DMX in a movie. The Mortal Kombat star eventually responded, “Listen, I would be blessed. I would honor his memory in such a way, and I would be honored and humbled. From your lips to God’s ears. We’ll see.”

A screenwriter would have plenty of material to draw from for a script about Earl “DMX” Simmons. Besides his three-decade of musical releases, Simmons wrote a memoir titled E.A.R.L.: The Autobiography of DMX which was published in 2003. He also recorded part of his life for the 2006 BET reality series DMX: Soul of a Man.

Rostrum Records first launched in 2003. Since that time, the company released projects by Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, Innanet James, Rockie Fresh, Mod Sun, 24Hrs, Problem, DC The Don, and other acts. The label reportedly garnered more than 2.3 billion global streams in 2020.

“I’m excited to work with Rostrum in this next chapter of life and music,” says Rich. “This is a partnership that will be vital to showing artists that they can be independent and still win on a mainstream level. With the help of Benjy, Jae, and the Rostrum team, we will take over the summer and everything after.”

Rich The Kid dropped his debut studio LP, The World Is Yours, in 2018 under the Interscope umbrella. That project peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart and earned Platinum certification from the RIAA. His album discography also includes 2019’s The World Is Yours 2 (Interscope) and 2020’s Boss Man (Republic).

Earlier this year, Rich released the Lucky 7 EP via Empire Distribution. The New York City-born, Atlanta-bred rapper also founded his own label, Rich Forever Music, in 2016. The Rich Forever roster has included Famous Dex, Jay Critch, YBN Almighty Jay, SipTee, and more.

Boosie Badazz Reacts To Officer Who Shot Daunte Wright Being Charged With Manslaughter

Large parts of the nation are once again traumatized by the images of an unarmed Black man losing his life at the hands of a police officer. This time, 20-year-old Daunte Wright was killed during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota on April 11.

48-year-old Officer Kimberly Ann Potter is seen in body camera footage shooting Wright with her firearm as he apparently attempted to flee the scene in his vehicle. The father of a two-year-old son was originally pulled over for an expired registration tag, but the cops on the scene got word that he had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

Brooklyn Center police chief Tim Gannon claimed Potter accidentally shot Wright by mistakingly discharging her Glock 9mm handgun instead of her yellow Taser. However, Gannon also admitted that officers in his department are trained to keep their guns on their dominant-hand side and their Tasers on their weak-hand side to avoid confusion.

Following days of peaceful and violent incidents, both Potter and Gannon resigned from their positions. Yesterday (April 14), Kimberly Potter was arrested and charged with second-degree manslaughter. She was reportedly remanded to the Hennepin County Jail.

There have been plenty of reactions to the news that Potter will be prosecuted for killing Daunte Wright. Some people believe second-degree manslaughter was appropriate in this case. Others felt the 26-year veteran of the force should have been charged with murder.

For example, Louisiana-bred rapper Boosie Badazz seemingly fell into the latter group. The always outspoken “Wipe Me Down” performer tweeted, “2nd-degree manslaughter WTF IF FOUNDHOOKOOKOOHOUIBBBBIBOBOOO N OOOOYU B#### HBITCH B#### U.”

The Wright family’s attorneys – Benjamin Crump, Jeff Storms, and Anthony Romanucci – said in a statement, “While we appreciate that the district attorney is pursuing justice for Daunte, no conviction can give the Wright family their loved one back. This was no accident. This was an intentional, deliberate, and unlawful use of force.”

“Jet Life prides itself as being ahead of the game,” says Jet Life Recordings President Mousa Hamdan. “We’re very excited to team up with Bondly and enter into the future of fine art and collectibles.”

Consumers will get the NFT-only EP Financial District with their purchase. Plus, Curren$y is auctioning off a 1-of-1 musically inspired art piece designed by NFT 3D animating graphic artist Kid Eight.

The auction will run for three days with the highest bidder receiving flights and hotel accommodations to attend and meet with Curren$y at a future event. In addition to the one auction piece, the NFT sale also features three NFT tiers.

The three tiers offer the option to purchase:

Previously, Bondly worked with R&B/Hip Hop star Tory Lanez to release two records from his Playboy album as NFTs. The Bondly Finance/Jet Life partnership includes an NFT digital storefront for Curren$y’s label. The sale takes place Tuesday, April 20 at 4:20 pm EST at www.jetlifeapparel.com.

“What Curren$y has cultivated with his JetLife fan-base is the exact type of forward-thinking artist we want to partner with,” says Bondly Finance CEO Brandon Smith. “Releasing an exclusive NFT only EP in this manner is the iteration from what he’s done previously using BitTorrent technology but drives more interpersonal engagement.”

Smith continues, “He’s really created something special for his diehard fans by limiting access to the EP, pairing it with dope art, and then inviting them to join him for a special virtual smoke session before his show. Who else does that?”

Mystikal Is Done With Groupies After Beating Bogus Rape Charge

Louisiana rapper Mystikal has experienced great highs and horrible lows in his career.

Most recently, the former No Limit soldier was caught up in a #MeToo scandal— deterring his hopes to get back on the chart.  Over the last few days, his side of the story has emerged. The rapper is not only reflective of his career, but also his faith, and his future.

The “Shake it Fast” rapper told the Associated Press, “When I look back and listen to the music, man — I was a nasty lil’ rapper!”

“A lot of my music now, I imagine myself rapping it to God and if I can rap it, I’m proud,” he continued.

His tune has changed since the 1990s when he burst on the scene. Perhaps his criminal past added to his shift in his mindset. In 2003 Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Lawrence Tyler, pled guilty to a sexual battery charge.  For this crime, he served six years in prison and was finally released in 2010.

Then by 2016, he was accused of first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping.

In December of 2020, Louisiana’s Caddo Parish District Attorney closed the investigation, declined to indict, and dismissed the charges … yes after serving a year and a half.

Those charges too were dismissed … albeit four years later. The case seemed shaky from jump. The rapper says that after his “Legends of Southern Hip-Hop” in Shreveport, Louisiana, he went out partying and had sex with a woman.

He contends that the woman was there with her boyfriend. He said the woman claimed she was raped instead of admitting that she cheated on her man.

Britney Green worked on the case for the District Attorney’s office and was familiar with the case.

She said, “There was additional information that surfaced that the original grand jury did not have an opportunity to consider at the time that the charges were brought forward.”

“We then decided that the case needed to stop there because the (second) grand jury did not return an indictment after the review of the additional evidence.”

“We never want to be a part of any process that has an innocent person tied up in the criminal justice process,” Green continues. “I just want to say that there is a distinction between not guilty and innocent, and that also because the case is dismissed or a case is resolved in a fashion other than at trial, that it doesn’t necessarily mean that an incident did not happen.”

The cloud was lifted and almost immediately after the charges were dropped and he said that stuff started popping again.

According to the AP article, the song “Feel Right,” a hit song that he and Mark Ronson put out in 2015, placed on the “Coming2America” soundtrack was a sign that maybe things were going to get better.

“It felt like God was winking his eye at me,” the award-winning songwriter said. “That’s what strengthens my spirituality right now, things like that.”

When asked about his future and if his fans will accept him back, he said, “I can’t do nothing about that, but I try to understand where they’re coming from. At this point in age, I’m just grateful to still be able to participate. At my concerts, man, I still (have a) packed house after all this time. It’s amazing.”

“I don’t do the groupies on the road (anymore),” he declared. “I don’t perform at the show and get the ladies (excited) and get her all goo-goo eyed and take advantage (of being a celebrity) … That was a young Mystikal.”

Prodigy’s Daughter Santana Fox Disses Flee Lord, BUT WHY!?!

Rest in peace Prodigy.

Well, we are looking at a new day. A new day is here and there’s nothing we can do to stop it. This is not the days of Mobb Deep, this is a new day. So let’s get it started…

Prodigy has a daughter and her name is Santana Fox. And Santana Fox is a rapper, that raps! Another rapper is Flee Lord. Flee Lord infamously did a whole album dedicated to Prodigy and it was well received by the community of Hip-Hop. We like that joint, In The Name Of Prodigy. It came out last year.

This year, in the year 2021, Santana Fox has recorded a diss song to Flee Lord. And we don’t know why! Now, I want you to listen to the song and maybe you can tell me why P’s daughter is dissing Flee Lord! But it seems like a recording deal was rejected to the sum of $50,000. To many of us, myself included $50,000 is a lot of money, but if you are the daughter of a legendary rap artist you may be able to turn that down and keep it pushing. At any rate, this is sad because Flee Lord really did show a lot of love to prodigy and she appeared on the album and that’s what’s baffling people.

There may be some more to this that we don’t know, but it seems like perhaps Free Lord may have some unreleased Prodigy music that we haven’t heard yet. It also suggests that Havoc was paid about 40 Grand to appear on the project. Honestly, I can’t really decipher through all of this so if you know something that I don’t know please put it in the comments and let’s get to the bottom of this!

Rest in peace Prodigy!

The Man That Allegedly Gave DMX Weed Laced With Crack Is Talking!

DMX was telling this story at the beginning of his career, middle of his career and was crying at all of this at the end of career and this guy has had nothing to say until DMX dies.

So, I had to get the end out in the beginning. Basically, the guy that allegedly gave DMX weed laced with crack cocaine is now speaking out. Remember last year, when DMX did an interview with Talib Kweli and he was broken down and crying? I remember that so vividly it feels like it was yesterday. And I remember when DMX told his story also in the Ruff Ryders documentary from BET. And THEN we were mad at this guy – the one that poisoned DMX with CRACK! Well now Ready Ron wants to “tell his side.”

Hold on bro! You had years and years and years and years and years to tell your side of the story! DMX has been extremely consistent from day one, and you haven’t hired a publicist, reached out or even tried to get press from anybody that I know of! And the second DMX dies (or in a coma), suddenly you want press. Now, you don’t get press, because we know that DMX was a truthful individual, who bore his soul to us and was more than authentic! And you, sir, are coming out of the woodwork to most of us and now I wanting to tell your side of the story after Dark Man X has died. It just doesn’t work like that!

More than that, BET brought the receipts! He claims in a video that media outlets are not giving him opportunity to speak, but BET pulled out receipts on social media showing that they reached out to him to tell his side of the story in the documentary series they had. I don’t know why he didn’t respond, but that’s not my problem! They did indeed reach out!

Furthermore, my guy, the allegedly man that gave X crack, has social media and can actually tell the story on his own platform for all to see, unedited and we would simply re-posted is anyway like I’m about to repost this silly clip of him rebuking DMX in Death. DMX is not here to defend himself and you almost seem like a coward right now. As if DMX was going to beat that tail if he was here. Everybody, including myself, is emotional over DMX’s death and we are not about to entertain this foolishness but if you want to talk, SPEAK.

Now you can read the first paragraph again.

P.S. Hate mail unearthed this dude. Wow.

EXCLUSIVE: G Herbo Gets Another Win In Fraud Case As No Contact List Restrictions Eased

Rapper G Herbo is ramping up to have an active summer, now that the judge has eased more restrictions on him over his fraud case.

In December of 2020, G Herbo was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and two counts of aggravated identity theft, for his alleged involvement in a nationwide scam.

The Feds claim G Herbo, born Herber Wright III, was part of a ring that bilked hotels, private jet companies, and rental car businesses out of millions of dollars using stolen credit cards.

In addition to G Herbo, his manager and four other associates were also hit with the same charges in a 14-count indictment.

When G Herbo was charged, the rapper was ordered to have no contact with several of his key business associates.

Those included on a “no contact” list issued by the government included Joseph Bowden, Diandre Davis, Kimberly Fernandez, Mykkel Nance, Deandre Woods, and his half-brother, Cecil Davis,.

But thanks to a new ruling, those constraints have been eased.

A judge just ruled that G Herbo can now associate with Joseph Bowden who is the rap star’s business partner. Bowden manages G Herbo’s day-to-day affairs and is the CEO of Wright’s record label. He also directs Machine Entertainment Group which holds all of G Herbo’s performance licenses.

Diandre Davis is another key associate of G Herbo and serves as his tour manager. Davis is key because he books the lucrative gigs for the Chicago M.C.

G Herbo’s aunt, Kimberly Fernandez is the rapper’s part-time as a personal assistant, while Mykkel Nance is his personal manager.

Deandre Woods is G Herbo’s DJ and a producer for his performances and finally, Cecil Davis is the rapper’s half-brother, who sometimes pops up at family events.

The ruling is great news for G Herbo since the same judge decided the rapper should be permitted to travel as he fights the accusations the government has leveled against him.

For the record, G Herbo has pleaded not guilty to the charges and has maintained his innocence.

G Herbo even released a record called “Statement” in which he disputes the allegations against him.
