Cardi B & Offset Accused Of Fueling Split Rumors To Distract From Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2”

Cardi B and Offset unfollowed each other on Instagram amid cryptic posts from the couple, sparking accusations from Nicki Minaj fans that they are faking marriage drama to steal headlines the week Pink Friday 2 is set to be released.

Rumors of a split began Monday (December 4) when eagle-eyed fans noticed they’d unfollowed each other. The couple also took to Instagram with cryptic posts.

“You know sometimes you just outgrow relationships,” the “Bongos” hitmaker wrote in her Instagram Stories. “I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings… I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST.”

Additionally, shortly before Cardi B posted, Offset took to his Instagram Stories with a clip from the 1983 Al Pacino classic, Scarface. In the snippet, Pacino’s character shouts: “Hey, f### you, man! Who put this thing together? Me. That’s who. Who do I trust? Me.”

Following up with an Instagram Live, Cardi B said she wants to shed “dead weight” ahead of the New Year. “A lot of people are dead weight too,” she said before adding that she also needs to stop protecting people’s feelings.

“Big shoes are going to have to be filled and some people are going to get the f### out,” she claimed.

Social media users speculated that the couple, who overcame infidelity accusations earlier this year, had hit a rough patch, leading to accusations from Nicki Minaj fans that Cardi B and Offset cooked up the split rumors as a PR stunt geared to divert attention from the upcoming Pink Friday 2 album, due later this week.

“If you think Cardi B is leaving her P.I.M.P (Offset) you must be out your rabbit a## mind,” one fan wrote. “This is Nicki week. The social media antics will run a week long. Tomorrow will be a video or rant/outburst. Remember Cardi said she wanted to do a ‘Lemonade’ Esq album.. she probably wants to make those old songs make sense… I’m not slow. Yall can be.”

Memphis Bleek Says Jay-Z Was Head-Cracking Troublemaker: “Hov Will Put Knuckles On You”

Memphis Bleek claims the cool, laid-back Jay-Z fans know and love today used to be a head-cracking troublemaker with the hands to back it up.  The former Roc-A-Fella signee took a walk down memory lane during a recent interview with DJ Superstar Jay on SiriusXM. In a preview clip, Bleek recalls “the illest” thing that happened while on tour with Jay-Z.

“Y’all young n####s ain’t really been through nothing,” he began. “Until you turned the club upside down and they lock you in the club and now you have to pay to leave, you ain’t really turned up.

Memphis Bleek told a story about the time Jay-Z had to fork out $50,000 to a Miami club before they could leave after trashing the place.

“We turned this club up in Miami upside down,” he explained. “They made us pay 50 grand to leave. Hov, he had to pay 50 racks. Police and everything, they extorted the f### out of us. We cracked heads, foreheads, faces. We was going crazy. They locked the doors, we had to pay to get out. They shook us up.”

According to Bleek, back in the late 1990s, “’Streets Is Watching‘ Hov” was not to be played with. “They see billionaire dread Hov, they think my man ain’t got them hands. Hov will put knuckles on you. He’ll put them hard bottoms on your a## too.”

Furthermore, Memphis Bleek claimed Jay-Z “used to start trouble too.” He added, “That Cristal n####, he was on some s###, just know that. All that cool, laid-back Beyoncé Hov, I love it, but back then, he was on some s###.”

Blueface Claims Chrisean Rock & Jaidyn Alexis “Joined Forces” To Trash His Home

Blueface claims he got a double dose of baby mama drama when Chrisean Rock and Jaidyn Alexis hooked up and trashed his home. The “Thotiana” hitmaker hopped on Instagram Live Monday (December 4) to show off the aftermath. Blueface walks from room to room, assessing the damage as the women mock him off-camera.

“They done tore up my house, joined forces,” Blueface exclaimed as Jaidyn Alexis called him “an embarrassment” while Chrisean Rock laughed in the background.

Look at what they did to my house,” he said, showing belongings strewn around the living room and kitchen. “Look at this s###.”

Meanwhile, Alexis continued to berate Blueface, calling him a “b#### a## n####,” and a “pathetic embarrassment.”

The latest installment of the Blueface, Chrisean Rock and Jaidyn Alexis saga began this weekend after the West Coast rapper accused Rock of abandoning their baby son in the middle of the night.

“It’s crazy, my son ain’t got no parent at four in the morning,” Blueface said, collecting his son from Rock’s friend, Marsh.

However, the “Baby Father Drama” rapper later claimed she left the baby with her friend while she was at the studio. She also accused Blueface of beating her friend, leaving her with visible injuries.

“I can show you Marsh face, she got slits on her mouth and her face and her eye,” she said.

Chrisean Rock & Jaidyn Alexis Instagram Live

A few hours later, Chrisean Rock and Jaidyn Alexis teamed up and went live from a gas station. Rock repeated her claims about Blueface beating up Marsh and also accused him of getting into an accident with their son in the vehicle.

“It don’t matter who I was with,” Rock stated. “So, then I’m like, ‘he got the baby?’ He got in a car accident with the baby. It’s just some weird s### going on.”

Jeezy Claims Jeannie Mai Wasn’t “Blindsided” By Divorce—Cites Serial Marriage Counseling

Jeezy has reportedly responded to Jeannie Mai’s claim that she was “blindsided” by the announcement of their pending divorce. On Monday (December 4), sources close to Jeezy told TMZ that Mai’s claims were “absolutely false,” citing “clear signs” of the relationship unraveling “right before their eyes” over a long period of time. In fact, Jeezy and Mai had allegedly been “serially engaged” in marriage counseling and apparently saw multiple professionals before the Atlanta rapper determined the relationship was “irretrievably broken.”

While Jeezy has yet to confirm what triggered the beginning of the end for he and Mai, however he did cite there was “no hope for reconciliation” in the divorce filing submitted in Fulton County Superior Court last September.

Jeezy opened up about the decision to split with Mai in a statement in released in October. “The decision to end this chapter in my life was not made impulsively and comes with a heavy heart,” he said in part. “Despite this, my love and respect for Jeannie remains and the time we spent together holds a cherished place in my heart.”“The decision to end this chapter in my life was not made impulsively and comes with a heavy heart,” he said. “Despite this, my love and respect for Jeannie remains and the time we spent together holds a cherished place in my heart.”

Mai accused Jeezy of cheating in court documents filed on November 30. Jeezy’s rep denied any infidelity.

Irv Gotti Mercilessly Trolled Amid Ashanti & Nelly Pregnancy Rumors—Produces Meme Gold

Irv Gotti became a trending Twitter topic on Monday (December 4) as rumors of Ashanti’s pregnancy ran rampant. Fans believe Nelly and Ashanti are having their first child together after a video of him rubbing her tummy over the weekend went viral.

Coupled with US Weekly‘s purported confirmation—which included a source saying, “Nelly and Ashanti are welcoming their first baby together”—it provided the perfect opportunity to troll Gotti, who once suggested he had a romantic relationship with her.

Gotti, who founded Murder Inc. Records in 1997, signed Ashanti in 2001, but she ultimately wound up leaving. In an August 2022 Drink Champs interview, Gotti talked extensively about Ashanti and seemed to double down on dating her. However, not long after, she shut the notion down, telling Angie Martinez at the time, “Let’s clear this up. We’re not gonna say relationship. We dealt with each other, but was Irv my boyfriend? Was I his girlfriend? Never…Irv had several girlfriends, so I’m a little confused by the label and the description.”

Fed up with all of the chatter, Gotti addressed his Drinks Champs comments on The Shade Room‘s Instagram account after he was asked why he kept talking about her.

“Cause that’s why—you askin’ me,” he replied. “Did I bring Ashanti up? You did it. Here’s what I’m going to say. I wish Ashanti nothing but the best. I’m not hooked on her, like ‘I can’t get over her.’ It’s none of that s###.”

He added, “I got paid to do a documentary on my life and on Murder Inc. If I didn’t talk about Ashanti, you would have been like what kind of b####### is this that he didn’t speak about her. She’s too important to Murder Inc. and his life. They tried to #MeToo me. You know what the f### they said. Stop it Shade Room. You the shadiest ones.”

Still, Gotti was accused of being obsessed with her, and the baby bump rumors were all it took to drag him right back into it. The memes, of course, have erupted online.

Boosie Badazz Responds To Backlash For Encouraging Daughter’s Boyfriend To Cheat

Boosie Badazz responded to the backlash to his remarks about his daughter’s new boyfriend on Monday (December 4). The Baton Rouge native insisted he was a good father and dismissed his critics on social media.

“BEFORE U QUESTION MY PARENTING AS A DADDY ASK YOURSELF IS YOUR DADDY A BETTER PARENT THAN ME,” Boosie wrote on Instagram. “WHAT RAPPER U KNOW GOT MULTIPLE BABY MOMAS N THEY KIDS ALL GREW UP LOVING EACH OTHER, TRAVELING WITH EACH OTHER N HAS ALWAYS BEEN N THEY LIVES AS A DADDY N PROVIDED FOR THEM ALL GTFOH DONT PLAY WITH ME WITH THIS DADDY SH.t I GET N MY FEELINGS.”

Boosie faced pushback for saying, “You can cheat on her but don’t beat on her,” when discussing his daughter’s relationship on Instagram Live. His remarks went viral, leading to people to question his parenting.

The opinionated rapper refused to tolerate anyone accusing him of being a bad father. He defended his eyebrow-raising remarks and mentioned his close bond with his daughter. Boosie also took a shot at the people condemning him, suggesting they were mad because they didn’t have a good father.

“I’m not the type of daddy that get in my daughter’s relationships ‘bout no cheating or nothing like that,” he said in an Instagram video. “But if you beat on her then that’s a different thing. That’s my problem … Me and my daughter, me and Pretty Black is thick as thieves. I talk to her about anything. She talk to me about anything.”

He continued, “A lot of y’all commenting negative about my parenting and all that, I’m a damn good daddy, baby. Damn good daddy – daddy first. A lot of y’all, y’all never had a father. Y’all ain’t gonna call him ‘cause he ain’t s###.”

Sonny Digital Believes “A Lot” Of People Tried To Blackball Him In Music Industry

Hitmaker Sonny Digital admitted he was frustrated with his producing career in an interview with Atlanta’s B High. The veteran producer, whose credits include iLoveMakonnen’s “Tuesday” and YC’s “Racks,” explained why he turned his attention to rapping with the release of his debut album Dolores Son.

“Producing the stuff is cool but to become a multi-millionaire producer and stuff, the things that you gotta do, I’m just not … just my morals and a lot of things just don’t align with that s###,” he told B High. “I started making beats ‘cause I like making beats. I ain’t started doing it to—I ain’t even start doing it for the money and stuff though. That was so totally like, it just came with it. But when it came with it, it kinda became that job and made me stop liking doing it as much though.”

Sonny claimed people attempted to blackball him because he spoke out about financial issues in the music industry. The producer said he avoided blackballing by working with new artists.

“When I would say things pertaining to fair business to me as a producer, I be getting looked at weird though because I be the only one shouting that s###,” he said. “I feel like, not for nothing, I felt like a lot of people was trying to blackball me in the game. People wasn’t trying to work with me because of certain things, certain ways they felt or they think I was doing certain things and stuff. But the thing about it though, they kept forgetting: I couldn’t get blackballed though because everybody I was f###### with was new artists … You couldn’t really blackball me ‘cause you couldn’t really call my next move.”

Sonny mentioned he “kept getting the short end of the stick on the production end” despite producing for Future, Travis Scott and other Hip-Hop stars. He noted how after 10-15 years in the industry, he still felt like the public did not know who he was.

Last month, Sonny’s dropped his Dolores Son album via Atlantic Records. The project included collaborations with Juicy J and Seddy Hendrinx.

Ashanti & Nelly Fans Think They’re Expecting Based On Viral Tummy Touch Video

New music and a newborn could be on the horizon for rap’s current “it” couple Ashanti and Nelly. Rumors are swirling that the pair may have a baby on the way following a recent public appearance. Over the weekend, both Ashanti and Nelly were distinguished guests at a Black & White Ball, where they took the stage and shared a tender moment with the attendees.

As onlookers in the crowd chanted “seal the deal,” both Ashanti and Nelly appeared to place their hands on the “What’s Love” singer’s belly—seemingly indicating they were expecting. Aside from the bashful embrace the couple shared, in addition to the ear-to-ear smiles they were sporting, there were no other clear indications to confirm it was a pregnancy announcement.

Considering the pair are gearing up to roll out their collaborative single with Jermaine Dupri and Juicy J of Three 6 Mafia soon, folks could jumping the gun. But then again, maybe they are on to something.

Slim Thug Makes Statement About Drake, Jewish People & Black Music…Uh Oh

Slim Thug—also known as Big Slim—is out here making some serious statements, and he runs the risk of being called antisemitic. Here’s the statement and the video to go with it:

“Jewish people should own Drake.. Jewish people should own Jewish music.. I don’t like that Jewish people own Black music… we need to take the culture back”

Slim Thug has been stirring up some real talk about who’s running the show in the Black music scene. Big dog hit up Instagram Live over the weekend and risked it all. The Houston rapper didn’t hold back and said, quite simply, he’s all about having Black culture in Black hands, plain and simple. What could be wrong with that?

He also said, “Jewish folks should vibe with Drake—he’s Jewish, right? They should be all about Jewish music. But Black music? That should be ours. If you’re not living and breathing our culture, why own it? We need Black voices owning our beats and bars. It’s all about fixing this imbalance for me. You ain’t Jewish, why you owning a Jewish artist’s tunes? If it ain’t your jam, why you claiming it? Nah, we’re not about that. Time to reclaim what’s ours. Especially when our people are struggling, we gotta own our sound.”

I think the Jewish highlight is going to raise some eyebrows. But Slim Thug continued on with his rant to say that each and every race should be the owners of their own particular brand of music. His statement arrived after he was challenged by somebody.

“Every culture should own their sound,” he continued. “Jewish, white, Spanish—everyone should rock their own beat. It’s not about racism; it’s fairness.”

He didn’t name too many names, but he did mention former Roc-A-Fella head honcho Dame Dash, who was ousted decades ago. I think there’s more to that, but he did toss out the phrase culture vultures.

“We’re done with culture vultures,” he said. “They tried to sideline Dame Dash, but he was on point—standing up for what’s ours.”

He also went at DJ Vlad. But Royce Da 5′ 9 recently put the onus on us. I’m thinking that he’s more in line with a forward thinking, not a reactionary way of thinking.

Check out that interview here.

What do you guys think about this? Honestly, this is nothing new, butI think that there is a different mindstate and people are seeing things in a different way.

Nevertheless, I think bro should take a class on how capitalism works and them come back to the table.

Jeannie Mai Says She Didn’t Know Jeezy Filed For Divorce Until Public Did

Jeannie Mai discussed how she’s coping with her divorce during an appearance on the Jennifer Hudson Show on Monday (December 4). The TV personality revealed she learned Jeezy was divorcing her when reports of the filing went public in September.

“At the time when I found out at the same time as the rest of the world that my marriage was ending in divorce, I was gutted,” she said. “So, yeah, today it’s about picking up the pieces. It’s about discovering me and being a mom to the best blessing in my life, my little girl.”

She added, “Even though this year I met the most broken version of me, I also met the strongest version of me.”

Jeezy, who shares a daughter with Mai, filed for divorce after less than three years of marriage. He publicly addressed the couple’s split by releasing a statement in October.

“The decision to end this chapter in my life was not made impulsively and comes with a heavy heart,” he said. “Despite this, my love and respect for Jeannie remains and the time we spent together holds a cherished place in my heart.”

Last month, Jeezy said therapy could not save his marriage in a conversation with Nia Long.

“This has not been an easy journey,” he told Long. “I can tell you that I’m sad. I can tell you that I’m disappointed. I can tell you that I’m uneasy. But God has put me on a different path and that path is going to entail for me to take care of myself and to love myself and to be in the best situation that I can thrive as someone who’s been through all of the things that I’ve been through.”

Mai accused Jeezy of cheating in court documents filed on November 30. Jeezy’s rep denied any infidelity.

Young Thug Trial Loses Juror After First Week Of Testimony

Judge Ural Glanville dismissed a juror in Young Thug’s Georgia RICO trial on Monday (December 4). The court proceedings moved forward without the juror due to her hospitalization.

“Over the weekend, Juror 269 was admitted to the hospital,” Judge Glanville said. “And I’m in receipt of the admission form, and as of current, she is still in the hospital. Her anticipated release date, potentially, is this coming Wednesday. So, as much as I’d like to wait till Wednesday, I’m gonna probably have to go ahead and excuse her due to illness.”

Judge Glanville decided to excuse the juror since he was not sure when she would be to return to court. The judge did not want to delay the trial, which began on November 27.

“I don’t want to excuse her, but I don’t think we have much choice,” Judge Glanville said. “‘Cause I don’t know whether or not she’s even gonna be available Wednesday … Since we have other alternate jurors, we’ll just go ahead and continue at this point in time, wish her the best.”

Defense attorneys raised no objections to dismissing the juror, but Young Thug’s lawyers informed Judge Glanville of their concerns with the prosecution’s handling of its witness list. The judge was frustrated with prosecutors as he previously spoke to them about the way they released their witness list.

Witness testimony resumed in Young Thug’s trial on Monday morning. Jurors heard from two investigators and a crime scene technician.

Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, is one of the six defendants on trial in the YSL RICO case. He has remained in jail since his May 2022 arrest.

The YSL rapper pleaded not guilty to racketeering and gang charges. His trial, which had a lengthy juror selection process, is expected to take months.

Blueface Claims Chrisean Rock Left Newborn Stranded In Middle Of Night

Blueface and Chrisean Rock’s personal drama has once again spilled over to social media due to a recent incident involving their newborn son.

Over the weekend, Blueface shared a pair of videos to his Instagram Stories, accusing Rock of abandoning their son with one of her associates. In the short clips, Blueface appears to be distraught and angry as he attempts to find out where Rock went without the baby in the middle of the night.

“It’s crazy, my son ain’t got no parent at four in the morning,” Blueface said in part. “Nobody wanna watch him. She got Marsh watching him at four in the morning. So what? So she can get some d##k? Do a verse, f### a n###a? All this so you can do a verse and suck some di###, you a booth b###h!”

Blueface appeared to threaten the woman he identified as Marsh, Rock’s friend, with a beatdown from his baby mama/new artist, Jaidlyn Alexis.

As the “Thotianna” rapper’s videos spilled over to Twitter (X), many users went back and forth both in support and opposition of Blueface’s outrage.

“Nah that baby too little to be left with a babysitter, and who knows if her friend is even one. Justice for that little baby,” one user wrote in a reply to the video on X while another added, “Didn’t he said, ‘He’s not the father,’ so he kidnapping a baby?”

Rock gave birth to her son on September 3, which means the youngster is just barely two months old at this point. Is that too young to leave a child with a babysitter?

Community Leader Outraged by Rapper’s Dropout of School Campaign

The allure of New York City during the holidays is something quite special, but my recent family trip there exposed us to a bewildering scene. Grand Central Station was abuzz with groups of teens, known as the “Z-gang,” disturbing the peace with chants of “f%k school” and  “Zmoneeey for President.”

With hundreds of gang members out promoting the movement, selling merchandise and urging each passerby to join the Z-list, their presence was impossible to ignore. Outraged by what I witnessed that day, I made a video about the Z-gang and posted it to my social media that same evening.

As a community leader based in Philadelphia, a city plagued with poverty and crime like many urban cities across America, the last thing we need is a ‘drop out of school trend’ becoming popular. Alarmed and intrigued, I decided to probe into the origins of Zmoneeey and the Z-gang.

Curiosity led me to interact with the most unusual member of the crew, a wheelchair bound, self-proclaimed ‘masked Z-ganger’ selling Z-Gang hoodies. He identified himself as Sparky Flinstone, spokesperson and co-founder of the Z-gang. Communicating through sign language and special interpreters, Sparky shared visions of a revolution funded by secret parties and driven by the ‘power of Z.’

Sparky’s words were quite unsettling as he detailed plans for a massive event in the making known as the Million Student March. The march will converge on the nation’s capital, drawing a parallel between the Z-Gang movement and the political stature of the current president. This revelation was extremely shocking and at the same time thought provoking.

Further investigation led me to a song by Zmoneeey titled “Saturday,” which has become a bit of a viral sensation for criticizing the public school system. From my perspective as an educator and a concerned parent, this entire scenario is deeply troubling. While the Z-Gang’s critique of the outdated educational system has some validity, promoting dropout culture and revolution seems dangerously anarchistic.

I hope my concerns are exaggerated, but video content from Zmoneeey’s social media accounts suggest otherwise. As 2023 comes to a close, my holiday shopping experience in the big apple has left me questioning the direction in which our youth and educational systems are headed. Will Jay-Z Drop Secret Birthday Album For Fans?

Don’t ask me how I get these things, but I get them. The word on the street is that Jay-Z may be dropping a surprise project for this birthday. It has been a very long time since we, the people, got an album from the god MC. Personally, I am really ready for such a thing to happen. But could it?

I am not so sure I believe this is true but let us ponder how such a rumor could have come to pass. There is a new movie coming up called The Book of Clarence and Jay-Z is supposedly slated to release new music for this. Jeymes Samuel‘s Biblical comedy stars Lakeith Stanfield and is slated to hit January 12, 2024.

How many tracks will Jay-Z drop? Any collaboration surprises? We’re all waiting on that. Remember, Jay and Jeymes have real history. They teamed up before for The Harder They Fall in 2021 and also Jay-Z: Legacy in 2017.

4:44 was the thirteenth and most recent solo studio album by Jigga way back in 2017. It was a hit and it definitely set Jay up to be one of the purveyor of so-called Adult Contemporary Hip-Hop. Then he came back crazy with Jay Electronica. I do not know what in the hell is going on, but 2024 would mark seven years since he left. To me, it sounds like the god has his numerology game together. You know Jay knows was seven means!

Do you think Jay could drop a new project this week? I am thinking “No”, but will manage my expectations for now. If we get anything new from Jay, that would be a treat. For the record, I know the site has mentioned this rumor so go back there for more details on how this came to be. I said all that to say…

Happy Birthday, Jay!

‘Bel-Air’ Star Jabari Banks Releases His Debut Single “Something Else”

Jabari Banks has dropped his debut single via Epic Records. “Something Else” arrived with a Joshua Medina-directed official music video.

“With the creation of ‘Something Else,’ I wanted to give life to the grey areas of infatuation,” Jabari Banks states. “I wanted to share where I was in that time, and I feel like along with my team we executed that well.”

The singer/actor continues, “Also very excited to be taking this first step with Epic Records, shout to Sylvia Rhone and Ezekiel Lewis for being headlights for the vision. I have a lot more to give, thanks for being here on this journey.”

Jabari Banks stars as Will Smith in Peacock’s Bel-Air drama series. He joined castmate Coco Jones as a major-label recording artist. Jones signed with Def Jam Recordings in 2022. She released the What I Didn’t Tell You EP later that year.

“Here at Epic, we could not be more excited that he chose to explore the musical facet of his journey with us,” says Epic Records President Ezekiel Lewis about working with Jabari Banks.

Lewis also adds, “Jabari is a multi-hyphenate young superstar in the making. Artists like him represent the future of entertainment and we could not resist the opportunity to join and assist with his upward movement.”

Bel-Air, a reimagined version of the classic NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, premiered in 2022. Peacock renewed the series for a third season in March of this year. That same month saw Jabari Banks go viral for his performance of Usher’s “Yeah” on That’s My Jam.

Nicki Minaj Cancels Chicago Concert Appearance—But Reveals Surprise Replacement

Nicki Minaj is preparing to let loose her fifth studio album in the coming days. However, the Young Money rapper had some bad news for her fans in the Windy City.

“I won’t be able to perform [tomorrow] in #Chicago for Jingle Ball,” she tweeted on Sunday (December 3). “I was so excited to see you guys. [Please] accept my sincerest apologies. I’ll make it up to you on the Chicago stops of my tour early next year,” Nicki Minaj tweeted on December 3. “My beloved brother/boss stepped up for me so that I wouldn’t have to push my album back. His name is Lil Wayne AKA the GOAT. He will perform [tomorrow at] the Chicago show.”

Nicki Minaj went on to let her followers know that she still plans to perform at the Atlanta Jingle Ball on December 14 and the Miami Jingle Ball on December 16.

Pink Friday 2 is scheduled to arrive on Friday (December 8). The sequel to 2010’s Pink Friday will be the rap superstar’s first full-length album since 2018’s Queen.

Nicki Minaj has raised the expectation bar very high for her upcoming body of work. Last month, she declared Pink Friday 2 will be one of the greatest albums of all time.

The original Pink Friday hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album at the 54th annual ceremony in 2012. Queen peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

Lil Nas X Fires Back At Christian Critics: “Y’all Do Not Know Jesus Personally”

Lil Nas X is unafraid to incorporate religious/demonic themes into his art. The openly gay rapper infamously gave “Satan” a lap dance in his “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)” music video.

The Georgia-bred rapper caused a lot of condemnation at the time. Two years later, Lil Nas X still generates a lot of backlash from certain groups of people.

“Y’all mind if I enter my Christian era?” Lil Nas tweeted on November 29, along with a teaser clip for a new song. A follow-up tweet read, in part, “Making Christian music does not mean I can’t suck dick no more.”

In response, John “Holy Gabbana” Hill blasted Lil Nas X on social media. The internet personality formerly known as Boonk Gang suggested that homosexual men cannot be followers of Jesus Christ.

“If Nas X wanna be gay, cool, do [you] lil bra,” Holy Gabbana wrote. “[Just] don’t title [yourself] a Christian and make others believe it’s okay for us to live in habitual/intentional sin. [People] deserve TRUTH and I stand on [the] word of God.”

The Montero album creator returned to Twitter (X) on Sunday (December 3) to react to Holy Gabbana. The 2x-Grammy Award winner expanded his response to also include other pious critics of his statements and his work.

“It’s really insane how y’all pretend some of our pastors aren’t getting piped down before the Sunday service,” Lil Nas X wrote. “Y’all do not know Jesus personally, stop trying to gatekeep him.”
