Chloe Bailey’s Team Manages Her Twitter Account After Trolls Called Her Too Sexy For The Platform

Chloe Bailey deleted Twitter after becoming targeted by online trolls on the platform.

While speaking to ET Canada for a new interview, the “Praise This” star revealed that she has delegated management of her account on the social media site to her team.

Chloe explained that while she used to oversee her own account and uses other social media platforms herself, she deleted Twitter from her phone after receiving backlash from fans for being “too sexy” and being negatively compared to her sister, Halle Bailey.

“When you see me ‘tweeting,’ it’s because I’ll say (to my team), ‘Oh, tweet this for me.’ Or I’ll be like, ‘Send me any viral tweets or anything you think I should respond to or you know I’d want to. Send it my way because you know I won’t see it,'” she said. “I love all social media, and I love Twitter as well, but that’s where you can see all the negative things about you directly in your face.”

The singer/actress continued, “If I see my name trending, I’d click it and see a whole plethora of negative tweets about myself. I don’t need to do that to myself.”

Social media commentators recently criticized Chloe’s sex scene with Damson Idris in the Prime Video series Swarm, to which she responded in her interview that she was “laughing about it” and “proud of her performance”.

However, she maintained that criticism on social media can take a toll.

“I feel that when you continue to be fed the same thing, you’ll start to believe it. And I started changing myself based off what I thought people’s opinions were of me,” the 24-year-old added. “That’s not O.K.”

James Mtume’s Timeless Legacy & Impact On Hip-Hop Recognized With Street Dedication In Philly

The impact of James Mtume’s music on the hip-hop community is undeniable.

As a Grammy-winning musician and producer, he crafted unforgettable melodies that continue to inspire generations of artists.

His influence can be heard in the works of several hip-hop legends, such as The Notorious B.I.G., who famously sampled Mtume’s “Juicy Fruit” in his iconic track “Juicy.”

Other artists like Mary J. Blige, Nas, and Keyshia Cole have also drawn from his rich musical catalog, further cementing his status as a pillar of the industry.

In recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the world of music, the City of Philadelphia is set to honor Mtume with a street-naming ceremony on May 12th, 2023.

The event will take place from 11 am to 2 pm ET on the 1500 block of Wharton Street, a location that holds deep significance for the late artist, as it marks the beginning of his journey into music, social activism, and politics.

The street-naming ceremony is organized by Philadelphia’s Second District, which is represented by Councilperson Kenyatta Johnson. Johnson, who has been serving the area since 2012, expressed his pride in honoring the musical legend and Philly native.

Faulu Mtume, son of the late James Mtume, expressed gratitude for the honor bestowed upon his father’s estate.

He shared his appreciation for the city’s acknowledgment of his father’s impact, stating, “It’s beyond words just how great this is, the City of Brotherly Love showing a mighty love for my father, a Philly native.”

James Mtume’s storied career began in jazz, playing alongside legends like Miles Davis and his father, saxophonist Jimmy Heath.

He later formed a fruitful partnership with songwriter and producer Reggie Lucas, creating hits for renowned artists such as Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway, Phyllis Hyman, and Stephanie Mills. His work extended to film and television soundtracks, including the movie “Native Son” and the TV series “New York Undercover.”

Mtume also co-hosted the New York City-based talk radio series, Open Line.

Sadly, James Mtume passed away on January 9th, 2022, after a battle with cancer.

He was 75 years old. The street-naming ceremony serves as a fitting tribute to a man whose musical genius and influence continue to reverberate through the industry.

Hoodcelebrityy Discusses Her Change Into “Tina” And Where She Goes From Here

HoodCelebrityy is now Tina.

Under her old moniker, Tina Pinnock – her government name – amassed millions and millions of views/streams/plays on a myriad of platforms. She garnered a granite-like fanbase that has grown with her through the years. Since exploding on the scene, the Jamaican-born singer/rapper has gradually matured and evolved. “What inspired the name change is growth,” Tina said recently. “I feel like I’ve grown so much as an artist, as a human – my sound has grown so much. I’m evolving.”

Admittedly, there have been some issues with the name HoodCelebrityy and she said she had do what she had to do to allow for that creative expansion.

Continuing, She said, “(I’m)about to go to the next level with me in my career and the next level where I won’t be able to be put in a box, cause I kept it real with y’all. They were trying to keep HoodCelebrityy in a box and for my fans, for people who love and support me and want to see me be at my full potential, HoodCelebrityy did her time. Now it’s Tina to take it to the next level.”

To prove her intent, she’s dropped a bevy of songs spewing hardcore bars and also riding the riddim. Furthering her effort, she’s talking to AllHipHop’s Jonny Fastlane. She explains the death of her old self and the rebirth of her new future.

The Weeknd Sought To Challenge Himself By Making HBO Show ‘The Idol’

The Weeknd explained why he ventured into the world of television.

Playwright Jeremy O. Harris talked to The Weeknd about the singer’s upcoming HBO series The Idol in Interview Magazine. The Canadian artist discussed his desire to see what he could do as a filmmaker.

“I want to challenge myself,” he said. “That alone ends up challenging my audience because they’ve been on this ride with me for 13, 14 years. They know that I never do anything the same as I did before. I let them know that at the beginning. Right after House of Balloons, I was like, “I’m going to give you Thursday,” which sounds nothing like House of Balloons and polarized a lot of my fans. It works a lot of times and sometimes it doesn’t, but what I know is that I do challenge myself, and this was a challenge.”

The Weeknd mentioned he approached his albums like a filmmaker. He was excited to finally put that mindset to work for his own TV show.

“This was something that I’ve always wanted to do,” he said. “Film and TV, mainly film, has always been kind of the heartbeat of everything I do artistically. If you see my music videos, even sonically, everything is so cinematic and referential to films that I obsess over.”

The Idol will be shown at the 2023 Cannes Festival in May. HBO hasn’t announced a premiere date for the series.

Pete Rock Echoes Drake’s Sentiments On AI: “It’s Mad Disrespectful”

Pete Rock has made his opinion on artificial intelligence perfectly clear.

On Sunday (April 16), the lauded Hip-Hop producer took his thoughts to Twitter, writing, “AI is mad disrespectful and if y’all dont see that but think this AI stuff is dope then you are a part of the problem. They cant beat Black culture, so what do they do when they cant measure natural talent? Silly s### like AI! AI is such a cowardly act that bears no real soul or feeling.”

Drake feels similarly. Last week, the OVO boss took to his Instagram Stories to react to an AI-generated song using his voice to cover Ice Spice’s “Munch” single.

Drake commented on the AI-generated music following a Financial Times report, which detailed Universal Music Group’s efforts to block AI companies from accessing its copyrighted work.

“This is the final straw AI,” Drake wrote.

UMG urged Apple Music, Spotify and other streaming platforms to act in response to the proliferation of AI-generated music. AI companies used copyrighted songs to train bots, allowing users to create faux tracks.

UMG told the Financial Times, “We have become aware that certain AI systems might have been trained on copyrighted content without obtaining the required consents from, or paying compensation to, the rightsholders who own or produce the content.”

Teyana Taylor Shuns “Nepo Baby” Label; Says Her Career Was Hard Earned

Teyana Taylor is adamant she isn’t a “nepo baby.”

During a chat with Jeremy O. Harris for the latest issue of https://www.interviewmagazine.com/film/teyana-taylor-is-mother Interview magazine, the actress/singer was asked to weigh in on the debate over the term, which typically refers to the children of celebrities who have succeeded in pursuing Hollywood careers.

“I’ve seen all these tweets like, ‘That’s crazy. I never knew Teyana was a nepo baby,’ and I’m like, ‘Tell me who my celebrity parents are?'” she replied, referring to her mother Nikki Taylor, who works in the fashion industry. “Let’s be clear. My mom was literally a workaholic, she worked her ass off to make sure I had everything that I needed.”

And as for how she landed an appearance on the MTV reality show “My Super Sweet 16” in 2007, Teyana explained that the gig was orchestrated by Pharrell Williams and her team at the time.

“By the time we got to my sweet 16, I had just signed my first contract with Star Trak, Pharrell Williams’s label, and me, my mom and Pharrell, and the label, we came together,” the 32-year-old continued. “That was from her hard-earned money and my hard-earned money from getting my record deal. I was just this little Harlem girl, and we sat down and watched ‘Sweet 16,’ and I knew I wanted to set the tone. I’m from New York. I don’t want no car. I want a bike. You feel me?”

Bodybuilder NDO Champ discussed his upcoming bout with boxer Roy Jones Jr. in an interview with AllHipHop’s Chuck Creekmur.

NDO Champ expressed his excitement for the celebrity boxing match, mentioning how “hungry” he is to face a former world champion. He praised his 54-year-old opponent ahead of their press conference, which is scheduled to take place in Newark, New Jersey on April 22.

“[Jones is] a very intelligent fighter,” he told AllHipHop. “He’s very smart. He’s one of the best pound-for-pound fighters alive. As a professional athlete, I already know it takes hard work and dedication to go into that fight.”

Tiwa Savage Almost Kidnapped By Low Down Dirty Thugs But Cops Bust The Suspects

The Nigeria Police Force Criminal Investigation Department in Lagos has reportedly arrested multiple suspects in the alleged attempted kidnapping of Tiwa Savage. According to The Guardian, the department’s spokesperson, CSP Oluniyi Ogundeyi, confirmed the arrests to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

”Yes, we have some suspects,” Ogundeyi said. “They are in our custody. They are about four.”

EXCLUSIVE: Nipsey Hussle & Estate Beat $5M Lawsuit Filed By Singer

A $5 million lawsuit against the estate of late rapper Nipsey Hussle has been dismissed by a judge, according to court documents obtained by AllHipHop.com.

The suit was filed by Los Angeles-based singer Tasleema Yasin, who claimed to be an uncredited co-author on Hussle’s single “Hussle & Motivate.”

Yasin previously worked with Nipsey Hussle on several tracks before his tragic death in 2019.

In her lawsuit, Yasin claimed that she wrote a “prominent vocal phrase” in the “Victory Lap” song and contributed to the song’s chorus and countermelody.

She initially sought an unspecified amount of money, pending accounting details from the rapper’s label.

According to court documents, an initial settlement offer of $100,000 was made to Yasin, along with a 10% share of the masters’ royalties from the song and three other tracks.

However, Yasin alleged that the terms of the agreement were not honored, prompting her to seek damages of at least $7.5 million. She later offered to settle for $5 million.

The judge issued an order requiring Yasin to serve the summons and complaint within 90 days after filing the complaint.

However, the court found that Yasin had not diligently prosecuted the action and failed to respond to the order to show cause in writing by a specified deadline of April 4, 2023.

As a result, the judge dismissed the case on the grounds of lack of prosecution earlier this week.

This outcome brings a close to the legal battle surrounding Nipsey Hussle’s estate and provides some closure for the late rapper’s family and fans.

EXCLUSIVE: Ice T’s Says Giving Game on New Podcast Is “Retribution” For Life of Crime

Recently Ice-T spoke with AllHipHop Senior Correspondent Jake Crates about his new iHeartRadio podcast “Ice-T’s Daily Game.”

Speaking with the GRAMMY Award-winning artist and acclaimed actor, AllHipHop learned about the motivations behind Ice-T’s new podcast and the lasting impact that the cultural icon looks to have on this world.

“I always tell people I’ve been on both sides of the gun. I’ve been a bad person. When I was coming up, I’m a light-skinned dude named Tracy growing up in gang-infested South Central Los Angeles. So I said, ‘I have to be predator vs prey.’ I was on some negative sh*t for a lot of my life,” Ice-T said.

“I was like, damn man, I was an orphan, I’m dealt this bad hand. I ain’t got that, f### everybody. By taking that energy, I was able to attract cats like myself and survive, so to speak. But that never was me. That was what I had (to do) and the armor I had to put on to survive LA by myself.”

Packaged in short five-minute episodes, Ice-T is giving back with quick advice that’s easily relatable no matter who is listening.

Undoubtedly achieving OG status in the game of rap and life, Ice-T’s perspective is distinctively fresh as he recounts his personal experiences and gives game in episodes each weekday.

“As you evolve and you make it to another side of life, where now you’re legit, you ain’t carrying guns, you not in that world no more, you realize how beautiful it is not to have that dark cloud over you. When you’re doing negative stuff, you are living under a dark cloud,” Ice-T recalled.

“You don’t know, you don’t know if they coming to see you. You got people saying, ‘On-site, we finna take off on you.’ You’re living, you’re sleeping – you’re in a weird warp. You hustling, you don’t know if the feds is in the rearview, you don’t know what the f###. Once that’s over, and you ain’t got no beef, and you not really trippin’ about that, it’s like a whole new world. It’s like, damn, the underworld is dark and sinister. Now I’m over here in this legit world.”

In each episode of his show, Daily Game, Ice unveils one carefully chosen quote or words of wisdom which has been carefully researched by his team. Describing the episodes as “maybe retribution” these days, Ice-T has no tolerance for “negative s###.”

“Giving game is like giving back, it’s like I’m gonna give you back some game so that maybe I can help you. It’s a way of… maybe its retribution, it’s like I done been bad, but now I’m trying to be good, you know?  So I got no bad intentions for nobody. I don’t talk about negative s###. If you bring up some negative s###, I shut it down. I don’t hang around n##### that’s like, ‘We should do this or that.’ Because I grew up around those kinds of do-low m############ and it’s like, ‘Yo that’s not a part of me anymore, ever.’”

E-40 Cites “Racial Bias” After He’s Kicked Out Of Kings Vs. Warriors Game

E-40 is not just a Bay Area rap legend, he’s also a dedicated basketball fan. On Saturday (April 15), Forty Water attended the Golden State Warriors vs. Sacramento Kings game at Golden 1 Center in Sac Town. In a video making the rounds online, E-40 appears to engage in some kind of argument with several other people in the crowd. He’s ultimately ejected from the game midway through the fourth quarter.

E-40 later addressed the incident on social media and blamed racial bias for his removal.

“On Saturday night, I was subjected to disrespectful heckling over the course of the Warriors-King game in Sacramento. During the fourth quarter, I finally turned around and addressed one heckler in an assertive but polite manner. Yet, shortly thereafter, Kings’ security approached me, assumed that I instigated the encounter and proceeded to kick me out of the arena. Unfortunately, it was yet another reminder that—despite my success and accolades as a musician and entrepreneur—racial bias remains prevalent.

“Security saw a disagreement between a Black man and a white woman and immediately assumed that I was at fault. I’ve attended countless NBA games throughout my lifetime and have always prided myself in my professionalism, so this experience has been jarring. I was absolutely humiliated by the Kings’ security team and I’m calling on the franchise to investigate the appalling conduct that transpired.”

E-40 has courtside seats at Golden State’s Chase Center next to the Warriors bench. He’s even joined the Warriors’ contingent when it visited the White House earlier this year to celebrate 2022’s NBA championship. Watch the clip above.

Saweetie Is Looking To Play A Villain In A Blockbuster Movie

Saweetie hopes to appear in more film and TV projects in the future.

After bursting onto the music scene in 2017, the Best Friend hitmaker wasted no time booking roles on TV shows, with appearances on “Grown-ish,” “Bel-Air,” and “Cooking with Paris” already under her belt.

Yet, she has a much bigger goal for her acting career – she wants to play a villain in the DC superhero movies.

“I can see myself doing more TV and film projects. I definitely want to be a supervillain in the DC movies,” she told Metro.co.uk. “I dressed up as Harley Quinn, I believe Mystique is Marvel, but I also dressed up as Mystique – I love getting into character and dressing up. I love ‘Fast and Furious.'”

Saweetie, real name Diamonté Harper, would also like to return to the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” reimagining after playing a version of herself in the second season.

“It was so cool, the cast were so inviting and welcoming. I would love to come back and shoot another episode with them,” she added.

Despite being on the music scene for over five years, Saweetie has yet to release her debut album.

However, she assured the outlet that it would drop before the end of the year, noting that she was “working” on the record and “really focused on (her) craft” right now.

Da Brat Delivers Birthday Pregnancy Update: “49! LOOK AT GOD!”

Da Brat announced she and her spouse, Judy Harris-Dupart, were expecting their first child in February. As the So So Def alum celebrated her 49th birthday on Friday (April 14), she provided an update on her pregnancy. Sharing a pair of Instagram photos of herself cradling her growing belly, Da Brat marveled at her current position in life.

“49!” she began. “LOOK AT GOD! I am so GRATEFUL to GOD for allowing me to see another year. I can do ALL THINGS! I was born to be a trendsetter, beat odds, motivate and inspire others, break barriers and set records. I have been BLESSED through my mistakes and set backs to have learned how to just pause and appreciate my BEAURTIFUL journey and marvel at my life through the miraculous wonders of the LORD. I could write a book about it.

“Today I celebrate ME. My BEAURTIFUL @darealbbjudy made me post and handed me MY phone to write my caption. SHE MAKES SURE I GETS MY FLOWERS.”

The couple made the big reveal with a pregnancy photo shoot published by People. Harris-Dupart, the CEO of Kaleidoscope Hair Products, was in the middle of launching a new line inspired by Da Brat and her iconic braids when they started toying with the idea of having a child.

“It’s been quite a journey,” Da Brat admitted. “There’s a lot of stuff we learned about women over the age of 40.” Harris-Dupart added, “It started as a joke. We were like, ‘We’re extending our family!’ But then we got a huge response. It was like, ‘Oh my God do we want to actually have kids, and if we do, girl, we better hurry up!'”

While Harris-Dupart is already a mother of three, Da Brat had yet to experience motherhood. She explained, “I never thought I was going to have kids. I just thought it wasn’t in the cards for me. I’ve had a great career, a full life. I felt like, because I didn’t get pregnant earlier on, then it just wasn’t going to happen for me.”

Once she got together with Harris-Dupart, she began to reconsider. “I started looking at life so differently,” she said. “I was like, I want a little me with you. Something special from the both of us that we can share and raise and love unconditionally.”

Da Brat has been relatively open about her journey. Earlier this week, she shared a video of her bare belly and the baby moving around inside.

“Guess who’s feeling the baby’s movements now,” Harris-Dupart wrote in the caption. “It’s the SWEETEST little things to watch. My wife is so deserving of all this excitement, love and blessings. Baby Boy Harris-Dupart is playing games with his mommy.”

Black Thought’s New Album With El Michels Affair Sparks More “G.O.A.T.” Talk

Black Thought dropped a new collaborative album with instrumental outfit El Michels Affair on Friday (April 14). Titled Glorious Game, the 12-track collection quickly became a trending Twitter topic due to the sheer rhyming talent of The Roots’ MC.

As one person pointed out, “Black Thought is 30 years in still rapping at the highest level possible.” Similar sentiments continued to trickle in well into Saturday (April 15). “I legit got tears in my eyes. This man’s mind is a marvel,” a fan wrote, while another said, “There are some very small (and some glaring) word and rhyme placements on the new Black Thought that are so refreshing to hear and remind you why he’s a master of his craft.”

Aside from Black Thought’s work with The Roots—which began with 1993’s Organix, the Philly native has forged a fruitful solo career. The fourth installment of his Streams of Thought series is expected to arrive later this year. Features include Rick Ross, J.I.D, Redman, Fabolous, Big K.R.I.T., Curren$y, Pharoahe Monch and Tobe Nwigwe. Black Thought recently teased the first single “Blaaaaaack!” featuring Mos Def.

Black Thought is also juggling his gig with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Roots serve as Fallon’s house band every weekday. Last month, they were joined by the surviving members of De La Soul—Posdnuos and Maseo—for a performance of “Stakes Is High.” It marked De La Soul’s first live television appearance since Trugoy The Dove’s death in February. Watch it here and check out Glorious Game below.

EXCLUSIVE: DJ Jazzy Jeff Explains Why He Initially Said “No” To “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”

Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff starred in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air from 1990 to 1996. The beloved sitcom was watched by millions of people every week and made Smith a bona fide star. Jazzy Jeff, who played Smith’s best friend “Jazz,” was initially resistant to the idea. By this time, the Philly natives has already catapulted to fame as DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. The duo’s sophomore album, 1988’s He’s The DJ, I’m Rapper, had gone platinum, earning them the first rap Grammy nomination in Recording Academy history. But speaking to AllHipHop, DJ Jazzy Jeff remembers he wasn’t all that “jazzed” about the television show.

“At first, I said no,” Jazzy Jeff says. “I wasn’t terrified. I wasn’t excited. I just didn’t have any desire. It’s really a life lesson. I learned it is possible to do more than one thing. I think I was so hell bent on my music that I never looked at, ‘Yeah, I could do this too.’ I never thought it could potentially help my music like it did. I felt like when I was asked to do the TV show, the way it came into my head was like, ‘You’re telling me to stop doing music and go do this?”’ That was my reason for saying no.”

But Smith was determined to win Jazzy Jeff over. He continued prodding him and was ultimately able to convince him to take the role.

“Ironically, at that point in time, everybody in the industry thought you could only do one thing,” he continues. “Will was the first rapper/actor. People criticized him when he first started acting and not because of his work. They criticized him because they didn’t think that you could do more than one thing. Now you look up and it’s LL COOL J, Ice-T, Queen Latifah and Ice Cube.

“But in the beginning, I don’t think I was the only one that approached it the way I did. So I said I wasn’t interested. But Will was a very good salesman. He sold me on the fact that they wanted me to do three episodes. And he said, ‘Listen, man, if you do one and you love it, you got two more to look forward to. And if you hate it, you only got two to do.’ So I was like, ‘OK.’ And I ended up doing nine episodes the first season.”

Jazzy Jeff, always in a pair of sunglasses, joined the cast alongside James Avery (Phillip Banks), Janet Hubert (Aunt Viv), Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton Banks), Karyn Parsons (Hilary Banks), Tatyana M. Ali (Ashley Banks) and Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey the Butler).

“I wasn’t really hooked [on acting], but I think having fun was part of it,” he says/ “I never took myself too serious. I wasn’t out there trying to act. I was just like give me some lines, I’m gonna read them and people will laugh.”

Jazzy Jeff admits the sunglasses were there for his own protection—not because he was trying to look “cool.” He explains, “That that was fear. That was I didn’t want someone to see my eyes. Because if you saw my eyes, my eyes might have been like this [bugged out]. The beauty of it is there may have been 70 people on set at the most. I’m coming off a stage with 30,000 people. So 70 people was nothing to me because you don’t think about the millions who are gonna see it? If I did, it would have definitely been different.”

The last episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air aired on May 20, 1996, but the reruns haven’t stopped. A reunion special debuted on HBO Max in November 2020 and a dramatic reimagining of the series, Bel-Air, arrived on Peacock in February 2022.

Young Dolph Suspect Won’t Be Getting Visits From Family Or Friends Any Time Soon Over Rap Song Released From Prison

Young Dolph, a renowned rapper, was tragically murdered, and the prime suspect in the case, Justin Johnson, has faced legal repercussions ever since.

Recently, WREG reported that Johnson, aka Straight Drop, was denied the reinstatement of phone and visitation privileges during a court hearing over a rap song he released from jail.

The suspension of Johnson’s privileges occurred after he uploaded a song on YouTube in November of 2022.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office conducted an internal investigation in response to Johnson’s release of a song from jail called “No Statements,” addressing Young Dolph’s death.

The song led to the limitation of Johnson’s visitation rights due to safety concerns.

Judge Lee Coffee ultimately decided to maintain Johnson’s current restrictions despite the protests of Johnson’s lawyer Luke Evans.

Evans argued that Johnson’s rights were being violated, but Judge Coffee was not hearing it.

It is not Johnson’s first attempt to promote his rap career after Young Dolph’s murder.

Rather than surrendering upon being initially charged, Johnson released a music video titled “Track Hawk” in January while still on the run.

Young Dolph was 36-year’s-old when he was fatally shot outside Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies, a bakery in Memphis, Tennessee.

Multiple suspects were identified and arrested in connection with the violent shooting.

Justin Johnson, a.k.a. “Straight Drop,” was the first suspect identified in the case. He is charged with first-degree murder and additional theft charges, being a convicted felon possessing a firearm, and employing a firearm with intent to commit a felony.

Cornelius Smith was the second suspect implicated in the murder of Young Dolph. Like Johnson, Smith is charged with first-degree murder, as well as employment of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony and being a felon in possession of a handgun.

Shundale Barnett was arrested in connection with the case after an extensive manhunt. Law enforcement officials identified Barnett as a suspect due to his alleged involvement in helping Johnson remain on the lam in the weeks after the murder.

Barnett is charged with criminal attempt to commit first-degree murder and accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.

Johnson is scheduled to appear in court again on June 9.

Celebrities such as LL Cool J, Jim Jones, and others jumped in the comments to salute the honor.

Just days ago, Offset said he would not be able to release new music after Takeoff’s death.

AllHipHop.com reported, on Saturday (April 1), Offset tweeted, “Never thought life be this f##### up. LLTake. I can’t drop music also.”

Adding, “Black ppl holding black ppl back.” One can only assume he’s talking about Quality Control Music. In August 2022, Offset sued QC for allegedly claiming ownership of his recent solo releases

Per Variety, based on a settlement agreement from January 2021, “Offset and Quality Control terminated the Production Agreement with respect to Offset’s solo recording services, and Offset became the sole owner of all rights, title and interest in and to his services as a solo recording artist, entertainer and songwriter.”

A spokesperson for Quality Control replied, “Not only are the accusations in this lawsuit false, they are totally detached from realty. Offset remains a part of QC.”
