Disney’s $3.5 Billion Boycott: The Quiet Revolution Against Trump Era Retaliation

America has always had a funny way of testing its freedoms. The latest example? Disney. Yes, Mickey Mouse and lightsabers are suddenly sitting at the crossroads of politics, free speech, and resistance. It started with Jimmy Kimmel. Or maybe I should say it boiled over with Jimmy Kimmel.

The late night host’s removal by ABC, a property of the Walt Disney Company, widely seen as a punishment for his political comedy. For many, it was the last straw in a pattern of the Trump administration weaponizing power against critics. People expected outrage on social media, maybe a few fiery op-eds. What they didn’t expect was the birth of a quiet, economic rebellion.

The Money Talks, Louder Than Tweets

Disney has lost about $3.5 billion in market value in just one week. Why? Because people started boycotting its products, streaming services (Disney Plus, Hulu and ESPN, among others), and even theme parks. That’s not a petition or a trending hashtag. That’s real money walking out the door. For perspectively, The Walt Disney Company’s generated $91.4 billion for its fiscal year in 2024

No matter how it seems, this moment is different. Folks might not be ready to chain themselves to barricades or burn their careers for a revolution that has no safety net. But refusing to swipe a credit card? Canceling Disney+? That’s doable. And maybe more effective. It’s nonviolent, it’s collective, and it hits where it hurts most, the balance sheet.

Disney as the Symbol

If you’re wondering, “Why Disney?” you’re not alone. But think about it. Disney isn’t just a company. It’s a cultural monolith. It’s movies, merch, childhood memories, and vacations rolled into one. For decades, we tolerated its controversies and contradictions. We’ve bypassed allegations about its founder’s politics to its monopolistic grip on entertainment.

Now, the company’s sheer size makes it the perfect target. People I’ve spoken with believe Disney parks may soon become the focal point of this boycott. It’s not just economic impact, it’s symbolic. And if it holds up, it will be ripple broadly.

This Isn’t Hollywood — It’s Real Life

Of course, this doesn’t look like a Hollywood revolution. Nobody’s storming Death Stars or riding into battle with lightsabers. But it’s a rebellion nonetheless. It’s a grassroots attempt to test whether ordinary people still have leverage in a country where corporations and politicians seem untouchable.

We’re not debating Jimmy Kimmel’s monologues here or if he is funny or not. We’re testing the First Amendment. We’re asking whether criticism, comedy, and political dissent can exist without political or corporate retaliation. And the battlefield currently, strangely enough, is Disney.

The Biggest Question

The real question is how long this will last. The talk is that they may bring Kimmel back. Will consumers stay the course? Or will the pull of Marvel movies and base desires win? Boycotts are powerful, but they’re also hard to sustain. Sacrifice is easy to preach and tougher to live, even if it is frivolous an minor.

Still, something feels different this time. Maybe because it’s personal. Maybe because, for once, people feel like they have a tool that doesn’t require martyrdom. Or maybe because folks are realizing that when you take away choice, you leave people no option but to resist. For some reason, the cries are heard now.

Steady and undeniable – and bloodless – is the kind of revolution America needs right now.

JT Suggests Cardi B Has Horrible Hygiene In Response To “Am I The Drama?” Diss

Cardi B reignited her long-running feud with JT on her latest album, Am I the Drama?, taking direct aim at the City Girls rapper on the track “Magnet” and throwing jabs at Lil Uzi Vert in the process.

It didn’t take long for JT to fire back though. In a since-deleted tweet, JT clowned Cardi and insinuated she has bad hygiene.

“Guitar body ho wasn’t talking about me,” she wrote. “Better be quiet before I tell them the real tea. B#### PH balance will fry a whole fish. YUCK. With that one flow lol.”

Cardi B snapped on JT in the second verse of the song “Magnet,” rapping, “All that dick ridin’, still ain’t get no feature-ass b####/She just mad she got a n#### she be sharin’ bags with/My n#### cheat, but I don’t stick no d##### in his ass, b####/You look a hot mess, easily impressed-ass b####/You never gave looks, you started getting dressed-ass b####/Ricky O the only fashion house you know-ass b####/You should’ve asked me, would’ve took you to the show, lil’ b####.”

The tension between the two artists dates back to 2022, shortly after the release of “Tomorrow 2” and the unraveling of City Girls. The friction has simmered online and in interviews, but Cardi’s new album appears to pour gasoline on the fire.

Cardi also used the album rollout to address Joe Budden, who questioned whether she writes her own lyrics. In response, she posted a behind-the-scenes video from July 2024 showing her crafting the verse for “Magnet.” Alongside the clip, she tweeted, “Don’t give me backhanded 10’s cuz I’ll always be able to prove my s###.”

Cardi B didn’t stop with JT. On the track “Pretty & Petty,” she took aim at BIA, continuing a streak of lyrical call-outs that have become a hallmark of her latest project.

Industry insiders project Am I the Drama? to debut with approximately 95,000 to 105,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, according to early estimates from HITS Daily Double. That would mark one of the strongest opening weeks for a female rapper in 2025.

Gavin Newsom Trolls MAGA Rapper Kid Rock With Fake Ban From California

Gavin Newsom used his official press office account on X to mock Kid Rock with a fake performance ban in California, blaming the rapper’s “horrific” music.

The California governor’s post read in all caps: “BECAUSE OF HIS HORRIFIC MUSIC, CALIFORNIA WILL INDEFINITELY SUSPEND KID ROCK FROM PERFORMING IN THE GOLDEN STATE. YOU’RE WELCOME!”

The statement wasn’t a real policy or legal action. Instead, it was a satirical jab aimed at the MAGA-aligned rapper’s politics and public image, continuing a social media feud that began weeks earlier.

Over the last few months, Newsom’s office has mocked Kid Rock’s popularity and even joked about revoking his California residency. One post read that Kid Rock was “a threat to California’s eardrums” and suggested he “stay in Michigan if they still want him.”

In August, the governor’s social media account posted Trump-style all-caps rants, including “I HATE KID ROCK!!!” and a digitally altered image of Kid Rock endorsing Newsom, styled like a mock campaign poster.

The trolling is a political counterpunch that mimics Trump’s approach to online insults. Trump has previously targeted celebrities like Taylor Swift with a similar tone and tactics.

Kid Rock, who has been vocal in his support of Trump and conservative causes, fired back with crude remarks. He referred to Newsom as “Gavin Newscum” and posted, “The only support Gavin Newscum will ever get out of me is from DEEZ NUTZ.”

The back-and-forth has played out entirely online, with no real consequences beyond social media engagement. As of the time of Newsom’s latest post, Kid Rock had not publicly addressed the fake suspension.

SIGNS: Entire Police Department Quits After Mayor Fires Historic Black Woman Police Chief

Martha Caradine Demoted As Ackerman’s First African American Woman Police Chief Sparks Echoes Of A Wider Pattern

Martha Caradine made history in September 2024 when she became the first African American woman to lead the Ackerman, Mississippi police force, rising from assistant chief . But in September 2025, she was demoted, and several officers resigned in protest. According to reports, there was one cop left on staff.

That move doesn’t just stand alone. It fits into a disturbing trend: Black women being pushed to the margins across federal and local jobs as the second Trump administration ramps up mass firings, cuts, rollbacks of DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) efforts, and layoffs.

Since Trump re-entered the Oval Office, over 300,000 Black women have left or been forced out of the workforce. These insidious movies include layoffs, budget cuts or feeling unsafe and unsupported. It is all real and it has all happened since The Donald moved into that big, white house.

In August 2025, the unemployment rate for Black women jumped to 7.5 percent, up from 5.4 percent in January. This marked a rapid unraveling of job security for the nations most educated and qualified group.

Caradine’s story sits nicely inside this ongoing turmoil. Her demotion isn’t just about one town. It reflects a system-wide issue where Black women who reach high level leadership roles seem especially vulnerable. Based on their qualifications, talent and even personalities they deserve none of this.

Her marriage to Lawrence Caradine, chief of police in nearby Eupora, adds another layer. This is in the home – not remote for her family. They have not commented, but they do have an active FB page where they bring to light those that support them.

Ackerman’s new mayor, who happens to be a white woman, has caused outrage, but she stands on her decision. But people are awake, watching and the support of the resigning police force shows true conviction. Martha Caradine’s demotion may seem local, but it resonates nationally. Black women’s job exits are trending upward, faster than most other groups. This happens despite their qualifications and education. This is the new battleground.

Caradine’s removal shows how fast “firsts” can be celebrated for a moment, but then systemically abandoned. Ackerman won’t be the only town watching this pattern. We’ll all be watching.

Cam’ron Roasts Damon Dash After REVOLT CEO Confirms He’s Lying About Chairman Role

Cam’ron wasted no time roasting Hip-Hop mogul Damon Dash after REVOLT CEO Detavio Samuels denied he was acting chairman as Dash had previously claimed.

In a statement written to the REVOLT team, obtained by The Shade Room, Samuels wrote, “Team, I know some of you might’ve caught Dame Dash’s interview on The Breakfast Club. To set the record straight: Dame Dash is a hip-hop pioneer with a proven track record as a creator.

“Yes, we’ve been in conversations about potential partnerships—things like licensing his shows and films to REVOLT. But there is no signed deal.”

He added, “He is not the chairman of our company. There is no acquisition path on the table. The quote from me in VIBE is completely fabricated. I never said any of that.”

The quote Samuels is referring to reads, “As the CEO of a media company dedicated to Hip Hop culture and the diverse creators and consumers who drive it, it made sense to do business with Dame.”

Cam’ron took the opportunity to hit below the belt with a joke about Dash’s teeth—or rather lack of.

“You can’t say he’s lying through his teeth, he ain’t got none,” he wrote in the Instagram comment section. “Lying thur ya gums his treacherous lol.”

Dash quickly refuted Samuels’ account and posted an Instagram post with his “receipts.” As he noted in the caption, “I hate to bring out receipts but @detavio give me a call, I never would’ve took the deal if there wasn’t a pathway to ownership.”

Dash included a text to Samuels in which he asks, “Also is there still a pathway to ownership,” and Samuels appeared to say “yes.”

Dash claimed he would serve as the network chairman of REVOLT TV for one month during an interview with The Breakfast Club on Tuesday (September 16). The 54-year-old Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder said. he was planning to hold the position for one month, during which REVOLT will simulcast 25 episodes of his podcast, Bosses Take Losses, and stream a large portion of his media catalog.

Dash co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records in 1994 alongside JAY-Z and Kareem “Biggs” Burke, helping to launch the careers of artists such as Freeway, Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, Kanye West and Cam’ron.

REVOLT, meanwhile, was launched in 2013 by Diddy, who stepped down as chairman in November 2023 amid ongoing legal issues related to his RICO scandal. The network has since shifted to an employee-owned model.

Sidney “Omen” Brown, Grammy-Winning Producer For Beyoncé, Drake & Lil Wayne, Dead At 49

Sidney Brown, the Grammy Award-winning producer known as Omen, has died. He was 49.

Details of his passing have not been made public, but his friends and peers have expressed their dismay and sorrow over his death.

A Harlem native, Omen carved out a reputation as one of the most versatile and sought-after producers of his generation. His work spanned Hip-Hop and R&B, touching projects from industry giants such as Drake, Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Fabolous, Action Bronson, Redman and Mýa.

Ethyl’s a popular venue in Harlem where Omen would DJ made a public post expressing their sadness as a staff.

“We are beyond [heartbroken],” the venue wrote on Facebook. “Omen has been a major part of what made Ethyl’s beat from the very beginning. Sidney ‘Omen’ Brown was not only a DJ who could get our Dance floor jumping, but he was also a Grammy Award Winning Producer who worked with Beyonce, Lil’ Wayne and …helped write and produce (‘Tell It Like It Is’) for Ludacris!”

Early Career

Born August 21, 1976, Brown began making noise in the late 1990s and early 2000s when his beats appeared on early Roc-A-Fella Records releases. He produced “Everybody” on Memphis Bleek’s Coming of Age and “No 1 Can Compare” on Amil’s debut All Money Is Legal.

By the early 2000s, Omen’s production was in steady demand. He contributed “Change You or Change Me” and “Why Wouldn’t I” to Fabolous’ Street Dreams and crafted “Taste This” for Mýa’s Moodring. His sound also reached Keith Murray’s He’s Keith Murray with “Swagga Back.” In 2002, Omen scored the Roc-A-Fella/Universal Pictures comedy Paper Soldiers, helping set the tone for the Roc’s cinematic foray.

Recording Academy Recognition

Omen’s breakthrough came in 2006 when Ludacris tapped him for “Tell It Like It Is,” a standout on the rapper’s double album Release Therapy. That project won the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, securing Omen his first Grammy. Around the same time, he landed another placement with Redman on “Soopaman Luva 6” featuring Hurricane G.

Mainstream Impact

A pivotal career shift happened when Omen connected with Noah “40” Shebib. Through 40, he was introduced to a then-rising star Drake. Omen co-produced “Shut It Down” featuring The-Dream on Drake’s 2010 debut album Thank Me Later.

That same period, Omen collaborated with 40 on Lil Wayne’s “I’m Single.” The track first surfaced on Wayne’s No Ceilings mixtape before being re-released on I Am Not a Human Being, which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The song also received an MTV2 video premiere in 2010, further expanding Omen’s mainstream visibility.

Beyond those high-profile placements, Omen’s beats touched artists across multiple generations and styles, from underground mainstays like Immortal Technique to R&B royalty like Beyoncé. His ability to move fluidly between the streets and the charts made him a trusted collaborator in both worlds.

Legacy

Across nearly three decades, Omen left an indelible mark on Hip-Hop and R&B. Known for his humility and work ethic, he built a catalog that reflected both soul and street edge, shaping the sound of an era while helping deliver some of the genre’s most memorable records. He was a beloved son of Harlem that touched lives, including AllHipHop.

Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.

Jon B On 2Pac’s Final Verse, Michael Jackson’s Call, Nas’ Pull-Up & 30 Years Of Classic R&B

Jon B is a rarity: a white artist in R&B who never compromised his craft for pop crossover. He stepped away from album-making for more than a decade to prioritize family, and now, returning to a transformed music landscape, he rises like a phoenix. Born Jonathan David Buck, Jon B is back with Waiting on You, a set steeped in classic soul. He brings along vibrant collaborators—Rick Ross, Tank, and Alex Isley—but the album, start to finish, is unmistakably Jon B.

AllHipHop sat down with the R&B mainstay at WonWorld Studios for a conversation that feels both like a reunion and a reset. Fresh off the release of his album Waiting on You, Jon is in classic form—writer, producer, vocalist—reaffirming the warm, soul-first sound that made Bonafide a touchstone in 1995 and still packs venues today.

In this candid talk, the singer revisits a pivotal era when Hip-Hop and R&B learned to share the same room, revealing how his studio session with Tupac Shakur, which turned out to be ‘Pac’s final recorded verse, helped push the line authentically. He salutes mentors and peers (Babyface, Nas, Tank, Donell Jones, Rick Ross) and spotlights rising collaborator Alex Isley, whose tone he calls timeless.

Beyond credits, Jon centers authenticity. He was reared in a classical music household with a lifetime steeped in Black music culture as well as an 18-year marriage that grounds the star between sold-out weekends and school-day routines. Jon B makes a powerful case for R&B that grows up without growing dull. Watch the full interview below or some of the highlights in the edited transcript.

Tupac: The Studio, The Blessing, The Last Verse

Jon B: “Hip-hop and R&B weren’t really fused yet. We didn’t give people a choice…‘take it or leave it.’ Tupac being on the record changed everybody’s mind.”

In the lab with Pac: “We were in the studio two weeks before he went to Vegas, three or four hours in and we were already halfway done. As tough as his persona was, Pac was the nicest, most diligent worker. He was cutting another song in the next room while working on mine.”

Afeni’s green light: “I was reluctant to put it out after he died, didn’t want to exploit my man. Afeni Shakur told me, ‘My son loved that song. He wanted it to come out.’ That’s what made me release it.”

Creative push: “I’d drift from the melody and Pac would lock me in, ‘Nah, it goes like this…’ He coached and produced me too.”

Babyface & The 18-Year-Old Major-Label Run

Jon B: “Babyface was and is a mentor—vocally and musically. Signing to Yab Yum Entertainment with Tracy Edmonds opened the door to Epic Records. I was 18 walking into Sony like, ‘Whoa’…publishing deal, record deal, Learjet flights to New York.”

Michael Jackson: Remix + Phone Call

Jon B: “I remixed ‘You Are Not Alone’—they didn’t ask many people. Michael called the studio: ‘I love it—it’s different from the original and I like it.’ Later I shook his hand at the BRITs. He’s the goat of goats—my first favorite artist.”

Nas Pulled Up to the House: “Finer Things”

Jon B: “Nas came to my spot—we’re playing pool, chilling. I play him the beat. He goes, ‘That’s some male Sade—smooth. I can rock over that.’
He wrote the song twice. First version was dope; he said, ‘I hate it, I’ll redo it.’ The second time, he asked for names, cars, visuals—turned it cinematic.”

“If I was your man, your knowledge would expand till we both are equal… There’s three things on my list… Number one, you got to be real… Number two, be who you are… Number three, give me peace and I’ll show you the world.” —Nas on “Finer Things” as recited by Jon B

Authenticity, Race, and Kicking Down Doors

Jon B: “Early on my complexion was a challenge, people made jokes. I didn’t see other artists in my lane getting that. I feel like I knocked down walls so the next man didn’t have to.
Before there was a Justin Timberlake or Robin Thicke, I’d already dropped three R&B albums with platinum singles. This isn’t dress-up. I’ve lived R&B and Hip-Hop since junior high.”

The New Album: Classic Soul with Heavy Friends

Jon B: “Waiting on You is me bringing it back to what you know me for. Guests include Rick Ross, Donell Jones, Tank, and Alex Isley (Ernie Isley’s daughter).

Tank pulled up to my studio. I asked which verse he wanted—he said, ‘You bodied those. Let me put a bridge on it.’ Then he gave it the bridge of life-piano, strings-uplifted the record.
Alex has this classic, Sade-esque subtlety but her own jazziness. She heard a joint and cut it exactly as I wrote it. That’s the best compliment to a songwriter.”

Marriage, Family, and the Business That Actually Works

Jon B: “I’ve been married 18 years—two daughters (18 and 11). My wife is my manager—clothes, videos, bookings. If it wasn’t for her, this might not be the same interview.
We keep it classy, no reality shows, but we did our first magazine cover together and hit Sherri and Tamron Hall to celebrate our 18th.
Real talk: a lot of rappers managed by their wives are the ones doing well. Corporations can take 20% and not really pull for you. Your wife will, because it’s her household too.”

30 Years In—And Still Selling Out

Jon B: “Thirty years since Bonafide—shows are sold out, people singing album cuts that weren’t singles. I’m going to sing my heart out until I can’t. The celebration continues.”

Philadelphia Eagles’ AJ Brown Dominated L.A. Rams After Hearing Old-School Hip-Hop Anthem

The Philadelphia Eagles looked dead in the water at halftime last Sunday in Los Angeles. The Rams had them on the ropes, dictating the pace and stacking up a commanding lead. Then the second half arrived, and everything changed.

The game flipped when the Eagles blocked a field goal and returned it for a touchdown, but the spark that fueled the comeback came from star wideout A.J. Brown. Already considered one of the NFL’s premier offensive threats, Brown turned into a one-man wrecking crew in the final two quarters, shredding the Rams’ secondary and helping Philly secure a 33-26 win.

While highlight reels replayed the blocked kick, something else unfolded behind the scenes that may have set Brown on fire. Sources inside the stadium say the DJ cued up Kurtis Blow’s old-school classic “AJ Scratch” during the game. For those who know it, the song’s hook chants “AJ” over a funky beat — catchy enough to get a crowd moving, and apparently enough to give No. 11 an extra jolt.

In postgame interviews, Brown didn’t directly name-check the track but hinted at the moment, grinning when asked about what fueled his surge. One source who was in the locker room told AllHipHop that Brown “pointed directly to that song” as a turning point in his energy. Whether coincidence or cosmic timing, the mix of football and Hip-Hop may have tilted the momentum toward Philadelphia.

Kurtis Blow, a pioneer from rap’s earliest days, probably never imagined his 1984 anthem echoing inside an NFL stadium and motivating one of the league’s top receivers. But Hip-Hop has always been about energy, defiance and winning! These are the same ingredients that powered Philly in the second half. By the way, KB did not return our message for a comment. He might be a NY Giants fan…or worse, LA Rams

Anyway…to casual fans, it may have looked like pure luck. But in truth, the comeback was built on grit, adjustments and mental toughness. Brown and the Eagles didn’t just ride fate. They forced it.

As Philadelphia keeps pushing through the season, this victory is likely to be remembered not only for the blocked field goal or Brown’s dominance, but also for a reminder of how culture and competition often collide in unexpected ways. One old-school jam, one fired-up receiver and one resilient team turned what looked like certain defeat into a West Coast heist.

For the record…our own Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur is the “source.” He was there and saw it all as it rolled out.

Hip-Hop Label EMPIRE Unleashes Boldest Move Yet With $6.5M Venue

Ghazi is betting big on immersive tech and hometown pride as his EMPIRE label invests in a $6.5 million entertainment venue set to reshape San Francisco’s Pier 70.

The independent Hip-Hop powerhouse is joining forces with Elevation Sky Park San Francisco to launch what’s being billed as the Bay Area’s first large-scale immersive entertainment space. The venue, slated to open this winter, will feature projection domes, a pyramid-shaped structure and capacity for over 2,000 attendees across multiple rooms.

“ESP SF represents exactly the kind of innovative, community-focused venture that embodies San Francisco’s creative spirit,” said Sean Ahearn, CEO of Elevation Sky Park. “Partnering with EMPIRE creates incredible opportunities to showcase how technology and artistry can transform communities while pioneering the future of immersive entertainment.”

The collaboration will fuse EMPIRE‘s global artist network with ESP SF’s tech-driven platform to deliver 360-degree concerts, live performances, film screenings and community arts initiatives. The venue will also serve as a hub for emerging artists, giving them access to industry resources and audiences they might not otherwise reach.

Ghazi, who founded EMPIRE in 2010, called the partnership a natural extension of the label’s roots. “

San Francisco has always been the heartbeat of EMPIRE, and Elevation Sky Park is the perfect stage to reimagine how music and culture come to life,” he said. “We’re excited to create experiences that are as bold and innovative as the city itself.”

The project is being developed through a public-private partnership involving Brookfield Properties and the Port of San Francisco. The venue’s location at Pier 70 places it in the heart of the city’s expanding arts and entertainment zone.

The team behind Wisdome LA, known for its immersive domes and multimedia installations in Los Angeles, is leading the buildout. Their experience in blending art and tech is expected to play a key role in bringing ESP SF’s vision to life.

The immersive entertainment sector is booming. According to Bloomberg, the global market is projected to reach $413 billion by 2030, driven by growing demand for interactive and tech-enhanced experiences.

Ghazi, a San Francisco native with Palestinian heritage, began producing music at the age of 14. Before launching EMPIRE, he worked as a DJ and audio engineer.

What started as a digital distribution service for Bay Area Hip-Hop artists has grown into one of the most influential independent labels in the industry, known for blending traditional music strategies with digital innovation.

The ESP SF partnership reflects EMPIRE’s continued evolution, expanding from music into experiential entertainment while staying grounded in its local community.

The venue’s programming will cater to a range of audiences, from casual music lovers to tech-savvy concertgoers.

ESP SF is scheduled to open in winter 2024, just in time to draw holiday crowds and position itself as a new cultural landmark in the Bay Area.

‘It Was A One-Score Game’: Denver Broncos Fan Who Lives In Nashville Walks By Nissan Stadium. Then He Calls Out Titans Fans

A Denver Broncos fan (@ryanandjimmy) living in Nashville is wondering why Tennessee Titans fans are leaving early.

“If you’ve ever been in Nashville, there’s a bridge that goes across from downtown,” he starts in a recent viral video. “It goes over [Cumberland River] and leads you to Nissan Stadium. And when you’re on the bridge, you can see a little bit into the stadium. It’s kind of a cool thing. I went on a run, and I timed it to be there in the fourth quarter.”

But he saw people leaving the game, and thought he had mistimed his job. “I was like, “Oh man, I must have really timed it wrong. Something must have happened. Whatever. That’s kind of a bummer.”

Why Were Tennessee Titans Fans Done For the Day?

Something must have happened, as in perhaps the Titans were getting blown out in their home opener versus the Los Angeles Rams this month. The Titans have been a terrible football team for the last few years. The club has gone 16-35 in the previous three seasons, coming into this year. Last season’s 3-14 record secured they’d receive the first overall pick in the 2025 draft, where they selected record-setting Miami quarterback Cameron Ward. They had already lost their season opener—incidentally to the Broncos, in a close game.

He continued on his way, “and I finally get to where I can see into the stadium, and I can see the score. I couldn’t believe what I saw. The Titans at the time were only down by 4 points with 12 minutes to go in the fourth quarter.”

From here, imagine it from the Titans’ standpoint, from inside the stadium. Rams QB Matthew Stafford has just thrown a touchdown to take a 20-16 lead at the end of the third quarter. As a Titans fan, against a Super Bowl contender, it might be time to get ahead of traffic. Thus, the mass exodus this TikToker witnessed on his run.

But he makes several strong points.

“You can’t even stay for a one-score game in the 4th quarter?” he asks. “Now, I know it ended up not being close, but still, you gotta stay for your team. Cheer for your team and root them on. That was disappointing. Titans fans, y’all gotta do better.”

He’s right; it wasn’t close. The Rams scored two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter and won going away, 33-19. As of this writing, the Titans are 0-3 on the season.

Why Are Titans Fans Bad?

Compared to teams with 100-year histories, the Titans only began in Nashville in the late ’90s. So the tradition isn’t particularly rich. Also, the team plays professional ball in the heart of college football country, so that may impact the city center’s collective enthusiasm because they’re still hungover from Saturday’s game.

And just look at the man who called out the fans in the first place: He’s a Denver Broncos fan but he lives in Nashville. He’s not alone.

According to CNBC, the city of Nashville added 100 residents a day in 2022. Many of them arrived with per-existing loyalties to other NFL teams. According to Google Trends, the Tennessee Titans have drawn comparable search volume as the Dallas Cowboys over the past 30 days… within the state of Tennessee.

Lastly, Nashville is a city known for its bachelorette parties and music; even the massively popular NFL has to compete for attention there too.

We’ve reached out to @ryanandjimmy for comment.

@ryanandjimmy Titans fans, yall should do better than that… #tennesseetitans #titans #nfl #nashville #nissanstadium ♬ original sound – Ryan & Jimmy

Wale’s New Series Tells Story Of Washington D.C.’s Most Violent Years

WASHINGTON, D.C. Wale is executive producing a television drama titled Silk that centers on the deadly legacy of Washington D.C. contract killer Wayne “Silk” Perry, whose name became synonymous with fear during the city’s most violent era.

The Grammy Award-nominated rapper and D.C. native is developing the series through Perry Industries, which controls the life rights of Perry, now known as Nkosi Shaka Zulu El. The show will explore Perry’s role as the enforcer for Harlem drug lord Alpo Martinez during the early 1990s, when D.C. led the nation in homicides.

A Look at D.C.’s Bloodiest Years

From 1989 to 1993, Perry operated as Martinez’s muscle, executing rivals and witnesses with a level of precision that earned him infamy in the streets. His violent run coincided with Washington’s descent into chaos, as the city earned the grim label of “murder capital” of the United States.

“That era in D.C. was internationally famous,” Wale told The Hollywood Reporter. “The Redskins were winning Super Bowls, the mayor was indicted by the FBI, Joe Biden passed the crime bill, and D.C. had 482 homicides — the highest in the country.”

The show will blend Perry’s criminal exploits with the political and cultural backdrop of the time, including the go-go music scene, the collapse of local drug empires, and the federal investigation of then-Mayor Marion Barry.

Behind the Scenes of ‘Silk’

Wale will produce the series alongside Kazz Laidlaw, his manager at EQT, and C. Edwards of Perry Industries. The project is currently in development, with no network or streaming platform yet attached.

“D.C. is more than just politics,” Wale said. “We have a rich, Black history that’s inspired audiences around the world, and it’s time to tell more stories that are based here.”

Laidlaw added, “This story is one of the last authentic stories in Black crime lore. People have seen slivers in movies like Paid in Full and read conjecture online, but beneath the surface is an entire world that hasn’t been seen before.”

Perry’s Criminal Legacy

Perry was convicted in 1994 for multiple murders tied to Martinez’s drug operation. His victims included drug dealer Garrett Terrell and Evelyn Carter, a witness scheduled to testify. He is currently serving five life sentences at ADX Florence, a federal supermax prison in Colorado.

Martinez’s cooperation with federal prosecutors helped secure Perry’s conviction. Martinez himself was shot and killed in 2021 in Harlem.

A New Chapter for Wale

Silk remains in early development with no release date or platform confirmed.

Trump Orders Troops To Portland After Ice Cube Bus Fire

President Trump authorized a federal troop deployment to Portland as investigators continue looking into a fire that scorched Ice Cube‘s tour bus just days after his performance in the city.

In a post on Truth Social Saturday, President Trump wrote, “I am directing Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to provide all necessary Troops to protect War ravaged Portland, and any of our ICE Facilities under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists. I am also authorizing Full Force, if necessary.”

The move comes as Portland Fire & Rescue continues its investigation into the blaze that broke out on the front passenger tire of Ice Cube’s chartered vehicle on Tuesday (September 22).

The 56-year-old Hip-Hop icon had just wrapped a show at the Moda Center the night before as part of his “Truth to Power” tour. Through a representative, Ice Cube said, “I’m not taking this incident as a personal attack. A coward like that would burn anybody’s property that was out there at the time.”

Trump’s decision to deploy troops echoes his 2020 response to protests in Portland, when federal agents were sent to the city during months of unrest.

That earlier deployment led to repeated clashes between demonstrators and federal officers, drawing national attention and criticism.

Portland Mayor Keith Wilson has pushed back against federal involvement. “I have not asked for – and do not need – federal intervention,” he said earlier this month.

On Thursday, Trump hinted at the upcoming action, telling reporters, “We’re going to get out there and we’re going to do a pretty big number on those people in Portland.” He referred to the targets as “professional agitators and anarchists.”

Trump has repeatedly described Portland in bleak terms, once calling it “like living in hell.” He also signed an order this week designating antifa as a domestic terrorist group.

Portland Fire & Rescue has not released any new updates on the tour bus fire as of Saturday.

EXCLUSIVE: Yella Beezy Demands Names Of Informants As Mo3 Murder Trial Nears

Yella Beezy is pressing Dallas prosecutors to reveal the identities of confidential informants and witnesses ahead of his capital murder trial tied to the 2020 killing of fellow rapper Mo3.

Attorneys for the rapper filed a series of motions requesting that the court compel the state to disclose key information.

Among the top demands: the names and addresses of all potential witnesses, including any informants, at least 20 days before the trial begins.

The defense also requested access to all evidence collected by law enforcement, including photographs, lab results, and physical items.

They are seeking anything that could either support Yella Beezy’s innocence or lessen the punishment if he’s convicted.

Yella Beezy’s legal team is also requesting all statements he made to the police and a pretrial hearing to determine whether those statements were made voluntarily. They want to ensure he wasn’t coerced or misled during questioning.

Another motion seeks to uncover whether any witnesses were offered deals or incentives in exchange for their cooperation.

The defense is pushing to exclude any mention of past unrelated incidents unless a judge rules them relevant.

Additionally, the attorneys request full access to materials used to refresh witnesses’ memories and complete records of all evidence gathered during the investigation.

Yella Beezy was indicted in March 2025 by a Dallas County grand jury for capital murder with remuneration, accused of orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot against Mo3.

Prosecutors allege Yella Beezy paid Kewon White to carry out the deadly shooting on Interstate 35E in Dallas on November 11, 2020. White and Devin Brown were arrested as co-defendants.

Investigators claim Yella Beezy withdrew $40,000 in cash before the incident and cite surveillance footage as part of the evidence linking him to the crime.

Yella Beezy was taken into custody on March 20, 2025, and initially held on a $2 million bond, which was later reduced to $750,000.

He is currently under house arrest with electronic monitoring.

If convicted, Yella Beezy could face the death penalty under Texas law. His trial is scheduled to begin on February 2, 2026.

What We Know About Quinta Brunson’s Finalized Divorce

LOS ANGELES — Quinta Brunson officially ended her marriage to Kevin Anik in Los Angeles after the pair finalized a private divorce agreement six months after her initial court filing.

The Abbott Elementary creator and Emmy-winning actress reached an uncontested divorce settlement with Anik, according to court records reviewed by People. The documents confirm their legal separation date as December 1, 2024, which had not been specified in earlier filings.

Agreement Reached Outside Courtroom

Brunson and Anik avoided a public legal battle by settling outside of court. The terms of their agreement remain sealed, but the filing confirms it includes spousal support provisions. Because the divorce was uncontested, no trial or further hearings were necessary.

The couple’s decision to keep the details confidential aligns with how they handled their relationship from the start—largely out of public view.

Marriage Timeline and Public Acknowledgment

Brunson and Anik got engaged in July 2020. While she rarely spoke about their relationship publicly, she acknowledged him during her 2022 Emmy Awards acceptance speech after winning Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series.

“I have to thank my mom, dad, brothers and sisters, my cousins… my wonderful husband because he’s the most supportive man I’ve ever known,” she said during the live broadcast.

Career Success Amid Personal Change

Brunson’s career has surged since the premiere of Abbott Elementary in 2021. The ABC series, which she writes, executive produces and stars in as Janine Teagues, has earned critical acclaim and a growing list of accolades.

The divorce was finalized in 2024, closing a chapter in her personal life as her professional success continues to rise.

‘Normal For Tampa’: Woman Books Florida Airbnb With Listing That Promises She’ll Have The Place To Herself. Then She Shows Up

A woman checks into her Florida Airbnb thinking she and her travel companion will be alone. When she arrives, the situation is more complicated than she initially expected.

TikTok user Val (@itsvaleriexx) and a friend traveled to Tampa last week to see the band My Chemical Romance live in concert.

She reveals what happened when they arrived at their Airbnb, which they thought would be a private accommodation, in a video posted last week.

“Tell me why there’s like random cars parked in front,” Val says as she approaches the front door. “Who is in here? We just got the keys. We’re about to walk in. Hopefully, there’s no one in there.”

The suspicious cars in the front yard would’ve been enough of a red flag. But then Val’s first attempt to unlock the front door doesn’t work. “I think we’re in the shed out the back, because we tried the front door and the keys didn’t open it,” she says. She goes to the back patio gate and tries the key. It works.

In the caption, Val writes, “The caveat is the Airbnb listing said we’d have the whole place to ourselves, so that’s why we were so confused.”

Florida Airbnb: ‘Are You Guys Locked In the Shed?’

In the comments, viewers expressed alarm at the abrupt end of the video and concern for the safety of Val and her friend.

“Girl, are you guys locked in the shed? Can you update us, please? This is concerning,” wrote one person.

“We had people living in the garage when we stayed near Tampa,” wrote a second user. “It was sketchy.”

“The instructions should have said if it was a separate building behind a house—let alone a locked door. That’s scary,” said a third person.

However, several people familiar with the culture in Tampa said this isn’t necessarily a red flag. “That’s totally normal for Tampa,” wrote one person. “They rent their yards for tailgating if they’re close to the stadium.”

Later in the day, Val updated viewers on her situation in a follow-up video. “In the end, it was fine,” Val wrote in the caption. “The Airbnb listing was a bit misleading, saying entire place to yourself when really it was just a room. So the cars parked out front, I assume, are all the people who actually live there. And they were using the closet to divide this room from the rest of the house.”

The ‘Entire Place’ Option on Airbnb

According to Airbnb, the entire place option is “usually” a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and a separate dedicated entrance. As was pointed out in the comments, Val’s accommodation could be seen to fulfill all those requirements.

However, Airbnb’s website does say that hosts should tell guests in advance whether the space is owner-occupied or not. The listing seems more akin to the “private room” option, which generally includes shared common areas. This is important to note, because the rules for owner access to the property are different for entire home and shared stays.

In entire home stays, hosts can’t access the property or private spaces without permission. In shared spaces, owners can access shared spaces but not bedrooms or bathrooms.

All Hip Hop contacted Val via TikTok comment and direct message for comment. We also contacted Airbnb via email for comment.

Ice Cube’s Tour Bus Goes Up In Flames, Cops Scouring For Footage To Find Perpetrator

Ice Cube was in Portland for his “Truth to Power” tour when one of his tour buses caught fire near the Moda Center, prompting an arson investigation and a strong reaction from the Hip-Hop icon.

Portland Fire & Rescue responded to the scene on Thursday after receiving reports of a blaze involving the front passenger-side tire of a tour bus. Firefighters quickly entered the vehicle, cleared the smoke and confirmed no one was injured.

The incident occurred while the 55-year-old rapper and actor was preparing to perform at the Moda Center on September 22.

Authorities initially weren’t sure if the vehicle was tied to Ice Cube’s tour, but the artist later confirmed the connection and addressed the incident directly.

“I’m not taking this incident as a personal attack,” Ice Cube told KGW. “A coward like that would burn anybody’s property that was out there at the time.”

His statement suggests he believes the fire may have been deliberately set, though officials have not confirmed a cause. Portland investigators are now canvassing the area for surveillance footage and have assigned a dedicated investigator to the case.

Born O’Shea Jackson in South Central Los Angeles, Ice Cube became a defining voice in Hip-Hop as a founding member of N.W.A. in the late 1980s.

After parting ways with the group in 1989, he launched a solo career that cemented his place in music history and later transitioned into film with box office hits like “Friday” and “Barbershop.”

The investigation into the bus fire remains active as of Thursday. No suspects have been named.

Metro Boomin Won A Civil Case—Here’s What It Cost Him

LOS ANGELES — Metro Boomin was found not liable Thursday in a civil sexual assault lawsuit tied to a 2016 hotel incident, ending a legal battle that shadowed the Hip-Hop producer for nearly a year.

A Los Angeles jury deliberated for just one hour before deciding that plaintiff Vanessa LeMaistre failed to prove her allegations against the 32-year-old artist, whose legal name is Leland Wayne. The lawsuit, filed in October 2023, accused Wayne of raping LeMaistre after a music event in Southern California.

Jury Delivers Swift Verdict

The trial concluded on May 2 with a decisive outcome. Jurors dismissed all four claims brought against Wayne, effectively clearing him of any civil liability. The Rolling Stone reported that the jury’s decision came quickly, signaling a lack of evidence to support the plaintiff’s claims.

LeMaistre’s attorney, Michael J. Willemin, told People they were “disappointed” with the result and intend to appeal.

Metro Boomin Speaks Out After Verdict

Following the ruling, Wayne addressed the situation in a detailed Instagram post, expressing both gratitude and frustration.

“I’m grateful and thankful to God that I can finally put all of this nonsense behind me. Based off of how I treat others and represent myself, never in a million years would I have thought I could be accused of such a disgusting and heinous act,” he wrote.

Wayne, known for producing chart-topping tracks for artists like Future and 21 Savage, said the case took a heavy toll on his personal and professional life.

“Today I took a victory in court but in reality there is a long list of losses I stacked up in this year long process of clearing my name and reputation. The very large amount of money and time wasted based off of someone else’s greed, coupled with the incalculable amount of money and opportunities that did not make it to me or my team during this time,” he said.

Family and Reputation at the Center

The producer also highlighted the emotional strain the case placed on his family, particularly his younger siblings, whom he adopted after his mother’s death in 2022.

“The trauma my family and I have endured during this dark period can never be forgiven,” he said.

Wayne ended his statement by thanking his legal team and offering support to others who have faced false accusations or survived real trauma.

“Peace and love to all of the actual victims out there as well as the innocent and accused.”

The civil case officially wrapped on Thursday, May 2, with no damages awarded to the plaintiff.

Cardi B Seems To Diss Nicki Minaj On Young Thug’s “Uy Scuti”

Cardi B and Young Thug just dropped a grenade into the middle of a school yard. Everybody was relaxed—at least Nicki and Cardi. Cardi cleaned up all the chicks on her album, Am I The Drama? But not Nicki.

Cardi’s appearance on Thugger’s freshly released album Uy Scuti, she seems to change this notion. “On The News” has fans pulling out popcorn. Why? Because midway through her verse, Cardi spits: “How you laughing when I heard you getting beat on, gotta pay your n###a way every trip y’all be on.”

The Barbz and the Bardi Gang went into full detective mode. After a lull in the action, Cardi might’ve just fired another shot at Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty. You know Petty has a rep as a bad, bad man. People are wondering if he might get involved in this mess.

READ ALSO: Cardi B Says She Was Destined To Become Famous

It would not be the first time. Petty and Offset had their own clash in 2023, but now that he is out of the picture, he may chill. The Nicki and Petty saga is rumored to be pretty toxic, but that is all unverified.

The second half paints Petty as a financially dependent husband. Nicki’s household has to be tense if they are having any discussion about this. He has had considerable legal troubles and very little career of note.

Young Thug has remained silent, but he certainly benefits since his streams are up. Do you think Cardi planned this to slow any momentum Nicki tries to get?

Nicki Minaj JUST announced her next studio album is slated for March 27, 2026. I am thinking this could be a coincidence.

So, did Cardi B diss Nicki Minaj on Young Thug’s “On The News”? People think so, but I am thinking “subs” do not matter until a name is mentioned.

Only time will tell, but I suspect Nicki will go off when the time is right.

Man Convicted Of Robbing 50 Cent Busted For Sex Assault

A guy who is out on parole for jacking about $3 million worth of cash and jewels from 50 Cent got locked up again after allegedly assaulting a woman in Jersey City.

Richard Murphy, 35, got picked up by a SWAT team, less than two weeks after cops say he and another dude followed a woman home from the PATH station on July 26 and attacked her inside her building vestibule.

According to the police report obtained by Patch, the two guys approached the 37-year-old woman and asked why she was alone, adding they “could take care of her.”

She told them to back off. When she got to her door, one of them shoved her inside, pulled up her skirt and assaulted her. The woman screamed and fought back; she punched him and he punched her right back.

Cops showed up around 11:30 P.M. and found blood at the scene. She was taken to Jersey City Medical Center.

Murphy was caught nearly two weeks later at his home. Now here’s where it gets even crazier—this dude was already on parole from a previous case where he hit a lick at an apartment tied to 50 Cent’s business.

Back in January 2021, Murphy and two other guys broke into the Cliffside Park property and made off with about $3 million in jewelry and cash from an unlocked safe.

Murphy ended up pleading guilty to second-degree theft and third-degree burglary. He got five years in August 2023 but was back on the streets by February 2024.

Now he’s staring down new charges: aggravated sexual assault, assault and burglary.

Cardi B Theorizes Why She’s Always In Headlines

NEW YORK — Cardi B dismissed long-standing rumors that her rise in Hip-Hop was manufactured to replace Nicki Minaj and said she’s done entertaining the years-long tension between the two rap stars.

Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast Thursday, Cardi B addressed speculation that her career was built to overshadow Minaj’s, a theory that’s followed her since she broke into mainstream rap in 2017.

“People have made this whole story that I came (into) the industry to like take over somebody’s career,” Cardi told host Alex Cooper. “But it’s like, I never thought that. I just wanted to become famous at what I like to do… Sometimes people just don’t get along with each other. This is what I was destined for. I was meant to become this, no matter who signed me, no matter what. I was going to be famous and I was going to be a rapper.”

Cardi Says She Funded Her Own Rise

Without naming Minaj directly, Cardi emphasized that her success wasn’t handed to her by any label or executive. The Bronx native, born Belcalis Almánzar, said she bankrolled her own early projects.

“I invested in myself,” she said. “I always invested in myself. I paid for my own music videos, I paid for everything.”

The Grammy-winning rapper also made it clear she’s no longer interested in continuing the public feud that began in 2017 and escalated during a 2018 New York Fashion Week incident, where she threw a shoe at Minaj during a party.

“I’m done,” she said.

Why Cardi Thinks She’s A Magnet For Criticism

Cardi, who recently released her second album Am I The Drama?, also opened up about why she believes she’s often the target of criticism in the rap world.

“I’m so relatable. And I think they think like it’s like, ‘Why am I not in her position? Why her and not me?’ I might be relatable, I might make it look easy, but it’s really not. I put a lot of thought into it. I have a team,” she said.

Still In The Spotlight

Now 32 and expecting her fourth child, Cardi continues to command attention both musically and publicly. Her full interview aired Thursday on the Call Her Daddy podcast.

A$AP Rocky Labels A$AP Mob “Rebellious Children”

A$AP Rocky broke his silence on the state of his relationship with A$AP Mob, admitting he feels overlooked by the crew he once called family.

In a recent interview with Elle, the Harlem-born rapper confirmed the group hasn’t officially disbanded, despite a high-profile legal dispute with former member A$AP Relli, who accused Rocky of firing a gun at him in 2021.

“I ain’t bullshitting. This ain’t no politically correct answer,” Rocky said. “Anybody who used to be my protégés, my friends, my musical band partners, and they don’t f### with me, that’s ’cause they don’t f### with me.”

The 36-year-old artist was acquitted in February of two felony assault charges tied to that incident.

The case had cast a shadow over the future of the collective, which launched in 2006 and helped define a new era of Harlem Hip-Hop.

Rocky made it clear he holds no grudges, adding, “I don’t have animosity toward anybody. I don’t have a reason to. I’m too happy.”

Still, he acknowledged feeling underappreciated for the role he played in the group’s rise.

“I played a father figure for a lot of these guys despite us being close in age,” he said. “It’s different when people are sleeping on your floor, your couch, your bed. When you’ve got 13 people living in a one-bedroom apartment, and you just got money — especially when you don’t have to. So I look at it as my children just being rebellious.”

Rocky emphasized he isn’t trying to portray himself as a victim. “I really do sleep well at night, because I know I’m not trying to do anybody dirty. I just want everybody to be together.”

The Elle interview arrives months after the rapper’s legal victory and amid speculation about the status of the Mob.

The group, known for launching the careers of A$AP Ferg, A$AP Nast and the late A$AP Yams, has seen its members drift apart in recent years.

A$AP Mob was founded in Harlem in 2006 and became a defining force in Hip-Hop throughout the 2010s.

Diddy’s Court Attire Becomes Legal Issue Before Sentencing

Diddy must now convince a federal judge in New York why he should be allowed to wear civilian clothing instead of standard-issue jail attire when he appears for sentencing on October 3, 2025, after an earlier request for non-prison garments was denied.

Judge Rejects Initial Wardrobe Request

U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian turned down a motion from Diddy’s legal team to wear civilian clothes during a September 25 hearing, stating the defense failed to present a valid reason. The judge said he would consider a new request for the October sentencing but expects a clear and detailed explanation.

Combs’ attorneys had asked for a modest set of clothes: two button-down shirts, two pairs of pants, two sweaters and one pair of laceless shoes. That’s a sharp reduction from what he was allowed during his criminal trial earlier this year, when he was permitted five of each item to avoid appearing in jail gear before a jury.

Sentencing Set for October 3

The upcoming hearing will determine the sentence for Combs, who was convicted of two federal counts related to transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution. The charges fall under the Mann Act, a law that prohibits interstate travel for illegal sexual activity.

Federal courts often allow civilian clothing during jury trials to prevent bias, but that leniency doesn’t always extend to sentencing proceedings. Judge Subramanian’s insistence on justification reflects that difference—especially in high-profile cases involving public figures like Combs.

Defense Seeks Acquittal or New Trial

Combs’ legal team is actively working to overturn the conviction or secure a retrial. They argue the prosecution misapplied the Mann Act and failed to prove their case. According to the defense, Combs did not profit from any prostitution and only paid escorts to engage in consensual acts with his romantic partners—conduct they say is protected under the First Amendment.

They also claim Combs never personally transported anyone and did not receive money from the encounters. Prosecutors, however, allege Combs orchestrated and sometimes participated in the acts, secretly recorded them without consent and met the legal criteria for trafficking.

Judge Subramanian heard arguments on the motion to acquit or retry the case on September 25. He has not yet issued a ruling.

Combs has been in federal custody since September 2024. His bail requests have been repeatedly denied due to concerns over potential violence and witness tampering.

Was Ice Cube’s Tour Bus Firebombed?

Ice Cube continues to make music and tour, but there is a recent, disturbing rumor.

The Hip-Hop legend’s tour bus was reportedly attacked while he was in town for a performance at the Moda Center. According to some reports, the bus was firebombed. Other reports have characterized what happened as an electrical fire or mishap.

Thankfully, Cube was not harmed in the incident. Authorities are now looking into surveillance footage from nearby cameras to see what’s really going on.

So, let us begin with the most outrageous rumor.

There’s speculation online that someone may have confused the large “ICE CUBE” branding on the side of the vehicle with ICE, the imperialistic federal immigration agency. I see chatter online, with zero evidence, that says radicals tried to attack “Ice.”

I find that absurd for a number of reasons. And yet, this is 2025 and stranger things is literally what we do. This would be hilarious if it did not involve “fire” and “bombs” in it. Ice Cube, for his part, is not falling for the “mishap” theory.

“I’m not taking this incident as a personal attack. A coward like that would burn anybody’s property that was out there at the time,” Ice Cube told KGW in a statement.

If it is an “attack,” I am thinking they knew who they were attacking. For now, Portland authorities are calling it an active investigation. Was this a random act of vandalism, a politically motivated attack or just some bozo that thought they were fighting “ICE”?

Either way, it’s another sign of the times. Craziness. One thing is certain: the streets might be cold, but attacking Ice Cube’s bus is a whole other level of icy ignorance.

Did you know Ice Cube dropped an album this month? Yep.

Nas Casino Wins Approval, Queens Borough President Laughs At JAY-Z

Nas secured a major victory in New York as his $5.5 billion casino expansion plan in Queens received unanimous backing from a local advisory board, just days after Jay-Z’s competing Times Square proposal was denied by Manhattan officials.

Queens Backs Nas With Unanimous Vote

The Queens Community Advisory Committee voted 6-0 on September 24, 2025, in favor of expanding Resorts World New York City near the Aqueduct racetrack. The project includes a 7,000-seat arena, 2,000 hotel rooms and more than 30 restaurants, positioning it as a front-runner for one of the state’s three downstate casino licenses.

Queens get the money,” Queens Borough President Donovan Richards said during the vote, quoting the rap icon before adding a jab at Jay-Z: “Sorry, Jay-Z. We win again! I just had to rub that in.”

Jay-Z’s Times Square Casino Plan Rejected

Jay-Z’s $5.4 billion Times Square casino pitch—developed alongside Roc Nation, Caesars Entertainment and SL Green—was voted down 4-2 by Manhattan’s Community Advisory Committee on September 17. The plan faced strong resistance from Broadway stakeholders and neighborhood groups who worried the development would disrupt tourism and the area’s cultural core.

Critics argued the casino would undermine the theater district’s economic stability and character.

Nas’s Queens Roots and Community Focus

Raised in the Queensbridge Houses, Nas teamed up with Resorts World to ensure the project addresses local needs. The blueprint includes 3,000 units of workforce housing, more than 50 acres of green space and upgraded public transit linking the site to JFK Airport and Manhattan.

Nas is also helping lead a $50 million investment into the Genting Innovation Campus, which will feature the Kenny “The Jet” Smith Academy, a wellness facility and a STEAM education center for youth in Southeast Queens.

He described the project as a way to “bring new opportunities for hard-working families in Queens” and to “foster the next generation of leaders.”

Economic Impact and Next Steps

If licensed, the casino is projected to double its gaming revenue from $1 billion to $2.2 billion by 2027. The expansion is expected to generate 5,000 permanent jobs and another 5,000 construction positions.

With the Queens committee’s endorsement secured, Nas’s project now holds a competitive edge as New York State moves closer to awarding final casino licenses.

Nas earned a major win in Queens as his $5.5 billion casino project gained full community approval just days after Jay-Z’s Times Square bid was rejected.

Cardi B Says She Was Destined To Become Famous

Cardi B pushed back against long-standing rumors and industry gossip during a wide-ranging interview, where she addressed claims that she was manufactured to replace Nicki Minaj as Hip-Hop’s top female artist and explained why she believes she draws so much scrutiny.

Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Cardi B dismissed the theory that her rise was orchestrated by label execs to edge out Minaj, with whom she’s had a tense relationship since 2017.

The tension famously exploded at a New York Fashion Week after-party in 2018 when Cardi threw a shoe at the “Super Bass” rapper.

Although she didn’t name Minaj directly, Cardi clarified that her success wasn’t handed to her.

The Bronx-born rapper said she’s always backed her own career financially.

“I invested in myself,” she said. “I always invested in myself. I paid for my own music videos, I paid for everything.”

She also said she’s no longer interested in keeping the feud alive. “I’m done,” she added, again without naming Nicki Minaj.

Cardi, who recently dropped her sophomore album Am I The Drama?, also reflected on why she believes she draws so much attention and criticism in the rap world.

“I’m so relatable. And I think they think like it’s like, ‘Why am I not in her position? Why her and not me?’ I might be relatable, I might make it look easy, but it’s really not. I put a lot of thought into it. I have a team,” she said.

The 32-year-old is currently pregnant with her fourth child and remains in the spotlight, both musically and publicly, as her album rollout continues.

‘Sir You Left This On the Table’: Tennessee Cheddar’s Customer Lets Server ‘Keep The Change.’ Then She Gives Back The ‘Insulting’ Tip

Tipping culture debates stay undefeated, and Tennessee-based TikTok creator Karma Leeann (@probablypettingcats) just reignited the conversation. She recently posted a video about a first date.

What started off smoothly ended with her calling for the manager over the tip. The video has already pulled in nearly 7,000 views and counting.

Everything Changed At Tip Time

According to Leeann, she and her man went to Chedder’s for their first official date, where she first encountered her waitress, Ms. Marissa.

“She was so nice. So sweet. Did all the things. Made sure we had our to-go boxes, our ranch, you know, was talking to us all smiley… I’m just having a great day,” she said.

Everything was going well until the bill came. The total was $53, and her date handed the waitress $55, telling her to keep the change. However, the waitress came back to the table and returned the $2, saying, “That’s honestly an insult to me. You can keep your $2.”

Leeann was shocked.

“I go, ‘Excuse me?’ Because typically, you know, tipping culture, you put the tip on the table. I go, ‘That was [expletive] rude.’ And she goes, ‘Well, I think that was rude.’ I go, ‘Give me your manager.’”

When viewers weighed in, however, loyalties were divided.

Commenters Debate Tipping Culture

The comments section was on fire, and, to Leeann’s shock, most were riding with the waitress.

“You know good and well y’all weren’t gonna leave her anything else than that… She was definitely right. shame on y’all,” one commenter wrote.

Another piled on: “I agree with the waitress. You say outta 1 side of your mouth that she got everything right; Then, yall give her that whopping $2 tip for the great service.”

Even a waitress chimed in, saying: “Team waitress. I’ve done that a few times as a waitress. Excellent service and leave $1? Nope! Sir you left this on the table.”

Still, a few voices backed Leeann, with some dismissing tipping culture altogether.

“Tips are OPTIONAL,” one commenter wrote.. “Tips are never required, they’re a courtesy for good service, not an automatic paycheck. If someone feels entitled to one, maybe they’re in the wrong line of work lmao.”

“Tipping isn’t required,” another echoed.

Trying to set the record straight, Leeann dropped a follow-up video to back up her side of the story. She explained that the $2 was never meant to be the actual tip.

“We were going to tip,” she said. “The $2 was just for her to keep. That wasn’t the tip. Tip goes on the table.”

Leeann did not immediately respond to our request for comment.

Turk Demands $340K From Cash Money Tour Promoters After Abrupt Removal Over B.G. Dispute

Turk, one-fourth of the iconic Hip-Hop group Hot Boys, is suing two concert promotion companies for over $340,000 after being dropped from the Cash Money Millionaires’ 30th Anniversary Tour over a clash with fellow rapper B.G..

The lawsuit, filed Friday in Broward County, Florida, accuses Artists By Artists Agency LLC and Dope Shows Inc. of breaching their contract and misusing Turk’s name and image in promotional materials after cutting him from the tour lineup.

According to TMZ, Turk had agreed to a $400,000 deal but was removed mid-tour after disputing a proposed pay cut and never received the full amount.

The promoters allegedly cited “security concerns” and “threats of violence” tied to Turk’s ongoing beef with B.G. as the reason for the termination.

View this post on Instagram

Turk claims those reasons were a smokescreen to dodge payment obligations. He argues that the tension with B.G. was no secret and had already been stirring before the contract was signed.

“Look, I’m fighting a lawsuit right now. I can’t put everything out there, but I want y’all to understand the lesson behind it. When you sign paperwork, when you deal with business people, when you shake hands—make sure it’s solid. Don’t just trust words, trust what’s in writing. Protect yourself, because not everybody out here got your best interest at heart,” Turk said.

In fact, he says the promoters leaned into the drama to help drive ticket sales. Despite the alleged safety risks, B.G. remained on the tour while Turk was cut.

The Hot Boys—Turk, B.G., Juvenile, and Lil Wayne– rose to fame in the late ’90s under the Cash Money Records banner. Their albums, Get It How U Live and Guerrilla Warfare, became staples of Southern rap before the group went their separate ways in the early 2000s.

This isn’t Turk’s first courtroom battle with Cash Money affiliates. In 2015, he filed a $1.3 million lawsuit against the label for unpaid royalties dating back to the late ’90s.

Juvenile, who also performed on the anniversary tour, told TMZ he had “zero issues with his pay during the tour,” suggesting Turk’s experience was not shared by all members.

The lawsuit seeks the remaining $340,000 Turk says he’s owed, along with unspecified damages for the unauthorized use of his likeness.
