Jay-Z At War In Europe Over Top Soccer Star’s Contract

Jay-Z finds himself battling another agency over representation rights for rising soccer star Yan Diomande in a legal dispute that could derail the 19-year-old’s dream move to Liverpool FC this summer.

Roc Nation announced it had signed the RB Leipzig forward earlier this month and added his profile to its website alongside other high-profile athletes.

But Maxidel Management claims it already renewed its contract with Diomande on January 1 and “remains contractually bound” to Diomande through 2027.

The conflict centers around who has the legal right to negotiate Diomande’s contracts and image rights deals.

Maxidel Management, run by former Leeds United winger Max Gradel, says it has filed and received approval in Germany, Spain and England, confirming its representation until 2027.

Diomande has been tearing up the Bundesliga since his £17.5 million move from Leganés, scoring nine goals and adding seven assists across all competitions.

His pace and ability to beat defenders on the outside or cut inside have caught the attention of Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester United, plus Bayern Munich.

Maxidel argues that any agreement made with another agency happened without proper procedure and they will “take all necessary legal steps to protect their rights.”

Roc Nation believes they signed Diomande legally, but hasn’t commented publicly on the specifics.

This isn’t Jay-Z’s first rodeo in the sports representation game. Roc Nation Sports has represented major athletes, including Kevin Durant, CC Sabathia, and Robinson Canó, since launching in 2013.

The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international has been putting up numbers that have scouts drooling. His form this season has him in contention for his country’s World Cup squad and multiple Premier League clubs are circling.

But until this representation mess gets sorted out, any potential summer transfer remains on ice. The legal battle could drag on for months, potentially costing Diomande his chance to join one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

According to DaveOCKOP, the dispute represents “a significant obstacle to any smooth summer move from RB Leipzig, including a possible transfer to Liverpool.”

EXCLUSIVE: Outkast Resolves ATLiens Name Dispute With Masked EDM Duo In Georgia

Outkast has closed its trademark battle against the EDM duo ATLiens after reaching a settlement deal in Georgia federal court.

The Hip-Hop legends sued the electronic dance music pair in 2024 over their use of the ATLiens name from Outkast’s 1996 album.

A federal judge dismissed the case on February 20 after both sides filed papers stating they had reached a settlement framework. The court documents show that the parties are working to finalize their agreement, but have kept all settlement terms private.

“The parties are pleased to report that that they have reached agreement on a general settlement framework and are in the process of drafting and negotiating a formal settlement agreement,” Outkast’s lawyer, Joshua M. Kalb, explained.

The Atlanta-based EDM duo had been using the ATLiens name since 2012 and registered federal trademarks in 2020. Outkast’s legal team argued the electronic artists were trading on their fame and confusing fans about who created the original ATLiens brand.

Outkast’s company, High Schoolers LLC, filed the lawsuit claiming trademark infringement and unfair competition. The complaint said the EDM group used the name for merchandise, including t-shirts and sweaters, while mimicking Outkast promotional materials.

The EDM duo ATLiens has grown to 456,000 Spotify listeners and 253,000 Instagram followers since starting their career. They wear masks during performances, which Outkast’s lawyers suggested could create additional confusion about the artists’ identities.

Outkast created the word “ATLiens” by combining Atlanta with aliens for their second studio album.

The Hip-Hop duo Andre 3000 and Big Boi have sold over 25 million records worldwide and won six Grammy Awards. Their ATLiens album is considered one of the greatest Hip-Hop records by both music critics and fans.

Both parties must complete their final settlement paperwork by March 15, according to court filings.

Did Cam’ron’s Pink Side Hustle Just Land Him In Legal Trouble

Cam’ron is catching chatter about Pink Horse Power and an alleged lawsuit storm that has the Dipset legend trending for reasons far away from a classic freestyle or a viral clip from his podcast couch.

Word on the internet streets says a customer who bought the male enhancement supplement ended up in the ER with scary symptoms, and now lawyers are circling like it is high-stakes gambling. Nothing is confirmed in court as of this writing, but the gossip machine is loud enough that even veteran Hip-Hop watchers like us at AllHipHop had to lean in and listen.

According to the claims making the rounds, the product trademark reportedly ties back to Cam’ron’s name, which led one commentator to say, “this is Cam’s product all day long.” That same chatter says a plaintiff allegedly experienced high blood pressure and heart rate spikes after taking the supplement. There are also rumors that regulators in New Jersey are sniffing around to see if everything about the product checks out. Again, all of this is alleged, and Cam has not publicly confirmed any wrongdoing.

But, we have a source that confirmed this is a “thing.” The source also questioned the credibility of the plaintiff.

The story gets murkier with talk of behind-the-scenes negotiations. One recorded exchange that is floating around features someone saying, “this has been eye opening. You’re absolutely right. This has been an eyeopening experience.” I do not know what this means, but let me know if this half-way talk says anything to you.

For Cam’ron, this could be just another headline in a career full of plot twists. The Harlem icon has survived it all and is now and a big dog in the ever-changing podcast economy. Still, if there are real legal issues, they could test his brand in new ways. It may also open the portal, as people are very litigious these days.

Until official documents surface, we are watching carefully, asking questions, and keeping the speculation in its proper lane.

Stay tuned, because this one might end quietly explode…pause.

It is what it is.

EXCLUSIVE: Brian McKnight Sues Radio Station For Claiming He’s An Abusive, Awful Dad

Brian McKnight is taking his family drama off Instagram and into a North Carolina courtroom to deny that he is an abusive, deadbeat father.

The R&B vet is going after Foxy 107.1, its owner Urban One, and longtime on‑air host Karen Clark. He accuses them of defamation, negligent and reckless publication, and vicarious liability, and is seeking more than $25,000 in compensatory damages on each claim, plus punitive damages.

According to the filing, the drama centers on a January 23, 2025, Foxy 107.1 interview with McKnight’s ex‑wife, singer Julie McKnight, that aired from the station’s Raleigh studio and was also posted on its YouTube channel.

McKnight says Julie used that sit‑down to recycle a long‑running narrative that he was “emotionally abusive, mentally abusive, and a neglectful father,” and that Clark helped push it to listeners instead of acting like a neutral host.

Brian McKnight points to specific moments in the interview where Julie claims she and their kids were “asked to leave our house at two and three years old,” and says she’s been “putting out fires” with their adult children over what she calls his “lies” about their family.

She also describes a “very, very negative” text from McKnight while their son Niko was battling cancer and suggests the kids pulled away from him because his behavior was “so damaging.”

The suit says Clark didn’t just sit back and let Julie talk. It alleges she nodded along, co‑signed the accusations with her own commentary, and used her questions to validate the story.

McKnight says those moments turned the segment into a tag‑team hit, not a fair interview. He argues the conversation framed him as dishonest, abusive and unfit as a parent, and that Foxy 107.1 never checked the claims, never offered him a chance to respond, and never added any disclaimer.

McKnight also pulls Urban One’s nationally syndicated Rickey Smiley Morning Show into the lawsuit, saying a December 15, 2025, podcast episode added fuel to the fire.

In that episode, Smiley’s team allegedly pulled in a clip from an outside interview with McKnight’s eldest son, Brian McKnight Jr., who claimed his dad refused to tell Niko he loved him as he was dying from cancer.

The suit says that the edited clip ran without context or McKnight’s side and was framed to suggest he coldly withheld love from his son during Niko’s final days.

On‑air reactions like “That does not surprise me” and “That’s unfortunate” allegedly helped sell the story to Smiley’s 865,000‑plus YouTube subscribers, with the episode pulling about 2,400 views as of the filing.

McKnight says that’s not neutral syndication, it’s Urban One using its platforms to “validate and reinforce” a damaging narrative about him.

McKnight also claims Urban One and Smiley knew better. The complaint says McKnight had been in contact with Smiley “for several years,” asking him to stop spreading “false and misleading” commentary about his relationship with his older kids.

Even with that warning, the filing says, the company continued to “publish, republish, and amplify” similar claims across its shows, which McKnight calls a “pattern of reckless disregard for the truth” rather than an innocent mistake.

That lawsuit lands on top of a family feud that’s already been playing out in public for years.

McKnight has long been estranged from his oldest children, and both they and his exes have aired him out on social media and in interviews.

In 2023, he and his current wife, Leilani, welcomed a son named Brian Kainoa Makoa Jr., and he legally changed his name to match the new baby’s, despite already having a son named Brian McKnight Jr., sparking heavy backlash and accusations that he was erasing his older kids.

His eldest son and daughter have repeatedly accused him online of abandoning them and their children, with Brian Jr. calling his father’s treatment of the family “an obscene level of self hate.”

In 2024, McKnight referred to his older biological children as “products of sin” in an Instagram post, drawing more outrage and fresh responses from his kids and from Julie, who said those comments capped off years of emotional and mental abuse.

After Niko died of cancer, Brian Jr. went public with a heartbreaking story about allegedly begging his father to tell Niko “I love you” before he passed, and says McKnight refused, an interview that helped set up the clip later used on Smiley’s show.

McKnight, for his part, has pushed back in statements and recent interviews, saying he was blocked from helping Niko and insisting the online story about his parenting is twisted and incomplete.

Brian McKnight has filed a defamation lawsuit against Urban One, accusing the company of amplifying his ex‑wife’s abuse claims.

Gavin Newsom Claps Back At Nicki Minaj, Fox News Says Outrage Is Fake

Gavin Newsom fired back at conservative critics after his Atlanta book tour comments about dyslexia and low SAT scores triggered accusations of racism.

The California governor told a mixed audience Sunday that he scored 960 on the SAT and struggles with reading due to his learning disability during a conversation with Mayor Andre Dickens.

Conservative commentators, including Megyn Kelly and Rick Scott, immediately pounced on the remarks, claiming Newsom was being racist toward Black Americans.

Nicki Minaj led the Hip-Hop criticism with a series of posts targeting the Democratic governor’s communication style and intentions.

The rapper wrote on X that Newsom’s “way of bonding with black ppl is to tell them how stupid he is and that he can’t read.”

Nicki Minaj accused the governor of “slowing his speech down” to “make them understand the words that are coming out of his mouth” as if “they’re children.”

Nicki Minaj continued her criticism by claiming Newsom “REALLY BELIEVES they’re slow” and that “he didn’t misspeak” but genuinely holds these views about Black Americans.

The Hip-Hop superstar argued that his approach revealed someone who has been “handed so many things and put in high positions he never earned or deserved.”

The Young Man in a Hurry author defended himself by calling out what he termed “fake f###### outrage” from Sean Hannity and other Fox News personalities.

Gavin Newsom pointed out that these same critics remained silent when Donald Trump posted racist content about Barack Obama or called African nations “shitholes,” according to HuffPost.

The governor explained that his comments were about vulnerability and authenticity, not about making assumptions about his audience’s intelligence.

Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens defended Newsom on Instagram, providing context for the full conversation and sharing photos of the diverse audience.

Dickens wrote that “context matters more than a headline” and emphasized that Atlanta residents “don’t need anyone to tell us when to be offended” and encouraged people to watch the complete video.

Newsom’s book tour continues with scheduled stops in several major cities through March 2026.

50 Cent And T.I. Feud Intensifies As Mystery Street Figure Looms In Shadows

What began as a casual Verzuz suggestion has spiraled into a public clash between 50 Cent and T.I., drawing family members and longtime adversaries into an already heated Hip-Hop standoff.

The dispute traces back to T.I.’s long-running desire to face 50 Cent in a Verzuz battle. While T.I. has openly expressed interest over the years, 50 Cent has consistently declined the invitation, brushing off the idea.

READ ONLY: T.I. Claims He Has 50 Cent’s Paperwork As Feud Over Verzuz Gets Personal

Now wew have reignited tensions. Then it took an ugly turn with references to T.I.’s wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris of Xscape and then their son King Harris jumped in the back-and-forth. The milk just kept spilling.

Nobody from 50 Cent’s immediate circle (Yayo & Uncle Murda) has publicly stepped into the beef, leaving the fracas between the principals and their extended social orbit. The involvement of family members has intensified everything.

READ ALSO: 50 Cent Posts Pepe Frog Meme After King Harris Attacks His Dead Mother

Now, another wrinkle has emerged.

An individual from 50 Cent’s past is in the background to release the “paperwork.” The person behind the alleged move has not identified themselves, but we know who it is. In fact, we all do. But, here’s the thing: he does not want to be known right now. Or ever. It is complicated. Anyway, it seems like both T.I. and King Harris have this alleged paperwork.

By the way, in all of this talk of paperwork, T.I. is actually rapping, the way Hip-Hop does.

Back to this shadowy image. The individual with the “paperwork” is reportedly someone connected to the street chapter of 50 Cent’s early history in New York, not a recording artist. The person is said to be a longstanding adversary. The nature of their prior disputes remains part of Hip-Hop lore. Do you think you know who this could be?

At this stage, it remains unclear whether any “documents” will be released or whether the suggestion itself is a strategic attempt to apply pressure. Allegations involving “paperwork” carry weight, but does that matter now? Anything like this is decades old…

Neither 50 Cent nor T.I. has publicly addressed this latest development, but somebody is, I think.

Flavor Flav Offers USA Women’s Hockey Team Epic Las Vegas Party After Donald Trump’s Joke

Flavor Flav announced plans to host a massive Las Vegas celebration for the USA women’s hockey team after President Trump criticized their recent performance.

The Public Enemy hype man stepped forward with his offer just hours after the team faced public ridicule from the former president on social media.

Flavor Flav’s declaration was posted on his official Instagram account, where he shared a video message directly addressed to the athletes. He promised to cover all expenses for a weekend celebration at one of Las Vegas’s premier venues if the team accepts his invitation.

“These ladies deserve respect and recognition for representing our country,” Flav stated in his social media post. “I want to show them what real American support looks like.”

Trump’s comments come after the USA’s women’s hockey team won an exciting overtime thriller at the Olympics, defeating Canada, 2-1.

View this post on Instagram

In an amazing coincidence, the USA’s men’s hockey team beat Canada as well, in a 2-1 victory. However, Trump only called the men’s team to congratulate them and when he did, he reduced the women to second place.

Trump invited the men to his State of the Union address and even offered to send a private plane to pick them up.

“We have, I must tell you, we are going to have to bring the women’s team, you do know that. I do believe I would probably be impeached [if he didn’t invite them],” Trump snickered.

The remarks drew immediate backlash from sports commentators and Hip-Hop artists who rallied behind the athletes.

Flav’s offer includes luxury accommodations, dining experiences, and entertainment for the entire roster plus coaching staff. The rapper specifically mentioned wanting to highlight the team’s achievements rather than focus on any perceived shortcomings.

Several team members have already responded positively to the invitation through their personal social media accounts. Captain Sarah Johnson posted a thank-you message acknowledging Flav’s gesture and expressing gratitude for the support.

This isn’t the first time Flavor Flav has supported American athletes facing controversy.

He previously backed Olympic sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson during her suspension period and offered similar gestures to other competitors who faced public criticism.

The Las Vegas celebration would take place during the team’s next scheduled break from training, potentially coinciding with their preparation for upcoming international matches.

Flavor Flav’s management team confirmed they are coordinating with USA Hockey officials to finalize the event details by March 15.

Kris Jenner Exposes Ray J’s Two-Decade Terror Campaign Against Kim Kardashian

Kris Jenner filed court documents accusing Ray J of waging a two-decade campaign against her daughter, Kim Kardashian.

Jenner detailed years of harassment in a defamation declaration that paints Ray J as a relentless tormentor who refuses to let go.

Jenner claims Ray J has been “publicly terrorizing” Kim since their brief relationship ended over 20 years ago. The 68-year-old business mogul said she can no longer watch her daughter suffer through Ray J’s constant media attacks and public statements.

“Over the past two decades, I have had to watch [Ray J] publicly terrorize my daughter by continually talking, and lying, about her in the press to try and keep himself relevant,” Jenner wrote in her court filing.

The legal battle escalated after Ray J made claims comparing the Kardashian family to convicted mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. Ray J alleged that Kim and Kris were under federal investigation for crimes “worse than Diddy” during multiple livestreams and interviews throughout 2024 and 2025.

Ray J doubled down on his accusations in December 2025, claiming he was helping federal authorities build a RICO case against the mother-daughter duo.

He specifically stated that “Kim’s and Kris’ RICO violations are worse than any RICO violations that Diddy is accused of.”

The singer’s allegations stem from their tangled history over the infamous 2007 sex tape that launched Kim’s career. Ray J has repeatedly claimed that Kris orchestrated the tape’s release and that multiple versions exist, contradicting the family’s narrative about the scandal.

In recent court filings, Ray J accused Kim and Kris of violating a $6 million settlement agreement by discussing the sex tape on their reality show.

He claims they “conspired with Vivid to defraud the public with their fake lawsuit” and that Kris “masterminded” the entire situation.

Jenner said Ray J’s recent statements crossed a line and caused her “significant emotional distress.” She described watching Kim cry over his accusations and feeling helpless as her daughter faces “a cycle of scrutiny brought on by [Ray J].”

“My family is of the utmost importance to me,” Jenner wrote. “It is deeply painful to watch my daughter experience the stress brought upon her by [Ray J], and her feelings of hopelessness and his harassment will never end.”

The defamation case represents Jenner’s first lawsuit of this nature, highlighting how seriously she takes Ray J’s allegations

She claims his statements have damaged her decades-long business empire and could harm Kim’s aspirations to become a lawyer.

Ray J’s legal team has not backed down from the fight, filing countersuit claims and promising to release “receipts” that allegedly prove their version of events.

Nicki Minaj Blasts Gavin Newsom, Claiming Disingenuous Attempt To Connect With Black Community

Nicki Minaj called out California Governor Gavin Newsom for what she described as condescending behavior toward Black voters during his appearance at an Atlanta book tour event.

The rapper posted criticism on X after video clips circulated from Newsom’s Sunday evening event promoting his memoir Young Man in a Hurry.

Newsom appeared in conversation with Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens when he discussed his struggles with dyslexia and academic challenges. The governor told the audience he scored 960 on his SATs and emphasized his reading difficulties to connect with attendees.

“I’m like you. I’m no better than you,” Newsom said during the event. “I’m a 960 SAT guy. And I’m not trying to offend anyone. I’m not trying to act all there if you got 940.”

Nicki Minaj responded harshly to clips that went viral on social media platforms.

“His way of bonding with black ppl is to tell them how stupid he is & that he can’t read,” she wrote on X. The rapper accused Newsom of deliberately slowing his speech pattern during the remarks.

“He’s not just TELLING them that they’re all probably stupid & probably can’t read, he’s LITERALLY SLOW-ING-DOWN-HIS-SPEECH to make them understand the words that are coming out of his mouth!!!! As if they’re children!!!!” Minaj continued in her post.

The controversy stems from social media posts that incorrectly described the Atlanta audience as entirely Black.

Images and videos from the event show a racially diverse crowd attending Newsom’s book promotion.

Newsom’s comments came in response to a question about his dyslexia and personal experiences he wanted readers to understand. “You’ve never seen me read a speech because I cannot read a speech,” he explained to the audience. “Maybe the wrong business to be in.”

Minaj has increasingly aligned herself with conservative politics and Donald Trump’s administration in recent months. She previously criticized Newsom over his positions on transgender issues and other California policies.

While she’s busy attacking Governor Newsom, her X.com account is under fire for being infested with a network of bots that amplify her right-wing leaning speech. She has yet to address the claims.

Governor Newsom’s book tour continues with upcoming stops in California and New York as he promotes the book ahead of its February 24 release.

Cardi B Threatens Lawsuit Amid Explosive Nicki Minaj Bot Allegations

Cardi B on Monday threatened legal action against a Republican political strategist who accused her of being linked to a company behind a report alleging that thousands of bots amplified Nicki Minaj’s social media activity.

The dispute spill across Twitter (often called X) in a public dispute got nasty.

Alex Bruesewitz, a Republican strategist and former aide to President Donald Trump, claimed on the social platform that Cardi B threatened to sue him. He then said she deleted the post after he presented information about a representative allegedly tied to Cyabra. Cyabra is considered a disinformation detection that anchored a report on Nicki Minaj’s social media activity.

“Former Kamala Harris surrogate and rapper @iamcardib, who recently threatened to physically assault ICE officers if they came to her shows, just threatened to sue me, but immediately deleted her threat after I provided facts that her rep is, in fact, involved with the company that produced the @NICKIMINAJ ‘bot’ hoax!” Bruesewitz wrote. “You didn’t have to delete it, Cardi!”

Cardi B fired back forcefully, in a profanity laden response that went viral immediately.

“First, please show me where I’m affiliated with this person or they affiliated to anybody that I work with… I don’t have no affiliation to Roc Nation you dumb ass! Second, the conspiracy theories with Roc Nation is getting very ridiculous, y’all starting to act like they the Russians or something. The fact that you work for the government and defaming my name with false allegations.. I’m going to f#cking sue you. Get familiar with my game!!!” she wrote on the platform.

The dispute unfolded against the backdrop of a Politico report examining social media activity tied to Nicki Minaj. According to Politico, an analysis compiled by Cyabra identified more than 18,000 bots that amplified Minaj’s posts on X between Nov. 11 and Dec. 28.

The report described “a coordinated network of bots” that boosted Minaj’s content, particularly as she leaned into conservative political commentary and appeared alongside Trump at the Trump Accounts Summit.

“Supportive comments generated by fake profiles were predominantly brief, repetitive, and low in semantic complexity, consisting largely of praising keywords and positive hashtags rather than original or substantive engagement,” the Cyabra report found, according to Politico.

Cyabra CEO Dan Brahmy told the outlet, “We don’t really see a lot of high volume, high impact orchestration of bad and fake actors within that intersection of the geopolitically driven and music culture. It is scarce in our field to see the combination of the bad and the fake online world with the entertainment world.”

There is no public evidence presented in the Politico report linking Cardi B to Cyabra or to the bot network described in its findings.

‘Dude, my songs’: West Virginia man’s TouchTunes get fast-passed at the bar. Then he gets even—and pulls an Uno Reverse

The next time someone cuts down your favorite jam at the jukebox line at your local bar, you might not be the only one quietly fuming. One West Virginia TikToker says he knows the reason why. In fact, he might be the hater cutting off your selections. Gavin O’Dell (@pimentocheeseenjoyer) claims that placing your fingers over the infrared sensor on the back of a TouchTunes jukebox will turn down the volume on whatever song you don’t want to hear, no app or remote required.

“I love when I meet somebody that doesn’t know that you can turn the TouchTunes with your fingers,” said O’Dell. “If you put your fingers on the back of the thing, you manipulate the volume. And so if someone fast-passes me or plays a [expletive] song, I just go and be like that. And my buddy, one time, we were at the bar, and they were like, ‘Dude, my songs keep turning down. I don’t get it.’ My buddy was like, ‘I guess if they’re [expletive], it just turns down, man. I don’t know.’”

What in the World Is TouchTunes?

TouchTunes is a pay-to-play social jukebox that plays music in bars, restaurants, and other social venues. Users pick and play songs on touchscreens or via the mobile app. It’s hooked up at over 65,000 digital jukeboxes in North America and Europe. You can play everything from recent hits to classic jams of yesteryear.

The app also has a FastPass option, referenced in the clip when O’Dell mentions someone “fast-passing” him, which lets users spend extra credits to move their song to the front of the queue. The jukeboxes have an infrared (IR) receiver, typically on the side or back of the unit.

Let’s see what the hooligans are saying in the comments.

“Better yet. I bought a TouchTunes remote from their website for (at that time $60) controls every TouchTunes!” wrote one viewer. “Never have to hear a song i dont like. And I always control the volume. And no one knows cuz its in my sweatshirt pocket.”

But some people had some funny TouchTunes tales.

“I love loading up some trap rap on the touch tunes at my local old people bar while I’m at home,” said one person. “I bet they never heard of Young Dolph or King Von till I blessed them with it.”

Another person didn’t understand why he wasn’t hearing his songs: “[Once] I requested like 20 songs and none of them were playing. Figured out I was DJing another bar close by.”

One person pranked some listeners to teach a lesson. “Yeah i once rick-rolled a whole bar,” he said. “They skipped it, and I spent $50 on the next 2 hours playing that song. Skip my [expletive] song again, I dare you.”

Rocky Slop!

A couple of seasons ago, ahead of Tennessee’s College Football Playoff matchup against Ohio State in December 2024, Vols fans found out they could use the TouchTunes app to remotely hijack jukeboxes around Columbus, Ohio, where the Buckeyes’ home.

Someone said on social media that someone at a Waffle House in Grove City, Ohio, had played Tennessee’s fight song, “Rocky Top,” three times in 20 minutes. Then, the staff said the song was played nine more times after that. Multiple bars in and around Columbus also reported the song being played.

But it didn’t work out so well. Ohio State smashed Tennessee, 42-17, en route to an eventual national championship.

AllHipHop has reached out to O’Dell via TikTok direct message and comment and to TouchTunes via email. We will update this story if either party responds.

J. Cole Stuck In Phoenix After Honda Civic Dies During Tour

J. Cole found himself stranded in Phoenix after his Honda Civic broke down during a cross-country road trip to Los Angeles.

The North Carolina rapper posted a photo Monday evening showing his car getting repaired at an Arizona auto shop while traveling to promote his latest album, The Fall-Off.

Cole told his 12 million X followers that the vehicle broke down during the journey and that he planned to stay in Phoenix until repairs were completed.

Cole wrote on X that he “tried to make it to LA before we go back home,” but “the Civic said it had enough and broke on us.”

The Grammy winner said he would use a rental van to continue selling CDs around Phoenix while his Honda is being repaired.

The artist added that he would “mob around the city in the sprinter selling CD’s in the meantime” while his car underwent repairs. Phoenix auto shops have not confirmed which location is handling Cole’s vehicle maintenance.
Local Phoenix residents quickly responded to Cole’s post asking which part of the city he was visiting for repairs.

The Dreamville founder has been driving across America, selling physical copies of The Fall-Off directly from his car trunk in a throwback marketing approach.

Cole announced the unconventional promotion strategy after releasing his seventh studio album earlier this month to connect with listeners face-to-face.

Turk Talks Cash Money, BG Fallout, Addiction Recovery & Building A New Empire

Few crews shaped Southern Hip-Hop the way the Hot Boys did in the late 1990s. Emerging from Cash Money Records, the quartet of Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G., and Turk helped transform New Orleans bounce and street rap into a national movement. Albums like Guerrilla Warfare and hits like “Bling Bling” pushed Cash Money from regional powerhouse to cultural empire, and broke down the door for Southern rap to dominate charts, radio, and fashion. It was all done on their own terms.

But that success came at a course.

Time ushered in turbulence like prison time, label tension, personal fallout, addiction, and strained relationships. Turk’s character arc is one of Hip-Hop’s most dramatic, going from Hot Boys stardom to an eight-year prison sentence, then rebuilding his life with sobriety, business ventures, and community work.

In this AllHipHop Q&A with DJ Thoro at WonWorld Studios, Turk speaks on loyalty, feeling intentionally left out of key Cash Money moments, the unresolved rift with B.G., and how surviving addiction created newfound purpose.

AllHipHop: You’re in NYC with family. What’s new with Turk right now?

Turk: Man, I been moving around. I got my book The Autothugography of Turk. I got another book Surviving Ho… If you ever been betrayed, I’m giving you a blueprint on how to survive it. I got seasoning too. Spicy garlic, spicy lemon pepper, hot salt. I be thugging in the kitchen, you feel me? So it only makes sense. Think outside the music. But I do got the Joseph album out too and to me it’s one of my best albums. I was in consideration for a Grammy even though I didn’t get nominated. I hit number five on the iTunes chart independent. I was up there with people that got nominated. If I would’ve been with a major label, all jokes aside, that’s major.

AllHipHop: Do you feel like that’s been your story, people overlooking you?

Turk: I feel like I misunderstood. You one of the first ones in New York to embrace me. We had the record “It’s Hot” and that meant a lot to me. A lot of people you make connections with and when they get to a certain level they get selective amnesia. That’s my story. How soon can you forget? I can’t forget who I slept on floors with, who I was in the heat with, ain’t have no other option. But people do forget, bro.

AllHipHop: Back to “It’s Hot.” You were the only one campaigning for B.G. when he was locked up. Where did you and B.G. go wrong?

Turk: “Only he know why he acting the way he acting.” He has yet to say what I did. “He know what he did. And I know what he did.” And when I respond people quick to say see that’s why. No, that’s not why. Before that’s why, it was why. And you haven’t answered that yet. I hate to keep talking about it, but we connected so they always going to ask. Your story is my story, my story y’all story. People still asked me in jail when we gonna do Hot Boys this and that. Then by the grace of God we had sold out shows. Wayne ain’t have to embrace that situation but he did. Hopefully whatever that is will wear off and we can sit down. If we don’t sit down, just respect each other. You go your way, I go my way. It’s all love.

AllHipHop: From the outside looking in, it feels like you’re getting excluded. Why weren’t you in the Cash Money vs No Limit Verzuz?

Turk: I really don’t know. People be like he know. I don’t know. And they can’t tell you why. I believe it be miscommunication. If I’m telling you as a man I don’t know, don’t tell the people I know. That’s deflection and manipulation because it really not nothing. I’m not going around saying all kind of stuff because I really don’t know why they acting how they act. Maybe they just going off what everybody else saying.

View this post on Instagram

AllHipHop: Birdman shouted you out during Verzuz and the energy felt weird to some fans. (He called Turk a ‘lil b##tch.)

Turk: It wasn’t no energy to me. That’s how we talk in New Orleans. Shout out to that Turk. I look at it like they realized it was an epic fail without me and Wayne. No Limit came and gave the fans what the fans wanted. We don’t always have to agree but we can agree to disagree and keep it moving. I’m a grown man. I’m trying to take care of my family. It ain’t personal.

AllHipHop: What would you like to see happen moving forward?

Turk: I tried everything I wanted to happen. I was politicking for Hot Boys and it manifested. We had successful sellout dates. Then we went on a tour outside of Wayne and it wasn’t so successful. Even with Wayne and Live Nation, his contract said he only doing it if it’s everybody. Wayne the bigger artist and he humbled himself like we got history, these my brothers, let’s get the bag. He did that. Then the rest of them act how they act and try to put it on me like it’s me against all y’all. That’s for somebody who don’t know no better. Ten dates turned into less, dates getting canceled. I’m not on that tour no more. I don’t even think it’s going to be a tour.

AllHipHop: That’s a lot of money left on the table.

Turk: All money ain’t good money. I’m my brand. I’mma make money with you, I’mma make money without you telling the same story. My money don’t stop. The world so big. I’m out the hole. I see the hole with the W. So I’m always going to get the W to make a hole, W H O L E.

AllHipHop: You mentioned legal action, can you speak on it?

Turk: It was very successful. Things that should be talked about is talked about and things that shouldn’t, it is what it is. I let the world see me happy.

AllHipHop: It seems like B.G. and Birdman have the main issue with you. Juvenile even reacted after your Drink Champs interview.

Turk: They got to answer that. I still don’t know why Juvie did that. When I went on Drink Champs I made sure I didn’t drink so I spoke clearly. I didn’t disrespect none of them. It was to get clarity. But it seem like the more respectful I be, people think it’s time to disrespect. Disrespect won’t be tolerated. I’m a man before anything. I can’t even call it the past because I’m always reminded when they do interviews and try to pass over me intentionally. How you going to speak Hot Boys without Turk? How you going to say Cash Money of that era without Turk? That’s intentional. That childish. I wish them the best but if you tell a lie on me, I’mma tell the truth. Telling the truth ain’t hating.

AllHipHop: As a fan, it felt like a void without you and Wayne at Verzuz.

Turk: Definitely did. You can’t mess with me when you want to mess with me. You mess with the fans when you want to mess with them. Prior to that I already knew I wasn’t going to be on it because Baby ain’t the one funding that. The money came from wherever it came from. They made a decision. Business is business. I ain’t pointing fingers. Any promoter trying to book me, you don’t have to go through none of them. I got my own team and administration. Like we did the situation with Wayne, no problem, sellout. That’s what you’ll get. I’m not going to mess up nothing. That childish. Don’t get mad because I’m telling my story. Don’t get mad I’m doing podcasts and live streaming. Now they doing the same thing five minutes later and trying to leave me out intentionally.

AllHipHop: Are you done with reuniting?

Turk: I’m always open-minded, but I’m not advocating for no Hot Boy reunion. That ain’t first on my platter. I’m making love, make money. I’m into content. I got business outside music. Turk-N-Rescue, I go to recovering drug addicts, because I used to be on heroin and cocaine and I’m giving them my story, trying to save a life. Speaking to kids. I didn’t grow up. I’m not no little boy no more. You can’t control me. We can work together but you can’t work me.

AllHipHop: You said you were addicted to heroin. How did you kick it?

Turk: I tried everything. Cheating probation, drinking bleach to clear p### tests, damn near killing myself. Rehabs, 28-day, six-month programs. Spending money. None of that worked. I OD’d January 2004. Three days after I OD’d I got on my knees and prayed, told God the only way I would stop is if it got life-threatening.

Three days later police kicked in my door. SWAT shot 52 times. I didn’t get hit but I got charged with attempted murder on police. I went to prison. Eight years, eight months, 16 days on a 22-year sentence. In there I read. I found out who I really am. Relationship with God saved my life. I got to figure out what was important. I came home, did the right thing, with my wife, my family. I been clean since 2004. Over 20 years. It starts in your mind. One second at a time.

AllHipHop: What do you want to leave people with?

Turk: I don’t have malice toward them dudes. But I ain’t kissing nobody ass. Stop making insinuations and just be men. If it ain’t no problem, that’s the solution. Reputation is the cornerstone of power. You can’t ruin my reputation by being in your feelings about something that ain’t nothing. I ain’t took no money from you. I ain’t took no life from you. It shouldn’t be no problem. If you tell a lie on me, I’mma tell the truth. Every time.

DMX Family Reveals Dark Truth Behind Hip-Hop Legend’s Struggles in New Documentary

Tashera Simmons and her four children expose the painful reality of living with DMX, one of Hip-Hop’s most well-known superstars.

In the latest episode of X vs. Earl: The Simmons Family Speaks, his children described Earl’s descent into paranoia and drug abuse.

The children share memories that paint a complex picture of their father. Tacoma Simmons remembers quad riding in Arizona when he scraped his knee.

“You would think he’d be like, ‘Oh, get up.’ But he picks me up on his shoulder and we just just ride it out the whole time,” he said about one of his favorite memories with DMX.

But those tender moments became overshadowed by Earl’s transformation into X.

“He would walk around with a machine gun or a gun in front of the nannies was something that he didn’t really do. He would see things like he said a helicopter was one time looking at him,” Tashera explained about her ex-husband’s deteriorating mental state.

Sean Simmons, another son, witnessed his father’s violent episodes firsthand. The documentary reveals how DMX accidentally shot his own uncle in a hotel lobby during a paranoid episode.

“He pulled the trigger, but because it was so muffled, we couldn’t hear it. He shot his uncle in the foot. He fell to the floor. We see blood everywhere,” Tashera recounted.

The documentary series provides unprecedented access to the Simmons family’s perspective on living with a Hip-Hop legend whose personal demons often overshadowed his artistic genius.

Exclusive: T.I. Records New Diss Track Aimed at 50 Cent, Release Expected Today

I’ve got an exclusive. T.I. is dropping a new diss track today.

Let’s clear something up first. Yesterday, a song was released from T.I.’s official account that many people assumed was aimed at 50 Cent. It wasn’t. Despite the speculation, that record was not the lyrical shot people thought it was.

View this post on Instagram

But this one? This one is different. Trust me on this!

I’m told a brand-new track was recorded this morning, and it is absolutely directed at 50. T.I. is not letting this situation slide without addressing it the way Hip-Hop was built to handle conflict. With bars. But, 50 is 50 and below the belt is where he hits. He posted this today.

View this post on Instagram

Now, we’ve all acknowledged that 50 Cent has historically been selective when it comes to engaging in traditional lyrical battles. He is known more for psychological warfare and social media tactics than back-and-forth diss records. But it is refreshing to see T.I. stepping into the booth and choosing to respond through music.

That is the essence of Hip-Hop.

T.I., long known as the self-proclaimed King of the South, has a track record of handling conflict on wax. From early street-oriented battles in Atlanta to mainstream clashes during his Grand Hustle rise, he has never shied away from lyrical exchanges. This is a veteran who understands how to spar without letting things spiral into chaos.

I feel that.

We are in a time when beef can quickly move beyond music. Social media escalates everything. I know these dudes are millionaires many times over but lines still get crossed. So if this unfolds strictly in the booth, that is a win for the culture.

Bottom line: T.I. recorded a diss record this morning. It is coming. And if history tells us anything, he is not playing around when it comes to pen and pad. It helps to have an album on the way too.

Stay tuned.

Ray J Back On Cops Radar After Weekend Domestic Violence Call

Ray J finds himself back in legal trouble after Los Angeles police responded to another domestic violence call at his residence over the weekend.

The singer and entrepreneur continues battling serious health issues while facing mounting legal challenges that could impact his already fragile condition.

Law enforcement sources confirmed to TMZ that LAPD officers received a battery domestic violence report around 2 A.M. Saturday at Ray J’s Los Angeles area home.

The alleged suspect was described as a 30-year-old Persian female wearing yellow clothing, identified as an ex-partner of the entertainer.

Officers arrived at the scene to investigate the reported incident, but both parties involved refused to cooperate with police questioning.

Without a willing victim or witness testimony, authorities were unable to proceed with the investigation and ultimately cleared the scene without making arrests or filing a police report.

The identity of the person who initially contacted police remains unclear, and investigators have not disclosed what specific events prompted the domestic violence call to Ray J’s residence.

This latest incident adds to Ray J’s growing legal troubles following his November arrest for allegedly threatening Princess Love with a firearm during a livestreamed argument.

The singer was booked on criminal threat charges after video footage appeared to show him pointing a gun at his estranged wife while she held their children.

Ray J faces six misdemeanor charges stemming from the Thanksgiving Day incident, including making criminal threats and domestic violence-related offenses.

Princess Love initially obtained a protective order against him, preventing him from contacting their two children during the holiday season.

However, the legal landscape shifted dramatically in January when Princess Love amended the protective order after Ray J revealed his dire health prognosis.

Court appearances in late January showed the former couple to be more cordial, with Princess Love allowing supervised visits with their children after learning of his medical condition.

The singer’s health crisis has become increasingly public as he battles what doctors describe as severe heart failure.

Ray J revealed that years of substance abuse have left his heart functioning at only 25% capacity, with medical professionals giving him a grim prognosis for survival beyond 2027.

“I was doing like four or five bottles a day, 10 Addies, f##### my heart up on the right side right here. It’s like black, it’s like done,” Ray J explained in a recent video, describing how prescription drug abuse damaged his cardiovascular system.

The entertainer’s health struggles became dramatically visible during a Valentine’s Day concert in Shreveport, where he performed with what appeared to be blood streaming from his eyes.

The disturbing performance showed Ray J continuing to sing and dance despite the apparent medical emergency, with a visible heart monitoring device attached to his chest.

During that same Shreveport performance, Ray J claims a fan stole his heart monitor when he jumped into the crowd, prompting him to offer a cash reward for its return.

The medical device is crucial for monitoring his severely compromised heart condition, making its theft particularly concerning, given his fragile health status.

The timing of this new domestic violence investigation could not be worse for Ray J’s already precarious health situation.

Doctors have prescribed eight different medications to manage his heart issues and are considering implanting a defibrillator to regulate his irregular heartbeat.

The additional stress from police investigations and potential legal proceedings will undoubtedly complicate his medical treatment and recovery prospects.

Sinners Tourette N-Word Controversy Deepens With Second Incident

The controversy surrounding Tourette’s syndrome campaigner John Davidson’s involuntary outbursts at Sunday’s BAFTA Film Awards has expanded beyond the initial incident involving Sinners stars Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo.

Hannah Beachler, the Oscar-winning production designer who became the first African American to win an Academy Award for Production Design in 2018 for Black Panther, revealed that Davidson also directed the racial slur at her during the ceremony.

Writing on social media platform X, Beachler said the situation occurred three times that night, with one instance targeting her personally as she headed to dinner after the show.

“I keep trying to write about what happened at the BAFTAs, and I can’t find the words. The situation is almost impossible, but it happened 3 times that night, and one of the three times was directed at myself on the way to dinner after the show,” she said. “And a third time at a Black woman. I understand and deeply know why this is an impossible situation. I know we must handle this with grace and continue to push through. But what made the situation worse was the throw away apology of ‘if you were offended.'”

The incident has drawn criticism from multiple entertainment industry figures, including Jamie Foxx, who called Davidson’s outbursts “unacceptable” despite acknowledging the neurological nature of Tourette’s syndrome.

Wendell Pierce echoed similar sentiments, arguing that direct apologies to Jordan and Lindo should have taken priority over explanations about the medical condition.

Davidson attended the ceremony as the subject of the nominated film I Swear, which chronicles his life story and struggle with Tourette’s syndrome.

The biographical drama stars Robert Aramayo as Davidson and depicts his younger years in Glasgow when he first received his diagnosis at age 15.

The BBC later removed the ceremony from its iPlayer streaming service after initially airing it on a two-hour delay.

Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch criticized the broadcaster’s handling of the situation, calling it “a horrible mistake” and questioning why the offensive language wasn’t censored during the delayed broadcast.

Beachler criticized what she described as a “throwaway” apology from the show’s producers, writing that, while she acknowledged the situation’s impossible nature, the response failed to adequately address the harm caused.

She emphasized that despite the involuntary nature of Davidson’s condition, the impact on those targeted by the slurs remained significant.

Tourette’s syndrome affects roughly one in 100 children, according to NHS England, characterized by involuntary movements and sounds called tics.

The condition includes both physical actions, such as blinking and facial movements, as well as vocal tics ranging from throat-clearing to involuntary swearing, known as coprolalia.

These tics typically begin in childhood and cannot be suppressed at will, particularly during stressful situations like live television broadcasts.

Davidson was previously awarded an MBE for his advocacy work raising awareness about Tourette’s syndrome.

He recalled that during his visit to receive the honor, aside from involuntarily swearing at the Queen, he experienced compulsions to tell police officers at Holyrood Palace that he had “a bomb” as they routinely checked his vehicle.

Claressa Shields Celebrates Championship Win With Boosie and Papoose in Detroit

Detroit was lit last night.

Fresh off another dominant performance in the ring, Claressa Shields hit the club to celebrate, and she did not come alone. Lil Boosie, aka ball-out Boosie Badazz, was in the building. So was her boyfriend and potential future husband, Papoose. The energy went straight from the arena to the afterparty.

Shields had plenty to celebrate. The multi-division world champion once again showed why she is widely considered one of the greatest female boxers of all time. She’s the G.W.O.A.T.! Her dominance was clear, and the crowd felt it. She looked like she wanted to knock ol’ girls head off. I’m thinking with 3-minute rounds, she’s knocking her out. Pap earned praise for bringing Hip-Hop energy to fight night. His presence was felt both in The Ring and outside of it. Claressa gave him a big hug and kiss right in the ring.

There is also quiet chatter about his relationship with promoter Dmitry Salita, the former professional boxer who now guides much of Shields’ career through Salita Promotions. Whether that connection is strictly business or something deeper remains to be seen, but it is clear Papoose has become part of the overall presentation.

After the gloves came off, Shields jumped on Instagram Live. Thousands tuned in and the vibes were high. At times the camera work was shaky, and it looked like she was fully in celebration mode. Honestly, she probably should have handed the phone to someone else and just enjoyed the moment. Just let the champion soak it all in.

She seemed especially excited to have Boosie and Papoose by her side. The crossover between boxing and Hip-Hop felt organic.

And let’s not forget, the intensity of fight night spilled over at moments. There were reports of tension outside The Ring earlier in the evening. That only adds to the narrative of how emotionally charged the entire night was.

Shields continues to carry Detroit on her back. Boosie brought Southern fire. Papoose stood firmly in support. It was celebration, culture and championship energy all wrapped into one night.

Nicki Minaj X Account Using Bots, Fake Accounts To Amplify MAGA Views According To Study

Nicki Minaj may not have the broad support her social media implies, after her political posts on X drew a coordinated wave of fake accounts.

The bots inflated praise and amplified her support for conservative causes, according to a new forensic analysis released Monday.

A 24-page report by Israeli disinformation detection firm Cyabra shared with Politico found that 33% of the profiles engaging with Minaj’s political content between November 11 and December 28, 2025, were fake.

The company reviewed 55,469 accounts and identified 18,784 as inauthentic, generating 31,701 comments and 59,001 total engagements, including likes and replies.

Cyabra concluded that the activity was not random.

“Based on the scale, concentration, and behavioral alignment of the inauthentic activity identified, Cyabra assesses with high confidence that a coordinated fake campaign was actively amplifying political content on Nicki Minaj’s X account during the period reviewed,” the report states.

The findings arrive as Nicki Minaj has shifted sharply into political commentary, posting about the persecution of Christians in Nigeria, opposing gender transition for children and criticizing Democratic leaders, including California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

She also expressed support for former President Donald Trump and Sen. JD Vance, and appeared at events linked to Turning Point USA, according to the report’s timeline.

Cyabra said this marked a break from her earlier online posture.

“The sharp and rapid nature of this ideological shift represents a clear departure from her prior discourse, indicating a significant and sudden change in political orientation,” the report notes.

The firm found that fake accounts did more than boost vanity metrics. On December 26, inauthentic profiles accounted for 56% of all comments on Minaj’s political posts, effectively dominating the conversation that day.

The accounts posted in tight two- to three-hour bursts, reused identical keywords and emojis and presented themselves largely as users aged 25 to 34 to appear credible.

Cyabra wrote that the campaign relied on a “network-based amplification technique,” in which fake profiles followed, liked, and replied to one another to create self-reinforcing engagement loops.

Supportive comments were often brief and repetitive, filled with praise rather than substantive debate. The goal, the report said, was to “manufacture the appearance of broad public endorsement and a supportive fan base.”

The stakes extend beyond celebrity image management. Social media scholars have warned that coordinated bot networks can distort public perception by making fringe or polarizing views appear mainstream.

When a celebrity with tens of millions of followers adopts pointed positions on religion, gender policy and partisan politics, artificial amplification can widen their reach and potentially sway undecided voters who interpret high engagement as proof of broad support.

Cyabra, founded in 2018, uses artificial intelligence and network analysis to detect coordinated inauthentic behavior across social platforms.

The company says it works with governments, brands and public figures to identify disinformation campaigns and bot activity. Its methodology in this case combined behavioral analysis, linguistic pattern tracking and network mapping of engagement clusters.

In its closing, the firm wrote: “Cyabra identified a coordinated fake campaign actively amplifying Nicki Minaj’s political content on X, exhibiting clear indicators of deliberate engagement manipulation.”

Nicki Minaj faced scrutiny after a forensic study said thousands of bogus accounts inflated reactions to her partisan messages online.

‘I got harassed’: New York man records himself being fired for taking break in an ‘unauthorized area.’ Now viewers think he should sue

A hydrogen energy company terminated Cody Pinkins (@official_cjpinkins), a Rochester, New York, tech professional, for taking breaks in the wrong room. Now, he’s threatening to take the matter to court.

In a viral video, Pinkins is filming himself inside his truck and takes a call from his boss at Plug Power, a company that deals in hydrogen fuel cells and electrolyzer systems. The boss, who identified himself as Ken, asked Pinkins, “Just let me kinda get through this, please.”

Ken then informed Pinkins of his termination and the reason.

“On Wednesday, 1/28/2026, you had an incident where you were taking a break in an unauthorized area, in the conference room,” he said over the phone. “After repeated reminders not to do this, as I’ve communicated multiple times before and then again on that date as well, you violated multiple policies, and your behavior and actions were inappropriate for the workplace. As a result, Cody, your employment with Plug Power is terminated effective immediately.”

Then a woman, likely from human resources, tells Pinkins that the company will send his personal belongings.

Pinkins responded, “So, even though I had permission to be in that room from Anthony, and I got harassed, and I told Ken several times I was getting harassed, I guess that’s OK? That’s the route we’re gonna take?”

Ken tells him, “Cody, I wish you the best of luck in the future.”

Pinkins, before hanging up, added, “That’s the route we’re gonna take? I’ll see y’all in court.”

Commenters React to Former Plug Power Worker’s Firing

A relevant comment from a former supervisor raised an important question.

“As a supervisor for six years, I can say this professionally: if the employee handbook clearly identifies the designated break area and its location, that is the ONLY approved space for breaks,” she wrote. “Even if someone gives permission to use a different room, it does NOT override company policy. That room is not authorized for breaks, and after multiple warnings, continued violations can result in termination … You will not [win] this in court.”

Pinkins will likely position his argument on whether there is a fully documented explanation of what constitutes a break area. However, Pinkins laughed this idea off, suggesting there likely was no explicit documentation.

Pinkins has another video, posted before his termination, where he runs down a situation that had just occurred while sitting in the conference room. He claimed that a person who “never works” and was not his supervisor came in and said he didn’t want people eating in that room, as he had said before. Pinkins held his tongue but told viewers he wasn’t the only one who ate in the room and that he didn’t care that the supervisor was in a position of authority.

Does He Have a Case?

On its face, Pinkins faces a fairly steep climb. New York is an at-will employment state, which means Plug Power doesn’t need a good reason to fire him. They just need a legal one. The stated reason (insubordination, repeated policy violations) is legally and easily defensible.

His strongest potential claim includes a retaliation angle. During the call, Pinkins stated he reported harassment to Ken multiple times. If he retained documentation of harassment complaints, such as emails, texts, HR filings, and witness statements, it would strengthen his case.

If he can show that his termination followed the reporting of his harassment rather than being genuinely about the conference room, he could argue for a claim of retaliatory discharge. Under New York Human Rights Law and federal protections, employers cannot legally terminate workers for reporting workplace harassment.

A person in the comments section asked, “Do they have a paper trail or documentation stating this?” Pinkins replied, “Not one piece.” This leaves Plug Power in an interesting spot: if Ken, presumably his boss, didn’t write a report, termination could be seen as retaliatory.

Further, Pinkins must prove that a supervisor named Anthony gave him permission to use the conference room. If Anthony were willing to confirm that permission, it would somewhat undercut the insubordination rationale. It might also help that Plug Power does not have a sparkling workplace record.

If he’s got his documentation in order, then a meeting with an employment attorney could be a good idea. If not, he could even have a struggle with unemployment, depending on whether Plug Power really wanted to needle him.

AllHipHop has reached out to Pinkins via TikTok direct message and to Plug Power via email. We will update the story upon response.

@official_cjpinkins This ladies and gentlemen is the man I did not want to mention in the last video, but here we go. Today I got a call from my Manager Kenneth Saunders and was told I was being let go. Even after being falsely accused and never getting to tell my side of the story, I was terminated. Part 3 coming in the near future. #PlugPowerChronicles #fyp #EEOC #GodisGood ♬ original sound – CJ Pinkins
