DMX is one of the illest rappers ever. I never quite understood why he wasn’t at the top of more “best of” or “top 5” lists. Joe Budden knew though. The NJ-bred rapper recently explained that he once tried to battle X on the set of the classic 1998 movie Belly. WHAT!?! Right on the set?
On the Flip Da Script Podcast, he gave the deets on how he tried to battle X. Apparently, they shot the movie, in part, right in front of his mother’s house in New Jersey. And a young Budden couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
“It was me just rapping, but he was supposed to rap. This was on — they shot Belly outside of my mom’s building, which was Jersey City. So I caught DMX on one of them nights, but he had to go shoot a scene,” he said.
After failing to get at the dog, Swizz Beatz tried to make a group of him, Cassidy and Drag-on! I don’t know if that would have happen.

You must be equipped with coping mechanisms and the ability to overcome obstacles if you want to succeed in life. Because life’s trajectory is uncertain, decisions must be made in order to face challenges. Everyone has challenges in life, but how you react to and overcome them is what matters.
In the music business, which is known for its harsh competition, millions of people are vying for the opportunity to have their talents recognized. Despite their dispute, the musician Ben Corry is well known for his love of music. If you want to succeed in life, you must be willing to develop coping mechanisms and overcome obstacles.
He is an artist by makes his own personality and emotional songwriting process the focal point of his work. The three adjectives “honest,” “fun,” and “electric” best describe the music of the artist we’ll be talking about today.
Ben Corry was born in Santa Barbara and now calls Los Angeles home. He became interested in music as a result of my intense enthusiasm for it, which he was unable to ignore. He made the decision to follow his passion and start making music after being an avid consumer of it.
Ben Corry is committed to honing his craft in a factual matter; that way, he can promote a platform that’s honest and open toward his fans. His music takes listeners on a profound journey of reflection, confidence, and heartfelt lyricism.
“It’s an amazing feeling as an artist to be able to produce without delay,” he adds. “The smoother something goes, the better it feels, and right now, I’m feeling terrific.”
Even though Ben Corry is on the come-up, he has accomplished far more than other artists in his field. From being self-taught to appreciating the need for teamwork and seizing opportunities by the moment, he has established a more significant online presence and shows no indications of slowing down.
Ben Corry’s music aims to provide listeners with an escape through listening. It may be so wonderful to just get away for a moment when life gets a bit stressful.
From a small town, he had a dream of becoming an artist. We are all aware of the ferocious nature of his industry. A person’s perseverance, manifestation, and original creation might do wonders for them, but they rarely receive attention. In a matter of seconds, the entire world will be aware of him, proving the correlation between perseverance and good fortune.
Ben Corry acknowledges that while he is diligent, imaginative, and a talented artist, it is his diligence and enthusiasm that have carried him through.
It’s gonna be really important that fools don’t win as we approach some key elections. I know, this election stuff doesn’t seem to change much, but that’s another story.
I get it people do not like Joe Biden the way we liked Barack Obama. But we have got to get on some kind of a code as it relates to the information we transfer. People are spreading some of the worst crap on these major social media platforms and they are not being responsible.
We all love Snoop Dogg. I will say it again we all love Snoop Dogg. However, that does not stop a recent post of his from being grossly irresponsible and negligent as a trusted source in the community. Recently, Snoop Dogg and several others who will remain nameless because they are not as important, posted something as if Joe Biden is about to drop a new 1994 Crime Bill.
Before I continue, this is not an attempt to let Buddy Biden off the hook for that noxious, notorious bill. At the time, he said:
“We have predators on our streets that society has in fact, in part because of its neglect, created,” said Biden, then a fourth-term senator from Delaware so committed to the bill that he has referred to it over the years as “the Biden bill.”
“They are beyond the pale many of those people, beyond the pale,” Biden continued. “And it’s a sad commentary on society. We have no choice but to take them out of society.”
In the speech, Biden described a “cadre of young people, tens of thousands of them, born out of wedlock, without parents, without supervision, without any structure, without any conscience developing because they literally … because they literally have not been socialized, they literally have not had an opportunity.” He said, “we should focus on them now” because “if we don’t, they will, or a portion of them, will become the predators 15 years from now.”
Now, you may not like Joe Biden or you may even consider him a racist, but that does not mean that there is accuracy in this meme. This stupid meme that I saw it on so many pages, is riddled with spelling errors and grammatical errors as well. It’s ridiculous! I don’t know why someone would repost something that looks so dumb on their social media. And, if you are going to post something like this and I would imagine you would do your own due diligence in looking at the facts of the meme.
And then maybe, just maybe, you would actually clean it up, re-post it and then present something in the caption. But that’s not what’s happening. People are actually taking this stupid post and posting it exactly how some idiot created it.
So, a young lady named Reecie Colbert (A politics and culture commentator, host, author, advocate, speaker, and more) refuted the whole post and in a very nice and respectful way checked Snoop Dogg. So, yes the headline is a bit of clickbait. What I don’t understand is why she had to check him at all. Why? Too many people were believing this madness.
Again, you do not have to like Joe Biden. You do not have to think he is anything helpful to Black people. What you can’t do either is be a fool to another fool that hates Joe Biden. Come on people!
We all know that life is not a bed of roses. We also know that there are times in our lives when we are more deserving than others yet are still left behind. As time marches on, we come to see that God has other plans for us, plans that will provide us with lasting enjoyment than temporary Happiness.
Artists should also be Unique on their own in order to gain attention for themselves. The Hip-hop scene has many legends who have inspired others through their music and today we will be talking about a young upcoming artist who is about to change the scene his name is “Paul Perges”. The name should be noted down as he might be dominating the industry in a few years. A young, talented artist with origins in the Philippines who lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
He is a successful recording artist with an inspiring story to tell. He is a naturally gifted musician whose individual approach is generating a stir in the music world. His remarkable effort has already left an indelible mark on the industry. Three adjectives best define Paul’s music: “Meaningful,” “Relatable,” and “Emotional.” His music makes it clear.
Paul Perges wants to make a name for himself, solely to tell his story, and hope that people connect with his life experiences. The recording artist understands that bringing himself and his voice to the forefront will need patience, networking, and dedication. He understands the challenge of being an independent artist in a fast-paced industry.
Many artists find it difficult at the beginning but it gives them the freedom to create what they want. Paul Perges worked hard to get to where he is now and It’s important for him to show his listeners what he wants to curate without any restrictions, so his success has continued to work in his favor, showing his audience that he doesn’t need the credibility of a big name to define himself or his artistry, solely raw emotion, and passion-infused into his platform is all he needs.
This year, he plans to revive the summertime pop or R&B vibes from the early 2000s, making the season truly bop. While pursuing his interest, he was given several opportunities, and playing at local performances is one of his biggest accomplishments. He was able to collaborate with Sean Love and Aqua Raps. The one artist that he really wants to work with is Justin Beiber.
Spotify listeners of Paul Perges’s creations such as “Solo cup” have surpassed 90K monthly listeners. The songs “Me and my Guitar”, “Fall in love”, “Bipolar” and “Runaway” are also worth listening to.
He is loved by his fans because he is wise beyond his years and his dedication is making him popular among the other artists in the Industry. He is grateful for whatever he has now and in the future he wants to do it for the people.
To support this young talent on his journey to stardom, listen to and share his music.
Will swiftly issued a lengthy apology for his behavior, resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), and had been laying low for the past few months.
He returned to the limelight on Friday when he posted an almost six-minute video on his YouTube channel titled “It’s been a minute…” and answered a few questions people have had about that incident.
When he explained why he didn’t apologize to Chris in his acceptance speech, Will revealed that they weren’t on speaking terms.
“It’s all fuzzy. I’ve reached out to Chris, and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk, and when he is, he will reach out,” he said. “So I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable, and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.”
Will also apologized to Chris’ family, specifically his brother Tony Rock, with whom he “had a great relationship.” Acknowledging that their friendship is “probably irreparable,” Will admitted that he “wasn’t thinking” in the heat of the moment and has repeatedly spent the past three months replaying the slap in his head.
“There is no part of me that thinks that was the right way to behave in that moment,” he assured viewers. “There’s no part of me that thinks that’s the optimal way to handle a feeling of disrespect or insults.”
The 53-year-old went on to insist Jada “had nothing to do” with the slap and apologized to her and their family for “the heat I brought on all of us.”
He also apologized to his fellow nominees, saying it “really breaks my heart to have stolen and tarnished your moment.”
He specifically named Questlove, who accepted his Best Documentary award straight after the slap and added, “I’m sorry really isn’t sufficient.”
Will closed the video by addressing those who felt let down by his behavior.
He confessed he feels “deeply remorseful” for his actions but is “trying not to think of myself as a p############.”
“I know it was confusing, I know it was shocking, but I promise you I am deeply devoted and committed to putting light and love and joy into the world, and if you hang on, I promise we’ll be able to be friends again,” he vowed.
If you want to achieve in life, you must be prepared to build coping skills and get through challenges. The course of life is unpredictable, and you must make choices to overcome obstacles. Everybody has obstacles in life, but what counts is how you respond to and get through them.
There are millions of individuals competing for the chance to have their abilities acknowledged in the music industry, which is notorious for its fierce rivalry. The artist Spence Mcmanus is highly renowned for his passion for music notwithstanding their disagreement. You must be prepared to build coping skills and get over challenges if you want to achieve in life.
By placing his own personality and emotional songwriting process front and center, Spence Mcmanus is an artist who pushes the envelope.
“I’m proud that I’ve been able to make it this far and stay true to myself and my morals at the same time,” Spence states while explaining his journey to where he is now.
Spence Mcmanus got into music when he was inspired by his roommates making music at the University of Tampa. A spark was lit in his eyes and his soul which told him that he was born to do this.
Being an Independent artist is difficult as an artist has to enter this fierceful entertainment world all by himself and without any platform. There is no limit to where Spence can go in his musical journey. Every day is a blessing as Spence is living his dream.
Spence music creation consists of only two principles, which are to create a beat according to the mood and just let it flow. He spits some heavy bars which are as sharp as a sword.
The work does not go as planned. When we asked Spence about this, he quoted, “Wins and losses are part of being bosses. You can’t expect everything to come your way every time. However, when you take a loss you get back up and take another swing. That’s how you get better.” This can help the young artist to cope with frustration while doing work.
With his top-charting hits, Spence Mcmanus has captured our interest, and we would appreciate it if the public checked out his work as well.
After a few years of working in the music industry, Spence Mcmanus honed and polished his trend-setting approach. He is now able to convert his feelings and perceptiveness into sensations that his admirers find appealing.

R. Kelly’s self-described manager, Donnell Russell, pleaded guilty to stalking earlier this week.
The man who claims to have advised R. Kelly entered a guilty plea on July 26th to an interstate stalking charge, Associated Press reports.
Appearing in Brooklyn federal court on Tuesday, Russell was accused of using threats, harassment, and intimidation to silence one of the singer’s sexual abuse victims.
R. Kelly was convicted in 2021 of sex trafficking and racketeering, and was sentenced last month to 30 years in prison.
U.S. Attorney Breon Peace claimed Russell sent threatening text messages to one of the victims and her mother and later shared explicit photos of the victim on the internet.
Prosecutors said Russell’s harassment campaign against the victim lasted from November 2018 through to February 2020, after the woman filed a civil lawsuit against Kelly.
He is scheduled for sentencing on 17 November, when he could face up to five years in prison.
Jazmine Sullivan has warmed up for Lollapalooza with an exclusive performance in Chicago.
The two-time Grammy Award winner played a sparkling set to an invited audience at the city’s Kimpton Gray Hotel on Wednesday, ahead of her debut appearance at the 2022 Lollapalooza Festival.
Dazzling in a hot pink Sandro shirt and Stuart Weitzman heels, Jazmine Sullivan set the room alight with a performance of her top-charting songs, including Bust Your Windows and Insecure.
Speaking ahead of the gig, the “Pick Up Your Feelings” hitmaker revealed it has been hot off stage too.
In a bid to protect her vocal cords, the 35-year-old keeps the aircon off – something she admitted doesn’t always go down well with her hairstylists and make-up artists.
“I keep it hot, but mostly because I sing and I kind of keep it warmer for my voice, so my vocal cords don’t dry out. I keep it like 75°F (24°C) or a little over. I like it warm!” Jazmine Sullivan smiled. “My glam team gets mad at me because I keep it a little too warm, and they’re sweating.”
Jazmine’s other travel must-haves include a kit of Aesop hand soap and bath products as well as eucalyptus-scented candles.
“I love the eucalyptus smell. I always have candles on at home, so it reminds me of that and also creates an inviting/cozy environment,” the singer-songwriter noted.
Jazmine also shared that she has been invited to curate her own suite at the Kimpton Gray Hotel by IHG Hotels & Resorts.
One lucky IHG rewards member will be enjoying a luxurious five-night stay in a suite that features all of Jazmine’s travel essentials, from calming scents to vegan snacks and immune-strengthening juices.
“Travelling is naturally a big part of my life, both for work and to experience new things,” she continued. “When I’m on the road, my hotel room is my sanctuary and a space of rejuvenation. I rely on a space that feels both comforting and creative to recharge. That’s why I was so drawn to collaborate with IHG Hotels & Resorts to bring my favorite parts of traveling to life through my own curated suite. From the calming scents we brought into the room to what’s stocked in the mini-fridge, this suite is a little part of me that I’m so excited to share.”
Bun B’s new Trill Burgers is celebrating now that it has been named the nation’s best hamburger in Good Morning America’s “Best in America” competition.
The rapper’s brand, which opened as a series of pop-up shops in 2021, competed in the “United States of Burgers” competition with the saucy OG Trill Burger.
Bun discussed his journey to GMA, saying, “It’s great for me to have a good passion to put behind purpose. For years, rap music and recording was my passion, but now I’m looking to transition into different things. Food is the perfect place for me.”
“These burgers are the perfect way for me to come into the culinary industry, and I can’t wait for the world to have a Trill Burger,” he continued.
Bun B, one of the members of the pioneering Southern Hip-Hop group UGK, went head-to-head with Burger-Chan, another Houston hometown hero, but ultimately the rapper’s Trill OG Burger came out on top.
The rapper walked away with the Golden Burger Trophy and a $10,000 check.
“When @BunB, @NickScurfield, and I spoke about creating a burger concept last year. We had no idea where this journey would take us. Wanting to bring something new to Houston. And excitement to the community….can imagine what we’re setting ourselves up for next??? We’ll have to see,” Andy Nguyen said on IG.
When they launched, their goal was to rock the market, and it seems like they have hit the mark.

“This project is the future of movie-making,” says Quavo. “It gets fans involved at the onset of Takeover World, the opportunity to own a piece of a new franchise and the ability to influence and be part of how an action feature gets made.”
Takeover World’s Sauce Club NFTs holders will be able to play a first-of-its-kind card collecting and trading game based on the characters from the Takeover universe. The first of four NFT card collections will drop in September.

Quavo Continues To Drop Music As He Moves Into Movies
“Takeover World is just our initial foray into the Web3 space, where entertainment intersects with crypto, and we plan to expand our capabilities exponentially,” says L.C. Crowley, CEO/co-founder of Trioscope. “We’re encouraging fans to get in the driver seat with us from the jump to help build the world and shape the story with us.”
Trioscope partnered with Bandwagon to advise and develop the project’s technology. Bandwagon CEO Harold Hughes adds, “As an avid moviegoer, I always wished that I could be more involved in the stories of some of my favorite films. This project is doing just that as we’re empowering viewers and enthusiasts to contribute directly to the movie while creating a community around the content.”
Additionally, Quavo continues to release new music as he takes further steps into the filmmaking world. The 31-year-old Atlanta native teamed up with his Migos colleague Takeoff for the “Us Vs Them” single featuring Gucci Mane.
As an actor, Quavo has appeared in the television/streaming series Atlanta, Black-ish, and Narcos: Mexico. Randall Emmett will also direct the “Workin Me” performer in Wash Me In The River. That movie’s cast includes Robert De Niro, John Malkovich, and Jack Huston as well.
Damn. Will Smith is STILL in a low place. The world has moved on, but they are still dealing with it. Will Smith is still one of the biggest stars of our day and he seems to be toiling over it. This video is part of his march back to the front. He’ll be ok. Chris Rock is out there killing it with Dave and Kevin Hart.
So here, Will takes some time to answer questions about the infamous slap of Chris Rock at the Oscars.
Why didn’t you apologize to Chris in your acceptance speech?
After Jada rolled her eyes, did she tell you to do something?
What would you say to the people who looked up to you before the slap or people who expressed that you let them down?
“I’m trying to be remorseful without being ashamed of myself,” he says in the video. I think this is telling. “I am deeply devoted and committed putting light and love and joy into the world, and if you hang on, I promise that we’ll be friends again.”
This isn’t a rumor, but I think its pretty cool stuff for Will to just let use know that he’s doing his part of getting better. He did an amazing job of not disappointing us for like 30+ years! Other people screw up ever day and we give them a pass! I am not saying Will deserves a “pass,” but he should be allowed to live on. I think he will be ok!
Addressing offensive language and imagery is a major topic of conversation in modern-day America. Hip Hop recording artist Tyga is the latest celebrity to deal with backlash for what some people see as objectionable content.
On July 8, Tyga released the official music video for his new “Ay Caramba” single. The visuals have amassed more than 4 million views on YouTube, but some critics called a foul on the clip.
For example, the American Cholo podcast claimed the “Ay Caramba” video, not the actual song, perpetuates Mexican stereotypes. Others outright called Tyga’s artistic take on Latin culture racist.
L.A. Leakers hosts Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk brought Tyga and the American Cholo‘s Gill together to discuss the matter. The Power 106 segment included Tyga offering a mea culpa to the Mexican community.

Tyga Says He Did Not Intend To Offend Anyone
“When I dropped the video, I wasn’t in L.A. I was in Europe,” said Tyga. “Then I started seeing a lot of people offended by it and I was kind of confused, so that’s why I didn’t respond. I took time.”
The 32-year-old Californian continued, “I didn’t comment on anything, I didn’t like any posts. I kind of like tried to do my research a little bit. I tried to ask a lot of my friends that I grew up with that were Mexican.”
T-Raww went on to say that he has recorded Latin songs in the past as a way to pay homage to his Mexican-American childhood friends. Tyga also explained that he did not intend to offend anyone with his “Ay Caramba” video.
“I want to apologize to the Mexican community and my fans that are Mexican. I have a lot of Latin fans that are Puerto Rican or Dominican that probably weren’t offended by this video. But, my Mexican fans in L.A., there definitely was some that were offended,” stated Tyga.
Beginning next month, Netflix will begin streaming new episodes of Untold. The upcoming edition of the sports-based documentary series centers around the AND1 Mixtape Tour.
Netflix is releasing Untold: The Rise and Fall of AND1 over a four-week period. The forthcoming program will focus on how underground streetball players became international stars before that spotlight dimmed over time.
Legendary streetballers Rafer “Skip 2 My Lou” Alston, Philip “Hot Sauce” Champion, Grayson “The Professor” Boucher, Waliyy “Main Event” Dixon, Shane “The Dribble Machine” Woney, and others use Untold to reflect on their experience on the Mixtape Tour.
An official trailer for Untold: The Rise and Fall of AND1 arrived on Netflix’s YouTube channel this week. In the 101-second teaser, several of the former high-profile ballers hinted at issues over money being the cause of the brand’s downfall.
AND1 Eventually Made Its Way To The ESPN Network
Seth Berger, Jay Coen Gilbert, and Tom Austin founded AND1 as a streetwear clothing business in 1993. Three years later, Rucker Park legend Stephon Marbury became the company’s first NBA ambassador.
Near the end of the ’90s decade, AND1 began to gain widespread popularity as a basketball entity. The AND1 Mixtape Vol. 1, featuring Rafer “Skip 2 My Lou” Alston, supposedly sold over 100,000 copies by the end of 1999.
The success of “The Skip Tape” and other mixtapes led to the streetballers traveling across the country. By 2002, the summer tour became the AND1 Mixtape Tour. The ESPN cable network eventually began airing highlights from the games as Streetball.
Netflix’s Untold: The Rise and Fall of AND1 will premiere on August 23 at 3 am ET. The final four installments will debut on the streaming platform on August 23, August 30, and September 6. Previous editions of Untold include Malice at the Palace, Crimes & Penalties, Breaking Point, Deal with the Devil, and Caitlyn Jenner.
Recording artist/record executive Percy “Master P” Miller and the No Limit Soldiers became one of the most dominant forces in Hip Hop during the late 1990s. According to Bobby Shmurda, Massachusetts emcee Joyner Lucas is from the same business-minded lineage as Master P.
Brooklyn’s Bobby Shmurda made an appearance on The Party Starters podcast last week. A clip from that episode of Shmurda putting over Joyner Lucas as a financially successful indie artist made the rounds on social media.
“Why the f### don’t n##### talk about him?” asked Bobby Shmurda about Joyner Lucas. “He can sit in his house and actually make a quarter-million [dollars] a month off his s### that he’s putting out.”
Bobby Shmurda added, “You got n##### like Joyner Lucas, n##### don’t talk about him. I’m always gonna talk about that n####, because he put a light… He’s like a Master P of our generation.”
Both Bobby Shmurda and Joyner Lucas spent time in the major label system before returning to their indie roots. Epic Records signed Shmurda in 2014 as “Hot N####” became a mainstream hit. Lucas released the 508-507-2209 commercial mixtape in 2017 via Atlantic Records.
In addition, Bobby and Joyner joined forces to present the “Shmoney Challenge” earlier this year. The contest offered a $25,000 giveaway to an independent artist who signed up for Joyner’s Tully application.
Joyner Lucas and business partner Dhruv Joshi co-founded Tully in 2015. The platform provides artists with access to music distribution, templated industry contracts, and publishing and licensing support.
That entrepreneurial spirit connected to Lucas is reminiscent of Master P. Many Hip Hop followers celebrate Master P for his career in music as well as his business acumen. The multi-millionaire reportedly controls 100% ownership of No Limit Records’ master recordings because of a then-unprecedented 80/20 distribution deal negotiated with Priority Records.
There are a lot of questions about the status of Migos at the moment. Many fans of the Atlanta trio wonder if Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset have split up.
The Migos breakup rumors went into overdrive again because Quavo and Takeoff released another single as just a duo. After dropping “Hotel Lobby” in May, the rhymers came back with “Us Vs Them” featuring Gucci Mane.
Meanwhile, Offset started promoting an upcoming collaboration with Moneybag Yo that could arrive in August. The “Clout” hitmaker also took part in a Q&A session on Twitter yesterday.
Offset teased that another solo album is on the way. All three Migos members presented their own individual studio LPs between October 2018 and February 2019, including Offset’s Father of 4.
When one Twitter user specifically asked what will be different about his second album, Offset replied, “More relatable subjects to right now and way more fun and turnt.”
Speculation about a Migos breakup hit a fever pitch after the group pulled out of this year’s Governors Ball Music Festival in June. A rep for the Quality Control Music act insisted Quavo’s scheduling issues caused the cancellation.
Additionally, there were reports about the Migos members unfollowing each other on social media which also led to conversations about whether they have parted ways. Quavo refused to address the matter when questioned about it at LAX airport.
The Migos are one of the most commercially successful Hip Hop groups of all time. 2017’s Culture album and 2018’s Culture II album peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Migos became just the fifth rap group in history to score two Number Ones.
He may have burst on the scene as one half of iconic duo Krept and Konan in the early 2010s, but the rapper’s latest venture has seen him turn a dream into a booming business, Nala’s Baby – one of the only Black brands in the U.K. children’s hair and skincare sector.
Kept and his former partner Sasha Ellese Gilbert had grave concerns about child skin and hair care products while planning for the arrival of their daughter Nala who was born in June 2020. Before long, they launched Nala’s Baby and promised to change the industry. Their new line has received rave reviews for its dedication to removing harmful ingredients and chemicals from its products.
The South Londoner, who also fronts The Rap Game UK, recently documented his journey during an appearance on entrepreneur Steven Bartlett’s The Diary Of A CEO podcast. Watch the episode below.
Krept Reveals Nala’s Baby Valuation
A trailer for the episode reveals Krept goes in depth during the discussion, recalling his stabbing and the tragic passing of his cousin and fellow U.K. rapper Cadet, who was killed in a 2019 car crash. He also shares that Nala’s Baby has been valued at £17.5 million ($21.3 million) after launching in June this year.
Krept detailed the £17.5 million valuation in a clip and revealed Nala’s Baby has already sold “hundreds of thousands” of products, far exceeding projections. “A week and a half in, we’ve run out of bottles,” he explained, after expecting the supplies to last for three months.

Mary J. Blige is at a stage in her life where she’s feeling amazing, and she’s not going to allow anyone to stop her from being happy.
The undisputed Queen of Hip-Hop Soul has continued to rack up the accolades in 20002, four decades into her illustrious career in the industry. She was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World by Time magazine earlier this year. Earlier that month, Mary J. Blige was honored with the 2002 Icon Award at the Billboard Music Awards.
However, it has taken a long time for Mary to overcome the trauma of her divorce from her ex-husband Kendu Isaacs after they separated in 2016. The couple had an acrimonious split; she accused him of having an affair, and their divorce was finalized two years later.
“Now I want love, but love for me first,” she said. “The love for Mary, I found it. And I’ll f### anybody up that tries to take it away from me. Because it’s so real and so good, and I worked for it, and I earned it. And I keep having to work on it every single day — and it’s a job, it’s a real job.”
Later in the interview Mary J. Blige recalled how far she’s come, explaining that she always disliked herself growing up. “I hated the sound of my voice, and I’d be like, ‘Ugh, that’s me?’ Now, it’s like, ‘I need to hear that again.’ It’s a miracle,” she said before breaking out into a laugh. Check out the interview below.
