‘The Rap Game UK’ Returns For Fourth Series, Hosted By Krept & Konan + DJ Target

The Rap Game UK returned at the weekend (Aug. 11) with a fresh batch of hopefuls vying for a chance to be victorious and win the big money prize.  

The U.K. version of the Jermaine Dupri and Queen Latifah-produced talent contest sees veteran rap duo Krept and Konan alongside BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Target to find the next star of the British rap scene.

Contests on series four are competing for a chance to win £20k (just over $24k) to kickstart a career in the industry. However, unlike other more cutthroat reality shows where an unlucky contender is eliminated each week, The Rap Game UK does it differently. The artists will live together for the entire six weeks until a winner is selected.

According to Konan, one of the show’s priorities is “to give them the gems, knowing that this journey is not easy and will never start being easy.” 

Along the road to the final, the artists will perform various tasks and challenges to prove their rapping credentials. They’ll also have the opportunity to meet some heavyweights of the U.K. rap scene for mentoring. Among the names announced are trap rappers D-Block Europe, grime pioneer Lethal Bizzle, and drill star Unknown T. 

“We love to watch the contestants’ development and growth,” DJ Target explained to NME. “And when they take on feedback, from not just ourselves but all the guest mentors, you can see their progress.” 

The Rap Game UK has proved popular, becoming a reality TV staple for fans and winning awards. However, Krept says he wants the stars of the show to shine even brighter.  

“We still have a fair bit to go where someone’s gone and done the show, and then been mad successful,” he admitted. “I feel like we’ve still got that to achieve. But there’s so many stars on this season – this might be the one.”

Hip Hop star Megan Thee Stallion is back with a new body of work. Traumazine arrived on Friday, August 12 to a lot of fanfare online.

HitsDailyDouble crunched the early numbers for Traumazine‘s sales. According to the website, Megan Thee Stallion’s sophomore studio LP will not open at No. 1 on the next album chart.

Traumazine is currently on pace to pull in 40,000-50,000 first-week units. Megan’s previous LP, 2020’s Good News, opened at #2 with 100,500 album-equivalent units.

The Suga EP dropped in 2020. That 9-track project debuted at #10 on the Billboard 200 with 41,000 units. Suga later peaked at #7. 2019’s Fever and 2021’s Something for Thee Hotties also made it into the Top 10.

Megan Thee Stallion suggested that Traumazine will be her final release from Carl Crawford’s 1501 Certified Entertainment. The two sides have been engaged in a public legal fight over Meg’s music for years.

“Y’all know I always have problems with dropping my music under this label, all these games, and having to go to court just to put out my art has been so stressful,” tweeted Megan last week.

The Houston, Texas native also wrote, “Thank you hotties for rocking with me through the b#######. WE [ARE] ALMOST OUT. 👏🏾 LET’S STAY FOCUSED AND RUN THIS LAST ONE UP.”

Traumazine includes guest features by Key Glock, Latto, Pooh Shiesty, Rico Nasty, Jhené Aiko, Lucky Daye, Sauce Walka, Lil Keke, and Big Pokey. Meg reportedly paid Future $250,000 for his contribution to the “Pressurelicious” single.

While Traumazine may not sit atop the album chart in its opening week, it appears Rod Wave will be the next Billboard 200 chart-topper. The Florida-bred rapper’s Beautiful Mind will likely draw 120,000-140,000 units.

Attorney Accused Of Bribery In Trey Songz Sexual Assault Case Responds

Trey Songz has recently been accused of numerous sexual assaults and is the subject of several ongoing lawsuits filed by several women.  

However, as reported by AllHipHop.com in February, another woman has told the court that she was approached by one accuser’s attorney to make false accusations against the R&B singer in exchange for cash. Now, the attorney has come forward, stating the woman is lying to the court.  

Jauhara Jeffries is suing Trey Songz, claiming he violated her at a 2017 New Year’s Eve party in Miami. However, according to court transcripts obtained by TMZ, one of Jeffries’s lawyers is accused of attempting to bribe a witness in the case.  

Mariah Thielen testifies to meeting Jeffries’ attorney, Ariel Mitchell, last year at a Miami bar. She claims the lawyer smelled of weed and carried a gun throughout their encounter. The outlet reports court documents state that Thielen claims she was with Jeffries the night of the singer’s alleged assault. She alleges Mitchell offered her money to lie about what happened.  

She claims Mitchell offered her between $100k-$200k to say she witnessed Trey Songz commit assault against Jeffries. Thielen also alleges Mitchell told her to say she’d also been assaulted by him in an effort to paint him as “the next R. Kelly.” Jeffries says the plan was to force Trey Songz into a settlement but she turned the offer down.  

The Lawyer Responds

Mitchell denies the claims and told TMZ, “We’re highly confident and certain the court will find the witness committed perjury. Parties are still awaiting the judges’ further instructions on how to proceed given the witness’s inconsistent testimony during the hearing.”  

Furthermore, he claims his partner, George Vrabeck, took himself off the case to defend him against the allegations. “He will be representing me against the parties involved in this disgraceful motion brought by Trey Songz and his representatives.” 

Trey Songz Mounting Sexual Assault Allegations

Mitchell also represents former UNLV basketball player Dylan Gonzalez who publicly accused him of rape and assault. 

The singer, whose real name is Tremaine Neverson, is the subject of other lawsuits. Megan Johnson claimed the singer sexually assaulted and battered her at a Connecticut casino in August 2013. 

In addition, a Jane Doe accuser dropped her $20 million lawsuit against Trey Songz last month after previously alleging he assaulted her in 2016.

Cardi B was happy she didn’t get a face tattoo at 16 but earlier this year said she “really” wanted to tatt her son’s name on her face.  

Last week, Drake unveiled a new face tattoo, and it appears that Cardi B is the latest celeb to debut fresh facial ink.

On Sunday evening, hairstylist Luis Santana shared a video with the caption “tattoo surprise.” The clip appears to show Cardi B getting the face tattoo inked. From the looks of Santana’s Instagram account, he is a member of Cardi’s inner circle. 

Then tattooist Robinson De Los Santos shared an image of the NYC rapper on his IG Stories with the facial ink. While it is unclear what the ink says, it looks like a phrase inked in red on her lower jaw. Santana also shared another video os the rapper getting the ink. From this clip, it looks Cardi may have got her son Wave’s name etched. Check out the footage below.

The images appear to be recent; Cardi B wears her long natural tresses loose as she has done in photos uploaded to her official social media accounts. She flexed her healthy hair after recently sharing her hair care tips involving boiling onions. 

Last year, Card B revealed that she almost got a face tattoo in her teens but came to her senses before going through with it. “Everyday I’m thankful at the fact that ain’t get this face tatt I wanted when I was 16,” she tweeted last summer. Belcalis even had the design planned out. “Little stars from the top of my eyebrow swirling down to my jaw,” she added.  

Meanwhile, in January, Cardi B announced she had a change of heart and was considering inking her son’s name on her face. “Random but ….I’m 1% close too tatting my sons name on my face….I really really wanna do it!” she added. She also gave the biggest clue as to the design, revealing, “I want mine on my jaw.”

50 Cent Receives His Flowers From Mary J. Blige

In another video, Mary J showed loved to 50 Cent, thanking him for his influence on her acting career. 

“This is my boss on the show ‘Power’,” Mary J. began. “If it wasn’t for him, a lot of s### wouldn’t have happened. And I just wanna say, I love you so much, 50. For your generosity and your wisdom.” 

50 Cent then returned the flowers, telling Mary, “I love you back,” before adding, “you mean so much to me.” 

It appears both Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent were a little tipsy as Fiddy’s words came out a little shaky as they hugged on each other while sharing their praises. Watch the footage below.

Doja Cat recently surprised her fans when she shaved her eyebrows off during an Instagram Live chat shortly after she had debuted her new bald-headed look.  

Although the Planet Her hitmaker attempted to reassure concerned fans, telling them, “I’m doing dandy,” some remained worried for her and thought Doja Cat might have suffered a mental breakdown. 

Doja Cat also clarified that she never liked having hair “since the beginning of my life,” and struggled with the wigs she often wears. “I just can’t believe it took me this long to be like ‘shave your f###### head’,” she explained. “I don’t wear my hair out, I had like two eras where my hair would be out. It’s just a f###### nightmare dude, I’m over it. What is the use of having hair if you’re not gonna wear it out?” she concluded. 

Doja Cat Claps Back  

However, according to a scathing tweet Doja Cat penned on Sunday evening (Aug. 14), she feels objectified by fans who would prefer her to look a certain way. 

“I won a grammy and traveled the f###### globe i’ve had a #1 and i went platinum,” Doja Cat wrote. “I make hit after hit after hit and you all want me to look fuckable for you so that you can go home and jerk your c#### all day long while you live in your mothers basement. Go f### yourselves.” 

When a fan accused Doja Cat of being “ungrateful,” and told her to “Just leave Social Media n go focus on music gurl,” the “Get Into It” rapper clapped back. 

“You’re so miserable that you have to label yourself as a “we”,” Doja Cat responded. “You aren’t part of any collective. You’re just another a###### that doesn’t know how to read a room.” 

Nonetheless, she could be walking on thin ice with Twitter. Last month, as reported by AllHipHop.com, Doja was banned from replying to tweets after going on a rant against trolls.

During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” the superstar asked host Jimmy if she was lisping because she was wearing her new dental jewelry.

“I designed them – they are my birthday grillz. It’s almost my birthday, so I got myself a pair of grillz” she shared.

Jimmy went on to ask how long Madonna has worn grillz.

Tiffany Haddish got permission to make herpes jokes about Usher.

While speaking to Cosmopolitan for an interview, the comedian claimed she asks for permission to make jokes at the expense of celebrities.

When you think of Civil War, we tend to think about that thing that happened years ago with the South and the North. First of all, there aren’t two militias fighting in the streets. Also, the beefs are not only regional. So, for example, the Trump supporters are down bottom, up top and all over. So, for the time being, we have a mostly bloodless war. Now, there are some acts that would challenge that, such as murderous acts like Ahmaud Arbery and or Breonna Taylor, because it seems like the KKK has infiltrated the traditional systems.

Now, it seems like the Right side of things is looking for that blood to start spilling. A dude on Twitter started tracking all these people that seem to be hoping for a war with the government. This does not even sound like they want to just war with Black people. They seem to be stockpiling tons of guns for the Feds and to “defend the Constitution” as one dude said. They are also looking like they want to face off with the Army or something. Oh, did I mention they are on TikTok? Sounds counter-Revolutionary to be using a China-based company to sound off

Also, there are reports of armed militias outside of the FBI’s office in Phoenix, AZ. All of this fire over the Trump/Mar-A-Lago raid. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…..

I remember when the NFAC pulled up on the scene, but they weren’t pulling up to Fed Buildings. I wonder how soon it will take for them to take down these domestic terrorists now that they have showing themselves. By the way, they want all the smoke. The IRS can get it too (look at the lady below).

Keke Palmer has candidly discussed her struggles with adult acne.

The “Nope” actress took to Instagram to open up about her skin and begged plastic surgeons to come up with a solution to the common problem.

“I was just thinking about the fact that plastic surgeons are amazing, OK? They can give you a boob job, above the muscle, under the muscle, liposuction, tummy tuck, BBL, they can even implant muscles, I mean, the list goes on,” she sighed. “But they cannot figure out how to clear up somebody’s skin? All these years and all these inventions, you can’t figure out how to take the beautiful skin from my a*s and put it on my face? I’m tired of it. I’m done with it. People out here with adult acne are struggling, and you haven’t figured out that cure? I’m done.”

In the accompanying caption, Keke joked that she would put her “house on the market” to pay the fee if a doctor could come up with a solution to clear her acne.

“Enough with all the hard work of having to find the PERFECT diet and trying to get an expensive facial every other day. Give us the plastic surgery we’re begging for, and make it possible for black skin as well… I need the dual love,” the 28-year-old added.

Back in December 2020, Keke shared that she had been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Symptoms can vary between women, but the most common include irregular periods, excessive hair growth, thinning hair, and oily skin or acne.

Halle Bailey used Twitter to shut down rumors she’s been cast in an upcoming “X-Men” film.

The “Grown-ish” star responded to a tweet saying she had been hired to play Kitty Pryde, also known as Shadowcat, in a new “X-Men” movie.

A Twitter user claimed that Variety had reported the casting announcement, linking to an article by the outlet, though the piece did not mention any casting decisions.

“this is not true,” the 22-year-old star clapped back.

One commenter on the casting tweet asked, “Why lie? Why get the racist fan boys all riled up?”

Later, Halle shared her Variety cover story, in which she opened up about the racist comments she received for being cast as Ariel in the upcoming “Little Mermaid” remake.

“What that would have done for me, how that would have changed my confidence, my belief in myself, everything… Things that seem so small to everyone else, it’s so big to us,” she said of how she would have felt if the original Ariel was a person of color.

Britney Spears has accused her teenage sons of acting “hateful” during visits to her home.

In an interview for DailyMail.com, the popstar’s ex-husband Kevin Federline revealed that Britney had not seen their two boys – Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, – for a “few months.”

He also shared that the teens decided not to attend the singer’s wedding to Sam Asghari back in June.

Taking to Instagram to post a lengthy note, the “Toxic” hitmaker explained that she had experienced tension with her sons during previous visits to her property.

“I know that teenagers are just hard to deal with at that age… but COME ON. There’s being rude then there’s being HATEFUL. They would visit me, walk in the door, go straight to their room and lock the door !!!” she wrote. “The MONITOR would tell me that he just likes to be in his room. I’m like why come visit me if they don’t even visit me !!!.”

Britney went on to claim that she hadn’t pushed the issue as she didn’t want to appear “argumentative,” particularly in the wake of her conservatorship ending last November.

She also noted that Sean and Jayden used to see her twice weekly but recently requested to see her “less.”

“I haven’t seen them since !!! … It’s been kinda nice not having to ask about which day the boys are coming this week and making me wait 2 or 3 days for a reply !!!” the 40-year-old continued. “I don’t know what’s going on in their heads !!!… I always TRIED and TRIED, and maybe that’s why they stopped coming here!!! I wanted them to love me so much that I might have overdone it !!! I can’t process how I dedicated 20 years of my life to those kids… everything was about them!!! For them to knock the breath out of me…”

Britney and Kevin, 44, were married from 2004 until their divorce was finalized in 2007.

Kevin HartKevin Hart is set to release a self-help audiobook next month on Audible.

The comedian’s upcoming audiobook, “Monsters and How to Tame Them: Taking Charge of the Voices in Your Head,” is set for release on Audible on September 15th, Variety reports.

According to an Audible press release, the book centers on defeating negative self-talk, all wrapped “in his signature honesty, hilarious voice and adept storytelling.”

In the audiobook, Kevin identifies different types of negative self-talk, including Control Monster (the need to control everyone and everything around you), Comparison Monster (comparing yourself against others, leading to irrational jealousy), and Approval Monster (the nagging feeling of wanting approval from the entire world).

“I already know you guys probably got one of these annoying inner monsters on your back, too,” Kevin can be heard saying in the audiobook’s trailer. “I’m gonna give a quick lesson on how to deal with them.”‘

Kevin wrote “Monsters and How to Tame Them” with Neil Strauss, who wrote “The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists” and co-wrote Kevin’s 2017 memoir “I Can’t Make This Up: Life Lessons.”

“Monsters and How to Tame Them” follows Kevin’s 2017 memoir as well as his 2020 audiobook “The Decision: Overcoming Today’s BS for Tomorrow’s Success.”

Kevin is currently under a multi-year original content production and development deal with Audible.

Snoop Dogg has debuted his newest venture, Broadus Foods. The first offering is Snoop Loopz, a sweet treat that looks like Froot Loops with marshmallows. The box has a cute blue dog (duh) holding a spoon.

Master P took to Twitter to make the announcement. He wrote, “MORE Corn, MORE Flavor & MORE Marshmallows that’s what separates us from the Rest. If you like Fruit Loops then you will LOVE SnoopLoopz!! http://SNOOPLOOPZ.COM”

Snoop reposted on Instagram with this caption, “Broadus Foods introduces the best tasting cereal in the game Snoop loopz. @snoopdogg we’re taking over the grocery stores. Snooploopz.com – The more we make the more we give. #GODisgood #familybusiness Berry delicious Fo Shizzle!”

We knew Snoop was heavy in the food space when he started hanging around with food and lifestyle expert, Martha Stewart.

AllHipHop.com reported that Snoop believes his former “Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party” co-host has opened up this world to him, making success with a different market accessible, despite their backgrounds being so distant.

He said, “Me and her together, it’s always beautiful, we always enjoy each other’s company. It just shows the world that love is love!

“If you get a chance to sit around somebody, talk to them, understand them, you can become friends with them no matter what color they are, where they come from, how old they are, race, background, religion,” the “Gin and Juice” artist continued.

“And that’s what we doing, we break all the stereotypes when we’re together,” he stated. “We make the world feel like it’s OK.”

 They work so well together, the two have decided to put a product on the market. Snoop just laced Martha with her own brand of 49 Crimes win.

Megan Thee Stallion Could Not Stop Crying As She Wrote “Traumazine” Album

Megan Thee Stallion cried writing songs for her new album Traumazine because they are so personal.

The “Hot Girl Summer” rapper explained in an interview on SiriusXM that she has never expressed her real feelings in her music before, and writing the lyrics for some of the songs on Traumazine made her emotional.

“I was crying more so writing the songs than recording the songs. It kind of felt like a weight off my chest a little bit, actually saying some of these things out loud,” she shared. “But yeah, it felt good to say it out loud and I feel like it feels good to have people understand where I’m coming from.

“So many people got something to say about me that don’t even know me, but I’m like, ‘Okay, well how about this? Let me put a little bit of my feelings in my music.’ And then, you know, you can see where I’m coming from.”

The 27-year-old explained that she often writes songs about how she wants to feel rather than how she actually feels. However, this time around, Megan decided it was time to address how she’s been doing since her mum, Holly Thomas, passed away in March 2019.

“I kind of wanted to talk about everything that’s been happening to me since like 2019. Like since my mom passed. And I feel like I just kinda worked through it. Like I never really dealt with it and I’m not saying I’m still in a good place about it. I’m not saying I’ve worked through it at all. I just feel like now I’m coming to a place where it’s all hitting me,” she revealed. “But now I’m kind of feeling like, dang, I have to deal with this. I can’t keep not talking about it. I can’t keep running from it. I gotta deal with this.”

Traumazine, her second studio album, was released on Friday.

Normani shuts down accusations she lost ‘motivation’ to keep making music

Normani has fiercely responded to claims that she lost the “motivation” to keep making music.

In a Twitter post, the “Fair” singer replied to fans who questioned her work ethic.

The original user’s tweet, which has since been listed as private, read,

“No idea where Normani’s motivation (no pun intended) has gone but I just don’t see the same passion from her as I used to,” referencing the artist’s debut 2019 hit “Motivation.”

It continued, “Before y’all start, it’s not depression so don’t even go THERE!”

Another user replied to the tweet, “What happens when you’ve gotten comfortable and you’re not HUNGRY anymore.”

Quote-tweeting the reply, Normani simply wrote, “Just shut the f##k up.”

Hours later, the Fifth Harmony singer responded to another user, who reacted to the first interaction by writing, “It’s so interesting that people that have no clue what it’s like to be in the music industry & the complexities that can come with that, but will dish out unwanted & rude opinions all the time smh.”

The 26-year-old quoted the user’s tweet, writing atop it, “on top of real life s### going on in my personal life.”

After releasing “Motivation” in 2019, Normani dropped single “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B in 2021 and “Fair” in March this year. She also featured on Megan Thee Stallion’s “Diamonds” and Calvin Harris’ “New to You.”

The musician is yet to set a release date for her debut album, though she asserted on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in December that she was “almost done” with it.

Last week on TikTok, a video caught traction featuring a TikTok curator, Nicolas Nuvan, and a random passerby he selected to interview on the street in New Orleans. At first glance, it seems relatively ordinary. Once this older woman replied that her favorite song to listen to is “Butterfly Effect” by Travis Scott, it seemed a little odd. Nicolas had some more questions for her, which she nonchalantly shrugged off. 

Nicolas Nuvan posted the video, just like any other of the over 760 he has already. Except for this time, Nicolas received a comment from one of his followers that informed him who the mystery woman from the New Orleans video was: Wanda Webster, the mother of Travis Scott.

It made a lot more sense as to why “Butterfly Effect” was her favorite song after that comment.  It also made it clear just how much of a winner this video format is. It’s founded upon Nicolas’ genuine interest in people and love for music. It seems like a no-brainer to expect Nicolas to keep up the current momentum he has. In the past month alone, he’s posted close to 200 videos. 

In this new age of technology and music, a simple fan-made video could be the difference between a record-breaking or not. Nicolas has proven to be a valuable resource for the artists who are put on by his interview subjects, and the best part is it’s an indirect aid. He’s somewhat functioning as a mirror in the world of music and TikTok, showing the world what’s being listened to nowadays, in all of its vastness. 

That was the exact reason that Nicolas Nuvan found himself in New Orleans in the first place; he was on tour asking people in every corner of the U.S. about their favorite music and artists. He’s generating some of the most telling music data in existence while giving artists huge digital pushes at random (based on his interview subjects’ answers).
