“Love & Hip Hop” Star Apple Watts Still Fighting For Her Life In Hospital After Crash

After a horrible car accident, rapper and reality tv star Apple Watts is in the hospital fighting for her life.

TMZ reports that Apple Watts was in an accident while driving on the freeway last week in Baker, CA. Her car, a Mercedes Benz, collided with a Ford F250 pickup truck, causing her luxury ride to tumble across the expressway. 

Before the car could stop, it burst into flames, with the artist still in it. She was saved by one of the persons in the Ford.

As a result of the crash, the “Love & Hip Hop” cast member was life-flighted to a hospital in Nevada, where it was determined she sustained a brain injury and has two breaks in different parts of her neck. Her arm was also shattered.

She underwent surgery for the neck injuries on Tuesday evening (March 29th.) The operation is said to have been a success. 

Since the car wreck, she has not been able to open her eyes, nor is she able to communicate verbally.

Apple Watts is progressing and can breathe on her own. However, doctors continue to give her oxygen to support her healing process.

It is unsure what caused the accident. 

Still, her family, friends, and fans hope she recovers completely.

Tyga and Rob Kardashian defended themselves after their mutual ex Blac Chyna discussed a lack of child support on social media.

Blac Chyna claimed she got rid of three cars to provide for her kids since she doesn’t receive child support. The socialite has two children: a son with Tyga and a daughter with Rob Kardashian.

“Yesterday I had to give up 3 of my cars,” she wrote on Twitter. “my reasons… morals, beliefs, being a single mother, no support I’m a MAMA.”

She added, “Single no support child support”.”

Tyga and Rob Kardashian responded to Blac Chyna by commenting on an Instagram post about her claims.

“I pay 40k a year for my son school & he lives w me mon- sat,” Tyga wrote. “Why would I pay child support lol.”

Rob Kardashian noted, “I pay 37k a year for my daughter’s school. I handle every single medical expense. I pay for all her extracurricular activities. I have my daughter from Tuesday-Saturday. Why would i pay child support lol.”

Tyga also joked about the situation after seeing Rob Kardashian’s remarks.

“@robkardashianofficial how u pay 3k less,” he wrote. “Let me kno the plug.”

Blac Chyna’s Twitter posts aren’t the first time she’s brought up her exes not paying child support. She previously insisted her arrangements with Tyga and Rob Kardashian worked in a 2021 interview with Wendy Williams.

“I feel like if they’re doing their part on their end, and I’m doing mine,” she said. “That’s perfectly fine and the best co-parenting.”

AllHipHop: What inspired LIBRE?

VITA: LIBRE was made during the most tumultuous time of my life. I had just come out of an extremely controlling relationship. I had no money and nowhere to go as well as living in a foreign country away from my family. After years of having no autonomy over my own life I was determined to find my own sense of freedom. I realized that I had allowed external sources to dictate my path for too long. In order for me to rebuild, I had to tear down all of my belief systems completely. I had to release it all. This project is a time stamp in my life of when I began my journey towards liberating myself from anything and anyone that tried to limit me. I went into the studio with a vengeance determined to unleash everything that I had kept to myself for the sake of others comfortability. I wanted to make a statement. I am warm, I am loving, I am compassionate but I am also f###### powerful and I pity anyone who tries to get in my way from here on out.

AllHipHop: What have been some of the joys and challenges of being a
recently-launched artist?

VITA: Being a new artist, especially someone who’s so deeply specific in their creativity, has its highs and lows for sure. One thing I absolutely love is the surprise on peoples faces when they hear the music for the first time. It goes from shock to confusion to head banging in the space of seconds. Especially from those who know me personally, I’m outwardly just your super friendly Aussie neighbor who likes to have a laugh. So introducing people to that side of me is super special. The biggest challenge of being a new artist is the fact that most of the workload is on your own back. I’m extremely intentional about everything I make, so having control over the outcome is as intimidating as it is exhilarating. Especially when I’ve never done any of this before. Everything has been a learning lesson, even in the stressful moments, and for me that is a positive over anything.

AllHipHop: If you could tell pre-2020 VITA one thing, what would it be?

VITA: I’d give her a big hug and say, “you’re going to be okay, this pain and struggle will not last forever. Let go of needing to control the outcome and everything will fall into place.”

AllHipHop: Which song on LIBRE is the closest to your heart?

VITA: I would say BADBABBAD is the song closest to my heart for sure because it was the first song we made that sonically led me to where I am now. I remember the day I made it. I went out on the balcony of my friend’s apartment and I really allowed myself to cry for all of the losses in my life. I sobbed like a little kid until I felt completely empty. I let myself feel it all and after that sadness was gone, all that was left was this blinding, uncontrollable anger.

I was angry at everyone but I was mostly angry at myself for allowing people to take advantage of me. I went to the studio that night, walked straight into the booth and yelled my f###### heart out. I came out dripping with sweat exhausted by the release.

I left the studio that night and went back to my friend’s apartment. I played the song on repeat and jumped around until 4am. I couldn’t believe how good it felt to speak my truth and have something I made that sounds EXACTLY like me. That was my first taste of stepping into who I want to be.

AllHipHop: What do you want the world to know about VITA?

VITA: More than anything I want people to know how bloody Australian I am. Sydney born and bred babyyyy!!! Being Australian is something that I am extremely proud of. My country shaped me into who I am. Giving back to the country that gave me so much is indicative of acknowledging the violent and abusive history of the aborignal community at the hands of colonial settlers.

These egregious acts have created a culture of racism and cultural erasure to this day. As an Australian and the granddaughter of a holocaust survivor, I feel a very genuine responsibility to make tangible change for the original owners of the land I grew up on.

What is the first thing that comes to mind when we think about music? For the most part, it brings us tranquillity or, in other words, peace to our souls.

Today, we’ll introduce you to one such talented artist who, despite his difficulties, managed to make his way into the musical world, and we’re delighted he did. “Richboy Domo” is his name.

After he was released from prison at the age of eighteen and nineteen, this musician began rapping. He first allowed musicality into his life in 2016. Rap taught him to value his life after his time in jail, and he realized that by learning to sing, he could be successful in life.

When it comes to Richboy Domo’s endeavors, he shed light on one of the projects that are near and dear to his heart, namely his first official project “Spin Again.”

It’s noteworthy since it’s his debut project EP, which will be released across the country. He wanted to tell people how much he had gone through with this EP, and he was confident that the audience would be able to grasp the blood and sweat that went into his effort.

Richboy Domo composed all of this music, but he collaborated with two other individuals, Jay and Dymond, who is his manager. They are in charge of project management, including partnerships, project flow, and rollout. He also claims that not composing songs is one of his disadvantages. This is because he just gets to the studio to rap and would like to make songs that would help him develop.

He advises young artists to work with a team that encourages and stimulates them in their endeavors. Success does not come overnight; it takes many sleepless nights in the studio to achieve it.

Richboy Domo is capable of creating high-quality music, and he deserves our appreciation.

AllHipHop had the chance to speak with Tank ahead of his performance at Famelive’s event at Globe Theater in downtown Los Angeles, which kicked off LA Fashion Week.

Tank clarified his position regarding the comment he made on Yung Bleu’s tweet claiming to be the King of R&B.

“It’s crazy because I wasn’t talking to him. I think this generation… they’re so quick to add labels to things when it’s really about the work. And the work over time will speak for itself. And so we don’t have to force labels, we don’t have to force positions. Let the work do the talking. The kid is super talented,” Tank told AllHipHop.com.

Tank said he was familiar with Yung Bleu’s catalog and had nothing but positive things to say about the singer.

“Oh yeah, I know him. I have his number, so I support him. Listen, and even after the exchange, I have no ill will toward the kid. I still love his music. His song came on the radio today, and I turned him up,” Tank told AllHipHop.com.

The song he heard was Yung Bleu’s collaborative song with 2 Chainz, and Chris Brown called “Baddest” and “Collaborative Lies” featuring Kehlani.

“I know his music. I f### with the kid, I f### with him. The internet can make things seem like something it’s not. I love anybody, especially my young, Black kids that are being successful, that are not in the hood doing no dumb s### — that are figuring it out, figuring life out the right way. So he got my love. Regarding his own music, Tank is getting ready to drop his album R&B Money.

Tank is also hitting the road for his headlining tour for the project. He will also celebrate his record “I Deserve,” which is a fan favorite, going #1.

Will Smith Gets Visit From LA County Sheriffs At His Home

Will Smith received a visit from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday.

Photographers caught footage of officers entering the gates of the Smiths’ Calabasas mansion in a marked patrol car on Tuesday afternoon.

Their visit came two days after Will walked on stage and slapped Oscars presenter Chris Rock during the live telecast over a joke made about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

Deputy Lizette Salcon, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, told Page Six that officers arrived after a drone was reported flying through the neighborhood.

“We just sent that unit over there to try to locate the drone and see if there was a paparazzi or what was going on,” the deputy said. “But when the deputies got there, they weren’t able to locate the drone. It had already left the area.”

She did not confirm whether it was the Smiths who reported the drone.

While Chris decided not to press charges, Steve Cooley, Los Angeles County District Attorney from 2000 to 2012, told the New York Post on Tuesday that

Will could face legal consequences anyway.

“The (Los Angeles) city attorney could bring charges based upon the evidence without necessarily relying upon the victim,” he said. “The victim does not control whether or not a prosecutor should file charges. However, charges actually can and should be filed because the offense was against the state of California.

“It’s not Chris Rock versus Will Smith in a criminal matter. The LAPD and the city attorney should not close the door on what was an obvious criminal offense and is easily provable.”

Will apologized for his “unacceptable and inexcusable” behavior in a statement on Monday, and Jada broke her silence on Tuesday.

Tyler, The Creator’s ‘Call Me If You Get Lost Live’ To Stream On Amazon Music

Tyler, The Creator supporters from around the world can watch the Hip Hop artist’s upcoming concert. Call Me If You Get Lost Live will stream on Prime Video, the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, and the Amazon Music app.

Three big Hip Hop acts will hit the stage at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater on June 25. Summerfest organizers tapped Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, and Wu-Tang Clan for the annual live event.

Lil Wayne released his most recent solo studio LP, Funeral, two years ago. Wiz Khalifa dropped the Stoner’s Night collaborative project with Juicy J earlier this year. Wu-Tang Clan’s catalog includes the classic albums Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) from 1993 and Wu-Tang Forever from 1997.

The 54th edition of the Milwaukee-based Summerfest will feature over 100 headliners representing various music genres. Justin Bieber, Halsey, Machine Gun Kelly, and Backstreet Boys are also among the scheduled performers.

In addition, this year’s Summerfest will feature performances by Jaden, Anthony Hamilton, 2 Chainz, Cordae, Alessia Cara, Willow, Boys II Men, Big Boi, Jojo, and more. The festival’s full lineup, including official set dates/times, is available at summerfest.com.

“It feels great to announce our highly anticipated lineup and have the festival back in its regular summer timeframe for 2022,” says Don Smiley, President/CEO of Milwaukee World Festival, Inc.

Smiley adds, “From Justin Bieber, Halsey, Backstreet Boys, and a special Summerfest co-headlining show with Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, and Wu-Tang Clan, to John Fogerty, Steve Aoki, Halestorm, and others, it would be difficult to find a more diverse lineup anywhere.” 

He continues, “Make plans to join us for Summerfest this June, one of the most affordable music festivals in the world, and home to over 1,000 artists performing live over the nine-day run.” Summerfest 2022 is scheduled for June 23-25, June 30-July 2, and July 7-9.

R&B recording artist August Alsina took to Instagram to share a message with his 6.7 million followers. The “I Luv This Sh*t” performer’s IG post comes after Will Smith infamously slapped Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards.

August Alsina became tabloid fodder in 2020 when news broke about his previous romantic liaison with Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. The 29-year-old New Orleans native even released a song titled “Entanglements” which was inspired by Jada’s description of their extramarital relationship.

Doja Cat Repeats She’s Retiring From Music

So is Doja Cat really ready to walk away from the music industry? On March 25, the Planet Her album creator posted a tweet claiming her run in the spotlight was coming to an end.

“This s### ain’t for me so I’m out. Y’all take care,” tweeted Doja Cat on March 25. She later added, “I don’t have to focus on anything because I quit.” The next day, Doja Cat returned to Twitter with what appeared to be a change of heart.

“I can travel, I can eat good food, I can see new people, I can smile, I can make memories that I dreamed of having, I can laugh, I can support my family and my friends, I can learn about the world, and I can give back to everyone because of you. I do owe people s###. I owe a lot,” posted Doja.

Numerous outlets ran articles about Doja Cat supposedly quitting the record business and then backtracking on that retirement. A March 28 tweet from Mix 105.1 read, “Ok so maybe @DojaCat isn’t retiring.”

That particular tweet by the Orlando-based radio station garnered a direct response from Doja Cat on Twitter. The 11-time Grammy nominee simply replied, “Yes the f### I am.”

Doja Cat Became A Billboard Chart Regular Over

If Doja Cat does retire from making music, she will leave the scene with one career #1 on the Hot 100 chart. “Say So” featuring Nicki Minaj peaked atop those Billboard rankings in May 2020.

The 26-year-old rapper/singer has five Top 10 hits on the Hot 100. Her Hot Pink album, which dropped in 2019, has spent 125 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart.

Doja Cat’s discography also includes 2018’s Amala and 2021’s Planet Her. The latter project holds the record for the longest tenure in Billboard 200’s Top 10 for a female rapper.

Additionally, the Planet Her single “Woman” made it into the Hot 100’s Top 10 this week. Doja Cat now has three solo Top 10 hits throughout her career. “Need To Know” and the original “Say So” also climbed into that region.

It is day four of SlapGate. Will Smith smacking comedian Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards continues to dominate the discussion online, and now Tony Rock has shared his thoughts on the situation.

Chris Rock attended the Oscars on Sunday to present the Best Documentary Feature award. While on stage, the Good Hair movie producer made fun of Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, who was sitting in the audience.

“Jada, I love you. G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it,” said Chris Rock, referring to the 1997 movie G.I. Jane which featured a bald Demi Moore. Pinkett Smith lost her hair due to a medical condition known as alopecia.

Will Smith initially laughed at Chris Rock’s joke, but the Best Actor winner eventually slapped the former Saturday Night Live cast member in the face on live television. The King Richard star later apologized to Chris on Instagram.

During a “20 Questions Tuesday” session on Twitter, Tony Rock called the Academy Awards viral moment involving his sibling “foul.” The stand-up comic also stated that he would “respond” to Will Smith.

One person on the social media platform asked Tony if he approved of Will Smith’s apology. The Tony Rock Project actor simply responded, “No.” The 47-year-old New Yorker also declared Chris Rock should decide how the brothers will respond to the situation.

Plus, Tony Rock suggested Sean “Diddy” Combs was lying about Chris Rock and Will Smith settling their differences on Oscar night. In addition, Tony stated he is still “waiting” for Will Smith to speak directly to Chris Rock and the rest of the Rock family.
