Omilio Sparks of State Property has a son named Forrest Reigns that is catching a buzz!!!
Check out this new video from Philly’s Forrest Reigns as he unleashes the new single, “Stuck.” There aren’t many artists in Hip Hop these days that are willing to take risks and set a new tone. That isn’t a problem for the Chester, PA prodigy Forrest Reigns who’s latest single is a mix of commercial melodies with heartfelt lyrics.
Ironically the Philadelphia rapper is the son of Omillio Sparks. Although he has been creating a buzz of his own, Hip-Hop fans might remember Omilio Sparks had a run with rap collective State Property which was led by Beanie Sigel and signed to Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records.
Despite his father’s place in Hip-Hop history, his unique style sets him apart from his PA contemporaries and the new EP “Embrace” that will be dropping this Fall has already piqued many musical enthusiasts’ interest with powerful releases like “Knock” which features Reese Youngn. Others see signs of Hip Hop royalty and the pedigree to be a storyteller with his creativity on songs like “Superior.”
“I wrote the song Stuck because of my ‘on again, off again’ relationship with an ex-jawn,” Forrest said. “My upcoming EP will be a very musically diverse project”.
Despite being a prince, Harry’s life has gotten more exciting after he married Meghan Markle.
Sure, he might miss being the ruler of all of Great Britain and having crumpets with Queen Elizabeth, but wouldn’t you change all of that to have Thanksgiving Dinner with Snoop Dogg?
That’s actually royally cool.
According to the tabloid Mirror, the King of the West Coast Snoop Dogg has invited the former Duke of Sussex and his lovely wife to celebrate the American holiday at his compound.
Snoop is alleged to have told Hazza, a mutual friend between the two parties, “I said Prince Harry had big balls when he didn’t invite Trump to his wedding. And now, for real, I say he’s got an even bigger set of balls.”
This statement is in reference to him leaving the royal family to have a life out of the spotlight, where he can emotionally and psychologically support his Black wife and children.
“Him and Meghan are living their lives like they want and that can’t be an easy thing with the whole world judging them,” it is said that Snoop marveled.
“They got to live life their way – they get a lot of respect from me for that,” the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” chart-topper shared. “If they want to come over for Thanksgiving dinner they are in for something special. They can come over to Snoop’s crib.”
It is said that Snoop has a few tricks up his sleeve in the kitchen.
He was taught to cook by celebrity chef and tv star, Gordon Ramsay and exchanges tips with Martha Stewart, with who he had a cooking show on VH1 with.
Let’s hope the dinner is more traditional than the meals he made on “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Party Challenge.”
Rapper Foogiano is showing up a whole bunch of guys with his birthday gift to his girl Renni Rucci.
Not only did he shower her with gifts upon gifts (including a proposal with some bling), but he did it all from jail.
Some women cannot get their man to pick up a card on their way home from work on their birthday, but Gucci Mane’s 1017 recording artist figured out how to coordinate the perfect 30th birthday surprise for Renni Rucci his now-fiancée.
Renni Rucci, who is also a rapper, shared the exciting news online. Over the weekend, she posted a few videos to show how her man loves her.
He had delivered to her a box of chocolate-covered strawberries, a bouquet of flowers, and a big old Louboutin box from his prison cell. In addition to that, he asked her to marry him — complete with a gigantic diamond engagement ring.
Her caption on her Instagram said, “Best birthday ever! #dirtythirty from a girlfriend to fiancee @foogiano.”
The “Love and Hip Hop” star began dating Mr. Romantic last year after reportedly meeting on Instagram.
Shortly afterward, Foogiano was arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He received a release from jail with a $50,000 bail and an ankle monitor to track his comings and goings.
He was restricted to stay inside of the state of Georgia.
A recently unveiled statue of George Floyd located in Union Square Park, NYC was vandalized, and police are looking for the culprit.
Someone, who fled away on a skateboard, splashed the statue with black paint. It was intentional as the Floyd bust is one of three in the exhibition — and the only one targeted.
Created by artist Chris Carnabuci, the exhibition is titled “See Injustice” and includes Floyd, civil rights leader John Lewis, and Breonna Taylor. Unveiled to the public last week, it didn’t take long before thugs could vandalize the thoughtful and beautiful tributes.
Monday morning, Oct. 4 (around 10:00 am), witnesses say that a male suspect threw paint on the statue of Floyd and skateboarded off.
Immediately afterward, a crew was brought in to restore the art.
This is the second time that a piece dedicated to George Floyd was vandalized by a black splash of paint in New York.
In June, after the 11-foot-bust was unveiled in Brooklyn for Juneteenth, someone did the same thing.
In a statement, Carnabuci and the We are Floyd organization stated, “It takes a lot of courage to display the three statues we are exhibiting in Union Square. It also takes a good deal of courage to vandalize a statue on a global stage in broad daylight. This continues to bring light to our mission that art is a conversation catalyst, a place for public discourse, and through these acts, we can hopefully overcome hate and find unity for the future. We continue to be inspired to create and display public art to further this important mission.”
The police are looking for the vandal and asking for support in the efforts.
Clifford “T.I.” Harris and Tameka “Tiny” Harris spent the last decade introducing their extended family to the public through reality shows like T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle and T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle.
One of the stars of Family Hustle is tired of social media users mentioning T.I. and Tiny in reply to her tweets. After posting photos of her birth mother, Ms. Niko, on Twitter, 20-year-old Deyjah Harris addressed some of the people on the platform.
“Man, why y’all gotta bring up my pops and stepmom [every time] I post my mom? Do those thoughts really need to be tweeted/said out loud? Why we can’t just enjoy the photos of her without some people bringing my other parents up…. just chill. Everyone is happy so it don’t matter,” tweeted Deyjah Harris on Sunday.

One user responded, “Baby, this is Twitter… [you’re] better off getting a photo album and pasting your pics there if you ever want to share your memories without unwarranted feedback.”
That tweet caused Deyjah Harris to write, “It doesn’t matter if it’s Twitter or not. I’m not under people’s [posts sharing] my unwarranted feedback and I get it, everyone isn’t me but there shouldn’t be a comparison between my 2 beautiful mothers. It’s ridiculous either way and sad… very sad and incogitant on their end.”
She later added, “It’s ok, nothing I’m not used to but they literally only do this when I post my mom lol. Like when I post my pops, don’t nobody ever mention my mom so why are they mentioning him + Tiny under her posts? Just ridiculous tbh smh.”

In addition, T.I. and Tiny have found their names in a lot of news headlines over the last eight months. Several women across the country accused the celebrity couple of drugging, rape, kidnapping, and other sex-related crimes.

“Sorry I’m in pajamas, but I just got off the PJ,” raps Kanye West on the 2011 song “Gotta Have It.” It appears the 22-time Grammy winner does not only fly by private jet.
According to Canadian musician Goody Grace, Kanye West traveled on a commercial flight over the weekend. Grace posted a Twitter photo with West on Sunday evening.
“It’s not [every day] you’re boarding a flight to start your first headline tour in 3 years & have a great conversation with a legend. Shout out the goat @kanyewest & the universe for these moments,” tweeted Goody Grace.
Other pictures of Kanye West at Los Angeles International Airport emerged on social media too. Many fans were shocked to see the billionaire walking among other travelers.

DreamChasers recording artist Vory shared his thoughts on Kanye West’s LAX excursion. Apparently, West told people beforehand that he was planning to pass up on the PJ for his latest trips.
“Nah 😭Ye told me he been traveling solo commercial on some normal s###. Thought he was capping. 😭,” wrote Vory on his Instagram Story. The Houston-born, Louisville-raised rhymer appeared on Kanye West’s “No Child Left Behind” track off the Donda album.
Vory also dropped a self-titled project in December 2020 which featured his DreamChasers label boss Meek Mill. The Lucky Me EP creator is also credited as a co-writer for “Friends” by The Carters (Jay-Z & Beyoncé) as well as “Mob Ties” by Drake.
About a month ago, Akon expressed his views about being rich versus being poor. While speaking about the passing of The Wire star Michael K. Williams, Akon addressed the plight of the wealthy.
“Dude, the famous and the rich go through more issues than the poor,” stated Akon at the time. “They say, ‘More money, more problems.’ That’s a real thing.”
Now, Akon is addressing the backlash over those comments. The Senegalese-American singer once again spoke to TMZ about the topic of the haves and the have-nots.
“It’s not really more so a walk back, but what I do want to express is that sometimes when comments like that are made – I always speak according to what I’m personally going through myself,” Akon explained. “Nobody can sit there and tell me I didn’t go through poverty.”
The “I Wanna Love You” hitmaker added, “I’m having more problems successfully dealing with all that comes with success than I had when I was poor. I was actually happier when I was poor.”
Akon went on to offer an apology to anyone who was offended by his original words. He said, “I would apologize to those that felt that comment affected or emotionally put them in a position that made it make seem like I was arrogant because that’s not the way I wanted to come off.”
It appears Summer Walker is close to dropping her sophomore album. Fans of the 25-year-old singer-songwriter noticed a possible release date on her Instagram Story.
Summer Walker attended the Atlanta Falcons versus Washington Football Team game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday. While her hometown squad lost to the team from DC, Walker did seem to use Falcons merchandise to suggest her Hard Drive album was coming in November.
One Instagram Story post featured a photo of two Falcons jerseys. One jersey had “S. Walker” on the back with the number 11. The other jersey showed “Hard Drive” as the name and 05 as the number.
This led to speculation that Friday, November 5 is the official release date for Summer Walker’s forthcoming Hard Drive album. As of press time, there has not been any official confirmation about when Hard Drive will hit DSPs.
Summer Walker Also Teases An Announcement For The Anniversary Of ‘Over It’
Today (October 4) also happens to be the 2-year anniversary of Over It being released. Yesterday, Walker wrote on Instagram, “Tomorrow (10/4) is the anniversary of my debut album Over It! So go ahead and turn your alerts on cause I got something to tell y’all!”
Summer Walker ended 2020 by contributing to LVRN’s 9-track Home For The Holidays. The compilation featured 6LACK, Westside Boogie, Shelley (fka DRAM), OMB Bloodbath, Eli Derby, Young Rog, and BRS Kash as well.
The last two years have also seen Summer Walker collaborate with 21 Savage for “Secret,” Trey Songz for “Back Home,” Sam Smith for “You Will Be Found,” Justin Bieber for “Yummy (Remix),” and Toosii for “Love Cycle.”
Will Meek Mill add another #1 album to his catalog? The Philadelphia-bred rap star’s latest album, Expensive Pain, may come up short of reaching the top spot on next week’s Billboard 200.
According to HitsDailyDouble, Taylor Swift’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is likely to block Meek Mill from the pole position. The re-released project from 2008 is expected to pull in over 130,000 units this week.
Expensive Pain was released three years after Meek Mill’s second No. 1 album Championships. 2015’s Dreams Worth More Than Money also debuted at #1.
Championships and Dreams Worth More Than Money are both certified Platinum by the RIAA. Meek Mill also earned Gold plaques for 2012’s Dreams and Nightmares and 2017’s Wins & Losses.
For Expensive Pain, Meek Mill enlisted Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Kehlani, A$AP Ferg, Moneybagg Yo, Giggs, Young Thug, Vory, Lil Uzi Vert, and Brent Faiyaz as guest features. Cardo, Nick Papz, Boi-1da, Tay Keith, Vinylz, and others provided the production.
“Now I’m back in the studio smoking freely. I’m not on probation. It unlocked the real art side of me, really new flows, new melodies, being more vulnerable, more personal,” said Meek Mill about making Expensive Pain.
The Dreamchasers label founder added, “I think the people going to be able to identify when they hear this album. I got a lot of energy but I’m not screaming on a lot of records. You can hear me more clear because I’m expressing myself.”
However, during the opening night of the “Millennium Tour” at the Forum in Los Angeles on Friday (Oct. 1) Fizz addressed the issue head-on. After reuniting with his fellow B2K band members Omarion, J-Boog, and Raz-B, Lil Fizz took the stage to deliver what some would say is a well overdue public apology to Omarion.
As Omarion approached him Lil Fizz declared: “I don’t think it would be right if I didn’t take this moment, bro, to publicly apologize to yo.”
“I did some f##### up s### to my brother,” Fizz said, as the crowd cheered. “I did some snake ass s###, and I’m not proud of it. So, I want to sit here humbly and sincerely apologize to you for any turmoil or dysfunction I caused between you and your family.”
Lil Fizz apologizes for DATING Omarion’s baby mother on stage at the Millennium Tour .. thoughts ??? pic.twitter.com/nPlFAkhWgA
Following the on-stage apology, the two bandmates hugged it out and put on a show for their fans.
At the weekend, the lady at the center of all the drama also took to her social media. Lil Fizz and Omarion’s ex, Apryl Jones was seemingly unbothered by the reunion or the apology.
TLC has been on a nationwide tour with Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony, to commemorate their hit sophomore album ‘CrazySexyCool.” However, fans hoping to attend the upcoming dates in two Texas cities will have to wait a little longer to see the show.
On Saturday (October 2) the group announced that the Houston show wouldn’t be going down that day and informed fans of the new date.
“TLC has rescheduled the Saturday, October 2nd show at the Smart Financial Center in Houston, TX to Monday, October 4th.”
Giving reasons for the postponement the note continued: “Due to extreme cigarette and recreational smoke being present backstage at a previous show, T-Boz suffered an allergic reaction. The group has always enforced a strict no smoking policy at their shows in an effort to prevent any health related issues for the group and/or crew.”
TLC then announced that a second date would also be rescheduled: “TLC has rescheduled the Sunday, October 3rd show at the Pavilion at Toyota Music in Irving, TX to Tuesday, October 5th. We are so excited to see all our TLC fans there!!!”
“Early on, it wasn’t managed at all,” she said. “That’s why I ruined every tour and got sick every time.” T-Boz said she now works with her team to prevent any issues from arising.
“Everything is strategically planned out, as far as how long travel is, what days I’m off, and what cities we do or don’t go to,” she said.
Drake and Kanye West have been engaged in a well-publicized feud for years and the rivalry ratcheted up a notch recently with the release of their respective albums. Well, according to J Prince, the two rappers have put their differences aside and joined forces for a worthy cause.
The “Rap-A-Lot” CEO took to Instagram to reveal that the two have come together in the fight for the freedom of Larry Hoover, the co-founder of Chicago’s Gangsta Disciples.
“IF YOU FAIL TO PLAN YOU PLAN TO FAIL. “Good plans in the making to free our brother Larry Hoover with the support of @champagnepapi and @kanyewest.” Prince wrote in the caption. The picture featured Prince alongside Kanye, Hoover’s wife Winndye Jenkins, and their son Larry Hoover Jr.
Kanye has been a past supporter of Larry Hoover’s cause asking former President Donald Trump to pardon Hoover when Ye visited the White House back in 2018.
“There’s infinite amounts of the universe and there’s alternate universe,” Ye said at the time. “So it’s very important for me to get Hoover out because in an alternate universe, I am him and I have to go and get him free.
“Because he was doing positive inside Chicago just like I’m moving back to Chicago, and it’s not just about, you know, getting on stage and being an entertainer and having a monolithic voice that’s forced to be a specific part.”
Kanye also featured Hoover’s son, Larry Hoover Jr. on the Donda tracks, “Jesus Lord” and “Jesus Lord, Pt. 2.”
Hoover, credited with co-founding the Gangsta Disciples in early 1970s Chicago, was convicted of murder in 1973. He received a life sentence and then in 1997, was found guilty of multiple charges after being accused of running the gang and its operations from inside prison. Hoover has since renounced gang activity, attempting to rebrand the meaning of GD as “Growth & Development,” and works to promote peace in Chicago.
Champagne Papi’s role in all of this is yet to be revealed. Any collaboration would be a remarkable turn of events considering the long-running hostility between him and Kanye.
However, it would not be the first time J Prince claims to have mediated between the two. Back in 2018 in an interview on “Sway In The Morning” Price stated that he stopped Drake dropping a diss track that would have “hurt families.”
Bow Wow’s “Millenium Tour” kicked off again this weekend after a year-long delay due to COVID-19 restrictions. The tour began with a star studded-showing in LA where Bow Wow brought out guests including Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, and Chris Brown.
Lizzo and a crew of gal pals pulled up to the event and looked ready to have fun, dressed in coordinating Burberry outfits. From the looks of the viral clips of the singer backstage she certainly had a blast!
This is ur sign to get matching outfits and go to the millennium tour w ur friends ❤️ pic.twitter.com/MWcdBVFEre
One such clip of the “Truth Hurts” singer features her and Soulja boy dancing and having a great time. Lizzo posted a clip of her and Souja dancing the routine for his hit song, “Rick & Morty.” Soulja was also kitted out in head-to-toe Burberry and the pair wouldn’t have looked out of place at a baby shower!
“Singing ‘Rick & Morty’ until @Soulja Boy (Draco) calls me his Soulja Girl,” Lizzo captioned the video on TikTok.
Lizzo may have wanted to be Draco’s “Soulja Girl,” but it was Chris Brown for whom she reserved her highest praise. In another viral clip taken backstage at the concert, Lizzo can be seen in fangirl mode asking Chris for a picture. “Can I get a picture with you because you’re my favorite person in the whole f*cking world,” she says in the clip. Chris happily poses with her and Lizzo has to send back one of her girls who rushed to get in the pic with them, she was not about to share him!
Today is October 3 — and on this day in hip hop history, two legends are celebrating their birthday, while another legendary album is celebrating its anniversary.
On This Day in Hip Hop History: Black Thought Was Born (1971)
Born Tarik Luqmaan Trotter in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Black Thought enjoyed his first revolution around the Earth on this day in Hip Hop history, 1971. His parents, Thomas and Cassandra, were both members of the Nation of Islam — but unfortunately, Thomas was murdered when Tarik was only a year old. Things would only get worse when Trotter went to high school, as his mother ended up getting murdered, as well.
With such an inauspicious start, he could have fallen through the proverbial cracks. Instead, in 1987 — when he was 16 years old — Trotter linked up with Ahmir Thompson to form a drummer/MC duo. (A third member, Malik Basit — later to be known as Malik B. — eventually would also join the lineup.) Originally named The Square Roots, the release of their debut album Organix in 1993 prompted the collective to change their name to The Roots.
Trotter, for his part, became known as Black Thought, and Thompson became known as Questlove. Though The Roots certainly received their flowers from their hip hop contemporaries, it wasn’t until 2000 that they’d receive their flowers from the mainstream, as well. At that time, The Roots received their first Grammy award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for “You Got Me.”
Black Thought’s most recent single came out in August 2020, when he dropped “Good Morning” with Pusha T, Swizz Beatz, and Killer Mike. That same month and year, AllMusic recognized Black Thought as “one of the most skilled, incisive, and prolific rappers of his time.”
Also On This Day: Talib Kweli Was Born (1975)
On this day in Hip Hop history, in 1975, another hip hop legend was born.
Talib Kweli Greene — who is best known as Talib Kweli — was born on this day in Brooklyn, NY, in 1975. Both of Greene’s parents are in education: his mother, Brenda, is a professor at SUNY-Medgar Evers Collge, and his father is an administrator at Adelphi University. Greene’s brother, Jamal, is also in academia; he’s best known for his work as a professor of constitutional law at Columbia University, but he got his start in the legal field as a clerk for one of the Justices of the Supreme Court.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CUkGqoHrzE6/
Kweli first rose to prominence in the rap industry as one-half of the duo, Reflection Eternal. (The other half was producer Hi-Tek.) From 1997 until 2001, he worked the indie rap scene with Reflection Eternal. But one might say that his true “big break” — at least for the mainstream — came in 1998, when he teamed up with Mos Def (now Yasiin Bey) to form Black Star.
Although Black Star only has one album to date — 1998’s Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star — it’s almost universally considered one of the best rap albums of all time by music critics. Kweli is also a grassroots activist, who frequently contributes his time and money to organizations like the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, and is known for being vocal about causes involving racism and police brutality.
Also On This Day: Jedi Mind Tricks Drop ‘Violent By Design’ (2000)
Originally formed by Vinnie Paz and Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind, Jedi Mind Tricks would go on to add Jus Allah when they recorded their second studio album. That studio album — which was released on this day in hip hop history — would become known as the critically-acclaimed Violent by Design.
Despite none of its singles clearing any of the Billboard charts, Violent by Design moved 50,000 units in its first week on the shelves. With songs like “Ghengis Khan,” “Retaliation,” and the above-referenced “Heavenly Divine,” Violent by Design was lauded by both the streets and critics alike.
Despite receiving criticism for its virulently homophobic and explicitly violent lyrics, the album established Jedi Mind Tricks as a collective — and Vinnie Paz, as an individual rapper — as one of the main tastemakers who weren’t afraid to shake the table. To this day, both Paz and Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind are highly in-demand and sought after in hip hop music.
Rap star Snoop Dogg is heading back to college – kind of.
The legendary gangster rapper will be on hand to celebrate Rutgers University’s Class of 2020 and 2021.
The graduates are being treated to a special concert by Snoop Dogg and Warren G. after Rutgers canceled most of the school year due to COVID-19,
In addition to performing tracks from his deep catalog, Snoop will perform newer songs off his upcoming album Algorithm.
“I am looking forward to performing at Rutgers University to celebrate their student body and the release of my new record Algorithm,” Snoop Dogg said in a press release. “It’s going to be a party to remember, and the energy is going to be off the hook.”
According to Rutgers, the concert with Snoop and Warren G is one of several events being held to commemorate the students who had their final year ruined by restrictions imposed during the pandemic.
Members of the Class of 2020 and 2021 can attend the concert free, with one guest. Snoop Dogg and Warren G will take over the SHI Stadium on October 23rd.
Meanwhile, Snoop’s album Algorithm is reportedly set to land in stores this November.
Rapper Kanye West appears to be in the early stages of starting a technology business named after his mom.
According to TMZ, Ye filed trademark applications for the name DONDA on an assortment of electronic products.
The billionaire rapper filed to protect the name on smartwatches, tablets, audio speakers, earbuds, smart jewelry, and more.
He has been using his mom’s name in business since 2012, when he launched his creative content company DONDA.
Now that he’s a billionaire, Kanye West may be making good on the plans for DONDA he announced on Twitter way back when.
“DONDA is a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas…I am assembling a team of architects, graphic designers, directors musicians, producers, [A&Rs], writers, publicist, social media experts, app guys, managers, car designers, clothing designers, DJs, video game designers, publishers, tech guys, lawyers, bankers, nutritionists,” Kanye proclaimed in 2012 when he announced the DONDA brand.
DONDA is supposed to comprise 22 divisions, which will “help simplify and aesthetically improve everything we see hear, touch, taste, and feel.”
Kanye has been a busy man on the legal and business front. He has been attempting to change his name from Kanye West to simply Ye.
The rap star/designer is also looking to dominate the home goods industry after his holding company Mascotte Holdings Inc., filed to trademark “Kanye West” for silk sheets, curtains, towels, and other products.
Kanye’s company owns various other trademarks, too, like Loop Dreams, The Past Tells Everything, Yeezy, Universe City, Kanye Travel Ventures, Good Water, and Past Tell Museum.

Rap star Tory Lanez continues his streak of charitable giving to those in need.
The rapper took time out of his busy schedule to head to Del Rio, Texas, to witness the Haitian border crisis first hand.
According to reports, up to 30,000 Haitians, who fled their native country for South America, have been detained or expelled from the United States.
The Haitian migrants fled the island for various reasons, including devastating earthquakes, hurricanes, and political instability, after President Jovenel Moise was assassinated by mercenaries on July 7th, 2021.
Images of white border patrol agents on horseback corraling black Haitians and using what appeared to be whips also sparked widespread outrage.
So far, the Biden administration has sent 2,000 Haitians back to the country, while another 8,000 have been expelled to Mexico.
According to reports, about 12,000 migrants are still lingering at the border seeking asylum in the United States.
Tory Lanez popped up to a chaotic scene, but he was still undeterred. The Canadian brought about $50,000 worth of supplies for those still being detained in a camp.
Tory handed out blankets, towels, and other supplies to help the refugees, whose futures remain in limbo.
Last month in September, Tory Lanez popped up in Baltimore, where he went to a local Target and spent $50,000 purchasing clothes for the needy and less fortunate.
Boosie was shoehorned in towards the end of the concert because he was late, according to reports.
Thankfully, last night’s legends of the streets tour stop in Greensboro, North Carolina, took place without incident – but Boosie was not allowed to perform, even though he was in Greensboro and ready to hit the stage.
The rapper vowed that he would be on the stage tonight (October 3rd) when the tour stops in Baltimore, Maryland, even though he claims promoters are attempting to ban him from the Legendz of the Streetz Tour.
“They not letting me perform in Baltimore neither,” Boosie explained while getting a haircut. “But I’m going to be in Baltimore you got me f##### up if you think I ain’t in Baltimore. I mean that. I’m in them bricks you best believe that.”
THEY TRYIN TO BAN ME FOR ME PROTECTING MY LIFE #godgotme ‼️😉THAT TOUR NEED THIS LEGEND😎IF NOT I AINT TRIPPING “IM GREAT 👍 NEXT FILM 10/17-10/20 but MY boosiefans don’t play they go want a refund https://t.co/n3nDWAjws6pic.twitter.com/cPhMAx1dNi
Dolly Parton was “honored and flattered” that Lil Nas X covered her hit song “Jolene” during a recent radio performance.
The “Montero” rapper delivered his own take on the signature 1973 track for BBC Radio One’s “Live Lounge,” telling NME: “I chose this because I feel like this song is kind of beautifully sad. I like the little country twang, so I was like, ‘Let me try this out’.”
Now, Dolly has responded to the performance, insisting she was thrilled with his interpretation of the classic tune.
I was so excited when someone told me that Lil Nas X had done my song #Jolene. I had to find it and listen to it immediately…and it's really good. Of course, I love him anyway. I was surprised and I'm honored and flattered. I hope he does good for both of us. Thank you @LilNasXhttps://t.co/w7vJWGypOp
“I was so excited when someone told me that Lil Nas X had done my song ‘Jolene’. I had to find it and listen to it immediately… and it’s really, really good,” Dolly wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture of herself and the Old Town Road star posing backstage at an event.
“Of course, I love him anyway. I was surprised and I’m honored and flattered. I hope he does good for both of us. Thank you @lilnasx.”
Lil Nas X then re-posted Dolly’s message on his Instagram page, writing: “H########.”
