R. Kelly’s Team Forced Drake To Include Him As A Co-Lyricist On ‘CLB’ Album

Drake’s producer took to social media to explain why R. Kelly is mentioned as a co-writer on the song “TSU” on the artist’s new album Certified Lover Boy.  He said that Team Kelly made the OVO hitmaker include the disgrace GRAMMY award-winner on the project.

On influencer RavynWngz’ Instagram, Saturday (Sept. 4) post about the controversy, Noah “50” Shebib, the Co-Founder of Drake’s company OVO commented his lengthy reason why the “Your Body’s Callin” singer was named.

AllHipHop.com reported that R. Kelly was accredited.

He said, “On a song called tsu at the beginning is a sample of OG Ron c talking. Behind that faintly which you can’t even hear is an r Kelly song playing in the background.”

OG Ron C is a popular DJ and co-founder of Swishahouse with DJ Screw. He also happens to be signed to OVO Sound.  Also according to his booking biography, it states that he is the label’s DJ.

Despite the relationship, OG Ron C’s appearance on the project was contingent on the R. Kelly song, the 1998 single “Half on a Baby,” being cleared and credited.

“It has no significance no lyrics are present, r Kelly’s voice isn’t even present but if we wanted to use Ron c talking we were forced to license it,” he continued.

Screenshot of OVO40’s comments regarding R. Kelly’s inclusion on the ‘Certified Lover Boy’ album.

“Doesn’t sit well with me let me just say that. And I’m not here to defend drakes lyrics,” Shebib wrote. “But I thought I would clear up that there is no actual r Kelly present and it’s a bit misleading to call him a co lyricist.”

Shebib continued by sharing some of the things he is currently learning about the Chicago songwriter and producer through a book he is reading.

“It’s kinda wild cause I was just reading “Baby Girl” by Kathy Iandoli and the recounts of some of that stuff is horrific and disgusting. Then I saw this post and just had to say something because to think we would stand beside that guy or write with him is just incredibly disgusting.”

He further addressed the business aspect, he further commented, “I dont think we even knew about it until the final hours when through clearance we discovered it. At that point it’s about the integrity of the art for the artist and that’s not my place to mess with it. I’m an engineer ultimately my job is to help an artist deliver their vision. There’s lots I don’t agree with and I voice my opinion but I definitely don’t subscribe to all the lyrics. I’m worried about sound and sonics melodies and progressions that’s my place.”

“most likely his publisher got paid and I assume a lot of those assets are are already diverted, also to be clear, the value of that to him won’t cover his lawyer for a week lol! That song has multiple samples and tbh I don’t think there’s a lot there to go around,” he wrote.

Is Nicki Minaj Making More Threats Against The Defendant In The Ongoing Civil Case?

The victim in the case against Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty claims that the rapper and her husband are refusing the service of the latest summons and complaint.

And, according to Jennifer Hough’s lawyer, she will move for the court to publish the summons and complaint if the couple continues to dodge their obligations in the case.

https://twitter.com/TheFemaleSource/status/1434625416195710981?s=20

“We are writing to ask the court for an extension to serve the summons and complaint on Defendants Minaj and Petty,” writes Hough’s lawyer in a letter filed before New York Eastern District Court Judge Eric N. Vitaliano. “We are also asking the court to approve services of process via the U.S. Marshals office. If the U.S. Marshals are unsuccessful, we intend on petitioning the court for service of Process via Publication.”

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj took to her Instagram stories to ask if anyone was “outside” and wanted to make “$50k,” because she “had a job for them.” There’s some speculation that this “job” involved further harassment of Hough to get her to recant her statement against Petty.

https://twitter.com/TheFemaleSource/status/1434691785599733765?s=20

Recently, an associate of Kenneth Petty’s reportedly sent Hough a threatening message through Instagram. The associate, who went by the name of “Black,” reportedly offered Hough $20,000 in cash to recant her statement. When she refused, he began making public threats against her.

The US Pacer system confirms that Hough’s case against Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty continues to go forward. Both Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty are being sued by Hough for witness intimidation and intentional infliction of emotional distress for incidents that occurred in California and Georgia. Minaj is also being accused of aiding and abetting Petty.

NFL Gossip: Richard Sherman Allegedly Impregnated Side Chick Reina Westberg, And It’s Getting As Messy As You Think

Richard Sherman of the NFL better learn to strap up next time.

The word on the Internet street is, the former Super Bowl champ allegedly cheated on his wife, Ashley, with wannabe model Reina Westberg — and got her pregnant.

Reina got confronted about the situation over the phone, and WAGS Unfiltered dropped the video evidence on their YouTube page. Check it out below.

Predictably, Reina used all the typical insults that side chicks use when confronted about their trifling ways. Her accuser is, according to her, an “old-a## b####” who is so jealous of her.

Yeah, okay.

First of all, you’re not that cute — we’ve all seen far badder than you — and you look like every other 21-to-25-year-old photocopied Bratz doll on Instagram today. (Plus, your personality is stank — and there’s nothing attractive about that.) Second, though you don’t realize it now, it’s a privilege to grow old — one that many in the entertainment industry don’t get — so calling someone “old” isn’t the insult you think it is. Third, and perhaps most importantly, there’s nothing cute about a woman who goes out of her way to mess with a man that everybody knows is married. There’s absolutely nothing to be jealous of, sweetheart. Beauty fades, but stupid is forever.

It’d be a different story if, say, Richard Sherman didn’t make it known that he was married. But not only did you know he was married, but you actually take the time to fix your Juvederm-filled face to insult the man’s wife and the mother of his children on your Twitter page. Most amazingly of all, you actually wonder why people are coming at you sideways about it. The lack of self-awareness would be hilarious if it weren’t so sad…and it’s even sadder because now, there’s an innocent child in the middle of this all, who has to watch his or her mother act wild and crazy on social media for “the engagement.”

But hey, look on the bright side: your (alleged) baby daddy got you a photo booth. Stay winnin’, baby girl!

https://twitter.com/RSherman_25/status/1433230105841582080?s=20

Richard Sherman: a Stanford man with ICDC sensibilities. Good luck, sir. You’re gonna need it — especially in the inevitable divorce, and especially if you don’t have a prenup. And if you don’t, well, I hope Ashley takes you to the cleaners. And if she forgives you? Well, let it be known that she deserves far better than your trifling self.

Lil Uzi Vert Gets $24M Diamond Ripped Out of His Head

Lil Uzi Vert has suffered an injury.

In an interview with TMZ, the rapper revealed that the diamond, which he had implanted in his forehead as an “accessory” (now sir…), got ripped out of his forehead during the Rolling Loud festival.

“I had a show at Rolling Loud and I jumped into the crowd and they kind of ripped it out,” he said.

Apparently, the “Sanguine Paradise” rapper did a stage-dive during the infamous festival in Miami — at the same performance where DaBaby spewed his homophobic nonsense — and that’s when the incident happened.

Fortunately, though, the guilty fan didn’t take the diamond with him. Lil Uzi Vert said that he still had the pink bauble — which allegedly set him back $24 million — in his possession.

https://twitter.com/LILUZIVERT/status/1355560514542309381?s=20

Back in February 2021, Lil Uzi Vert took to his Instagram to share a video of the diamond getting implanted into his forehead. He later deleted the bloody video from his feed, because really, nobody wants to see that mess.

Later, he also claimed that he was suffering severe physical damage to his forehead due to the implant, and he would die if it wasn’t properly removed. But, he said, he implanted the “facial accessory” (now sir…) into his forehead because he was afraid he’d lose it otherwise. (Apparently, bank safes don’t exist anymore…)

The New Yeezy Slides Are Here, And…Well…You Take a Look

The new Yeezy Slides are here.

At 10:00 a.m. ET on September 6, Nordstrom and other retailers dropped the latest collection of shoes by Kanye West, with a retail value of $60 each.

The shoes are available in three colors: Soot (grey), Pure (white/off-white), and Glow (neon yellow). They’re available in both adult and children’s sizes — if you can find them, that is. You can check out a photo of the new Yeezy Slides below.

Naturally, it didn’t take long for the shoes to trend on Twitter as people rushed to try to get them — often with no luck — for shoes that look like the latest in Great Value fashions. I must be getting old because I sincerely don’t understand the hype (and this is coming from someone who actually likes the Donda album, so I appreciate the absurd).

To be fair, these Yeezy Slides seem a lot nicer than some of the other Yeezy shoes issued in the past. Certainly, they’re utilitarian — which is more than the sneakers can say — but are they worth $60? In my humble opinion, probably not. They’re no more, or less, sturdy than a slide by any other retailer (such as Adidas, for example). It’s also not worth spending $60 on a pair of shoes that your child will grow out of in a year. Have you seen how rough kids can be on shoes lately? You’re lucky if they last a season.

Still, if you absolutely must have the latest Yeezys, feel free to keep refreshing your preferred shop page…or you can contact your nearest street retailer, who will charge you three times the price. It’s your money, after all. Although, I have to ask: shouldn’t you be saving your money for dinner with Jay-Z?

Central Park Five Member, Yusef Salaam, Reportedly Wants To Run For Harlem State Senate Seat

Sources close to Yusef Salaam say that the Central Park Five member is gearing up to enter New York’s rough and rugged political scene. Reports claim that he is looking to run for Harlem’s state senate on the Democratic ticket.

According to the Daily News, Salaam is interested in filling the seat left empty by Harlem state Sen. Brian Benjamin. Benjamin seems to be benefitting from former Governor Andrew Cuomo’s demise and current Governor Kathy Hochul’s ascension amidst a sexual harassment scandal that rocked the state. Last week, the New York native has been nominated to be lieutenant governor, taking the seat left open by Hochul.

To no one’s surprise, Salaam’s candidacy will focus on wrongful conviction, criminal justice and prison reform, and police brutality.  As a member of the Central Park Five and a victim of the terrible injustice of racialized profiling often applied to Black and brown youth, he also plans to work on the abolition of juvenile solitary confinement.

The Central Park Five, Salaam, Kharey Wise, Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, and Raymond Santana, were exonerated after being arrested, convicted, and framed in a racially polarizing rape case in the 80s of a white female jogger in the Manhattan park. The exoneration came after another prison inmate, Matias Reyes, confessed to being the individual that actually raped the jogger.  DNA evidence supported his claim and was the linchpin to their freedom.

While some of his Central Park Five brothers served up to 13 years, he served seven after being wrongfully convicted on first-degree rape and robbery charges. His conviction was vacated five years after he was released from prison.

He shared with the NPR in 2021, “The overwhelming feeling that I have towards the police and prosecutors is that they knew that we had not done this crime. They knew it, but yet they chose to move forward. They built their careers off of our backs. And the law of karma caught up to them.”

Interestingly enough, Benjamin has not shifted into the new political position and is technically still in the political capacity, the 47-year-old Salaam is eyeing. Others eyeing the same seat are state Assembly members Al Taylor and Inez Dickens.

Diddy Teases Billion-Dollar ‘Mature & Sexy’ Business Venture

Diddy spent some time poolside with his beloved mother recently and took the time to tease a new business venture he is working on.

Posting on his Instagram stories yesterday, the multi-talented businessman took to showing off his mother, Janice Coombs, while sharing the news.

“Look at her, look at her. That’s my mama. Go, mama! God is so good that I get to have this moment with you and you flyer than a mothaf***er,” he says proudly while Mama Coombs poses for the camera.

He then tells her, “Yo, ma we about to get into business. We about to start making all products for everybody and it’s a little bit more mature and sexy. We gonna make a billion-dollar industry baby. I want you to start spending all the money. You can’t even spend all of it. It’s no way you can spend it as quick as I can make it!”

Bobby Shmurda Confronts Fan Who Threw Water Bottle at Him.

Bobby Shmurda was caught on video on Saturday at the “Made in America Festival” in Philly where he was appearing. He wasn’t due to perform until the following day but was in attendance to check out Meg Thee Stallion’s set. Out of nowhere, a fan hurled a water bottle in his direction, and it landed on Shmurda.

TMZ captured the incident on video, showing Bobby rushing towards a barricade, attempting to jump over it into the crowd. He is detained by members of his camp before he can get over. In the meantime, chaos ensues and the surrounding people are pushed out of the way. Thankfully, Bobby, who is on parole, was removed from the scene with the quickness by his entourage before things could go any further.

Bobby, who recently signed a new management deal with Roc Nation just dropped the video for his new track “No Time For Sleep (Freestyle).” The song is the first official release from the rapper since his release from prison back in February after seven years. In 2016 he had been sentenced to seven years in prison in a plea deal that he said he’d been “forced” into after a 2014 arrest.

He was denied parole in September but had good credit restored in early January. Bobby had said that he took the plea deal to help get a lower sentence for Rowdy Rebel, who was released from the same facility in December.

Shmurda was released from Clinton Correctional Facility on February 23. In 2016, he had been sentenced to seven years in prison in a plea deal that he said he’d been “forced” into after a 2014 arrest.

Although he had been denied parole in September, Shmurda had credit restored for good behaviour in early January. Bobby Shmurda had said that he had accepted the deal to help land a lighter sentence for Rowdy Rebel, who was released from Collins Correctional Facility in December.

Back in February, in a since-deleted post, Rowdy said: “I wouldn’t be here RN if yu Haven’t been the same genuine person I meet in elementary…. I never Seen yu fold or bend through treacherous time’s always thinking Nd doing for others,” Rowdy captioned a picture of the rapper. “I thank god I got a friend like you I could call a brother. I love yu like yu My Mama Kids ….see yu soon kid.”

Lil Uzi Says “Rolling Loud” Crowd Ripped Out His Diamond Facial Implant

Lil Uzi Vert revealed that the large pink diamond he had implanted in his forehead was ripped out when he jumped into the crowd at “Rolling Loud.”

Uzi spoke to TMZ who asked him about the missing rock. “I had a show at ‘Rolling Loud’ and I jumped in the crowd and they kinda ripped it out.” But don’t worry, Lil Uzi says he’s good because he’s still got the diamond! A barbell has replaced the diamond for the time being.

The rapper explained previously that he had the $24 million gem implanted in his forehead for safekeeping. He had to save up for years to buy it and feared that he would lose the diamond otherwise!

Back in February, the “XO Tour Llif3” rapper posted a gruesome photo of a trail of blood seeping from the diamond running down his forehead. He captioned the since deleted post: “If I don’t get it took out the right way I could die,” and added a crying with laughter emoji, followed by, “no seriously,” just in case you thought it was a joke!

The diamond was safely removed and then re-implanted in July for “Rolling Loud.”  He also revealed a new tongue tattoo.

Meek Mill recently recruited Uzi to appear on “Blue Notes 2”, a sequel to the track that originally appeared on Meek’s 2016 “DC4” mixtape. The pair were spotted filming a music video back in July which dropped last week.

This is the third time the pair have collaborated, the first time back in 2016 on another of Meek’s “DC4” tracks, “Froze,” alongside Nicki Minaj. The second time came a year later on Meek’s “Wins & Losses” track “Fu*k That Check Up.”

Meek co-directed the video alongside Kid Art.

Fat Joe Denies 50 Cent is “Scared” To Do a “Verzuz” Battle

Fat Joe and Ja Rule announced last month that they would be fighting it out against each other in a “Verzuz” battle. Both rappers had previously suggested 50 Cent as an opponent with Joe Crack saying Fif would be ideal. Back in December Ja Rule challenged 50 to step into the “Verzuz” ring with him. The “I Get Money” rapper declined the battle and trolled him instead.

At the time, Ja Rule suggested that Fiddy was too scared to take part in a “Verzuz” battle with him.

“Listen, man,” he said. “Everybody don’t want the smoke. Everybody don’t want this smoke. I got heat. Let me tell you something, when I do my shows, I can rock. I’m telling you, it’s like an hour of straight hit records. No filler. All crab meat, ni**a. This ain’t the joints with the — you know what I’m saying? All meat in that muthafu*king crab cake, ni**a. It’s all meat, ni**a.”

The Murda Inc. vet will be taking part, but against Fat Joe, who says fear has nothing to do with 50 Cent’s not taking part.

“Why y’all keep asking me about 50 Cent? We gave him the option,” he said on Instagram Live. “He did not want to go against me … He not doing the Verzuz.”

A post shared by FAT JOE (@fatjoe)

Frustrated by the persistent questions surrounding the long-proposed battle with 50 Cent he continued, “You keep askin’ me some sh*t I can’t help you with. And so, he don’t wanna do it. It’s not cause he scared or he’s not one of the greatest who ever lived, he just ain’t fu*king with that. I tell you what — 50 Cent gon’ be a billionaire, a real billionaire. You gotta understand, 50 Cent got a bunch of TV shows. TV. That’s not rap music. That’s a different type of money.”

The Terror Squad Captain didn’t say why 50 declined the battle but the two rappers previously had a long-running highly publicized feud which may well have been a factor.

Fat Joe and Ja Rule’s Verzuz will take place at 9 p.m. ET, Sept. 14 in New York City. The event will be live-streamed on the Verzuz Instagram page as well as the Triller and FiteTV apps. Tickets for the event go on sale on September 7.

Justin took to the stage after Doja Cat’s performance but his fans had to be asked repeatedly to step back from the stage before he came on.

The track officially dropped last month after only a day’s notice with WizKid taking to his socials to tease that “something special” was on the way. He then announced the official remix featuring Biebs who called it “the song of the summer.”

WizKid became the first Nigerian recording artist to have a record on the Billboard “Hot 100” chart, breaking into the charts at No. 82. The song rose steadily up the chart, cracking the top 20 in August and becoming the most “Shazamed” song in the country.

Last week, ‘Essence’ began trending on Twitter after Billboard reported that the remix reached number one on their R&B / Hip Hop charts. The song currently sits at No. 3.

Consequence Disses Drake On New Song “Party Time”

Consequence has dropped a diss track titled “Party Time,” taking shots at Drake over his long-standing beef with Kanye West.

The Queens rapper took to social media on Saturday to tease the song, just hours after Drake leaked an unreleased Kanye and Andre 3000 track, “Life Of The Party.” Drake appeared as a guest DJ on SiriusXM’s “Sound 42” radio show where he played the song which had Kanye taking shots at Drake.

Con then used Twitter to hint that he had something up his sleeve saying, “Since ‘Life of The Party’ got leaked… I guess it’s Party Time #QueensAllDay.”

“HotNewHipHop” then shared a text exchange they had with Consequence where the rapper suggested “party time” would be commencing at 8:00 pm ET. This inevitably led to speculation that perhaps West would be releasing the official version of the leaked track, “Life Of The Party.”

https://twitter.com/HotNewHipHop/status/1434231116190388225

Soon after, Cons dropped “Party Time,” a diss aimed at Drake addressing the issues between Drake and Kanye.  He debuted the song during an Instagram Live where he also directly addressed the leak.

“We gon’ figure out who the mole is, talkin’ to the homie. All is fair in love and war, trust me. There’s no emotion with me, man,” he said. “When I find out who givin’ s### out, oh, that na’s gonna get more than a wedgie, n*a. Believe that.”

On it Cons raps: “You been taking Ls and coming out the cage/And thought we couldn’t tell you were coming after K/But it never plays to oversell yourself (Uh-uh)/But most crabs are a shell of theyself.”

Referencing Trippie Redd, whose new song “Betrayal” features bars from Drake going at Kanye he raps: “Even the shotters in Toronto, know you tripping dread/I won’t trip, but Trippie left you dripping red,” and then mentioning Drizzy’s infamous stadium date he says, “Infrareds pointed at your cranium/Baby, this ain’t the date at Dodgers Stadium.”

Just in case there was any confusion as to who Consequence was firing at, he name-checks Aubrey, saying: “After this I’ll be the hero that everyone hate/But the 6 don’t got a chance against the 718/A problem with Drake only gives me more strength/’Cause that 40 found the dope ’til it becomes a four-fifth (Bow).”

Cons goes further saying: “Who told Aubs that he can play with them?/ That boy Cons can run the fade with them/ I wish we could shoot five instead of group chats/ Next time bring Chubbs when you shoot back.”

REVIEW: “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” Takes Marvel’s Universe Into Uncharted, BUT Familiar Territory

By Chris “Boogie” Brown

“Shang Chi” is the latest film in the MCU and one that has been long anticipated by many fans of this supremely underrated character in the pantheon of Marvel Heroes. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, “Shang Chi” follows the adventures of our lead character of the same name in one of the MCU’s best origin films in recent years.

After a spectacular opening sequence that narrates and sets the stage of the story, “Shang-Chi” introduces us to the character of “Shaun”, a valet driver who lives in the city of San Francisco, CA. On the surface, Shaun appears to be an every day, working-class citizen enjoying life with his best friend “Katy” (Awkwafina). However, Shaun carries a long-kept secret that is unknown to those around him: He is actually “Shang-Chi”, a Martial Arts Master who was trained from an early age. He is also the son of “Xu Wenwu”, a crime lord who is head of a criminal organization known as the “Ten Rings”. On one particular day, Shaun’s mysterious past catches up to his present as he and his best friend find themselves surprisingly under attack by henchmen from his Father’s crime organization. This intense encounter ultimately takes both Shaun and Katy across the globe so that Shaun can once and for all confront the past he put behind him and embrace the hero that his lineage has destined him to be.

“Shang Chi” is a unique film that is epic in scale and features elements of Martial Arts Action, Fantasy and Superhero-esque qualities you would come to expect from an origin feature of this ilk. The film’s storyline, unraveling mysteries, action & thrills all make “Shang Chi” both an entertaining & compelling film to watch. Obviously, the fewer details you know about the film’s actual plot, the more refreshing your viewing experience will be. However, I will say that for all of the thrills this film provides, “Shang Chi” also boasts a well-crafted story about Family that is both powerful & emotional. Within this family dynamic on display, the film showcases poignant character moments that are bound to resonate and make you actually care for the characters in the film. In addition, “Shang Chi” features a predominantly Asian cast which further bolsters Asian representation in Hollywood as well as introduces viewers to certain cultural aspects which add to the authenticity of the material.

However, for all the talk about the film’s engrossing story, what certainly can’t be overlooked is the action in “Shang Chi”. Simply put, the action here is awesome! Much of the impressive fight choreography and stuntwork found in “Shang Chi” can be credited to famed stunt coordinator, Bradley Allan who sadly passed away recently. Allan, who was a long-time member of Jackie Chan’s stunt team for years, not only planned the stunt work here but also acted as a second unit director for the fight scenes. That being said, the action and more specifically the fight sequences are explosive, entertaining, and worth the price of admission alone! In my opinion, this film has some of the best hand-to-hand combat we’ve seen in the MCU since “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”.

Many of the fights in key action sequences have a kinetic type of energy and come off authentic as lead actor Simu Liu himself has a background in Martial Arts, Gymnastics, and Stunt Work experience. Here, Simu’s character seems to alternate between the flowing style of Tai Chi, the more combative/close-quarters style of Wing Chun, and a more acrobatic Wu-Shu style reminiscent of a younger Jackie Chan. Speaking of Chan, there are certain fight sequences that pay direct homage to some of Jackie Chan’s famous fight scenes on film in which Shang Chi uses props & fixtures from his immediate surroundings during combat sequences. However, there are other Wuxia-inspired action sequences that are less grounded and more fantastical in nature. These sequences take place in a certain location in the film and are more akin to what you’ve seen in “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon” with CGI and fantasy elements blended in them. Nevertheless, regardless of the setting, I thought each of the action-oriented scenes was a blast to watch up on the big screen.

The last thing I’ll add about the action and fight sequences overall is that they are well directed and competently edited. The way the scenes are shot, the viewer can clearly see all the action taking place as the director appeared to know exactly how long to hold a wide-angle and when to cut to a close-up shot. In this way, we are able to feel the full effect & impact of the scenes which was a problem at times in the most recently released Martial Arts related film, “Snake Eyes”. The overall presentation of action here in “Shang Chi” is very smooth and comes off easy on the eyes.As far as the cast of the film, I’ll start by saying Simu Liu is absolutely amazing in this role and perfectly cast as the lead of the film. As Shaun/Shang Chi, he is very likable, engaging, charismatic, and most importantly, is able to believably handle the action and physicality needed for the role. Awkwafina, who portrays “Katy”, acts as Shang Chi’s voice of reason and also provides most of the film’s comedic bits, some of which hit and miss.

However, one of the biggest surprises here is the addition of the legendary Tony Leung who has an absolutely commanding performance as Shang Chi’s father, “Xu Wenwu”. While the character himself is already well written, Leung nearly steals the show in each of his scenes with his nuanced acting prowess and imposing presence. Additional standouts include actress Meng’er Zhang who portrays Shang-Chi’s sister, “Xialing” as well as the legendary Michelle Yeoh as Shang Chi’s Aunt, “Jiang Nan”. Seeing Michelle Yeoh in all of her glory here will definitely give you flashbacks to the aforementioned “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon”.If I had any criticism about the film,

it would be that after a pretty amazing first act, the second act slows down in spots with long scenes of exposition and dialogue that shows the past actions of certain characters in the film. This section of the film details the backstory of our lead’s complex family dynamic. Although I thought it was an effective storytelling method used to convey the overarching story, I could see how viewers could anticipate the pace being sped back up by a certain point. Other than that, there may have been a few contrived moments here and there where things may have been a bit “too” convenient for the lead Hero of the film. Lastly, I thought the extended inclusion of a certain character from a previous MCU film added very little to the movie and wasn’t very necessary in my opinion.

However, these are all minor nitpicks which in no way took away from my overall enjoyment of the film.Overall, “Shang Chi” features the perfect blend of traditional Martial Arts Action, Superhero Sensibilities, and Fantasy which results in one highly entertaining film! For me, this is Marvel’s best cinematic feature since “Avengers: Endgame” and one of the very best origin films on their roster. The film is well directed, has great cinematography, beautiful costume & production design, stunning VFX, and is backed by a great musical score.

Let me also add that when it comes to “Shang Chi” as a film, comparisons are sure to be made to 2018’s “Black Panther”. Aside from the respective display of cultural representation found in each, I can certainly see similar narrative choices found in “Black Panther” that have been executed here. However, despite minor similarities, there are enough differences from both a cultural and storyline standpoint that allow “Shang Chi” to stand on its own as yet another exciting entry into the MCU. Lastly, as you’ve probably guessed, there are TWO post-credit scenes that are definitely worth checking out! “Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings” is in Theatres now and if you are either a fan of Superheroes, Martial Arts, Action/Fantasy Films or all of the above, I definitely recommend checking this one out – Enjoy!

Grime Rapper Wiley Charged With Beating Up Friend During Burglary

Grime legend Wiley is in a world of trouble after he was accused of burglary and assault in the UK.

The controversial rapper is accused of beating up a former friend by the name of Ali Jacko, who owns a recording studio in the city.

According to reports, Wiley barged into Jacko’s home in East London and during some sort of dispute, the 42-year-old rapper let loose a barrage of punches and kicks.

Ali Jaco is no punk either.

He is a former five-time kickboxing champion turned filmmaker, musician, songwriter, and promoter.

Thankfully, Ali Jacko sustained minor injuries during Wiley’s rampage, which resulted in the rapper being charged by The Met Police.

According to the police, Wiley, born Richard Kylea Cowie Jr, has been charged with assault by beating and burglary dwelling – with intent to cause damage.

The assault is the latest controversy for Wiley.

In August of 2020, Wiley was banished from most major social media platforms, due to a series of anti-semitic rants which targeted chart-topping rapper and “Certified Lover Boy,” Drake.

“The system was configured perfectly for someone like Drake,” Wiley tweeted about Drake because his mother, Sandra “Sandi” Graham is Jewish.

“@Drake is everything I’m talking about… Get that anti-Semitic b####### out of here and take @drake with you on God,” Wiley fumed.

Additionally, Wiley said Jews “make me sick,” claimed Jewish people control too many businesses, and compared them to the Ku Klux Klan.

He also declared that Israel should not be a Jewish state.

The backlash against the rapper was swift. In addition to being banned from social media, his longtime manager dropped him as a client.

Wiley eventually apologized, but his backtracking did little to quell the controversy he unleashed.

“My comments should not have been directed to all Jews or Jewish people,” Wiley said. “I want to apologize for generalizing, and I want to apologize for comments that were looked at as anti semitic.”

Kanye And Drake In New Battle – For Biggest Album Of 2021

Drake and Kanye West are involved in another beef.

This time they are fighting over the title for 2021’s biggest album!

Kanye is on his way to the top of the charts with his 10th album, DONDA.

Kanye has also earned the biggest release of 2021 (so far) with his new album.

Ye’s album has moved over 520,000 equivalent units since its release on Sunday, August 29th.

DONDA also racked up 442 million streams on Spotify, while Apple Music has clocked 242 million streams.

The release set an Apple Music all-time record, by shooting to the top of the charts in 152 countries after it was released.

DONDA landed Kanye West some new, career milestones as well by giving the rapper his first number one debuts in France, Italy and Sweden.

Kanye’s victory maybe short-lived, thanks to the release of Drake’s latest album Certified Lover Boy.

Drake’s album did 230 million streams on the first day, breaking records on both on Spotify and Apple Music.

Certified Lover Boy is expected to move between 550,000 and 650,000 equivalent units which would best Kanye and his claim to have the year’s biggest album.

EXCLUSIVE: R. Kelly Had Sex With Underaged Aaliyah On Tour Bus According To Jane Doe #7

Prosecutors trying for sexual racketeering R. Kelly are asking a judge to allow shocking testimony from a witness – who says she witnesses the disgraced singer abusing Aaliyah.

A woman only known as Jane Doe #7 claims R. Kelly started abusing her in 1991 when she was a minor.

The woman is prepared to testify that she witnessed R. Kelly having sex with Aaliyah in 1994 when she was just 15-years-old.

“Jane Doe Number Seven is prepared to testify that in light of her relationship with the defendant, which included the fact that they had sexual contact with each other when she was a minor, she was in a position to view the defendant engaged in sexual activity with Jane Doe Number One [Aaliyah],” according to a bombshell document prosecutors just filed and obtained by AllHipHop.com.

Jane Doe #7’s testimony is crucial because R. Kelly is charged with directing one of his employees to bribe a government official, who falsified an identification card for Aaliyah.

R. Kelly misrepresented her age as 18 – even though she was 15 – so he could marry her.

The singer’s ex-tour manager Demetrius Smith testified that R. Kelly illegally tied the knot with Aaliyah because she was pregnant and he thought the scheme would keep him out of prison for having sex with the late, underage singer.

If the government allows Jane Doe #7’s testimony, she is prepared to reveal the following:

Jane Doe #7 went to R. Kelly’s Chicago apartment in 1991 with another teen, who was an aspiring singer.

When they arrived, Demetrius Smith was present at the apartment with R. Kelly, who took the children to separate rooms where he initiated and engaged in sexual intercourse with Jane Doe #7 and another teen.

By 1992, Jane Doe #7 was part of a girl group that provided background vocals and dancing for R. Kelly as he toured. Around this time, Jane Doe #7 met Aaliyah, who was just 13-years-old at the time.

R. Kelly told Jane Doe #7 that she was supposed to become part of Aaliyah’s “posse.”

Subsequently, while traveling as a back-up dancer on tour with the defendant along with Jane Doe #1 and others, Jane Doe #7 observed the defendant engage in sexual contact with Jane Doe #1 in a room at the back of his tour bus.

Prosecutors argue Jane Doe #7’s evidence regarding Aaliyah is crucial because her testimony would demonstrate “the relationship of trust and loyalty between the defendant and Smith and helps explain why he would confide in Smith regarding the true nature of his relationship with Jane Doe #1 and his need to marry Jane Doe #1 as a minor.”

Currently, the government is planning to call Jane Doe #7 as a witness at trial on Friday, September 10, 2021.

Mally Mall Heading Off To Prison For Pimping Hundreds Of Women

“Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” star Mally Mall just headed off to prison for a few years for running illegal escort businesses in Las Vegas.

Mally was convicted of setting up shell companies to run a prostitution ring for at least 12 years in Clark County, according to prosecutors.

Mally took in large sums of money from his escort businesses, which allegedly prostituted hundreds of women.

But he never had legitimate permits for the companies, which operated from 2002 through 2014.

In 2014, Mally was charged after a dramatic raid on his home in Las Vegas.

A police helicopter landed in his front yard, as an armored vehicle commandeered by FBI agents knocked down the front gate of his mansion.

During Mally Mall’s trial, multiple women testified that they had been manipulated, traumatized, and humiliated by Mally.

He was also accused of verbally and physically abusing some of the victims who were imprisoned and enslaved according to the judge who sentenced him.

In October of 2019, Mally Mall, born Jamal Rashid, struck a plea deal with prosecutors to avoid dozens of years in prison.

He pleaded guilty to the use of an interstate facility to aid in the unlawful activity of prostitution.

Prosecutors sentenced Mally to the maximum penalty of 33 months. He will also have to service months of probation when he is finally released.

“Mally Mall over the last several years had dedicated his life to music and helping people,” Mally Mall said in a statement to TMZ.com. “He has fully recognized the error in his ways and has gone out of his way to try to make amends. He intends to take full advantage of each and every program offered by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.”

In addition to starring in “Love & Hip Hop,” Mally Mall is a noted producer. He has crafted tracks for Snoop Dogg, Tyga, French Montana, Pusha T, Chris Brown, and others.

Lil Nas X Learning How To Manage His Emotions After Fast Rise To Fame And Fortune

Lil Nas X has learned to have “full faith in himself” which has helped him manage his emotions better.

The 22-year-old musician thinks he has changed a lot since bursting into the public eye and is able to react better to certain situations and ignore negative comments.

He told People magazine: “I’ve changed in so many ways. “I’ve changed the way that I handle a lot of situations, the way I manage my sadness and anger and just understanding that I don’t have to react to emotions in certain ways.

“I can’t choose how I feel, but I can choose how to react. I’ve learned to let people’s comments roll off my back.”

And while working on his debut album Montero – which will be released later this month – Nas learned to “have full faith” in himself and realized his is the only opinion that matters.

He added: “The only person that really has to believe in me is myself. It’s been a lot of self-affirmations this year that I probably would not have been able to do two years ago.”

The “Old Town Road” hitmaker has marked the impending release of his album with an over-the-top pregnancy shoot, complete with fake bump and a flower crown, and he explained he came up with the idea after listening to Megan Thee Stallion’s verse on his track Dolla Sign Slime for the first time.

He said: “I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is amazing,’ so I immediately called my stylist.

“She was like, ‘Wow, this all comes together. Your album. Your baby.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, this is my baby, huh?’ As a joke, she was like, ‘Yeah, you should do a pregnancy shoot.’

“I was like, ‘You know what? That’s actually brilliant.’ So now we have this entire thing coming out, and it’s going to be amazing.”

And asked if the record is an immaculate conception, he said: “I guess I am the father as well as the mother.

“But I guess the producers who worked on it are like the dads too. Or maybe uncles.”
