EXCLUSIVE: Damon Dash Classic Movie “State Property” Could Head To Auction Block

Damon Dash could lose the rights to his cult-classic film State Property and other prized assets as a California court weighs a request to auction off his intellectual property and personal belongings due to years of legal defiance in a bitter lawsuit with filmmaker Josh Webber.

The legal showdown stems from a long-running dispute over the 2019 film Dear Frank, which Dash allegedly misrepresented as his own project after being removed from production.

The legal battle ended with an $805,000 ruling in 2022 over copyright infringement and defamation tied to Dear Frank.

Damon Dash was found liable after failing to participate in mediation, missing court deadlines, and refusing to submit required filings.

The fallout has since snowballed into multiple court judgments, including a $4 million defamation ruling in 2025 after Dash publicly called Webber a “d***head” and accused him of theft during an appearance on the _Earn Your Leisure_ podcast.

Webber claims the comments cost him a $4 million directing deal on a Billy Bob Thornton project.

Now, Webber and his company, Muddy Water Pictures, are asking the court to authorize the sale of Dash’s assets—including copyrights to films like State Property, Honor Up, and Mr. Untouchable—to recover unpaid legal fees and damages.

The plaintiffs say Dash and his companies, including Poppington LLC and Dash Films Inc., have repeatedly ignored court orders to turn over financial documents and other discovery materials since 2019.

According to court filings, Damon Dash’s noncompliance has persisted despite prior monetary sanctions.

Plaintiffs argue that harsher penalties are necessary, including the forced sale of his intellectual property and personal items such as Roc-A-Fella chains, an engagement ring, and a collection of gold and diamond jewelry.

The court is being asked to compel Dash to hand over all relevant documentation, including operating agreements and ownership records, so the U.S. Marshal can proceed with the asset sale.

The film at the center of this potential loss, State Property, holds a significant place in early 2000s Hip-Hop cinema.

Released in 2002, the gritty crime drama starred Beanie Sigel and featured appearances from Jay-Z and other Roc-A-Fella artists.

Produced by Dash, the movie became a cult favorite for its portrayal of street ambition and its deep ties to the Hip-Hop world. It also spawned a sequel and helped cement Dash’s reputation as a cultural tastemaker in urban film.

But that legacy now hangs in the balance.

The plaintiffs are targeting Dash’s business entities—including Blackroc LLC, The Dash Group LLC, Lebanon Improvements LLC, Ocean East Improvements LLC, and 1996 Songs LLC—to satisfy the court’s judgments.

SZA And Dancer Almost Take A Fall In Dance Routine

I don’t know who SZA has doing the hiring for her dancers, but this guy might be on his way out. While on tour with Kendrick Lamar, she apparently had a full-on mishap that almost ended in a fall. During a routine, one of her dancers was supposed to pick her up—or hold her or something—and completely fumbled it.

Now, I’ve seen some comments online where people are making fun of her, claiming she’s overweight, and I have to disagree with that completely. First of all, she looks fine in the video. Second, if you’re a professional dancer and your job is to lift someone during a performance, that’s literally your job. Even if it were someone heavier—say, Lizzo—the person assigned to do the lift should be trained and qualified. The way SZA looked at him afterward? Like, “I’m gonna kill you.”

So, what’s gonna happen to him? Honestly, I think he might get fired. Or maybe he’ll just get a slap on the wrist and they’ll swap him out for someone else on the next couple of dates. Either way, people are going way too hard on SZA over this. She’s 35, in her prime, and still has so much ahead of her. Folks need to relax.

That said, yeah—it was funny. I was tickled pink when I saw the video. But it wasn’t anything wild or worth getting embarrassed over. It just looked awkward more than anything else.

Is CBD Legal to Grow at Home? What You Need to Know in 2025

CBD is everywhere in 2025. It comes in a variety of products from oils and capsules to skincare and pet treats. But if you’re serious about quality, growing your own plants is unbeatable. Before you put a seed in the ground, though, you need to know where the law stands because one mistake could cost you everything.

At Cannabiz Seed, we don’t just sell seeds; we live and breathe compliance. Laws around CBD-compliant cannabis seeds for legal home grows aren’t simple, and they’re not the same everywhere. Knowing your rights and choosing the right strain is how you protect your grow, your investment, and yourself.

Here’s what you need to know to stay safe and grow smart this year.

CBD and the Law in 2025

You’d think by now it would be straightforward. It’s not. Some places love CBD, but they’re still skittish about home-grown cannabis, even if it’s non-psychoactive.

Every region has its own quirks. Some countries allow small grows with clear limits; others enforce bans like it’s 1995. If you’re planning to grow, you need real facts and not mere assumptions.

You need to constantly track the shifts because laws can change mid-season, and ignorance won’t protect you when they do. Neither will good intentions.

United States: State by State Minefield

Federal law says hemp (cannabis under 0.3% THC) is legal. But the feds don’t control your backyard —your state does. And the rules change from federal to state as fast as the weather.

In states like Oregon and Colorado, home growing is fully embraced. In places like Idaho and Nebraska? Forget it as it’s still treated like high-THC cannabis. Some states let you grow hemp with a permit, others allow a few plants for personal use, and a few slam you with felony charges for even trying.

Here’s the bottom line: never plant before you check local law. Your whole season and your freedom depends on it.

Canada: Four Plants, but Check the Fine Print

Since 2018, Canadian adults can grow up to four cannabis plants at home including CBD. Sounds simple enough, but there’s a catch: provinces can (and do) tweak the rules.

Quebec and Manitoba, for example, banned home growing outright. Other provinces allow it but pile on restrictions about visibility, fencing, and security.

One thing you have to remember is that Canada doesn’t care if your plant is high-CBD or high-THC. A cannabis plant is a cannabis plant under the law. Stay discreet, stay compliant, and stick to the limits.

Europe: One Continent, Endless Confusion

Across Europe, CBD is mostly legal. Growing your own plants? That’s a mess.

In Switzerland and the Czech Republic, low-THC cannabis grows are permitted. In France and Sweden, it’s banned in totality. Even within the European Union, there’s no unified rule which means that each country interprets hemp cultivation differently.

So what is the EU definition of hemp you ask? The EU standard is clear: hemp must stay under 0.2% or 0.3% THC, depending on local law. The enforcement is, however, inconsistent. If you’re in Europe and planning to grow CBD, double-check everything and then check it again.

Choosing the Right Strains

Let us first get down to the two kinds of CBD strains in the market.

High CBD Low THC

The first variety contains high levels of CBD with minimal to non-existent THC that is contained below the conventional 0.3% viability mark.

These seeds were created for the legal markets where THC is banned. They also serve cannabis enthusiasts looking to get started with the therapeutic potential of cannabinoids without its psychoactive nature.

High CBD High THC

These seeds are rich in both cannabinoids with THC surpassing the 0.3% mark. In most strain cases, this variety was bred for maximizing the entourage effect for medical users. Nevertheless, these strains remain psychoactive despite the CBD countering the buzz from the THC.

Which is Best for Me?

We have already had an overview of what the law says in the major cannabis markets. All you should know is that if your crop tests above the limit,  even by a fraction, you’re on the hook. Fines, forced destruction, even criminal charges are real risks.

At Cannabiz Seeds bank, we have CBD seeds that meet these legal THC thresholds, backed by reputable lab tests with full documentation. Our genetics are bred to stay stable, and productive.

Key Takeaways

Growing CBD at home in 2025 is possible but it’s not lawless. You need knowledge, caution, and the right genetics to do it legally and well.

  • Know your local laws. Don’t guess.
  • Stay under the THC limit — always.
  • Source your seeds from professionals who understand compliance, not random online sellers.
  • When in doubt, talk to a lawyer, not a forum.

At Cannabiz Seed, we’re growers first and sellers second. We know what it takes to run a compliant, successful CBD grow in today’s complex legal world. And we’ve built our seed bank to give you exactly what you need to do it right.

Ready to start your grow the smart way? Shop compliant CBD seeds at Cannabiz Seed — and grow with confidence in 2025.

EXCLUSIVE: Feds Produce 911 Call Claiming Diddy Burglarized Victim’s Los Angeles Home

Sean “Diddy” Combs faces mounting legal pressure as federal prosecutors prepare to call his former employees to testify while also seeking to introduce a 911 call they say could severely damage his defense.

The Government alleges that in December 2011, the Hip-Hop mogul broke into a Los Angeles residence where a victim had been staying.

Prosecutors say the victim called 911 shortly after discovering the break-in and they plan to use that call as evidence at trial.

“Because this call was made shortly after discovering the break-in… Individual 2’s statements are nevertheless admissible because they were made close in time to when he observed the break-in at his home,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Matthew Podolsky

They claim the 911 call reflects the victim’s mental state during the incident and offer more proof Diddy was leading a violent criminal enterprise.

The 911 call is just one piece of a broader strategy prosecutors are building as they pursue three felony counts against Diddy, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution.

In addition to the call, the Government plans to introduce testimony and communications from Diddy’s former employees, security guards and assistants, including text messages and recordings.

Prosecutors say these statements are directly tied to the employees’ roles in serving Diddy and are relevant to the alleged criminal enterprise.

“At trial, the Government anticipates introducing multiple statements made by the defendant’s employees… Those statements will be offered as exhibits (including text messages sent by the defendant’s employees and recordings of the defendant’s employees), as well as through the testimony of witnesses. These statements cover a variety of different topics, but they all center around the employees’ core job responsibilities of serving the defendant,” Podolsky said.

The Government is also asking the court to block Diddy from introducing his own prior statements unless they meet specific legal exceptions.

They want to prevent the defense from presenting arguments about his character or suggesting the charges are politically motivated or retaliatory.

Diddy is accused of participating in a racketeering conspiracy from 2004 to 2024, which allegedly involved kidnapping, arson and violence.

He is also charged with sex trafficking a victim between 2009 and 2018 and transporting multiple people—including three alleged sex trafficking victims and male sex workers—across state lines for prostitution between 2009 and 2024.

His trial is scheduled to begin on May 5. The judge has not yet ruled whether the 911 call will be admitted as evidence.

Snoop Dogg Turns Easter & 4/20 Into A Holiday With A Cartoon Bong Ride

Snoop Dogg marked an unusual cosmic overlap — Easter Sunday falling on April 20 — with a weed-themed twist only he could pull off.

The rap icon posted a meme of himself dressed head-to-toe in a pastel pink Easter Bunny costume, holding a basket of rainbow-colored eggs with a knowing grin, blending resurrection and reefer into one surreal image.

The rapper, entrepreneur, and longtime cannabis connoisseur used the rare holiday crossover to poke fun at his dual obsessions: holidays and herbs.

For the uninitiated, April 20 — better known as 4/20 — is internationally recognized as an unofficial holiday celebrating marijuana culture.

What began as a police radio code and underground meeting time for pot smokers has grown into a mainstream phenomenon centered around advocacy, legalization and of course, lighting up.

Easter, a moveable feast on the Christian calendar, just happened to align with 4/20 this year — an overlap that hasn’t occurred since 2014 and won’t happen again until 2091.

To mark the holy-high occasion, Snoop dropped an animated video for his remix of “Last Dance with Mary Jane,” featuring Jelly Roll and the late Tom Petty, from his most recent album Missionary.

The trippy, AI-generated visual follows a younger version of Snoop in the streets of Long Beach.

Ducking bullets and sidestepping gang life, animated Snoop eventually escapes it all — flying skyward on a giant, smoking bong, a surrealist nod to his lifelong connection with cannabis.

The “Last Dance with Mary Jane” video is now available on YouTube and streaming platforms.

Boosie’s Health Scare and Hospitalization: What’s Really Going On?

Boosie and hospital visits don’t usually go hand-in-hand in a good way! But the Baton Rouge rapper had fans worried recently. A medical scare played out online. The Badazz is known to say anything on Instagram shocked us again. He had a medical scare and went straight to perform at a concert right after.

Yes, you read that right.

Boosie posted a video of himself, spitting all over the place. This is not the first we have heard of this, but we’ll touch base with that shortly. After spitting, he claimed he left the hospital and still performed at the show. For more on this, click below:

So let me take you back a ways.

Boosie has publicly battled diabetes for years and let’s not forget he survived kidney cancer. But instead of turning over a new health leaf, Boosie has doubled down on his “life is short, so eat badly and smoke more” lifestyle. Fried food, clouds of weed, and liquor all up in his arteries. And now, the rumors sat he’s got: Left Atrial Enlargement(LAE).

For those who aren’t brushing up on cardiology, LAE is a condition where the left atrium of the heart expands due to increased pressure or volume. It’s often tied to hypertension (yep, high blood pressure), diabetes, or other cardiovascular problems. It can lead to atrial fibrillationblood clots, or even a stroke if left untreated. You cannot take this lightly.

Boosie being Boosie is yelling for help on the Gram, but also highly concerned with getting back to the bag. Is the hustle now self-harm? He’s got money, fame, fans, and children! He’s gotta relax!

The fans are worried! I am hoping Boosie takes this seriously. Surviving cancer and managing diabetes should’ve been the wake-up call. Maybe LAE will get him to pick up a salad and out down the phone for a bit.

EXCLUSIVE: Diddy Granted Access To Draft Copies Of Cassie’s Memoir

Diddy scored a limited courtroom win when a federal judge ruled that he could obtain prior drafts of an unpublished memoir believed to have been written by Cassie Ventura, a key witness expected to testify against him in his upcoming criminal trial.

U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian denied a motion to block the release of earlier versions of the manuscript that had already been turned over to the government, ordering that they be produced to Diddy’s legal team by April 25.

Diddy, who faces a sweeping federal indictment that includes sex trafficking and racketeering charges, has maintained his relationship with Ventura was consensual and disputes her claims of abuse.

His legal team argues the memoir contains inconsistencies that could help discredit her testimony.

Attorney Anna Estevao, representing Diddy, said the draft manuscript contradicts Ventura’s current statements and is crucial to the defense.

Ventura’s attorneys, backed by federal prosecutors, attempted to block the subpoena, arguing it was invasive and irrelevant. But the court sided partially with Diddy, allowing access only to the versions already in the government’s possession.

The judge denied Diddy’s attempt to get related materials, including diaries, notes, emails and financial records.

The case gained national attention after surveillance footage surfaced showing him physically assaulting Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel hallway.

The video, released earlier this year, prompted widespread backlash and a public apology from Combs, who said, “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now.”

A separate battle over the admissibility of the video is raging, with Diddy’s freedom in the hands of Judge Subramanian, who has yet to rule on the particularly damning piece of evidence.

Diddy’s criminal trial is set to begin May 5 in federal court.

Lil Wayne Speaks With Tony Hawk About How His Video Games Led To New Generation Of Skaters

Lil Wayne recently recruited professional skateboarding legend Tony Hawk for a conversation about the upcoming reboot of his Tony Hawk Pro Skater (THPS) franchise video game.

During the latest episode of Weezy’s Young Money Radio podcast with Apple Music, Lil Wayne and Tony Hawk opened up about the lasting impact of the THPS franchise—and how the upcoming remake of THPS 3 + 4 is set to push that legacy even further.

In the process of the two reminiscing over a game that became a cultural shift, both Hawk and Wayne remarked on the relationship between the evolution of the game and growth of the skaters and gamers, who grew up playing THPS. Lil Wayne, a longtime fan of the series and a skater himself, couldn’t hide his excitement, especially when it came to playing the game with his kids.

“Shout out to my sons,” Lil Wayne said. “Y’all already know I’m gonna get a head start on y’all on this game. Y’all already know I’m ready for whatever. And they older now, so we could bet.”

Wayne also remarked on the fact that, for many people, the THPS games weren’t just fun, they were the first time skating made its way into living rooms and inspired real-life flips and grinds.

“People were landing tricks in the game before they could even try them in real life, like me,” Wayne admitted.

Hawk, who’s seen the franchise go from pipe dream to global phenomenon, revealed he never anticipated the level of influence the games would have.

“No, not at all,” Hawk said when asked if he foresaw the impact. “I hoped people would play it, maybe be inspired to skate. That would’ve been amazing. But that happened over and over and over.”

Hawk later revealed what really shocked him was how the wild, imaginative trick combos from the game, once thought as impossible, are now standard among elite skaters.

“That was just, we put that in there because it was fantastical,” Hawk said. “It was like, ‘this would be amazing, but you can’t do it in real life,’ Now they do that. You’re talking about Nyjah [Houston] and Shane O’Neal. Yuto [Watanabe]. They grew up thinking that stuff’s possible because they did it in a video game.”

Even Wayne could hardly believe what Hawk was saying as the conversation progressed from there. The Young Money mastermind, who has been skating for about a decade now, recently turned pro in 2023 after being sponsored by Thank Skateboards—and even he is still impressed by the level of skill skateboarders are honing at even younger ages, now.

“A 1260?” he exclaimed as Hawk described the real-life tricks now being pulled off by today’s skaters. “Come on, man, how could your body spin that many times in the air?” Wayne questioned rhetorically.

SZA Introduced Not Beauty After Months Of Low-Key Hype

SZA debuted her new vegan lip gloss line, Not Beauty, after quietly wearing the product since her Super Bowl Halftime Show performance with Kendrick Lamar in February.

The Grammy-winning singer has been discreetly showcasing her Not Beauty glosses for months, slipping the product into her public appearances without tipping off the public.

“Every time that you’ve ever seen me with any sort of color recently, I am 100 percent wearing Not Beauty lip gloss,” she told Vogue.

The line launched with three shades: the soft pink “In the Flesh,” the berry-toned “Strawberry Jam” and a clear gloss named “Quartz.”

SZA said her favorite shades are the first two, which she’s been using to enhance her lips with what she calls a low-effort, high-impact finish.

“I love the look of my lips with some sort of blush or tint to them. Not too much, because my lips are big and I don’t like to leave them shapeless,” she said. “My lip combo requires minimal effort, maximum result, and high shine.”

SZA, born Solána Rowe, emphasized that Not Beauty isn’t just another celebrity cosmetics line trying to follow in the footsteps of Rihanna, Selena Gomez or Ariana Grande.

“Not Beauty wasn’t about me trying to enter the beauty market, it’s about me filling a need, it’s about me needing something that lasted as long as my show, as long as my conversation, as long as my date. There was nothing that existed that did that for me and also made me feel moisturized,” she said in a statement.

The cruelty-free, vegan glosses will be available at pop-up shops during her upcoming Grand National Tour with Kendrick Lamar, which begins Saturday in Minnesota.

SZA also revealed plans to grow the brand with lip stains, liners and creams in the future.

Prof Headlining Historic Red Rocks For First Time After Initially Saying “Hell No!” To The Idea

Prof is a seasoned performer at this point in his career. For more than 20 years, the triple threat (yes, he can sing and rap but can entertain the hell out of a crowd with his charisma) has been honing his craft at venues around the world, bringing a healthy mix of bravado, talent and a dash of irreverence to the stage.

But for as confident as Prof seems to be, his headlining show at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado, on April 26 has him a little shook. In fact, he tells AllHipHop he initially said “no” to the opportunity. AEG Presents Talent Buyer Adam Stroul first proposed the idea.

“I said, ‘Oh, hell no. I’m not ready,'” he admits. “I’m like, ‘No, no, not yet.’ And then I called up Wonka and I go, ‘Listen to this. This m########### thinks we should headline Red Rocks.’ And Wonka goes, ‘Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no way.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, that’s crazy.’ Then I called my f###### tour manager and she said no so quickly and harsh that it hurt my f###### feelings. But Adam just kept on taking these steps. And then I was like, ‘F### it. Whatever. I’ll try this s###.'”

A post shared by Prof (@profgampo)

Prof will have a couple of shows ahead of the Red Rocks date to warm up or, as he puts it, get more reps in. Even though Red Rocks is a dream destination for artists, he’s not “pinching” himself—it’s more than that.

“I’m more like slapping myself,” he says. “It’s like, ‘Get ready, wake the f### up.’  It’s the first show I’ve been nervous for in a very long time. We’re taking my stage production and doubling it or tripling it in size and complexity, too. I like to take my team who’s been loyal along with me, so we don’t know what the f### we’re doing. We’re leveling up so much. The stage production is so much bigger. There’s so many failure points. If it does fail, it’s just me on that stage.”

But, deep down, there’s a sense Prof knows he’s going to kill it. He adds, “When the music starts, there’s no coming back. I’m just ready to get going. I’m glad that we have other big shows leading up to it so we can work out the kinks and stuff. I’m trying a lot of risky stuff. I’ve made a dumb ass decision not to do the same thing. I’m doing all the risky s###.”

Prof will have reinforcement from several special guests, including Danny Brown, That Mexican OT and JPEGMAFIA. He’s been working on the set for two to three months in hopes of delivering a memorable experience for his loyal Gampos. The magnitude of headlining a show at Red Rocks isn’t lost on Prof.

“I can remain grateful just because of how long it took,” he says. “If I had just started rapping a year ago and I was young, I’d probably be like, ‘Oh, this is mine. I’m owed this.’ But this has taken so long, and I’ve worked so hard. I’ve put blood, sweat, tears, sacrifice and all that stuff into this. It’s a different perspective, and I’m very grateful for it.”

Prof’s vision for a Red Rocks show was sparked around 2012, not long after Macklemore blew up with “Thrift Shop.” Macklemore happened to have a show at Red Rocks the same night Prof was in town, so he decided to go. As he watched the performance from backstage, he couldn’t help but wonder if that kind of platform would ever be in his future.

“This is when he was really popping, like straight off of The Heist or something like that,” he recalls. “I remember being like, ‘H########, this place is crazy.’ And the show was big. I remember being like, ‘I don’t know if I’ll get to this level.” Evidently, he did.

Prof’s latest album, Horse, arrived in 2023. He’ll be playing music from his entire catalog along with plenty of surprises. Doors open at 5 p.m. MT. Find tickets here.

Post Malone Drops Big News About His Next Album – It’s Coming Soon

Post Malone has already stacked up “probably 35 songs” for his next album and says new music is coming “very, very soon” as he continues his country detour in Nashville.

The chart-topping artist confirmed to Billboard that he’s deep into work on his seventh studio project following the release of his 2024 country album F-1 Trillion.

He’s made two recent trips to Music City to lay down tracks and hinted that the upcoming record will carry the same country flavor.

“(I’ve) made probably 35 songs; it’s just a matter of which one’s rock and which one’s sock,” he told the outlet.

Malone, 29, said his band has already recorded some of the songs and praised their performance in the studio.

“They’re f###### killing it… I sit there and listen to these songs, and I usually hate listening to my music but listening to the band play, I get so excited,” he said. “We’ll have some music releasing very, very soon.”

The Texas native, known for genre-hopping between Hip-Hop, pop and rock, said working on F-1 Trillion helped him rediscover the joy of making music.

“I was like, ‘f### it, let’s go to Nashville. Let’s give it a go.’ I think finally bringing the fun back into what I was doing really showed on the record,” he said. “And I think a lot of folks had fun listening to it. And we’re going to attempt to do it again. I’m excited to keep going.”

Post Malone has not yet announced a release date for the new album.

Kendrick Lamar Mocks Drake Before Launching Into “Not Like Us” During GNX Tour Opening Night

Kendrick Lamar‘s Grand National Tour got underway on Saturday night (April 19) at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Shortly before he launched into his now-infamous diss track, “Not Like Us,” he mocked Drake’s “drop, drop, drop” lyrics as part of a pre-recorded skit. Of course, the sold-out crowd erupted into a collective roar as he sailed through the chart-topping track.

As with everything else, the moment was caught on video and spread quickly on social media, making Kendrick Lamar a trending Twitter topic.

The Grand National Tour, which also features SZA, continues April 23 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas before it heads overseas in July. A set list from the Minneapolis show has already been shared online, revealing a staggering number of songs from both artists. They also teamed up to perform several of their collaborative tracks, including “All the Stars,” “Love,” “Luther” and “Gloria.”

Those hoping to hear “Not Like Us” early on in the concert are likely out of luck. He doesn’t perform it until nearly the very end of the performance. All in all, the set is comprised of more than 50 songs.

It’s been nearly a year since Kendrick Lamar and Drake started beefing. Since then, the former Top Dawg Entertainment artist has collected multiple Grammy Awards for “Not Like Us” and performed it during the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.

For Drake’s part, he decided to file a legal complaint against Universal Music Group—his label home for more than a decade—for allegedly promoting the defamatory track. Most recently, Drake and his legal team filed an amended complaint in which they accuse Lamar’s Super Bowl performance to “assassinate Drake’s character.”

In UMG’s response to the complaint, the company appeared to warn Drake about the possible ramifications of his actions while also suggesting his legal counsel was misleading him.

“Drake, unquestionably one of the world’s most accomplished artists and with whom we’ve enjoyed a 16-year successful relationship, is being misled by his legal representatives into taking one absurd legal step after another,” the company said in a statement. “Both the Texas and New York proceedings are an affront to all artists and creative expression. Should his legal representatives senselessly keep the New York lawsuit alive, we will demonstrate that all remaining claims are without merit.”

Lil King Drops Stinging, Insulting Diss At Finesse2Tymes

Lil King aimed straight at his former mentor, Finesse2Tymes, in a newly surfaced diss track video in a studio surrounded by adults.

The 12-year-old Memphis rapper, also known as FNG King, appeared in a clip posted online performing on a remix of “They Can’t Stop The Hustle” by Taki Willis and T-Rell.

https://www.instagram.com/p/DIoNhS\_uEY2/?img\_index=1

In the video, Lil King raps, “say he got some motion but his ass a joke/I know he living with his mama/know that n#### broke,” with the adlib “2tymes” punctuating the verse.

The video comes after a year of public tension between the child rapper and Finesse2Tymes, who had once taken King under his wing.

Their relationship soured following a custody dispute that escalated into a physical altercation between Finesse2Tymes and Lil King’s guardian outside a Texas smoke shop in October 2023.

Lil King later accused the rapper of trying to mold him into someone he wasn’t.

“You came and got me for who I am, and then you’re gonna try to change me,” he said in a previous interview.

He also criticized Finesse2Tymes for airing their personal issues online, which he claimed risked Child Protective Services involvement with his family.

Finesse2Tymes, for his part, said he disciplined King for behavior he felt was inappropriate for his age, including cursing and gambling. The rapper said those issues contributed to the breakdown of their relationship.

The remix video has not been officially released but has already started circulating across social media platforms.

Megan Thee Stallion Goes Wild West With Southern Sass For New Music Drop

Megan Thee Stallion dropped the cover art for her upcoming single “Whenever” before her second headlining performance at Coachella on Easter Sunday (April 20), setting the stage for a new era steeped in cinematic flair and Southern swagger.

Her Coachella 2025 set last weekend.has already featured surprise appearances from Queen Latifah, Victoria Monét and Ciara.

Meg’s latest announcement, accompanied by her new artwork, once again polarized her fans.

The cover, styled like a retro Western film poster, features three versions of Megan in matching purple denim bikinis, strappy heels and custom cowboy hats stitched with an “M.”

The background is a surreal mash-up of oversized chess pieces, a vintage car and two sharply dressed fish-headed figures, blending spaghetti Western aesthetics with surrealist visuals.

Above the title, a tagline reads: “It’s whatever b**ch, it’s WHENEVER h*e!”

The promo also bills the release as “A Hot Girl Production Starring Megan Thee Stallion,” positioning the Houston rapper as the star and the creative force behind the project.

“Whenever” is confirmed to drop on April 25, 2025.

The announcement comes as Megan continues to build momentum for her third studio album, tentatively titled Act III, which is expected to be released later this year.

DJ Mustard, Coachella Crowd Take Two Dumps On Drake

DJ Mustard turned up the heat on Drake during his  Coachella set on Friday (April 18) by playing Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” not once but twice, prompting the entire crowd to chant lyrics accusing the rapper of being a pedophile.

The moment will likely fuel Drake’s ongoing defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group.

After keeping things neutral during weekend one, Mustard made his stance loud and clear during his second Coachella appearance.

The Los Angeles producer, who crafted the Grammy-winning beat behind Lamar’s scathing diss track, ended his set with a direct jab at Drake, flipping one of Kendrick’s lines into a taunt of his own: “Why you suing like a b#### ain’t you tired?”

The crowd didn’t hold back either.

As “Not Like Us” blared through the speakers, thousands of voices echoed Kendrick’s verse, labeling Drake a pedophile, a lyric that’s central to the rapper’s lawsuit against UMG.

Mustard ran the track back for a second play to make matters worse for Drake.

The moment marked a sharp contrast from Mustard’s first weekend performance on April 11, where he avoided the controversy altogether.

That set focused on his catalog of hits and featured appearances from Ella Mai, Roddy Ricch, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, YG and Tyga. Songs like “Rack City,” “Boo’d Up,” and “Ballin’” took center stage, but “Not Like Us” was noticeably missing.

Mustard’s involvement in “Not Like Us” has been a career milestone. He spent months sending beats to Lamar before the track came together.

The final instrumental, crafted in about 30 minutes, was inspired by what Mustard imagined Dr. Dre might produce if paired with Lil Jon.

The beat’s aggressive rhythm and sharp percussion helped drive the song to massive success, including five Grammy wins at the 2025 ceremony, where it took home Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance and Best Music Video.

Drake, meanwhile, has taken legal action against UMG, claiming the label promoted a song that falsely portrays him as a pedophile, resulting in threats and harassment.

His lawsuit alleges UMG used the song’s Super Bowl and Grammy exposure to damage his reputation before contract negotiations.

UMG has called the lawsuit “groundless” and accused Drake of trying to censor Hip-Hop battles through the courts.

Cardi B Promises “Messy” New Album

Cardi B teased emotional chaos and romantic turbulence as the driving forces behind her upcoming sophomore album, expected in 2025, following multiple delays.

The Bronx-born rapper described the long-awaited follow-up to her Grammy-winning debut as unpredictable and emotionally layered.

“I feel like my album is messy,” Cardi B told Billboard. “It’s something that’s really not out right now. It’s unexpected. There’s things people are going to expect from me, and then there’s things that are not expected.”

The as-yet-untitled project is about 75% complete and is expected to feature at least 20 tracks—nearly double the number on her 2018 debut, Invasion of Privacy.

Cardi B said the album reflects a journey through heartbreak, healing and rediscovery.

“There’s a lot of lover girl thing too—on my album,” she added. “It’s like I’ve been heartbroken, then I’m loving again, then I’m exploring again.”

Despite a turbulent 2024 that included the birth of her third child and a divorce filing, Cardi has remained focused on finishing the album.

She reportedly has around 100 unreleased tracks to choose from and plans to include both familiar collaborators and new voices.

Cardi’s recent singles “Like What (Freestyle)” and “Enough (Miami)” have kept her in the spotlight while fans wait for the whole project.

The album is expected to drop sometime in 2025.

Kanye West & Bianca Censori Rumors Fly After They’re Spotted Together In Spain

Kanye West and Bianca Censori were spotted in Spain together, sparking rumors of a recent reconciliation. In videos making the rounds on social media, the couple was seen meeting up for dinner at Indian fusion restaurant Cala d’Or in Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands, on Friday night (April 18).

It appears to mark a turning point in their marriage, after the Daily Mail reported their alleged split in February. The perceived breaking point seemed to come amid West’s latest Twitter spree in which he spouted his antisemitic beliefs and claimed to be a Nazi.

West married Censori, an Australian architect and Yeezy employee, in a private ceremony in December 2022, just weeks after finalizing his divorce from Kim Kardashian. Initially, there was uncertainty about the legal status of their union, as reports indicated the couple didn’t immediately obtain an official marriage certificate.

But by late 2023, documents surfaced suggesting they had secured a confidential marriage license in California. Their relationship quickly became a major topic of public fascination, with Censori making headlines for her X-rated fashion choices and prominent presence alongside West at high-profile events such as the Grammy Awards and international fashion weeks.

Despite their whirlwind romance and frequent public appearances, West and Censori’s marriage has faced significant scrutiny and challenges. Rumors of marital strife intensified following Censori’s controversial red carpet attire and West’s increasingly erratic social media activity.

West appeared to confirm their separation through lyrics in the WW3 album, expressing longing for Censori and referencing their troubled relationship. While there has been no official legal confirmation of a divorce, recent reports and West’s own music strongly suggest that the couple did split after two years of marriage, with both parties allegedly consulting divorce lawyers.

But if their reunion in Spain is any indication, their divorce may never come to fruition. Time will tell.

Lil Durk Presents New Argument & $1 Million In Cash To Get Out Of Jail Before Trial

Lil Durk is asking a federal judge in Los Angeles to reconsider his pretrial detention, arguing that prosecutors misrepresented key evidence.

The embattled rapper is denying a rap verse and fan-made videos are proof he profited off a murder he’s accused of orchestrating.

The rapper has been behind bars since his October 2024 arrest on federal charges tied to a murder-for-hire plot targeting rival rapper Quando Rondo.

Prosecutors claim Durk financed a deadly ambush in Los Angeles that left Rondo’s cousin, Saviay’a “Lul Pabb” Robinson, dead in August 2022.

Durk has pleaded not guilty.

Now, his legal team says the government misled the court during a December detention hearing by tying him to a music video he didn’t make and lyrics recorded months before the killing.

“It is unfair, misleading and just flat-out wrong for the government to suggest that Mr. Banks is responsible for these video/audio edits or that they evidence his purported commercialization of a murder that he supposedly ordered,” attorney Drew Findling said in a new court filing.

At the center of the dispute is the song “Wonderful Wayne & Jackie Boy,” a track by Babyface Ray featuring Lil Durk.

Prosecutors argued the lyrics referenced the murder of Robinson and included audio from a news clip where Rondo screamed “no, no” after witnessing his cousin’s death.

But defense attorneys submitted an affidavit from the song’s producer, Justin Gibson, confirming the verse was recorded about seven months before the shooting.

Despite that, prosecutors told the court the lyrics were paired with news footage in a video allegedly showing Rondo’s reaction. That video, however, was not created or posted by Durk but rather by unaffiliated social media users, including accounts like \@otf_edit and \@mymixtapez.

“‘Wonderful Wayne’ has nothing to do with the shooting at issue in this case,” Findling said. “Rather than just concede this at the initial detention hearing, the government instead chose to speculate about an alternative theory of criminal liability connecting the videos to Mr. Banks.”

Durk’s lawyers say the government has not produced evidence that Durk directed or approved the videos. His team argues the clips were made by fan pages with no connection to him or his label, Only the Family, Inc.

Durk’s lawyers are now offering a bond package they say eliminates any risk if he’s released.

The proposal includes $900,000 in real estate equity, $1 million in cash from Alamo Records, $150,000 from a business associate, 24/7 private security, electronic monitoring and strict reporting requirements.

“Mr. Banks respectfully requests that the Court reconsider its previous detention order and permit his release secured by a robust bond package and subject to substantial conditions,” Findling added.

Durk is facing multiple federal charges, including conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death and using a machine gun in a violent crime.

If convicted, he could face life in prison or possibly the death penalty.

Kash Doll Explains Origins Of Viral $20 Bill Nose-Picking Incident At NBA Game

Kash Doll is falling back on her hometown heritage following a wave of backlash she has faced after going viral during her recent outing at an NBA game in Detroit.

During a recent interview with an Atlanta radio station, Kash Doll admitted she’s no stranger to public scrutiny, and that’s part of the reason why she says she shared the clip of herself wiping her nose with a $20 bill at the Detroit Pistons game. Since going viral for the unexpected moment that had fans and critics alike buzzing and sparked plenty of backlash, she’s says she’s not losing any sleep over it.

“You know anything come at me, I’m kind of ready for it,” Kash Doll said. “Like even when I’m viral for wiping my nose with a 20 and everybody’s mad. I don’t even care.”

Kash Doll went on to explain that the decision to use money wasn’t premeditated or part of a flex. It was more of a spontaneous reaction to the moment. According to Kash Doll, the gesture also ties into her hometown’s unique flair for flashy behavior.

“First off, this is Detroit culture,” she said. “We have an ice cam where you show jewelry. We have people that get on the camera and rip up $100 bills. In Detroit, our culture, it’s like, we stunt. That’s our thing.”

But she made it clear that her intent wasn’t to show off.

“I’m gonna be 100 percent honest with y’all,” she said. “I wasn’t doing it to stunt.”

She added that the moment was actually sparked by her NFL player boo Za’Darius Smith, who apparently told her she had some proverbial bats in the cave, prompting her to extract them.

“I literally switched purses and my boo said I had something right there on my nose,” she said. “And all I had in there was some money. And that’s the only thing I could do. And I did it.”

Even more telling, Kash Doll initially didn’t record the moment. It wasn’t until afterward that she realized the impact it might have.

“I did it and didn’t record it at first,” she explained. “Because it was genuine. But then I’m like, ‘Oh, this is kind of fly. Like, everybody be wiping their tears with f###### money. Let me just do this. Let me wipe my nose. This is different.'”

She eventually decided to post the clip, fully aware it might stir controversy.

“I did it, and I recorded it and put it up,” she said. “And it became a thing. And I’m like, ‘Ah, f### y’all.'”

Megan Thee Stallion Demands Court Sanctions Over Tory Lanez’s Disruptive Deposition Behavior

Megan Thee Stallion asked a Los Angeles judge to hold Tory Lanez in contempt of court after he allegedly mocked her attorney and stalled a deposition with evasive answers during a civil defamation case tied to online harassment.

In a motion filed Wednesday (April 16), Megan’s legal team accused Lanez of “disruptive, inflammatory and inconsistent” conduct during a prison deposition related to her lawsuit against blogger Milagro Cooper.

“Mr. Peterson’s conduct during the deposition was so disruptive, inflammatory, and inconsistent with the basic norms of civil litigation that even his own counsel, who also represents the Defendant, Milagro Cooper, disavowed it. As a result of Mr. Peterson’s misconduct, the deposition had to be terminated shortly after it began,” Meg’s lawyer Daniel L. Humphrey explained.

The Texan rapper claims Cooper acted on Lanez’s behalf to spread falsehoods and deepfake pornography about her online.

According to court documents, Lanez allegedly pretended not to understand simple terms, such as “discuss” and “approve,” during questioning. He also took aim at Megan’s attorney’s appearance, calling her hair dye “distracting” and telling her to “bring a hairbrush” next time.

Megan’s lawyers argue that Lanez’s antics obstructed the deposition’s purpose and violated civil litigation norms.

The deposition was part of her ongoing case against Cooper. Megan says Tory Lanez used the blogger as a proxy to orchestrate a smear campaign while he was behind bars.

Lanez’s criminal appeal attorneys clarified they are not involved in the civil case and will not challenge the contempt motion.

Megan Thee Stallion Granted Restraining Order Against Tory Lanez

The deposition occurred under the shadow of a restraining order Megan obtained against Lanez, which remains in effect until 2030.

The order was granted due to what Megan described as continued harassment following the 2020 shooting that led to Lanez’s conviction.

Megan originally filed the defamation suit in October 2024. She accused Cooper of publishing false claims and manipulated content at Lanez’s direction.

In December, she amended the complaint to include new allegations that Lanez continued to coordinate online attacks through third parties even after his sentencing.

The lawsuit also references conversations between Lanez and his father about financially supporting Cooper’s efforts to discredit Megan online.

The court has yet to rule on whether Lanez will face penalties, which could include fines or other sanctions.
