EXCLUSIVE: Man Who Owes 50 Cent $6 Million Defaults In Bankruptcy, Rapper Can Now Seize Assets

50 Cent could be nearly $7 million richer now that former Sire Spirits employee, Mitchell Green, who had embezzled money from the company, defaulted on his bankruptcy filing.

As AllHipHop.com reported in an exclusive story, Sire Spirits LLC filed a complaint against Green on June 2, arguing that bankruptcy protection shouldn’t cover money obtained through illegal means.

Despite being served with the summons and complaint, Green failed to respond within 30 days, leading to a default being entered against him.

Green, who had been a part of the brand management team at 50 Cent’s company, Sire Spirits, had been ordered to pay more than $6 million after he was discovered to have embezzled funds.

Green held a crucial position at Sire Spirits, acting as the principal liaison with the company’s French suppliers. However, he betrayed the company’s trust by colluding with these suppliers, artificially inflating the amount Sire Spirits paid and funneling the excess fees to himself and his co-conspirators.

According to 50 Cent’s lawyer, James Berman, Green was paid a six-figure salary and benefits as an employee. But his own greed led him to steal millions of dollars in “agency fees” he negotiated under the table.

After years of fraudulent activity, Green confessed to his misdeeds when he claimed he was being extorted by a co-conspirator. Sire Spirits took legal action and an arbitration proceeding found Green liable for breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and unjust enrichment, leading to a judgment of $6,194,293.

Despite Green’s attempts to file for bankruptcy to avoid paying the judgment, 50 Cent fought against it, arguing that bankruptcy protection doesn’t cover money obtained by “fraud or defalcation while acting in a fiduciary capacity, embezzlement, or larceny.”

Green never bothered to reply, clearing the way for 50 Cent’s latest legal victory in the battle to recover millions from Green. 50 Cent has vowed to take Green’s assets.

The rap star and TV producer even contemplated the changes he would make to Green’s home, suggesting he would keep the family pictures as a theme for the place.

Soulja Boy Claims He Can’t Pay Damages After Losing Lawsuit, But His Ex-GF Calls BS

Soulja Boy’s ex-girlfriend urged a California judge to uphold the damages she won in a lawsuit against him.

According to Radar Online, Kayla Myers disputed Soulja Boy’s arguments for dismissing the damages in the case. The rapper claimed he cannot pay the amount awarded to Myers by a jury.

Myers sued Soulja Boy for assaulting her at a 2019 house party in Malibu. She accused her ex-boyfriend of kicking, punching and pistol-whipping her. Myers said Soulja Boy told an associate to tie her up and hold her in a garage for hours. The person ordered to watch Myers allegedly sexually assaulted her while she was held captive.

A jury sided with Myers at a trial in April. Jurors awarded her roughly $236,000 in damages and an additional $236,000 in punitive damages.

Judge Mark Epstein opened the door for reconsidering the punitive damages in June. He questioned if the jury had enough information due to the lack of evidence regarding Soulja Boy’s finances.

Soulja Boy disclosed his finances after losing the lawsuit. He revealed he owes $1 million to the IRS.

The Atlanta-bred rapper insisted he could not pay the damages and back taxes even if he liquidated his assets.

Myers disagreed, noting how her ex continues to live lavishly. She argued he can liquidate two of his vehicles and “clear out the whole judgment entirely.” Myers pointed out how such a move would allow him to keep the rest of his assets — including two other vehicles — and continue paying the $25,000 per month to live in a mansion.

Both sides await the judge’s decision.

Kid Cudi debunked a viral tweet claiming he got a ridiculous tattoo of an emoji keyboard.

A troll accused Kid Cudi of getting “the worst tattoo in the world” in a Twitter post on Sunday (July 16). The social media user posted a photo of the rapper’s supposed inkwork in a tweet that racked up 2 million views. Kid Cudi reacted to the post on Monday (July 17).

“This is not me lame,” he wrote.

He added, “It’s crazy out here man!! but when they hate u u win at life BIG time.”

Kid Cudi shut down the tattoo trolling a few days after receiving an Emmy nomination for his Netflix special Entergalactic. The multi-platinum selling artist was overjoyed to be nominated for Outstanding Animated Program.

YNW Melly Trial: Prosecution Rests Case After Presenting Alleged Confession Text

The YNW Melly double murder trial resumed with more testimony from Detective Mark Moretti on Monday (July 17).

Prosecutors rested their case after Moretti finished testifying. The detective answered questions about the investigation and evidence, including a text in which the defendant allegedly confessed to the murders of YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser. Moretti faced intense cross-examination from the defense.

YNW Melly, whose real name is Jamell Demons, is accused of killing YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser in 2018. Prosecutors say the 24-year-old rapper admitted he murdered his friends in a text to a man known as Peezy Gambino.

“I did that,” the text read. “Shhh.”

The defense tried to raise doubts about the alleged confession and grilled Moretti for threatening potential witnesses. Attorney Stuart Adelstein suggested other leads in the case were ignored once Moretti realized YNW Melly was a rising rapper.

YNW Melly was arrested on first-degree murder charges in 2019. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. He faces the death penalty if convicted.

Prosecutors claim the defendant and his alleged accomplice YNW Bortlen staged a drive-by to cover up the murders. YNW Bortlen will be tried separately in October.

YNW Melly’s trial began in June. The defense is expected to start calling its witnesses on Tuesday (July 18).

Serena Williams is getting a kick out of motherhood—and we’re not talking about a little pang from the nugget in her belly. On Sunday (July 16), the tennis pro took to Twitter to share the hilarious thing her 5-year-old Olympia said while the two were out and about.

Apparently, a “nice lady” complimented Williams on her hair. After the Compton native graciously accepted the compliment, her daughter burst her bubble with three words: “It’s a wig.”

This isn’t the first time she has had embarrassment with her wigs. On May 13, she took to social media to share how her wig fell off when she was getting her neck re-aligned.

“I was thinking about this one time I needed to get my neck adjusted,” she says in the video. “I was my neck was so tight, I just was like I need to get this adjusted ASAP. So, the guy came over to the adjust me.”

She continued with the story, “I had just was getting ready [and]  I had my wig on. I didn’t pin it on. I didn’t glue it on. I literally just had it on. Next thing I know he’s like puts me on the table and he’s adjusting to me. I’m thinking, ‘Oh my God, Oh my God! Do not come off.’”

But perhaps, God wasn’t listening. Williams said before she knew it, her greatest fear was realized.

“He adjusted my neck, and of course, my wig flies off,” she finished, adding how embarrassed she was. Watch the clip below.

JT Threatens To Beat Twitter User In The Face Over Lil Uzi Vert

Most fans know City Girls rapper JT doesn’t play when it comes to her man, Lil Uzi Vert. From causing havoc at award shows to gathering edges on social media, if anyone comes for the “Just Wanna Rock” rapper, she’ll have to channel Nivea.

To kick off the week, JT chose violence after one fan posted a picture of Lil Uzi Vert with the caption, “This really JT man????!” JT promptly replied, “Yes! & I’ll beat you in your mouth bout him!”

JT seems to be on one over the last few days, and justifiably so. She also got into it with celebrity news blogger KenBarbie, who’d tweeted, “Somebody better tell JT Ice Spice already brought her ‘princess’ collar.”

A couple of days later, JT responded, “Non-Black [people] once again using terms to insinuate that black women are dogs.” A few more exchanges flew back and forth during the weekend, with KenBarbie insisting he was Black.

As he tweeted on Monday morning (July 17), “Where was this energy when that girl played in your face? Talking bout she the girl of your man dreams after playing with him DIRECTLY in your face? You know who to try, huh?”

He added, “She never has this energy for women. She’s just giving y’all a show because at the end of the day… she knows I don’t touch women. But where’s this energy for the girls? That’s why Ice Spice gagged her at the awards and left untouched and KEPT trolling her right after. But instead, she went and liked her picture like a @ThegirlJT.”

It got nasty with both parties posting private direct messages.

Chris Brown’s Legal Team Calls For Eight-Hour Mental Exam For Ex-Housekeeper’s Sister

Chris Brown has been in court defending himself against his former housekeeper, who was attacked by his dog in December 2020. His team has been gearing up for two fierce battles at trial. A judge recently sided with him in what seems to be a victory for his legal team. One of the cases has been pushed back three months. The other one focuses on the ex-housekeeper’s sister, Patricia Avila.

His lawyers are demanding Avila, who also claims to have been impacted by seeing her sister being mauled, submit an eight-hour mental exam to gauge how impacted she was by the attack.

The examination will prove if she “continues to suffer mental injury as a result of” the attack, as mentioned in her complaint, according to Radar Online.

“[Avila] stated that she still suffers from emotional distress symptoms and that she still requires ongoing treatment to address those problems,” the legal document reads.

Brown’s legal team says they’ve reached out to Avila multiple times to schedule the examination, but she has evaded their outreach and hasn’t been cooperative.

The form of evidence could be critical to Brown, as this particular plaintiff is seeking an undisclosed amount of money. Her sister, who’s listed as Jane Doe in the first lawsuit, is seeking $71 million in mental and physical damages—an amount that could bankrupt Brown.

While Brown denies that he did anything wrong, he does point the finger at the ex-house keeper. He says she actually “teased, abused and mistreated” the animal.

As the defense lawyer stated, “[Doe] invited the injuries now complained of and assumed the risk of them with full knowledge of the magnitude of that risk, in that she knew her foregoing conduct might cause the dog to attack her, and seriously injure her, both of which events are alleged to have occurred.”

Kanye West has been through a tumultuous few years. His embrace of anti-Blackness and anti-Semitism pushed away a lot of his fans and seemingly some of his peers in the music business. Jadakiss even addressed the situation in the past.

While appearing on a recent episode of The Adam Friedland Show, New York-bred MC Jadakiss spoke about Kanye West. Comedian/podcaster Adam Friedland specifically questioned the LOX member about Ye.

“How is Kanye?” Friedland asked, to which Jadakiss answered, “Well, I’ve met like five or six different Kanyes. The first four were awesome. The last two were a little bit…”

Last October, Jadakiss spoke to TMZ about Kanye West catching heat for his supportive remarks about Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime as well as his inaccurate comments about George Floyd.

“Everybody needs to pray for Kanye and let the Lord work it out. He’ll be alright,” Jadakiss said at the time. The Hip-Hop veteran also added, “He should apologize to whoever he offended, and let’s move on with the world.”

Jadakiss went on to say he would continue to support Kanye West despite his public troubles. The “Why” performer stated, “I’m always for the artists. Some of them say and do dumb stuff, but I’m always for the artists no matter what’s going on.”

Kanye West and Jadakiss have collaborated numerous times. They worked together on songs such as “Gettin’ It In” off Kiss’s Kiss of Death, “Don’t Like.1” off G.O.O.D Music’s Cruel Summer and “Jesus Lord pt 2” off Ye’s Donda.

Transgender Rapper Lil Wop Responds To Ralo Calling Him A Fake Woman

Incarcerated rapper Terrell “Ralo” Davis took to social media to share his thoughts on Louis “Lil Wop” McPherson presenting himself as a woman.

Lil Wop, a former Gucci Mane protégé, went viral in May after sharing a photo of himself dressed in lingerie. Later that month, Wop announced, “In The Transition Into Becoming A Full Transgender ⚧️ 🏳️‍⚧️💕™️🕷️.”

On July 15, a Twitter account posted side-by-side pictures of Lil Wop before the gender-changing announcement and after the gender-changing announcement. The caption claimed Wop recently got tricked with laced fake pills.

Ralo reacted to the unsubstantiated rumor. His July 16 quote-tweet read, “I know everyone got they lil flaws and desires, but idgaf what drug I do or get laced with my soul won’t ever allow me to do no [s###] like that. Women are too beautiful to be faked.”

Lil Wop got wind of Ralo’s comments about his transitioning. The OnlyFans content creator then fired back at the 97 Months mixtape creator on Instagram.

“Tell @ralofamgoon this mouth & this p#### feel like a real woman’s 😛🥰💕💕,” wrote Lil Wop in an Instagram post. Additionally, Wop added on his IG Story, “Huh??? I’m transitioning into a whole woman. What’s fake about that?”

For the past several months, Lil Wop continued to upload images to social media of his transition from a man to a woman. The self-described Wopster came out as bisexual last year while also admitting to being attracted to feminine men and transgender women.

Ralo received an eight-year federal prison sentence on marijuana and gun charges. The Famerica Records founder spent time signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017-branded label as well. Numerous rap stars pushed for Ralo to receive clemency from President Joe Biden.

Lil Tjay Blocks Out Gunna’s Album While Promoting The Success Of His ‘222’ Album

Bronx-bred rapper Lil Tjay released his third studio LP, 222, on July 14. While celebrating 222 making it into Apple Music Top Album Chart’s Top 5, it appeared Tjay shaded Atlanta rapper Gunna.

According to reports, Lil Tjay posted a screenshot of Apple Music’s five most popular projects to his Instagram Story over the weekend. 222 landed at No. 5 on those rankings.

King Von’s posthumous Grandson led the chart at No. 1 with Rylo Rodriguez’s Been One taking the No. 2 spot. Taylor Swift held the No. 4 position with Speak Now. Gunna’s A Gift & A Curse sat at No. 4.

Instagram users would have been unable to see Gunna’s name or the name of his album on the IG post because Tjay placed a face with monocle emoji (🧐) over the southerner’s cover art.

Has Lil Tjay Joined Other Rap Stars Who Took Issue With Gunna’s Plea Deal?

Several Hip Hop artists, such as Lil Durk and Boosie Badazz, ostracized Gunna for pleading guilty to a racketeering charge in the Georgia RICO case against Gunna’s Young Stoner Life Records label boss Young Thug.

Critics accused Gunna of “snitching” and “ratting” after he admitted in open court that YSL is a gang. There was widespread speculation that other rap stars took issue with Gunna’s decision and he would be blackballed from the industry.

Even as Gunna fights off the snitch label, the 30-year-old rhymer continues to find success on the Billboard charts. For example, “Fukumean” broke into the Hot 100’s Top 10, giving Gunna his first solo entry in that region. A Gift & a Curse opened at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

222 joins a Lil Tjay album discography that also contains 2019’s True 2 Myself and 2021’s Destined 2 Win. Both of those Platinum-certified projects peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart. The State of Emergency EP topped off at No. 31 in 2020.

Latto Celebrates Breaking Spotify Records With Jung Kook’s “Seven”

South Korean singer Jung Kook of BTS and American rapper Latto made history with their new “Seven” collaboration. The song broke several streaming records in its first 24 hours of release.

Jung Kook dropped “Seven” featuring Latto on July 14 via the South Korean label Big Hit Music. “Seven” reportedly amassed more than 16 million global Spotify streams on day one.

According to the music industry website HitsDailyDouble, “Seven” had the biggest debut on Spotify in 2023. In addition, the song now holds the all-time Spotify debut record for a male artist and collaboration. 

Chart Data reports that “Seven” also earned the biggest streaming debut for a rapper in global Spotify history. Latto responded to that news by tweeting, “S/O to the Armypots 🎰🐰🥳🍾.”

The Pop sound of “Seven” arrived as Latto has been reigniting her Hip Hop buzz as well. While her more Pop-centered “Lottery” single did not resonate with a large audience, 2023’s “Put It On The Floor Again” became a hit.

Latto linked up with Cardi B for the “Put It On Da Floor Again” collaboration and music video. The official visuals totaled over 34 million YouTube views since premiering on June 2. The song’s Spotify numbers have topped 14 million plays.

Throughout her career, Latto has partnered with several other acts. The Rap Game winner’s catalog includes songs with Gucci Mane, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino, Lola Brooke, Chris Brown, Chloe Bailey, Maroon 5, and more.

Latto’s “Big Energy” was a monster smash in 2021. Music icon Mariah Carey hoped on the remix which borrows from Carey’s classic “Fantasy” song. “Big Energy” became the longest-charting rap song by a solo female artist in Hot 100 history (51 weeks).

 

JT Clashes With Cardi B-Supporting Blogger KenBarbie

The apparent tension among female rappers and their supporters seemed to boil over earlier today. City Girls member JT got into a war of words with well-known celebrity news blogger KenBarbie.

Last year, JT feuded with rap superstar Cardi B with her longtime rival Nicki Minaj also jumping into the situation. Minaj and JT worked together on music. KenBarbie has openly admitted to being friends with Cardi and often criticizes Minaj.

There also has been speculation that JT got angry at her partner, Lil Uzi Vert, at the 2023 BET Awards in June over his interactions with fellow Nicki Minaj collaborator Ice Spice. However, JT’s camp denied Ice Spice caused the argument.

On Friday night, KenBarbie tweeted, “Somebody better tell JT Ice Spice already brought her ‘princess’ collar. 😫.” Two days later, JT responded, “Non-Black [people] once again using terms to insinuate that black women are dogs.”

That response led to several exchanges on Twitter that included KenBarbie insisting he is “100% Black” and referring to his adversary as a “lap dog,” assumingly for Nicki Minaj. Additionally, JT also called on Ken to meet her in New York.

KenBarbie told JT he does not fight women, and he brought up Lil Uzi Vert by referring to the “Just Wanna Rock” hitmaker as “Leslie.” Plus, Ken questioned why she did not verbally attack Ice Spice after the Bronx native allegedly shaded her.

Martha Stewart Comforts Snoop Dogg As He Remembers His Beloved Mother In Heartfelt Post

Snoop Dogg has received some kind words from his best buddy Martha Stewart after the Death Row Records honcho shared that he misses his beloved mother.  

The West Coast icon’s mother, Beverly Tate, transitioned in October 2021, and he is still grieving her loss.  

He took to Instagram Sunday (Jul 16) to share a piece of fanart of his mom. Snoop Dogg also penned a heartfelt post message about his mother alongside some advice for his fans.  

“Miss my mamma,” he began. “If ya mama still here call her and tell her I love her for raising u the way she did. and if she not here, she with my mama watching over us.”

Fans and peers flooded the comments section, admiring the portrait and offering consoling words for Snoop.  

Martha Stewart made sure to give her close friend and confidante some encouragement. “Love this sentiment Snoop,” she wrote. “You were a very good son and I know she loved you!!!” 

The former Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party co-hosts share a very special bond.  

“Me and her together, it’s always beautiful,” Snoop Dogg said of Martha Stewart in 2021. “We always enjoy each other’s company. It just shows the world that love is love!”

Watch Eminem Thrill Detroit Fans With Surprise Performance At Ed Sheeran Concert

Eminem stunned Ed Sheeran fans during the Detroit stop of the British musicians’ “Mathematics Tour,” joining him on stage for a surprise performance for his hometown crowd.  

Sheeran duped fans by telling them he wanted to play a rendition of “Lose Yourself,” without mentioning the superstar rapper.  

“I wondered if I could play you a cover of an Eminem song tonight,” Sheeran began. “I think you know it. We rehearsed it today; we’ll see how it goes.” He began the song, strumming along on his guitar while singing the opening verse before Em appeared. 

The crowd roared as he emerged on stage to finish the song with the “Shape of You” singer. Check out the clip below.

The crowd couldn’t get enough of the duo, who obliged the crowd with another track. “Can I just say, he was gonna come out and do one song,” Sheeran told the audience. “But I said you can’t come out in Detroit and just do one song. Do you want another song?” 

Concertgoers cheered in agreement as Eminem and Ed Sheeran geared up for another track. They revived their “Stan” performance from Slim Shady’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2020. Watch the videos below. 

Earlier this year, Ed Sheeran revealed he cured his childhood stutter with the help of Eminem. During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show in May, Sheeran revealed that he rapped The Marshall Mathers LP “back-to-back to back-to-back,” which “cured” his stutter.  

He also opened up about his relationship with the “reclusive” rapper.  

“I think it’s different with Eminem because he is quite reclusive, doesn’t see or meet that many people,” Sheeran said. “I’ve known him now six years and we’ve done three songs together, I’ve played with him twice on stage. He’s another person I really relate to, as he lives in his hometown still and has his ecosystem around him.” 

Nicki Minaj Slams Fan For Comparing Her Alter Egos: “Don’t You DARE DO CHUN”

While Nicki Minaj has several alter egos, Chun Li holds a special place in her heart, as one fan discovered over the weekend when he tried to compare the character to a more recent counterpart.  

The “Barbie World” hitmaker deploys her alter egos in multiple songs, with each persona bearing distinct characteristics.  

The fan posted two of Nicki’s singles side-by-side, inviting others to “choose your fighter,” between Chun Li and Red Ruby Da Sleeze. However, the comparison angered the rapper, and she chastised the fan over his tweet.  

“How dare you?” Nicki Minaj began. “Chun was written as a single/radio/GAG on an original beat that I helped to create from scratch w/producer. The video was the best thing since sliced bread & Anaconda.”

A little while later, Nicki Minaj returned with a pop quiz for her dedicated fanbase, The Barbz. She shared a Twitter poll asking fans whether it was Chun Li or Red Ruby Da Sleeze who appears on her new song “Endless Fashion” with Lil Uzi.

Timbaland Shows Love To Viral TikTok Sensation PinkyDoll

Timbaland is known for embracing new trends, and the latest viral TikTok sensation PinkyDoll is no different. 

The content creator went viral last week after clips of her TikTok live streams surfaced on Twitter. PinkyDoll is an NPC streamer who goes live on the video-sharing app while viewers purchase GIFs in exchange for a reaction. NPC stands for “non-playable character,” and streamers imitate background characters in video games. Some creators are hugely popular on the app, with thousands of live viewers at a time. 

These characters aren’t controlled by the player but by the game itself. NPC streamers like PinkyDoll mimic repetitive movements and predictable phrases these background characters use.  

Twitter users were initially confused over whether PinkyDoll was actually a real person. Videos of her popping popcorn with a hair straightener while parroting robotic catchphrases like “Got me feeling like a cowgirl,” and “Ice cream, so good,” could be confused for A.I. creations. 

Over the weekend, PinkyDoll was joined by Hip-Hop super producer Timbaland. She broke character as she realized he joined the stream. She gasped in shock before shouting him out but swiftly transitioned back into her role.  

On Sunday, (July 16), Timabaans shared PinkyDoll’s reaction on his own TikTok account. “YES yes YES,” he captioned the post. Check it out below.

Although some are unconvinced, Timbaland is a fan. He was reportedly the top contributor to her recent live stream.  

Keke Palmer Says Let PinkyDoll Make Her Money

While many online are freaked out or even angered by PinkyDoll and other NPC streamers, Keke Palmer is all for it. “I don’t think it’s anybody’s place to judge somebody on how they make money,” the “Nope” actress said during a recent panel talk. “They got that one girl online talking about ‘Popcorn, popcorn,” she added, imitating PinkyDoll’s robotic cadence.  

After gaining attention for Timbaland, PinkyDoll has her sights set on reaching Cardi B. While she hasn’t met the rap superstar, Cardi is aware of the viral sensation. 

She shared a video of the NPC streamer slurping her lounge while saying one of her signature phrases. “How I feel watching this video,” Cardi wrote, reacting to a clip of Normani.

Cardi B and Offset celebrated daughter Kulture turning five with a second lavish birthday bash Sunday night, less than a week after taking over Nickelodeon Universe at American Dream Mall in New Jersey. 

Sunday’s bash (July 16), was Mario themed, with little Kulture wearing an adorable Princess Peach-style dress with a full-length train. The “Point Me 2” hitmaker also stuck to the theme, donning a fairytale blue floor-length gown, dressed as Rosalina from the Super Mario Bros video game series.

The proud parents’ youngest child, Wave Set, who turns two in September, was also dressed for the occasion, wearing his signature wave chain. 

Offset’s eldest sons are following in their famous father’s footsteps, debuting their own songs. Cardi B shared a video of the duo getting the party lit, with Offset rapping along to the tracks.  

“Me and my dogs on the playground,” Kody rapped as he showed off his drip. Meanwhile, big brother Jordan proved that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. The teen debuted a track that wouldn’t sound out of place on a Migos project. Check out the clips below.  

Cardi B And Offset On Their Blended Family

Cardi B and Offset posed for an Essence cover shoot with their blended family last year. The Migos rapper opened up about how his wife accepts all of his children.  

“It’s a blessing to be able to have them all together, and to have a wife who’s open and treats them as if they’re her kids,” he revealed. “It could be an issue, but I don’t have to go through that, and that’s beautiful.”

Gerald Lundy, the dad of NBA hopeful Seth Lundy, totally pulled a fast one on his boss by faking an arm injury to score a day off work for his son’s NBA debut. The OG was “supposed” to be slaving away at his weak a$$ job on the big day of son Seth’s NBA Draft, but he wasn’t about to miss out on this momentous occasion. So, he came up with a plan and pretended his arm was all messed up. Sneaky, but it worked! LOL!

“I told my boss that I hurt my arm and couldn’t come in,” Gerald spilled to The Philadelphia Inquirer. “I just knew I had to be there for my son.” And guess what? His little scheme paid off big time…kinda! Gerald watched his son get drafted by the Atlanta Hawks with his arm in a sling. He got his props for his dedication, and a video of his epic reaction to his son’s draft went viral on Twitter, racking up over a million views. The funny thing is his arms was flapping like nothing was wrong, because nothing was wrong!

I have nothing but respect for him to tell that bold face lie, go on TV knowing his boss is watching and express his undiluted adulation. I love it! This one of the best examples of going viral that I have ever seen. So pure. It also looks like his mother is on the other side so she’s in there too.

Now, let’s talk about Seth for a few. Hoping for his name to be called for the NBA Draft, Seth was surrounded by a bunch of other hoop hopefuls. You could see the mix of excitement and nerves on his young face! Countless hours of practice, dedication, and sacrifices brought him to this very moment and there’s his pops!

Then it happened: “The Atlanta Hawks select Seth Lundy from Penn State with the 46th overall pick in the NBA Draft.” The place erupted in applause, and Seth’s loved ones surrounded him, bursting with joy and pride. So now, Seth officially belongs to the Atlanta Hawks, starting from the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft. This is a great story overall. He can rebound, defend, and bang down those coveted three-pointers.

Anthony Mackie Reveals The Worst Acting Moment In His Entire Career

Anthony Mackie has revealed working on “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” was the “worst acting moment” of his career.

During an interview with Inverse, the Marvel star recalled working on a 2003 episode of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” with a director who could not speak English.

When asked what he remembers about filming the episode, the actor said, “Yo, this is one of the craziest moments I’ve ever had in my career.”

Mackie, 44, continued, “We had a director who couldn’t speak English, so his direction was always Anthony (sad face) or Anthony (grunting while putting up his fists), and if you watched that episode, it was probably the worst acting moment of my career.”

The “8 Mile” actor then praised his co-star Vincent D’Onofrio for stepping in and taking over as his director.

“Shout out to Vincent D’Onofrio. Vincent was like, ‘Hey, stop it. He’s too good of an actor for you to do that to him. I’ll direct him.’ And he directed me throughout the rest of the episode,” he added.

Mackie portrayed the character Carl Hines, a writer who became a suspect in his girlfriend’s murder. He has previously stated in interviews that he is most often recognized for his guest role on the popular TV show, despite having a hard time behind the scenes.

Mackie recently finished shooting “Captain America: Brave New World,” his first film as the new Captain America. The movie is set to hit cinemas on July 26, 2024.

Lil Baby Explains His Move into the Restaurant Business with New Seafood Venture

Grammy-nominated rapper Lil Baby is making waves in his hometown, not just with his music but with his latest venture – a seafood restaurant called The Seafood Menu Restaurant and Lounge.

The Atlanta native is using his influence to bring jobs and shine a light on black businesses in the community he grew up in.

“I feel great,” Lil Baby said at the restaurant’s opening. “It definitely means a lot to me, not only because I come from these neighborhoods, but just for like neighborhoods all around the world. I just want to make my impact more than just music.”

The rapper is not alone in this endeavor. His sister, whom he refers to as his business partner, plays a crucial role in the restaurant’s day-to-day operations.

“Every business I have, my sister’s involved in. So she like runs the day-to-day. Of course, I can’t be here on a day-to-day and make all this stuff happen, so my sister definitely has a lot for me,” he explained to 11Alive.

Lil Baby joins a growing list of Atlanta Hip-Hop artists who have ventured into entrepreneurship, a fraternity he’s proud to be a part of.

“It’s always been my dream to have one of those like to be a part of that,” he said. “Not even about making money or something like that, but just have something in the city and community,” Lil Baby explained.

The rapper hopes his example will inspire others in his community, showing them there’s always a better way. As for why he chose to open a seafood restaurant, Lil Baby said it was filling a market gap.

“There’s not a seafood restaurant in this area. So that’s what we came up with, seafood. I had this spot for a long time before I even decided what we were gonna make it. We came up with seafood,” he explained.
