Stevie J Files Paperwork Proving Faith Evans Divorce Is Nearly Final

Stevie J is approaching the close of his divorce from his wife, R&B singer Faith Evans. According to Yahoo! Entertainment, the former Bad Boy producer filed a declaration of disclosure in a Los Angeles County Court.

The California Court’s state “Declaration of Disclosure” is “a statement of all material facts and information regarding valuation of all assets that are community property or in which the community has an interest (not a form).”

This is also a document that will serve as an acknowledgment that one party has submitted the financial information for the other party’s legal team to review. Experts say that is an indication that the case may soon be over. There are several things that showed the divorce was getting petty.

As AllHipHop previously reported, Evans told police her Mercedes Sprinter van was stolen by her husband. Reports say it wasn’t stolen, per se, but being used for a family trip to Coachella.

The problem is Stevie J never got “permission” from the “Love Like This Before” singer to use it. Evans alleges he snuck and got her keys and went on the trip. For Evans, the problem is also about insurance.

“The insurance policy does not cover [Stevie], and he is unauthorized to drive,” she wrote in the police report. Stevie J did return the vehicle, especially since she was demanding that he turn it over to her or give her the $164,000 she paid for it.

This isn’t the first time the world thought the couple was over. In 2021, the two went public with conversations about divorce, after their shocking nuptial.

No word on when the divorce will be complete.

Flavor Flav also included a message for publications he says are trying to sensationalize his story for clicks. He added, “To every media outlet that tries to capitalize on my goodwill trending topics and bring up my past or old interviews for sensational click bait headlines, do better and bring up my future.

“Allow for people to grow and change in a supportive manner and Don’t let anyone hold you to your past, I wear the clock, my clock goes clockwise not counter clockwise. Look forward not backward.”

Flavor Flav’s post comes just hours after he officially declared himself a “Swiftie,” a nickname for Taylor Swift’s most dedicated fans. Meanwhile, Chuck D and Flavor Flav are expected to reunite for the iHeart Music Festival in Las Vegas on September 22-23.

Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth Fans Demand Reunion Album Following NYC Council Honor

Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth were photographed together as they were honored by the New York City Council for their contributions to Hip-Hop. Rock shared a photo of the momentous occasion to his Instagram account on Friday (June 16) with the caption: “THANK YOU CITY HALL IM HIGH OFF OF THIS. Hip Hop 50 LETS GO NEW YORK CITY.”

Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth are both holding framed proclamations that were presented to them as part of the 2023 Power & Music Awards.

In a photo of the paperwork Rock sent to AllHipHop, the duo is commended for their work on their 1992 magnum opus, Mecca and The Soul Brother. The 16-track project features the classic single, “They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.),” which was inspired by the death of a close friend.

The proclamation reads in part: “Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth created a body of work recognized by a smooth, jazzy production style and introspective, socially conscious lyrics which resonated with listeners and left an indelible impact on the hip-hop landscape.”

Aside from the recognition, the moment was particularly special because Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth aren’t exactly on the best of terms. Following the success of Mecca and the Soul Brother, the duo released one more album, 1994’s The Main Ingredient, before breaking up. Despite some intermittent collaborations over the years, they’ve both made disparaging comments about each other in separate interviews.

The newly surfaced photo is the first bit of hope fans have had for a potential reunion. Unsurprisingly, they’re thirsting for a reunion album. As one person wrote, “Y’all truly deserved it now can we get a reunion album for the 50th anniversary of hip hop that would be.” Another said, “Congratulations! As you can read from a few comments, I’m going to add to this. Please can we get 1 more album from both of you? Your true fans have been waiting since after the Main Ingredient. This picture for some reason gives me hope.”

Others were simply happy to see them in the same room: “THIS IS FIRE. GREAT TO SEE YALL STANDING SIDE BY SIDE AGAIN!! Super Salute. #ThePastisThePast Move forward in Unity.”

Whether anything will come of this remains to be seen, but never say never.

D Smoke To Receive Key To The City In His Hometown Of Inglewood

In commemoration of Juneteenth, the federal holiday recognizing the day enslaved Africans in Texas were informed they were no longer property of the white slave owners, the city of Inglewood, California has decided to honor a hometown hero with its key.

On Sunday (June 18), Grammy-nominated D Smoke will receive the Key to the City during the Inglewood Juneteenth Street Festival. The rapper, whose real name is Daniel Anthony Farris, said this was a great honor for him to be recognized by the city he grew up in.

“I couldn’t be more honored to be the second person in history to be awarded the key to the city of Inglewood,” D Smoke wrote, according to 2 Urban Girls. “To see the changes it incurred and to know that Black businesses still thrive and we’re a part of its growth makes me proud!”

A graduate of UCLA with a degree in Spanish, he rocked the world in 2019 as the winner of Netflix’s Rhythm + Flow series.

His commitment to his community impressed many of the judges, including returning to his alma mater, Inglewood High School, to teach Spanish and music theory. Producer, writer and actress Issa Rae was the first person to receive the Key to the City. In 2022, during the Taste of Inglewood Festival, the city bestowed the honor on her during Super Bowl weekend.

How Ja Morant Played Himself Terribly!

By now you know the NBA delivered a 25-game suspension to Ja Morant, effectively ending the NEXT season for the Memphis Grizzlies superstar. That’s right, this all takes effect at the beginning of the next season. Whether or not this is fair has been the subject of much debate. All of this is the result of dude displaying a firearm during an Instagram Live stream. What made matters worse was that he had recently been suspended for a similar incident in a nightclub in the Denver area. To make matters even MORE complicated, Morant personally reassured NBA Commissioner Adam Silver TO HIS FACE (yes, all caps and italics!) that he would change his behavior.

But now there is a sudden plot twist.

On May 14, Ja Morant recorded a video of himself holding a TOY gun, aiming to clarify to his family and friends that he did not have a real tun in the video in question. TMZ Sports has recently acquired the footage and the revelation is stunning. So, we are now looking at a scenario where he is losing a year’s pay, endorsements and more. The “toy” was actually a lighter that he used to light candles.

Oh man, so…all of this over a fake gun? The crazy thing is this was already suggested by Claudia Jordan and apparently some individuals within Morant’s circle made this reveal to her. The whole EFF, B? So Ja has not fully confirmed that this is the case yet. Why? I would imagine that he would have even more egg on his face if “the streets” found out that he wasn’t even packing heat. He had a toy? Oh, now you are a whole clown out here!

No matter what…here we are.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver issued a 25-game suspension to Morant as a consequence. In response to the ban, Morant expressed his apologies and pledged to exhibit better behavior, stating his intention to be “a better man than what I’ve been showing you.”

Boosie Badazz’s Gun Arrest: Feds Bank On IG Live

So, the saga continues. The Man is lurking. Apparently, the Feds is banking on social media evidence in Boosie BadAzz’ gun arrest.

Thus far, on behalf of Mr. Hatch, everything from a prayer to a laugh is on the menu. Yesterday (June 16), a judge unsealed a criminal complaint. Within this document, more details are available for the public’s consumption.

The Backstory

Keep in mind, back in May, the San Diego police department would arrest Boosie Boo. Why say you? Well, due to his location, the hard-working man got into some trouble.

Unfortunately, that is the truth. Moreover, the word of the day is “associated.” Please, do not venture into the inner-city; or, any urban areas. Merely, being correspondent is grounds for an outright investigation, just ask the BR native.

Come to find out, the Hip-Hop police San Diego police department, is diligently working. It is successfully able to stake-out the Instagram Live of a “known Neighborhood Crip gang member.” As a matter-of-fact, within this very IG clip, the veteran wordsmith comes into the fray.

Well, damn. This recognition is transforming into something notorious. Soon, the eye-spy investigators begin stalking the page of the respected MC.

To add insult to injury, it just so happen that the Louisiana lyricist, too, was also going live. Likewise, he was in an area described as being “associated with the Neighborhood Crip criminal street gang,” this according to TMZ. Somehow, things get worse.

Within, that compromising social media clip, the coppers notice what seems to be a gun. In fact, the allegation is that Boosie Badazz had a firearm on his person.

Next, for the assist, the San Diego police department taps, Big Brother. To help with the apprehension, these jokers employed an “Airborne Law Enforcement Unit.” Of course, the helicopters come out, the “Betrayed” rapper was in for it.

The Conclusion

Finally, after a location is provided, a black Mercedes SUV is stopped. So, the lawboys allege that a search yields loaded guns. After, again consulting Instagram, it is purported that an unsecured firearm is discovered.

Naturally, the law claims this is the the same one seen in Boosie’s waistband, everybody gets arrested.

Hold your head Boosie!

Killer Mike Talks Unreleased André 3000 Song & Collaborating With Future

Run The Jewels member Michael “Killer Mike” Render dropped his Michael studio LP on June 16. One track on the project contains contributions from fellow Dungeon Family representatives André 3000 and Future.

Killer Mike tapped OutKast’s André 3000 and Freebandz’s Future for “Scientists & Engineers” which also features Eryn Allen Kane. Plus, Mike teased an unreleased record with Three Stacks during an interview with The Breakfast Club.

“There is another Killer Mike and Dre feature and all we gotta do is make this album go No. 1 and make the guys from the label really, really happy and I’ll be back next year,” Killer Mike told Charlamagne tha God. “[The André 3000 song] is actually about 12 minutes… Stacks rap longer.”

Additionally, Killer Mike spoke with Apple Music 1’s The Zane Lowe Show to promote his Michael album. That conversation included the 48-year-old southerner discussing working with Future on “Scientists & Engineers” and his Run The Jewels partner’s reaction to the collaboration.

“I sent [Jaime “El-P” Meline] the album earlier. He had heard it before even the hook. He was like, ‘Man, it’s dope to hear a Future feature that isn’t trying to do a Future song,'” recalled Killer Mike. “[El-P] said, ‘You all got brought into where we were on some DF stuff on the drape, bringing the initial tempo rhythm and beat on No I.D. coming in under the Future part, flowering it out some more to make it its own thing.'”

Michael joins a Killer Mike discography that consists of other LPs such as 2003’s Monster, 2011’s Pledge, and 2012’s R.A.P. Music. As part of the duo with Brooklyn-bred rapper/producer El-P, Run The Jewels released four self-titled bodies of work between 2013 and 2020.

Did Damson Idris & Lori Harvey Break Up?

Damson Idris. Lori Harvey took him to New York for oxtail pizza as if she was a New Yorker. They dodged love bullet after love bullet. And yet…they survived.

But a recent post by the actor has the rumor mill on fire. Did he drop a cryptic message to get us talking or is it over? They have definitely been quiet. Check out what he said on his IG Stories that got this whole thing started: “The only thing that changes the value of something is its location. So the next time you feel worthless. Perhaps you are just in the wrong place. Find where you will be valued.”

First of all, I can’t believe “Snowfall” is really over.

OK, moving on, what do you think? They were just at a Beyoncé concert a couple weeks ago and said “a time was had.” What does that mean? To me, it means they were doing thing to keep it spicy and maybe, just maybe, were having unique experiences in an effort to fight for the relationship.

This isn’t the first time we’ve been here. Earlier this year, Lori Harvey addressed her relationship with Damson through an Instagram story, making her message crystal clear. To put an end to those rumors, the Harvey step-daughter and model shared a photo on her Instagram Story. The picture featured Idris with a smile seated in the driver’s seat of a car. Then she said, “My exceptionally attractive Uber driver.”

The rumors about their separation started a few months ago, causing gossip-filled blogs to go crazy. Many people were mean, wishing them doom. Now, they have something else to talk about.

Quando Rondo Lands In Jail; Indicted For Drug And Gang Charges

Authorities arrested Quando Rondo in Georgia on Friday (June 16).

According to the Savannah Morning News, a Chatham County grand jury indicted Quando Rondo on drug and gang-related charges. He was booked in the Chatham County Jail.

Quando Rondo was charged with two counts of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s controlled substances act, one count of participating in criminal activity in association with a street gang and one count of use of communication facility in commission of a felony involving controlled substances. He sent an online message to his loved ones on the day of his arrest.

“I Love You Paris Italy Kiyah My Mama Tess My Grandma Freida I’ll Be Bacc!” he wrote via Twitter.

The indictment claimed Quando Rondo, whose real name is Tyquian Bowman, directed the Rollin’ 60s gang in Georgia. The rapper and 18 co-conspirators allegedly engaged in drug deals dating back to October 2022.

Authorities claimed Quando Rondo traveled to Macon, Georgia as recently as June 4 to buy marijuana. The indictment mentioned him telling gang members to not carry guns when he was riding with them in a car.

The gang allegedly trafficked cocaine, fentanyl, hydrocodone and M30 pills. The indictment detailed the use of jail phones to orchestrate drug deals and a base of operations in Savannah, Georgia.

Boosie Badazz’s Lawyers Say His Civil Rights May Have Been Violated In Gun Case

Boosie Badazz is currently facing charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was originally charged with the same crime in San Diego Superior Court after being stopped in May.

On Wednesday (June 14), he was able to get that charge dismissed. However, once he left the courtroom, Courthouse News reports, he was arrested again by federal agents for having a firearm in his possession. His lawyers think something doesn’t seem right.

Boosie’s defense lawyer, Meghan Blanco, said her client was being harassed and should’ve been protected by the petite policy. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the petite policy is an internal Justice Department policy that regulates “the initiation of federal prosecutions in two situations.”

“Under the policy,” according to the DOJ,  “defendants who are prosecuted by a state will not be prosecuted for federal crimes arising from the same act except when there is compelling federal interest and then only with the approval of an Assistant Attorney General. The policy also prohibits separate prosecutions for different federal offenses committed during the course of a single criminal episode, again, unless an Assistant Attorney General approves.”

The goal is to ensure defendants are not targeted unjustly by law enforcement. Blanco called his arrest “very unusual.”

With this arrest, the court has decided to keep him in custody until Tuesday (June 20). Another lawyer for Boosie, Damon Alimouri, says his client is being singled out because he’s famous, has a big voice online and has used that voice to critique the criminal justice system.

“I think some of this has to do that he’s quote outspoken on social media,” Alimouri said. “Ultimately, Boosie has a First Amendment right.”

And with his first amendment right, he has the right to speak out.

Azealia Banks Lambasts Doja Cat For “Corny” Music And Disses Kendrick Lamar

Azealia Banks criticized Doja Cat and Kendrick Lamar in an Instagram Stories rant on Friday (June 16).

The outspoken rapper complained about Doja Cat’s music after the pop star dropped a new single titled “Attention.” Azealia Banks was unimpressed, taking issue with Doja Cat’s focus on rapping.

“I really be wanting to like Doja’s music but it’s all just sooo try hard,” Azealia Banks wrote. “Her first album was actually cool as hell… it was her own authentic art voice… Doja doesn’t have the theater training/authentic hunger needed to seamlessly be the master of genre she’s trying to be. She sounds like a white girl that grew up in a house LOL.”

She continued, “Like her approach to trying to conceptualize an authentic rap record is giving Angel Haze NYC WANNABE levels of boring rippity rap/cheesy SoHo whiteboy hypebeast circa ’06. Like she’s giving me those weird FKA Twigs biracial girl identity crisis vibes … Lol sis, these rap n##### are dickriders and are def gonna gas you like you ate it, but I’m telling you with love…… This is DUMB corny.”

Azealia Banks referred to Doja Cat as “Doja Lamar” and claimed the new music was “not the artistic statement she wants it to be.” The opinionated rapper then turned her attention to Kendrick Lamar, belittling his work.

“To be fair, Kendrick got some cool hooks and melodies but I think he’s MAD overrated and extremely complacent,” she wrote. “I don’t care to argue about ghostwriters because who cares, but nah…. Kendrick dead ass has white ghostwriters writing about the black struggle n s### … He be making that kind of rap music that allows white people to indulge in weird fetishization of ‘the black struggle’ to patronize and absolve themselves of any real social responsibility because they think being a Kendrick fan is proof that they are ‘Allies.’”

Azealia Banks scoffed at Kendrick Lamar ranking himself among Hip-Hop’s elite. She didn’t consider him to be in the same league as Drake, much less Jay-Z.

“Kendrick is really buggin if he thinks he’s f##### with Drake on any day,” she wrote. “I LOL’ed hard at that lil sub he threw Drake and laughed EVEN HARDER at him thinking he’s skilled enough to put his name in the same sentence with Jay…. Like my n####, u r not f### with Wayne/Drake/Styles P/Jadakiss/Nicki Minaj/Remy Ma/OR Azealia Banks.”

J. Cole Makes It To NBA With Stake In Charlotte Hornets

Basketball legend Michael Jordan agreed to sell his majority stake in the Charlotte Hornets to an ownership group featuring J. Cole.

The Hornets announced Jordan’s deal with an ownership group led by Gabe Plotkin and Rick Schnall on Friday (June 16). J. Cole secured a minority stake in the NBA team as one of the group’s investors.

Plotkin became a minority owner of the Hornets in 2019. Schnall has been a minority owner of the Atlanta Hawks since 2015, but he is currently in the process of selling his stake in the Hawks.

Jordan will remain with the Hornets as a minority owner of the team. He was the NBA’s first former player who became a majority owner in the league.

The six-time NBA champion purchased the Charlotte franchise, which was then known as the Bobcats, from BET founder Bob Johnson in 2010. Jordan bought a minority stake in the team in 2006. A few years later, he paid roughly $180 million to take majority control of the team.

J. Cole and country singer Eric Church were the most notable investors in the Hornets’ new ownership group. The other investors included Chris Shumway, Dan Sundheim, Ian Loring, Dyal HomeCourt Partners, Amy Levine Dawson and Damian Mills.

Ja Morant Suspended 25 Games; Loses More Than $7 Million Over Gun

The NBA suspended Ja Morant for 25 games after he brandished a gun on social media for the second time in a matter of months.

Morant previously served an eight-game suspension for waving a gun around on Instagram Live in March. Fans saw the Memphis Grizzlies guard wield a gun again on Instagram Live in May. The NBA announced his suspension for the start of the 2023-2024 season on Friday (June 16).

“Ja Morant’s decision to once again wield a firearm on social media is alarming and disconcerting given his similar conduct in March for which he was already suspended eight games,” NBA commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement. “The potential for other young people to emulate Ja’s conduct is particularly concerning. Under these circumstances, we believe a suspension of 25 games is appropriate and makes clear that engaging in reckless and irresponsible behavior with guns will not be tolerated.”

Morant issued a statement about the suspension on Friday. He apologized for his actions, which will cost him more than $7.6 million. The basketball star vowed to work on his mental health and decision-making.

“I’ve had time to reflect and I realize how much hurt I’ve caused,” Morant said. “I want to apologize to the NBA, the Grizzlies, my teammates and the city of Memphis. To Adam Silver, Zach Kleiman and Robert Pera – who gave me the opportunity to be a professional athlete and have supported me, I’m sorry for the harm I’ve done. To the kids who look up to me, I’m sorry for failing you as a role model. I promise I’m going to be better. To all my sponsors, I’m going to be a better representation of our brands. And to all my fans, I’m going to make it up to you, I promise.”

TreLow & Burgy Are Here To Put On For Bossier City, Louisiana

TreLow and Burgy are here to put on for their hometown of Bossier City, Louisiana. The two artists have come together to release a joint project called From Bossier With Love, ready to put their city on the map.

The project will be spearheaded by lead single “What’s Understood,” featuring Hoolibaby Neeno. The empowerment anthem sees all three artists dropping braggadocious bars, reminding listeners they are putting in the work needed to be recognized in this rap game.

Speaking on his sound, TreLow states, “I have a wide variety of music. Some of it is storytelling, getting into my story. I do a lot of real life music, day to day stuff, so anybody who’s living life can relate. You don’t have to be in a certain space or financial bracket, everybody can relate to it. When it’s time to have fun, I go have some fun too. I like to throw a little bit of everything together sometimes, depending on how I’m feeling. But more than likely, you’re going to get some real day to day, real life type stuff.”

Burgy adds, “We got the same style, I’m pretty versatile as well. Most of my catalog consists of real life events, or how I’m feeling this day, how I’m feeling that time. Or something from the past that I’ve never really talked about, that I bring into the song.”

AllHipHop spoke with TreLow and Burgy in downtown Los Angeles, moments before they were on their way to shoot their music video for “Congratulations.” Read below as we discuss their roots in Bossier City, love for music, the new project, goals, and more!

AllHipHop: Talk about being from Bossier City, Louisiana.

Burgy: Bossier City is a small city. Mostly everybody knows each other there. Sometimes peaceful, sometimes not peaceful. Anything can happen at anytime. But all around, I had a lot of great experiences growing up in Bossier. I’m proud to say I’m from there. That’s why we’re doing this now man, trying to rep where we’re from. Make sure people know we’re from Bossier.

TreLow: I would agree.

AllHipHop: Is it near a known city?

Burgy: It’s near a known city, Shreveport.

TreLow: Have you heard of Shreveport?

AllHipHop: Nah.

TreLow: Well that makes us feel better. [laughs]

Burgy: Now you know Bossier before Shreveport.

TreLow: You might be the only person to know Bossier before Shreveport.

AllHipHop: When did you guys fall in love with music?

Burgy: It started at a young age for me. I remember hearing artists such as Master P, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, and Tupac on the radio. Ever since then, I’ve been in love with music.

TreLow:  I’d say it started young at a young age for me as well. Growing up in a house where music was played all the time, also as you do just about everything else, it becomes natural to have it included in your processes.

AllHipHop: When did you realize you could do it professionally?

TreLow: For me, in 2015.

Burgy: It wasn’t until 2019 I started taking music more seriously. I started getting feedback from close friends. That’s when I really started investing in myself.

AllHipHop: So how did y’all come together to do this project, From Bossier With Love?

Burgy: I think it started out with features. He featured on my project 92, which is out right now. He was featured on one of my songs, then featured on another song. Both of the songs were good. We’re like hey, you trying to link up to a project? Alright, s###.

TreLow: Pretty much that. It made sense, and we went to high school together. We knew each other from way back. After working together and doing a few features, organically it meshed well and gave me the thought “Oh damn, we’ll probably make some good music together now.”

AllHipHop: What can we expect from the project?

Burgy: Versatility, for one thing. A lot of different subjects going on for different lifestyles. We got a little bit of something for everyone on there. It’s gonna be very enjoyable. If you’re a fan of different, good music, this is what you want to tune into.

TreLow: You could expect a variety of everything. No matter what kind of music, who you are, there’s at least a song that you’ll probably enjoy on there.

AllHipHop: What inspired “What’s Understood”?

Burgy: We just heard the beat…

TreLow: Basically, it was Louisiana. We were making songs together at that point, all the songs had a serious tone to them at that time. I heard that beat and thought to myself, this would be fun. It was really a relief for me from all the serious s### that we were doing.  We took that concept and made it our own thing.

Burgy: Our own type of music.

TreLow: That was the fun part about it. Being inspired and us being where we’re from, it fit. That’s what goes on. That beat, the feel, it makes you want to move.

Burgy: It’ll get you on your feet.

AllHipHop: Any goals for yourself?

Burgy: I want to be a known music name in my city, one of those guys that you can reach out to for anything that you need in the music industry. That goes for artists, producers, songwriters, or whatever your craft is.

TreLow: My biggest goal within the next five years, being free. When I say free, free from the 9 to 5 that we talked about earlier. To be able to move how I want to move, when I want to move, and do what I love to do without lacking financial stability. That’s the biggest thing I’m working towards, whether it’s through music, or in general.

AllHipHop: Anything else y’all want to know want to let the people know?

Burgy: Project dropping June 12th. Y’all tune in. You can follow me on Instagram at @therealburgy. Burgy on all streaming platforms.

TreLow: He knocked it out the park, just the project name again, “From Bossier With Love”.  Follow me @trelow.

Cardi B Gets Up Close & Personal With Laser Process For Butt Crack

Cardi B shared with her fans her hair removal process. On Thursday (June 15), the “WAP” chart-topper filmed herself having her entire body zapped with lasers.

Taking to her Instagram Story, she wrote, “It’s that time again you f##kers. I’m so scared. It’s time to laser my whole body because baby, I told y’all, I’m a hairy b##ch,” the Grammy Award winner said. “But I keep it under control.”

While giggling as she talked about the hairiness, she said, “We trying to keep that booty hole brown only. You know what I’m saying? Sometimes it can get a little dark up close.”

And to give some support to the technicians servicing her, Cardi B let her fans know where she goes to get zapped: Rich Bich Clinic in New York City. According to Page Six, she said the clinic is “the best” with “color skin.”

In 2022, she revealed there’s a reason why she opts to do laser removal versus waxing: “So your hair can get softer and little by little … [it] will stop growing. A lot of y’all be getting … razer [sic] bumps, ingrown hair, we get a little dark down there … and y’all be putting turmeric [on it]. Y’all be putting lemons and s–t. B####, you’re not making a tea with your p##sy.”

As noted by WebMD, laser hair removal is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in the United States. The process “beams highly concentrated light into hair follicles, the pigment in the follicles absorbs the light, and that in turn destroys the hair.” The procedure is great on coarse hair, most commonly found with people of color, and doesn’t damage the skin.

Biz Markie’s Widow Commemorates Late MC Ahead Of Second Anniversary Of His Death

Biz Markie died at a Maryland hospital on July 16, 2021, several months after being admitted for diabetes-related complications. As news of his death spread online, the Hip-Hop community came out in droves to pay their respects. On Friday (June 16) his widow, Tara, paid tribute online with an Instagram post that included video of Biz Markie DJing at an outside party. At the same time, she announced the Just A Friend Foundation and confirmed a documentary about Biz Markie’s life, All Up in the Biz, will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on Saturday (June 17).

“Dear Biz, on this day I want you to know I’ve kept my promise of keeping your legacy alive,” Tara captioned the post. “We launched Biz Markie’s Just A Friend Foundation in your honor to help children in the system you were brought up in and ultimately becoming the legend you are.

All Up in the Biz was directed by Ego Trip co-founder Sacha Jenkins using animation, interviews, reenactments and more to tell Biz’s story. The film features Rakim, fellow Juice Crew member Big Daddy Kane, Fat Joe, Nick Cannon and Doug E. Fresh, among others.

Prince Paul provided the score for the film, which he discussed in an interview with Variety.

“I just finished scoring a documentary for Biz Markie,” Prince Paul said. “Just finished that, and watching it and then scoring it was so tough because I’d known him since I was a kid, so it was bittersweet. There were things about him I didn’t even know.

“And another part that made it bittersweet is it was the first thing I ever scored without my friend [Don] Newkirk, who passed in November. That was way different for me. He’s been there ever since I’ve started making music.”

Casanova Gets Face Slashed In Prison After Renouncing Gorilla Stone

Casanova was reportedly the recent victim of jail violence, receiving vicious slashes to his face in an altercation with another inmate. This incident comes days after the former gang member renounced his association with the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation sect of the Blood gang.

According to NBC 4, while awaiting sentencing in his RICO case at the Essex County Correction Facility in Newark, he was attacked on Thursday (June 15).

Court documents report Casanova, whose real name is Caswell Senior, was physically assaulted with a weapon—believed to be some sort of blade across the face—by another inmate named Ulysses Lugo.

After getting slashed, he chased Lugo, jumped on top of him and “cut Inmate Lugo’s face several times.” Reports say Casanova didn’t act alone. Others hopped into the altercation and joined in the violent melee.

A correction officer said: “Inmate Lugo? You couldn’t see his face because it was saturated in blood… and his whole uniform was saturated in blood. Inmate Senior was sitting there and blood was just coming out of his face.”

A spokesperson for Essex County, Anthony Puglisi said, “This minor incident and whether weapons were employed is under investigation.”

As previously reported by AllHipHop, Casanova faces a minimum sentence of 15 years with a potential maximum of 60 years following his alleged involvement in the notorious street gang.

The rapper’s lawyers confirmed Casanova has already admitted his guilt, candidly discussed his membership in Gorilla Stone and acknowledged he promoted a gang lifestyle in hopes of getting a lighter sentence.

“I am telling you and anyone that will listen that I wanted out before I was arrested and I am out,” he said. “I learned through my music career that people will listen and that I don’t need to associate myself with a gang to succeed. I don’t need to associate with a gang even if I don’t succeed.

“I thought I needed to stay in the life in name because it was a way to promote my career. I don’t care what the government tells you. I am telling you the truth. I was not involved in the daily activities of this gang. I wasn’t anyone’s boss. What I was and I regret this was a person that they could use to promote themselves in a world I swear to you I was trying to leave. I clearly did not do a good enough job of this as I did find myself in one bad situation after another.”

Casanova’s sentencing is scheduled for June 27.

Bill Cosby Hit With More Sexual Assault Allegations In New Federal Lawsuit

Bill Cosby has been accused of sexual assault and battery—again. According to NBC News, the 85-year-old “Cosby Show” creator and, at one time, America’s Dad, has been hit with a lawsuit filed by lawyers for nine women in U.S. District Court in Nevada.

The allegations state that between 1979 and 1992, he drugged or attempted to drug each one before sexually assaulting them. He’s also accused of battery, assault, infliction of emotional distress and false imprisonment.

The women listed as plaintiffs in the lawsuit are Lise Lotte-Lublin, Lili Bernard, Janice Baker-Kinney, Rebecca Cooper, Janice Dickinson, Linda Kirkpatrick, Angela Leslie, Pam Joy Abeyta and Heidi Thomas.

Lotte-Lublin said she was actually drugged and raped, adding in a statement, “For years I have fought for survivors of sexual assault and today is the first time I will be able to fight for myself.”

According to the claim, his “enormous power, fame and prestige” led him to attempt to do what he wanted sexually with them. Many might look at the time and wonder how come these allegations are coming up now.

Just weeks ago, Nevada passed a law eliminating the statute of limitations for civil cases, opening the door for them to file this federal civil claim and be compensated for what they say was a civil violation.
