Yo-Yo Mixes Hip-Hop History With Kitchen Flavor In Her FOX 5 DC Interview

Yo-Yo served up a blend of music legacy and culinary flair during her appearance on FOX 5 DC, where she spotlighted her cooking series “Downright Delicious with Yo-Yo” and reflected on her decades-long journey through Hip-Hop and beyond.

The Grammy-nominated artist joined FOX 5’s Marissa Mitchell to talk about her latest venture on Aspire TV. The show, which airs Tuesdays, features the rapper sharing home-style recipes with the same energy that helped define her as a force in West Coast Hip-Hop.

“It’s a gift from God. I love to cook. I mean, it’s the only time I can bring my family from upstairs to downstairs. And it’s my passion. It’s something that I’ve been doing for a long time,” Yo Yo said. “I play music. I invite people over. I cook for you. I create a great cocktail for you. I beat you in dominoes and spades. And we have an amazing time. And this is just my way, another way of feeding the community.”

“Downright Delicious with Yo-Yo” isn’t just about food, it’s about culture, family and connection. The show reflects the values that Yo-Yo has long championed, both in her music and her community work.

The Los Angeles native rose to prominence in the late 1980s, earning acclaim for her collaborations with Ice Cube and her unapologetic voice in a male-dominated genre.

Outside of entertainment, Yo-Yo continues to invest in the next generation through her Yo-Yo School of Hip-Hop, a program that uses music as a tool for education and empowerment.

Her foundation, Cafe Mocha Cares, assists women, children, and families in transitioning from shelters back into society. The organization celebrated its 15th anniversary, hosting the “Salute Them Awards.”

The cooking show is another chapter in her evolving career, one that blends her creative talents with her dedication to uplifting communities.

SLAWN & OPAKE Bring “Heroes, Villains & Violence” To Miami’s Art Of Hip-Hop

London-based artists SLAWN and OPAKE announced a deeply personal and visually arresting exhibit at The Art of Hip-Hop in Miami, using paint, pain and past trauma to anchor their three-day show, “Heroes, Villains, and Violence,” during the city’s busiest cultural week.

The show explores themes of personal redemption and transformation, drawing directly from both artists’ real-life struggles and creative rebirths.

SLAWN, born Adebayo Oke-Lawal, blends his Nigerian roots with a bold street art aesthetic, turning massive wood panels into layered reflections of race, class and pop culture.

His chaotic compositions and repeated imagery mirror the cycles of substance abuse and the mental toll it takes.

The exhibit’s boxing motif symbolizes the artists’ ongoing internal battles and their fight to stay on track while providing for their families.

Two Brothers In Court Under High-Security Over AKA Murder After Interpol Take Down

Two brothers have landed in a South African courtroom after a high-security extradition tied to the brazen 2023 killing of Hip-Hop icon AKA outside a Durban restaurant.

Escorted by police helicopters and surrounded by armed officers, Siyabonga and his brother Malusi Ndimande were flown in from Eswatini on November 11 following a coordinated international takedown led by Interpol.

The pair now face 20 charges, including murder, attempted murder, conspiracy and multiple firearms offenses.

The charges stem primarily from the February 2023 shooting that killed South African rap heavyweight Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his close friend and entrepreneur Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

But prosecutors say the brothers are also linked to the killing of a taxi boss in Amanzimtoti, a coastal town near Durban, in a separate case.

The Durban Magistrate’s Court appearance marks a significant development in a case that rattled South Africa’s music scene and left a void in the country’s Hip-Hop landscape.

AKA, 35, was the best-selling rapper in South African history, known for chart-toppers such as “Fela in Versace,” “All Eyes on Me,” and “Prada.” His 2022 single “Lemons (Lemonade)” was still climbing streaming charts when he was gunned down.

The hit was carried out outside a busy restaurant in Durban, in what police described as a calculated assassination.

The murder stunned the entertainment industry and ended a career that had fused American Hip-Hop with South African rhythms, earning AKA both local and international acclaim.

His final album continued to gain traction throughout 2023, with posthumous honors highlighting the scope of his influence.

Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, a spokesperson for the South African Police Service, credited the joint efforts of law enforcement across borders.

“The collaborative investigation between South African and Eswatini authorities, the National Prosecuting Authority and Interpol” led to the successful extradition, she said.

The Ndimande brothers are expected to stand trial alongside five other suspects already in custody for the double homicide. Their next court appearance is scheduled for November 25.

Kylian Mbappé Goes In On French Rapper Orelsan Over Insulting Lyrics—Gets Reply

Orelsan ignited backlash in France after lyrics from his new album referenced Kylian Mbappé and his family’s soccer business, prompting a heated response from the national team captain.

The Normandy-born rapper, known for his introspective style and longtime support of Caen FC, found himself in the middle of a public spat after his track “La petite voix” included the line “You’ll sink your city like the Mbappés.”

The lyric appeared to criticize the Mbappé family’s 2024 acquisition of Caen through their company Interconnected Ventures, a move that preceded the club’s relegation to France’s third division.

Mbappé didn’t hold back. The Real Madrid forward fired off a pointed message on social media and accusing him of hypocrisy.

“You’re welcome to ‘save’ the city you love so much \@‌Orel_san,” Mbappé said. He claimed the rapper once asked for a 1% stake in the club “without paying a cent” because he was “broke.”

Orelsan addressed the controversy during a recent interview on Fun Radio, saying he wasn’t ready to fully engage in the dispute.

“I don’t really feel like responding,” he said. “I’m still in the heat of the moment, and I don’t really want to talk about it. It’s a misunderstanding. I think I just need to properly explain the concept of the album.”

The 43-year-old artist released his fifth studio album La fuite en avant on November 7. The project features 17 tracks and includes a high-profile collaboration with Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk.

The controversial lyric comes from a song that explores his internal struggles and self-doubt, a recurring theme in his music.

Caen’s slide into the third tier of French football came after the Mbappé family took over the club. Orelsan, who grew up in the city, has long been a vocal supporter of the team and frequently references it in his work.

Diddy Prison Release Delayed, 50 Cent Cracks Party Joke

Diddy finds himself serving additional time behind bars after prison officials discovered multiple rule infractions at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution.

The Hip-Hop mogul’s release date shifted from May 8, 2028, to June 4, 2028 – adding an extra month following alleged violations that have captured widespread attention.

Prison sources revealed Diddy was caught consuming bootleg alcohol crafted from fermented sugar, Fanta soda and apples. The makeshift beverage represents a serious breach of facility regulations.

Additionally, the founder of Bad Boy Records allegedly participated in an unauthorized three-way phone conversation on November 3. Diddy claimed ignorance of the prohibition, stating he never received the prison’s admission handbook.

His legal team defended the call as “protected under attorney-client privilege.,” according to Page Six. The extended sentence stems from Diddy’s July conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

His original four-year, two-month sentence includes a $500,000 fine and mandatory participation in rehabilitation programs.

Diddy has remained incarcerated since his September 2024 arrest on federal charges including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent wasted no time responding on Instagram. “Diddy gotta chill out so he can come home. want to throw him a party LOL,” 50 Cent said.

EXCLUSIVE: Drake Accused Of Stealing Acclaimed Portrait For “What Did I Miss Video,” Subliminal Messaging Backfires

Drake is being accused of lifting a National Geographic photographer’s acclaimed gun-themed portrait for his “What Did I Miss” music video, according to a sweeping federal copyright lawsuit that says the rapper hijacked the image’s layout, symbolism, and visual style without permission.

The complaint, filed by Italian photographer Gabriele Galimberti, alleges that the July 4 release deliberately recreated his “Ameriguns” portrait, down to the arrangement of weapons, the subject’s pose beside a pool, the architecture in the background, and the lighting placement.

Galimberti, a longtime National Geographic contributor and World Press Photo winner, says the video’s production team copied the photo so closely that viewers on social media began tagging him before he even knew about the scene.

Court filings include a side-by-side comparison and argue the recreation was so exact that it implied an official collaboration, despite no contact, contract, or licensing arrangement.

The photographer’s “Ameriguns” project features U.S. gun owners amid their personal arsenals, arranged in meticulous geometric patterns. The suit says the video scene not only mimicked this composition but also used Independence Day as its release date to bolster the association with the project’s themes.

Galimberti’s suit says Drake used the July 4 release date to echo the themes of the Ameriguns project and also link himself to the photographer’s past ordeal involving a Balenciaga ad that sparked false claims of pedophilia. Galimberti later won a defamation case abroad, but his photos remained associated with the scandal during intense media coverage.

“Given Kendrick Lamar’s lyrics directed as calling Defendant Graham a pedophile and Defendant Graham’s now dismissed defamation lawsuit, on information and belief, Defendant Graham sought to imply that he, like Plaintiff, would be publicly exonerated,” argued Galimberti’s lawyer, Heather L. Blaise

According to the filing, the segment appears for more than a minute and a half of the four-minute video and has earned significant views and monetization since its premiere. Galimberti argues that the unauthorized use damaged the value of his work, distorted the public’s perception of his career and tied him to a music video he never approved.

The suit targets Drake, OVO Sound, Republic Records, Universal Music Group, and unnamed defendants, accusing them of direct, contributory, and vicarious infringement. It seeks damages, profits, and an injunction stopping further distribution of the video.

Nicki Minaj Abandoned By Longtime Lawyer In $10M Legal Battle

Nicki Minaj finds herself without legal counsel after her longtime attorney, Judd Burstein, suddenly terminated their professional relationship during a contentious $10 million defamation case.

The 42-year-old rapper now scrambles to secure new representation as fan Tameer Peak pursues substantial damages over alleged public humiliation.

The Northstar Group is owned by Londell McMillian, who has represented artists such as Prince, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson.

Reps for the company informed the court that Burstein had “abruptly withdrawn entirely” from representing the Hip-Hop superstar without advance notice.

The unexpected departure leaves Minaj vulnerable in Peak’s lawsuit, which claims she made defamatory statements during a Stationhead broadcast in April 2024.

Peak alleges Nicki Minaj called him “one sandwich short of a picnic” and suggested he “clearly gets a check from the government,” statements he characterizes as false accusations of criminal conduct, stalking and mental disability.

The fan, who previously promoted Minaj’s work on social media, initially filed suit in New Jersey before refiling in New York after the case was dismissed.

Burstein, who successfully defended Minaj in the original New Jersey filing, declined to continue representation in the New York proceedings.

“After I won a dismissal of Tameer Peak’s defamation lawsuit against Nicki in New Jersey, I declined the opportunity to represent her when Peak refiled it in New York,” Burstein told Us Weekly.

He emphasized his decision was “unrelated to any concern about the merits of Peak’s claims” and maintained the complaint is “entirely frivolous.”

Burstein’s website highlights his successful representation of Minaj in two previous cases, including a $20 million lawsuit that was dismissed in 2022 and a 2024 defamation case that resulted in a gag order against a blogger.

His departure removes an experienced advocate familiar with Minaj’s legal strategy and case history. The legal setback compounds mounting financial pressures facing the “Super Bass” artist.

Nicki Minaj simultaneously battles efforts to seize her $20 million Hidden Hills mansion over a separate $500,000 judgment.

Thomas Weidenmuller, who claims assault by Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, during a 2019 incident, obtained a default judgment and filed court documents seeking authorization to sell the property.

The rapper’s legal troubles extend beyond civil litigation. Her husband, Kenneth Petty, a registered sex offender, faces an ongoing civil lawsuit claiming he attempted to bully his offender into recanting.

HeadKrack Explains New Project & New Song

Headkrack’s “MiKroDose+” Takes Hip-Hop on a Spiritual Trip Through Pain, Healing, and Imagination

Veteran Bronx MC and media personality Headkrack’s latest project, MiKroDose+ is a deeply personal, spiritually charged musical journey that bridges Hip-Hop, R&B and the human condition.

The album, inspired by Ayahuascafueled introspection and emotional healing, explores the raw dualities of life: hate vs. love, anger vs. joy, pain vs. pleasure. Headkrack describes it as “a voyage toward inner parity — finding balance through confronting trauma and embracing growth.”

Clocking in under an hour, MiKroDose+ is compact but layered, weaving thoughtful interludes, dynamic production, and powerful features into a narrative about self-awareness and the pursuit of peace. The project channels both spiritual elevation and street-level introspection, embodying Headkrack’s signature mix of wit, vulnerability, and wordplay.

With MiKroDose+, Headkrack fuses his media charisma and lyrical mastery into something far more personal — a sonic medicine for the soul.

EXCLUSIVE: Erick Sermon Reveals Craig Mack Was Almost Part Of Hit Squad

Craig Mack is renowned as the first star of Bad Boy Records and rapper behind the 1994 hit “Flava in Ya Ear.” But he was almost part of Hit Squad, according to the collective’s co-founder Erick Sermon.

In a recent interview with AllHipHop, Sermon revealed Mack was almost indoctrinated alongside fellow Hit Squad members EPMD, Keith Murray, Redman, Hurricane G and K-Solo, and was close to signing with Sermon’s label.

“Craig Mack was originally meant to be part of the Hit Squad, but then EPMD broke up,” Sermon explained. “That’s when my man—rest in peace—Alvin Toney introduced him to Puff, and Craig ended up signing with Bad Boy. From the start, Craig Mack was on our label, and he wanted to be with the Hit Squad.

“That’s a real piece of history. Craig and I were close friends—we listened to Public Enemy together at my grandmother’s house every weekend. He would get dropped off at my grandma’s; we were always hearing new tracks. That’s how close we were. Rest in peace, Craig.”

Mack went on to release his gold-certified debut, Project: Funk da World, with Bad Boy in September 1994, but his initial achievements quickly faded due to the overwhelming impact of The Notorious B.I.G.’s debut, Ready to Die, which launched just days ahead of Mack’s own album.

Although Diddy publicly spoke in a 1994 MTV interview about plans for Mack’s sophomore release, which included Mack and Biggie, the project didn’t materialize as described, leaving Mack in a state of uncertainty during the appearance.

Ultimately, Mack released another album independently in 1997, but none of its tracks gained traction and his earlier success eluded him. The Notorious B.I.G. later indicated that his participation in Mack’s “Flava in Ya Ear” remix was motivated by label politics.

Diddy even likened Mack to George Clinton in a New York Times interview for his innovative style. After several attempts at a comeback in the early 2000s, Mack was reported to be working on a third album in 2002, appearing in the “I Need a Girl (Part One)” music video and releasing “Mack Tonight” in 2006. Mack stepped away from music until a surprising 2012 YouTube video revealed he had joined a Christian ministry in South Carolina, where he lived out his remaining years.

Mack died in 2012 at the age of 47. While initial reports from his family and the media cited congestive heart failure as the cause, a Rolling Stone investigation and Mack’s death certificate later revealed the cause of death was actually complications related to HIV/AIDS, which Mack had reportedly refused to treat.

Mack’s family has shared that he kept the nature of his illness private, telling friends he was suffering from heart disease In his last months, his health rapidly declined—he lost significant weight, used a cane and eventually became bedridden, with his family by his side in his final days.

Sermon is preparing to release his new album, Dynamic Duos Vol. 1, on November 21.

AI Artist Xania Monet May Already Have Music Beef

K. Michelle vs. AI: The Battle Over Xania Monet’s “Borrowed” Voice Heats Up

K. Michelle is not here for the machines. The R&B siren has called out a new AI-generated singer named Xania Monet. K, who Ihave a thang for, says Xania’s tone sounds a little too familiar.

Xania, an AI R&B artist created by producer Telisha “Nikki” Jones, just made history as the first AI act to chart on Billboard through radio airplay. That’s wild, but not as wild as what happens next. K. Michelle is at the center of a brewing legal showdown.

Some fans pointed out that Xania’s vocals sounded eerily like K. Michelle’s. And you know K. is not about to stay quiet. The Memphis-born songstress hopped on live and let it be known! She said this AI experiment crossed a line. “AI people using my tones and my voice… now I gotta go find a lawyer,” she said. I looked at the video and determined that she is very serious.

Fans and artists alike are not vibing with how AI is blurring the lines between innovation and imitation. Some say she is crazy, but we know that the voice of Tania has to come from somewhere. And it is feeling like K. has a case when you see how far the bot has taken it. She’s being pushed through legitimate music industry channels…charting, getting airplay and even interviews. Whoa.

Nikki Jones, the human mind behind Xania, told Gayle King she’s not stealing anything…definitely not K. Michelle. She described Xania as “an artistic extension” of herself—a creative way to explore new music without the traditional pressures of fame. “I write the lyrics myself,” Jones said. “Xania is not a shortcut. She’s part of me.”

K. Michelle disagrees. She says she did not consent to her voice being replicated on any level. And guess what? Her fans are rallying behind her online! Artists and producers are calling for more protection.

What happens when AI can perfectly mimic your tone, phrasing and emotion? This is a major issue. Will they sign artists anymore? What happens when a man pretends to be an AI woman? What about a white person acts like a hood rapper? This is about to be a mess.

For now, Xania Monet’s rise is not being stopped.

K. Michelle’s lawyers are probably on deck, but there has yet to be a lawsuit filed.

Kanye West Threatened With Arrest In Brazil Over Nazi-Themed Lyrics

Kanye West could be taken into custody in Brazil if he references Nazi ideology or performs his track “Heil Hitler” during his November 29 concert in São Paulo, according to local prosecutors. Authorities have issued a strict warning that any such act will result in immediate arrest.

São Paulo Mayor Ricardo Nunes made the city’s stance unmistakably clear during a public statement Monday. “No one who promotes Nazism will play or sing any words on public equipment belonging to the City Hall,” he said. “We do not accept it and we will do everything necessary to ensure that no one who promotes Nazism has any kind of activity here in the city of São Paulo.”

Nunes added, “Here in the city of São Paulo, we will not allow events by people who promote Nazism in municipal spaces.”

The São Paulo State Public Prosecutor’s Office has also included concert organizers Guilherme Cavalcante and Jean Fabrício Ramos, also known as Faublous Fabz, in the arrest order. All three individuals—West, Cavalcante and Ramos—face detention if any Nazi-related content appears during the event.

The original venue, the Interlagos racetrack, was pulled by city officials following backlash over West’s past antisemitic remarks. His team is now scrambling to find a new location for the show.

In October, prosecutor Ana Beatriz Pereira de Souza Frontini issued a ruling that bars West from wearing or displaying Nazi symbols during his stay in Brazil. The restrictions reflect growing concern over the rapper’s public statements and their potential to incite hate.

The concert’s status remains uncertain, especially with West’s upcoming performances in South Africa on December 13 and Mexico on January 30.

Earlier this month, West met with Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto in what appeared to be an effort to make amends. During the meeting, he said, “I feel really blessed to sit here and take accountability. I was dealing with various issues. I was dealing with bipolar also, so I would take the ideas I had and forget about the protection of the people around me and myself. So I wanted to take accountability.”

The São Paulo situation is the latest fallout from West’s history of inflammatory rhetoric, which has already damaged his reputation and business relationships across multiple countries.

Brazilian authorities have not confirmed whether an alternate venue will be approved before the scheduled date of November 29.

“Predator: Badlands” Redefines Sci-Fi Franchise Through Heart & Action

Review: “Predator: Badlands”

Predator: Badlands marks the latest chapter in the long-running Predator franchise, once again helmed by Dan Trachtenberg, whose credits include 10 Cloverfield Lane, Prey and Predator: Killer of Killers. The new installment in the 38-year-old series features a strong cast led by Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, Elle Fanning and Cliff Curtis.

The film follows Dek, a young Yautja viewed as the weak link of his clan, who sets out to earn the respect of his ruthless father, Njohri. Tasked with hunting an unkillable creature known as The Kalisk, Dek travels to the volatile planet Genna. There, he encounters Thia, a damaged synthetic robot. Together, Dek and Thia form an unexpected alliance as they navigate the planet’s deadly terrain, facing both monstrous threats and emotional revelations in their quest to confront The Kalisk.

Simply put, Predator: Badlands is an impressive entry in the franchise. Building on the success of Prey and Predator: Killer of Killers, Trachtenberg returns with a bold, emotional and often humorous sci-fi adventure packed with thrilling action. What sets Badlands apart is its perspective—it unfolds through the eyes of the Yautja rather than the hunted humans. This fresh approach transforms the film into a coming-of-age story that balances heart, spectacle and mythology.

Schuster-Koloamatangi delivers a standout performance as Dek, skillfully conveying depth and emotion through physical expression. His portrayal anchors the film, making Dek’s journey both gripping and relatable. Fanning shines as Thia, bringing warmth, wit and sincerity to her role. Her dynamic with Dek feels genuine, creating an unexpected sense of partnership that drives the film’s emotional core. Meanwhile, Cliff Curtis brings authority and menace as Njohri, embodying the violent pride of a father pushing his son to extremes.

Trachtenberg’s direction continues to elevate the Predator universe. With his third contribution, he expands the mythology and visual scope, exploring the culture and communication of the Yautja species in greater depth than ever before. The film’s pacing is brisk and its world-building feels rich without bogging down the action.

Despite its PG-13 rating, Badlands delivers exhilarating set pieces and intense survival moments. From the creatures of Genna to the climactic showdown, the action sequences are expertly executed. Visually, the film is stunning—Jeff Cutter’s cinematography captures the alien landscapes beautifully, while the CGI work from Weta FX and ILM enhances the realism and spectacle.

Some longtime fans may take issue with the film’s lighter tone. The emotional beats, humor and presence of a creature companion give it a more accessible feel compared to the grittier 1987 original or 2022’s Prey. Still, as a sci-fi adventure with heart, Badlands succeeds on its own terms.

Clocking in at a lean one hour and 47 minutes, Predator: Badlands is a refreshing and ambitious addition to the series. While it trades some of the franchise’s brutality for emotional depth and inventive storytelling, it remains a thrilling and visually captivating ride.

Rating: 4 out of 5

Predator: Badlands is now playing in theaters nationwide.

Tory Lanez Suffers Devastating Blow As Court Upholds Megan Thee Stallion Conviction

Tory Lanez suffered another devastating legal blow on Wednesday (November 12), when California’s appeals court rejected his bid to overturn his conviction for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.

The three-justice panel from the 2nd District Court of Appeal delivered a 46-page ruling that demolished the defense’s claims of trial errors, cementing the Canadian rapper’s 10-year prison sentence.

The 33-year-old artist now faces mounting legal pressure, as he has been ordered to sit for his third deposition in Megan’s ongoing defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz. However, court documents reveal he won’t have to answer questions about the actual shooting incident that landed him behind bars.

The appeals court justices delivered a scathing assessment of the Tory Lanez/ case, noting the testimony was “more than sufficient to support the jury’s finding that the rapper personally inflicted great bodily injury on” the Grammy-winning rapper, whose real name is Megan Pete.

The ruling effectively ends Tory Lanez’s hopes of escaping his December 2022 conviction on three felony counts: assault with a semiautomatic firearm, possession of a concealed unregistered firearm and negligent discharge of a firearm.

The shooting occurred July 12, 2020 during a heated argument following a gathering at Kylie Jenner‘s Hollywood Hills residence.

During the explosive trial, Megan testified that Tory Lanez shot her in both feet after telling her to “dance, b####,” and later offered her $1 million to stay quiet about the incident.

The Houston rapper initially hesitated to speak publicly, admitting she “didn’t want to be a snitch” but felt compelled to “defend [her] name” when false narratives began circulating.

Tory Lanez’s legal troubles have only intensified since his incarceration.

During an April deposition related to Megan’s defamation case against Milagro Gramz, the imprisoned rapper turned the proceedings into chaos.

Lanez repeatedly interrupted attorneys, accused them of planning to leak footage “to fake some sort of narrative,” and deflected basic questions by demanding definitions of simple words like “discuss” and “approve.”

When asked if he agreed that Megan Thee Stallion and Megan Pete were the same person, he responded evasively: “There’s a lot of Ms. Petes in this world. Which Ms. Pete are you talking about?” He even instructed his lawyer to “Google how many Megan Petes there are in the world.”

The disruptive behavior backfired spectacularly. A federal judge ordered Tory Lanez to pay Megan’s legal fees for the botched deposition and mandated that his upcoming third deposition be supervised by a magistrate judge.

Megan’s legal team described his conduct as “so disruptive, inflammatory and inconsistent with the basic norms of civil litigation” that it “made a mockery of the proceedings.”

The defamation lawsuit centers on allegations that Milagro Gramz, whose real name is Milagro Cooper, acted as the rap star’s “paid surrogate” to spread “vicious and hateful rumors” about Megan. The case claims Cooper promoted deepfake pornographic videos of the rapper and falsely suggested she suffers from alcoholism and requires a guardian.

In January, a Los Angeles judge granted Megan a five-year restraining order against Tory Lanez, citing “conduct that culminated in [Lanez] shooting approximately five rounds at petitioner that resulted in injuries to her.”

The order requires him to stay at least 100 yards away from Megan until January 2030.

During emotional testimony for the restraining order, Megan revealed the ongoing toll of the harassment campaign: “I haven’t been at peace since I been shot, and I’m just trying to be un-harassed, not only by the person who shot me, but by the people he’s been paying to continue to harass me.”

A$AP Relli Drops A$AP Rocky Lawsuit, Says It Ruined His Career

A$AP Relli has officially pulled the plug on his assault lawsuit against A$AP Rocky, ending a long legal standoff that stemmed from a 2021 confrontation outside a Hollywood hotel.

The civil trial, which was slated to begin in January, would have revisited the same incident that led to Rocky’s criminal trial earlier this year, where he was acquitted of firing a gun at Relli, born Terrell Ephron. But now, Relli has opted to walk away from the case entirely.

“At this point, he’s ready to simply move on from the shooting,” Relli’s attorney told Billboard. “The ordeal has been a nightmare for him, and the statements calling him a ‘liar’ and worse effectively eliminated his chances of a career in the industry.”

The decision marks a major shift in a saga that began in November 2021, when Relli accused Rocky, whose legal name is Rakim Mayers, of firing two shots at him during an argument. Rocky has always denied the allegation, claiming the weapon was a prop gun loaded with blanks.

In 2022, prosecutors charged the Grammy-nominated rapper with two felony counts of assault with a firearm. Rocky refused a plea deal and took the case to trial, where he was acquitted in February.

Despite dropping the assault suit, Relli is still pursuing a separate defamation case against both Rocky and his attorney, Joe Tacopina. The lawsuit centers on media interviews in which they dismissed Relli’s claims as “extortion” and a “get-rich-quick-scheme.”

The initial civil suit, filed in 2022, sought financial damages for the alleged shooting. Unlike the criminal case, the civil trial would have required a lower standard of proof. But with the case now dismissed, Relli appears to be shifting his focus.

His attorney said he’s now “focusing on rebuilding his life.” The dropped lawsuit clears Rocky of any remaining assault-related litigation tied to the November 2021 incident.

Tiffany Haddish Makes Surprising Wedding Announcement On Her Africa Trip

Tiffany Haddish turned a girls’ trip into a personal milestone when she married herself during a private ceremony in Africa, aiming to embrace self-accountability and inner growth.

The Emmy-winning actress and comedian, 45, staged the symbolic wedding while filming her upcoming Peacock docuseries, Tiffany Haddish Goes Off, set to premiere Thursday (November 13).

The six-part series follows Haddish and her childhood friends—Selena Martin, Shermona Long and Sparkle Clark—through Zimbabwe and Cape Town, South Africa.

“I thought to do that because first, I wanted to have a little party,” Haddish told the New York Post. “Second, I also wanted to hold myself accountable for some things.”

The trip wasn’t just for adventure. Haddish used the journey to reflect on her personal challenges and renew her commitment to herself.

The self-marriage comes after a turbulent stretch for Haddish, including two DUI-related arrests in 2022 and 2023.

In 2024, she also drew backlash on social media after posting a TikTok video expressing surprise at finding a grocery store in Zimbabwe. Some viewed the clip as culturally tone-deaf.

Haddish also faced criticism online after visiting Israel in early 2024, stating it was an “educational trip” to learn firsthand about the aftermath of the October 7 attacks and the ongoing conflict.

Haddish likened the criticism to physical pain. “Getting social media backlash feels ‘like walking on a Lego,'” she said. “I’ve got to be more careful about what I post. It’s irritating, but it’s a part of the business.”

Tiffany Haddish Reveals “Marriage” Has Boosted Her Dating Life

The actress was previously married to William Stewart from 2008 to 2013 and dated Common from 2020 to 2021. But this time, she’s committing to herself.

“This marriage to me has been going very good. We have been having a fantastic time seeing who our third is going to be,” Haddish joked. “Who is gonna be the third wheel?”

The unconventional ceremony has even changed her dating life. “I’m getting more dates now, when I tell [men] I’m married. If you tell a man you’re married, but you’re willing to go out with him, he’s like, ‘Oh, she’s a freak!'”

Haddish also maintains a close bond with fellow comedian Kevin Hart, who once helped her during a rough patch by paying for a hotel when she was homeless. When asked if Hart knew about her new marital status, she replied, “You just told him.”

“It’s not everybody’s business that I’m in a relationship with me. I mean, first of all, my relationship with me is my relationship…So I haven’t told everybody,” the comic said. “Sometimes I wear my wedding ring and people are like, ‘Oh, my God, where did you get that?’ I’m like ‘Africa. I’m married!'”

She closed the conversation with a message about honoring personal commitments.

“If you going to keep any promises in life, the promises you make to yourself are the main ones you need to be keeping,” she explained. “That’s the longest relationship you’re going to have, and there’s no ceremony for you, to you. There’s no ceremony for that. So, f### it, I’m marrying me.”

“A Different World” Sequel Series Directed By Legend Debbie Allen Nearly Netflix-Ready

Netflix is taking viewers back to Hillman College with the announcement of a sequel to A Different World, the beloved 1980s sitcom that helped redefine television’s portrayal of Black college life.

The streaming giant confirmed the news in a statement, declaring, “We’re officially heading back to Hillman! Introducing the cast of A Different World, a new sequel series, coming soon to Netflix.”

The revival will reunite key creative forces from the original series, blending nostalgia with a modern perspective. Acclaimed producer and director Debbie Allen will return as both director and executive producer, teaming up with Felicia Pride, known for her work on Grey’s Anatomy and Bel-Air, who will serve as showrunner and executive producer.

“It is such an honor to be a part of bringing back this iconic show, one that I grew up on and which had a profound impact on my life,” Felicia Pride told Netflix. “I am so proud of the work we’re doing to reimagine A Different World for beloved fans and new generations alike.”

Allen, also an accomplished dancer, echoed the sentiment.

“There couldn’t be a better time than now to reboot A Different World,” Allen told Netflix’s Tudum. “Our show changed lives, tripled the enrollment of historically black colleges and gave a strong voice and platform for Young Black America. The incredible fresh young talent we have discovered paired with the lovable audience favorite OGs makes this much-anticipated return a must-see on Netflix.”

Also joining the project are Reggie Rock Bythewood and Gina Prince-Bythewood, the husband-and-wife duo behind Shots Fired and The Woman King. Both worked as writers on the original A Different World and now return as executive producers alongside Mandy Summers and original series producer Tom Werner.

The sequel will center on Deborah Wayne, the free-spirited daughter of A Different World icons Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert-Wayne. The series will follow Deborah as she begins her freshman year at Hillman, determined to carve out her own legacy while navigating friendships, academics, and modern social issues on campus.

The original A Different World, which aired from 1987 to 1993, was a spin-off of The Cosby Show and became a groundbreaking hit for its authentic depiction of HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) culture. The series tackled topics ranging from racial identity and politics to love, ambition, and community responsibility.

Netflix’s revival aims to honor that legacy and reintroduce Hillman to a new generation of viewers. Production details and casting announcements are expected in the coming months.

Chrisean Rock Claims Blueface Attacked Her In His Kitchen

Chrisean Rock ended all co-parenting plans with Blueface after she claimed he violently attacked her during a recent visit to his home in Los Angeles.

The 24-year-old reality star and rapper went live on Instagram to break the news, revealing she’s relocating to Baltimore permanently and leaving behind both the West Coast and her turbulent relationship with Blueface.

She also shared that she’s engaged to a new partner and building a life far away from the chaos.

“If you want to see me, come to Baltimore,” Rock said during the livestream. “I just bought acres of land, I’m building a foundation, a compound, I’m getting married… I’m out the way on purpose, bruh.”

The alleged incident that led to her decision involved a violent confrontation inside Blueface’s kitchen.

“I got stomped out in his kitchen, that’s the last time me and my son will ever be around that. … I’m not doing no co-parenting if my life is on the line,” she said.

The split comes after what seemed like a brief reconciliation following Blueface’s release from jail. That reunion quickly unraveled, and Blueface has since gone public with a new relationship with Love & Hip Hop alum Hazel-E.

The pair’s relationship has long been marred by public disputes and accusations of abuse. Over the years, both Rock and Blueface have aired their grievances online, turning personal issues into headline fodder and social media spectacles.

Rock’s move back to Maryland signals a major shift. She’s investing in property, focusing on raising her son and distancing herself from Los Angeles, where much of her public drama with Blueface has played out.

Her new engagement adds another layer to the story, though she has yet to reveal the identity of her fiancé. Still, she made it clear she’s seeking peace and stability.

This development follows years of back-and-forth between the two, but Rock’s latest comments suggest she’s drawing a firm line.

Jeffrey Epstein Says Trump “Knew About The Girls” In Bombshell Emails

Donald Trump has been thrust back into the Epstein controversy after House Democrats released a batch of emails on Wednesday suggesting the former president knew about Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of young women and chose to stay silent.

The newly revealed exchanges, part of a trove of 23,000 documents obtained from Epstein’s estate, include messages between Epstein, his longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell, and journalist Michael Wolff.

The emails, spanning from 2011 to 2019, were made public by the Democratic members of the House Oversight Committee.

In one 2011 email to Maxwell, Epstein cryptically referred to Trump as “that dog that hasn’t barked,” writing: “I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump.. [Victim] spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned.” Maxwell replied, “I have been thinking about that.”

A more pointed accusation came in a 2019 email to Wolff, where Epstein wrote: “Of course he knew about the girls as he asked ghislaine to stop.” He also pushed back on Trump’s previous claim that he had banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago, stating, “never a member ever.”

Another email from December 2015 showed Epstein and Wolff strategizing over how Trump might respond to questions from CNN about his ties to Epstein.

When Epstein asked, “if we were able to craft an answer for him, what do you think it should be?” Wolff responded, “If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency.”

Wolff added, “You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt.”

Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the Oversight Committee, said the emails raise serious concerns.

“The more Donald Trump tries to cover up the Epstein files, the more we uncover. These latest emails and correspondence raise glaring questions about what else the White House is hiding and the nature of the relationship between Epstein and the President.”

The revelations come as Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking, is reportedly seeking clemency from Trump’s administration. House Judiciary Democrats have already called on the former president to reject any pardon request.

Ro Khanna, a California Democrat, said the disclosures support his bipartisan push with Rep. Thomas Massie to force a House vote on making the full Epstein files public.

“The public deserves transparency and the survivors deserve justice,” Khanna said.

Meanwhile, Hakeem Jeffries, House Minority Leader, accused Republicans of shielding Epstein’s network. “They are running a pedophile protection program,” Jeffries said.

The White House has not commented on the email release. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is expected to address the issue during Wednesday’s briefing.

Epstein died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges.

His network allegedly trafficked underage girls to high-profile figures across multiple states and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The emails are part of a broader push by House Democrats to force the release of the so-called “Epstein Files,” which include names and details tied to his criminal operation.

Locked Up: Akon Arrested In Georgia On Outstanding Warrant

Akon found himself behind bars last Thursday morning (November 6), when Georgia law enforcement executed an outstanding warrant against the multi-platinum artist.

The Chamblee Police Department took the 52-year-old performer into custody, processing him through the DeKalb County jail system before his release approximately six hours later. Born Aliaune Thiam, the “Lonely” hitmaker posed for his booking photograph wearing a black hoodie, maintaining a stoic expression throughout the procedure.

Authorities confirmed the detention stemmed from an out-of-county warrant, though specific details regarding the underlying charges remain undisclosed. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office verified the morning arrest and subsequent booking process to media outlets.

The brief incarceration marks another chapter in what has been a tumultuous year for the Senegalese-American artist. His estranged wife Tomeka Thiam filed divorce papers in September, just four days before their 29th wedding anniversary would have occurred.

Despite the legal entanglement, the Grammy-nominated performer’s detention proved temporary. Jail records indicate his processing and release occurred within the same day, suggesting either bond payment or resolution of the warrant’s underlying issues.

Akon’s representatives have not responded to requests for comment regarding the circumstances surrounding the warrant or his brief detention. The nature of the out-of-county legal matter that prompted the arrest remains under investigation.

The development comes as the “Smack That” collaborator continues managing various business ventures, including his ambitious Akon City project in Senegal, which he recently defended against cancelation reports.

Akon’s legal team has yet to issue any public statements regarding the Georgia incident or potential future court appearances related to the outstanding warrant.

Akon claimed to have served years in prison and been the leader of a car theft ring, but investigations have shown these claims were largely embellished to enhance his street credibility. In reality, Akon spent a few months in jail around 1998 for possession of a stolen car, but the charges were later dropped, and he was never convicted as a ringleader or served a long prison sentence.

He was, however, convicted of felony gun possession and received three years’ probation.

Beyond his self-promoted criminal background, Akon faced controversy for several other legal incidents. In 2007, he was charged with endangering a minor and harassment after tossing a teenager offstage during a concert, an event that resulted in minor injuries to an audience member.

That same year, he faced public backlash for simulating sexual acts onstage with an underage girl in Trinidad and Tobago, which led to the loss of corporate sponsorships.

Rod Wave Busted With Baby Bottle Full Of Lean & Gun Tucked In His Waistband

Rod Wave was arrested in Atlanta after police discovered a baby bottle filled with suspected promethazine in his vehicle during a late-night traffic stop that began with the rapper allegedly speeding through a residential stop sign.

The 25-year-old Florida native was pulled over Friday night after an officer observed him driving 45 mph in a 30 mph zone on Defoor Avenue NW.

According to the arrest warrant, the officer trailed the vehicle without activating lights, writing, “I had a suspicion that the vehicle would flee.”

After following Rod Wave to a QuikTrip gas station, police searched his vehicle and found what they described as “1 fl oz of a purple liquid” suspected to be promethazine inside a baby bottle.

Promethazine, a Schedule V drug, is commonly mixed with codeine and soda to create lean, a substance deeply ingrained in Southern Hip-Hop culture.

The use of baby bottles to consume lean has become a recognizable trend in certain Hip-Hop circles. The bottles are favored for their slow-sip design to help enhance the drug’s sedative effect.

Also in the car was Jamond Byner, who was arrested after police found roughly 7 grams of marijuana and linked him to the same baby bottle.

The search turned up more than just the baby bottle and some weed.

Officers also recovered additional suspected promethazine, oxycodone—a Schedule II controlled substance—a black backpack filled with bundled cash, a Sig Sauer P320 9mm handgun and a Glock .40 caliber pistol with a high-capacity magazine tucked into Rod Wave’s waistband.

Rod Wave now faces multiple charges, including possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies, possession of Schedule II and Schedule V controlled substances, reckless driving and violating Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act.

He was released Saturday after posting an $8,000 bond. His lawyer blasted the Atlanta Police Department for profiling Rod Wave.

“We look forward to vigorously challenging this baseless arrest and the clear violations of Mr. Green’s rights in court,” his attorneys said.

The arrest came on the same day Rod Wave earned his first Grammy nomination, casting a shadow over what should have been a career milestone.

This incident marks his second run-in with Atlanta law enforcement this year. In May, he surrendered to police in connection with more than a dozen charges related to a domestic call in Milton.
